"Now you're making me sound bad! Of course best friends are supposed to trust each other but that doesn't mean they can't want to know." Her voice was a little quieter by the end it, indignation wearing off to give way to excitement.  Gripping his hand tightly, she skipped along after him. "But I don't want to wait on my own. Can't I come with you? Ple~ase?!" Blinking, she gave him her best puppy dog eyes. Those always worked on the others.

"I'm glad! Lottie and Fang and Doug are the best friends ever!" She blinked at the sudden ruffling of her hair, leaving it no more messy than it had been to start with, before beaming at the man once more. Lily never was the most intuitive, but she knew that he didn't like it when she was sad or pulled the face that only made him try harder to make her smile again. "Mhmm! Good! I prefer Fang's face this way too!"  "But why?! Doug should come out of his cloak so that he can play better~ Yes, that's what he should do! And he can have a pretty bow like mine." The child was nodding vehemently, thinking up ways in which she could dress up the older Baskervilles.

“And you have to stay friends forever and ever!” She giggled, trying her hardest not to pout at being put down. As much as she wanted to feel like she was big and strong and just as useful as the others, she was still the child she always had been at heart. “I understand! But you shouldn’t look so worried all of the time, your face might stay that way~” With a grin, she reached out to touch his cheeks, as if to hold his smile in place.

Not saying anything to that, she simply gave a cheerful nod. “I will! I promise.” The serious look did not stay on her face for long, only dissipated into another grin. “That doesn’t make sense though, he’s always hiding in his hood!”

I’m sorry…

I’m sorry that this is the only thing I can say right now… I-I had so many things to tell all of you…so many things…

It’s funny, I always worried so much about keeping everybody safe, that I forgot that I needed to be present for that to be possible…I guess I overestimated my own humanity.

I was never good with words, so I hope you’ll know to understand…that this is the only thing I can manage to say right now…I know you’ll think it’s rather pointless…but I didn’t want to go without letting you know that I-

Everything is fading…I think it might be a bit too late for this. Such a shame…

I know you’ll all be alright, but I’ll try to keep an eye on you, just in case…until we meet again…

"And you have to stay friends forever and ever!" She giggled, trying her hardest not to pout at being put down. As much as she wanted to feel like she was big and strong and just as useful as the others, she was still the child she always had been at heart. "I understand! But you shouldn't look so worried all of the time, your face might stay that way~" With a grin, she reached out to touch his cheeks, as if to hold his smile in place. Not saying anything to that, she simply gave a cheerful nod. "I will! I promise." The serious look did not stay on her face for long, only dissipated into another grin. "That doesn't make sense though, he's always hiding in his hood!"

“But she likes to see you, she does!” She nodded vehemently, brow slightly furrowed in thought. “Even if she does pretend not to. I can see that~ I’m always good! Besides Lottie wouldn’t let me get hurt too much.” 

“Nope, i’m fine! Look!” Lily held her hands out in front of her, as if to prove that she was free of scrapes and bruises. “I don’t think Master Glen minds all that much… He just doesn’t like it when we’re noisy~ Do you think he’s so bad at it because he’s so big? He never hides properly.” It always made her a little sad when Doug or Fang wouldn’t go with them on missions. For whatever reason, she always felt safer with them there.

But you never want to play them with me!  //Pats in the most comforting manner she can manage and grabs his hand// "I don't think i've ever had that kind of cake before~"
