FairyLoot is a wonderful UK-based group who make fancy special editions for their monthly boxes. People sign up for FairyLoot and get books picked for them. There are many boxes now, but FairyLoot and Illumicrate are the two biggest and have made a lot more people embrace reading and see books as a special treat. A while back I knew none of this, because I was staying away from publishing, working with IP books (very different branch of publishing) and training for a different job. But then I did a catch-up call with my frien. She talked about FairyLoot. I did not understand her and thought maybe the deadlines had got on top of her and she believed fairies had looted her manuscript.

I wrote a letter for them as well, to be bound in with the book. But the bonus content is an extra adventure or point of view you didn’t get to see in the main book. FairyLoot picks what they think their readers might like most.

I really like epistolary novels, where the action is told though letters, such as Jane Austen’s Lady Susan and Amal El Mohtar and Max Gladstone’s This Is How You Lose The Time War. So I thought it would be fun to do a story through letters!

Obviously I then had a moment of dark self-doubt.

Sarah: O my god why did they pick this nobody’s going to like him what shall I do! Holly: When I was writing Cardan’s letters you said ‘epistolary is so fun, you said, this is a piece of cake, you said, get in loser we’re writing romantically sinister letters, you said…’

Sarah: my Vision is a romantic The Screwtape Letters. Holly: … oh dear. Okay. Get in loser we’re writing romantically sinister letters.

And so with a lil help from my kind frien, I wrote Letters to My Lady From the Abyss, which is an epistolary short story with a POV we don’t get in book 1 and an adventure we don’t get to see. But I did write it, as you see, for FairyLoot so it belongs to them and it’s up to them. I think I might get it back in a year and then I’ll put it up on my website. I will let you know!

I was wondering what it was about ymn that piqued your interest in them? As someone's who's been an army since late 2015, ymn was one of the big ships from debut til 2016-mid 2017 ish I'd say.

I feel like its pretty rare to find new ymn shippers post 2017.

Hi anon! This is a fun ask because I’m always curious to find out when/how/why people became drawn to yoonmin, and I’m also interested in the “history of the ship.” Looking back at old posts, it does seem like they were a popular pair early on.

Yes, I became a fan of the group in 2020. I don’t remember the exact date/month, just that it was post-Dynamite, but before BE.

Prior to that, I’d never shipped anyone…not real people, not fictional characters. So, it’s not like I was on the lookout for a ship. I first noticed yoonmin during Be-hind Story (known in my mind as the Jimin raspberry sweater day). I thought their dynamic was so unique. I felt like Jimin was finding excuses for physical contact with Yoongi (for instance, shaking his hand and then being hesitant to let go).

Meanwhile, Yoongi seemed like he wasn’t sure how to react. He likes affection, but also values his personal space. We’ve seen him avoid contact from other members before if he feels like he wants his space. In fact, we’ve seen this from various pairs. Sometimes they just aren’t in the mood to snuggle. But with Jimin, Yoongi didn’t avoid or reject. He just seemed hesitant to reciprocate. And also…he kept teasing Jimin, praising Jimin…which told me that he didn’t mind Jimin’s attention. He just didn’t seem like he was sure what to do with it. 😉 (I know a lot of this is speculation. This was just my hot take at the time.)

Anyway, their dynamic interested me, so I started looking back at old yoonmin moments. I’d say the first three moments that made me think of them in a romantic context were Yoongi’s words about Jimin during the butterfly exhibition (2015), the birthday live “you know, I know” (2016), and their red carpet interview from the AMAs (2017). That was the combination that took them from unique to “oh! maybe there’s something more happening here” in my mind.

What solidified things for me was the number of times they’ve talked about hanging out off-camera/off-stage without the other members. Sushi dates (2015 and 2023, that we know of), Jimin meeting Holly the puppy, late night conversations, birthday letters that we never got to see, the Never Mind tattoo, “drinking buddies,” working out together, shoulder rehab, frequent phone calls…it just seems obvious (to me, in my opinion) that there is a lot more going on there than what we see in content.

Anyway, I hope that answers your question! I’d be curious to know if you consider yourself a yoonminer and if so which moments first caught your eye.

Yoongi was messing around with the puppys, Holly on his stomach and Nala snuggled beside his head, when he heard the knocking on his door. He smiled, knowing who it was from the gentle way she knocked. Sure enough, Yoonmi’s head poked through the door with a little smile on her face.

“Oppa, I brought food,” she told him. “Let me just bring the puppies out first.”

She set the dishes down on Yoongi’s desk then proceeded to take the dogs from his bed and carry them out to Jungkook.

Yoongi watched with a fond smile. He could take care of himself well enough. He was 28 for god’s sake, a fully grown man, but Yoonmi still insisted on taking care of him. A way to try and repay you for raising me, he remembered she had said. Not that she had to, he loved watching her grow up into the woman she is today.

He was brought out of his thoughts by her small figure entering the room and quickly shutting the door behind her, trying not to slam it. She smiled at him then skipped up to his bed.

“You did well on the AMAs today,” she joked while settling next to him with the dishes in hand.

“It’s like I never got my surgery,” he played along while sitting up. Yoonmi gently helped him up against the bed frame.

“You know I’m capable of sitting up myself, right?”

“You’re struggling with one arm.”

Yoongi shook his head with a chuckle. He silently watched her while she animatedly talked about how the fans reacted to their album while she helped feed him. Being the assistant music director with Namjoon, she was more nervous about how the public world receive it. Her worry about that is probably one of the few reasons he let’s her get away with feeding him. (If it were any other member, he’d just take the spoon and eat on his own) Thankfully, the album was received well and getting loads of positive responses.

Yoongi payed attention as she excitedly went on and on about the video edits she saw all over twitter. He loved seeing her this excited. A little part of him was a little disappointed that the world doesn’t see this side of her as much, but he was for the most part glad that they got to keep this excitable kiddy side of her to themselves.

“Oppa, I’m not making you uncomfortable, am I?” she asked, genuine caution in her eyes as if she were ready to step back the moment he said yes.

“Not at all, Princess,” Yoongi reassured her. “I love hearing your stories.”

The smile that grew on her face after that reminded Yoongi of the happiness he worked so hard to help her attain. One thought echoed in his mind.

It was a battle worth fighting.

Hamburg’ta geçen yıllar sonrası Liverpol’a döndüklerinde grubun 1967’de ölene dek menajeri olacak Brian Epstein ile karşılaşırlar. Kendisi grubun EMI’den plak yapması için George Martin ile temas kuran kişidir. Tuba Büyüküstün Kimdir? Martin ise grubun bir albümü hariç tüm albümlerinin prodüktörü olacaktır. İlk teklileri "Love Me Do" 1962 sonlarında İngiltere’de başarı kazanır. Grubun gelen yılda başlayan turneleri de "Beatlemania" olarak adlandırılan çılgınlığı başlatacaktır. "I Want to Hold Your Hand" parçaları 1963 sonlarında Amerika’da başarı kazanır ve bu gruba uluslararası popülarite kazandırır. Hızla gelen başarıları sırasında kraliçe tarafında her birisine Sir ünvanı verilir. 1966’da grup John Lennon’un bir Amerikan dergisine Hristiyanlıkla ilgili yaptığı açıklamalar sebebiyle Amerika’da neredeyse aforoza uğrar ve sonucunda artık turne yapmamaya karar verirler. Bunun yerine stüdyo çalışmalarına odaklanırlar. 1967’de Maharishi Mahesh Yogi ile tanışırlar ve aynı yıl menajerleri Epstien aşırı dozda ilaç kullanımından ölür. Grup Hindistan’a gidip orada Maharishi ile meditasyon çalışmaları yaparlar. 1968’de ise grup içi çekişmeler ve anlaşmazlıklar başlar ve bu 1970’te grubun dağılışıyla sonlanır. Grup Formasyonu:Mart 1957’de John Lennon The Quarrymen grubunu kurar, aynı yıl Temmuz’da Paul McCartney ile tanışır ve gruba gitarist olarak katılmasında anlaşırlar. Lennon Aralık ortasında Liverpool’a döner. The Beatles, Epstein ile 24 Ocak 1962’de 5 yıllık bir kontrat imzalar ve Kaempfert onların Polydor’dan ayrılmasına izin verir. Epstein EMI menajerlerinden Ron White ile görüşür ama o sırada EMI gruba plak yapmayı reddeder. Epstein HMY’ ye giderek grubun DECCA’da kaydedilen kayıtlarını bastırmak ister ve bu arada George Martin ile karşılaşır ve 1 yıl sonunda yenilemeli olarak EMI Parlophone ile kontrat yapar. İlk kayıtlar sonrası Martin Best’in davul performansı için şikayette bulunur ve grubun stüdyo davulcusu kullanmasını önerir. Grup bunu öğrenince Best’ in ayrılmasını ister ve 16 Ağustos 1962’de bu gerçekleşir, yerine Ringo Star gelir. Gruba katıldıktan sonra 4 Eylül 1962’deki ikinci kayıtlara girer. Martin’in kiraladığı davulcu Andy White sadece "Love Me Do" & "P.S. I Love You"da kayıtlarda çalar. "Love Me Do" Mayıs 1964’te Amerika single listelerinde en üste yerleşir ve 1962’de grubun İngiltere’deki ilk top 20 hiti olur. 26 Kasım 1962’de grup ikinci teklileri(45'lik) "Please Please Me" çıkarır. 1963: "Love Me Do"nun 1962’de İngiltere’de liste başarısını takiben grubun ikinci teklisi "Please Please Me" büyük ilgiyle karşılanır ve iki numaraya çıkar. Onu "From Me to You" izler ve bugüne dek kırılamamış 17 hafta 1 numara olan tekli rekoru bununla başlar.. 1963’te iki albüm gelir.. Please Please Me 30 hafta 1 numarada kalır ve yerini ikinci albüm With The Beatles ile değiştirir ki o da 24 hafta 1 numarada kalacaktır. 1963 ile 1970 arasında grubun 13 albümünün 11 hafta bir numara olacaktır İngiltere’de. 1963’te grup 4 kez İngiltere’de tur düzenler ve her yerde inanılmaz kalabalıklar toplar öyle ki kimi zaman polis kalabalıkları tazyikli su ile kontrol etmek zorunda kalır. Amerika’da ilk teklilerinin Capitol Records tarafından yayınlanması gecikir ki bu firmada EMI’ye aittir. Firma ayrıca "Please Please Me" ya da "From Me to You”yu yayımlamak istemez. Aralık 1963’te sonunda firma "I Want to Hold Your Hand" ı yayınlarlar. 1964: 7 Şubat 1964’te grup ilk Amerika turnesine Heathrow hava limanında dört bin hayranı tarafından uğurlanarak çıkar. "I Want to Hold Your Hand" Amerika’da 2,6 milyon kopya satmıştır önceki iki hafta içinde, ama grup halen orada nasıl karşılanacakları hakkında gergindir. John F. Grubun üçüncü ve dördüncü albümleri, A Hard Day's Night & Beatles for Sale, 1964’te yayımlanır. Christmas Kiss

Pairing: You / Jungkook

Rating: PG (part of the Holiday Drabble Game)

Summary: Jungkook / frat boy!AU  / “That’s not mistletoe, that’s basil.”

All around Jungkook, the party is raging. It’s the last night of the semester before the holiday break and everyone is loud, blowing off steam.

“HEY, JEON!” a voice calls from across the room. “GET OVER HERE, WE NEED A FOURTH FOR PONG!”

Jungkook looks up, swallowing when he sees his to-be partner – you. Loud, brilliant, gorgeous and amazing you. He’s had a crush on you for quite some time now, ever since the first time he saw you, really. You’re a year older than he is, friends with some of the senior boys in his frat and the second Jungkook laid eyes on you laying in the quad with your head in a magazine, pointedly ignoring all attempts to cajole you into playing Frisbee – Jungkook knew you were the one for him.

He’s always been shy. It’s a crippling point of his personality, since Jungkook is good at everything else. He’s smart, talented – but typically the youngest in the group and because of this, it’s hard for him to put what he wants to say into words. People call Jungkook a dreamer, and maybe he is. It makes it hard, when the thing he keeps dreaming about is you, and he can’t seem to find the words to say this.

Pushing himself from the couch, Jungkook finishes the rest of his drink. He digs both hands into his pockets, warm and buzzed as he crosses the room. Namjoon stands at one end of the table, chatting up some girl Jungkook recognizes from his Shakespearean English class. Namjoon is grinning, pushing a hand through his hair – the same way he usually does, when he’s nervous.

You’re standing at the other end of the table, entirely alone. When Jungkook approaches, you smile, lifting your cup. “Hi,” you greet, eyes bright. “Sorry you’re stuck with me, Jungkook. Emily and Namjoon want to play and I’m so hopeless, no one wants to be my partner.”

Jungkook laughs, ducking his head. “I’m sure that’s not true,” he contests, though you laugh.

“Oh, it is,” you grin, tipping back the rest of your drink. “I’m awful. I hear you’re a ringer though, so maybe we’ll break even?”

Jungkook reaches for a new can of beer. “Ah, I don’t know,” he chuckles, pouring into the solo cups. “I play for keeps, Y/N. Anyone who doesn’t make a shot during a game with me – owes a favor.”

“A favor?” you laugh, eyes crinkling. “I suppose fair is fair, Jeon. What do you want?”

Jungkook stiffens, when you move closer and your breasts brush his arm. Your body is soft, eyes teasing and he can clearly smell the delicate, floral perfume you wear. It’s unfair, really, since Jungkook can barely able to keep it together as it is.

“I, well,” he stammers, until Namjoon interrupts.

“Yo, Jeon,” he groans, leaning both hands on the table. Emily laughs, filling their cups up with beer. “What’s the hold up?”

“I’m making sure everything is perfect,” Jungkook protests, stifling a smile before nudging a cup into the perfect triangle formation. “I take things seriously, President.”

“Not everything needs to be perfect,” Namjoon taps the rim. “Your math major side is showing. It’s fine, if one of the cups isn’t at an exact 180-degree angle.”

Looking at Jungkook, you arch a brow. “You’re a math major?”

Jungkook flushes, then nods. “Yeah – nerdy, I know. What can I say? I just couldn’t... subtract it from my life.”

You look at him for a moment – then laugh. So hard you snort, covering your mouth with one hand. “Oh, god,” you grin, turning away. “That was amazing. You’re ama –,” you swallow the words, looking down at the table. Jungkook wonders if you were saying what he thinks you were saying, until you wave across the table to Namjoon. “We’re trying to think of an appropriate punishment,” you inform, as though nothing has happened.

“Punishment?” Emily looks between the two of you, arching a brow. “Sounds kinky.”

Though you laugh, you roll your eyes. “I’m awful at pong, so if I don’t make a shot – then what?”

“Ooo,” Namjoon nods, understanding. “House rules are that you troll.”

“Troll?” you repeat, turning to Jungkook in alarm. “What’s that?”

“It’s where you sit under the table for the entirety of the next game,” he explains. “Like a troll, under the bridge.”

Eyes widening, you’re horrified by this thought. “Oh, god no,” you blurt, shaking your head. “Absolutely not. I’m wearing a dress,” you protest, glancing down �� and Jungkook looks as well.

Fuck. He tries to look away, but you’re breathtaking and he’s been holding himself back all night. It’s not just that you’re gorgeous, although you are. It’s that you take the time to see him, he realizes. You see him, you remember the things he says each time that you talk. Jungkook finds himself looking forward to each conversation you have because you challenge him, though not in a way that makes him feel belittled or small. He feels stronger, each time you speak and he just wants to be closer to you.

“What if,” you look up, meeting his gaze. “I bet a kiss?”

Jungkook freezes, while across the table Namjoon and Emily cheer. “Oh my god,” Namjoon gasps, and Emily claps in excitement.

“A kiss?” Jungkook repeats, gaze darting overhead. He points, awkwardly, to the bunch of makeshift holly. “That’s not mistletoe, that’s basil.”

You grin, not bothering to look. “Scared, Jeon?” When he sputters in shock, you turn away. “Good – then, let’s play!”

Jungkook’s breath hitches, heartbeat careening as he considers his options. If you don’t make a shot – Jungkook swallows, hard. He thinks this might be the first time he’s ever rooted for someone to lose. “Let’s play,” he echoes, rolling up his sleeves.

You and Namjoon face off. Each of you meeting the others’ eyes, frowning while you toss your ball over the table. He sinks his cup, you do not and the opposing team gets first shot.

“Sorry,” you wince, looking at Jungkook.

He just smiles, shaking his head. “Want some Chapstick?” he offers, craning his neck. “I think Jimin usually carries some in his back pocket.” 

Somewhat surprised by his audacity, you laugh. “Not just yet,” you grin, squinting at the table. You take aim and miss again, hitting Emily directly in the elbow. “Oh, shit – sorry, Em!”

Hiding his grin, Jungkook laughs into his cup as you whirl to face him. “Could’ve happened to anyone,” he coughs, lowering his brows.

Sticking out your tongue, you drain the rest of the cup. “Disgusting,” you sigh. Pulling a face, before smacking your lips. “This is looking pretty good for you, Jungkook.”

Jungkook’s heart races, at the sound of his name. Before, you called him Jeon or freshman. Across the table, Emily makes another cup and Namjoon grabs her, spinning her around. You say nothing, but move closer and Jungkook wonders if he’s actually overheating.

Jungkook is next. Wiping his forehead, he takes aim – exaggeratedly so, making you laugh – before he throws the ball to sink his mark.

“Yes!” Jungkook cheers, when you grab hold of his arm.

The game continues, and Jungkook lives up to his name of ringer. He makes every shot – and you make zero. Okay, some bounce off the rim, some teeter before falling onto the table. None of them are wins though, which has Jungkook smiling.

He laughs each time you miss, eyes crinkling as your frown gets deeper. “I can do this,” you huff – then wildly miss the mark.

It’s getting to the point, where Jungkook wonders if you’re doing it on purpose. The thought makes him shiver, though he tries his best to hide this. As the game continues, you move closer and closer to his body. Leaning sideways whenever he makes a cup, grabbing onto his elbow and pouting, when he doesn’t. Eventually Jungkook doesn’t know if he’s dizzy from you or the beer – and when it’s finally the last shot, you press your lips to his ear.

“Do you want me to make it?” you query, and Jungkook freezes.

“I – what?” he inhales, turning your way.

Your eyes are wide, the entire room seeming to spin. Outside, the snow is falling but Jungkook is having a hard time concentrating on anything but you, so close.

“Do you want me to miss?” you repeat. When your expression falters, Jungkook realizes what you’re asking.

You want to kiss him. Heart soaring, his hands slide gently to your elbows. “Do what you want,” he responds, arching a brow. “My plan is to kiss you, either way.”

Blinking quickly, you turn around. Then cock your arm – glancing sideways, and purposefully throw the ball aside. “Whoops,” you whisper.

Across the table, Namjoon and Emily are celebrating. He hugs her tightly, grabbing a cup of still-full beer to chug it over her shoulder. Holiday music plays in the background and everyone else is occupied, while Jungkook takes a step forward. He stares at you, gaze daring from your eyes to your lips. They’re full, parted and waiting – waiting, for him and for some reason he can’t do it.

He can picture it, can see himself kissing you. Jungkook has seen it a thousand, a million times before because in his mind, he’s kissed you that often – but now that you’re here, it’s impossible for him to act.

“Jungkook,” you whisper, forcing him to focus.

“Yes?” he blinks.

You lift yourself up, pressing your lips to his. The kiss is soft, gentle – the briefest of touches. His lips are cautious, curious – as though he’s never kissed anyone before. As though he’s forgotten all other lips, the second his touched yours. When he pulls back, hesitating – he opens his eyes to see you looking.

“W-wow,” you breathe, and Jungkook’s heart leaps at the sound.

You stuttered. You stuttered, and it makes him feel young – younger than he already is – because the way you’re looking at him has Jungkook feeling a way he’s never felt before. “Wow,” he repeats, and you nod.

“Wow,” you affirm, grip tightening on his hips. “I was wondering, though – do you maybe want to lose at beer pong again?”

“You’re on.”

Insomniac Founder Pasquale Rotella Did A Reddit AMA Live

Insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella did a Reddit AMA Live to answer questions on EDC 2018 and here’s all the questions and answers he responded to.

The live AMA took place Sept. 27 at 3pm PST. Lots of questions came up, but only a few were answered. Since some of them offer us new insights into EDC 2018, I’ve compiled them all for us! Check it out below and read the Reddit thread here. Some of the questions got off the topic of EDC 2018, so I’ve reorganized them to be at the bottom.

Q: jtet93: Can we have details about how the shuttle experience will be improved? I can't really express how bad my experience was last year, and I was personally really frustrated that it was so challenging after the cancellation of third party shuttles. I swore I wouldn't come back to EDC unless the transportation improved. I know you're handing off the planning to an outside company but any details you can provide on how their plan will make a real difference to the shuttle experience would be awesome. I'm also wondering if there will be reentry for campers? And how the issue of sunlight will be dealt with in the "turnkey" tents - will there be any effort to create shade or darkness in the camping areas? Thanks Pasquale! I will say that once I'm inside EDC it's definitely one of my favorite places ever and I love attending. I would love to see the logistics improve and come back year after year A: PasqualeRotella: We have confirmed the third party company we will be using for shuttles and they provide transportation for the largest live events in the world. I am excited about collaborating with them to make it the best it’s ever been. Also, great camping question! The tents we are setting up will provide protection from sunlight. There are also multiple shade areas for not only activities around the campgrounds but also at the center camp, which is called The Mesa. We’ll have more details about this when we announce camping soon!

Q: Shannonraczka: Can we get a ball park range for camping passes? Also will they be available in a payment plan as well? Lastly can we get an estimated time that they will go on sale? Thank you!! A: PasqualeRotella: It will be between $250-$275 to bring in your RV, and we��ll have hook-ups available for an additional fee. As far as campers, there will be several different packages available. It depends how many people you’re with and what packages you choose, but you’ll be able to get something between $450 to $2,500 for 4 days of camping. This will all be laid out clearly before we go on sale with camping options.

Q: RaveMeSilly: With camping being added and festival hours being extended, are there plans to change the re-entry policy? I'd love to party from 3pm to 6am, but it would be clutch to be able to hit up the campgrounds for a bit in between to relax and recoup. A: PasqualeRotella: Yes, during festival hours you can come in and out of the show as long as you have a camping wristband [additional response on the same post] We will have in's and out's at the festival for campers, but non-campers will not be able to enter the campgrounds.

Q: TheHans215: How likely would it be to get a small stage, maybe even sponsored by like 7-Up again, inside of the huge shuttle tent outside the speedway? Waiting in the early hours of the morning would be way better with some chill music to groove to. Even better, have campers host the stage like a "sound camp" type thing. Doesn't have to be crazy lights or effects, just some sound to keep peoples moods high. A: PasqualeRotella: We're capable of building that, no problem. No plans for that right now but I like the idea. Thanks for the suggestion! That said, we do not plan on having a long wait at shuttles with our new provider.

Q: ekapote: Hi Pasquale! I have a question regarding security on shuttle waiting lines. Last year a huge cause of frustration, along with long waiting times, was due to large groups of people jumping the fence dividers and cutting lines leaving the festival. Does the new company plan on upping the amount of security monitoring these lines? There was no way cops on the outskirts could see what was happening inside the tents based on the layout. My group witnessed several fights break out, and we were concerned for the safety of everyone involved. Thanks so much for taking the time to answer our questions! Can’t wait for 2018. ✌🏼🌼🦉 A: PasqualeRotella: The answer to that question is yes. Shuttle operations are gonna be completely different next year.

Q: juanmiindset: Im a Cast Member at Disneyland and Ive seen you and Holly at the park often, how much inspiration from Disneyland goes into these festivals if any? A: PasqualeRotella: I get inspiration from so many different places. Even going all the way back to the original LA warehouse underground scene. But yes, theme parks as well!

Q: DeClann: Will the livestreaming experience be improved for 2018? Having a continuous stream for each stage would be much more appreciated than 10-20min sets from only a handful of DJ's. I can't wait to see what you have in store for EDC 2018! A: PasqualeRotella: I've gotten mixed opinions from people for what they'd like to see on this. I do appreciate your input. We're capable of doing longer sets. Maybe I should get a vote on this from fans.

Q: brandejae: You advised that EDC 2018 will be getting longer hours, new shuttle service, camping and new stage designs. Does this include the neonGARDEN as well!? We've had the "TechnoTeepee" for going on three years now and it's definitely getting a bit stale. Personally, I really enjoyed 2013/14's designs with the larger structure and feel that Insomniac could take note from Awakenings & Time Warp for their new Factory93 experience. Techno has definitely been growing in the states and I feel like we are definitely past due for some upgrades! Thank you! A: PasqualeRotella: Agree! We are working on new designs for next year's neonGARDEN.

Q: Rekari: Are there any plans to update QuantumValley stage? This year was great, but could have been better with the addition of CO2. Also it seemed like it was too small of a venue for some of the bigger acts like ATB and Gareth Emery where it was completely packed this year. A: PasqualeRotella: Yes, I'm excited to say that it’s going to be a new open-air stage.

Q: Ilovewingsnthings: Pasquale, I LOVE all the main stage designs, but can we please have more LED on the main stage? I really like Insomniac visuals, but the last 3 years they been obstructed. Kinetic Cathedral has been the perfect balance. A: PasqualeRotella: We pretty much use all the LED in the United States for EDC Las Vegas every year so that might be difficult unless you own an LED company.

Q: Redrunk: Where exactly is the camping going to be on the speedway grounds? A: PasqualeRotella: Surrounding properties outside the Speedway grounds.

Q: slombar: As a big trance and Dreamstate fan, I have to admit the QuantumValley experience just didn't compare to the old Megastructure of Circuit Grounds. Is there any plan to bring a megastructure stage back? A: PasqualeRotella: There are no plans right now, but there's the possibility of bringing the megastructure back, just not for the circuitGROUNDS. It's not big enough to accommodate the people at that stage.

Q: xxalexmxx: Pasquale will you improve premier parking for edc 2018? I spent $150 this year and left at 4am and no one in the lot could leave till 8am friday it was horrible Everyone in GA left before us. The pass was for faster in and out but we were the last ones to leave Ive had premier for 3 years in a row. 2015-2016 was better so why change it Youve also moved it into a diffrent bigger lot which makes me think its more about the money now. Edit: Can you let us know if premier parking lot will be in the new 2017 lot again or will go back to the good lot they had in 2015-2016? Question #1: Are you going to continue this trend of booking artists that are not part of the EDM scene? (DJ khaled, metro boomin, etc.) Question #2: A lot of headliners complained about being ripped off by the water vendors and being denied ice in 100° weather. Are you aware of this at all? We want to book our hotel ASAP. A: PasqualeRotella: Not only are the prices not going up but shuttles will be immensely improved. All stops will be announced before the shuttles go on sale.

Q: kunfuz1on: Having a large quantity of DJ's at EDC is good for diversity but have you thought about lowering the amount of DJ's at the event in place of longer sets? It would be nice to see multiple DJ's play for 1.5 - 2 hours. A: PasqualeRotella: We will have artists periodically play extended set times depending on the genre or stage they are playing at.

Q: nnicot: Hi Mr. Rotella, as an 'older' festival-goer it's been amazing watching the evolution of Insomniac festivals through the years. present-day EDC especially is mind-boggling with its production quality and lineups. My mind was completely blown this year watching Valentino Khan throw down his ridiculous set while all the fireworks were going off in our faces right behind the Basspod stage! First question: after so many years of holding EDC in June, what was the final tipping point for you to move EDC to May? Second question: moving forward, how much involvement do you think you will have with the HARD brand of events, and what is your vision for the Hard brand? The recently revealed Holy Ship lineups are absolutely insane and have definitely served to calm the fears of many of the die-hard Ship fans. Thank you and my crew and I are eager to see what Insomniac brings in the future! A: PasqualeRotella: The biggest factor in our move to May was the cooler weather. It allows us to do camping, have extended hours, and the temperatures are way more comfortable for Headliners. It also takes if off of Father’s Day, which is great for me and all the other Dads. We’ve owned HARD for 4 years but haven’t operated it, with the exception of helping with HARD Summer at Glen Helen this past August. Moving forward we’ll continue with operations.

If you're staying in a tent, we ask that you bring your own lock as the zippers will have luggage lock holes. Security will be roaming the grounds as well. Q: sheriffChocolate: So my question, like so many others, is related to EDC camping. In the campground can we get above ground pools and have pool parties with DJs? Since we're so far away from the strip I feel like this would be a great way to supplement some EDC week pool parties and cool off! A: PasqualeRotella: That is being explored and likely to happen. Q: alpatt: Pasquale, Will EDC LV be going "cashless" and make the attendees utilize wristbands for payments in 2018 similar to other music festivals? A: PasqualeRotella: No plans for it right now but is that something you think we should do?

Being from Texas and going to EDC since 2014, it was amazing to be able to RV camp at an insomniac festival so close to home. Grey’s Anatomy 13x22 “Leave It Inside” Review (Spoiler Alert)

Hello again fans! Your girl is back with another Grey’s review!

I saw that my last review didn't get many likes. It's either it was crap or those of you who usually read didn't get to see it because of how I tagged it. So, here's a link if you want to read it.

I don’t really have anything to say as an introduction, so let’s just get into it.

RESIDENTS:

Had to give the residents their own section in this review. They all were going through their own little thing.

We got to see Jo this episode!

Was I the only one trying to see Camilla's baby bump?

Oh Andrew, come here boo.

Rejection sucks, I know.

So, Deluca finally decided to admit his feelings to Jo, but she told him she know what he was going to say and to not say it. Was it a rejection because she doesn’t have feelings for him or because she doesn’t want to get involved with anyone again or she’s still in love with Alex? That’s what I need to know.

Minnick had these views about Ben, and I was sitting there thinking “You not about to talk about my homie Ben like that”. But I have to admit, she had a point. Webber had to admit it too when he saw it. Ben had been taking a lot of big risks, and after them, he didn’t  want to get into any more trouble, so he took the safe route. He had been playing it safe and not smart. Webber had a talk with him, and now he’s more determined than ever to step his game up.

Stephanie had gotten praises from Minnick at the beginning of the episode, but after seeing her interaction with her patient’s mother, she did more digging and realized she didn’t get counseling or a break after watching her boyfriend die in the O.R. She thinks that the event is still affecting her and that she should get counseling. Webber didn’t agree, but when she threw the tablet behind her patient’s father, they thought it was time for them to do something. So, Stephanie is now being held back from surgery and has to go to counseling.

ARIZONA & ELIZA:

I’m not going to pretend that I care about these two, but I have to be fair and talk about them.

I can’t remember exactly how their first scene went. From what I can remember, Eliza asked Arizona to hang out, and there being sex after was mentioned. Arizona seemed a bit hesitant about it, which had me thinking that things hadn’t gotten that far with them yet. That really surprised me cause I thought that they would have already. But there was this impression that Arizona was a bit nervous about getting intimate with her.

They had this cute little elevator moment where Arizona was talking about what she feels and think about Eliza. And also assuring her that she did want to have sex with her….without actually using those words.

There was a scene where Eliza was talking about the residents, specifically Stephanie, and said that she didn’t blame her for her actions because of how Webber and Bailey were treating her! I watched the scene thinking “You better shut up. You just got here, you don’t know shit!!” Yes, I had an attitude, yes I was being petty. She could very well have a point, but I just didn’t like how she was talking about them.

I actually expected Arizona to tell her to stop talking about her friends like that. But she actually used that opportunity to mention she was wearing sexy underwear, which let to a bedroom scene, oooooooooo.

Like I said, I’m not particularly invested in this couple, but it will be cool to see how things turn out for them.

MnM:

It seems like things are good between Maggie and Meredith now. The thing is that Meredith is still being...I’m not sure how I should describe it.

She wanted to invite Nathan over and told Maggie about it, not wanting things to be weird when he showed up. Maggie said it was cool, but Meredith still was claiming she didn’t want things to be weird. Watching this scene, I thought she was still walking on eggshells around Maggie, worrying that she would cause more problems.

But that all changed as I continued to watch the episode.

Later on, when Nathan was supposed to come to her house, she called him and told him she was too tired and they should try for the next day. After talking on the phone, she spotted her and Derek’s Post-It, and she put it in the drawer.

That’s when things started to get clear for me, and after her talk with her patients wanna be boyfriend, it all made sense. Her talking to Maggie about Nathan coming over had nothing to do with things being weird. She was just nervous about moving on with her life. Her getting rid of Derek’s tumor drawing and putting away the Post-It, all had to do with her trying to move on from Derek. But then she kind of wanted to use the excuse of Maggie finding it uncomfortable to not have him come over. When that didn’t work, she ended up calling him and saying she was tired.

In the end, though, she had to take the risk with Riggs, and they ended up leaving the hospital together.

PATIENTS:

I’m not going to front, the patient stories were way more interesting than the doctors this episode.

First, there was Holly. She came in for a broken bone and a scan showed that she had a tumor around her heart, which she was already aware of. She had gone to many doctors who said it was inoperable, and she had come to the point where she was accepting her faith and wanted to live out the rest of her life having sex with random guys.

One of those guys showed up at the hospital, claiming he was her boyfriend. She wanted Meredith and April to tell him she was dead because she didn’t really like him like that and had no intention of being in a relationship with anyone. April wasn’t Ok with telling the guy she was dead, but instead told him she couldn’t see anyone, and Meredith told him he should leave.

Maggie had shown up with a plan to get rid of her tumor, and Holly was against it at first, saying she was ready for death. But it took Meredith talking to her, telling her that she may have another shot to live her life, for her to change her mind.

But things didn’t go they way they wanted. The tumor wasn’t just on her heart, it had gone into her esophagus too. Amelia even said that at this rate would have already spread to her spinal cord and taking it out would cause a high risk of paralysis. All they could do was take out what they could on her heart, lessening her symptoms and giving her more time to leave.

Holly didn’t seem upset at all. She had really accepted her condition and she wanted to live her life the way she wanted before she was gone.

It turned out that dude didn’t leave the hospital, and Meredith had to break it to him that Holly didn’t want him.

Then there was Liam. The little boy really touched my heart.

So, Liam showed up at the hospital, claiming to be having really bad headaches. They wanted to get him a CT scan but knew they couldn’t do it without his parents’ consent. But then he started having a seizure, and they had to do an emergency scan. When the parents showed up, they informed them that their son had a brain tumor, and he needed surgery to fix it. But, surprisingly, the parents refused, saying he won’t die if it’s God’s will.

Does it make me a bad Christian because I rolled my eyes at his statement?

Anyway, Alex and Stephanie were not Ok with it. But by law, they can’t do it without parents consent, and the law also says that someone could refuse medical treatment based on their faith. The mother signed an AMA (Against Medical Advice), and they left with their son. But not before Stephanie told the mother that without the surgery her son will die.

But guess who shows up at the hospital the next day? (Or was it the same day? I wasn't paying attention). Liam. And this time, he couldn't see. Watching him look so scared and hearing him say “I prayed and I prayed and it didn’t work. God didn’t help me. Can you help me Dr. Karev?”, had my heart breaking for so many reasons!

Alex and Stephanie knew they couldn’t do anything without the parents. Alex wanted to lie about him having a seizure, that way they can get him to the O.R without consent because it will be an emergency. Stephanie said it was wrong, but Alex said it was wrong to sit by and let a child die.

They lied on the report saying he got a seizure and brought him to the O.R, where Amelia operated. Minnick found out and the parents were called. The father was, of course, pissed, but you could tell that the mother was just really happy that her son was going to be Ok. The father even threatened to sue the hospital. Minnick is convinced Alex did something wrong and Bailey warned Alex that he could go to jail for this but  Alex said flat out that he would go to jail for this one.Minnick confronted Stephanie about it, but she said nothing.

Then there was the exchange with Stephanie and the dad. She said that they, her and Alex, were doing what Liam wanted and was doing his job as the parent. She told him that it was up to him to help his son and tell him everything was going to be Ok. The dad said that was all up to God. Stephanie shot back by saying that if God did anything, it was bringing Liam safely to them because he knew his father was too weak to do anything. The dad told Stephanie she would go to hell before walking away, then Steph threw the tablet after him.

I was like “You about to get fired now”

One of the final scenes was Alex talking to the mother. He realized that Liam couldn’t make it all the way back to the hospital in his condition and that someone had to have helped him. The mother replied with “God helps those who help themselves”.

This storyline really had me thinking, and my overly “thinky” self enjoyed it very much.

I started thinking about what I would do if I was in Alex’s and Stephanie’s shoes. I probably would have let him go the first time, even though it would be bothering me. But I don’t think I would have felt comfortable letting him go the second time when he showed up again and was crying. It would definitely feel like crap knowing that I can save a child’s life, but don’t have the permission to. I don’t know if I would have lied on the chart and do the surgery, but I felt like I would have done something. Maybe I would say it was child abuse or something. I don’t know if that would classify as such, but I would have tried it.

This also had me thinking about my beliefs.

I’m about to start preaching y’all.

As a Christian, I believe in God’s will too. I believe there are somethings that aren’t meant to be, and it doesn’t matter how hard you try, it just won’t happen. But that doesn’t mean I’m on the same page as the father. Like the mother, I believe that God helps those who helps themselves. I can’t pray and ask God to help me pass my exams and then not study for it. That makes no sense to me. Even though Stephanie was wrong for throwing the tablet at the father, I agreed with her on most of what she said. I believe that God doesn’t always answer prayers the way we expect it to be answered. These parents thought that if their son was meant to live, that some grand miracle will happen and their child would be saved. But it doesn’t work like that most of the time. When the father told Stephanie that it was all up to God, thinking like her, I said “Did it ever occur to you that your son coming to this hospital where Amelia Shepherd worked, where he met Alex and Stephanie, was God’s way of answering your prayers?”. 

That’s why Liam saying God didn’t help him really hurt my heart. Because I believe that God was helping him by bringing him to Alex and Stephanie.

Ok, I think I’m done preaching now.

CONCLUSION:

It was a good episode, but I didn’t get to see what I wanted. The patient story with Liam was where it was at for me this episode.

Lessons of the Week:

1) Take a risk. Take a leap of faith

In this episode, we saw a lot of characters take a big risk. Well for them, it was a big risk. Andrew took the risk of wanting to tell Jo how he felt. The little boy’s mother took a risk to go against her husband’s wishes and get her son’s life saved. Maggie took a risk with her patient. Arizona took a risk to move her relationship with Eliza forward. Meredith took a risk with moving on from Derek and starting something new with Nathan. This was a lesson I personally needed. Will I follow up on it? Only time will tell.

RANT:

It’s been a long while since I’ve ranted like this about Grey’s, but I’m at the point now where I’m so confused at to what’s going on.

Now, you all know I’m a huge Japril fan. And like many fans, I’m trying to figure out what is going on with my favorite couple. This episode made it even more confusing for me.

In dealing with her patient, April had to hear a lot about sex, but if I remember clearly, she didn’t mention anything about her sex life or looked like she was hiding anything. In the final scene, April is talking about going out to get booze, and Maggie added: “and a man”. When Maggie mentioned she didn’t want anything serious, April added: “I don’t want a boyfriend”.

What the hell am I supposed to get from that scene about Japril? Was I even supposed to get anything?

Are she and Jackson still sleeping together or was it a one-time thing? If it isn’t a one-time thing, do other people know or are they keeping it to themselves? And why doesn’t April want a boyfriend? Is it because she simply doesn't want to be in a relationship or is there some sort of relationship between her and Jackson that she doesn’t want to complicate?

I’m so confused!

Did the writers completely forget about Japril? Are they leaving everything for the season finale? Are they even getting back together? Like what is the point of having that Japril centric episode? What was the point of them having sex? Was it just for show? Was it to reel us Japril fans back in?  I need answers man!

I was really pissed about not getting anything Jolex related, but it seems like maybe we might get something soon.

THEORIES, HOPES & EXPECTATIONS:

From Alex’s last scene, I think he’s trying to find Jo’s husband.

I have a theory for Japril, but I don’t want to talk about it. I’m afraid that I might jinx Japril’s future or something. So, I’ll just keep it to myself, and if it happens, then I’ll reveal it.

Late last year I was sitting on my couch and received a text message from a Democratic organization asking if I had ever considered running for office.  Like a lot of people who discuss politics energetically, I had.  I replied, "Yes," and went to meet with leaders from Cherokee County Democrats and the Democratic Party of Georgia, and we determined that I should run for Representative in the Georgia Assembly, House District 21.  This district has been a Republican stronghold for a long time, but we believe that it's possible to win due to the current challenges facing Georgia such as the coronavirus pandemic (check out r/CoronavirusGA for great work by u/N4BFR and others), the equality protests spurred by the murders of Georgia Floyd and Breonna Taylor nationally, as well as the murders of Ahmaud Arbery by racists and Rayshard Brooks by police in Georgia, and the focus on civil rights brought about by the loss of one of the greatest Georgia political leaders, John Lewis.My main concern is that the government of Georgia has been under total Republican control since 2005, and during that time the Republican elected officials running the state executive and legislative branches have focused more and more on their national party's goals and concerns while leaving my neighbors in HD-21 and across the state to fend for themselves.  This can be seen in the refusal to expand Medicaid, our crumbling infrastructure, repeated attempts to block women's access to abortion, and more.  The national Republican Party is committed to the idea that government is bad, and they apply that belief by governing badly.My commitment in this campaign is to focus on the people of House District 21 first, followed by the people of Georgia, and that's it.  I'm running as a Democrat, but the national Democratic Party is not my concern as a candidate for the state legislature.  I will work closely with other state Democrats and any Republicans who are committed to serving the people of Georgia first, foremost, and always by bringing their voices to the Georgia General Assembly.  We have to set aside our aspirations for future national office or cushy consulting gigs and bring our state out of the murk and gloom of 15+ years caused by Bad Government Republicans.I have done 2 previous AMAs, one on r/Georgia and one on r/VoteDEM.  I'm looking forward to your questions!Check out an interview I did with PeachPod: A Georgia Politics Podcast last month.  For people who prefer video, I created a Playlist so you can watch me fidget and wave my hands around.  I had previously had an interview with Indivisible GA-11, a group focused on all the political goings-on in Georgia's 11th US Congressional District, and created a playlist for that.For keeping track of what I'm thinking day-to-day, I recommend my Facebook page (links below).  I am most active there.
