A pirate and the sea
pairings: pirate!Jeongin x reader
Warnings: death, angst, fluff
summary: You were the daughter of a sailesman and after your father's death, you were held captive by pirates. Luckily, you meet a young pirate that will change your life forever.
author's note: Hey guys! I'm a big fan of Pirates of the Caribbean so I thought I would try to write a fic about pirates. I hope you like it even though my knowledge comes from the films and the internet ;-)
The sea is wild. Something you can't tame. Within minutes, the peaceful waves can turn into fearsome beasts that cannot be domesticated.
Yet, the humans explore it and take every opportunity to reach further into the deepest of the sea. They search for gold, for treasures, and for freedom.
Many people try to control it, sailesmen from European colonies claim the sea.
But there are also pirates. They raid and steal from the cities. Their home is the sea, their ship.
Two days ago, a pirate ship docked at the harbour of your town. You were the daughter of a sailesman, someone with money.
In the night, they looted the shops and surprised your father and you. Quickly, your father pushed you behind a cabin so that they couldn't see you.
They picked the lock and four pirates stormed in. Your father tried to bring them to just take the money and go but they knew that this wasn't everything your family owned. They aimed their colts at him. They will shot him, you thought. In your hands was your own colt that your father gave you if you would ever be in danger.
As a sailesman, he had many enemies. Mostly pirates. So, he taught you how to defend yourself. But in this moment, where the guns pointed at your father's chest, you needed to do something. You can't just stand there and hide when your only family member was about to get shot.
You took a deep breath and with shivering fingers, you jumped out of your hideout and aimed one of the pirates. Without hesitation, you pulled the trigger and the pirate fell to the ground while his crew mates turned.
"Daughter, no!" Your father exclaimed as one of the men grabbed your arm and held his gun to your temple.
"Feisty little thing, you are" the pirate behind you whispered into your ear. Due to the smell of his breath you, you tried not to vomit.
Your father pleaded to let you go but they seemed to be fond of you.
Blind from the panic, your father tried to get to you and in that moment the other pirate shot him. The bullet went directly through his chest where blood stained his chemise red.
You tried to escape, to get to him. You needed to help him but the stern grip didn't let you go. You cried and yelled as they dragged you out of your house and to the docks.
Your naked feet burned due to the uneven ground and the cold wind dried your tear streaks.
They dragged you on their ship and threw you in a cell under the deck
...
You didn't know how long you were on that ship. You had cried until the exhaustion made you fall asleep and woke up when the pirates dumped a bucket of water over you.
They laughed and walked up the stairs. The hole to the deck was the only light source while your cell was surrounded with nothing but darkness. The only thing you heard, besides the rustling of the waves, were the footsteps above you.
You didn't know how many time has passed and the constantly rocking of the ship through the waves made you fall into a sleep again and again.
The same dream followed you everywhere. You saw your father dead, murdered by these beasts again and again.
Days passed and you wondered if someone would search for you. If someone had found your father. Maybe you should have stayed in the hideaway. Maybe then your father, your only family that was left, wouldn't be dead.
You felt weak. Although you were used to being on a ship, the absence of food and water made you nauseous. The last time you ate something was in the night, when the pirates attacked your home.
Suddenly, you heard the rapid footsteps above you. Were they in panic? Was a storm about to hit the ship and they were just jumping around to prepare it therefore?
Then, you heard shouting and the noise was louder. What was going on?
It seemed that it were fights due to the sound of swords crashing together and the painful shoutings.
And suddenly, the noisiness stopped and it was nearly completely quiet.
A foot clothed in a brown boot stepped on the first stair down, then the other. The footsteps were heavy and calm as the person went down to where the cells were. Each step revealed more of the person and soon, another person followed. Judging by the footwear, that weren't your father's friends.
You panicked.
It didn't sound like any of the bastards that kidnapped you. With all your strength, you fled to the end of your cell and pushed yourself to the wooden wall behind you. You hoped that the person's, the foreigner wouldn't see you.
If they just took over the complete ship without any hesitation, they would be worse than the murderer.
The two guy, observed the dark room, still alerted with swords and colts in hand if there were other pirates down here.
All you could do was sitting there and hope that they didn't notice you.
But when one of them turned and saw you. He nudged his mates to make him draw attention to you.
They spoke quietly to each other and one went upstairs. Maybe they wouldn't pay you attention at all. Maybe they'll just let you be in that cell.
But another person made his way downstairs. Due to the lack of light, you couldn't see his face and only pressed yourself further into the wall.
"Who do we have here? A little bird" he said and you could nearly hear his smile.
"No need to be afraid little bird." He stated while he pulled out a colt and at first, you thought that this would be the end. Your death but he aimed the lock that kept you in the cell. With a targeted shot, he opened the door to the cell and walked in.
"See? No danger. Come"
You nodded and stood up slowly. Your stance was weak and shaky due to the absence of food and water over the last days. You figured that obeying his commands was the best way to stay alive.
You followed him upstairs into the light. At first, the bright sun made you blind. It was like you could finally breath again after days in that rat hole.
Now, you could observe your rescuer. He was tall and had black hair. You must admit that he was attractive.
"Cap, we've got everything" another one said. He was slightly shorter, approximately your hight and bulkier than the rest of the crew.
Your rescuer seemed to be the captain.
"Alright guys. Thanks for the good trade." The captain exclaimed to the pirates that stood in a corner, circled by three people. He walked over a beam to his ship. His hand held your arm in a firm grip to make sure you follow him. Yet, the grip wasn't hurting.
His crew followed both of you to the bigger ship. Compared to this one, the ship you were captured on was like a small boat. There were wooden boxes stacked, they must have looted them from the pirates.
Some crewmates lifted the beams up and the captain was already behind the ship's steering wheel and stirred the ship away from the other one. While the crew began to bring the boxes under deck, you just stood there. Why did he bring you here?
Where held captive again? Or was that your chance to go home?
When the course was set, the captain let his second-in-command take over. He came to you and shot you a small smile.
"Alright little bird. Welcome on our ship. I'm the Captain and my name is Jeongin. Will you tell me yours?"
You swallowed and tried to wet your lips befor answering. "Y/n"
"A beautiful name. Come, I'll show ya the ship"
Confused you followed him. What did that guy, Jeongin, want from you?
You stepped in a room, it was big and in the middle, there stood a bulky table with some maps scattered on it. Some shelfs stood in front of a wall and a bed was placed in one corner. What would you give to sleep in one now.
"That's my room. And because we don't have any other rooms free, you'll be staying here"
Due to your facial expression, he laughed.
"Little bird, you didn't thought you'll be staying in one of those cells or did you?"
You felt your blood rushing into your cheeks and lowered your view.
He walked to a cabin and digged through it. Then, he pulled out a light brown shirt and a trousers.
"They propabaly wil be too big but try it on, little bird" He held the clothes out to you and you took them hesitantly.
Jeongin left the room to give you some space and quickly, before he could come back, you jumped out of the white dress, well it was once white. You threw over the clothings and he was right, they definitely were too big for you. But you didn't mind because now you wouldn't be nearly naked in front of these men.
You entered the deck and searched for Jeongin. He stood behind the steering wheel and guided the ship. You decided that you shouldn't interrupt him now and walked around the deck. You sat down at the front so that you could see into the ocean. Sighning, you leaned forward on the railing. The sun slowly went down and nearly kissed the ocean while the sky was painted into a beautiful orange-red.
You always loved to be on the sea. Often, you accompanied your father on his trips. He taught you much about ships and sometimes you steered it.
"Hey! I'm Felix!" a deep voice behind you exclaimed. You flinched and turned your head to see a brown haired boy with a friendly smile.
"Hey. I'm Y/n" you replied.
"First time on the sea?" He asked and sat himself down beside you. The friendly smile never left his lips.
"No, my father was a sailesman. He used to take me with him" you explained.
"That's awesome. I'm sure he is on his way to you"
A sad smile danced over your face. You would never see him again. Not in this lifetime.
"Yeah, maybe" you answered with a low voice. You didn't want to tell him that you were the only one left. And you still didn't know why they saved you.
"Come, Felix! You wanted to help me prepare dinner!" A voice exclaimed and Felix shot up.
He bowed to you and quickly left.
...
Only one hour later, Jeongin broke you out of your daydreaming and led you to something that looked like a cooking hob. And honestly, you didn't know what to expect. Your father told you that most of the pirates eat mostly rusk on long journeys and that sometimes worms are in that rusk.
Jeongin saw your sceptical face and nudged you forward.
"Come. I won't poison you"
He took a bowl from Felix and gave it to you. It was filled with some bread and dried meat but no worms in sight at all. You gave him a thankful smile and ate your meal. After eating nothing for so long, you would probably eat everything that they would present you. You sat on a barrel next to Jeongin and shoveled the food into your mouth.
And again you asked yourself why they rescued you. Now they have another hungry person on the ship that isn't even in the crew.
With a full stomach, you leaned back and gave the bowl back to Felix. For a short time, you closed your eyes.
But you shot up when you felt a hand on you lower back. You relaxed when you saw that it was just the captain.
"Come, let's go to bed" he whispered and you followed him to the captain's room. He opened the door for you and let you in. Clueless, you stand in the middle of the room. There was only one bed and just because he seemed okay you couldn't be sure. You knew him for only less than a day.
"Little bird, relax. I'm gonna sleep outside with my crew." He chuckled and was already turning away when you catched the sleeve of his jacket.
You felt bad that you chased him out of his own bed. And if you were honest, you could just hold some distance.
"You can stay. You don't need to sleep outside"
A toothy smile lightened his face and his eyes crinkled. "If you say so, little bird"
He took off his jacket and boots and got into the bed. You took a deep breath, layed next to him with your back facing him. He placed the blanket over your small frame and whispered a good night.
...
Days passed and you still didn't know why they rescued you. But everyone on this ship seemed kind. Some of them hid their friendly nature behind a wall of coldness but if you look closer, you can see the bubbly version of them shining through. Felix turned to a friend within just a few days due to his sunny and helpful personality.
And Jeongin. Still, the captain and you shared one bed at night. And you slept with your back facing him every night even though you usually woke up with your face buried into his chest or his hands circled around your waist. It was awkward to say at least. But luckily he hadn't said anything.
Now, it was already night and most of the crew were already asleep or played a card game under the deck.
You had accompanied them for a while but now, you searched for the captain. You found him on the control deck. Slowly you approached him.
"What are you doing here, little bird?" He asked. You leaned on the railing. "I could ask you the same"
He chuckled and ran his hands over the wood of the railing.
"Jeongin, why did you save me? You could've left me there. You didn't know me at all"
"Because you reminded me of someone. My mom. My father rescued her when she was held captive by sailesmen."
"Thank you. Thank you for saving me" you whispered and layed your hand on his arm.
"I would do it all over again, little bird." He said and his eyes travelled around your face. The moon turned his hair into a silver shade and his dark eyes sparkled.
Sleepy, you leaned your head on his shoulder and you felt his fingers dance over your hand, drawing circles and figures.
That was the last thing you remembered before sleep took over. In the morning, you woke up in bed with the sun on your face. You must've been really tired to sleep so long. The place next to you was cold. Jeongin must be gone a while now.
You entered the deck and you already knew where you would find the captain. He stood behind the ship's steering wheel. On the horizon, you could spot the first houses.
"Are we going on land?" You asked Jeongin and stood beside him.
He just nodded and grabbed the wheel tighter. You pinched your eyes together to get a better image of the approaching town. You definitely knew that town. It was your hometown.
"Wait, what are we doing here?"
"I'm bringing you home and we need some errands" he said and turned his face away from you. He was definitely not up to a conversation now, so you just let it slide. Was he getting rid of you? The thought never crossed your mind that he doesn't want you on the ship. Stupid.
Why should he want you here? It's not that you are a big help either. During the past days, you helped Felix with preparing meals for the crew. But after yesterday night you thought that something had changed.
You couldn't force him to let you stay.
...
Two hours later, you walked down the beam to the mainland followed by Jeongin.
"That's it, then" he said, his hands in the pockets of his jacket and the big hat covered most of his face.
"Yeah, thank you Jeongin" you whispered.
He bid you goodbye and you turned around. You didn't want to see him standing there.
You followed the well-known path to your house. The door wasn't locked so you entered. The house was nearly empty. The most things were stolen and just the significant blood stain on the floor reminded that your father was murdered here only days ago. Luckily, his body wasn't here anymore. That would be cruel and you wouldn't know if you would forget that picture ever again.
Then, you made your way to the cemetery. You walked through the aisles and searched for his name.
Pretty fast you found the grey gravestone with his name chiseled into. You kneeled beside it and let your hand slide over the uneven stone. You never thought that your life would take such a drastic twist.
After your father died, nothing held you here anymore. The thought of staying here, living here in happiness made you sick. The short journey on Jeongin's ship made you forget. You were your true self there and not only that.
You liked Jeongin. As a captain and person. He saved you even though he didn't know you. And within that short time, you developed feelings for him. Sadly, you won't get to tell him that.
But maybe it wasn't too late. He said that they needed some errands before going back to the sea. You placed a kiss on the gravestone and ran through the city. You bumped into so many people but you didn't mind. You prayed that they were still there. It felt like your father's spirit led you.
At the harbour, you searched for the big ship and you were relieved. They seemed to bring the errands on the ship right now. Jeongin stood in front of it and looked through the boxes.
When he heard your footsteps, he looked up and he was surprised.
"Y/n. What are you doing here?" He asked and walked towards you. You needed a second to catch your breath.
"I want to go with you"
"What?"
"Jeongin, being on your ship made me realise that I don't want to live a boring life. I want to stay. On the ship. With you." You brushed your hair back and took another step to him.
His eyes travelled to your lips and he leaned in.
With both hands, he grabbed your face and pressed his lips on yours. The kiss was hard, full of emotions and desire. But it was all you ever wanted. You wanted to be with him. Your pirate and the sea. That's all you ever needed.

Jeongin has been here long enough to know how it works.
Raid another town, board another ship. Threaten until some gold ends up in your pocket, and then take the rest. Kill those that would rather visit the depths of the sea than give up their treasures. Don't stray too far from the crew, or else he would be next.
He wasn't like this, before they had dragged him onto the ship, proclaiming some nonsense about needing a new mate. He was softer then, before the floor he slept on became coated with his own blood, before a harsh rope tied around his wrists kept him so still.
Before they taught him all they knew, even if he never wanted to learn.
"Innie-yah!" A voice shouts from across the village, bouncing between the buildings in a way that makes Jeongin cringe. Such a loud sound could only ever be Changbin, though the knowledge of who it is doesn't make him feel any better about being called upon.
The name Changbin uses stems from the nickname they've given him, another way to show that they held all the power when it came to his own freedom.
A scream echoes from outside, shrill and strained - a warning. Jeongin quickly finishes picking through the bedroom, swiping a few more pieces of jewelry before ducking back through the doorway and making his way to the front of the house.
The front door is crooked on its hinges as he pushes it out of the way, wincing at the way it creaks loudly in return. He turns his head to avoid the stares of the helpless family that stand lined up on the outside wall of their home, some stunned silent, others trying to muffle cries. The ones who had spit threats of violence had already been taken care of by Lee Know, in ways Jeongin was all too familiar with.
A shiver slips down his spine at the very thought.
"There you are," Changbin sneers from across the way.
He's always so loud, always makes Jeongin miss the silence he used to have while sitting down at the beach, scribbling half stories and drawings during the time he wasn't caring for everybody else.
The middle of the village is marked by a bell that hangs low over a well, tattered rope swinging back and forth from the wind that drags in from the sea. The crew is gathered around it in various states, but it's Changbin who marches towards Jeongin and meets him halfway there, rough hand digging into his collar and pulling. Jeongin stumbles forwards, face to face with someone who grins in the face of danger like it's somebody else's problem.
"Find your worth?" he asks mockingly, eyeing him up and down in distain. Changbin has always hated him in a way the others didn't, before they molded him, after, it didn't matter. The hatred persisted.
Jeongin nods silently, one hand slipping into his pocket and removing what he had been able to gather before holding it up so that the other could see.
Changbin's lips curl into a knowing smile as he picks out rings and handcrafted bracelets littered with shining gems, releasing Jeongin without another glance. "Hannie taught you well," he calls over his shoulder as he turns away, leaving Jeongin standing alone with a raspy chuckle.
"You thought he wouldn't?" Lee Know questions, tone deceivingly calm.
When Jeongin looks over, he is leaning against the well, arms crossed, Han sitting beside him close enough that their sides are touching. There's something about those two that Jeongin is sure he's missing, the way they never leave each other's side. The way Han doesn't flinch when Lee Know slumps against him in a hug, blood sticking to his clothes. The way no one else dares to bother them, when they're below deck.
"No," Changbin says with a roll of his eyes, "I just thought the rat wouldn't be smart enough to learn."
There's some huffs of laughter. Smirks. Jeongin diverts his eyes, wanting nothing more than to disappear. He would willingly jump into the sea if he could, swim as far as his arms would allow. Dying to whatever was out there surely had to be better than forever being trapped here with pirates like these.
"Enough with this." Chan spits from the other side of the well. He saunters towards Jeongin with an nonchalance he has never been able to figure out, and grabs at his chin with a calloused hand, forcing him to look up. "Did you do what was asked of you?"
Jeongin freezes under his gaze.
One moment passes, and then two.
Chan's grip grows tighter. Painful. "Hm?" he asks, eyes flicking across his face. Trying to read what Jeongin can't bring himself to say, because no, of course he didn't...kill that woman for her necklace, or her ring.
How could he?
There were plenty of other shiny things prime for the taking without the need to harm anyone. There was an abundance of children here, like Jeongin's own shore town had back when he had been taken. Stolen. Whatever word fit best for being torn away from everything and anything someone had ever known.
"I found more in the house," he finally says, forcing the words from where they hide deep within his chest. Chan's eyes lock with his, head titling. "There's - There was no need to do any of that, when they had plenty hidden away."
His heart is pounding, all too suddenly. Desperation claws at him.
They're all unpredictable, he knows they all are; half a moment's notice and a row of people could be dead, others wounded, laughter echoing. Out of the corner of his eye, he can see Seungmin and Hyunjin carrying crates full of gold back to the ship. Changbin is standing on Lee Know's other side, burly arms crossed over his chest, while Yongbok lingers just out of sight, keeping an eye on those that called this place home.
"Innie, Innie, Innie, Innie," Chan tuts, slowing shaking his head. He inches closer, eyes turning dark. "Was it not enough?" he hisses, slowly punctuating every word. "I thought Lee Know shed enough of your blood for you to - "
"I - I learned," Jeongin stutters, stumbling back half a step in pure terror as soon as Chan releases him. "I swear I learned, I - I don't need to - I - "
"Careful, Chan," Lee Know calls. "I'd rather not have to find another one so soon."
"But I like him," Han interjects sadly.
"Soft heart," Changbin mutters. "Going to get us killed one day, with that."
Chan's sword lifts, silencing them all as Jeongin stares in pure terror.
And then he swings.

“Grab their treasure. We’ll sink the ship after.” Y/n sauntered off as she put her pistol back on her belt, making her way back to her ship.
She thought by now everyone knew these were her waters. She’d been on land and heard what people said about her. They never did anything nice, to say the least.
Her crew at least respected her enough to not get on her bad side. They gathered the remaining crew that she hadn’t shot after taking out their captain.
“Captain!” One of her crewmates called, making her turn around
“What?” She questioned.
“They got a siren,” He said.
“Bring him aboard.” Y/n smiled
Sirens were somewhat rare, but also natural enemies to pirates. Consistently fighting over the sea. The majority just hid deep in the blue, similar to their less violent cousins—mermaids. Seeing one was rare. Catching one was unheard of.
Y/n fixed herself a drink as her crew brought their bounty aboard. The first they brought on was the fish boy. Setting him on some crates from previous ship raids. Y/n walked back up to the deck and saw the boy. Noticing they had left him nude after he dried out, gagged him, and tied him up.
“Take their clothing! The siren needs it more than them!” Y/n called to her crew as she walked over to the boy.
Y/n set her glass on the crate next to him as he eyed her suspiciously. Then removed the tied cloth gag from his mouth. “Do you have a name?” she asked, stepping back and giving him space.
He hesitated for a moment, “Jeongin…” he finally said as a crew mate ran over and gave the captain a sack of clothes before running back to the other ship
“I’m Y/n,” she told him as she grabbed her knife and walked back to him.
Jeongin flinched a bit as the blade came close to him. “I’m not making you a fillet, don’t worry,” Y/n told him as she started cutting his ropes.
“You’re a pirate. I should worry.”
“You haven’t given me a reason to kill you like they did,” Y/n mentioned the crew that had previously captured him, “How’d you get caught?”
“Was hunting and got trapped in their net. Couldn’t tell you how long I was with them. Just know I’m too far from home.”
“Sorry to hear that. Should be more careful.”
“Sound like my friends.” Joengin laughed as she got his wrist free, “How do you know I won’t run back to the sea?”
“Do you know how to use your legs?” Y/n asked, kneeling down to cut the rope around his ankles
“...No.”
“Only ever been in the ocean?”
“Yeah. Don’t go on land much.”
Y/n nodded as the rope fell away. Y/n stood and put away the blade before grabbing a shirt and pair of pants for the siren. Tossing them over to him and finding a pair of shoes for him. Jeongin threw the shirt on over his head and just stared at the pants, trying to figure them out.
“Need help?” Y/n asked
Jeongin looked up at her as she set a pair of boots down next to him. “Would you mind?”
Y/n took the pants and helped him put them on his legs. Jeongin watched her carefully, learning how to do it so he didn’t have to ask her again.
“Jump down,” Y/n told him.
Jeongin slid off the crate and almost fell over. Quickly grabbing the crate behind him. Y/n slid the fabric the rest of the way up before closing it. “There.”
“Thanks,” Jeongin said as he pulled himself back up onto the crate. Y/n helped him with the boots before grabbing her drink again and taking a sip. The two watched the crew members load her ship before pushing off from them.
Setting fire to the wooden ship as they left. Letting it burn and crumble into the sea. The crew moved the cache below deck for her to look over later. Jeongin hadn’t noticed just how much was below deck with him until they were moving everything. He’d learn over the next month just how much the crew would manage to take.
He’d so recognized a lot of the ships she would capsize. They’d sail by his pod's home cave all the time. Part of him was a little happy with what she was doing. Fewer issues for them later on.
During the month he was with the crew, he learned how to walk thanks to Y/n. She’d done a lot to help him on the ship despite the long history between the two species.
During the day the ship was busy and everyone was running around. Jeongin did his best to stay out of the way during the day. Mainly stayed below deck and came out at night. Sat and watched the sea drift by.
“No one stopping you from leaving.” Y/n’s voice came as he was sat on the railing
“I know,” Jeongin said as she came to stand next to him.
The two had become somewhat friends over the month. Having friendly conversations here and there. Y/n never made him feel like a prisoner on the ships. Always giving him opportunities to leave. Even as the months went on.
Friendly night conversations turned into him coming above deck and talking with her when she had downtime. Even carrying into the night they’d keep talking about everything. From sea to land.
One particular night seemed to change the course of their relationship. Both sitting on a rock in a cave near the water. The ship had docked on an island to explore the place and regather some food and supplies. Everyone else had turned in for the night. Y/n didn’t find the siren so she went looking for him, finding him with his tail out in the cave.
The conversation led to the two talking well into the night
“Didn't know sirens had a breeding season,” Y/n said
“Every spring,” Jeongin told her
“You know you are more than welcome to leave here. You can go be with your friends during the season if it makes it easier for you?”
“I know. Don’t think I want to though.”
“Why not?”
“As odd as it sounds, I think I’ve grown attached to you.”
Both of them locked eyes for a moment. Letting the words hang in the air before he leaned forward. Pressing his lips onto hers. Y/n, far too easily, responded to the kiss. The siren boy had a certain charm about him. It was easy to give in to him as he grabbed the side of her face and leaned her head back to deepen the kiss. Pushing her down onto the rock underneath as Y/n moaned into the kiss, arching towards him.
Jeongin laid his other hand on the rock as he slipped his tongue inside her mouth. Y/n let another moan into his mouth and grabbed hold of his wrists. Her hips grinding themselves against his tail.
“Tell me to stop captain,” Jeongin told her between kisses
“No,” Y/n told him, “Don’t. Don't stop.”
“Don’t say I didn’t try,” Jeongin warned her
Jeongin pushed her shirt up over her chest, dipping his head down to kiss the top of her breasts. Y/n flung her shirt off her body before lacing her fingers in his wet hair. The siren all but tore her bra off of her and wrapped his lips around her nipples. Y/n tugged at his hair as his hands moved down to the waistband of her pants.
Y/n lifted her hips and Jeongin pulled the fabric down and tossed them somewhere. She had already set her boots aside to dip her feet in the water while they were talking. Jeongin had her almost completely at his mercy.
He slid himself down her body, his own body slipping back into the water, till he was face to face with her cunt. He pulled her closer to the edge, skin getting roughed up from the jagged rock as he did so. Y/n let out a little moan as he placed her legs over his shoulder. Jeongin glanced up at her as he licked between her folds. Not easing into it at all.
“Jeongin!” Y/n gasped, her voice echoing off the walls of the cave
The male hummed and the noise reverberated through her body. Her legs tightened around his head on instinct. Jeongin grabbed her thighs and spread them open for him as he continued eating her out. Not once letting up as his tongue slipped inside of her.
Her moans bounced off the walls of the cave along with the wet noise coming from him eating her pussy. Y/n caught a glance of his eyes— those siren eyes that could kill. Then he started humming as his lips wrapped around her clit. At first, it seemed like nothing but stimulation, and then everything in her mind went blank.
“In…” Y/n called
He kept humming the tune till her body convulsed and her orgasm washed over her. Her high never felt as intense as it had then in the past. She could barely process the siren cleaning her out and that he had stopped humming his tune. The coolness of the water he dragged her into did nothing but make her arch into him.
Jeongin smiled as he leaned in and kissed her neck. “Thought you’d be more guarded against a siren, captain.”
Y/n laid her head back against the rock as he marked up her neck and chest. He wrapped her legs around his hips, “Not a single thought behind those eyes, huh?”
He had her in a trance from his song. The strong-headed captain he had grown attached to was now at his total mercy. His webbed hands groped her breasts.
“Innie,” Y/n whined as she tilted her head forward
“I’ve got you. Gonna let Innie relieve himself in you?”
The tip of his dick peeked out from a slit in his tail. Swimming its way to her entrance, rubbing itself along her folds. “Please In…”
“Should keep you like this, let your crew see just how much of a brain-dead whore you are?” He growled in her ear and his cock breached her entrance. Pushing itself into her. Y/n grabbed onto his arms in her cloudy gaze. Everything looked almost blurry if it wasn’t Jeongin. Tales of a siren’s voice didn’t give an accurate description of how it affected humans— probably because most people who had encountered a siren never came back to tell the true tale.
Jeongins cock seemingly had a mind of its own. His hips didn’t move but she could feel his cock thrusting up into her rapidly. Y/n gripped his arms tightly as he leaned back and just watched her.
The water barely moved around the save for his tail swaying underneath to keep them afloat. He tightened his hold on her breasts before moving them down to her hips. Grinding her clit against the scales of his tail, making her clench around him.
His cock thrusted in faster the tighter she got. Her walls pulsed around him with every thrust till he had her cumming on his cock. Body shaking against the rock and disturbing the water around them.
Jeongin kept her moving against his scales. Keeping her stimulated even when she whined it was too much. He didn't pay mind as he twitched inside of her before releasing his seed into the pirate.
Y/n whined as she felt his warmth fill her as he pulled her to him, hand wrapping around her neck. “Spend all spring cumming inside of you captain.”

please could we see some cute fun moments with the members doing karaoke or something? Maybe like insp by when Jeongin sang heartbeat by 2pm because that's a song we've seen him do at karaoke a few times. Maybe there's a song sage always picks too? Or like she hits a high note in a song they haven't heard her do before so they're all proud of her and praise her or something? :)
a/n : this is soooo long ago so my apologies for just now getting to this. im noticing just how busy i get because of how much i don’t post. i hope you missed the introverted, mysterious woman that is sage 🖤
family time | s.mj + skz • drabble
Sage is not much of a singer. Ironic, right? She just prefers to rap more. It was until tonight when she realized how good she was. They were recording tonight for a skz-code episode at an arcade. One of Sage’s favorite places. She seriously felt like a little kid in a candy shop. In true fashion, they each received their own missions this episode. Can you guess Sage’s mission? It was “Do a high note with the karaoke machine.”
“That’s so random.” Sage laughed into the camera. “Ah, I don’t do high notes at all, really. Stay~ Please don’t be disappointed if I fail~” Sage sent a kiss to the camera before departing to go on her way.
She hit a few claw machines first, winning a few plushies. (thanks to her bf hyunjin) She was over the moon happy! Now was time for her mission. Once she realized the karaoke booth was empty, she walked in, waving at the small cameras inside. She took a minute deciding what song to pick. While she was, Felix came to see what Sage was up to.
“You’re gonna sing? You never do karaoke.” Felix pointed out from behind her. “No Yongbok, i’m paying my taxes right now. I’m obviously not gonna sing.” She retorted with a smile, earning a soft punch from Felix. That’s just how they play around.
Finally, a song was picked. Boca by Dreamcatcher. Just like how Seungmin loves Day6, Sage is in love with Dreamcatcher.
Just as she starts the song, It’s like a siren attracting pirates because Minho whips his head around to the beautiful vocals that are Sage’s and he immediately made his way over to her. “Ah Miju!! Do well!!” which startled Sage a bit while singing, causing her to jump a bit and mess up a note, followed by a small laugh by herself and Felix.
So far, so good. The group around her got bigger, more members crowding around Sage. As it got close to the end of the song, Sage got slightly nervous because that’s where the high note was. But oh we’re the members in awe. She hit those notes with such elegance and perfection, realizing a talent she didn’t know she had. As the song closed out, all the members cheered at her new talent while Sage stood there dumbfounded. She couldn’t believe herself. Soon that expression formed into a smile, her members giving her praise.
“Miju, you did do good!!” Chan chimed.
“I thought you were good for nothing, but still, good job!” Seungmin laughed, Sage turning around to sock him right in the mouth causing Seungmin to run away.
She wouldn’t trade these boys for anything else in the world…. well if you handed her a calico critters playset, she’ll happily give them away!

Kinktober Day Twenty-One: Tentacles - Minho/Jeongin
Tags: Pirates, sea monsters, dom/sub undertones, top!Minho, bottom!Jeongin, oviposition, belly bulge, come inflation(?), mating, breeding, crying during sex, double penetration CW: Brief description of drowning (no one actually drowns!)
AO3 Link
When Jeongin was a child, his mother had always warned him not to go near the sea. “It’s too dangerous, Jeongin!” she would always say. “There are pirates and thieves and terrible storms and evil sea monsters. I don’t want you to get taken away from me.” Her warnings seemed to do little in changing the course of his life though. It had been years since Jeongin had seen her and he was a faithful member on board the pirate ship Stray Compass, led by the aptly named king of the sea, Bang Chan. Her warning against pirates now seemed only as a foreshadow of Jeongin’s future when he looked back on it.
He had long since stopped being afraid of sea monsters. He was curious about them, sometimes too curious, as Chan often warned him, but at the end of the day he lived in unbelief despite curiosity. Strange things in the water? Hallucinations from sleep deprivation. Huge waves? The storms he had been warned about. The storms were the only things that scared him now. Those were what could really take lives out on the sea.
He had always done his best to heed his mother’s warnings when it came to the sea. They were his captain’s and his crew mates’ warnings as well. But things couldn’t always go the way they were planned.
It was a huge storm and Jeongin was trying to bring down the sails so that the wind wouldn’t tear them or push them over. The rain was pouring down, soaking him to the bone, and the wood was wet. He could hear his crew mates shouting down below but couldn’t make out a word they were saying above the thundering rain and howling wind.
Then, a wave crashed over the ship. It tilted and Jeongin gasped as his foot slipped. And then he was falling. Falling, falling, the wind and rain rushing around him as he plummeted to the raging sea. In that moment all the warnings of his past came back to haunt him and as he screamed for someone to save him, to catch him, he wished he had listened.
The water was sharper than any knife Jeongin had had the misfortune of getting stabbed with. His first instinct was to gasp, but instead of air filling his lungs, water rushed in instead. The waves were too strong for him to find the surface and quickly he realized he was sinking. Sinking deeper into the deep, dark depths of the sea as he thrashed around to find a way back up.
As he felt the strength in his limbs giving out and head going fuzzy, something wrapped around his leg. He barely had any time to register the feeling before something was pushing past his lips and into his mouth. He would have tried to fight it but his body had no fight left. Whatever it was filled Jeongin’s mouth with something sticky and the substance traveled down his throat and into his lungs. The substance coated the insides of his lungs and figured that this was his moment to die, this was how he would end–eaten by one of those sea creatures he had never fully believed in but almost wished were real–then out of nowhere, the burning in his lungs stopped.
He sucked in a sharp breath and instead of feeling like he was breathing in molten lava, his lungs expanded, his head got less fuzzy, and the tingling in his limbs subsided. He was breathing again despite being surrounded by water. He should have been dead.
He didn’t have enough time to think about how he was breathing underwater before whatever had wrapped around his leg and pushed into his mouth wrapped also around his torso and his arms. There were more than two and they suctioned to Jeongin’s skin. He couldn’t pull away even if he tried. Then he began to move and he realized he was being pulled through the water. This thing is trying to kill me. It's going to drag me to the depths and eat me, he thought in a panic. The water rushing around him was almost painful as he was dragged through it at an inhuman speed. The panic that had settled into his bones when he realized he was drowning had returned.
Thankfully, to his great relief and surprise, whatever this thing was, was not dragging him deeper. After what seemed like ages, Jeongin suddenly started to see faint light filling the water. He could make out the outline of the creature now and–was that a man with tentacles?
He didn’t have to ask for long because suddenly he was being tossed up onto shore and he hit the ground with a loud thud. The sand dug into his skin and he groaned and then the burning in his lungs was back. He started coughing and pushed himself up onto his hands and knees as all the water trapped inside him spilled out. “Fuck,” he croaked after the coughing fit left him, his throat burned raw. “What the hell was that…”
His question was answered quickly as he looked up and looked around and his eyes landed on a man–not a man. It was some sort of creature, one that had a human face (arguably the most pretty face Jeongin had ever seen), and a human body–except for the purple color of his arms and legs and the fucking tentacles that protruded from his torso.
Jeongin scrambled back, the sand sticking to his wet skin. “What–what are you?” he asked, voice shaking. The creature tilted his head and began walking towards Jeongin, tentacles raised in the air so they didn’t drag on the ground.
“I’m Minho,” the creature responded and Jeongin’s eyes nearly bugged out of his head. He could speak too? He smiled at Jeongin’s reaction and another shock of fear stabbed Jeongin’s chest when he saw that its teeth were sharp. All of them. “Ah you can understand me! Good, it worked then.”
What fucking worked???
Jeongin realized he said that out loud when the creature made some sort of laugh that probably would have been charming to Jeongin if he weren’t scared out of his mind. “What I gave you to help you breathe under the water. It also allows humans to understand us.”
“Oh…” Realization dawned on Jeongin. “You saved me.”
“I did, yes. I can’t let a perfectly good human just go to waste like that! Especially when I was right there. I’ve been observing you for a long time. Very pretty human.”
Jeongin’s brain short circuited. Perfectly good human? Observing him for a long time…? Pretty?? “Huh–what I’m sorry I–I’m confused. Why–why were you watching me? What…?”
“Oh! You’d be a perfect mate. That’s why,” Minho stated as if it were the most normal statement in the world. “Very pretty, very strong. You have many people to protect you who seem quite loyal. You’d be perfect to care for my babies.”
Jeongin’s mind was reeling. “Babies?” he exclaimed. “I can’t have children, I’m a man! And I just met you! I don’t–what?”
Minho stepped closer and one of his tentacles slithered up Jeongin’s leg. Jeongin shivered and something sparked in his stomach and–wait what the fuck? Another tentacle came to wrap around his waist and he wanted to pull away, he really did. But he didn’t. The creature was ridiculously handsome and there was something alluring about him, but maybe he had put something in whatever substance he’d given him to make him breathe.
“Silly, you wouldn’t be having the children. I’d put my eggs inside you. You’d incubate them for me. And I saved your life, right? I save your life, you become my mate!”
Jeongin wasn’t sure how he had reached that conclusion but he was ready to wake up from this dream. It wasn’t a nightmare, at least not now. Because even though he was highly weirded out and still a little scared, he wasn’t terrified. What had that creature done to him? “I don’t–that’s not how it works. You can’t just–mate someone out of nowhere!” How would that even work? Did he have a weird dick that he would push the eggs into him with? Would he use his tentacles? They’d have to go so deep–oh. Jeongin swallowed and wet his lips. There was no way he was getting hard right now.
Minho pouted and the tentacle wrapped around his waist began to slide underneath his soaked shirt. Another shiver ran through Jeongin’s body and his nipples began to harden. “But it’s not out of nowhere. I told you I’ve been watching you for a long time. I know you’d be perfect! Please? I’ve never been able to find a mate…My eggs always have to die.” He looked so sad suddenly that Jeongin’s heart clenched. Fuck. He swallowed as he looked down at the tentacles going over his body. They felt good. He certainly wasn’t entirely against the whole thing, judging by how his pants were tented with the outline of his cock.
Fuck, this was insane.
“I…I don’t know…” Jeongin trailed off. His mother’s warnings flashed in his head. Beware of sea creatures.
He found he didn’t really want to listen anymore.
“Alright,” he said, swallowing thickly. His chest prickled with fear but another part of him was curious. So curious, like Chan always warned him against. Why were people in his life always giving him warnings? Didn’t they know that only made his desires more intense? “I can be your mate.”
A grin spread across Minho’s face and he licked his lips. “I was hoping you’d say that.”
Another tentacle shot out to join the other one under Jeongin’s shirt and together they both pulled it up. Jeongin lifted his arms as his shirt was tugged off and tossed somewhere on the sand. One of the tentacles traveled up to his chest and a slick substance followed behind it. The tentacle stopped at his chest and then one of the cups on the underside suctioned to his nipple and Jeongin moaned. “Shit!” he gasped, back arching. Minho was still smiling at him and he tilted his head at Jeongin’s reaction.
“Pretty,” he mumbled.
Another pair of tentacles joined together below Jeongin’s waist and began working to get his pants off. How many did he have? They seemed to be very tactile because it didn’t take them long to get his pants all the way off. Jeongin’s cock bobbed up and slapped against his stomach and Minho licked his lips as he looked down at it curiously. “Hmm yours looks different…pretty.” Jeongin didn’t have time to question what he met because then one of his tentacles was wrapping around his cock. Jeongin let out a strangled moan.
“Ohhh my gods,” Jeongin exclaimed, eyes squeezing shut. The tentacle was slick and wet and sticky and unlike anything Jeongin had ever felt. His entire body felt like a live wire ready to combust. More tentacles made their way over Jeongin’s body, crawling up his sides, suctioning to his thighs, playing with his nipples, wrapping around his throat to prod at his mouth. There were so many sensations it was overwhelming and Jeongin felt like he was going to pass out.
One of Minho’s tentacles made its way up Jeongin’s inner thigh, a trail of purple slick left behind. Then the tip began to prod at his hole and his mouth fell open. At the same time, the tentacle that had been at his mouth shoved its way in and Jeongin’s eyes rolled back. It tasted salty like the ocean but there was also a hint of sweetness that made it intoxicating. He realized he’d tasted it when he’d been under the water.
The tentacle at his hole swirled around it for a second before it began to push inside of him. Jeongin let out a muffled whine around the tentacle in his mouth and spread his legs. The tip of the tentacle was no bigger than two fingers but as it pushed in it got bigger and bigger. Jeongin choked and dug his fingers into the sand.
“I was worried you wouldn’t take me,” Minho said as he pushed his tentacle deeper. Jeongin’s vision went blurry as his hole stretched around the intrusion. “But you’re doing so well.”
The tentacle pushed deeper, deeper, until it brushed against Jeongin’s prostate and he made a guttural sound around the tentacle in his mouth. It continued moving even past that until when Jeongin looked down he could see a slight bulge on his stomach. His head fell back and he took deep breaths in through his nose.
Minho’s eyes locked on the bulge in his tummy and removed the tentacle from his mouth. Jeongin gasped, moans flowing freely as he began to pump the tentacle in and out of him. “So small,” Minho mused. He reached out with his hand and pet over the bump on Jeongin’s stomach. “Gonna look so pretty when I fill you up.”
“Nghhh shit, oh fuck,” Jeongin moaned. Minho was so deep, practically in his stomach. He didn’t even know why he had been against this initially. Any rational thought had left his mind. He just wanted to be filled. Wanted to see his stomach expand as Minho fucked his tentacles into him and filled him with his eggs.
“Such a pretty human,” Minho mumbled. “Truly perfect…” Another tentacle moved to press against his rim and Jeongin gasped, eyes going wide.
“That’s not–that’s not going to fit,” he whimpered, but Minho continued pushing anyway.
“It will fit. I promise,” he reassured. The tip of that tentacle slid past his rim and the stretch burned. Jeongin choked on a moan and his eyes stung with tears. The pain quickly mixed with pleasure so intense Jeongin felt like he was going to fall apart. Minho was very surely breaking him. There was no way he could live normally after this.
It wasn’t long before Jeongin could see the imprint of both tentacles in his stomach. He reached out with a shaky hand and pressed down, felt them move under his palm. “S-so full,” he groaned. He had never been this full in his life.
“You’re going to be fuller soon,” Minho said with an amused grin. Jeongin’s eyes rolled back as Minho began to fuck both tentacles into him, while at the same time he explored Jeongin’s body with the rest of his tentacles. There were marks sucked all over his skin from the suckers on Minho’s tentacles and there were tentacles wrapped around his thighs, his arms, his waist, all holding him in place. His whole body tingled and his stomach burned hot with arousal like he’d never felt. It was so much, so so much.
Without a warning his body spasmed and he orgasmed, his cock twitching weakly as ropes of cum shot over his body. Minho wrapped a tentacle around his cock as he came and Jeongin’s hips jerked away from the overstimulation. The tentacle squeezed, practically milking him through it. “Mm-Minho 's too much,” he hiccuped. At some point the tears had started running freely down his face. Oh gods…
“Shh, pretty human, doing so well. Just gotta get you nice and open to take my eggs,” he mumbled. Jeongin wanted to whine, to cry out that he already was open! Minho was splitting him in two, he was stretched beyond belief. But Minho didn’t wait much longer after that, and all the sudden his tentacles were slithering back out. Jeongin whined pathetically at the loss and his gaping hole clenched around nothing.
“Please…” he whimpered, unsure what he was even asking for. Slick from Minho’s tentacles ran out of his hole and coated his thighs, leaving Jeongin feeling wet and dirty. He’d never particularly liked that feeling but now it was heaven.
“You’ll be a good little thing and take my eggs right?” Minho said, one of the tentacles around Jeongin’s thigh tightening. He nodded his head, too dumb to form a proper response. “Good.”
Jeongin looked down through hooded eyes and his breath hitched at the tentacle that wrapped around Minho’s front. This one was different from the others–wider and shorter, and covered bumped where the other tentacles had been smooth. It registered to Jeongin that this must have been his ovipositor and he was about to be filled with Minho’s eggs. This thought should’ve led to panic, should have led to the initial feelings of apprehension he had. But in the moment he wanted nothing more than what was about to happen.
The tentacles on his thighs spread his legs wider and the tip of the ovipositor slipped past Jeongin’s rim. It was already as big as the two tentacles combined and as it went deeper he felt like the wind got knocked out of them. Minho’s eyebrows were furrowed together and he was biting his lip as he pushed in, the stimulation clearly pleasurable for him as well. Jeongin could hear his heavy breaths and that only made the fire in Jeongin’s stomach burn hotter.
“Fu-uckk,” Jeongin choked, digging his hands deeper into the sand. “S-so–so bi-igg.” He was sure this one would tear him in two. There was no way it could fit. He could feel the bumps from the eggs rubbing along his walls, rubbing against his sensitive prostate, stretching him further. The rest of Minho’s tentacles worked to touch him elsewhere–one jerked his weeping cock while another two played with his nipples. It was mind-numbing. “I can’t, I can’t, it’s too m-much hnngg…” At this point he was practically sobbing, his words coming out more like choked gasps and moans.
Minho smirked and there was a small amount of blood on his lips from where he had bitten them hard. “You can. It’s already in. Look at how your tiny little stomach is full.” He pressed down on Jeongin’s abdomen and his whole body jerked.
“Sh-shit, oh fuck!,” he gasped.
“So pretty,” Minho hummed. He grinned, flashing his sharp teeth and leaned forward to grab Jeongin’s hips. “I’m going to start filling you now.”
Jeongin was too dazed to process what he was saying, but he didn’t need to. He felt it the second it started, the way Minho’s tentacles tightened around his limbs and suctioned to him, and oh, the way his insides felt as Minho began pumping him full. It felt like cum at first, hot and wet, but then the eggs started moving. They spilled inside of him and Jeongin felt them moving along his walls. They stretched his stomach and he watched as Minho literally filled him up. He felt like the breath had been sucked from his lungs and all he could do was moan helplessly.
When Minho deposited the last egg inside him, a large spurt of hot liquid filled his insides alongside and drool ran down Jeongin’s chin. Minho made little groans that were like music to Jeongin’s ears as he finished inside of him and filled his stomach with warmth alongside the warmth of being so full. “There,” Minho mumbled finally, his voice a bit rough. He ran his hand over Jeongin’s stomach and smiled. “Nice and full of my babies now.”
Jeongin looked down at himself and ran his hands over top. “Oh my gods,” he breathed, wetting his lips. “I look–I look–”
“Bred. Mated. My mate,” Minho said happily, a proud smile resting on his face.
Jeongin nodded. He couldn’t believe this had happened. He had mated a sea monster. He knew his life was full of surprises but nothing could have prepared him for this. “Stay away from the sea,” his mother had said. Pirates and thieves, storms, and sea creatures. Every warning disobeyed. Jeongin silently sent a prayer of apology upwards.
“Wh-what–” Jeongin croaked, shocked by how raw his voice sounded. “What do I do now?”
“You stay safe. Take care of yourself,” Minho said, running his hands and his tentacles over the bump of Jeongin’s belly. “Then when the time comes, you’ll push the eggs out and they will hatch. And be our babies.” Minho chirped as he touched his tummy and Jeongin was struck with how cute the happy little sound was.
“Okay…but what about my crew? How do I get back to them?”
“I will bring them to you,” Minho reassured him. “Only you promise they won’t look for me. Or hurt me. Or you.” He frowned deeply. “Humans can be scary.”
Jeongin sighed softly and nodded. He knew that fact well. “Alright, you’ll be safe. They wouldn’t hurt you anyway. Just make sure I get back to them.”
Minho nodded and smiled, showing his fangs again. A little shiver ran down Jeongin’s spine. “Don’t worry. I will. But first, pretty human needs shelter.”
“Jeongin,” he said quickly. “My name’s Jeongin.”
Minho’s smile grew. “Okay. Jeongin needs shelter. Come with me.” So Jeongin gathered his clothes off the ground and dusted the sand off of himself. It felt strange to stand in this state and he was sore and exhausted. And after taking one glance at him, Minho grabbed him with the combined strength of his arms and tentacles and picked him up, carrying him to wherever the best place for shelter would be.

Yongbok is kind, against everything that tells him not to be.
Jeongin doesn't know how to deal with it most days, when the tide is high and Yongbok is the last on deck because he is the one whose gaze tugs Jeongin along when he'd rather do nothing else but sink.
Sometimes he forgets that Yongbok is the same as the rest of them; just another pirate. A thief, a danger. Someone else who went along with whatever Chan decided to do, even if that included turning the ocean red.
Was Yongbok like him once?
Would there be a day where he was forced to do the same?
Jeongin flinches at the rag that presses gently against his eyebrow, attempting to clot the bloodflow. "Sorry," Yongbok says, voice rumbling quietly through the room.
He thinks he's shaking against the crate Changbin had thrown him against hours ago, spitting curses and kicking. The box didn't splinter against the pressure, but he did, squeezing his eyes shut and curling his arms over his head until the door had slammed in his wake.
Another shift of the rag as it swipes downwards, catching the blood dripping from the curve of his nose. Yongbok hums, eyes trying to catch his. "I was once told that scars meant nothing, by someone who had none."
The wall in front of Jeongin is lined with barrels that were never fit to hold rum when they could hold so many other valuable things. Curiosity had gotten the better of him, when he had first been locked down here, confused and scared and picking through things that were far from his. That was the first lesson he learned from Lee Know, and one he still hadn't forgotten.
"Jin overheard," Yongbok continues, unbothered by the blood that's steadily staining his own hands. "I saw him pull his knife. The look in his eyes as he stood up from his ale."
He pauses, and the rag lifts from torn skin.
"I told him that cowards wouldn't know any different, and let Jin slit his throat." Yongbok grabs some wrap from beside him, and begins to layer it against the wound. "The last thing he saw was me as he bled out in the middle of the tavern."
The time it takes Yongbok to finish wrapping his newest scar is silent, save for the sound of Jeongin's sharp inhales whenever he presses harder to make sure the cloth sticks. He doesn't know if it's his heart or his head that pounds as he takes in everything that Yongbok had said, eyes finally flicking away from the wall to meet the other's face.
"You're saying I deserved this?" he asks, tone carefully netural, because he is still them, no matter how much Jeongin wishes he wasn't.
Yongbok sighs, leaning back.
Jeongin's shirt collar is soaked through with blood. He can feel it continue to bubble now, even after the subtle care it's been given. They never waste true supplies on him, but Yongbok always finds a way to sneak something or other for wrapping at the very least, never one to be able to stomach him bleeding, Jeongin's sure.
"No one deserves scars," Yongbok amends quietly, though there's no need for them to whisper when everyone else is lounging above deck, having long forgotten about Jeongin after leaving that village burning on the horizion. "But those that have them learn why they were given."
Something hot and angry stirs in Jeongin's stomach.
"I know my place," he spits, daring to go against the current. "I won't ever be able to forget it. I don't need to nearly lose my eye because I don't want to - " and of course his voice gives out before he can finish, because he doesn't want to even say the words. It's all so violent, and Jeongin hates it. "This isn't where I belong," he finally settles on, steeling his gaze with a defiant set of his jaw.
Yongbok stares at him for a long moment, before climbing to his feet. The planks creak under the shift in weight, and the ship shudders as a wave smashes against the hull. "This isn't where any of us belong," he admits, like he knows more than he should. "But there is no home for us to go back to."
"Because you've burned them all!"
Jeongin doesn't mean to say it aloud, and he doesn't mean for Yongbok to be the one that hears it, but it's already too late to go back. There is no taking anything back, when it's him against a ship full of people that wouldn't hesitate.
Yongbok's hand rests on the door handle, his back facing Jeongin. He takes a long breath, and his shoulders rise with the motion slowly, before returning back to their rightful place.
"You're finally looking like a pirate, Innie-ah," he whispers, and the words hurt him more than any wound ever could.
Yongbok knows it, as he slips through the door, leaving Jeongin alone against the waves.
