1. Valle Incantata - Satoh Masahiko w/ vocals by Nakayama Chinatsu from Belladonna of Sadness

For some reason, I've been thinking of this movie again recently. I saw it about 8 years ago in Paris, in the smallest theater I had ever been in, and the experience has stayed with me ever since. The OST is beautiful, but I especially enjoy this one. I love the haunted feeling of it, the high pitched line at the back, the way the singer's voice scraps at the start and the end, the sinister, deep laugh at the end.

2. Rebel - TVXQ!

I have been a fan of theirs since Keep Your Head Down in 2011 (yes, since it's only the two of them) and I am always happy when they have something new coming out. I really like this one, the throaty voice Yunho takes, Max holding the high notes, the way the rhythm keeps changing along, and that unexpected piano incursion at 1:41. Also the clip looks really cool.

3. fuck you i'm going underground - Grand Commander

4. Thị Mầu - Hòa Minzy x Masew

For some reason, spotify recced me quite a few vietnamese songs recently, and I keep coming back to the last one to date (which apparently started a huge trend on tiktok). I am a sucker for songs that mix traditional and modern music so that's already a great start. I recently (like last week recently) checked the clip which is SO pretty, as well as the lyrics/story which are based on a play often adapted in traditional musical theater how cool is that?

5. Auf Wiedersehen - Mansfield. TYA

The clip is really long (but also really cool) so the song starts at 2:25. I love Mansfield. TYA, I think they are one of my favorite french groups. They do electronic music in a way I especially enjoy, I love their voices, and they have a whole universe that i vibe with. I really like this song, the synth and the battery make my bone vibrate I love it. That xylophone-like percussion is especially delicious.

It really shows the love and care in the making process of that video Venom: love the concept for everyone! and the ideas of "danger" they used!

11. What do you love about this group? Best boys, loveliest boys, most talented!!! I fell in love with them immediately.
