young witches. listen to me. listen to me real good. you. do. not. need. to. have. everything ever. use what you have and what works for you. I've been a witch for a LONG time now. Do you have trouble focusing on long drawn out spells? You dont have to do it that way. You can do it in whatever way you feel like works for you. THAT is the key to witchcraft.
Witchcraft can and IS available to every single person. If you have a single white candle and salt? you've got yourself cleansing. or protection. That candle can do whatever the hell you want to use it for.
I am a disabled poor person who has been doing witchcraft for about 12 years now. It does not require money. Your witchcraft does not have to involve anything other than you doing your most to push intent out.
Long drawn out spells have never been easy for someone who is disabled and poor. It is not accessible for people who can not publicly talk about their craft. You never have to talk about ur witchcraft ever if you dont have to.
your herb associations do not have to be the same as others.
witchcraft is literally diy. who cares. My family has had witches through it. I did not learn from them. I learned reading and seeing what worked for me.
ANYONE who says witchcraft can only be done if you have bought absolutely everything "required" is not fucking trustworthy. Poor and disabled people have the right to know they do not have to put themselves in financial, emotional, or physical harm to participate in their craft.
#seen some very weird fucking takes in the past like. 9 years.#mostly rooted in ableism classism and racism.#witchcraft#witchblr#baby witch#witch community#witches of tumblr#witch craft#beginner witch#u also dont have to do anything w/ gods btw.#you dont need a religion to have witchcraft#and you can have witchcraft in any religion#it only applies to religion if you want it to

Practicing with adhd.... (A kinda long commentary on how to work with ADHD in your practice instead of against it)
(disclaimer: I'm making this post as someone who has a struggled with ADHD. In no way am I glorifying mental illness or symptoms of mental illness. This is just something I've dealt with all my life and i know other people have too. I'm just posting my own experience and advice. You do not have to use this at all.)
I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was either 7 or 9 and have been struggling with it ever since, idk why I never grew out of it. Over the years of practicing, I've encountered a lot of practitioners with the same problem as me, only all of their advice was to try to get rid of ADHD has much as possible, well I tried that, I'm still the same. But that's just it, ADHD is apart of me, whether I like it or not. For years, I've always hated my ADHD, I constantly feel stupid, childish, and not responsible, but I am, I just need to work with my ADHD instead of around it. And that my friends is what Im going to teach you all here today, so grab a nice comfort TV show and a fidget bc your ADHD ass WILL READ THIS POST!!!!!!!!
My biggest problem with adhd and witchcraft
honest to the Gods, my biggest problem has got to be that witchcraft isnt dogmatic, you aren't going to get a rule book, there is no duality, you pick what's right from wrong, you make your practice your own. I had such a hard time figuring that out because I'm a very hands on learner. I grew up in a Christian household, most historical events that I wanted to research I could read in the Bible, or go to a church, or if I wanted to find community to help me figure out where to go well....it's basically all around me. But we don't have that with witchcraft. We only have ourselves (unless you were born into pagan/witchy family then lucky you I guess 😭😭). So obviously the only thing we can do is research.
"but omg chaos,,, I can't research I have executive dysfunction!"
I understand. Executive dysfunction is so weird why do humans have this??? Why was this built into my system??? Anyways, the best advice I can give you for executive dysfunction is that you can either go one of two ways:
1.) while you are laying in bed, cursing yourself to get up and do something. At least do something, but you just can't. That's ok. Dont beat yourself up about it, honestly the more you do that the more you're not going to want to do it. Allow yourself to be like this, allow yourself to just lay there. If you need to give offerings but you just can't get up, say sorry out loud, I always find that this brings me comfort and that my deities will know I'm truly sorry. Then forget about it, now it's time to allow yourself to just be. And then you wait until you find the strength to do it. That's it. Just be.
2.) you're laying in bed and you really need to give offerings to your deities. Get up. Just do it. Immediately once you have the thought in mind don't even think about it just do it. I know this doesn't work 100% of the time but it does for me. So 🤷
"how do I know if my practice is my own or if it's just a hyper-fixation?"
OK OK. I don't know anyone else who has this struggle but I have. When I started out, I was just a bright eyed kid filled with questions about the "unholy". I really started practicing when I was like 13-15. During these times, I didn't know how strong my hyper-fixation was with Greek mythology and religion until I fell out of that fixation. It was very disappointing to see myself gain so much momentum only to come crashing down. One thing that helped me decipher whether my practice was my own or not was simply asking questions to myself about my own beliefs and upg. If I couldn't answer these questions then I knew I wasn't really practicing I was just researching. Without my own experience, my own UPG, my spells weren't working correctly, and my rituals were failing. If there is no emotion behind it for me then the spell is just a bunch of herbs in a bottle.
"I struggle with grounding and meditation, how can I become better at that?"
Firstly, I need people to realize that I don't believe there is one right way to meditate. For me, starting out, I listened to guided meditations which helped me A LOT. Guided meditations I feel like are really slept on but I got a lot of communication done with my deties through this way, I met one of my guides this way bro. Another way you could do is laying down. As long as you are allowing yourself time to get into the meditative state, and if you can't, oh well, don't beat yourself up about, you can always try again.
"I have trouble remembering herb properties, correspondences, and holidays"
Write. Everything. down. Every spell you've ever created, every experience you have with your deties, every tarot card reading. Write it all down. Cross-research everything until something sticks. Give up the idea that grimoires need to look a certain way or give off a certain vibe. Just start writing shit down. In any book.
How I work with ADHD in my practice
Have you guys ever seen those post, I think they were floating around here around like 2019 or 2020?? They we're like "spells to get rid of ADHD" or "spells to get rid of depression" and shit like that. Yeah, I never understood those. I don't understand why we are treating these illnesses/disabilities like they are monsters?? I hate the ideology that all illnesses are bad, because yeah they impose a great risk to our health, but we can always look on the brighter side of things. My ADHD allows me to feel more deeply, because of this I feel connected to the gods always. My ADHD makes me passionate about my Interests in the gods, my ADHD can work with me.
Some ways I work with ADHD in my practice is by making a schedule and sticking to it but a bigger importance to that is recognizing when I need a break. During days that are dedicated to the gods, or holidays, I often times have a big thing planned that might take up a lot of energy. I allow myself breaks with things that aren't witchcraft related at all, then when I'm ready I pick it back up from where I left off.
I honestly think if you are reading this and you're like "yeah maybe I should start working with my ADHD instead of against it....but none of this stuff is hitting for me."
Then I advice you to look at your own symptoms and try to see if you can find any way you can work with yourself. For example, if one of my symptoms was that I was impulsive, one thing I would do is dedicate something impulsive to one of my gods. Like dying my hair, going out of town for the night, getting drunk on a Tuesday afternoon (keep it stable buddy.), who gives a fuck. You are using your symptoms in a way that works with it instead of against it.
In conclusion....
I've had this post in mind for a while I just never had the words for it until now, and I still don't even know if this makes sense😭😭 I just hope to help atleast someone (it's 3 am and I literally decided to write this like....20 minutes ago.) this post was also me bashing on people who think ADHD is "all bad." Anyways, if anyone has any other advice or suggestions on how to work with ADHD, please leave them in the comments! I would love to get as much advice from adhd practitioners as I can! Alright I'm going to sleep now

I’m kinda a new fan had some questions. Are any of the members religious? I saw Gerard say god spoke in his head or something (I hear alot of Christians say this)
Regarding that whole thing does he hallucinate? I don’t mean to be rude I’m just wondering if he’s kinda schizophrenic. I really don’t mean to be rude.
Were they on drugs during the creation of black parade? Did they do drugs during the creative process at all? (Sorry to be weird)
Did Gerard write comics before the band? Was he successful? Did he actually work at CNN? Did he want to join military after 9/11 (I’ve heard him say he wanted to join in a tweet) ? Is there any pic of his art portfolio during college?
Did Mikey go to college?
hi! these arent weird questions. you just want to know what everyone else knows. im gonna answer your questions as best as i can from my own recollection. anyone can add if im wrong or forgot something. disclaimer, of course, there's a lot the public doesnt know so ill just be regurgitating What Is Known, and where you might have gotten these ideas. below the cut ->
"Are any of the members religious?"
the ways grew up catholic. Gerard has talked about his relationship with religion a few times. Most substantially this twitlonger in 2013 (from this tweet). i dont know if we know his Current Status. i feel like he talked about it in this 2019 podcast maybe. he def talks about his and his wife's relationship to "witchcraft" in there. In the second nj 2022 show he referred to bury me in black as a song from back in the "catholic days". whatever that means
frank used to go to catholic school. i think he no longer identifies with catholicism. i dont think we know what ray or mikey practice.
"I saw Gerard say god spoke in his head or something (I hear alot of Christians say this)"
he probably did say that, i just cant remember when. what i do remember is that he often talked about "hearing voices" (2014) and "being touched by god" (2007), particularly relating it to joan of arc.
"Regarding that whole thing does he hallucinate? I don’t mean to be rude I’m just wondering if he’s kinda schizophrenic."
so, he's never talked about any specific mental illnesses. he's only ever talked about symptoms. on purpose! there's this infamous tweet of his, "Labels: my therapist and I don't use them. I am chemically imbalanced, so I take medication to help with that. In fact-" "I don't use labels for anything. Using labels only gives others the leverage needed to categorize you or use you as a political tool." (2016 1, 2)
he talked about depression & mania. he's talked about "hearing voices" around the break up period, 2013-15. some attribute the paramour mansion hauntings to mental illness. it's vague
"Were they on drugs during the creation of black parade? Did they do drugs during the creative process at all?"
frank and gerard talked about doing drugs during the recording of three cheers in 2003 (2011, good discussion "After our grandmother died..." on). gerard went sober second half of 2004 and the band has talked about being sober around him in support. so i dont think they did any drugs while making black parade (which was when they were touring 2005 & in 2006). i think they've even said they smoked a lot of cigs because they couldnt do drugs.
frank has talked about his drug dependence during the black parade tour 2007-08 ish. mikey went sober around the break up. i dont think ray did drugs (in the last source, ray said, "I had no idea any of that stuff [drug use] was going on [in 2003]. I was so naïve.")
drinking & weed & cigs not withstanding
"Did Gerard write comics before the band? Was he successful?"
afaik gerard only worked on three published comics before umbrella academy in 2007.
1993 (age 16): "On Raven's Wings" (writer, 2 issues)
1998 (21): DC's "The Big Book of the Weird Wild West" (pencils & inks, page in 1 issue)
2000 (23): "Foot Soldiers" (writer, back up story in 1 issue)
"Did he actually work at CNN?"
he interred for CN (cartoon network) & pitched a cartoon to them that wasnt accepted.
"Did he want to join military after 9/11 (I’ve heard him say he wanted to join in a tweet)?
just the one time, he talked about considering joining the military at 23, which wouldve been 2000 (2014). he never talked about joining the army after 9/11
"Is there any pic of his art portfolio during college?"
i dont think there's photos of his portfolio anywhere. but there are photos of his college artwork. collected here and here.
"Did Mikey go to college?"
he did for a short bit! dropped out. only gerard & ray have degrees. i dont have any sources for the following info so im just going to give you want i remember. I THINK: mikey went to college to meet people to get in a band, met frank there, dropped out before mcr started, and worked for eyeball records.

okay I don’t love ranting about Christians on this page because I try to keep this space free of religious shenanigans but I need to rant about this because it’s actually SO irritating. This is coming steaming hot right off the top of the dome so excuse my grammar and all caps.
Lately my instagram page (thrashkink_art check me out I’m awesome) has been getting a lot of attention from Christians for some reason, and I’ve been getting dmd by people wanting desperately to debate and/ or convert me. They all come at me with the assumption that I’m either an extreme atheist that’s just super mad at God or a complete dumbass that’s simply never read the first few pages of Genesis. I must either be angry or stupid. There’s no way I could have read the Bible and known the story of Jesus without subscribing to it. Anyone who isn’t Christian must not know the story! “Have you heard about JESUS? DID YOU 🫵 KNOW He died for your sins? 😃” Whatever
The thing that is so frustrating is that, EVERY SINGLE TIME I share some information with them about the Bible or religion that they didn’t know, they immediately BLOCK ME. EVERY TIME. And it’s like??? If you want to have a debate and go bar for bar then I’ll humor you. Hey, who knows! Maybe I’ll even learn something new and convert! I’m always open to new information! I love learning about religion! But apparently it doesn’t go both ways because the second I present information they can’t grapple with, they IMMEDIATELY BLOCK ME. AAAAAA
Some Christian dude: If you read the Bible you’d know that doing witchcraft will land you in Hell!
Me: well if we’re really going based off of the Bible, the entire concept of Hell doesn’t originate in the Isrealite religion. Actually, there’s no mention of a Hell in the OT at all, Hell is a Greek concept and so is Lucifer.
Christian: What? No?? That can’t be true it completely distorts my worldview
Me: You… don’t have to believe me just look into it yourself
*You can no longer message this person*
LIKE WTF.
Some Christian dude: Women are just naturally subordinate to men, if they weren’t then we would have worshipped a female Goddess alongside YHWH.
Me: Well… They did. The Israelites worshiped Asherah alongside YHWH before her worship was abolished
Christian: This is blasphemy *you can no longer message this person*
RRRRRRRRAAAAAAAA. I have countless examples like this! A dude called me evil because I told him Jesus was Jewish. I’ve been called a degenerate for explaining how YHWH originated in Canaan. Im so tired of ignorant Christians shitting my pants because they’re too lazy to do any research on tHEIR OWN RELIGION!! IF YOU NEED TO HAVE AN EXISTENTIAL CRISIS BECAUSE YOU JUSG LEARNED ABOUT THE HISTOY OF YOUR RELIGION THEN THATS ON YOU BITCH! DONT GET MAD AT ME BC YOUVE BEEN FED A LIE !!!!!! THATS NOT MY PROBLEM !!!!!!!!!!
There have been so many times when I’ve taken the time to go through all this bullshit with people because I really don’t want to be close minded. But holy shit it’s like they’re allergic to conflicting information. They immediately accuse me of trying to push blasphemy onto them. and when i’m like hey dude don’t take my word for it, please I encourage you to do your own research, they’re immediately so offended and appalled. How dare I tell them something about the Bible that they didn’t know.
Listen bro, I’m fully supportive of your Christianity, live your life, worship your God, I honestly do not care. But if you’re going to try to convert me at least be somewhat prepared for an actual discussion. Don’t block me because you can’t handle the reality of the situation mother fucker.
LIKE LISTEN IM USUALLY NOT SO PRESSED AB SHIT LIKE THIS BUT THE THING THAT DRIVES ME UP THE WALL IS THAT I USUALLY TRY TO IGNORE THESE PEOPLE BUT THEN THEYRE ALL LIKE “Aha! 😌 You don’t want to hear me out because you know I’m right! You’re afraid of the truth!” SO THEN IM LIKE
*SIGGGGGHHHHHHH*
OKAY! Let’s go! Let’s hear it! We can debate because you’re so desperate to change my mind! ILL WASTE THREE HOURS OF MY LIFE GOING THROGH THIS SHIT WITH YOU SO YOU CAN JUST CALL ME A BLASPHEMOUS WHORE AND BLOCK ME. I LOVE WASTING MY TIME I LOVE GOING IN CIRCLES I LOVE POINTLESS DISCUSSIONS I LIVE FOR THEM
DO NOT!!! DM ME IF YOURE A CHRISTIAN !!!!YOU WILL NOT COME OUT THE SAME AFTER HEARING THE THOUGHTS FROM MY EXPANSIVE SEXY SLUTTY BRAIN YOU WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!!!!
RRRRRAAAAAAAAA
ok. I’m better now. Merry Venus Day! Ave Lucifer! 🔱 💀

Morals and Ethics
Hello Friends!! to preface: This post is not here to police anyone on what is the 'correct' way to practice. My aim on this post is to be culturally and magically informed, so this isnt going to be a take down of any belief or path line. Instead this post is offered up as a way to not only build your own moral frame work, but get you thinking about where you stand magically and enhance how you practice! Our moral frameworks are all unique, something that would be a faux pas in your practice might be something thats culturally common in others, so lets throw on our thinking caps and get started!
What is building an ethical and moral framework?
Building an ethical background in witchcraft involves establishing a set of principles, values, and guidelines that guide your magical and spiritual practices! In essence It helps ensure that your actions align with your moral compass (Wherever it may lie). This background can help you make informed decisions, cultivate energy, and maintain a respectful and balanced relationship with both you and your magic.
Some religions and paths have their own moral and ethical framework, for example lyma is this idea of "something to be washed away" and is a big deal when practicing within Hellenic Spaces! It would be immoral to approach an altar without washing your hands if they were dirty, but on the flip side some cultures actively encourage dirty hands like people who worship earth within their gardens. Depending on your path you might have a specific framework.
Another aspect is moral frameworks change and that is ok!! Its important we aren't stagnate and its ok to change your mind and feel like you want to change things up. That is totally reasonable and people do it all the time like with politics, religious affiliations, jobs, and more! Ethical and Moral compasses can change just like we do.
How to build an ethical framework
Self-Reflection: Start by exploring your own values, beliefs, and moral code. Reflect on what is important to you, what you stand for, and how these values relate to your magical practices. Also now would be the time to decolonize your beliefs and explore your biases. Its ok to acknowledge your bias, as long as you are working through it. If you dont know what decolonizing your beliefs is I left a helpful video above, just click 'decolonize your beliefs'
Research and Study: Deep dive into different ethical systems and philosophies. Familiarize yourself with various witchcraft traditions, such as New age spirituality, Pagan magical systems, and country/area specific + their associated ethical guidelines. Read books and articles about ethics in witchcraft whether you agree or disagree. During this time you are simply collecting as many perspectives as possible and comparing them to how you feel, don't feel pressured to follow something if you don't feel it applies to you.
Connect with a Mentor or Community: If possible, seek guidance from an experienced witch or spiritual space who can share their ethical insights and offer advice on building your own ethical framework. The best part is, different spaces will produce their own ethical codes of conduct. For example some spaces don't allow love spell discussion for example, which is an ethical guideline.
Create Your Own Code: Based on your self-reflection, research, and guidance, create your own personal code of ethics. This code should reflect your values and guide your magical practices. It might include principles like harm none, respect nature, work for the greater good, or take no shit. Wherever you feel you sit, walk with it. Whatever comes natural to you explore it. Write down what you believe as a symbol, but do so in pencil so you can change it as needed!
Regularly Reevaluate: As you gain experience and your understanding of ethics evolves, revisit and update your ethical code. It's important to grow as your spiritual journey progresses like I mentioned above. You are not a static person, allow yourself to experience your moral compass and how to bends. Allow yourself to be fluid and honest. Not everyone is 'love and light' or 'fuck authority' your allowed to be who you need to be!
Different Types of Ethics in Witchcraft:
Note: This is not every type of ethics, but rather a couple examples of the ethics you may see in your research and which group it belongs too. This area is not meant to endorse or critique an ethical guideline but instead showcase the many that do exist.
The Wiccan Rede: "An it harm none, do what ye will." This is a central ethical guideline in Wicca, emphasizing the avoidance of harm to others as a core principle. Another one is The Threefold Law, this law suggests that the energy you send out, whether positive or negative, will return to you threefold (three times what you sent out). This encourages practitioners to be mindful of their actions.
Green Witch Ethics: Green witches emphasize their connection to nature and the importance of nurturing and protecting the environment. Their ethical background often centers around conservation, sustainability, and working with the Earth's energies respectfully.
Personal Responsibility: Some witches adhere to a more individualistic code of ethics, focusing on personal responsibility and accountability for their actions.
Balancing Left hand and Right hand: For some, ethical considerations involve finding a balance between Right and Left hand magic, and acknowledging the potential consequences of working with both, one, or neither. The right and left hand path are types of magical systems that involve different attitudes towards magic, the right hand emphasizing healing and selflessness, and the left hand emphasizing individuality and shadow aspects.
Respect for Spirits and Deities: Many witches emphasize the importance of showing respect and gratitude to the spirits, deities, and entities they work with, recognizing their agency and autonomy.
Are there any absolutes that I should be aware of?
Absolutes are ethical things that you do need to make sure you are integrating! These are really important things to note when you are learning, because if you do choose to disregard these you could contribute to some really bad concepts that intrinsically cause harm to real people
Respect - Cultural awareness, avoiding appropriation, and looking out for other people can be important. Its important that you fully evaluate a moral system before indulging in it. For example: In the love spell discussion and lot of cultural practioners voices are left out of the discussion, same with baneful discussions. Its important to listen to many groups of people and take stances that dont turn peoples cultures into a monolith, demonize them, or silence them.
Hate groups and cults - Its important that you check where a belief comes from and see if it matches with any hate groups or cult rhetoric. These groups create really flashy and easy to digest claims to try and push an agenda kind of like a salesmen. Their whole job is to try and push you into their group so they can get money, power, fame, and in some cases carry out atrocities. This corresponds with that decolonization conversation from earlier, because it can help keep you and other witchy friends safe!
Nuance - Its important to keep nuance in the conversation. Don't take extremely black and white stances if you aren't knowledgeable on the subject. I think even advanced practioners need to remember to keep nuance in their opinions and keep an open mind when presented with new information or moral ideals. Keep an open dialogue when you are having conversations, and remember to keep asking yourself why you believe the things you do.
Remember that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to building an ethical background in witchcraft. Your ethical code should be a reflection of your personal beliefs and values. It's essential to be true to yourself and to strive for a harmonious practice that aligns with your own spiritual journey! Enjoy the ride :)

hiii reading your lorecrafts are such a treat and your analysis about the game's worldbuilding is something i would REALLY turn over repeatedly in my head 😗
consider this shhdjska: dont u think religion is quite in an odd place in r1999? imagine hearing about a religious figure turning water into wine, that sounds like an arcanist. quite strange considering that religious bodies and arcanists are at odds
A great question! Religion and magic being at odds is a long pattern throughout history. People were accused of witchcraft, summoning demons, or bringing hardship on others is something people used to be accused, and so on. If magic is done the "right" way (like prayer), it's a blessing or a message from a higher power. Do it the "wrong" way is a curse, a crime, etc. I think this is a pattern in many religions. There are usually rules or guide lines to follow, which is what makes Religion different from spirituality. Gnosis in arcanists seems to reflect ideas of Spirituality more so than a specific religion, but it's also something Arcanists follow while humans can't wrap their heads around. This can create very diffiferent interpretations of religion, which historically speaking, ends in conflict.
Arcanists are also biologically different from humans and have differently wired brains. While most religions seem to value order, balance, and nature, arcanists live outside of these boxes. The embody chaos yet they also have the power to wreak havoc. This is a generalization, but that's exactly why it works in the humans vs. arcanist scenario.
At the end of the day, humans are afraid of what arcanists are capable of. They'll use any reason to persecute them from religion, to stereotyping, and whatever other else. It doesn't need to make sense, it needs to validate their discrimination and make them feel like they're "right".
I'm sure you could write a whole essay on this question! Thanks, for sending it and making my brain brain do something aside from rot🫠

hey how are you ?:) ...i would like ask you about your contact with ares, so... i dont have a proper altar or Cult( yet ,but im planning in a near future dive more into witchcraft )and everytime i try to contact ares like praying in my thoughts he makes me laugh, almost like an older brother annoyng you in a silly way kkkk and you said that he got an serious energy ...so idk ...am i doing something wrong ? Im kinda lost kkk ,i wish you a lovely night/day ♡ 💫
I'm going to be honest I'm no expert 😞
But, if you still want my thoughts on this, I think it's okay, Ares is a nice god, I think that the energy he gives you it's mostly because of what he thinks you may need, he is kind of serious with me but not in a mean way, it's more like a fatherly/brotherly way. Just like people, he'll behave differently depending on who he is with, I'm easily scared and I tend to let people talk badly to me, so what I needed to learn from Ares was to defend myself and think of me instead of others, but I needed him to be more serious to learn that. He is funny and can make you laugh when you need to, so I don't see anything wrong.
There's also the fact that I don't have any abilities to like, see/listen to the gods (and I'm okay with that tbh) so I mostly go for vibes that I feel but I can and have been wrong 😭
Also, I know you didn't ask about the altar but when/if you make it remember that it's okay if it isn't a big thing, it can be just a candle, a candle and something that represents Ares (ex: a statue, a drawing, even a symbol is enough!), and if you're afraid that someone finds it you don't need to have an altar, Ares priority always is going to be you're safety!
I would recommend focusing only in one thing rn (referring to witchcraft and religion) because learning about both can be very tiring.
In conclusion: I think everything about you're relationship with Ares is okay! Just remember to take care of yourself overall 💐 ♡

Do you believe in spells/curses? An abusive distant relative wished that my family becomes miserable and have awful things happen to us and the people we love, since then several of us have been suddenly very ill out of nowhere (cancer, vascular disease, etc.), with little to no risk factor involved, in a matter of months! Even the cat has been losing weight and acting kinda weird (but is otherwise healthy). I usually dont believe in that kind of things but it feels worse than normal bad luck…
Ok tough question.
In 99.9% of cases, I don’t, I don’t think people have that kind of power and for those who go all the way to pay for cursing someone, they usually get scammed by fake shamans.
I think people mostly « curse » themselves when they see synchronicities that don’t exist for example. Simply put, if you believe you are cursed, chances are you will notice things that will confirm your belief. In turn, you will maybe act in a way that will stop you from - for example - recognizing opportunities. It’s a matter of perspective, believing you are cursed will scare you and make you see random events in your life as proof of the curse.
For the remaining 0.1% I do, and there are a few things I can advise you to do. First one is quite simple, it’s to pray every day to the religion you feel the closest to. Call God, your ancestors and guides to you for protection. Be simple about it just ask for a shield against people who would wish harm upon you, all religions have protection prayers, just take the one that feels relevant.
You can also
- Throw away anything the abusive relative gave you and tell your family to do the same. Even if it’s a book or a small object. Don’t burn it (really don’t) just throw it in the trash or give it away, people picking it up won’t be affected. Just get it out your living space.
- Do a big cleaning of your house once a week. Open all the windows and doors and be mindful of what you’re doing. While you’re dusting / vacuuming / moping think you’re purifying your home from any attachment this person may have formed with you / it. Once your cleaning is done, you can light a candle or an incense stick (or spray your favorite perfume) and pray again, to bless your home.
- The same way you affirmed your power over your home, affirm your power about yourself and your life. Be mindful about the fact you’re protected, that nothing negative can touch you or tether itself to you. It can be right before your prayer for example.
Normally after a few days you should feel lighter
Now what I’m going to say might not be pertinent to your case so take what feels right
- Do not try to do anything related to occultism and with that I’ll put witchcraft and animism /polytheism, unless you’re culturally polytheist and know the rituals/prayers you need to do. You’ll find a lot of advise online on how to build an altar in your home or do protection spells : don’t do it.
- Don’t try to get in contact with what may have cursed you (if your abusive relative saw someone to do that) even through a conduit / medium. People may advise you or your relative to do that, do not. Stay respectfully away.
- When you ask for protection do not ask for revenge. Let God decide how to proceed with that person. Don’t use threats either like they do in possession movies, never direct threats at what cursed you like « by the power of Christ I compel you » or something 😅. Keep to only talking to God, and only asking to be protected.
- God will ask nothing in return. If you hear or dream about something asking you to do something (even innocuous) in exchange for its help don’t do it, respectfully decline, keep praying.
Good luck and I’m here if you have follow up questions !
#the real ghostbuster#fyi I don’t mean that non monotheistic religions are bad or anything#it’s just that I don’t know the liturgy so I can’t advise#i don’t know what’s ‘proper’#so I don’t want people to do things they shouldn’t be doing out of#surface level things we can see online or on tv if that makes sense#in some religions you will have some kind of ´exchange’#like do X ritual to get Y result#but same#having been raised catholic i can’t tell you what’s right and what’s weird#so out of caution unless you know what you’re doing don’t do anything like this

REALLY QUICK. I TAKE REQUESTS FOR MOOD BOARDS
---+---+---+---+---+---
New master post because the old one is broken
About me!
Welcome to my blog! My name is Wayward (not irl obviously. Though I wish) Just some basic information *ahem* I'm transmasc, androgenous (masc leaning), omniflux (but mostly mlm). Kinda complicated, yeah, but aren't we all. My pronouns are He/Him (main) Xe/Xir (trialing neos) They/Them (for my more 'who cares about gender' mood). I haven an extensive list here 👉: Pronoun card.
Other random info about me :) I'm an aspiring author (my ao3 here 👈) and self-taught artist.
I have an TMNT AU I'm currently writing/designing. Find that here 👈
I'm also a Punk (in clothing and in ideologies and less so in music. yk just deal with it, it's the spirit that counts)
I'm also a monster fucker -I mean what? Who said that?
My beliefs are centered in Nordic Witchcraft, so no hate or I will bring down the might of Thor on your head. You've been warned. But if you are gonna play nice you can find me here 👈.
I'm quite odd so if that bothers you then don't stick around. I'm never in the mood to fight so don't even try it. Oh also, I'm an undiagnosed neurodivergent (probably autistic) and diagnosed with depression and anxiety. Although I'm pretty good now-a-days.
This blog is mainly for my shit posting, doom scrolling, fandom shenanigans, hyper fixations and it's my main. Everything else I do branches off into its own blog. Kinda like blog children. Bloglins you could even call them. (I'm coining that term. Mine now) My current hyper fixations are TMNT and HTTYD.
I LOVE GETTING ASKS. I have a few ask games I'm happy to do so I'll link them 👈. I usually answer within a day or two so please send them in. They are so much fun and I love interacting with communites . My DM's are also open if you just wanna chat in general or have any questions you want to ask not publically (for reasons).
---+----+----+---+---+---+---+---+---+---+----+---+----+----+----+----+
If you are an alter/non human follow me here
As I'm sure most of you can relate to this I really dont see why I need to say it but it's the internet so you can never be too careful. But I'm really attached to a lot of fictional characters from many franchises and if I ever post about them please be nice. Even if you dont like them or the potential discourse around them. Just be decent ok? They can be found here 👈
Now that I've told you about me there are some ground rules to go over for my corner of the internet.
No harassment, bullying, discourse or anything of that nature belongs here. This is a Peaceful blog alright? I dont want none of that shit 🫵
No terfs, no homophobes, no transphobes, no zoophiles, no pedofiles (you are not MAPS ok, fuck off), no incest shippers, no anti-lgbt of any kind, no bigots, no conservative Christians, no religion haters (there is a balance), or anti-alter humanity of any kind. I think you get the idea but if I get even a hint that any of you people are lurking you will get tossed out like the trash you are. IMMIDEITLEY 🖕
No dark jokes or snides at mental health, it's tough shit and people dont need any more negativity to deal with. I will fucking report you if you ever do anything of the sort on my blog.
And finally no drama or discourse. seriously no one has the time or energy for that esspecially me. Just dont ok? 👎
I have a few personal tags and may add more when need arises but if your looking for something in particular you may find them with these tags

hi! so i was wondering if there's any practices that arent closed, but arent christian and wiccan that exist? cause i heard that wicca is very appropriative and i dont wanna be apart of that lol
Sorry this took me a minute!
Religious-wise? Or spiritual practices?
There’s many, many religious practices that aren’t closed. There’s multiple lists. As long as they aren’t specific to one race/culture/etc and don’t require initiation, you can start practicing them whenever you want.
My rule is typically ‘if they spread their religion to other cultures, they’re probably open.’ Obviously, some religions that require initiation fall into this category and some open religions don’t, but it’s a general idea.
Some forms of paganism that I’m familiar with include Hellenic (Greek), Norse, Slavic, Georgian, Roman, and Sumerian paganism. I also venerate Saints and worship demons.
You don’t need to label your religion and you don’t have to follow established deities. Obviously, it will be easier to worship deities with more information, but you can worship whoever you want (in open religions). I, personally, worship a storm Goddess that I call Lady Storm. I only know one other person who worships her and she isn’t in a pantheon that we are familiar with.
Many religious people may worship elements or aspects of life. I know some people who worship Earth, Death, Rivers, etc.
There are many more spiritual practices. Witchcraft and folk magics are the most known.
Folk magic is a tricky topic. These typically include Catholicism, Christianity, or closed religions. If you want to practice a form of folk magic, look into your lineage or culture. I am not genetically Italian, but my family lived in Italy for many generations and practiced their form of folk magic. For a lot of folk magics, you’ll probably need a mentor.
Witchcraft is open for everyone. There are some forms that, again, are closed or initiatory (Wicca being one of them), but many are open. There are many types of witches. I would recommend searching ‘types of witches’ for a list.
This is from a basically white person’s perspective. For more information about closed practices, I would ask non-white witches. I am not well versed in them and tend to stick to my own lineage and common practices as to not appropriate anything.
Oh, and don’t worship Lilith if you’re not Jewish.
#witchcraft#asks#sorry it’s long#again you should ask a poc for more info on#well#poc cultures#not proofread so this may be jumbled to all hell#definitely ask if you have questions on the forms of paganism i mentioned above!!#love talking about them

Hello! I really like your blog, it’s really fun reading the dream interpretations they’re so insightful!
I had a question; I’m really interested in witchcraft but I don’t know where to start with it or what resources to use, could you tell me how to go about it?
thank you for reading my question!
Hello ! Thank you haha, i put a lot of care into it.
I would recommend you to start with my protection 101 and protection 102 guides which are in my masterlist. The tag #baby witch also have amazing resources and is a great place to start. There used to be an archives discord full with witchcraft books but it sadly closed down, I must have a few books somewhere though if you are looking for a specific one.
In terms of skills, i recommend you to start with grounding, directing your focus and discernment. Intuition as well is a great start. These skills will allow you to cover your bases before trying spell casting, as well as be aware of when other people are giving biased or straight up false information.
There is a lot of misinformation out there so here are a few things to look out for:
Wiccans are overwhelmingly present here. But you dont have to be Wiccan to be a witch. What they call "the rule of three" that all things you give will be given back to you three times, is specifically Wiccan, and you don't need to believe in it if it does not resonate with you. It is not in any way applicable to the entirety of witchcraft.
You can be a witch of any religion, or of no religion at all.
No, we are not "the daughters of the witches you could not born". This is a TERF-y, straight up false sentiment. There is a post somewhere on my blog which explains it further.
Anybody who try to convince you you have to pay to be taught witchcraft, is either scamming or trying to get you in a cult. Please look out for cult red flags in any communities you enter. You also don't need to buy ridiculous amount of stuff, weither it is crystals, objects for your altar etc.
Also, look out for racist, misogynist, antisemitic, transphobic, homophobic rhetorics. Your gender nor sex say nothing about your magic or what you are capable of, not what you should do. Closed practices are closed for a reason, so unless you are genuinely interested in it to the point of being initiated or introduced by it by someone who can, don't try to do them. Some Wiccans practices are closed, hoodoo is closed (to my knowledge), voodoo is a closed religion, jewish witchcraft is (at least) mostly closed (to my knowledge), for example.
Cross check sources, many people have agendas and we are all biased. Check an author background before believing everything they say. There is a "blacklist" somewhere on tumblr where people list authors and their biases/misinfo/agenda, so you can make informed decisions when you read them.
Make sure you are being safe. Either spiritually by using protection, or physical by using fire safety, or making sure the ingredients you use are not going to kill you. Some herbs are not safe for consumption or to be burned. Some crystals are not water safe, or sun safe.
Witchcraft have no rules except for the ones you choose for yourself. You should be free to explore and try new things, but eventually you are going to have to face your own moral compass, and decide what you consider okay in your practice and what you don't. Witchcraft is beautiful and fun, but it is also powerful.
Welcome to witchcraft, and i hope you have fun here !

Welcome to my blog!
🖋️ Hey, my name is Evelyn, but most people call me Evie or Eve. I use all pronouns, but they/she mostly. I’m genderfluid!
🌙 I’m a witch, and this is my blog about that. I’m open to answering most questions about my practice, so don’t be afraid to ask! This is also a side blog btw, so i wont be able to reply to comments. I’ll answer/respond to them by @-ing you in a reblog or separate post if need be.
🐈⬛ I don’t use any labels on my practice that often, meaning i don’t consider myself a “kitchen witch,” “green witch,” “sea witch,” or anything like that, since I don’t specialize in any specific “type” of witchcraft. i think those labels ARE super fun tho and sometimes tag things as them for organization! if i HAD to choose a few to describe my craft atm, id say mostly cosmic, crystal & elemental witch—but i tend to include a little bit of everything
☀️ I don’t follow any specific religion, but my beliefs are sort of along the ideas of pantheism & animism. I also believe that in a way all religions exist to those who believe in them. It’s a bit complicated lmao, but i dont worship any deities or pantheons, so my practice is mostly secular! though, i do closely work with the elements, and appreciate them sort of in the way someone may worship a deity, so anything on deity work/worship (mostly things like “physical offerings”) i sometimes reblog to take inspiration for my own practice with them.
🔮 im not wiccan, i dont celebrate their wheel of the year or those holidays specifically, but i DO celebrate the solstices & equinoxes because my craft is very aligned with nature & the planets and such. so even though i dont follow specific wiccan traditions or anything, i do celebrate sometimes the same time as they do, and rb many posts about the wheel of the year, since i can apply it to my practice & celebrations :)
🌕 this blog is almost entirety on a queue, meaning you might see posts related to things like holidays posted a while after they’re relevant. thats just how things are on my blogs lol
🌑 this blog is kind of like an online grimoire for me in a way? i post about some spells i do and reblog a bunch of stuff about witchcraft!
💛 i have audhd & anxiety so if i convey my thoughts in an odd or off sort of way, that is probably why! its not always purposeful and i apologize if i say something wrong lol, please be understanding & correct me if need be :)
♋️ Please be kind when interacting! I understand if you make a mistake trying to learn, but don’t be hostile on purpose. Respect others practices and beliefs, even if they may not make sense to you <3
#okk uhh i think this is done#introduction to me & my blog!!#i only read this back once so there may be mistakes lol

Its an unfortunate truth that the vast majority of modern witch paths were created and propagated mostly between the 1940s & 60s; mostly by white folk who, in their rebellion against the religious norms of the time, were searching desperately to uncover some ancient pre-christian religion that they could venerate.
On one hand this brought the idea of witchcraft, and more importantly nature worship, back into the common imagination. As a witch I cannot be more thankful for this. On the other hand they also brought alot of misconceptions into the common imagination as well. As a witch these have caused alot of headache and conflict within the community that, honestly, did not need to exist.
new things dont have the authority of old things, and sadly a new god you just brought to life in your attic doesnt have the same appeal as an old ancient diety that you stumbled upon and brought back to life.
thankfully there are nuggets of illumination hidden among the chaff, such as nature worship and religious self empowerment
a concerning amount of witchblr will be like "um actually new years was stolen by europeans from the ancient god scroobus mcdoobus" and then you actually try to research scroobus mcdoobus and it turns out he was invented in the 1940s by a conspiracy theorist who powdered every meal with ketamine and thinks that queer people are reincarnated fish
