Okay Ninjago hell(affectionate) has dragged me back by my ankles because I had a really sad but cute idea for Pixal and Zane post Merge
Pixal is in a similar situation to Jay meaning that she has amnesia she didn't have amnesia to begin with but due to an accident in which she fell and hit her head when she was journeying back she woke up with absolutely no memory,
Wandering for a bit more before she came across Akitas Village, the woman thought it was weird and that she looked familiar but remember Akita has never met Pixal before, this was only two three years into the post-merge
Akita eventually decides to venture out with word of the Ninjas return when they are home at one point at the monastery she manages to catch Lloyd reunite Etc however she spots a photo taped onto the broom and stops dead in her tracks
Because that's the woman they rescued years ago with no memory Zane almost can't believe it when Akita says I know who that is We rescued her from a forest 5 or 6 years ago now, she had no memory and we do not know why only that she was lost afraid and alone we thought she was one of the merged Realms people.
So they immediately of course go to the Village and there she is but it's soon found out that she will never recall her memories the damage to the memory Center was so great that it's basically like starting from the ground up,
However Zane being Zane and still loving her with everything takes this in stride, choosing to stay in the Village so he can build up their relationship again,
And over time it's just this cute fluffy there's something familiar about you and I'm interested playfulness between them as slowly they fall for each other again,

TIL I learned that there is a shipping wiki, and that it lists ineffable husbands as a “non-binary” ship.
How funny is it to see a picture of two obvious middle-aged men kissing labelled “non-binary”. “No-homo” on both crack and steroids.
#gender identity havers you can pry this ship from my cold dead hands#they are gay and you look ridiculous#I did not sit through a live straight tears reaction from a family member to have you call this not gay#I did not have that family member almost say ‘why can’t they just be normal’ for you to say it isn’t gay#my ramblings

looking at the ships for a fandom is extremely enlightening bc you discover if youre someone who prefers gay yearning between a pair that barely interacts or someone who prefers when it is very obvious the pair is in kahoots with each other

Lαst Kıss ➤ Stan Pines
A/n: been dying to use this song, so here is a quick little fic i wrote on my way to work
Oh, where oh where can my baby be?
The Lord took her away from me
She's gone to heaven, so I got to be good
So I can see my baby when I leave this world
It was prom night, and Stan knew he had to get you home but of but just because he had to drop you off didn't mean he couldn't spend a bit more time with you first, which meant that he needed to drop Ford off at home.
Despite his brother initial protest, he eventually slipped out of the car warning Stan to 'Bring dad's car back in one piece.'
Rolling his eyes, Stan drove off smiling to himself as you rested your head on his chest. "Did ya have fun tonight dollface?"
Biting back a snort you shook her head closing your eyes. "It was nice until you dumped punch on yourself."
We were out on a date in my daddy's car
We hadn't driven very far
There in the road, straight ahead
A car was stalled, the engine was dead
Letting out a hum, Stan let his fingers glide across your neck. He knew you were smiling, he could tell by the tone in your voice.
With how popular you are, yet you still fell for a guy like him and he couldn't have been happier.
Doing his best to take his time, Stan's eyes flicked to a car stalled in the middle of the road. His hand's gripping the wheel tight, he could tell by just how they were trying to start it that the engine was dead.
I couldn't stop, so I swerved to the right
I'll never forget, the sound that night
The screamin' tires, the bustin' glass
The painful scream, that I heard last
Stan knew it was pointless in trying to stop, he knew it would have been a head on collision if he did, so he did the only thing though he could. Hand's gripping the steering wheel, he jerked the car to the right.
The sound would forever be engrained in his memory, the screeching off the tires, smell of burning rubber, the sound of the glass bursting and your scream.
That painful scream he heard last before everything went black.
When I woke up, the rain was pourin' down
There were people standing all around
Something warm flowin' through my eyes
But somehow I found my baby that night
I lifted her head, she looked at me and said
It hurt....everything hurt when he finally opened his eyes. He could barely register the people standing all around the wrecked car. He blinked feeling something warmth trickle down past his eyes.
A painful feeling in his chest as he finally looked at you. Stan could feel tears spring from his eyes as he did his best to hold you. His hand on your cheek as your eyes fluttered open for a moment as you gave him a smile.
"Hold me darling, just a little while"
Lips trembling, Stan lent in as he rested his head against your own, his lips brushing yours softly as he held you as best as he could.
I held her close, I kissed her our last kiss
I found the love, that I knew I had missed
And now she's gone, even though I hold her tight
I lost my love, my life that night
It didn't matter that he could hear the ambulance in the distance. It didn't matter because he could feel your body grow cold, lip against him.
He didn't know how much he held you, how much he begged for you to wake up.
You were gone and you weren't coming back, your funeral really solidified that. Stan stopped talking to anyone after his death, he couldn't look your parents in the eyes know matter how kind they were being to him.
So he did what made sense to him at the time, the only thing that made sense. He joined the United States Marine Corps and soon he was being shipped off to fight in the Vietnam War.
He did his best, he was a good soldier but all it took was one bullet but as he laid dying a smile graced his lips because he was going to see you again.
It was the second funeral Ford had to attend, he just never thought it would have been for his brother. He did his best to not look at the casket. Barley listened as his father loudly exclaimed that is son died a hero, that he'd proudly display the purple heart.
Ford knew he would have to steal that before his father could pawn it.
He wandered off the moment they handled his mother a folded flag and before he knew it he was back at the swing set. Sitting down, his grip tightened around the chain.
"I miss you Stan."
"Ha...you'll be alright sixer."
Tensing, Ford's head snapped to the voice. He felt like he was going insane because standing in front of him was his very dead brother. "Stan."
"I'm happy...don't think to much about it alright"
Then another voice chimed in, one we hadn't heard in years. And then he saw you, still clad in that prom dress. "Stan! Come on we're gonna be late."
"Sorry, gotta go Sixer...can't be late...take care of ma for me and the others."
Ford watched Stan link arms with you and with a blink of an eye you were gone. He didn't know if he was going insane or if he really saw the spirit's of you and his brother but as he sat down on the swing he couldn't help but smile.
Everything was going to be alright.

Ghost girl | prologue
Pairing: Sully family x Albino na'vi!fem (for the moment)
Warning: All the characters are aged up 20’s, disaster, injured, death, neytiri being the mom we all need.
Note:I had this draft written, and it was taking dust. So I'm posting it, so you can read it and tell me what you think. You can see that I haven't paired the reader with any of the characters, and I think it's my first writing that the reader is not human. So I would like to know if you like it, and if so, who would you like to be Y/N's partner?
AVATAR MASTERLIST | Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5(final)
You felt short of breath, the more you ran. A wave of fire was coming towards you. Holding your newborn baby in your arms. Turning to see your village being burned. You had to run, you had to get your baby to safety. The great trees that were once cold, were ablaze with flames. Climbing up a hill, fighting with your feet stuck in the snow. Resting a little, seeing how everyone was gone. The ships of those humans had destroyed everything.
Their ships were moving away, leaving a desert of fire in the snow. You can feel someone touching your chest, bringing you out of your shock. Your baby touches your chest, starting to cry. You hug him tighter, trying to find some consolation. Your family, your people…they were all dead. Two attacks in less than 6 months, just for a piece of land, just for having that damn mineral. Tears welled up in your eyes, you were heartbroken. It was all over…you were alone. You stood for a moment, analyzing the situation. You could still hear the sound of falling trees, the burning snow and the horrible smell of death. You had several wounds on your hands and legs. But they were not as worrying as the open wound on your right thigh.
You had tried to bandage it, before running out of your family's hut, as it burned. But it was barely covered. Groaning in pain, you sit down in the snow. You had to think about what you were going to do, you were alone. You had no home…those demons had taken everything from you. Holding your baby, closer. Kissing his hair. "Easy…easy" you speak. You had to get shelter, and fast. From your chest hung a beautiful green stone that your mother gave you minutes after you lost track of it. She had told you that there was a jungle clan, the Omaticaya. That they could help me, that it was the safest place. Taking the stone in your hand, to now take a look at the opposite side of the landscape.
You were from the clan of the icy mountains, the trip was going to be hard and dangerous. You were not a hunter, or an explorer. You were simply a girl who had lost everything. But you had no choice, rising from the ground. Bowing in respect. "Eywa…take care of my village, my people…take them with you. Promise them that we will meet again. I promise" you make the 'i see you' sign. Taking a last look at what was once your home, and leaving for the unknown.
The jungle was quieter than usual, the wildlife could be heard sounding. That's what neytiri thought as she walked in search of an animal. She had gone out to hunt alone. She had to clear her head, and spend time alone like the old days. Playing and touching some flowers, when out of nowhere he hears a small whimper. Her whole body freezes, raising her ears to listen better. That noise was not coming from an animal. She stayed silent, waiting to hear it again. A few minutes later, she heard the soft whimper again, someone was in danger. She was confused, it could be a human calling for help. Or a wounded na'vi. She didn't want to risk it if it was a human, she only socialized with the humans on the base, far from that nothing. But something told her she had to go see what was going on. Taking a deep breath, she walked slowly to where those whimpers were heard.
Peering carefully through the bushes, her eyes widen. When she sees a na,vi leaning against a tree. But that was not what was impressive, what had caught her attention. It was the color of this woman's skin, you had snow-white skin. Just like your hair, the stripes that adorned your skin were almost a blue that faded into your skin. Neytiri stood watching, she had never seen anything like this in her life. She was in a state of shock, it wasn't until she heard a whimper coming from the girl's arms. Neytiri looked down, seeing how she was holding the baby. But the grip was lazy, watching as the girl tried to move her arm, but it was too weak. Neytiri decided to approach carefully.
Neytiri holds her bow close to her, still being suspicious. Just to get close enough, to make you look up. Neytitiri felt her chest tighten when she could see how young the girl was. According to her she had to be the same age as her children. She let go of her bow, noticing that there was no weapon on any part of your body. But that you were injured, with burns.
You lift your gaze, looking at the woman. She was strange to your eyes, just as she was the first time you had seen a jungle na'vi. Looking down again, you were so exhausted. You had no strength to go on, your thigh wound was serious. And you had barely eaten in two days. You watch as the woman kneels down in front of you. "Who are you?" says neytiri. Trying to sound calm. "I…my name is Y/N te noeä pauzu'itan" you pause to catch your breath. "I am from the clan of the mountains of…cold" you speak, in a low tone. Neytiri moves closer to you, now all had some coherence. Her mother had told her something about these clans.
"What happened…why aren't you in your lands?" neytiri speaks, daring to touch a piece of your hair. Her maternal instinct, not allowing her not to help you. "They…they killed everything…everyone" you speak. "They?" asks neytiri. "The demons" you speak, neytiri hearing this word, tightens her bow. Closing her eyes, in response. Neytiri moves closer, looking at your wounded skin. And notices the large wound on your thigh. "We must heal it…I'll take you to the village" she speaks, watching as you awkwardly raise your arm. "No…I can't" you pick up your baby as best you can. Bringing him closer to neytiri. "Please…take care of my son. I can't" you are on the verge of fainting. "No…I won't leave you here" says Neytiri.
"I will die…I just want him to be okay…take care of him for me" your voice is very low. Neytiri notices how your hands are shaking, taking the baby in her arms. Watching as yours fall to your sides. "Thank you" you speak, smiling weakly. "I'm not going to leave you here" neytiri orders, getting up to think better. She had to plan something…in a matter of minutes neytiri created a sort of bundle, so she could hang the baby on her chest. Coming up to bend his back in front of you, taking your weak arms. Climbing you on her back, holding you tightly. She knew you could barely breathe, how weak you felt. Neytiri knew that if she left you, you would die in a couple of hours.
Starting her way back to the village. She walked as fast as she could, she had a baby crying. While carrying a girl on his back. She could have ignored her, but no…she could not. Getting closer to the village, taking faster steps. "We're close" neytiri says, waving your hand a little, hearing a 'mmm' in response. Good, you were alive. Entering the village, seeing how everyone was shocked by the scene, while neytiri walked fast to the hut where her mo'at mother was working. "Help, mother!!!" neytiri shouts, near the hut. Mo'at comes out quickly. To see how her daughter was carrying, what looked like a dead body. "This one" speaks mo'at.
"No…she's really hurt," says neytiri, watching as her mother begins to help her take the girl in her arms. Mo'at holds you on her arms, rushing to take you inside to treat your wounds. "I found her alone in the forest…she told me that her village was attacked by the sky people" says neytiri, she was scared. She tried to get there as fast as she could. Watching as her mother, began to examine your body. " She is from the clan of the cold mountains," says Mo'at. Mo'at finds the largest wound, and removes the dirty cloth. "I need to clean and treat this wound. I need the help of more people. Tell kiri to come" mo'at orders his daughter. Neytiri runs out of the hut.
She had the little baby on her chest, who had already calmed down, but she could hear some whimpering " calm down, we are taking care of your mother," Neytiri cuddles him, as she arrives to her hut. Kiri was with her sister tuk, talking to her father. They all see how neytiri enters in a hurry, she was agitated and you could see how worried she was. "kiri honey…come!!! Mo'at needs us" says Neytiri, Kiri without thinking about it gets up and accompanies her mother. "baby what's wrong?" shouts jake, from his seat. Noticing how neytiri ignores him and continues on her way to her mother's hut. Upon arriving, neytiri could see how mo'at had already started with everything, placing some medicinal pastes on the girl's skin. Kiri is surprised to see you, she has never seen someone like you before, but she doesn't ask too many questions. She feels her mother handing her something in her arms.
Kiri looks down, and sees a baby. Just like the girl they were healing. "Kiri hold the baby" says neytiri, approaching her mother. "Mom…will she be okay?" asks neytiri, she sees how your breathing is vague. But you are alive. "Yes…she's weak and I have to monitor that wound. But look" mo'at points to the large wound on your thigh. "I already put medicine in it…I need you to go get these herbs. I will make a drink to bring her vitality back" mo'at says, watching as neytiri ascends with her face, getting up to get everything her mother asked for. Mo'at watches as kiri is cooing to the baby, and began to wonder what such a young girl was doing alone with a baby. She could see that the baby was only a month old. Looking carefully at the girl's body, observing how on her neck hangs a green rock. Holding it in her hand, she had seen that rock somewhere.
After a rather agitated afternoon, neytiri was sitting next to her mother. Holding the baby, and kiri was next to the girl. "So what are we going to do with him?" asks Kiri. "I think it will be best if you take care of him…for tonight. She is very weak, I will take care of her" says mo'at, arranging a few pieces of white hair. Neytiri reaches over and caresses the girl's cheek. "Kiri…come let's go to the house" speaks neytiri. Kiri gets up, following her mother. Just as they were about to leave. "Neytiri…later I will come by your hut" says mo'at. Neytiri ascends, and leaves the hut. Looking at the baby in her arms.
Arriving at the hut, she finds to her surprise that everyone in the Sully family was there. Tuk is still small, so she runs to her mother. She hadn't seen her all day, but stops when she notices what her mom is carrying in her arms. "Is that a baby?" the little girl asks. Neytiri smiles, "Yes…and it's very small." neytiri walks over to where jake is. "A baby? where did you get that?" the man is scared and worried. Neytiri sits down next to him, moving the piece of cloth covering the baby a little. Revealing a totally white baby, his eyelashes, hair…everything. This causes everyone in the family to move closer. Including the two youngest men in the family. "That's…what is it?" asks lo'ak. Touching the baby's tiny foot. "I found a girl." Neytiri pauses, telling her family everything that happened. "Those bastards" jake says, the demons were just destroying…he was thinking to himself.
"I'm taking care of him…until she's okay" neytiri says. "but" she pauses…as some tears streamed down her face. "She is so young…I think she is the same age as you" neytiri looks at neteyam. The boy just looks at the baby that his mother holds on her chest. "and she's alone…I couldn't leave her there alone. She offered me her baby…she told me to keep him. Assuming she was going to die." says neytiri. Jake hugs her, and kisses her on the hundred. "You did the right thing my love…you're great. I bet that girl will be grateful" Jake speaks. At that same moment, everyone hears mo'at enter the hut.
"How is she?" asks Neytiri quickly. "She is stable…but she is very sleepy. I was able to give her the drink…she looks better" says mo'at. Kiri puts her hand to her chest, sighing in relief. " Mom…where did that girl come from?" neytiri asks, watching as mo'at sits in the familiar circle.
" The clan of the cold mountains…one of the most ancient clans. Great warriors and hunters. Their white skin, perfect for being invisible in their territory. Prepared to withstand brutal cold. Ghosts in white. They are not like all na'vis. separating in the far reaches of the mountains, to maintain their lineage. They carry a beautiful magic in their being… they are the favorites of eywa." mo'at spoke, watching as everyone listened to her intently. "Your father and I met them… making a pact of peace. They cared for us and we cared for them. But we never had another close call…not until now." Mo'at pulls from his pocket a stone. "This was given as a sign of peace…she had it around her neck. I guess she came for help" there was a silence in the room.
"She told me there was no one left" neytiri holds the baby tightly. Remembering how hundreds of her clan were wiped out, how their home tree was destroyed. And now they had to live in these caves in hiding. "I imagine the worst has happened…but we have to wait for her to tell us everything" mo'at speaks, reaching up to caress the baby's cheek. "Where is her family? Where is her mate?" mo'at asks. Neytiri falls silent, she too had many questions…but for the moment she was going to take care of the two of you. Until she could figure everything out.

anˏˋ°•*⁀➷ ANONNNNN YOU READ MY MIND AND STOLE MY HEART goshhhhh i love asl bros I COULD CRY <3 its a little unedited tho fml :') ((and if its not obvious ace is my BABYYYY)) wcˏˋ°•*⁀➷ 2965 total cwˏˋ°•*⁀➷ jealousy, y/n smacks tf out of ace, y/n is kinda fuckin drunk..., cheesy shit
Portgas D Ace
Fire Fist Ace. Loved by many, loved even more by women on the islands. You decided to join him in sailing, tired of being stuck on that island. Sure, you saw Ace as a brother for a long, long time. But…it was inevitable. You hit puberty and suddenly, it wasn’t some sibling bond. It was nothing but blood, sweat, and tears to fight off the emotions.
I mean… Come on. He was tall and fucking hot. Literally. You lost count of how many times he almost burned you when he was still learning how to control his devil fruit powers. In turn, you poured ice cold water on him as some sort of punishment. He wasn’t happy in the slightest.
Eventually, you two grew into some fine young adults. And I mean fine as hell. Pirates swooned over you left and right until they saw Ace constantly by your side. Despite them catching somewhat of a memo, the fangirls did not.
Women flocked to the ebony-haired beauty with ease, practically dogpiling upon seeing him to get to him. Often enough, it earned him a free round of drinks and food in an attempt to catch his attention. It made your skin crawl constantly.
And while he definitely seemed like a flirt, he couldn’t care less. He did enjoy the food and liquor though. He was just so oblivious to you glaring daggers from the bar.
Little to your knowledge, Ace purposely scared men off by your side, throwing evil glares or quite literally spitting fireballs at them. Like your own personal guard dog.
One night, you’d had one too many and you couldn’t help but get irritated. You paid your tab, not giving Ace and his groupies a second glance as you stormed out. It took the drunken sailor a moment, not thinking it was you storming out at first. But the second he caught a whiff of your sweetened scent, he jumped the table, darting out after you.
Hell, you were already halfway to the ship when he spotted you. Have you ever seen a man run so fast in heavy ass boots?! Fuck no. But his impending steps scared the shit out of you. You drew your katana, spinning around to meet Ace’s neck with the blade.
He could see the fear in your eyes until your brain registered it was him. There was a moment where your gaze softened, but quickly turned sour. It made his heart ache. You never gave him that look.
“Why did you leave? The party wasn’t over!” Ace rasped, still catching his breath as you sheathed the sharp blade.
“Go back, Ace,” you snapped, a slight slur between your words.
“C’mon, Y/N, come back with me,” he pouted, knowing it made you weak. His damned puppy-pleading eyes and lip quiver always had you giving in.
“No,” you snapped, turning on your heel to continue going home.
“What the fuck?” Ace fell into step alongside you, staring in disbelief. “You actually just… Y/N! What did I do?”
“Nothing, Ace! Go party with your fanclub,” you huffed out, running a hand through your grimey hair. Gods, you were beginning to sweat just from anger.
“Wait, fanclub? Those chicks? Is that why you’re so pissy?” His voice had risen, as if he had a right to be upset with you. You just wanted to get out of there.
“Pissy?!” You half-laughed half-scoffed, stopping dead in your tracks.
“Yeah! Pissy! You’re bein’ childish!” He mocked your exasperated tone.
“Oh, because you can talk!” A sarcastic laugh escaped you as you pinched the bridge of your nose.
Ace sucked his teeth, “Don’t be a bitch, Y/N.”
Before you could think about your actions, your palm was stinging and his jaw was slack with shock. Neither of you were exactly coordinated at the moment so it was his jawbone catching most of the impact. His hand carefully cupped the stinging sensation, his jaw moving side to side.
“Fuck,” you whispered, staring at him all doe-eyed. “A-Ace, I’m so sorry. I-I…”
“You really pack a fuckin’ punch,” he chuckled, not meeting your eyes.
“I swear it won’t happen…again…” You watched as he took a deep breath, looking up at the sky.
“Stop bottlin’ shit up. That’s exactly what happens. You fucking blow up,” Ace’s voice held no anger, no malice, nothing. He sounded almost like a parent scolding their child.
“I’m going back to the ship.” You whispered, stepping back.
Ace’s fingers wrapped around your wrist, yanking you into him. Nausea hit as you stumbled into his chest. You couldn’t even warn him before it spewed from your mouth, eyes watering as you choked.
“Ew! Y/N!” Ace whined, quickly jumping back.
“You throw a drunk person–” Another wave hit you, forcing you to vomit on the stone road, “And you expect them not to vomit?”
“You stink,” Ace shuddered, stepping back.
“Obviously,” you sobered up, standing up carefully. There was a bit of vomit in your hair making you cringe. “I need a shower.”
“Shit, now I do too,” he whined again, freaking out that a drop of vomit splattered on his leg.
You rolled your eyes, “Could have one of your maidens clean you up.”
Ace frowned at you, “Come on! I thought ya dropped this whole chick thing!”
“Whatever, Ace,” you walked up the gangway, leaving him on the edge of the docks.
You didn’t hear his heavy boots following behind anymore. It twisted your stomach into knots as you walked through the empty ship, finding your way to the bathroom. Your hands weakly worked the nozzles to turn the water warm, eyes still unfocused from the amount of sake you downed to forget the image of him. Specifically the women flanking his sides, shoving alcohol and food down his throat. Somehow, not their tongues.
Steam fogged the bathroom as you undressed, a little wobbly on your feet. Puking was definitely your least favorite thing to do after a party. The door swung open as you worked the buttons on your shorts, a sharp scream escaping you.
“Tell me what the hell I did,” Ace shut the door behind him, hands on his hips like a sassy woman.
“Ace! Get out!” You covered your breasts immediately.
“Tell me what’s got a stick up your ass!” He wasn’t even focused on your tits. Just the fact that he couldn’t understand why you were genuinely angry at him.
“I’m naked, asshole!” You felt dizzy, heavily embarrassed by his intrusion.
“I have boobs too!” Ace motioned to his muscles, clearly not giving a shit how you were freaking out.
“Those are pecs!? Are you dumb?!” You tried shoving him towards the door, but he wasn’t budging.
“Same shit. Now talk,” his boot tapped impatiently as he pouted.
“Oh, my god! Turn around!” You whined, needing to get in the water while it was still hot.
Ace rolled his eyes, turning around. You shoved the rest of your clothes off, almost eating shit as you hid behind the shower curtain, soaked with water. He glanced back, seeing your shadow against the opaque drape.
“Start explainin’.” He moved to sit on the countertop, leaning back against the wall.
“It’s not a big fuckin’ deal, Ace.” You thoroughly washed your hair, the massage making your eyes roll back. Fuck, how long had it been since you felt this clean?
“It is to me, Y/N. That should mean somethin’ to you.” He muttered. Maybe you were hearing things, but he sounded hurt.
“It just gets on my nerves to see women obsess over you.” You stated, closing your eyes as the water drained the bubbles from your locks.
“Someone’s jealous.” His smirk was evident in his voice.
You stayed silent. It wasn’t easy to lie to him. Nor did you want to confirm his suspicions.
“Y/N?”
Nope. Not doing it.
“Y/N.”
You were planning on staying silent but he yanked open the curtain, half worried that you’d magically died in the shower. He let out a sigh of relief when you shrieked, smacking his hand away to pull the curtain back into place.
“Pervert!”
“Am not!”
“Are too!”
“I thought you dropped dead, idiot!”
“Are you dense?!”
Ace pursed his lips, staring at your eyes. What did he do wrong? Obviously, opening the shower might’ve been was wrong. But the anger. You were so angry with him… It actually hurt his feelings. Poor baby.
“Ace, why are you so stuck on this?”
“I don’t want you to be mad at me.”
And there goes your heart. It ached at his words. If you weren’t soaking wet and bare, you would’ve hugged him. So, you did the next best thing you could think of. You told him the truth.
“You’re an idiot.” You sighed, pinching the bridge of your nose. A habit when you were giving in to whatever he wanted.
“Ouch. Hurtful,” Ace crossed his arms.
“No, not because of that. You’re so fucking blind, Ace. I’m…fuck. I like you! So, yes, I get upset when women are touching you, getting all of your attention. You flirt with them in front of my face. It hurts. You always do that shit.”
Ace’s poor face. His jaw slacked, staring at you. He was stuck on those three words. Was he seriously that drunk..? Was he starting to hallucinate? Had to be. Not…not you, right? How could he be so blind? He was a god at reading women, so, why not you? Right up until this point, he assumed you still saw him as your older brother.
“Earth to Ace?” Your hand waved in front of his face.
“You like me…” He exhaled, not realizing he stopped breathing for a few seconds.
“Yeah, kinda just said that.” You yanked the shower curtain closed to finish up.
“You like me!” Ace yanked it back open.
“Stop that!” You tried fighting his strength without ripping the thin plastic.
“Hell no!” Ace jumped into the shower, almost falling over as he cupped your face. “You fucking like me?! Since when?”
“Sh-ince–” He squished your face too much, making it hard for you to speak clearly. “Ace!”
“Sorry.” He retracted his hands, resting them on his hat.
“Since we were kids, dumbass,” you rubbed your cheeks softly.
“I’m so stupid,” Ace breathed.
“You are,” you went to turn back to your shower, but he was quicker.
The tiles were ice cold against your back. The warmth of his lips made up for it though. He pulled back, looking down at you.
“You taste like vomit.”
“Ace!”
Flame Emperor Sabo
The stars twinkled against the midnight sky. You poor thing, drinking away your feelings. It almost became a monthly ritual. You’d sneak off in the dark with a heavy bottle of sake and sit on the shore’s edge. Water rippled around your toes, leaving icy kisses against your skin.
It wasn’t that you enjoyed being drunk out of your mind. It just took the edge off most times. You actually kind of hated the burn. The flavor wasn’t too great. Flavor… Huh, your mind lingered on wondering what Sabo tasted like. Just one little kiss. Wouldn’t that be something…
This was the first night you finished a whole bottle so you weren’t coherent whatsoever. You didn’t catch the footsteps walking up behind you or his voice softly calling your name. Not until his hand rested on your shoulder did you look over and see him.
His blond curls and black attire made you smile lopsidedly. You thought that you were just starting to see things from your inebriated state. Fuck, how strong was that liquor?
“You look like Sabo,” a giggle escaped you followed by a hiccup.
“I would think so,” he chuckled softly, sitting next to you. “Why are you out here?”
“I don’t know,” you turn your gaze back up to the stars.
“Are you sure about that?” Sabo hummed, gazing up at the sky.
“It’s dumb,” you snort, rubbing your heavy eyes.
“Tell me. I’m a great listener, you know,” he chuckled.
“I just really like him. No…I love him.” You sigh, your eyes growing heavy. You desperately try to fight it off, but it’s getting harder by the second. “But he doesn’t feel the same. So, I drink to force it all out. Or push it down. However it works. It’s a thing now. My thing. I don’t know how you found me.”
“Who?” His voice cracked, his eyes moving to glance at you subtly.
“Sabo.” Now it’s your own voice’s turn to crack. “He’s so sweet, so passionate. He doesn’t have time for a relationship though…”
He stays silent. Did he hear you right? Were you even sure? He could see the bottle was empty. There was no way you were all the way there. You must’ve been drunk out of your mind.
“See? ‘S dumb,” you mumble tiredly. “Just…don’t tell him I told you.”
“I won’t.” He watched your eyes slowly close, your body letting the waves lull you asleep. “I promise.”
Sabo scooped you up, bringing you back to the ship. He made a B-line for his quarters, tucking you into his bed. Out of respect, he wasn’t going to sleep with you. He couldn’t. But…your hand latched onto him tightly, brows furrowed in your sleep. Sabo tried to tug your hand from his coat but fuck, were you strong.
Sabo sighed and slid in beside you, holding you close. “I love you, too, Y/N.”
“I know,” you mumbled drunkenly against his chest, feeling his body tense up against you.
Monkey D Luffy
Oh, sweet Luffy. Such innocence in this strong fighter. It was laughable really. You could absolutely do anything and he wouldn’t bat an eye. Wouldn’t dare second-guess that you were just being you. After all, you two grew up together. Well, you four. But you followed Luffy on his adventure, some sort of instinct to protect this naive kid.
You were really into him. The whole crew could see it from miles away. Nami and Franky always teased you about it. Hell, even Sanji teased you. He tried giving you love advice, but you’d give him a pointed look and he would roll his eyes.
“You don’t have to look at me like that.”
You raised an eyebrow.
“Alright! Alright! Tch. I know.”
You’d bring Luffy snacks while he was busy doing things around the ship–if he wasn’t already scavenging the fridge. Or force his stinky self to bathe. He’d scream halfway across the ship, telling the crew you were kidnapping him. Robin would tease that you were like his mother which you’d shiver in disgust.
“So, you enjoy being a parent?”
“What?”
“You’re like his mom.”
“Ew… That feels so wrong.”
One Sunday evening, Luffy came creeping into your room. He watched you carefully, extremely confused. You looked up from your book, raising your eyebrow as he flinched.
“What’s wrong, Luffy?”
“Bath.”
“Is it broken?” You get up, leaving your book on the bed.
“No. You didn’t make me take one.”
You stared at him for a moment before bursting into laughter. “Um, no, I didn’t.”
“Why?” He tilted his head and it made you smile.
“I’m not your mom,” you shrug softly, rubbing your arm awkwardly.
“So?” Luffy, still confused, went over and started tugging you along. “I know you’re not.”
“Where we goin’?” You raised your eyebrow.
“Bath.” He made it sound so obvious.
“You want a bath?” Your hand flew up to your mouth to stop your laughter.
Luffy stepped into the bathroom, pointing at the tub. “No… Yes… I don’t know.”
You started the water, plugging up the drain. He watched you, pouting. Why’d you stop fighting him? Was he being too annoying? His chest felt funny as he stared at you.
“Why aren’t you making me take one?” He asked again, poking your side.
“I figured you didn’t want it.”
You weren’t just going to up and tell him Robin’s comment made you feel strange and distant. You didn’t want him seeing you as his mother. Not when you had feelings for him.
“You’re lying. Your nose moved.”
“What?”
“Your nose. It did that thing when you lied.”
Your face went red, looking away from him. You shut the water off and nodded at it.
“Get in.” You glanced at him.
“No. Why are you lying? We don’t lie to each other.”
Luffy was right. You two didn’t lie to each other. It was just something that stuck all throughout the years. You sighed softly, dropping your head between your hands.
“I know and I’m sorry. But I can’t tell you.”
“That’s the same thing as lying.”
“Luffy, get in the damn tub.”
“Hey! Don’t be mean!” Luffy whined.
“Sorry, sorry, I’m sorry,” you rubbed your face, looking up at him. Dammit. He was adorable. Cute. Really fucking attractive. Especially when he wore his shirt open… Crap. “Luffy, I love you.”
“I love you too,” Luffy tilted his head again. “What’s wrong?”
“No, like, I love love you.” You mumbled.
“What do you mean?” He sat in front of you, forcing you to look at him.
“Like… I have a crush on you, dummy. I love you. In love,” You bit your inner cheek, nervously tapping your heel on the floor.
“And…you didn’t want to make me take a bath because you love love me?” Luffy got up, taking his clothes off.
You looked away until you could hear the water splashing, “It’s not going to make sense.”
“Oh, well,” Luffy laid in the water. Before the effects could fully weaken him, he yanked you into the tub with him. “I think I love love you too.”
“Asshole!” You sputtered, looking up at him now drenched.
Luffy grinned, puckering his lips. Maybe he wasn’t so naive.

Neteyam - Reacting to your death
Hey y'all, how y'all doing 😟? It's been a year since I published something but I am in my avatar era. I will post an announcement about where I've been, but enjoy(?) this heavy angsty.
Summary —> You're on your last breath, and Neteyam has a hard time accepting it.
Pairing: neteyamsully x !reader (no use of y/n)
Word count: 1024
Warnings: blood/angst/mentions of a g*n/sad neteyam
DON’T REPOST MY WORK
Sharp pain was all you could feel when you jumped down the ship. It was that short moment of pushing Neteyam before you to minimize exposure that the realization hit you; you followed after him without thinking twice about the consequences, yet again.
Your ears rang in the otherwise silent ocean, like the water completely separated itself from the unnatural, unnecessary and foreign violence happening in the surface. A sigh of relief, contentment, serenity, until you're resurfucing again - or rather, struggling to.
"Fuck," you sputter, feeling a strange loss.
Lo'ak shouts after you to hurry up, but you can't, and it frustrates you. You hate falling behind, no matter how dire the injury is. "You sxkawng," gasping and trying to hold onto something, crimson surrounds you. "I'm shot."
Everyone stills.
Neteyam's head whips around with nothing but pure, unadulterated horror. His eyes fall on your pained face, then the bullet wound on your chest. You can see dark shadows casting over his face, the tremor of his hands, the slowing of his breath - all working together to keep his gears turning you assume. He quickly swims forward. "Quick, the Ilu."
You feel yourself being held around your body - suddenly, warmth feels like an unfamiliar concept. When had you become so cold to the outside world? When had you closed yourself off that warmth was foreign?
Though in odd, you fashion, you're not panicking. You're just lying there, gazing at the sky and letting chaos erupt around you. Sounds are muffled, and you don't know what's happening but you can only assume they're taking you to land.
The sky looks uncharacteristically blue - against all odds you've found yourself in. Eywa is in mourning.
Maybe it's because you cannot fathom that you, your own life, cannot end. You feared losing loved ones, but never feared nor thought about dying. It's not like you were immortal of course, one day you were going to leave the physical world and join the all mother amongst your family.
You just didn't think it would happen this soon. And you still think against it - you think against it when Mr Sully lays you down on cold rock, when he turns you over to inspect something, and when he looks at you with a faraway look.
"Dad," Neteyam chokes out.
Everything hurts and you start struggling to breath. Light headed, that's when you stop thinking all together.
"Am I-" you gasp for air, surprised that you, out of all people, is struggling to speak. You were quite chatty, at least that's what they told you. "Am I, dying?"
"No!" yells Neteyam, he's cupping your head with his palm, not letting your head touch the cold surface. "You're not dying, ____!"
He's sobbing, and you look around the faces of the people you consider loved ones. Lo'ak is wide eyed, staring at your probably paled face. He looks in utter agony and...confusion? Mr. Sully is crying, this is the first time you have seen him cry - be so vulnerable. He was Toruk Makto, so he'd always dismiss you with a nod, sometimes crack a joke here and there but stay stern all the while. He was clutching your hand, his own shaking. Kiri was just now arriving at the little land formation, and the look of her horror on her face brings tears to your eyes. You were dying - no. You were dead, it was final.
You try to calm your breathing, an obscene contrast to the gushing blood on your chest. You couldn't speak, but you could feel. And you were feeling the love of the people around you - and with the intensity of it, you deemed it a worthy way to go.
Neteyam however, was cluthing on your hand, hard. "You are not leaving me ____....Dad!" he sobs, a wretched sound breaking through his chest as he doubles over your body and shudders. "Do something!"
He's yelling, screeching even. His dad looks in anguish at his son's state, or perhaps because he feels utterly helpless at saving you.
"It's okay, Neteyam." you say softly, in a very wispy voice; "You're going to be okay."
You smile, and he screams, trashing and hugging your body to his chest. You try to push him away, but to no avail. Your limbs have fallen weak, you have already accepted the pain. "No!" he screams again, chest reverbeting against your deflating form.
"No, no, no, no!"
Mr Sully grabs ahold of his son and softly pulls him back, seperating him from you, "Son, please," his voice sounds broken.
Lo'ak is silent beside you, head held down, shuddering. Warm droplets are hitting your arm, and you can only guess it's tears. Kiri is on her knees, begging To Great Mother.
But you know it's final. And you don't feel too sad about it. You'd get to be with your parents, and Eywa, and all that. You'd be happy, you know you would be.
"____! No, I have to tell-" Neteyam gasps, trashing in his fathers hold. "I love you, I see you. Please,"
You're eyes have finally glazed over, you're gone.
You hadn't heard, and that only breaks Neteyam more. He screams in agony, clawing at your body, shaking you so, somehow, miraculously, you would open your eyes, tell him you love him and that you wan't to spend the rest of your life with him.
But there is no, "rest”. This was it for you, this was your life. When you had told him that you wanted to spend your life exploring Pandora, this was the extent. You would never have that, you will never be able to fulfill your dream because this day was the entirety of your future and present.
Neteyam is helpless. He had somehow escaped his fathers hold and was hugging your lifeless body close to his. Shrieks were ripping from his throat, desperately trying to transfer some sort of energy into your limbs. He could feel his mother's warmth surround him, a weak force pulling him back. "Please, don't. Let me hold her."
He sounded so broken, empty, purposeless that his mother and father break down as well.

"AMBER EYES" CHAPTER 2
Bad Batch TECH Fan Ficlet x NON-GENDERED READER
A story of HOPE for Tech Fan's: Resident of Pabu unlocks a secret even THEY weren't aware they had access to!
Word Count: 800
Rated: SAFE for EVERYONE! ENJOY!!!
The stars whiz by the windscreen as I lay on the bunk in the dimly lit ship. Echo is at the helm. He brought transport since the Marauder was destroyed.
I’m exhausted.
It’s been months since my FIRST contact with Tech. Since then, I’ve only gotten snippets of sensory information: by sight, sound, feel. I can still feel him breathing...it’s been the only constant since that day on Pabu. Like we’re sharing the same breath.
The goggles are no longer needed for me to reach out to Tech. Omega still brought them along “just in case”. There are times I can concentrate while awake to experience what he is experiencing. But most times it happens during the night, when sleep pulls my guard down.
And, because of that I don’t sleep for very long.
Crosshair says I talk in my sleep...and it sounds JUST LIKE his brother. He’s tried to elicit a conversation, but without me being conscious it goes nowhere.
“Found some muscle relaxers. That should help you sleep.” Hunter kneels with a canteen, dropping two tablets into my hand.
“Thanks” Swallowing the meds.
“Here” He also hands me a ration bar “They’ll tear up your stomach if you don’t eat.”
“You’re such a DAD” I kid.
“You’re a part of this family, too” Hunter smiles and it reaches his eyes. I can also see a bit of concern in them. “Of course we’ll take care of you.”
He pats my shoulder, stepping away as Wrecker approaches.
“Ya ready?” Cracks the knuckles of his large hands.
I nod as he sits behind me on the bunk and CAREFULLY massages my head, temple, ears. The man has hands that could EASILY crush my skull...
...but his fingers are so gentle. He eases away the tension as I chew on the ration bar.
Soon the meds, food, and Wrecker’s massage take effect. I’m feeling extremely comfortable. There’s a conversation going on between Hunter, Echo, and Crosshair...I’m catching small snippets...
“Concerned about ______. Too much for one person to bear.” Hunter empathizes with my plight. He UNDERSTANDS all too well.
Echo’s voice chimes in “Yeah, all the leads just wind up being dead ends. Not sure how much longer we...THEY can keep going...”
Crosshair grits his teeth and worriedly runs his hand over his stubbly head. His silver hair growing back. He feels IMMENSE guilt. Both he and Wrecker have already openly argued about the mission that took Tech’s life...
They almost came to blows. It made Omega cry.
Hunter and Echo broke it up, putting them both in temporary “Time Out.”
They eventually made up...well Wrecker did. Crosshair just stared at the floor like a whipped dog.
Crosshair says something...but it’s lost as I fall asleep with Wrecker’s hands in my hair...
The warmth and comfort immediately torn away from me...
I...WE are laying in the cold wet mud...of SOME world...rain coming down in sheets.
There’s a body next to...us...
A dead rebel soldier. His eyes are wide open, glazed over...mud and rain splattered upon his body where he fell...
We...Tech...is CRAWLING through the mud. Attempting to escape? I can FEEL his respiratory effort as he DRAGS himself through the wet mess. He manages to pull himself with his arms several feet before falling back into the mud...utterly exhausted...
The hard patter of rain upon his body. He’s shivering. His body temperature is dropping...he’s becoming TIRED, struggling to keep both eyes open...only a matter of time before hypothermia sets in...
Please...don’t LEAVE me...
He’s addressing...ME! I can FEEL it!!!
I’m SHOCKED. This is the FIRST time he’s spoken to me...
Yes...I KNOW you’re there. He answers breathlessly. Took me some time to ascertain...you are using Remote Viewing...
I push to find my voice...
WE ARE COMING FOR YOU! I blurt out Hunter, Crosshair, Echo, Wrecker, and Omega are with me! We...
Tell them to abort their mission! Tech cuts me off.
NO! Where ARE YOU???
The Empire WILL find you all. It is NOT safe... He sighs HEAVILY I wish to see them all again...but NOW is not the time...
...and...I...am not the man I once was...
A ship lands several meters away. Its crew jumps down into the mire, slogging towards...Tech...US. He is grabbed up by several hands and hauled to the ship...into it...the crew starts basic first aid...
Thank you for keeping me awake...and ALIVE...if not for YOU, I would have expired. PLEASE, keep my brothers and sister safe...
And with that, Tech CUTS contact with me...
...I SLINGSHOT VIOLENTLY back to Echo’s ship!
I BOLT upright in the bunk. Wrecker has a mild heart attack with the suddenness of my action.
I’m SCREAMING something over and over...
Tech thought he could prevent me from finding him...
But I managed to catch a glimpse with HIS OWN EYES...the ship’s hull...
“DELIVERANCE! TRANSPONDER CODE 00155268!!!”
EVERYONE is running towards me...
“DELIVERANCE! TRANSPONDER CODE 00155268!!!”
I can only stare DIRECTLY into Echo’s eyes...
“DELIVERANCE! TRANSPONDER CODE 00155268!!!”
They widen. He SMILES. Immediately Echo sets to work with his ship’s computer...
CHAPTER 3 TO BE POSTED SHORTLY!

A pirate and the sea
pairings: pirate!Jeongin x reader
Warnings: death, angst, fluff
summary: You were the daughter of a sailesman and after your father's death, you were held captive by pirates. Luckily, you meet a young pirate that will change your life forever.
author's note: Hey guys! I'm a big fan of Pirates of the Caribbean so I thought I would try to write a fic about pirates. I hope you like it even though my knowledge comes from the films and the internet ;-)
The sea is wild. Something you can't tame. Within minutes, the peaceful waves can turn into fearsome beasts that cannot be domesticated.
Yet, the humans explore it and take every opportunity to reach further into the deepest of the sea. They search for gold, for treasures, and for freedom.
Many people try to control it, sailesmen from European colonies claim the sea.
But there are also pirates. They raid and steal from the cities. Their home is the sea, their ship.
Two days ago, a pirate ship docked at the harbour of your town. You were the daughter of a sailesman, someone with money.
In the night, they looted the shops and surprised your father and you. Quickly, your father pushed you behind a cabin so that they couldn't see you.
They picked the lock and four pirates stormed in. Your father tried to bring them to just take the money and go but they knew that this wasn't everything your family owned. They aimed their colts at him. They will shot him, you thought. In your hands was your own colt that your father gave you if you would ever be in danger.
As a sailesman, he had many enemies. Mostly pirates. So, he taught you how to defend yourself. But in this moment, where the guns pointed at your father's chest, you needed to do something. You can't just stand there and hide when your only family member was about to get shot.
You took a deep breath and with shivering fingers, you jumped out of your hideout and aimed one of the pirates. Without hesitation, you pulled the trigger and the pirate fell to the ground while his crew mates turned.
"Daughter, no!" Your father exclaimed as one of the men grabbed your arm and held his gun to your temple.
"Feisty little thing, you are" the pirate behind you whispered into your ear. Due to the smell of his breath you, you tried not to vomit.
Your father pleaded to let you go but they seemed to be fond of you.
Blind from the panic, your father tried to get to you and in that moment the other pirate shot him. The bullet went directly through his chest where blood stained his chemise red.
You tried to escape, to get to him. You needed to help him but the stern grip didn't let you go. You cried and yelled as they dragged you out of your house and to the docks.
Your naked feet burned due to the uneven ground and the cold wind dried your tear streaks.
They dragged you on their ship and threw you in a cell under the deck
...
You didn't know how long you were on that ship. You had cried until the exhaustion made you fall asleep and woke up when the pirates dumped a bucket of water over you.
They laughed and walked up the stairs. The hole to the deck was the only light source while your cell was surrounded with nothing but darkness. The only thing you heard, besides the rustling of the waves, were the footsteps above you.
You didn't know how many time has passed and the constantly rocking of the ship through the waves made you fall into a sleep again and again.
The same dream followed you everywhere. You saw your father dead, murdered by these beasts again and again.
Days passed and you wondered if someone would search for you. If someone had found your father. Maybe you should have stayed in the hideaway. Maybe then your father, your only family that was left, wouldn't be dead.
You felt weak. Although you were used to being on a ship, the absence of food and water made you nauseous. The last time you ate something was in the night, when the pirates attacked your home.
Suddenly, you heard the rapid footsteps above you. Were they in panic? Was a storm about to hit the ship and they were just jumping around to prepare it therefore?
Then, you heard shouting and the noise was louder. What was going on?
It seemed that it were fights due to the sound of swords crashing together and the painful shoutings.
And suddenly, the noisiness stopped and it was nearly completely quiet.
A foot clothed in a brown boot stepped on the first stair down, then the other. The footsteps were heavy and calm as the person went down to where the cells were. Each step revealed more of the person and soon, another person followed. Judging by the footwear, that weren't your father's friends.
You panicked.
It didn't sound like any of the bastards that kidnapped you. With all your strength, you fled to the end of your cell and pushed yourself to the wooden wall behind you. You hoped that the person's, the foreigner wouldn't see you.
If they just took over the complete ship without any hesitation, they would be worse than the murderer.
The two guy, observed the dark room, still alerted with swords and colts in hand if there were other pirates down here.
All you could do was sitting there and hope that they didn't notice you.
But when one of them turned and saw you. He nudged his mates to make him draw attention to you.
They spoke quietly to each other and one went upstairs. Maybe they wouldn't pay you attention at all. Maybe they'll just let you be in that cell.
But another person made his way downstairs. Due to the lack of light, you couldn't see his face and only pressed yourself further into the wall.
"Who do we have here? A little bird" he said and you could nearly hear his smile.
"No need to be afraid little bird." He stated while he pulled out a colt and at first, you thought that this would be the end. Your death but he aimed the lock that kept you in the cell. With a targeted shot, he opened the door to the cell and walked in.
"See? No danger. Come"
You nodded and stood up slowly. Your stance was weak and shaky due to the absence of food and water over the last days. You figured that obeying his commands was the best way to stay alive.
You followed him upstairs into the light. At first, the bright sun made you blind. It was like you could finally breath again after days in that rat hole.
Now, you could observe your rescuer. He was tall and had black hair. You must admit that he was attractive.
"Cap, we've got everything" another one said. He was slightly shorter, approximately your hight and bulkier than the rest of the crew.
Your rescuer seemed to be the captain.
"Alright guys. Thanks for the good trade." The captain exclaimed to the pirates that stood in a corner, circled by three people. He walked over a beam to his ship. His hand held your arm in a firm grip to make sure you follow him. Yet, the grip wasn't hurting.
His crew followed both of you to the bigger ship. Compared to this one, the ship you were captured on was like a small boat. There were wooden boxes stacked, they must have looted them from the pirates.
Some crewmates lifted the beams up and the captain was already behind the ship's steering wheel and stirred the ship away from the other one. While the crew began to bring the boxes under deck, you just stood there. Why did he bring you here?
Where held captive again? Or was that your chance to go home?
When the course was set, the captain let his second-in-command take over. He came to you and shot you a small smile.
"Alright little bird. Welcome on our ship. I'm the Captain and my name is Jeongin. Will you tell me yours?"
You swallowed and tried to wet your lips befor answering. "Y/n"
"A beautiful name. Come, I'll show ya the ship"
Confused you followed him. What did that guy, Jeongin, want from you?
You stepped in a room, it was big and in the middle, there stood a bulky table with some maps scattered on it. Some shelfs stood in front of a wall and a bed was placed in one corner. What would you give to sleep in one now.
"That's my room. And because we don't have any other rooms free, you'll be staying here"
Due to your facial expression, he laughed.
"Little bird, you didn't thought you'll be staying in one of those cells or did you?"
You felt your blood rushing into your cheeks and lowered your view.
He walked to a cabin and digged through it. Then, he pulled out a light brown shirt and a trousers.
"They propabaly wil be too big but try it on, little bird" He held the clothes out to you and you took them hesitantly.
Jeongin left the room to give you some space and quickly, before he could come back, you jumped out of the white dress, well it was once white. You threw over the clothings and he was right, they definitely were too big for you. But you didn't mind because now you wouldn't be nearly naked in front of these men.
You entered the deck and searched for Jeongin. He stood behind the steering wheel and guided the ship. You decided that you shouldn't interrupt him now and walked around the deck. You sat down at the front so that you could see into the ocean. Sighning, you leaned forward on the railing. The sun slowly went down and nearly kissed the ocean while the sky was painted into a beautiful orange-red.
You always loved to be on the sea. Often, you accompanied your father on his trips. He taught you much about ships and sometimes you steered it.
"Hey! I'm Felix!" a deep voice behind you exclaimed. You flinched and turned your head to see a brown haired boy with a friendly smile.
"Hey. I'm Y/n" you replied.
"First time on the sea?" He asked and sat himself down beside you. The friendly smile never left his lips.
"No, my father was a sailesman. He used to take me with him" you explained.
"That's awesome. I'm sure he is on his way to you"
A sad smile danced over your face. You would never see him again. Not in this lifetime.
"Yeah, maybe" you answered with a low voice. You didn't want to tell him that you were the only one left. And you still didn't know why they saved you.
"Come, Felix! You wanted to help me prepare dinner!" A voice exclaimed and Felix shot up.
He bowed to you and quickly left.
...
Only one hour later, Jeongin broke you out of your daydreaming and led you to something that looked like a cooking hob. And honestly, you didn't know what to expect. Your father told you that most of the pirates eat mostly rusk on long journeys and that sometimes worms are in that rusk.
Jeongin saw your sceptical face and nudged you forward.
"Come. I won't poison you"
He took a bowl from Felix and gave it to you. It was filled with some bread and dried meat but no worms in sight at all. You gave him a thankful smile and ate your meal. After eating nothing for so long, you would probably eat everything that they would present you. You sat on a barrel next to Jeongin and shoveled the food into your mouth.
And again you asked yourself why they rescued you. Now they have another hungry person on the ship that isn't even in the crew.
With a full stomach, you leaned back and gave the bowl back to Felix. For a short time, you closed your eyes.
But you shot up when you felt a hand on you lower back. You relaxed when you saw that it was just the captain.
"Come, let's go to bed" he whispered and you followed him to the captain's room. He opened the door for you and let you in. Clueless, you stand in the middle of the room. There was only one bed and just because he seemed okay you couldn't be sure. You knew him for only less than a day.
"Little bird, relax. I'm gonna sleep outside with my crew." He chuckled and was already turning away when you catched the sleeve of his jacket.
You felt bad that you chased him out of his own bed. And if you were honest, you could just hold some distance.
"You can stay. You don't need to sleep outside"
A toothy smile lightened his face and his eyes crinkled. "If you say so, little bird"
He took off his jacket and boots and got into the bed. You took a deep breath, layed next to him with your back facing him. He placed the blanket over your small frame and whispered a good night.
...
Days passed and you still didn't know why they rescued you. But everyone on this ship seemed kind. Some of them hid their friendly nature behind a wall of coldness but if you look closer, you can see the bubbly version of them shining through. Felix turned to a friend within just a few days due to his sunny and helpful personality.
And Jeongin. Still, the captain and you shared one bed at night. And you slept with your back facing him every night even though you usually woke up with your face buried into his chest or his hands circled around your waist. It was awkward to say at least. But luckily he hadn't said anything.
Now, it was already night and most of the crew were already asleep or played a card game under the deck.
You had accompanied them for a while but now, you searched for the captain. You found him on the control deck. Slowly you approached him.
"What are you doing here, little bird?" He asked. You leaned on the railing. "I could ask you the same"
He chuckled and ran his hands over the wood of the railing.
"Jeongin, why did you save me? You could've left me there. You didn't know me at all"
"Because you reminded me of someone. My mom. My father rescued her when she was held captive by sailesmen."
"Thank you. Thank you for saving me" you whispered and layed your hand on his arm.
"I would do it all over again, little bird." He said and his eyes travelled around your face. The moon turned his hair into a silver shade and his dark eyes sparkled.
Sleepy, you leaned your head on his shoulder and you felt his fingers dance over your hand, drawing circles and figures.
That was the last thing you remembered before sleep took over. In the morning, you woke up in bed with the sun on your face. You must've been really tired to sleep so long. The place next to you was cold. Jeongin must be gone a while now.
You entered the deck and you already knew where you would find the captain. He stood behind the ship's steering wheel. On the horizon, you could spot the first houses.
"Are we going on land?" You asked Jeongin and stood beside him.
He just nodded and grabbed the wheel tighter. You pinched your eyes together to get a better image of the approaching town. You definitely knew that town. It was your hometown.
"Wait, what are we doing here?"
"I'm bringing you home and we need some errands" he said and turned his face away from you. He was definitely not up to a conversation now, so you just let it slide. Was he getting rid of you? The thought never crossed your mind that he doesn't want you on the ship. Stupid.
Why should he want you here? It's not that you are a big help either. During the past days, you helped Felix with preparing meals for the crew. But after yesterday night you thought that something had changed.
You couldn't force him to let you stay.
...
Two hours later, you walked down the beam to the mainland followed by Jeongin.
"That's it, then" he said, his hands in the pockets of his jacket and the big hat covered most of his face.
"Yeah, thank you Jeongin" you whispered.
He bid you goodbye and you turned around. You didn't want to see him standing there.
You followed the well-known path to your house. The door wasn't locked so you entered. The house was nearly empty. The most things were stolen and just the significant blood stain on the floor reminded that your father was murdered here only days ago. Luckily, his body wasn't here anymore. That would be cruel and you wouldn't know if you would forget that picture ever again.
Then, you made your way to the cemetery. You walked through the aisles and searched for his name.
Pretty fast you found the grey gravestone with his name chiseled into. You kneeled beside it and let your hand slide over the uneven stone. You never thought that your life would take such a drastic twist.
After your father died, nothing held you here anymore. The thought of staying here, living here in happiness made you sick. The short journey on Jeongin's ship made you forget. You were your true self there and not only that.
You liked Jeongin. As a captain and person. He saved you even though he didn't know you. And within that short time, you developed feelings for him. Sadly, you won't get to tell him that.
But maybe it wasn't too late. He said that they needed some errands before going back to the sea. You placed a kiss on the gravestone and ran through the city. You bumped into so many people but you didn't mind. You prayed that they were still there. It felt like your father's spirit led you.
At the harbour, you searched for the big ship and you were relieved. They seemed to bring the errands on the ship right now. Jeongin stood in front of it and looked through the boxes.
When he heard your footsteps, he looked up and he was surprised.
"Y/n. What are you doing here?" He asked and walked towards you. You needed a second to catch your breath.
"I want to go with you"
"What?"
"Jeongin, being on your ship made me realise that I don't want to live a boring life. I want to stay. On the ship. With you." You brushed your hair back and took another step to him.
His eyes travelled to your lips and he leaned in.
With both hands, he grabbed your face and pressed his lips on yours. The kiss was hard, full of emotions and desire. But it was all you ever wanted. You wanted to be with him. Your pirate and the sea. That's all you ever needed.

and while we're at it, I also NEED people in fandom To Be Normal about close platonic dynamics and not just assume that any significant bond between two characters HAS to be leading to romance. I need people to be normal when they DON'T kiss at the end of the movie. I need people to be normal about those of us who aren't into your ship. I need people to see platonic readings of character dynamics as valid
yeah romance is cool and all but i NEED "the unbreakable bonds of friendship" to actually be treated as such by the narrative and not something inherently less important or more childish than romance. I need to see platonic relationships be treated with the same weight and complexity and respect. I want more stories that say "the power of friendship can save the world" and say it with their whole chest without a hint of shame or snark about it. I need more stories to show that platonic love is powerful and important and true. What I'm saying is I need another The Lord of the Rings in this essay I will-
#[screaming at the top of my lungs] NOT EVERYTHING HAS TO BE ABOUT SHIPPING NOT EVERYTHING HAS TO BE ABOUT SHIPPING NOT EVERYTHING HAS TO BE-#like it's cool if your into that but I am BEGGING you to be normal about people who aren't#anyway don't mind me I'm just thinking aro thoughts again#honestly these problems might not be as bad as I sometimes think they are. but it can still be annoying at times#well. they're not bad in the small circles I involve myself in at least#sometimes I get a peek at other fandoms and then quickly remember why I am not in many fandoms#anytime I see someone make a post like 'anyone not liking [x] ship is like a reg flag bc they're probably homophobic...'#YES THIS IS ABOUT FRODO BAGGINS AROACE ICON#YOU WILL TEAR AROACE FRODO FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS

WHERE DO BROKEN HEARTS GO
Synopsis: After being a part of the Donquixote "family" for 10 years, a certain clumsy man with a heart of gold helps you escape the cage.
Pairing : None really, a little Doflamingo x Reader; a little sprinkle of Corazon x Reader
Warnings: Mentions of Doflamingo's backstory and Doflamingo himself.
She stirred in her sleep as a small hand tugged at the green scarf that was tied around her neck. Cracking an eye open, she looked at the boy trying to wake her up, his cheeks flushed. She sat up straight and held the little boy’s hands in hers.
“My my, you’re so cold Law! Come here, I’ll warm you right up. I’m sure Corazon will be back soon.”
Law nodded and huddled closer to her. She untied her scarf and wrapped it around his petite frame, calming his shivering body down. He seemed to immediately feel better as his teeth stopped chattering. She rubbed his arms up and down, while keeping an eye out for Corazon, who would be on his way back to them with the Ope Ope Nomi.
Hurry up, Rosi. I don’t know how long he can hold on…
Law had long fallen asleep and her eyes were starting to droop too. She slapped her cheek lightly to stop sleep from taking over her. Corazon should’ve been back by then but he was nowhere to be seen. Any hope she had left was slowly dying and terrible thoughts were swarming her mind. What if he got caught by the executives? Or what if Doflamingo caught him? He’s probably dead…
Snow was falling over them now as the little to no protection of the tree was rendered useless by the winds swaying the leaves around. Law was asleep but he didn’t look good at all. Most of his face had turned white and his cheeks were brightly flushed. Poor child. She looked up at the falling snow and her mind drifted to that day. The day her life changed. The day she met Donquixote Doflamingo…
--------10 years ago----------
Under the torn rug, a young girl with dark black hair lay hidden, hands over her mouth to stop any sound from escaping. She could smell the stench of death in the air as gunshots rang heavily around her. She couldn’t understand why the World Government would order a buster call on her island. In one instant, her entire life was turned upside down. The people who had miraculously survived the blasts were now being shot to death. A strangled sob escaped her lips and she quickly shut them together. The horror of being found silenced her voice and she closed her eyes. Her momentary peace was taken away as the rug on top of her was harshly pulled up. She opened her eyes and saw a weird man looking down at her. He had snot running down his nose and his appearance was quite disturbing.
“Nya Doffy, look what we have here”, he said to another person who was standing a little farther from her. As he came closer, she saw him clearly. He didn’t look that much older. He was wearing a wine-colored suit and his eyes were covered by sunglasses. He glanced at her trembling figure and said something to another man standing next to him. The other man was also weird-looking or maybe he had makeup on, she couldn’t tell. He nodded to the man in sunglasses who came closer to her and picked her up.
“Do you want to live?” His voice was deep. Perhaps he was older. She really couldn’t tell. All she managed to do was nod her head. He smirked at the response and handed her to the man in makeup.
“Corazon, take her to the ship. We’ll leave this island in an instant. The Navy will handle the rest of the cleansing.”
Corazon held her wrist and dragged her away from the place that used to be her home. She looked back at the now burned down house and a tear slipped onto her cheek. The man took her to a ship where other weird-looking people were waiting for them. She looked around trying to make sense of everything. Suddenly she felt someone’s hand on her cheek and she turned to see Corazon wiping her tears. He gave her a wide grin which she tried to return but all she could manage was a small smile. The man with sunglasses also boarded the ship and gave the orders to leave. Everyone on the ship seemed to be in good spirits except Corazon. He was solemnly sitting away from them, glancing back at the misfortunate island now and then. She decided to go sit next to him but was called out by the sunglasses man. She thought it best not to disobey so she went to him instead.
“What’s your name?” he asked her, sipping wine straight from the bottle.
She didn’t reply. Her name was something that reminded her of her parents and she didn’t want to remember them at all. Her head lowered as more tears slipped out. The man raised an eyebrow at that and with a sigh, put the bottle down.
“When I ask something, I want an answer instantly, do you understand?” His voice was stern. She wiped her tears quickly and looked up at him. He truly seemed to be young, maybe around her age.
“I apologize. My name is (___).”
“Hmm. How old are you?”
“I turned 18 last week.”
“Nya Doffy, she’s the same age as you but look how tiny she looks compared to you,” the snot-faced man commented and burst into laughter. No one else laughed.
“How would you like to work for me?”
She wasn’t sure what to say. They were pirates and she had no such talents that would suit such a life. But this was her only option. She had nothing else left.
“I’m not sure what I can do for you…”
“Fufufufufufu, I’m sure we’ll find something for you to do.”
“Then I’ll be glad to help. You saved my life after all.”
“Young Master.”
“Huh?”
“That’s what you’ll call me.”
“Of course, Young Master.”
------------------------------------------
The first 3 years were very difficult for her. Adjusting to the Pirate lifestyle was the easier part. What’s difficult to learn was to live with Doflamingo’s family; to learn not to laugh at Pica’s voice, to learn not to make Gladius angry, to learn not to offend Doffy in any way, to not disobey him, and so on. If there was one easy thing, it was getting along with Corazon. She learned that he couldn’t speak but that didn’t stop them from sharing each other’s pain with each other. She soon learned that he was Doffy’s own brother and that he didn’t like how cruel his brother was. As for her role in the family, she was to look after the young ones, Baby 5 and Buffalo, and later Law. At least that’s what everyone thought. In reality, she used to sit with Doflamingo and listen to everything he had to say. One might say she was his therapist, only she couldn’t say anything. She listened and he opened up to her about his inner feelings and turmoil. He told her about his father – Donquixote Homing and how he had left his luxurious life in Mariejois. His father hadn’t thought about the repercussions at all and had led his wife to death and his kids to get tortured. His story gave her an understanding of why he was so cruel but it in no way justified his behavior as a grown-up. He was a tyrant and he knew it. She felt bad for him but she felt even worse for Corazon, whose real name she learned was Rosinante. He had gone through the same things that his brother had and yet he was a much nicer person. Over the years, Doflamingo had grown quite fond of her. Anyone who didn’t know him would think he was in love but he was incapable of that. The feelings he had for her were the thing closest to love but it wasn’t love. It couldn’t be, right? She tried to make herself believe that it wasn’t. However, his behavior indicated otherwise. He was much more polite and sweet to her than the other family members. He brought her gifts and took her sight-seeing. She thought it was a reward for listening to him without complaining. Perhaps it was. Or perhaps it wasn’t. Before she could find out, Corazon turned her life upside down.
It was after he overheard Law talking to Baby 5 and Buffalo. He had picked up Law hurriedly and dragged him into an alley. It might’ve seemed suspicious to anyone but she knew Corazon well enough. She quietly followed them and hid behind the wall to see what was happening. What happened there shook her to her core. He spoke. He spoke clearly and well and said some things that changed everything. After Law ran back, she came out of her hiding place and decided to confront Corazon. He told her everything, about the Celestial Dragons and the Clan of the D. She decided to help him get Law away.
---------- back to present day -------------
The boy and the woman were woken up by the loud gunshots. She got up quickly and picked up Law. He held onto her tightly as she took out her gun.
“Don’t worry. I’ll protect you with my life. Corazon will come here and he’ll get you away from here!”
“Both of us. Cora-San will save both of us.”
She nodded and held him closer, ready to shoot down whoever came down the street. Someone did come running their way but it was Corazon. She let out a sigh of relief as she recognized him. He ran to them quickly and took out a red fruit.
“Look! I got the Ope Ope Nomi! Eat it quickly. Doffy is here!”
Her eyes went wide and she looked around in panic. Law looked absolutely crestfallen and shook his head.
“Even if I eat it, there’s no guarantee that I’ll be able to do away with my disease…”
Corazon grimaced at his words and put the entire fruit into his mouth.
“What nonsense are you saying? It will work. Eat it! Come on!”
Law swallowed the entire fruit and wiped his tongue in disgust. Corazon smiled at the boy and fell face first. Blood oozed out from under him and they ran to him.
“Cora San! What happened?” She turned him around and fell backward in shock.
“You’ve been shot!”, the kid exclaimed, panicked.
He began flailing his arms over his body. “Get better. Get better. Heal him. Stop bleeding! Stop!”
Corazon laughed softly and put his hand over his head. “I told you, it doesn’t work like that. It’s not magic.” He took out something from his pocket and handed it to her. “Give this to the Navy. They’re around the coast. Hurry up.” Before she could stand up, Law took it and ran off. She tried to go after him but Corazon coughed up blood and she decided to stay with him. She put her faith in the kid and began taking out the bullets that were in his body. She tore the sleeves off her shirt and wrapped them around his torso. He smiled through it all and kept looking at her.
“Why weren’t you careful, you idiot! If Doflamingo is here, we need you the most. How could you let yourself get shot like this!”
He clasped her hand and tugged her to himself. She leaned over him and with her free hand, she removed strands of hair from his face.
“Listen to me carefully. I don’t think I’ll make it out of here alive. Once Doffy finds me, he’ll kill me. Take Law and get away from here. Doffy must not get his hands on the Ope Ope Nomi. Promise me, whatever happens, you’ll live.”
She looked into his eyes and saw no fear. She kissed his forehead and smiled at him.
“Law will be free. And so will you. We’re all making it out of here. Hear me? All three of us.”
“Of course. We’ll all be free.”
----------------------------------------
Doflamingo held her wrist tightly as she once again tried to run to her friend lying in front of the treasure boxes. She knew Law was in one of them. Corazon had used his Calm Calm Fruit abilities on Law to make him silent.
“Why did you have to get in my way? Why must I kill another member of my family now?”
Corazon struggled to stand up but he did and pointed his gun towards Doflamingo.
“Law won’t obey you. Neither will she. They’re no longer prisoners, neither to their circumstances nor to you. They’re free!”
All hopes left her body as she heard the shot ring. Doflamingo shot his brother. Once, twice, thrice, a fourth time, a fifth, and finally a sixth, sending his body flying back to the treasure chests. A piercing scream left her lips as she tried to run to him once again but Doffy’s grip held her back. She looked up at his face which was stoic and emotionless.
“How could you?! How could you kill your own brother?!” Her voice was an emotional mess as tears flowed down her cheeks one after another.
He looked at her and tried to wipe her tears but she jerked her head sideways. “I don’t tolerate betrayals. He was my brother but he betrayed me. He only got what he deserved.”
“Then kill me too! I betrayed you too, didn’t I? I ran away from you! Kill me too you hypocrite!”
“Oh, believe me, I have much worse in store for you. You’ll never even dream of leaving me again.”
He turned to Trebol and nodded his head.
“Nya, get the treasure, and let’s leave.” They picked up the boxes and left. She kept looking back at Corazon’s dead body, hoping to see him get up but he lay there motionless. Now her only reason to live was to make sure Law got out of there safely. As they reached their ship, the Navy began firing at them. During the commotion, she saw Law leaving one of the boxes and running away. She let out a deep breath, happy that Corazon’s death hadn’t been in vain.
“Go Law, be free. Live a long and happy life, my boy. Rosi will look after you” she said under her breath as Doffy dragged her onto the ship.

Delay The Inevitable (TBB One-Shot)
Inspired by @nahoney22's and @moonstrider9904's comments (as well as my own) to this post from @sharazadee. A companion scene/ Crosshair POV of the last scene of episode 3x04.
READ ON AO3
The moment the Imperial freighter jumps out of Hyperspace, Crosshair feels anxiety creeping up on him, making his heart race. His gaze lands on the Marauder, settled on Ryloth's moon, and his throat goes dry. Despite his doubts, he must admit Omega was right about Hunter and Wrecker showing up.
Another point for the kid.
He underestimated her intelligence and resourcefulness, but she has proven him wrong. Crosshair now sees why Hunter and the others took up with her so fast. No matter how hard he tried to resist, she’s grown on him. During those five months they were imprisoned on Tantiss together, her relentless optimism became a constant annoyance. He didn’t want her to talk to him. He wanted her to leave him alone, but she never did. She kept coming back at every chance she got.
She refused to give up, mounting a relentless siege on his impregnable defenses until they eventually crumbled. He has reached a point where he is going against all his instincts and following her since they escaped. Protecting her. The sole impulse that kept him going during the last rotation. She’s proven that he’s not as heartless as he wants others to believe.
Omega leaves the pilot's seat as the ship lands, not waiting for the engines to fully stop. Crosshair’s cautionary words die on his lips as she darts out of the cockpit, disappearing into the lift before he can react. With a tired sigh, he looks out the viewport and watches as she stands still in the pool of light, her silhouette bathed in a warm glow. From the Marauder's open hatch on the opposite side, a hulking figure comes into view.
“Now, there’s a sight!”
The sound of Wrecker's booming voice reaches Crosshair's ears, filled with clear relief, while Omega's excited cries for him ring out with pure joy. A lump clenches his stomach, a sickening mix of envy and dread, as he watches them running towards each other. Wrecker embraces Omega, a gesture that Crosshair secretly yearns for, knowing it's something he'll never experience again.
Then Hunter emerges from the Marauder, and Omega runs to hug him. Crosshair turns his head away, his jaw clenched as he battles a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. Crosshair slumps against the seat and, with a furrowed brow, he rakes a hand across his bald head, deciding his next move.
Now that the kid is safe, he should make a swift getaway to evade the Empire. He should take the ship, but hesitates. He knows that his previous squad will not give him a warm reception. After everything he did, why would they? Is he considering returning to them when they turned their backs on him? How could they run away together when there’s no trust among them?
But he has nowhere safe to go. With the Empire hot on his heels, going alone is a dead sentence for him.
A sudden whine and a wet bump startles him out of his churning thoughts. Batcher, the hound, presses her cold nose against his hand.
"Go with Omega," he says, his voice dripping with disdain as he points towards the exit.
Like her owner, the animal cannot grasp his not-so-subtle cues that her presence is unwelcomed. With a pleading whimper, she nips at the sleeve of his shirt, tugging on it with careful determination.
“No, stop! What are you doing?”
As Batcher whined once more, she yanked on his sleeve, the fabric tearing and nearly causing him to fall off the chair, leaving no doubt about her intentions. With a sigh of resignation, Crosshair relents and gives in.
“Ugh, fine! I’m going, but you stay here.”
Crosshair narrows his eyes in irritation at her smug expression, cheerful bounce, and wide smile with her tongue sticking out. As he steps out of the lift, his irritation fades away and is replaced by a weighty sense of dread.
This won’t end well, but he’s not a coward. He can’t delay the inevitable. With each step down the ship's stairs, Crosshair felt the heaviness on his shoulders of uncertainty, fear, and regret. He braces himself for the reactions of Hunter and Wrecker when they lay eyes on him. The intense heat of their anger and distrust travels like a scorching wave between the two islands of light, striking him with deadly precision.
Crosshair inhales deeply, preparing himself for the impending judgement. There’s nothing else he can do.

Wherever you go.
Ghost x Soap. Angst.
"Would you ever move back to Scotland with me?" Johnny asks, interrupting the comforting silence between the two. Their hands occasionally meet, fingers mingling. Johnny enjoys the warmth of Ghost's glove, wishing to feel the rough, calloused skin underneath it. The warm breeze is a comforting touch to the morning they share alone on the porch of the safehouse.
Ghost pulls his cigarette from his lips, smoke drifting from his lips into the morning air. He exhales quietly, his gaze never leaving the open plain.
"What do you mean?" Ghost asks, knocking ash off the edge of his cigarette before placing it back between his lips.
"You know what I mean... Would you ever want to retire with me some day? Head back to Scotland, love near my family. Just you and me."
Johnny looks at Ghost, finally having the courage to slip his palm against Ghost's, fingers intertwining together.
"Bold of you to assume we'd even make it that long."
Johnny scoffs, nudging him with his shoulder. "Stop saying that. Just drop the possibilities and pretend for a moment... Would you??"
Ghost hums. "I would."
He exhales smoke, pressing the bud of the cigarette into the step, dragging the ash marking over the stone before flicking it from his fingers in the ash tray beside him.
Johnny shifted closer, leaning his head on Ghost's shoulder. "I think we'd do nicely with a cat. A nice little flat, a view like this... Possibly even near that bakery you like."
"Got our whole futures planned out do ya Johnny?"
"Aye. Haven't stopped thinking about spending my life with you y'know?"
Ghost turns his head, pressing his warm lips to the side of Johnny's head, pressing a kiss against his scalp.
"I'd go wherever you go. Dead or alive. I'd rather be buried close to you than some sappy funeral ground around other dead men... Not like anyone would show up."
"I'd be there." Johnny corrects.
"Of course you would."
The silence continues for a minute, the both of them sitting on the words before Johnny speaks again.
"So you'll come with me?"
"Yes. I will."
Johnny smiles softly, looking out at the view. "Maybe instead of a normal funeral, I'll arrange us to be burned on old ships. Like vikings and kings."
Ghost huffed in amusement. "I'd actually like that. Sounds less stupid than being buried in the ground. I don't want there to be a corpse to find when I die."
"Why not?"
"Because when I go down I'm taking the Riley name with me. I don't see the importantance."
"So I'll just have us buried in the same coffin together. Holding hands."
Ghost scoffs. "Did you not hear anything I just said??" Johnny leans up, capturing his lips in a kiss. "All I heard were wedding bells~"
Ghost rolled his eyes, cupped Johnny's jaw and kissed him again. "You're insufferable."
"And yet you love me so much~"
"Got that damn right..."
Johnny smiled, closing his eyes, squeezing Simon's hand.
.....
John's fingers twirled the cold metal chain gently around his warm index finger. The cool chain warming his skin.
He looked out at the deep valley, rolling green hills and a cool breeze to the warm summers morning.
He looked down, running his thumb over the jar in his hand.
"Ok Simon..."
He gently placed the jar into the hole he'd dug and covered it back up. "Just as you wanted it... Nothing can bother you out here."
He continued to twirl his fingers in the chain, feeling it leave marks on his skin as he gripped it tightly.
He sat on the ground, reading the name on the small post he'd shoved into the ground.
Simon Riley.
He wished he could have wrote more but he didn't know if Simon would want that. He didn't really know what Simon wanted... He'd talked about death but John had always cut him off before he got to far.
All he really knew was Simon wanted John to outlive him or they'd go out in a blaze of glory together.
John didn't move, even as tears swelled and he felt his chest tighten when his throat constricted. Even when those tears slipped down his cheeks.
"It'll be nice and quiet up here for you..."
"I know you'd like that..."
He clears his throat. "We did have a little funeral. Nothing big... Price and Gaz were there..." His bottom lip trembled. "Alejandro and Rodolfo came too... Just to say goodbye to you..."
"I won't be far away... It's a big hike but I know it's right. And I'll come visit you always. Ok?"
He gulped. "And I'm... Gonna bring you flowers too, just so you don't get lonely up here. Make it look nice and pretty for you."
He wiped the tears from his cheeks, blinking away the pain. "I killed them..." John remembered it. Holding that knife to the man's throat, watching the blood pour as he gurgled and begged. He remembered feeling the agony, the anger and the sadness as he walked back out of that room.
"I gutted them for what they did to you..."
He looked down at the dog tags in his hand, smoothing his thumb over the engraving.
Simon Riley.
John curled up, pressing his lips to the dog tags, trembling as he cried. He buried his head in his knees, sobbing his heart out on that mountain top.
Ghost had tried to warn him, but nothing could stop this pain he felt losing Simon. His Simon.
He'd tear the world apart for taking away the person he loved with all his heart.
He'd make sure the world never forgot Ghost. That he would be admired and praised for everything he did. Simon Riley would live on in his heart. In the hearts of those who held him dear.
"I love you, Simon..."
Little thing. Iffy on posting it but who cares, it's 1 in the morning and I'm bored. Raw, one take thing so it's unedited. Cheers GhostSoap lovers.

Today's minific, 'Just breathe', is for @believe-in-alderaan!
“Just breathe, kid. C’mon, please. I’ll do whatever it takes. I’ll never complain about the mudstains your boots leave everywhere, or your ridiculous poncho collection. I won’t even complain about BD jumping all over my couch. Just breathe.”
Greez’s voice cuts through the darkness, and Cere is thrown suddenly and completely into consciousness. She snaps upright, stomach muscles wailing in protest, and finds herself on the deck of the Mantis, soaked through and bitterly cold. She looks over and sees a nightmare.
Cal, unconscious and bleeding.
Greez, performing increasingly desperate CPR.
Merrin, her magick winding itself into the wound running Cal through.
BD-1, nudging Cal and getting no response.
All of them, doing what they can to bring him back. Bring him back because he’s dead. He’s dead. Cal’s dead. He’s –
The dark side calls again, whispers of its power, promises it can defeat death if she just reaches out, uses its strength, and slams it into Cal, dragging him back, kicking and screaming if that’s what it takes. She can’t lose him, but she’s going to if she doesn’t reach out, doesn’t take hold of all the power she needs to keep hold of him for –
Cere pushes it all away. Cal gave everything for her, for her mission. She will not let it be in vain. She will not let him die, and she will not fall to the dark side to do so.
She is no Jedi Healer. It doesn’t matter. She moves to Cal, tells Merrin, Greez and BD to not give up, and reaches for him. He is so far away, the last tether keeping him out of the Force already fraying, but Cere is neither meek nor quiet. She’s not giving him a choice in the matter. He is not dying here, not for a path she put him on. He is not joining the Force, not today. She’s lost Trilla. She can’t lose him too. She grabs that tether and gives him a single command.
Just breathe.
She is thrown back into herself. The sound of someone coughing and choking fills the air. Cere moves, but Greez is ahead of her, grabbing Cal and rolling him onto his side. His body convulses as his lungs give up all the water he’d inhaled. Greez thumps Cal’s back, helping to clear his lungs faster. BD runs a scan and jabs a stim into Cal. He scans again, happier with the results this time. Merrin’s magick fades and she slumps, looking to Cere. Cere reaches over and holds her hand. She knows Merrin has done all she can. They all have. Cal is alive. He will heal.
They make quick work of patching him up, stripping layers of clothing to reach the wounds beneath. It is a vicious mark Vader inflicted on him, one intended to cause agony rather than death. Had they not escaped, Cere has no doubt in her mind what fate would have befallen Cal. It takes her breath away until the Force reminds her that is a what if, and Cal is alive and under her protection.
At last, their work is finished and quiet falls. The deck is awash with blood and seawater. Greez is the first to break, sobbing into two hands. BD-1 hurries to him, beeping comfort. Greez pets him with a spare hand, telling him it’s okay. He’ll be okay. Merrin holds out for longer, but she is not immune to the emotions crashing through the ship. Cere moves between them, tears mingling with the saltwater on her cheeks. The sounds of Cal’s ragged breaths fill the silence as they all sit and process.
“He’s alive,” Cere tells them, tells herself. Her voice cracks, breaks. “We did it.”
“We really did,” Greez says. He scrubs his eyes, reaches for Cal who remains unconscious. “Alright, kid. You get some rest. We’ve got you.”
“Yes,” Merrin says, weariness straining her voice. “We did not do all of that for you to give up now.”
BD-1 punctuates this with a particularly shrill trill. Cal does not react.
Cere reaches down, runs a hand through Cal’s hair, pulling the wet strands away from his face. He’ll be fine. He’s going to be fine. Looking up, her eyes fall on the holocron someone (Greez?) carelessly threw aside. Cere picks it up, puts it on the table, ready for later. She won’t open it. That’s for Cal to do.
Closing her eyes, Cere breathes.

NANOWRIMO DAYS 1-10
Saying Farewell to Armageddon
Act 1
The first winter
This is not a ghost story. Well, technically, it is, as it involves the haunting consciousness of someone who is definitely dead. Probably dead. Most likely dead. In the far-off future, true death is mostly optional.
This is not a fairytale. Granted, there is a princess in disguise. There is a fair bit of magic. True love prevails. But no, this isn't a fairytale.
Rather, this is a war story.
3834 AD: Ten miles from Skandasaipur, a city on Mars, part of the country of Mangalrajya.
A cold and burnt-red winter. Turquoise snow gently falls in tiny cubes, landing on the rust-colored dirt. In the distance, right on the horizon, there are pillars of smoke. Somewhere a city is on fire. “Aiyo Rama! They better not have burned down the teleportation port again! It makes shipping the ice impossible,” a young woman called Sugafana sighed from deep within her layers of bright purple and emerald green protective clothing. Her companion, a man covered in dark blue and silver, sighed, leaning down on his shovel. “Calm down! We can always drive down to Samarthanagari and use the public pod station,” the man, whose name was simply Jay, said. Sugafana merely grunted with annoyance before picking up her own shovel.
Once, Sugafana had worked in Samarthanagari's best girls' school. Every Thursday and Monday, she would march in through the front gate with her smart green briefcase. The school was now nothing more than a steel shell. “The hair curlers burned that pod station last month,” Sugafana reminded Jay, who sighed. “Just keep digging, Martian snow is going for fifty credits per kilo right now,” Jay pointed out, and Sugafana picked up her shovel before digging into the ground. Fifty credits a kilo. Before the war, Martian snow went for five dollars a kilo. Every Shigmo, children would eat cups full of the stuff flavored with sugar and wild honey.
“I can practically feel your frown from here,” Jay remarked as Sugafana scooped then snow up before dropping it in her bucket. “Prices are getting ridiculous! Barf cheene ghan used to be super cheap, and now vendors will have to charge ten credits to make a profit,” Sugafana growled with annoyance. “And it’s just dry sugar ice,” Sugafana finished as she stuck her spade into the snow again. “Correction, it’s dry sugar ice that some people believe has magic powers!” Jay cried in a sing-song voice. “And do you believe that?” Sugafana sarcastically asked. Jay shrugged. It was the sort of shrug Sugafana had seen many times over the past two years they had spent ice farming. A shrug that indicated Jay wasn’t willing to really believe in anything. Sugafana struck the ice again with her shovel, and there was a sudden faint clinking sound. “There’s something here,” Sugafana said, feeling faintly surprised. “You probably just hit some black ice, the snow fell during the night and the field was empty yesterday,” Jay pointed out. No human alive would dare to go out into the snow at night. The icy winds would tear through layers of protective clothing freezing blood in its veins. “The appliances wouldn’t come out here, no energy charging grids for miles,” Sugafana pointed out as she leaned down to push the cubed snow away with her gloved hands. “I heard the richer appliances have started using humans as portable batteries. They make the humans run ahead of them on treadmills,” Jay recalled as he shifted, standing behind Sugafana. “And who told you that? Your gossiping premika?” Asked crisply. “I told you before, Minty is not my girlfriend,” Jay said wearily, and Sugafana gasped. An eye was staring back at her in the snow. A shiny golden eye. “It’s an android,” Sugafana said, pushing more snow away to reveal a lady's face. A long and elegant face with Cupid bow lips and a stately nose. “Hit it with your shovel,” Jay ordered her. “I said Android! Not appliance! Androids don’t have artificial intelligence,” Sugafana snapped with annoyance as she quickly used her shovel to clear more and more snow. “They don’t? I thought all electronics were determined to turn us into slaves,” Jay remarked as Sugafana unearthed golden shoulders covered in a magenta silk shawl. “My transportation pod uses an electric battery, the lights at camp use electric wind power, and none of them have killed us,” Sugafana pointed out, and Jay raised a gloved finger. “None of them have tried to kill us yet,” Jay merely replied. “Just help me! Baba Tarak will find us a buyer who will pay a small fortune,” Sugafana said, and Jay kneeled down next to Sugafana, his gloves brushing against the snow. For a moment, their eyes met. It was amazing, Sugafana thought, what a person could tell just by glancing at someone’s eyes. Sugafana had never seen Jay’s entire face. They always met five times a week on the fields in their uniforms, helped each other shovel the snow, and then said goodbye at the migrant camp's gates. It has been that way for years. Once or twice, Jay had been foolish enough to ask Sugafana if she wanted to stand together in the food ration line. She always said no. It was easier that way. Still, Jay’s eyes were so dark it was almost impossible to see their pupils. They did, however, crinkle in a way that whispered they were kind. “That’s peculiar,” Jay remarked, breaking away from her gaze. His hands had uncovered a peculiar glowing lump that extended just below the android's chest. “It looks like a perfectly normal maternity droid to me,” Sugafana replied, brushing more snow off its legs. “Is that what they look like? I’ve never seen one in real life! Most women had their babies in my town the old-fashioned way,” Jay remarked. “I used to walk past a boutique selling them on my way to work! I never saw actual pregnant women in the city,” Sugafana replied as she cocked her head to one side, trying to find the android's barcode. “Strange, there’s no identification,” she said to Jay. “And what does that mean exactly?” Jay asked.
