#you lost your right to call yourself a feminist

I'm mostly going to be focusing on staying spiteful and hopeful today but since I've already seen a handful of posts that are like this I do wanna remind everyone that we are dealing with a major surge in radical feminist ideology in queer and progressive spaces, and while I won't fault anyone for venting, now more than ever it is important to familiarize yourself with what radical feminisim is(it is not just hating trans people or trans women it is SO much more and anyone who pretends otherwise is misinformed or intentionally lying) and why it's so dangerous and figure out how to talk about the way the alt-right is targeting young (mostly)white men without getting radfem-y about it.
Don't call them "males" don't act like men are born with misogyny built into their DNA do NOT fucking act like trans men are the enemy and don't spread hopeless bullshit about how men can never improve or will always hate women and thus are a lost cause and the only people we'll ever be safe around are women and queer men who abandon masculinity completely. In the coming years queer, intersex, marginalized, and even some cishet white men will be your allies, they are not a lost cause, they can be swayed to our side, and acting like it's impossible for men to change UPHOLDS the very system that is indoctrinating them right now, it does NOTHING to fight it.
Fr check this at the door now. Radical feminism is inherently racist, sexist, transphobic, intersexist, classist, monosexist, and white supremacist and it will NOT save us. I don't care if the person selling you on it is trans or queer or a person of color, radical feminisim is never truly inclusive and WILL NOT SAVE US. Gender and bio essentialism are the tools of the enemy, we do not need them. Abandon them now and purge them from your theory, community, and self.
Solidarity will save us. Radical feminism will only divide and destroy.

Ok so this is the biggest blog I have so I will be talking about it here, also comics have always been inherently political so it makes sense to talk about here, this will be posted to the rest of my blogs as well
I’m going to tag this with tw’s, if you don’t want to see more shit about the election I get it believe me I do, that’s fine. If you do stay around I’m going to be incredibly blunt about this shit
1. Do not fucking kill yourself. The amount of queer and especially young people I have seen saying that they are going to is astronomical, these people are not worth loosing your life. If you need help, get help, talk to someone, at the end of this post I’ll add numbers/websites
2. If you are disabled like me, and you need something medically whether that be vaccines, surgeries, procedures, mobility aids, medications, or even certain information; get them now while you can. The medical system in America is a bitch to deal with and even harder to get into, most of my appointments take at least three months, but if you can get in and get things done before they switch who’s in office, get it done now.
3. If you are trans and planning to get gender affirming surgery or healthcare in the next few months same goes for you, get the surgeries while you still can and get on meds now, if you get on them now it’s going to be easier to keep the prescription for as long as you can.
4. If you’re a woman or afab, get birth control while you can. Because they are going to get rid of birth control at this point, they’ve already gone after abortions and this is the next step.
5. But queer/feminist/punk media and books while you still can, because yes they can and will ban books they already do it in schools
6. Honestly I would even go so far as to say start buying physical copies of certain bands if you can, because most hardcore and just regular punk bands will probably be less accessible
7. Honestly probably just get a vpn at this point, I know you’ve gotten an ad for one from a YouTuber before, look into the company’s, find one you can afford and like
8. If non-Americans or even just some Americans who are republicans (which if you are fuck off.) think this is an over-exaggeration it’s really not.
America is the only first world country without universal healthcare, most people in this country either die waiting for a doctor, die because of a doctor (medical negligence and malpractice are leading causes of death in America, over a quarter of a million people die a year because of it.), public transit is non-existent, disabled people have been fighting for our rights for decades, women lost the right to control their own bodies after having that right for less then a life span. Many woman were there when roe v wade passed and still alive when it was overturned. Because it all happened in the span of 50 years. The amount of violence in our police departments (that are only getting more and more funding), the lack of education and lack of historically accurate information taught in public schools, the literal fucking constant brainwashing campaigns.
This is all coming from someone who is Afab, a Minor, living in the south, mentally and physically disabled, a lesbian, and trans. Believe me I understand how fucking scared people are.
It is 2024 almost 2025, not 1970. You have access to information and you are entitled to being informed, so inform yourself. Check your own sources, do your own research.
I’m well aware that this all seems fucking dystopian, I know that it seems like there’s no point, but keep yourself safe. If you need a break from seeing all this filter your tags, go outside for a while, get off the internet, play with your pets, talk to friends. Just don’t let yourself sit in this and worry yourself to death, it’s not going to help anyone.
Numbers you can call: 1-866-488-7386 (Trevor project), If you go to their website you can also text if talking isn’t safe, 988 (suicide and crisis line),

Pls write about y/n x Damon… with lots of fluff and smut and maybe even ft. daddy kink

————————————————————————
Damon Salvatore headcanon
info: damon x reader(female)
warnings: mentions of alcohol usage, mentions of blood, eventual smut
————————————————————————
You were cousin to Elena Gilbert, Jenna was your mum.
You met Damon when you decided to quit collage and started working online. You did it because you wanted to help your mum with Elena and Jeremy. Death of her sister was hard on her, and you wanted to be there to support her.
At first you didn’t like him, he appared as a giant asshole and a man whore.
Just so you know, he didn’t liked you either at the beggining, he tought you are just another stupid human he can use for his own pleases.
Another reason why he didn’t like you was because Stefan liked you, and how he loves to make his brother life so misarable.
You remember when you saw him with Caroline for the first time, you didn’t know if u were more confused or jealous.
It’s not like you liked him or smth, but why Caroline and not you?
Oh boy, if u only knew what he did to her.
The dinner night at the Gilbert’s house was the first time u started warming up to him. He told you about Katherine( not full story obviously) and how they both lost her. You felt pity, but also u knew how he felt.
It’s not like you became besties after that, but you indeed started talking, and things were going pretty well. But everything must come to an end.
You remember this night to well, the night when u found out.
This was Stefan’s bday u went to grill to wish him happy bday and spent some time with him and your cousin. You met Lexi who seemed nice, she looked like she knew a lot.
Than the next thing u remember is Damon killing her.
You were so lost in what happend.
Stefan tried compelling you to forget, but for some reason his compulsion didn’t work, so he and Elena tried explaining it all to you
You couldn’t believe what you were hearing so u decided to leave town for few days.
You remember being in a nightclub in Atlanta when you got a phonecall from unknown caller.
Turns out the caller wasn’t unknown, and it was Damon calling you. He was clearly tipsy or out of his mind, but he told you he wanted you, that you make him go crazy and that he didn’t feel that way since Katherine.
You were so confused.
Just few weeks ago you saw him kill someone, and now you were considering coming back for him.
You were telling yourself that it was obviously your family that you came back for, but deep down you knew the truth.
Especially, when first thing you saw was him kissing your cousin, or so you tought your cousin.
He was so desspered to explain to you that the mistake but you weren’t having it.
„It’s not like we ever liked each other Damon, right?” Because you two never were even friends right? And who believes in love from first sight.
You felt way worse tho when you found out it was indeed Katherine, you knew that he woudl try to win her back. And that it’s too late now.
Till the day Katherine lives you will always be second choice.
What made u change your mind was the night that Katherine payed you a little visit. You were suppossed to be scared of her, but you were a brave one, and she liked it a lot.
She told you about how Damon just rejected her, and that she had to know the person who was behind it, so here you were.
For some people this might seem weird, but u liked her. She looked like a strong woman and were a feminist. You listened to her story about why she left them, and in some twisted way you understood her.
But this wasn't the point behind your talk, the point was that Damon did really liked you, and you had to do something about it.
You drove to Salvatore house and hoped that you will be meet with similiar face that you were looking for.
And you did.
Damon being Damon ofc couldn't just admit to all of that, so he said that he don't remember what he said and even if he did it wouldn't matter. But you knew better and it was no time for being a coward so you went for it.
You kissed him.
He responded automaticlly, by kissing you back, and you both knew what you wanted. He speeded you up to his bedroom.
You weren't very sure of it, u met him just few months ago and now this was happening. You didn't even knew him well, most of the time u spent togather was because Elena and Stefan was with you.
But it was no time for thinking, you two spend the night togather, and you sure as hell did not regret it.
Neither of you knew what was coming soon, but it didn't matter, because for now it was like there was only you two in whole universe. And you weren't complaining

Only villains are allowed to be complex in Netflix's Avatar: The Last Airbender
I had a major issue with the treatment of the original gaang in natla and I think it has to do with character flaws. As in, they don't have any.
In the case of Aang, other characters keep telling him that he can't ignore his responsibilities but when do we ever see him actually do this? When does he seek out distractions to avoid his duties, like penguin sledding, or riding elephant koi, or hiding in a cave? Hell, the reason he gets trapped in the iceberg is changed. In natla he was only going out on a short flight with Appa and gets caught in a storm. In the original he ran away, and it's understandable because he felt alone and out of control of his life. But it is still a choice he makes, to run away from his responsibilities, and he has to deal with the consequences.
In natla there is no choice to run away, it's fully an accident and it takes away his agency as a character. So when Bumi starts blaming him for the war it really rings hollow because it was all an accident. It has more weight when a random fisherman blames him in atla because at least in that version he did make a choice to runaway. Obviously he had no way of knowing what would happen and he never intended to abandon the world to genocide and war. But that's the thing about life, you never know the full consequences of your decisions, and you just have to deal with them when they happen. The war is not Aang's fault, but he did make a bad decision, and it had far reaching consequences. It made Aang's character more relatable and gave him a starting place from which he could grow as a character. He had to learn how to accept responsibility for his actions without blaming himself for the actions of other (i.e. Sozin starting the war).
I feel like in the case of Katara, they stripped her passion and anger. They explored Katara's PTSD but they take away how angry it made her. Anger is a totally normal response to trauma. While letting yourself be consumed by anger is obviously bad, anger can also be channeled into passion and energy to enact positive change. This was a big part of Katara's character in atla, learning how to control her righteous indignation and use it to fight for the rights of other. She has none of that anger here, so there is no character growth and no emotional connection to the character through that arc.
This especially falls flat in her 'feminist arc.' She fights with Pakku but there is no anger, no fire in her. In atla at the end of the fight, even though she was pinned down and had clearly lost, she was still going. She was almost feral. Even though she was worn out, her passion of fighting for what is right still fueled her. She would not give up. So I guess it's fitting natla's unpassionate Katara just falls down at the end of the fight. And they cut out the whole importance of the necklace, which serves as Pakku's realization on how his sexism has negatively impacted his own life. It's this realization that motivates him to reevaluate his beliefs and agree to train Katara. Which needs to happen because having a master's tutelage is what allows her to become a master herself. Alta makes it clear that she excels because of her hard work and determination along with guidance from a mentor. There's none of this in natla. They just start calling Katara a master because 'girlpower' I guess? They certainly don't show how she became so talented. But natla Katara doesn't need help from other people to grow. She's already a master. She's already perfect.
Sokka is also stripped of his flaws as well. Obviously we know he is not sexist in natla. I don't think this is inherently a bad change, but you have to understand how the sexism impacted his character in atla and adjust accordingly. In atla, Sokka's sexism is really the origin of his all his insecurities. He believes there are roles for men and roles for women. Protecting the tribe is a man's job. So when the men go off to fight in the war, he believes he must carry the burden of protecting the tribe as the oldest male. He sets himself up for failure because he places impossible standards on himself. He cannot protect and lead the tribe all by himself, especially not when he is a young child. This leads to him feeling inadequate because he cannot measure up to his own impossible standards or his idealized version of his father (who was an adult and had the support of his tribesmen).
I could still see a way to still adapt atla without the sexism. (For example Hakoda tells Sokka to look after his younger sister. He takes that to an extreme of being overprotective of the whole tribe. And we are back at him failing to met his own impossible expectations again). But natla doesn't do this. Instead it just throws in a flashback of Hakoda saying that Sokka isn't fit to be a warrior. This kind of defeats the purpose of Sokka's own internal conflict about not measuring up to his own unrealistic expectations. Now it's his father's expectation's he doesn't measure up to. This is not a bad story beat in and of itself. It works well with Zuko. But it's not Sokka's character conflict. In alta Sokka's insecurities, internal expectations, and sexism also cause him to lash out at others sometimes. He's not allowed to act so negatively in atla. So again there is no place for him to grow as a character, as he does not have these flaws.
Honestly it seems like they tired to removal all negative character traits from the main characters, which makes them feel more stiff and allows them no room for growth. I really wanted to like this adaptation. And I do think there are some changes they do really well. But those changes are related to the villains and they just drop the ball so hard with our main characters.

Ok so I’ve been crying all day. But now I’m just mad. We need to organize. Now. Enough bullshit. Call it 4b or whatever else you want. They’re going to be doing mass deportations. Banning abortion and birth control. Checking women to see if they’re pregnant at state boarders. Getting rid of no fault divorce. Maybe even trying to repeal the 19th amendment - women’s right to vote.
Women - all women, but especially Black and Brown women, lesbians, poor women, refugee women, mothers and pregnant women, single women, and any woman who refuses to lay down and become a doormat - are now facing the backlash of decades of advancements in women’s rights. This is men reclaiming what they feel they’ve lost: a guaranteed fuck toy and free maid, mommy, and broodmare like their fathers and grandfathers and every generation of man before them has been entitled to.
This could be the patriarchy’s death rattle - one last desperate grab for power before it all crumbles beneath them. Or it could be the last little bit of rope they needed to secure the noose around our necks, the final nail in the coffin for women. We can’t let it happen. Our foremothers worked too fucking hard to get us to where we are right now.
It was less than a hundred years ago that women couldn’t open bank accounts or have credit cards in our own name. Our grandmothers were trapped in abusive marriages and forced to birth unwanted children. Women who are alive right now lived through that. That’s how much progress we’ve made in such a short time, and that’s how quickly it can be stolen from us.
But women don’t give up. We’ve never given up. Men have tried for millennia upon millennia. Burning us at the stake, using rape as a weapon, forced pregnancies, “comfort” women, child brides, inventing entire religions to oppress us. And we continue to fight. Because we aren’t inherently submissive, passive, fragile little things. We have so much power that THIS is what they need to resort to in order to attempt to control us.
Instead of being sad and depressed and feeling helpless, get angry. Start saving money - cash, not digital. Get your tubes tied. Start working out. Start talking to women in your community. Form female friendships. Read feminist books like Dworkin and have your friends read too. Get a VPN. Learn how to induce a miscarriage at home, safely. Learn how to shoot a gun. I’m dead serious, I fucking hate guns, but if you can get a gun safely, get one and take some classes. I have an M&P380 and recommend it. If you’re not comfortable with a gun, get a knife. Take self defense classes. And again, organize. Offline. Our foremothers didn’t need the internet in order to create entire underground abortion care systems. They did it in person, word of mouth.
Most importantly, don’t interact with men. Stop fucking them. Stop dating them. Stop marrying them. Stop birthing their children. I don’t care how badly you want a fucking boyfriend - buy a vibrator and get your emotional connection from female friends. Men do not care about you. They will not protect you. They don’t even see you as human. Stop giving yourself to them, it’s humiliating. To be blunt, at this point, it’s the most humiliating, degrading, dehumanizing thing you can do to willingly have sex with someone who sees you as subhuman. You aren’t just humiliating and harming yourself, you’re humiliating and harming all women.
Be careful, be smart. Channel your anger into change.

Hey, I really like your blog and your thoughts, and I want to ask if you maybe have any advice on how to deal with body dysmprphia as a lesbian? Some context: I live in a very homophobic country, so I have no irl or media representation and I'm also a virgin in my mid twenties (I'm very introverted, was suicidal and again the society here is very homophobic, it's not a western country), and I'm gnc/butch (idek if I can call myself that with how my body looks like) and that's where it mostly stems from. All the images of such women I find online are of tall women with strong features, and I'm just the opposite of that; essentially baby-faced, fairly short at 162cm and have the smallest hands an adult woman can have. I quite frankly can't imagine any woman ever finding me attractive or sexy, it feels like all I see online is lesbians laughing at such appearances. I feel so pathetic and ugly, I can't stop comparing myself, especially my height and hands, to just random women on the streets; and they all look like normal women with normal hands and not whatever the fuck I have. The thing is, I can do quite a lot of stuff with my hands but it doesn't help me hate them less for how they look. Not to mention how many women I see online also hate themselves for these same things (I can't count how many times I saw women say they hate being short, and especially other gnc women which just hurts so much) and how it's such a big physical disadvantage. Whenever I see feminists encouraging women to take sports, all I think is "they think I'm weak bc I don't have that body type for sports and I will just fail". I know it's on me... I know it's all stupid. But I genuinely can't stop comparing myself and finding myself always weak and pathetic. And yes I do exercise and go on walks regularly.
Unfortunately I can't financially afford a therapist so that's not an option. Are there any strategies that don't involve looking at pictures of other women? It makes me feel worse even if they look kinda like me. Sorry if this is emotional, I don't want to have it look like I have certain types of women. I don't and I know they have struggles too.
Sorry this took me a while to get to. I wanted to give myself time to think on this response because you deserve that ♥️
I want to say sorry for how much you seem to struggling and how much it’s impacting you. I know this can’t be easy at all. I wish I had a solid answer for all this but sadly I don’t. And some of my suggestions might sound a bit stupid or hypocritical since they are coming from me and I’m not the best at leading by example. But I still want to do my best to try and help you a little with this ♥️
Firstly ! Butch women come in allllll shapes and sizes and they are genuinely all beautiful and handsome in their own way. There is no one standard way of looking butch. I think it’s a very common insecurity a lot of butch women have. My gf struggles with it too. She’s had people call her not butch , she goes through phases of feeling as though she isn’t big enough or strong enough to call herself butch. She gets worried others might recognise her as butch. She’s also super similar to you in height!
Body images issues and insecurities around ones appearance are so hard to deal with , especially when it feels like the world is telling you that you are right. I remember feeling very similar before I had sex (hell I feel that way now still !) or when other people hate features on themselves that I have in common with them. I also understand feeling lost with what others suggest when it comes to sports or lifting weights. I also hate doing those things and try my best to go on walks. I think it’s important to find things that you enjoy, not things that hate and have to force yourself to do, because it can build resentment towards yourself when you don’t end up looking the way you want. I don’t think it makes you weak and pathetic at all to struggle with. Genuinely I don’t. The mind is such a powerful thing , our own anxious thoughts are such powerful things.
I’m sorry that seeing pictures of other women like you doesn’t help - though I will say if that ever changes you are more then welcome to DM me or send another anon (if you are comfortable) with a rough area of where your country is and I can do my best to track down some history and photos to share.
But in the meantime since that’s not an option let’s brainstorm together!
I’ve personally found acceptance therapy a very helpful tool (and you don’t need to see a psychologist for that , there are resources online and if you like or need I can try and link some for you) but I also know it’s a very hard thing to start when you are suicidal. I was VERY resistant to it at first because it felt like I was just being pushed to accept I was ugly and nothing would get better. It isn’t that but it can feel like it when in those headspaces. But I do genuinely believe it’s a good point to start in healing.
Another thought is maybe , for five minutes everyday , you could engage in something that interests you that’s create and positive. I’m normally a massive advocate for being emo when it comes to creative stuff but I think forcing the brain to do and be around positivity is something that can really help. Be it drawing , cooking, crafts , writing etc. Obviously you can do more time but starting with small goals can be good. I think if you start getting your brain out of the fixation on your body and into other things it might help relieve some of the sticky thoughts. Make then less heavy and easier to detangle yourself from.
I know it’s easier said then done and it’s something I’m abysmal at so I know I’ll sound like a hypocrite, but trying to find the good and worthwhile traits about yourself outside of your appearance is also good. Because we aren’t defined by our looks. Our value doesn’t come from our looks. I know it can be hard to see those good things in ourselves sometimes so I’ll start you off: just based on this message I can tell you are emotionally intelligent, tenacious and considerate of others. All absolutely BEAUTIFUL traits ♥️
Also with your comment about what others find attractive online - you are right. Sadly there are a lot of mean spirited people in this world who use the internet as an outlet to put people down. It’s horrible and it’s unfair and I’m so sorry you have been exposed to others doing that and it has affected your self esteem so much. It shouldn’t be that way. I know it might be hard to believe and see, but I can promise you more people in this world are kind then they are mean. You ARE attractive to someone. Our self perceptions also aren’t always the best. I find myself genuinely hideous , but I know someone doesn’t. I know it’s the same for you - someone finds you beautiful, because you are just what they are looking for.
Also I don’t think you are hating on other women and it’s okay to be emotional. These are all big and hard feelings. I’m just proud of you for reaching out , I know it’s never easy. I’m sorry if I wasn’t able to help at all - but keep an eye on the comments! Someone else might have some good advice to help you.
I’m sending you so much love and I hope you have a day that is as wonderful and beautiful as you are ! 🫂♥️

Hello, is it possible to request headcanons for Ares from shuumatsu no valkyrie with a wife reader who is a complete badass(like, every gods admire her bcs she’s super strong and multitalented)?
Thank you for your request! I don't know if you wanted a Human or God, but - because it's ROR, I'm doing it as both. I decided to mix this one with another one [One that askes about breaking up with Ares.] May be a little too OOC, because his personality is being dumb-
You were one of the womans that got lost in history... Or that all your credits were given to a man.
But, don't get me wrong... You were a beast, a master in adaptating and in fighting, but you wasn't a complete warrior... You were way more than just that.
A woman that had to learn from nothing, just some crappy books and some informations...
A woman that needed to marry someone rich, a woman that needed to work [Work, Angelicaaa~]
And you did everything right. They WINNED because of you... You were a symbol for the feminist movement when your history was released to the words - discovered by a historian.
You were a mother, daughter, warrior, friend, teacher...
In greek, those warriors - especially the ones that had connection with gods - were turned into demigods or gods... And that was no different for you. You were called the 'Demigod of Estrategy', since you were very similar to Athena.
And well, out of all the gods - Three of them had their eye on you since the beginning.
Thor, Athena and Ares.
Thor is a bitch in heat when he notices that someone is strong, to be honest, I could see him trying to court you.
Athena was impressed by your abilities, she was quite happy that you were someone so similar to her - But, as a mother, you knew things that she didn't. You were different... But a good different.
And then... Ares.
Okay, let's start out by JUST saying a fact... Ares is a feminist. Yes, yes, not THIS Ares - But since this Ares is pretty blant [Dumb no thoughts], I'm mixing some stuff.
Ares LITERALLY killed Poseidon's son because he force his daughter, he was probably the FIRST god to see that kind of thing as wrong.
Do you think he isn't going to just respect you?? He doesn't care that you are a woman, you are strong, you are intelligent and you know how to take care of yourself... You are what he wanted to fully be.
Expect to have a lot of gifts, and most of them being things that you can use. [Weapons, armors and others]
If Ares know that you have one or more things that you want, you KNOW that you are getting them. He don't care, you are his EVERYTHING!!
He is just so cute with you, omgggg!
Totally the type to just hold your hand and tell you
"You are the most perfect being that was born, in life and in death - If we ever meet it, I want to be by your side forever. I want to be with you even after death."
He quickly answer that gods can actually die before you turns more confused-
Even if Ares is a lil' dummy idiot, he is YOUR dummy idiot.
Always let you take his seat, if you want him to sit on your lap - YOU HAVE THIS MAN LIKE A DOG. Just chilling in your lap while Hermes is having mental breakdown.
Talking about Hermes - Hermes is his lil' bro... And I'm telling you that he JUST CAN'T with you two. He always is holding a laugh when he sees you treating his brother like a dog or baby...
Shut it, Hermes - Or I will do a Sub!Hermes headcanons and I'm going to expose you, you litt-
Ahem... Oh, yeah.
Zeus REALLY have a thing for you, he tried to get into your pants a lot of times... And this old bitch is annoying as shit. You swear, if you see him transforming into a animal one more time - you gonna lose it.
Hera is always with an eye on you, she was hateful towards you even... She almost killed you a lot of times...
But, after you and Ares decided to get together, she became the 'perfect' mother in law. She was quite protective about her son [Some versions say that Hera created Ares alone] and tried everything to make his life good...
So, having someone that respected marriage, was strong, was intelligent and that was 'similar' to her?? Okay, hold on... She loves you now.
Hera sees herself on you, but, you were lucky. She still remember how beautiful and intelligent she 'were', how her life was destroyed because Zeus wanted her.
Relationship with Ares.
Being in a relationship with this dumb idiot would have a lot of highs and downs, one of them being the fact that everyone sees him as a dumb child that doesn't know how to do one thing right. With that in mind, you should worry yourself too much - after all, even tho Ares hates it, he does agree that he is a lil' dummie. He would never give you up, never gonna let you down. He supports and hypes you up every time. He is probably one of the most respectful towards you out of all the gods and would be one of those who wouldn't force himself onto you [Forcing you into a relationship] and he wouldn't mind if you ever break up with him, he would get sad - yes - but if he can still be friends with you, he is happy. In a whole, Ares is a wholesome boyfriend that tries his best with you... Even if his best is... Well, just letting you go.
Espect to have a lot of gifts, praises, kisses... He can sit on your lap or let you sit on his. He doesn't care being the 'babygirl', he just likes whatever you like.
He always tells you anything that he thinks it's important, he still have some secrets - but most of them are just, dumb lil' things that he enjoys or nothing that would affect your relationship.
He doesn't feel jealous - not because he doesn't love you, but because he trusts you... And also bcs he isn't against having open relationships and yada yada - you guys talk with eachother.

🌌 The Bohemians of the 1830s: Rebellion, Reform, and Romance 🌌
In a world choking on industrial smoke and rigid norms, the 1830s Bohemians were a breath of wild air. This wasn’t just a lifestyle—it was a revolution. Artists, poets, and visionaries turned their backs on society’s scripts, carving out a new, untamed world where freedom and passion reigned.
🗣️ Social Reform Movements: The Dreamers Who Took Action
Bohemians weren’t just lost in daydreams; they were fierce. They were abolitionists, feminists, labor rights advocates—fighters who saw the system for what it was and said, not on our watch. While the middle class worshipped at the altar of money and manners, Bohemians embraced a life of art, defiance, and connection. Freedom over wealth. Creativity over conformity. And Bohemian women? They blazed new trails, demanding education, equality, and the right to live and love on their own terms.
🎨 Romanticism: Where Nature and Emotion Collide
In the 1830s, Romanticism hit like a storm, sweeping Bohemians into a world of raw, unfiltered emotion. They turned their backs on cold rationality, trading it for art that felt—for moments in nature where beauty wasn’t just seen, but felt in every cell. Nature became their sanctuary, far from the clamor of factories and city grime. Art and poetry weren’t just words or paint; they were reflections of the untamable, the unpredictable, the deeply alive. 🌲🌌
📜 Literary Experimentation: The Power of Words, the Pull of Mystery
The 1830s were a golden age of literary rebellion. Writers like Dickens and the Brontës dug deep, bringing social issues to light and unearthing the hidden lives of their characters. Gothic aesthetics took hold, wrapping mystery, the supernatural, and a haunting beauty around every word. It was the age of Keats and Byron, of poetry that didn’t just talk about self-discovery but bled it—lines that captured the endless longing, the quiet beauty, the burning questions of existence. For Bohemians, every word was a mirror, a map for their own journeys into the unknown.
🧠 Nietzsche and Kierkegaard: Philosophy That Dared You to
Be
The 1830s sparked a philosophical shift that resonated deeply with the Bohemian spirit. Nietzsche’s ideas called for an unapologetic life. Break the mold, find your will, carve your path. His idea of the “Übermensch” was an invitation to transcend the ordinary, to be bold, to craft yourself and live on your own terms. It’s easy to see why Bohemians, already questioning society’s rules, embraced this call for self-mastery and authenticity.
Then there was Kierkegaard, the philosopher of angst and existential choice. Life, he said, is a journey, and it’s yours—marked by moments of profound choice, defined by what you’re willing to leap into without guarantees. Kierkegaard’s “leap of faith” resonated with Bohemians who were living passionately, searching for meaning outside conventional walls. In a world of logic and rules, he offered a path that was personal, raw, and infinitely true.
🎭 Theatre and Melodrama: A Stage for the People
Bohemian theatre wasn’t just about entertainment; it was about truth. The rise of melodrama meant emotion took center stage, and plays reflected the struggles, dreams, and despair of ordinary people. Every scene was a pulse, a mirror to society’s cracks. Bohemians used theatre to challenge, to provoke, and to stir something real in the hearts of their audiences. It wasn’t just a performance; it was a call to change.
👔 Dandyism: Fashion as Rebellion, Style as Identity
Enter the dandy—a figure of flamboyance, elegance, and absolute individuality. The dandy made fashion art, rejecting toxic masculinity and rigid norms. Every hat, every coat was a statement of freedom, a celebration of self. To live as a dandy was to refuse to be defined, to craft yourself as a work of art, a testament to the Bohemian ideal of living boldly, deeply, and entirely on your own terms.
The Bohemian Legacy: Freedom, Art, and a Life Without Compromise

Wtf you're so lost in your own ignorance you fail to see that sex and gender are two separate things, you are a shame to the community, your hate is disgusting
People like you are the reason i'm afraid to leave my house and risk getting beat up or unalived just for existing
You refuse to acknowledge your own privilege and ignore the fact that you're also in the community
THE REASON YOU HAVE RIGHTS IS BECAUSE OF COUNTLESS TRANS AND QUEER PEOPLE WHO FOUGHT FOR THE RIGHT TO EXIST AND LOVE!!
How can you call yourself a feminist if the only thing you do is spread hate on the internet and fight against the progress that feminism helped build
Feminist is about EQUALITY not hate so before you call yourself a feminist i recommend you do some research on the principles of feminism
Put your glasses on!! Gender doesn't exist, sex does, so obviously they are not the same 💀 Sex still exists without gender, but gender cannot exist without sex to base itself on because it is construct.
Just because I say things you disagree with on Tumblr does not mean I'm your problem. Trans people have an extremely low mortality rate and only 50 were killed in 2022.
I do not have rights as a woman because a male fought for them. I have rights as a woman because other women fought for them. don't credit males for women's achievements.
Feminism is not about equality and never has been. It is about female liberation and destruction of the patriarchy. Males are not included in feminism.

Rewind the Tape — IWTV S1E03 Rewatch
It's time to continue @iwtvfanevents Rewind the Tape with Episode 3. A disclaimer: this is my first time rewatching the show (excluding indirect watch through YouTube reactions), and it's purpose for me to refresh my mind and noticing things. So, I won't dwell on certain theories, but I'll take notes about it for myself. An extra disclaimer: I revoke my feminist card for Antoinette Brown.
Before that, this is my favorite shot of this episode:

• The music during the opening. It's a comedy show lol
• "I put you on this earth. Your purpose is to enjoy yourself." A bar. An extremely red flagging bar.
• "I know you don't believe that." This is entering a headcanon/personal theory zone, but I always suspect Lestat during this era has this "ideal life" he envisions for him and Louis. That vampires should be this or that, vampire family should be this or that etc. And he stubbornly holds to it which leads to him denying himself to be vulnerable and more communicative to Louis and Claudia. I wonder if we'll get some clue on this later. anyway, BACK TO THE MAIN PROGRAMMING
• "I desire *small voice* blood..." He is so cute
• ugh Louis' suit is Excellent. Carol Cutshall i worship you
• "Every one of them is capable of abomination, even the ones worthy of admiration" "Thrust them into circumstance,[...] and you'll see all kinds of depravity" Unfortunately, he is right.
• I, too, want to flirt with my spouse while talking about how to decide which human we'll kill.
• NOT THE CAT LOUIS 😭😭😭😭
• And with that, the theme of the episode is set: the consequence of Louis' eating disorder. Deeper exploration after establishing what he lost and not lost to vampirism in the previous episode.
• Antoinette is from Atlanta.
• "You're ashamed of what we are." Highlighting this for later.
• "Could you not use the word..." Louis 😂
• Louis has business in Clairborne. Google tells me it's dominated by Black population back then and has a lot of shops. (cmiiw ofc)
• "There it is". We're gonna back to this later.
• Not at Louis staring at Lestat staring at Antoinette. With Lestat already knew Morton will leave Louis soon, you know that his bad idea (he'd call it genius actually) of inciting Louis' jealousy and rage through Antoinette flashes in his little brain right there.
• Jolly Morton vs Lestat banter. what a moment 😂
• *Googles* Wolverine Blues was written in 1923.
• Okay, this is paraphrase, but Daniel said, "When you're still too close to it, the abused still loves the abuser. But you flipped it on its head" aka '70s Louis hated and trash talked Lestat, but now he romantisized him. Well, we'll definitely see the answer in S2. But I wonder if this raises a possibility of Louis meeting Lestat after the '70s interview? Or 2022 Louis believes Lestat is dead dead? You know, you could be forgiving after someone dies. Anyway, kind of fast forwarding here, but this and how Louis downplays Lestat's power in E01 and Louis' whole speech in E06 about "are we the sum of our worst moments?" establishes Louis' current POV actually softens Lestat. Beating that "Louis is lying to make Lestat look worse" allegations. (Unfortunately, he really loves that man guys 😞)
• It's so cute of Louis he really knows what page he has to read out loud when Daniel starting to question his story. Like, he's very aware there's accuracy problem to his memories.
• Louis looks so cute when he's happy (and what a good acting there from Jacob)
• I like that light blue vest on Lestat. Why do we only see it once (and with Antoinette on top of that)? 😭
• Lestat and Antoinette's gig is two weeks old by this time.
• "I understand the indulgence. I let it happen" Oh, Louis 😞
• Not at Lestat offering a threesome. And "I like burnished complexion". God, they should have killed this racist fake ass sooner. And woman even opens her dress herself 😭
• The editing during this scene is kinda jumpy though. But again, no male gaze on the naked woman body. I appreciate that.
• The laugh omg. I don't know, maybe i'm kinda sick in the head and could see how crazy Lestat's brain works, so since the beginning, even before knowing the "inappropriate laugh" explanation from the books, I saw it as like him going "are you really saying you're not enough? LOL" but that's still fucking rude from Louis' POV. That's like the closest Louis ever being vulnerable and saying "I love you" to Lestat, but alas. In E01, Louis himself says he doesn't like how his family judges him, and now he gets Lestat laughing at his sincerity, so OF COURSE he will become more closed-off.
• "There. I said this" And as I said, we're back to the beginning of this episode. This whole thing with Antoinette is Lestat's "clap back" to Louis' shame about their vampirism, which he sees as a personal slight to him because he's Louis' maker. He's deliberately doing this in away that it betrays his own words. So, Lestat is not being hypocritical here, he's being, "Look, how silly it is when we go along with your words of sparing them according to the standard that pleases us?" He's trying to make a point. This is not unlike when Lestat uses "my love" on Antoinette after Louis calling him "my love" while presenting him the poisoned blood that would kill him in E07. I mean, they're both so petty to each other, and unfortunately they're literally this Taylor Swift meme:

• And as we know, unfortunately Lestat will keep using Antoinette to push Louis' buttons until Louis is numb enough to feel hurt about it 😞
• "So, I can fuck whoever I want?" And since it's basically about making a point, Lestat of course has never considered a possibility of Louis fucking anyone else. Because he assumes Louis would be mad and drain Antoinette himself soon. He's that genius (sarcasm).
• "sanctioned infidelity" Louis really has a way with bis words 😂
• Ordinance 4118. Segregating Storyville.
• Lestat standing right in front of the stage while Antoinette is performing 🤮. They're so overtly public. Rubbing on something he can't do with Louis as a couple.
• Oh Jacob's acting during the game and talking to the Alderman. He looks hot as well 🧎♀️
• Ngl since I'm not American and I don't know much about American history, I opened Google for these lines.
• God, after the incident with Benny, there's definitely no contact between Louis and his family because he only knows it's the twins' birthday from Jonah.
• "Do you remember the old days?" Oh, Louis is giving that whole montage of their youth for Lestat. Something they don't have together as a couple. They're so nasty to each other woo!
• Oh Lestat takes umbridge because Louis is praising Jonah's uniform, later saying it's Louis' "type"
• I believe here Lestat is honest he stops the thing with Antoinette because he sees his "clap back" doesn't work like it should be. Tries to wave the white flag of surrender to Louis by offering a night out together the next day, but unfortunately Louis chooses to go to his family. Interesting though, 2022 Louis definitely notices Lestat's disappointment at that time, judging from that shot of Lestat freezing there. Again, this goes with my assumption that 2022 Louis tries to understand Lestat better.
• In hindsight, it's interesting Louis himself offers the opening for Daniel to question his recollection by saying the mud on Lestat's boots could come from anywhere, because later he knows for sure Lestat was there in the bayou watching. During my first watch, I thought Daniel catching his error, but maybe Louis deliberately wants Daniel to catch it? Which makes his words in S2 trailer "I want to remember" more sense. He's been prepping Daniel to see through his errors.
• The eye contact with Armand there. So brief, but what a clue. Is he lingering for Jonah's bit or for the testing memory bit?
• That transition to the girls calling him a ghost. So clever.
• Six months of no contact.
• And Lestat claps back to the Jonah thing by bringing those soldiers to their home. Again, he's genius like that.
• "I think Bricks is onto us". Ofc Bricks knows (because like Antoinette says, they talk gossips), but making Lestat notices this from her after weeks of Lestat and Antoinette being so public is interesting. Idk where I'm going with this, but interesting.
• I still really like with how they did Lestat's face during this big showing of power. Kudos for special effects team
• And I watch you drain the dog and eat rats" Yes yes, Lestat did this whole plan to drive Louis to kill in rage but it ends up with him so close to eat properly yet still draining animals. I believe he'd be less mad if Louis drinks from Jonah there. Anyway, first proof of anything Lestat has planned never ends well (except the Come to Me record in E06, but that's not a long game) and yet we have people saying he's like Hannibal 🤷♀️
• Louis really makes him speechless there. Kudos.
• I'm glad to see Lestat supporting Louis here in front of Fenwick and Anderson, and rejects Fenwick's suggestion to make him the face of Louis' business, because I was ready to slap him if he said yes during my first watch.
• And of course Lestat calls it a "hobby" because he never takes Louis' human business seriously and he is unable to understand why his bussiness is important to Louis. The scene where Louis' making the No Whites sign proves it.
• So, Louis' remaining business after this riot in Clairborne is hats and grocery stores. And like Louis says, the money isn't that much. That and the remaining Azalea money (if he saved them, exclusing the amount he's been giving to his family as deputy in charge of their trust) are what funding his life and Claudia during Lestat is away in E06 and their whole trip in Europe in S2. That, if those shops survives the Depression.
• The directing during the killing of Fenwick is so 🤌
• Hanging him at the St. Louis church is too on the nose, Louis, but like Lestat, I really appreciate the style. (I wonder how they got the permit to hang it there. I zoomed this shot a lot back then to identify the church, so I'm pretty sure that's the real church not a replica)
• That zoom in on Louis by the window 🤌
• I went to Google and apparently the Ordinance didn't get time to be applied because it's challanged immediately by a mixed raced Madam, and Storyville ended up being closed due to military pressure. Read here. In the show though, it's applied, so logically it makes the existing racial tension even worse, and there's a big possibility of a race riot to happen with or without Louis' action.
• He really says finding Claudia is a "before you and after you" type of moment 😭
• God, all the things Louis puts on the saving of Claudia. Azalea, Storyville, his people. *spoiler* It's no wonder unable to save Claudia in the end is very traumatic for him.
Summary:
So, we're here in episode 3 aka the essay of all consequences when Louis self-regulates too much. Side effects of his eating disorder we've seen in this episode: "barely energy to hold up a book", lacking libido, easier to become bitey when he is aroused (i mean, it took longer for Claudia in E04 but since she's way younger, she lost herself immediately unlike Louis), healing way later than it should be (a scar that should only take minutes to heal probably takes one good night sleep), unable to control rage hence he's prone to uncontrolled outburst.
If in the last episode, we see how bad Loustat handling a conflict, this time we see their ugly habit of "settling a score" when they're mad with each other instead of communicating like normal people. And when one of them let themselves vulnerable enough to communicate, the other doesn't respond well and instead worsen the other's insecurity (however, we can't blame Louis not noticing Lestat's moment vulnerability because unlike Louis who vocalize his insecurity and gets laughed at, Lestat conceals what he feels and why)
Anyway, can't wait to see this gets even worse 😂😭

I know this has most likely been asked a thousand times, butttttt
Why don't you concider yourself a FULL radical feminist?
Hey feel free to keep asking because I always have new thoughts on it.
Short version: I don’t like to identify with terms of almost any kind. I have a few disagreements with popular radfem ideas regarding religion especially. And my views are constantly changing so I don’t like to pigeonhole (is that the right term?) myself.
First of all, I just don’t like to identify with terms that aren’t immutable. I can’t control being female or a lesbian, I will always and have always been those things. Nobody can say I’m “a fake female” because I just…am one. I personally prefer to identify myself that way. I don’t even fully identify with my nationality if I’m honest lol (my family is always moving we’re like eternal immigrants)
And I’m kind of more of the opinion of feminism as something you do rather than something you are. I DO feminism more than I AM a feminist, you know what I mean? I wouldn’t call myself a crocheter, I’m a person who crochets. (Though I do think some people call themselves crocheters)
And like I don’t want anyone to get the idea that I speak for all feminists or all radical feminists or whatever. Or that they speak for me. I hate when people say, “But JK Rowling said-!” I don’t know her. I have never spoken to her. She doesn’t even know my name. I don’t keep up with her twitter and I’m not interested in starting. I actually never use twitter at all so anything on there is lost to me.
I personally don’t like to align myself with any sort of belief system. You know when people make jokes about “your friend who’s political opinions make no sense”? That person is me. Every view I have is made of reading intensely and interrogating all my thoughts and beliefs so I never align with any belief system 100%. While most of radfem beliefs align with mine (right now at least), I don’t want to ever call myself something that could imply I believe things that I do not. If you want to know my opinion on something, you have to ask me about it, not just assume it based on a label assigned to me.
Anyway here’s what you’re really here for: salacious unpopular opinions (joking, but I do think people are curious about this). I think I have a complicated relationship with some aspects of radical feminism. I support certain religions and I think some radfems don’t entirely…I don’t know…research the religions they discuss. I don’t mean to be rude but I have noticed a lot of misinformation about certain religions in radfem spaces that puts me off. Some of the blanket statements of “all religions are misogynistic” feel like they lack a bit of nuance, to me.
There’s other things too. I do wear makeup and shave once in a blue moon, even though I don’t believe in these things, because sometimes I cave to pressure from my family (and I have health issues that require shaving some spots). These things are in contrast to radfem values so I don’t think it would be accurate for me to call myself a radfem.
I have a very specific ideology I follow and it is the ideology of Me. No one else has the same ideology because I have worked very hard to form it and it is constantly changing. I hold my own beliefs separate from everyone else’s and I am always open to being wrong. So I never identify myself as anything- left or right or radical or liberal or anything. It could always change.
Man I yap too much.

Hi, sorry for the stream of consciousness in your askbox, I just really want to know your take on this a few weeks after the election:
I want to say that I’m a Dworkin feminist and I’m 100% understanding of women’s overall despair and panic right now. I don’t think it’s completely unfounded. Much of the (less mainstream, but still visible) right has taken a brazen, misogynistic worldview that’s concerning to see. Late stage capitalism has really caused a divide between the sexes that’s worrisome, right wing men indulging in “trad” and 50s housewife content that preaches the evils of hormonal birth control and women having investment accounts is insane and scary in our modern political moment. I don’t want to discount that.
That being said, I’m not sure if what that faction of the right wants can feasibly and realistically come to fruition. I don’t think there’s one real way to get rid of the nineteenth amendment right now (people were upset about Roe’s overturn but comparatively that was *still* easier to do, and it took the right fifty fucking years of electoral success to do it), as many are worried about, I think what the right does and does very well is shifting cultural narratives, lexicon, and the Overton window. The issue for them is that women’s success is not stopping, and I don’t see it stopping. We live in a world now that often requires a two-income household for success, and corporations are not going to cut half of their workforce because people like Matt Walsh have found it advantageous for their grifting campaign to call for it. You’ve said it before, and it rings very true: if we’re going to live in a capitalist hellhole, at least have financial freedom and make it work for you.
The right is operating on unfair ground (for us, not them), are able to grift their way into success by having their own specific media networks where their side never has to be held accountable for anything. The other side of that coin is that, if profits are the be-all end-all, in a weird and honestly depressing way, it’s very hard to get institutions that also rely on women’s labor to survive to become compliant and complicit in what the far, less-organized right wants. I think the best idea for women going forward, especially in these next four years, is to not give the right what it wants. Keep living your life, stay politically aware and active, but do not cede any ground to these freaks by openly showing your despair. Do not show it *as* despair. Do not argue your humanity with them, if you’re subjected to that, you’ve already lost. Keep succeeding and prioritizing yourself.
If this doesn’t make sense I’m sorry, it’s just how I’m rationalizing living right now, lmfao. I’m working and pursuing a masters degree at the same time, and I’m not going to let our current administration or weirdo, barely-hiding-their-fetish right-wing men stop me from doing that. I’m not gonna argue with right-wing bots about abortion and contraception. We’re above that and we need to start showing that now more than ever.
Yeah that makes sense and I'm at the point where I'm just prioritizing myself and my loved ones and protecting my peace. No arguing with right-wing (or left-wing) sickos!

(not sure what this even is but @kinntheerapanyakul and @distant-screaming said i should post it, so blame them /j)
first name. last name. patronymic.
first name. last name. father’s name & suffix.
first name. last name. property of father.
you are at your graduation. the head of your faculty is giving a speech on stage. she is thanking your parents for raising you right. she is thanking your grandparents for raising your parents right. she doesn’t say anything about you. your accomplishments don’t exist. it doesn’t matter that your parents ruined you, that you graduated despite them - not because of them. she thanks them. she doesn’t even look at you. you are called on stage to get your diploma. you are called as first name, last name, property of father. never forget this isn’t really your accomplishment. it’s all them.
but how often will you even hear your last name? not a lot. you are in polite conversation. you are addressed as first name, property of father only. this is just how manners work here. you respond the same, you also call them first name, property of father. you size them up for a moment. what is their father like? do they also flinch every time they are addressed? is that also a fake smile?
you are talking about someone older than you. you are lost at impossible crossroads. they won’t hear you - you are talking about them, not with them, after all. but you are still trying to show respect. using their first name would be too familiar. using their last name would be impolite. using their first name and patronymic will feel like feeding someone the poison that you wish everyone else stopped feeding you. you have no other choice. you say it. first name, property of father.
you are at a job interview. “hello”, they say, “are you first name, property of father?” you nod. you are already nervous and you feel like you are being slapped every time they address you. they will say it at least fifteen times during your short conversation. first name, property of father.
you are a teacher. your students are all quite young. they ask for your name. you try to introduce yourself with your first name - you lie that you are trying to be modern, trying to be closer to them. they are uncomfortable. this is impolite. they could never call you that. you sigh. you say it. first name, property of father. they all write it down in their notebooks. they are very careful, writing your father’s name, writing the suffix that makes you his property. you will hear it fifty times a lesson. first name, property of father, what does this word mean in exercise seven? first name, property of father, what is our homework for tomorrow? first name, property of father.
you ask feminists - what do they think about this? surely, they can’t be happy they are walking around as a man’s property. they are glad you asked! before you can let out a sigh of relief, they suggest matronymics. empowering the women. you try it, already knowing what the result will be. first name, property of mother. it’s the same poison. you ask them - well, what about the girls? they don’t understand what you mean. the only problem is being owned by a man, not being owned by your parent. you are the property of your parents, after all. that’s normal. that’s our culture.
you suggest getting rid of them. first name, last name, isn’t that enough? they scoff. they say: you hate our culture, you disrespect our traditions, you are trying to ruin us with dirty western ideas. they say: stop talking, first name, property of father.
first name. last name. property of father.
first name. last name. property of father.
(first name), property of father
sometimes you feel like this is all you'll ever be.
#very tired of how people here treat you like your parents' property literally forever#(not that it is ok at any stage)#and even the language reinforces it#and then every time you talk about it - you are the enemy who hates your culture#and you are an immoral western-ised individualist just because you don't want to feel like you are OWNED by your family#archer's scribbles#archer's unrelated

Dear non 🍑 eater anon.
No one asked. Your tone isn't giving the kindness and love a feminist should have (& do have) for women enjoying themselves when repression is the norm in many societies still. She'll handle her chakras and followers as she sees fit. You go have a wonderful aligned life. She and us will be fine. Thank you & Bye~
Also pookie what sorta crowd attracts when the label is used, wanna know your experience as someone on tumblr with a thriving blog (idk if you'd call your blog women and the feminine oriented, I would) and moots. You know now a days people use the word like they are spitting galiya, so I avoid the topic and also try not to bring up anything that seems feminist-aligned (which is most things around me it seems. Like: Oh, you think men are given leeway for eve-teasing because of the attitude ‘men just be like that’ and reflects a flaw in society? Yah okay feminazi manhating jobstealing alimonytaking whore who doesn't take responsibility!)
AJJAJSJS u tell em!!!!
Yeah I hate how "feminist" has basically become a cuss word in India 😭
On my old blog (it was a kpop tarot blog 😮💨😮💨) I got into several arguments simply bc I said I don't think it's right to ask if an idol's FS is a virgin when they meet 💀🙄 bc it was kinda sexist??? Like not all people in Asia are waiting for marriage and the odds of a kpop idol marrying a virgin who has never been touched is so 🙂🙂 and the anons popped off and said it's bc I'm a "feminist" that I respect a "ran through woman with a high body count" over someone who's "pure" 💀💀💀💀 and lots of other arguments too about random shit 😤😤 simply bc I had mentioned I was a feminist.
Funny thing is, back then I felt like all those anons were definitely Indian 😭😭😭😭from the way they text or reference things 😤😤 and the deep rooted misogyny that Indians, esp Indian women have is 🤮🤮🤮🤮
Everybody's a feminist so long as the woman's making choices that align with their values and principles. The minute a woman does what she wants to do (which is what feminism should be) she's suddenly not worthy of equality or respect 😞
If only we subjected men to the same standards that we subject women too 😮💨😮💨😮💨
Like why do we only encourage and support women who are fighting battles and trying to climb the economic ladder or whatever 😔 where's the harm in a woman having fun 🥹 life is long, not every day is going to be about conventional feminist struggles, because life isn't a struggle??? it's okay to enjoy yourself and it's okay to not feel shame for it 🫶
I don't use the word feminist as much anymore simply because it has kinda lost all meaning to me rn. I went to a veryyy political college where absolutely everybody man and woman called themselves a feminist and yet treated other women horribly for making certain choices that didn't align with them or slut shaming them at the drop of a hat as a comeback rhetoric 🙄🙄🙄
Actions matter more than words. If you can be a respectful, tolerant, kind human being, that's more important that name dropping labels to fit into some woke liberal agenda ESP since identifying as one clearly makes absolutely no difference in how u actually treat women 🤐🤐🤐

soooooooooo right abt coquette being used for regressive femininity im not even familiar w it but it's just kinda really frustrating to see something u found yourself in being used for something almost diametrically opposite to it
EMMM one of my favourite gay people on my phone or however it goes
“—used for something almost diametrically opposite to it”.
that’s what gets me the most. the reclamation of girlhood lost to trauma repackaged into patriarchal bigoted dogma but written in a glitter pen.
i went off longer than i expected, so i went full throttle— oleta’s soapbox moment. tysm for this gift cliff 🫀💞 I will try to use it well :3 @ everyone else if you are not acquainted with nuance or im generalizing (not all xyz) don’t interact with post maybe sit outside without your for 15 minutes. i’m in flare today and can’t deal with people thinking i am attacking a specific group, im targeting them specifically when we’re literally strangers etc etc
just because you put a racially “diverse” [one girl of colour] group of VS models as your header, reblogged *“poc coquettes” are valid and think women are inherently “divine” doesn’t mean your opinion on body hair [a true neutral; as it doesn’t care what you identify as, it just grows (and yes there are exceptions)] and femininity, want for your boyfriend to think for you, holding his finger instead of his hand to make you feel small and demure, constructing every facet of your being down to smell whatever corporations say “is” coquette—doesn’t mean your idea of femininity is extremely regressive, Mary. and it literally does not serve you.
when people speak out about this the response is so sinister and calculated; suddenly these concerned persons are anti-feminist. “let women have fun and feel good”. uhm hey did you know that your pleasure shouldn’t the only indicator in deciding what is “good” or not.
how are you going to tell me that saying **woke trad wife aestheticisms and waiting to see what the influencer it girl of week is wearing before shopping is anti-feminist. it’s like the definition of feminism has become freedom for women to do whatever they want [instead fighting for worldwide liberation and then equity]. feminism is anti-feminist because you told a woman no… smells western selfishness to me. “if it feels good then it can’t be bad”. so it’s feminist to agree with the man who ended eating women he said this to [fictional, chose this example because i think Hayden is a kinda genius and i so thankful work for so many reasons but the discussions and awareness her “silly little story” has shifted the trajectory of many]
this all very by design and social media amplifies it. [I know i draw tiktok through the mud every chance i get but] eras don’t even last 5 years now and that shift can be marked through tiktok’s journey from being musical.ly to what it is now.
musical.ly [branded as fun social media for youth including underage persons] -> oops we had such a bad pedophile problem we gotta overhaul everything -> tiktok [cringe, because it was just musical.ly but called something different and people think people especially kids minding their own business and having fun lipsyncing is cringe, 2018?2019?] -> summer 2019; guys it’s just like vine, are feeling that nostalgia son?(it was not like vine) -> im locked in my house wah wah (people are dying steven) i am so bored and addicted to technology that when i refresh my feeds and there’s no new content i don’t know what to do with myself time to try this new app. did i mention im horny and my porn addiction got worse <3 -> tiktok having to scramble again because of all the new adult content. thus the tiktok is now an app for everyone rebrand -> disguised ads as unsponsored content -> becomes a profitable app -> you can’t say lesbian but you can sure romanticize the nuclear family -> (we are here. i’ll be talking more specifically about regressive femininity especially the kind found in the “coquette”community) femininity is womanhood, it is a specific checklist and if you don’t follow it you’ll never be a lizzy grant waif key west kitten soft girl old money female manipulator (i’ll never get that one, Jesus). shaping your body and presentation to what is deemed desirable and feminine is self care and self care costs money thus hating your natural self is actually bettering it. let the original self die and be just like her [can be anyone, tuned to their likes and opinion on beauty] and don’t forget to preserve your youth [as if aging wasn’t a natural process and something you could stop if you have the money]. older male validation should be your lifeblood, they aren’t like the silly boys at your school, don’t you want fall in love and have a big strong man to protect you that takes advantage of your naïveté to control you but that’s okay because you’re an angel starlet and he has money because he’s older (no he doesn’t he’s in debt Julia like everyone else) <3 but when you hit 26 you might as well be ***milf. be warned hubby gets bored of “milfs” because they’re too harden by the world by then, seen too much, too hard to shape into the little maid sex doll of his dreams so he trolls for ****eighteen years olds again. “if it’s legal :purple_devilface:” etc etc etc ! #coquette
*i’m going to be real with y’all… the use of “poc” [people of colour, person of colour] as a word, not as it’s true form as an acronym has taken years off my life. ‘person/people of colour coquette’ doesn’t make sense. while we’re at it… nblm/w also ruined my life specifically /hyperbolic. e.g nblm reads; ‘non-binary loving male’ when you mean ‘male loving non-binary’. as wlw reads; ‘woman loving women’ also interpreted as women loving women, though such wouldn’t work as smoothly for nblw etc
** i miss when woke actually meant something, aave and ball terminology becoming universal means nothing is sacred
*** the way men in their 60s are dilfs sometimes dilfs all the way to the grave— women who are 27 are milfs… but only three years later they’re hags! oh and men apparently somehow when you reach 30 you’re a certified daddy, unaffected by ageism and your desirability to people who’ve only been adults for less than five years is bass boosted supported by the patriarchy… that sounds familiar doesn’t it? desirability sure has a short shelf life for women and they have to care about it, agonize over it, spend all their money over it but that should be a post in itself *adds to my drafts <3* honestly i do write all the things i said i would i just have ocd and im waiting for a made up arbitrary time to post that is 100% determined by mental illness, perfectionism and subconscious self hate because i totally don’t consciously hate myself anymore because im the sweetest girl in town (haha get it?) and think im martyr gifted from god but i am really into self harming and sabotaging <3 thanks trauma you’ve made my life so interesting ! my brain gets more wrinkly everyday trying to navigate it <33333
****IN MY OPINION people shouldn’t be identified as adults when they are eighteen and nineteen but somebody really wanted to fuck someone’s daughter :/ making me think of another one my ****’s theses; all evil in the world stems from greed. now if society was founded in science not feelings adults would be 25 and older as the frontal cortex develops by then but i can see how that would be an eugenics nightmare as neurodivergent people etc can develop it later though i can’t see this hypothetical society checking everyone’s brain before deeming them an adult because a). you have to wait even longer to legally sexualize them b). it would give everyone a free mandatory health check up but that is also another conversation
#i only reread this once as i said i am in flare. if you want to tell me to kms over this make sure you leave cliff out of it or i’ll kill u#evidence of life#message in a bottle#coquette community#if you don’t take anything from this at least remember to just be yourself others opinions on femininity and desirability don’t matter be u#if you subscribe to this then you are allowing the patriarchy give you a shelf life and you deserve more i love you even if you hate me /srs#agree or disagree what y’all think? even if u want ‘yell’ at me through internet go for it i value every thought bc i am a very curious girl#again thank you so much em the way you nailed it so succinctly ! mwah ! chefs kiss !#anddddd post#:3

🌌 Greetings 🌌
So, hi everyone.
Call me Mirisia. Miry if you want it short. You may also call me Xenychtes (night owl), Philoskordia (fond of garlic), or whatever more epithets I might gain in the future. I came to Tumblr in order to share my writings and paintings with more people. I wish this blog shall be a lovely, cozy museum in which I myself can be free and you guys can enjoy your visits.
Before you scroll further down, I ought to give you a chance to reconsider and step back for the sake of both of us. I have several boundaries which I do not want to be crossed, and you can decide either to respect it or walk out.
I don't pick fights with others, but I don't let them use me as their doormat either. Not to mention in my own place.
I'm here to talk about things I love and enjoy, so let me be. You have every right to like what I hate and hate what I like, and vice versa. I respect your taste and values, so will you mine. If you love something and I say I dislike it, enjoy it by yourself and don't shove it in front of my nose. If you hate something and I say I'm fine with it, rant about it in your own blog instead of screaming at my face.
I'm a feminist and not afraid or ashamed to call myself one. Though I'm not going to talk about this matter frequently in this blog — cause I don't want here to be the extension of the constant battlefield I'm already facing everyday and everywhere — I have some uncompromising standards and boundaries about feminism and misogyny. Which, I do admit, might be too ideal, some people might call them extreme. But women's rights, safety, freedom and independence are values I cannot and will not compromise. Above everything, I am a woman who's surviving each day through various misogynistic bullshits, after all. If we have disagreements in these topics while eventually looking at the same direction, we can accept the differences in our points of view and still be friends. Or else, if me prioritizing women's rights above all somehow makes you unbearably comfortable, you may go find people who have more moderate standards instead of bullying me.
I'm a secularist. Also not afraid or ashamed to admit. I don't have any religion, I don't plan to get any, I don't need any. Unfortunately, all my life I've been surrounded by people who dismissed my decision to live a non-religious life and took it as their lifelong mission to deliver this lost lamb back to their shepherd and savior. Let me be clear, as much as I respect everyone's freedom of religion, you will respect my freedom from religion. I respect whatever religion and spiritual values you have, I understand that to some people their religious belief means very much, and you will respect my laïcité and understand that religion doesn't mean much in my life.
If you're still willing to be my friend despite all these conditions and feel like you can enjoy your visit, then I greet you with open arms. Welcome to my little archive.
I'm a nerdy introvert Asian woman who loves stories, art and music. English is my second language. I read and write, draw and paint, sing and play the piano. I came to Tumblr to share my paintings and fanfictions with more people. I am interested in many things, including but not limited to:
EPIC: The Musical
Greek Mythology in general
Assassin's Creed: Odyssey
Norse Mythology in general
Romance of the Three Kingdoms
These days my main focus is on EPIC, so I think, at least for now, I will talk about EPIC a lot in this blog. I also enjoy AC: Odyssey and the fanfics and fanarts of it. I have an AO3 account in which I post my fics. I enjoy creating original characters and alternative universes, so that's what I do when I write fanfics. I have a collection EPIC AUs which I call Mirisiverse, which is a group of multiverses derived from the same basic background. Currently there are 3 main AUs in Mirisiverse, all of them in progress and only one is posted in AO3 for now:
The Wanderer and the Seer: aka WnS. The primary one. An AU in which Odysseus picks up Cassandra of Troy, the cursed prophet, and she unwillingly joins the Odyssey.
The Trojan Tarry: aka 3T. An AU in which Cassandra of Troy burns the Wooden Horse, thwarts Odysseus's plan, and claims him as her spoil of war.
The House of Wolves: aka HotW. An AU in which Odysseus and Penelope had a daughter instead of a son, Ctimene and Eurylochus had a son, and a game of thrones which the two cousins never wanted occurs.
I also have a plan for a series of AC: Odyssey AU fanfics, the title for the entire series still needs to be decided. Unlike Mirisiverse, all of these fics are in one single universe, some of them in the main storyline and others the side stories. Currently 3 side stories are finished, one main story in hiatus/progress, many others in planning:
Here, beside me: post-ACO, Kassandra and Alexios cope with things they've gone through and talk about the hopeful future.
A tale of Moonlight: a canon fix-it AU, Phoibe survives and thrives.
Agiadaia: A Song of Sun and Moon: an OC insert fic, there was a third wheel in the family, Lysandra of Sparta, whose life was also destroyed on Mount Taygetos that night. She later ran away from her past and built a new life, until the skeins of fate started to tangle up with each other.
Not Today: a side story, what happened to Barnabas and Herodotos while Kassandra was gone?
Well yeah, I do admit my naming sense has been affected by Game of Thrones.
Though most of my fics are currently in hiatus, they are not abandoned, it's just me being a slow creator who needs lots of time to actually materialize things in my head. I'm refining my works over and over before posting the final version (sometimes even after posting the final) trying to make them as good as my humble talents allow. If you guys find my works enjoyable, I'll be happy to know that.
I hope you and I can be good friends.
