Reader that is TERRIFIED of spiders, finds one and jumps up onto the table, when Legacy walks in and looks at them like they're insane they just point to the spider that's the size of a quarter.
okay but the size of a quarter is still pretty big though-
Legacy is actually entirely unafraid of spiders- maybe when Childe was young, was still more Ajax than Tartaglia, he would've been. but now, after the Abyss? eh, they weren't a big deal. you, on the other hand, think that spiders are the absolute worst creatures to encounter. you don't hate them, not at all! they do good work, catching annoying insects! but something about their legs and the way they skitter makes your hair stand on end. Childe has long since learned to never, NEVER tease you with the physical spider. he tried once in good fun, and you promptly burst into tears. granted, he got to hold and comfort you for the entire evening, but he still felt sick to his stomach about the whole thing
Legacy had cursed at Childe in his head, too. needless to say, never again
you're already on the table when Legacy comes running, poking his head into the room with a worried chirp, his gaze falling to where your trembling finger is pointing. a black spider the size of a piece of mora sits, quite content, quite peaceful, right on the middle of the floor. from a distance, it just looks like a large speck of dust. Foul Legacy has to chew on his tongue to keep from choking with laughter, marching right over to the tiny beast and crouching down. he huffs sternly and scoops the spider into his claws. it simply turns a few times curiously- you'd swear, later, that its movements were smug and pleased as he deposited it outside
a sigh rushes out of your lungs, shoulders dropping in relief. you raise a hand to pat a very proud Legacy's head, scritching behind his horns and under his chin- he's your hero, after all. and heroes deserve cuddles

Spider!Minjeong... subtlety has never been her thing!

Yes, this was a request. Yes, I had lots of fun doing it. Sorry for the wait, hope it was worth it!

____________________
The school gym is packed.
It’s the end of the day, and the student council is setting up for some kind of fundraiser — a bake sale, a raffle, something y/n y/l/n had excitedly pitched with sparkles in her eyes and a hundred volunteers too afraid to say no. Minjeong isn't even sure why she’s here, crouched awkwardly behind the snack table in her hoodie, pretending to fix the paper banner even though she’s mostly just watching y/n from a distance.
She tells herself it’s purely coincidental. Totally accidental. Not at all because y/n looks extra pretty in her student council sash, or because she’d smiled at Minjeong earlier and said, “You’re helping too? Cute.”
Nope. Not because of that.
Minjeong fiddles with a roll of tape to distract herself. She’s not Spiderwoman right now. She’s just… Minjeong. Ordinary. Invisible. Safe.
Then, as if summoned by karma itself, she hears it:
“Ow—! Whoa—!”
She looks up just in time to see y/n — up on a bench trying to pin the final banner over the gym door — lose her balance.
Minjeong gasps, the world slows, she doesn’t think — just moves.
By the time y/n blinks, Spiderwoman is already there.
She swings in through the high gym windows, landing with a soft thwip of web. She catches y/n mid-fall, bridal-style, one arm around her back and the other steadying her knees.
y/n stares.
Spiderwoman blinks.
“…Hi?” Minjeong says, her voice just a little too high-pitched behind the mask.
y/n arches a brow. “You again?”
Spiderwoman gently sets her down on the ground. “You, uh, twisted your ankle. I think. I mean—I saw—well, not like I was watching you—I just—was passing by! Over the gym. You know. Swinging.” She gestures vaguely upward. “Air.”
y/n bites her lip, clearly fighting a smile. “You really do show up every time I so much as sneeze in public.”
“I—it’s not just you,” Spiderwoman mutters. “I save lots of people.”
“Right, sure.” y/n grins, brushing a lock of hair behind her ear. “You wouldn’t happen to be stalking me, would you?”
“I—what? No! No, I—who would do that? That’s crazy. So crazy. Like, unhinged, even.”
y/n leans in just a little. “You’re kind of cute when you panic.”
Minjeong makes a sound like a squeaky toy and nearly trips over her own web.
“I—I should go. You’re safe. Mission accomplished. Okay. Bye.”
She fires a web to the rafters, nearly misses, and stumbles as it catches. y/n watches, fully amused, as the masked hero flails for a second before swinging off, muttering to herself about "stupid gravity" and “why now of all times.”
y/n tilts her head, watching her disappear through the window.
She rubs her ankle, then glances down at her wrist.
Wrapped around it is a thin strand of web — almost like a ribbon. Almost like a calling card.
y/n smiles to herself. “Spiderwoman, huh?” she says under her breath. “Interesting.”
-----
Minjeong’s Room – 8:42 PM
Minjeong groans and drops face-first onto her bed, still wearing her Spiderwoman suit from the waist up, mask thrown to the floor in dramatic shame.
“Why am I like this,” she mumbles into her pillow.
She rolls over and stares at the ceiling, arms flopped out like a starfish. Her cheeks are still burning. She replays it in her head — the twist, the save, the bridal carry, the flirting.
“She called me cute,” Minjeong groans, grabbing a pillow and smacking herself with it. “She called me cute, and I ran away like a complete loser.”
The small radio on her desk buzzes to life with police chatter. She glances at it, then looks away.
“Nope. Not going out again tonight. The city can survive one night without me. I almost tripped on my own web… in front of her. I have no dignity left.”
She picks up a crumpled notebook and opens it. Inside are quick sketches — little doodles of Spiderwoman and a mysterious girl with a sash and a mischievous smile. She stares at it, then hurriedly shoves it under her pillow like it might explode.
“She definitely suspects something. I need to stop showing up every time she breathes.”
Pause.
“…She has a really nice smile though.”
--
y/n’s Room – 8:43 PM
y/n sits cross-legged on her bed, ankle wrapped in a soft bandage, phone in hand, and a suspiciously giddy look on her face.
Across from her, Ryujin lounges with a face mask on, peeking up from her book.
“Okay,” Ryujin says slowly, “what’s got you smiling like that? Did another freshman confess their love again?”
y/n snorts. “No, not this time. Though that was hilarious. No, today’s chaos was… new.”
She taps her screen and holds it up. It’s a blurry photo someone caught in the gym — Spiderwoman, mid-swing, cradling y/n in her arms like a rom-com hero. The caption: “She came flying in out of nowhere???”
Ryujin laughs. “Okay, that’s amazing. But also? She’s totally into you.”
y/n raises a brow. “She is?”
“y/n, be serious. You’ve been rescued, what, four times now? And somehow, it’s always you. That girl’s got a spider crush.”
y/n hums, not denying it. “She’s… interesting. I think I get why people like the mystery. But here’s the thing—” she leans forward, eyes glittering with mischief, “I think I know who she is.”
Ryujin lowers her book. “Wait, what?”
y/n smiles to herself and says nothing more. But in her head, she’s already thinking of the quiet girl in the hoodie, the way Minjeong panicked when their hands brushed last week, the way her voice trembled when she said y/n looked nice at the last student council meeting.
Too many coincidences.
And maybe… just maybe… y/n kind of wants it to be her.
-----
Minjeong stands at her locker, staring into it blankly like the answers to life are hidden behind her math books.
She hasn’t slept much — her dreams were full of red sashes, crooked smiles, and falling out of the sky into y/n y/l/n’s arms instead of the other way around. The memory of yesterday's disaster still burns under her skin.
She exhales sharply and mutters, “Just act normal. Be cool. Avoid eye contact. Maybe move to Canada.”
“Morning, Minjeong!”
Minjeong jumps so hard she almost drops her books.
y/n y/l/n is right behind her, glowing like the sun, hair done up in a lazy ponytail, sash off for the day but still carrying herself like royalty. Her ankle is wrapped but she walks just fine — too fine, if you ask Minjeong. Suspiciously fine.
“Oh,” Minjeong says, voice cracking. “Hi! Hello! You’re here.”
y/n raises an amused brow. “Well, yeah. School. I do go here.”
“Right! Of course. Obviously.”
y/n leans a little closer, her voice lower now. “You look tired.”
Minjeong stares at her. “I slept. I mean—yes. I do that. Sleeping. At night. Regular hours. Normal human stuff.”
y/n grins like a cat who’s found a very entertaining mouse. “You know,” she says, twirling a strand of her hair, “Spiderwoman saved me again yesterday.”
Minjeong chokes on air.
y/n continues, voice sweet and casual. “She always shows up just in time. It’s weird, right? Almost like she’s watching me.”
Minjeong blinks. “That is weird. Super weird. Creepy, even. You should… maybe install cameras?”
y/n hums thoughtfully. “Or maybe I should just pay closer attention to the people around me.”
Minjeong lets out a high-pitched laugh. “Why would you do that?”
y/n just smiles and walks away, leaving a short-circuiting Minjeong frozen in front of her locker, fully broken.
-----
y/n didn’t plan to go get ice cream, but she’s finished her student council duties early, it’s a sunny day, and frankly, she feels like causing minor mischief. So, she heads out alone, takes a stroll, and ends up at her favorite spot near the park.
She's halfway through ordering when the universe intervenes.
A kid on a skateboard comes out of nowhere, careening down the sidewalk. y/n steps back just a little too late — her foot catches the curb, and she stumbles backward.
“Oh come on—”
Before she can hit the pavement, Spiderwoman drops down from above in an absolute flourish of limbs and webbing, catching y/n around the waist like she’s been waiting for this exact moment.
y/n ends up dipped backward like its prom night.
Spiderwoman blinks.
y/n smirks.
“…This is getting suspicious,” y/n murmurs, looking up at the masked girl who’s clearly blushing under that suit.
“I was just… around,” Spiderwoman squeaks.
“Of course you were.” y/n twirls a strand of her hair. “Let me guess. You were swinging over the ice cream parlor?”
“I was, um… craving strawberry?”
y/n laughs — full, bright, genuine. “You’re ridiculous.”
Spiderwoman helps her upright again, awkward and bashful. “You’re okay though, right?”
y/n nods, brushing off her skirt. “I always am when you’re around.”
That definitely short-circuits Spiderwoman, who nearly stumbles over her own feet trying to swing off again. y/n watches her disappear into the sky, a smirk tugging at her lips.
“I’ve got to figure out who you are,” she says under her breath. “Because this? This is fun.”
-----
“I’m gonna die. This is it. This is how I go. Death by flirting. At least she’s hot.”
Minjeong drops her head onto the cafeteria table. Jimin gently pats her back like she’s in mourning. Aeri sips her drink, unimpressed. Yizhuo is already halfway through her bag of chips, eating with the energy of someone watching a reality show.
“What happened this time?” Aeri asks dryly.
“She almost fell at the ice cream shop yesterday,” Minjeong groans, still face-down. “And I just happened to be around. Again.”
“You mean,” Jimin says carefully, “you were stalking her.”
“No! I was just—okay yes, but lightly. I was passing by!”
“You swooped in and cradled her like a rom-com lead,” Yizhuo adds, tossing a chip into her mouth. “That’s not casual. That’s soulmate behavior.”
Minjeong lifts her head just enough to pout. “She’s onto me. I can tell. She kept looking at me weird this morning, and she keeps teasing me about Spiderwoman. I think she’s playing with me.”
“She probably is,” Aeri says bluntly. “And you’re letting her.”
“She smirked, Aeri. She smirked and said ‘you’re always around when I’m in trouble.’ Like—like I don’t try to save everyone. Like I’m her personal superhero.”
“Which you are,” Jimin says, beaming.
“I’m gonna get exposed,” Minjeong whimpers. “She’s going to unmask me and then laugh and say ‘wow I really thought you’d be taller.’”
Honestly,” Yizhuo says, “if she finds out and still flirts with you, it’s a win.”
“IF!?”
--
y/n leans back in her chair, one leg crossed over the other, sipping an iced coffee like she owns the school. She taps her pen against her planner and smiles to herself.
Across the room, Ryujin raises a brow. “What are you plotting now?”
“Me?” y/n says innocently. “Nothing, just thinking.”
Ryujin doesn’t even blink. “Don’t lie to me, you’re glowing. That’s your mischief face.”
y/n sighs dramatically. “Fine. If I were plotting, hypothetically, it would be… a light social experiment.”
“Which means?”
y/n smiles wider. “I’ve narrowed it down. Spiderwoman is definitely someone from this school, and I think she might be Minjeong.”
Ryujin blinks. “The tiny one who blushes when you say ‘hi’?”
“The very same.”
“…y/n, be serious.”
“I am,” she hums. “Think about it. Spiderwoman’s voice? Nervous. Awkward. Like she’s trying to be confident and only halfway succeeding. She always shows up where I am, which is honestly flattering. And yesterday, Minjeong looked like she saw a ghost when I teased her about it.”
Ryujin stares. “You’re enjoying this way too much.”
y/n leans forward, eyes glinting. “Oh, I’m thriving. And now… we test the waters.”
“What does that mean?”
“I’m going to be somewhere ‘dangerous’ after school.”
“y/n—”
“I’m not going to actually fall off anything,” she says with a scoff. “I’m just going to see if she shows up.”
Ryujin pinches the bridge of her nose. “You’re such a menace.”
y/n grins. “She started it.”
-----
y/n stretches her arms as the afternoon sun casts a warm glow over the rooftop. She leans over the edge just a little, enough to look dramatic but not enough to trigger a real emergency.
She’s counting down in her head.
3… 2… 1…
Thwip.
“Hey! That’s not safe, y’know!”
y/n bites back a smile and turns, as if surprised. “Oh? Spiderwoman? What a coincidence.”
Minjeong — Spiderwoman — swings down from the rooftop ledge and lands in a little tumble-roll, clearly trying to appear cool despite the fact that she nearly faceplanted. “Wh-what are you doing up here? It's, uh… dangerous.”
y/n blinks innocently. “I just wanted to watch the sunset.”
Minjeong panics. “You could’ve fallen!”
“I had faith you'd catch me.”
That makes Spiderwoman stammer. “Wh— I mean—of course I would! I-I’m always around. Y’know. Just… protecting people.”
“Really?” y/n steps closer, eyes twinkling. “Because you seem to be protecting me a lot lately.”
Silence.
Spiderwoman lets out a nervous laugh, clearly glitching. “Haha… well, you… just have very bad luck, that’s all!”
y/n tilts her head. “Or maybe you like me.”
Spiderwoman makes an inhuman squeak. “W-what?! N-no— I mean yes— I mean no— I mean—!”
y/n walks past her, casually brushing her shoulder as she heads to the exit. “Thanks for the save, Spidey.”
Minjeong is left rooted in place, mask slightly askew, heart pounding. What she didn’t know was that the most stressful week of her life was about to start.
--
Day 1 – Monday:
y/n is standing beneath a ladder that a janitor is using. A bucket of paint just so happens to tilt from the top—
Thwip!
Spiderwoman catches it mid-air with a web, flinging it safely aside.
“You have the best timing.”
“You have the worst luck! Why were you just standing there?”
“Maybe I was hoping you'd show up.”
--
Day 2 – Tuesday:
y/n is carrying a suspiciously tall stack of books down the library stairs. Of course, she trips.
Spiderwoman catches her bridal-style.
“We really have to stop meeting like this.”
“Or you could just—like—not fall off things?!”
--
Day 3 – Wednesday:
y/n stands under a tree during lunch. A bird decides to attack her hair.
Spiderwoman appears out of nowhere, shooing the bird off like some chaotic fairy godmother.
“I feel like a Disney princess with a superhero guardian.”
“You need a leash, is what you need!”
--
Day 4 – Thursday:
y/n reaches to get a soda from a vending machine. The machine glitches. y/n shakes it. The machine teeters.
Spiderwoman swings in, literally kicks the machine to save y/n.
“That was hot.”
“THAT WAS DANGEROUS.”
--
Day 5 – Friday:
The week ends at the school theater. y/n is helping with stage decorations, she’s standing on a wobbly chair.
Of course, it tips.
And of course—Thwip!
y/n falls right into a web… and Spiderwoman’s arms.
She looks up, grinning. “You always catch me.”
Spiderwoman is quiet for a second. “Yeah… always.”
-----
y/n is sprawled on her bed, legs kicking behind her as she scribbles in a pink glittery notebook. At the top of the page in bubble letters:
“Reasons Why Minjeong is Spiderwoman”
Weird bruises she can’t explain
Always disappears before Spiderwoman shows up
Same height, same awkward voice
Adorably clumsy in both identities
I’ve fallen into her arms five times and it’s been the exact same hug every time
Minjeong’s ears turn red just like Spiderwoman’s mask does when she’s flustered
I just know okay???
y/n taps her pen against her lips, grinning to herself. “Time to poke the bear.”
-----
y/n corners Minjeong by her locker, leaning against it casually, smiling like she knows something.
“Hey, Minjeong.”
Minjeong, half-choking on her own spit: “O-oh! H-hi! Good morning! H-how are you!?”
“I’m great, actually. Bit of a weird week though. I’ve been rescued by a superhero like five times.”
Minjeong’s smile falters. “H-ha. That’s… haha… yeah, weird. Really… strange.”
y/n leans closer. “You wouldn’t happen to know anything about that, would you?”
Minjeong is frozen. “Me? Know about what?”
y/n lifts a brow. “Spiderwoman, of course.”
Minjeong nearly drops her books. “Wh-WHY WOULD I— no! I mean no! I mean why would you think I know her? I’m— I’m just—” she gestures vaguely at herself, “Minjeong.”
The other girl hums, eyes twinkling. “Sure you are.”
-----
During lunch, y/n is sitting with Liz, Ryujin, and Yeji at lunch, eyes locked across the room where Minjeong is poking at her food, clearly paranoid.
Yeji leans in. “So, uh… is it working?”
y/n smirks. “She’s one panic away from crawling up the wall.”
Liz smirks right back. “You’re playing with fire.”
Ryujin lets out a laugh. “Honestly? I’m rooting for the flames.”
y/n grins, “I just want her to admit it. And maybe kiss me after.”
--
Minjeong whispers across the table to herself as if in prayer. “I’m so doomed. I’m so, so doomed. She knows. She’s toying with me.”
“Is she flirting or threatening you?” Jimin asks carefully.
“Yes.”
-----
It’s a rare cloudy afternoon in the city, and school let out early due to some power outage. y/n, of course, decided to casually take a stroll toward her favorite boba shop. Alone. In a questionable alley shortcut. With her phone conveniently at 3%.
It was all part of the plan.
What wasn’t part of the plan was the sound of tires screeching way too close.
A reckless driver had hopped the curb just as y/n stepped off it—she froze. For real this time.
Before she could even blink, a blur of red and blue swung down and scooped her up bridal-style, soaring them both safely onto a nearby rooftop.
y/n’s arms are still wrapped tightly around Spiderwoman’s neck when she finally speaks.
“You came,” she whispers, wide-eyed and breathless for real this time.
Spiderwoman, trying to play it cool but visibly trembling, replies shakily, “Y-yeah, of course. You were—um—danger. Dangerous. In—no, wait. In danger.”
y/n doesn’t let go. In fact, she gets more comfortable, her voice going soft and sincere. “You’ve saved me so many times this week. I think it’s time I thanked you properly.”
Minjeong’s voice cracks through the mask. “Th-that’s not necessary! I-I mean, your safety is thanks enough—”
y/n leans in slowly, her fingers brushing the edge of the mask. “Just one kiss. For all the times you caught me.”
Before Minjeong can fully short-circuit, the girl in her arms lifts the mask just enough to reveal her lips—and kisses her.
It’s soft. Sure. But it sends Minjeong’s brain into a system reboot. Her hands, still holding y/n, stiffen like she’s forgotten how to human. Her knees buckle. Her heart stops.
And when y/n pulls back, grinning like the cat that caught the spider, she whispers right against Minjeong’s lips.
“Hi, Minjeong.”
Minjeong gasps. “W-WHAT?!”
“Told you I’d figure it out.”
Minjeong’s voice goes high-pitched. “You—You KISSED me to REVEAL ME?! That’s—that’s cheating! That’s emotional sabotage! That’s—”
y/n just laughs, cupping her cheek. “You looked cute in the suit. I had to know if you tasted sweet too.”
Minjeong genuinely collapsed.
-----
Two weeks had passed since The Rooftop Incident.
And Minjeong had not known peace.
Every time she turned a corner, y/n was there — smirking, tossing her hair, leaning against lockers like she was starring in her own rom-com, and absolutely thriving in the knowledge that she’d cracked the biggest secret in school. The one person who hadn’t been fooled? Of course, it was the girl who practically lived in Minjeong’s head.
Minjeong, meanwhile, had barely survived.
She had walked into four poles, missed two stair steps, and accidentally called her chemistry teacher “Your Majesty” once.
And now here they were, on the school rooftop again. This time, no mask, no excuses. Just them.
y/n sat with her legs dangling off the ledge, sipping from a strawberry juice box like she didn’t just alter the course of Minjeong’s entire life.
“So,” she said casually, “how does it feel to be exposed?”
Minjeong groaned beside her, flopping dramatically onto the concrete. “Humiliating. Debilitating. Traumatizing.”
y/n laughed. “You’re so dramatic. You got kissed by a pretty girl on a rooftop. That’s basically fanfiction-level romance.”
Minjeong covered her face with both hands. “You tricked me!”
“You kissed me back,” y/n shot back smugly.
“I panicked!”
“You cupped my waist.”
“…Nervous muscle memory!”
y/n leaned over her, face inches away, eyes soft now. “You can admit it, y’know. That you like me.”
Minjeong peeked through her fingers. “That obvious, huh?”
y/n nodded. “Like, painfully. I think even the pigeons knew.”
Minjeong sat up slowly, still pink from head to toe. “Fine. I like you. I’ve liked you forever. Since… before I even got bit, honestly. I was gonna tell you, eventually. Maybe. After graduation… or on my deathbed.”
y/n giggled, nudging her shoulder. “You’re lucky I like awkward nerds with superpowers.”
Minjeong blinked. “Wait—wait, you like me too?”
y/n scoffed. “What do you think the kissing was for? Science?”
“…That would’ve been less stressful, actually.”
y/n rolled her eyes affectionately and stood, dusting off her skirt. “Come on. Walk me home?”
Minjeong scrambled to her feet. “You want me to swing you?”
“Nope,” y/n said sweetly. “I want you to walk me. No suit. No excuses. Just my girlfriend.”
Minjeong choked. “Girlfriend?!”
y/n grinned, already heading for the stairs. “I kissed you as a thank you. You kissed me back. I’m just accepting your proposal.”
Minjeong stared after her, stunned. Then, with a dreamy little smile pulling at her lips, she jogged to catch up.
--
y/n leaned on the railing, watching the skyline, sipping another juice box. Behind her, a thump — the soft sound of someone landing.
“You’re late,” she said without turning.
Spiderwoman chuckled softly. “Some jerk locked himself out of his apartment five floors up. Had to help.”
y/n turned, arms crossed. “Mmm. Classic excuse. Got your priorities all out of whack.”
Spiderwoman stepped forward, mask half-off already. “But I made it, didn’t I?”
y/n softened instantly, walking up to her. “You always do.”
They stood there for a beat. Close, quiet.
y/n reached out, brushing a bit of hair from Minjeong’s face.
“You know,” she said softly, “I fell for both versions of you. The dork and the hero.”
Minjeong took her hand. “They’re the same girl, you know.”
“I know.” y/n smiled. “That’s why I’m keeping you.”
Minjeong leaned in, voice gentle. “Then I guess I’m yours.”
y/n pulled her close. “About time.”
--
One Week Later – Group Chat: [Jimin, Aeri, Yizhuo, y/n, Minjeong]

Bonus:
Six months later...
The morning sun poured through the half-open blinds, casting streaks of golden light across the tangled sheets. In the middle of the bed, Minjeong lay on her stomach, one leg hanging off the side, her face buried into the pillow. Her hair was sticking up at odd angles — clearly a victim of the night’s tossing and turning.
On the other side, y/n sat cross-legged, fully awake, brushing her teeth with a lollipop in her mouth.
“Minjeong,” she said through the candy stick. “You’re going to be late.”
Minjeong groaned. “Spiderwoman doesn’t do mornings.”
y/n poked her. “Spiderwoman also has physics first period and a quiz on friction.”
“…Friction is my enemy.”
y/n’s eyes sparkled. “I dunno, you didn’t seem to hate friction last night when—”
Minjeong launched a pillow at her with deadly precision.
y/n collapsed into giggles, hands up in surrender.
Later, in the kitchen, Minjeong, finally upright and conscious, munched on toast while leaning heavily against the counter.
y/n was in front of her, poking through a box of labeled gadgets Minjeong had been tinkering with. “What’s this one do?”
“Glows in the dark. Kind of useless but cool.”
“And this?”
“Explodes glitter.”
Pause.
“…That one’s for emergencies only.”
y/n’s eyebrows wiggled. “Define emergency.”
Minjeong deadpanned, If I ever forget your birthday.”
y/n smiled wide, leaning up to kiss her cheek. “You’re lucky you’re cute.”
Minjeong smiled down at her, eyes soft behind her glasses. “Lucky I’ve got you.”
--
Spiderwoman crouched on the edge of a building, surveying the city below.
Behind her, a voice crackled through her communicator. y/n’s voice.
“You know,” y/n said teasingly, “I think I liked you better when you were mysterious and broody. Now you’re just a soft little nerd with a grappling hook.”
Minjeong grinned under the mask. “You loved me when I was mysterious. You’re in love with me now.”
A pause.
Then her girlfriend replied, voice warm. “Yeah. I really am.”
Spiderwoman stood, wind brushing past her, and smiled out at the world.
She was awkward, nerdy, still tripped over her own feet half the time — but she was loved. Fully, completely, and fearlessly.
And with y/n in her corner?
She felt like she could do anything.
--
A Newscast Playing on a Shop Window:
“—and once again, Spiderwoman swooped in to stop a carjacking near the downtown plaza. Eyewitnesses say she seemed… embarrassed to take credit—”
y/n passed by the window, sipping her iced coffee, wearing Minjeong’s oversized hoodie. She glanced at the screen, smirked, and whispered to herself,
“Dork.”
Then she walked off down the street — texting one-handed.
y/n:
Miss you already.
Don’t fall off a roof.
I want cuddles when you’re back.
And my hoodie. Maybe.
Spiderwoman:
saving the world. brb.
but yes. cuddles.
and you can try to take the hoodie back.

You kneel down to your little sister’s height and hold her small little shoulders “Okay Ines, how should you behave around his apartment?” Ines rolls her eyes “I should behave and be respectful.” she enthusiastically says.
Well, at least she knows. You did a soft smile and patted her head “Be a good girl okay? I’ll pick you up at six.” you stood up and rang the doorbell of Dick’s apartment.
He opened the door, his hair was wet and there was a towel hanging over his shoulder.
When he saw you, a big smile was plastered on his face. When he first sees you, he would often look excited or just really happy. It was cute.
“Hey, what brings you here?” he asks as he leans through the door. You scratched your neck, “Uh, are you okay with babysitting?” you asked him. Dick raises a brow and looks down to see your little sister clinging on your leg.
He smiles and kneels down “Why hello there.” he greets, Ines’ cheeks were puffed and she refused to look at from him.
He stood back up “I didn’t knew you had a little sister.” you only shrugged “Yeah, a lot of people say that.” you told him, But anyways, are you free to babysit her? If not, it's fine. I’ll just bring her with me.” He held your shoulder “No, no it's fine. Come in both of you.” Ines goes in first to explore his apartment.
“So where are you headed?” Dick asks, you placed Ines’ bag on the table.
“I’m auditioning for the troupe I'm talking about. I'm really hoping to get in.” you reply with determination, Dick had always known your fascination with the art of theater and would always support whatever you plan to do.
Dick smiles and nodded “Wait? Seriously? That's great! You're gonna do amazing.” he lightly punched your shoulder.
Dick looks back at Ines who is playing with Haley now “How old is she, by the way?” he asked.
You looked back at your sister “Ines? She's six.” you say “But before you think of anything, she's quite the troublemaker..” you lowered your voice, Ines gets offended when you tell people this.
It was true though. Anyone who would babysit her would agree, people would complain that she was a brat and she was too hard to please. You were often dumbfounded by this information because she was never like this around you.
Dick shrugs “Well, as long as she doesn’t mess with anything dangerous. I’ll be fine.”
You sighed in relief “Thanks Dick.” you smiled at him. You called your little sister “Ines!” she approached you “Yes?”
“This is Dick, he’ll be babysitting you.” Ines raised her brow “Dick? Who named you? That’s so cruel.” she directly said “Ines.” you warned.
Dick didn’t really care, he thought it was funny. He found it endearing the way your little sibling was just calling him that so bluntly. He knelt down to her level and smiled patiently “Well, my full name’s Richard, and my nickname is Dick,” he explained.
“I am Ines.” she says. Dick only smiled and tilted his head “No really?” he asked sarcastically. She scrunches her nose “Yes I am!” she protested.
You sighed “Well I’m going, I might be late. You two be nice to each other.” you stood up from the couch. “Oh, let me lead you out.” Dick says following you.
“Okay, if it helps she hates anything with garlic and she's afraid of spiders.” you advised him. Dick nods, taking note “Okay, what else?”
Dick sees you slowly smile at his question “She’s a huge Nightwing fan.” you checked the time on your watch “I need to go, I can’t be late. I’ll see you at six I love you.” you kissed him goodbye and you left the apartment.
He was a bit shocked, well at least it made sense why you picked him to babysit. He waves you goodbye and closes the door, this was going to be interesting.
Ines was standing in front of him, her big eyes staring at his. “So, Ines. Your sister told me you were a big fan of Nightwing, huh?” he said with a smile.
“He’s the coolest. Cooler than batman.” she replies.
If his ego wasn’t so massive already, he was sure it just got 10 times bigger with the words coming out of a 6 year old.
“Oh really? You think he’s cooler than Batman?” Ines nods “Yeah definitely.” Ines says “I don’t care what others think, I think he’s cooler!” she claims.
Dick chuckles “And what makes Nightwing cooler than Batman then?” he asks with an amused expression.
“He’s just better.” she simply says, Dick smirks. “Well, I have some stuff you’ll definitely like.”
You rang the doorbell at Dick’s apartment. Dick opened the door with a smile and leaned against the door frame.
“Hey, you’re back, looking more beautiful than ever.” he said as he looked at you from head to toe. You raised your brow “You’re blocking the door, did you two do something?”
Dick chuckled nervously and stood straight. He moved aside to allow you to get in.
“I actually had a lot of fun babysitting your sister,” he says, he shoved his hands in his pockets and watched you walk further in.
As you entered the room, you were stunned. Your bag dropped on the floor as you scanned the room.
There were a bunch of wing dings stuck on the floor and the ceiling. The couch was a mess and your little sister was wearing a Nightwing mask.
“What the fu..”
Dick stood behind you and gave you a very innocent smile. While Ines just stood there “Hi sis.” she smiles at you.
“What? We were just playing a little,” he said, trying to act innocent “She’s a really cool kid.”
You sighed and shook your head “At least it’s not my apartment.” Dick walked to your side and wrapped his arm around your shoulder, looking at the mess that the both of them made.
“You’re not mad at me, right?” he asked. “Well, no. You had fun with her, that’s all that matters.” you answer his question.
“Good-” he pulled you closer to him and looked at you, his blue eyes locking with yours. “Cause I’d hate for my pretty girlfriend to be mad at me.”
You scoffed and rolled your eyes. “Yeah right.”
Behind him, Ines was taking the nightwing mask off and looking at you two with narrowed eyes. “Are you dating him?” she directly asks.
You looked back at her with a stern cool face “Yeah? So?” you wrapped your arms around him “He’s mine not yours.”
Ines frowns “What? Noo! He doesn't belong to anyone!” she pulls your shirt, not wanting you to steal him from her.
“Sorry kid,” Dick says with a smirk. “I’m all hers now.” Dick tightened his hold on you, as if he was trying to prove something.
Ines furrowed her brows “Bitewing get her!” your eyes widened “Bitewing?” Then, Haley pounced on you, biting fiercely on your Jeans “Ah- hey!” you exclaimed.
“Haley no! Down!”

someone asked me not a long time ago, why i get upset if anyone kills a spider in my presence. here's my not very little answer. idk. thoughts,,
i like little things. tiny creatures that crawl around here and there. i think spiders are cute, and when i look at one, my brain goes to my childhood, where i was spending time watching cross orbweavers weave their webs every late evening. watching them do that was an escape for me. every summer i had a few spiders in our garden that i would name and check on them every night. what did they caught? did they eat? how is their web? did they molt? how are they doing? lifting rocks was always about finding something under them. going outside in the night with a flashlight was a whole adventure of "who will i see today in the grass" and realizing that after the sunset life is completely different. i was always afraid of the dark, and big pitch black sky with the stars kinda scared me as a child. so when i was overwhelmed by the space and the feeling of how small and meaningless and lost on a rock in an endless cosmos i am, i was looking under my feet with a flashlight to find something even smaller, closer, familiar and calming. seing tiny creatures was always about learning to understand, to be curious, and to be gentle. to understand that even if you don't mean to, you can hurt someone by accident, and they can get scared and bite back, so better be gentle to begin with. it was about learning to be kind. it was also learning about life and death since they live much shorter life. to appreciate a moment that can't last forever. seeing people around them was sometimes a lesson about hate, that was quite confusing to me. i didn't understand why would people just go to something small and smash it. later on in life, when i was bullied in school i didn't try to see a reason. lesson learned, i thought. people tend to hate when you somehow, in their mind, don't belong somewhere. but growing up loving small things was such a nice experience. i've seen a lot. i've learned a lot. i've held so many beautiful creatures in my hands. so yes, i get upset if people kill spiders, insects, crustaceans, worms etc when i'm around. i don't see it being necessary. and yes, there aren't many very poisonous things where i live. still, anywhere you are there are a few options if there's a spider on a wall. so yes, again, i love little things crawling around. during winter, with no little crawlies outside, the world is awfully dead and quiet to me. all little random house spiders are welcome to make their web somewhere in the corner of my room. if a spider is reading this - you are always welcome, i love u
#love letter to spiders and other crawlies around#barghest barks#there are so many thoughts but my brain is suddenly empy. apologies#also might be typos#i didn't read it after typing#yeaghh

Hiii friend!! Could i get a Norm adopts the Sarentu ask kids and also Spider? In this universe the timeline is a bit different, right after the final battle of A1 the Sarentu are still kids and after Ahari’s death, Alma manages to help them escape and send them far away ( aka to where the omatikaya live) so Mercer can’t get to them. And there Norm adopts them after he had already adopted Spider. And then siblings shenanigans ensue.
OOOOOOOOOOOH~!!! YES YES YES~!! TIME FOR NORM TO SHINE ON THIS ONE! HOPE YOU ENJOY~!
P.S: The sarentu player is named paw in this story , also paw and telisi are girls. Yefti is mute and a boy!
-------------
Full house
Norm was just norm. A skinny, nerdy guy with a huge fascination with anything foreign and new. He was just as normal as his name. Norm. He is not much of a warrior like his best friend, or a snappy, demanding director like his old friend and mentor Grace. Yes he is strong when needed to be, not afraid to be in the front lines when it is called.
He is not a lot of things. That much is certain. What norm is, is a nature loving, gentle soul, loyal, respectful, kinda, and above all, loving.
What norm is not, or more over, what he never thought he would ever be, is a parent.
Not a parent to one child, he never expected he would be a parent to 9 children.
One human, and 8 na’vi children.
“You’re kidding” norm says, not really believing what he just heard.
“I am not, believe me norm, I almost didn't believe it at first either” Jake says.
“No, I have to hear it myself. Replay it” norm says, max nods, replaying a message they were sent just an hour ago.
It was an audio, a bit scuffled but loud and clear was the voice of a woman.
“Hello? This is Alma Cortez. I am a researcher and Co director of TAP. An education branch of the RDA. I don't have a lot of time but I am seeking help from the RDA rebels, more specifically Jake sully, aka Toruk Makto, and Grace Agustine. There are na’vi children here being held against their will. They need help and I alone cannot do it. I need-God damn it! Grace if you are hearing this, please! I need your help! They are not all dead! I repeat! The Sarentu children are alive!”
Norm can say he has been into battles and raids enough times to see some patterns, alternatives, can even predict how it will end. Call it cheesy but he is the man of loyalty and would do anything to protect those he cares about.
Among the people he has come to care about more than his own life, was his newly adopted son that enjoy being called “spider”
Bright, crazy, and will try different ways to kill himself simply by being curious of the world he was born in. A walking happy, stress inducing little being spider is for Norm. Full of surprises, and norm enjoys that.
The biggest surprise was him being born.
And norm is always grateful for that, always thanking Eywa everyday. Yup, parenthood sure is something not many today plan for.
“Well, each of us can watch over him, like that old saying goes, ‘it takes a village to raise a child’” Max suggests. A group of the science guys have found baby spiders in the old dormitories for the female soldiers. Only a few months old, skinny little guy.
It wasn't long before they did a DNA scan of who he belonged to. The results were both scary yet unsurprising. It was after that many did not wish to get involved with the baby.
“I will do it” , the norm says, more like announcing it.
Picking up spider, wrapping him up in his little blankie, he says it again, “I will be his parent”
“Does this count as a reverse kidnapping?” Max asks.
It was night, using nature to cover the scorpion plane, waiting for an important package. Jake, Norm, Trudy, Max and Grace were all waiting patiently for Alma to come to them with the sarentu children that were being held within the human facility.
“I see it as a rescue mission” Trudy says, her eyes not being away from her port.
“It is a rescue mission” Grace affirms, her eyes scanning through the foliage for any movement. Being silent and listening carefully for any sounds of footsteps. Her concentration was a bit out of character for her. None have seen her this serious before.
“It will be a huge cultural shock to these poor kids” max says, filling out the silence of the soundless night.
“Cultural? More of a world shock, metal walls and holograms is all they ever knew” Jake replies. All of them have heard the tragic news of a fallen na’vi clan, how there were no survivors and even more tragic there was no way to help them. Grace was more hit on a personal level, felt more helpless, as feeling that it was somehow her fault when really it wasn't.
“They will struggle, a lot of struggling, getting back to their roots and relearn everything. It's very sad " Norm comments. His thoughts drift to spider, thinking what it would have been like for his son. To be brainwashed and never been allowed to do things that he was born to do. A hell no child should go through.
“I know I am thinking ahead but…..who will take in these kids?” Trudy asks suddenly.
“Hi! Im spider! And I am your big brother!” little spider proudly points to himself as he talks to the newly arrived na’vi children. He was so excited to meet them the moment norm told him who was coming. New friends and new siblings!
“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Jake asks, he and his friends huddle on the farthest corner of the old hells gate. Everyone watching the sarentu children carefully.
“They seem very comfortable with spider” Max points out.
“Its because he is human, didn't you see their faces? Seeing native na’vi? They looked horrified, "Grace whispers.
“STAY AWAY!! LEAVE US ALONE!!”
“ENGLISH!! WE DON'T UNDERSTAND YOU!!”
“THEY ARE GOING TO KILL US!!”
8 sarentu children huddled together, tears flowing down from their eyes, little bodies trembling in fear. Circling the younger ones, as they all scream and cry in utter terror. Surrounding them was what was supposed to be a welcoming celebration to these unfortunate children. What was supposed to be loving, cheerful, and harmouns, the children only feared things that they don't understand.
And what they dont understand is the native na’vi are right in front of them, speaking in a language they dont understand.
“And what is your name…?” Norm asks softly to the sniffling children, after what felt like forever with a touch of a miracle, the sarentu children have calmed down. A great thanks to Norm. Using his already experience with spider, he flawlessly managed to gather the 8 children and have them stop crying.
“M-my name is nor…” the little boy stutters out as he wipes away his tears. Holding hands with little teylan and ri’nela.
“That is a wonderful name, and you” norm compliments as he turns to one of the little girls. Looking down shyly as she plays with her hands, “my name is paw….”
“Im t-telisi….” another little girl says, being slightly more confident. Holding her hand was one of the older children. He was trying to look tough, brave and tall. Norm knew he too was scared inside but rather not show it.
“This is Yuayt….and-”
“ACHOO!!”
Telisi was cut off from a sneeze, coming from another little girl.
“And she is okni, she gets sick easily,” Telisi informs.
Okni was rubbing her nose when another little boy, ripping a piece of his shirt to wipe her nose.
“And that is yefti….”
Norm took a good look at all of the sarentu children. He was about the make the more bizarre choice ever in his life. Perhaps more bizarre than all of the bizarre ideas. He was gonna make all of these sarentu children into Spellman children.
“Come on slow pokes!!”
“Yeah! I'm smaller yet faster than any of you!!”
“Telisi! Spider! Be Careful!”
9 little spellman children were exploring the vast forest that was now their forever home. There is always an adventure to explore, little mysteries to solve and skills to hone.
Spider and Telisi make way for their other siblings as they fearlessly go ahead. Not far behind was nor and ri’nela with teylan between them. Nor trying his best to keep while ri’nela takes her sweet time. Behind them yuayt giving okni a piggyback right while paw was holding okni’s hand and yefti being comfortably silent beside them.
“Feeling any better okni?” paw asks, giving her sister a gentle squeeze on her hand. Okni nods, giving a reassuring smile.
“That medicine better work, or else we will use the medicine that humans use” yuayt says.
Paw frowns a bit, “don't be like that, the tsahik is a master of healing. It is her life's job, why do you still doubt her skills?” she asks her brother. Yefti also gives a disapproving look to his brother.
“It's been a year already and Okni is still sick. In my eyes, there hasn't been any changes” yuayt replies.
“She stopped having accidents at night. Not puking as much and can now sleep through the night without any interruptions. I see that as major progress” yefti signs. Trying to points out the positive outcomes from mo’ats medicines.
“He is right, and okni can eat more now!” paw adds.
“Not enough” yuayt scoffs.
“Dont be meanie” okni whispers as she gently pokes her brother's cheek.
Yuayt stopped complaining after that.
“Spider! Telisi! Slow down! Ma’eywa!” nor shouts, giving up on telling his siblings to not go that far ahead.
Ri’nela giggles as she helps Teylan go over a big tree root.
“It is futile brother, they are just too energetic” she says. Nor sighs, she is right. Out of everyone, his two older siblings are such a chaotic duo. They were slowing down for the other trio to catch up.
Teylan looks over to see yefti and smiles, “YEEYEE!!” he shouts excitedly.
Yefti smiles, seeing his baby brother and runs over to him. Teylan reaches out his little arms, wanting to be picked up, to which yefti happily complies.
“You spoil him brother” nor says.
Yefti merely shrugs, “it makes him happy. Also he wants to copy okni” he signs.
“Speaking of, I can carry okni if you are getting tired yuayt” ri’nela offers as her brother gets closer.
Yuayt shakes his head, “im fine, okni is lighter than that little fatty”
Okni hit him in the back of the head, “done be a meanie, teylan isnt fat, just squishy” she gently scolds.
“Eerr….teylan’s appetite is growing…” paw says.
“Its fine, with all the running and climbing, he won't be squishy forever” ri’nela says as she gives teylan a playful pinch on his chubby cheeks.
“He won't if yefti keeps carrying him like a baby” nor comments.
“Teylan is a baby” yefti signs.
“I'm gonna beat you spider man!!” telisi teases.
“NEVER!!! They don't call me monkey boy for nothing!!” spider shouts.
Both laugh and cheer to their hearts content as they run through the vast forest, not caring to stop. Letting the wind hit their faces, overcoming any obstacle and quick thinking.
Climbing to the floating mountains do they see their goal.
“I'm gonna win~!!” telisi shouts enthusiastically.
Spider summoned all his strength and went even faster, going past telisi and makes the leap of faith.
“SPIDER!!!” his sister screams, stopping to witness him jump from the edge of the cliff and flying towards the nearest landing.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!”
Spider braced for impact, his side landing first on the rocky ground. Grunting in pain, and a bit dizzy, he shakly gets up. Dusting off the dirt and rubble, he laughs.
“HA!!! I WIN!!” he cheers.
Telisi shakes her head, huffing loudly.
“Dad is going to skin you…”
“OOOOOOOWW!! OWOWOWOWOW!!!” the spider squeaks in pain.
Ri’nela sighs, trying to gently tend to his bruising and scratches.
“You are lucky dad is busy with Jake, he will be very angry when he finds out what you did” she scolds her big brother.
Spider chuckles a bit, “I couldn't let telisi beat me, my record would be broken”
“I like competition brother, but never when it comes to risking our lives” telisi shouts across from the room they are in.
Okni hears spider in pain, and quietly goes over to him, silently offering some of her medicine. Spider gently denies.
“I'm ok sis. Don't waste your medicine, you need it more than I do”
Okni slight frowns. Offering it again.
“Spider is right. It is not easy for the tsahik to make that medicine, okni. Only you can use it” ri’nela says as she adds the last bandaged on spider’s side.
“Kiri can make some. We can ask her” okni finally speaks, clutching her herb pouch.
“Kiri is too busy looking at pretty flowers to make medicine” yuayt scoffs. He and teylan were messing with some old technology equipment. More like yuayt trying to make sure no small piece gets into teylan’s mouth.
“Can anything positive come out of your snarky mouth?” nor asks a bit sarcastically. Earning a glare from yuayt, “When you stop bitching like a-”
“Ok that's enough you two” spider interrupts what could be another round of word fighting.
Yuayt rolls his eyes, lifting teylan from the table, handing him over to yefti who gladly accepts. Grabbing his knife and gun, he makes his way to the exit. The other kids following his movement.
“And where are you going?” telisi asks.
“Somewhere” yuayt replies and leaves.
Almost everyone shakes their head.
“I will get the fire started, no doubt he is coming back with some good yerik” ri’nela informs. Telisi and Paw quickly helped her.
Norm walks into his home after saying his nightly farewells to Jake and his family. It was a long day with so many things to do, but happy he will come home to his kids. Chuckling to himself, norm cant help but smile widely. It has been a year since the kids were rescued from the hellish TAP facility and already have grown so much.
A lot has happened, overcoming trauma is not an easy thing. The Sarentu children were easily scared when starting to live here. Scared about everything, even seeing other na’vi. Norm still couldnt believe a lot has progressed over one year. Though not all is perfect and not every wound is healed.
There is still a lot left to do for these kids, his kids.
And speaking of his kids, norm opens the door and-
“TOO MUCH SALT IS BAD!!”
“NO! IT MAKES IT TASTY!!”
“WHERE DID YOU EVEN GET THAT?!”
“FROM YOUR ASS! WHERE ELSE IDIOT! THE KITCHEN!”
Yup, another round of spellman chaos.
“HEY!”
All the spellman children stopped what they were doing and stared at norm.
“DAD!!” they all cheered. Forgetting about their argument, everyone ran towards their father. Jumping on him, hugging him, shouting so many things at the same time.
“Easy! One at a time!” He tries to settle down the kids.
“Dad! Nor added too much salt into the stew!”
“So what?!”
“Daaaaaaaaaaad!! Yuayt called nor a bitch again!”
“Dad dad dad!!! Spider did a dumb move today!!”
“Why are you snitching on me!? Dad I know who telisi’s crush is”
“DON'T YOU DARE!!”
“OK OK!! QUIET DOWN!!” norm shouts.
Everyone dispersed, giving norm room to get up and observe what is going on. From the smell and obvious pot cooking, it smelled like yerik meat stew. Knowing instantly, norm turns to yauyt.
“Did you hunt today?” he asks.
Yuayt shrugs, “why ask if you already know the answer”
Yefti slapped his arm, “really?” he signs.
Paw tugged on norms shirt, eagerly wanting to say something.
“Yes paw?” norm turns to her.
“Can we watch a movie after eating?” she asks, trying to look cute to convince him. Ruffling her hair, norm smiles, “lets eat first then we shall se
“Dad,” Telisi calls. Now turning to her, norm lets her continue.
“Spider jumped off a cliff and almost died” she tattles.
“SPIDER WHAT?!”
“SNITCHES GET STITCHES!!” spider warns.
“WHO IS WEARING THE STITCHES RIGHT NOW?!”
“Finally…..” norm can breathe in relaxation. After a hearty meal the food coma hit everyone.
Norm tucks little teylan between paw and yefti. Beside paw was Okni, who was also beside yuat. On the other side of yefti was nor and ri’nela. Spider and Telisi were sleeping over their other sleeping siblings. As if to protect them even as they slumber through the night.
Norm quietly observes the children. Everyday he gives his best, gives his thanks as he couldnt believe his luck. 9 beautiful children. Chaotic and rowdy but good kids.
Many wonder how norm does it. Every time he is asked, “how do you do it?” or “have you lost your mind yet?”
Many times was norm close to losing his mind, but knows better. Constantly reminding himself that his children could have been in worse situations. That they wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the call for help.
Jake at times would say “got a full house there norm”
Yeah, he was right. A single man trying to raise 9 kids does insane, lunatic, but norm enjoys all of it. And there is nothing in this world or the next would norm trade it for anything. His kids are not just sarentu or human kids, no, they are spellman children and norm be damned if others say anything else.
Aaaaaaaand that is it for this one! This fic took me a good while because I was trying to get every scrap of information about the other sarentu children. See what personalities I can create.
Until the other sarentu children are properly shown in the frontiers, this is what I cam up with. So I hope you guys enjoyed it! Until next time! See ya!

COMFORTING HUGS
Hobie Brown x Reader
Warnings: fluffy hurt/comfort story, fem!Spider!R, use of Y/n and petnames that i love, father figure Miguel, maybe ooc Hobie?
///
When you returned to the Spider Society you had your head down and your gaze fixed on the floor. You didn't have the courage to look into the eyes of all the other Spider men and women around you, because you could already hear them whispering to each other when you passed by them. Rumors went around really fast.
"It looks like it went badly for Y/n again today"
"I heard that this time even Gwen risked her life"
"At this point i don't know if i'll ever want to go on a mission with her"
You closed your eyes in shame. You wanted to cover your ears with your hands and you would have much preferred that in that moment there was a hole under you, ready to sink you, rather than face everyone else.
Someone put a hand on your shoulder and you lifted your head, meeting Gwen's eyes.
"Hey, don't worry Y/n. It's okay, don't listen to them mh?"
You looked at her with shining eyes and you nodded slowly, silently, not trusting yourself to speak.
You and Gwen made it to the headquarter, where, of course, there was the only one person you were afraid to face right now.
Miguel was standing there in front of you, with his back to you. Luckily for you, Jess wasn't there with him, simply because she'd gone with her team to clean up the mess you'd just made. You couldn't have put up with a lecture from her too.
The platform Miguel was standing on slowly dropped to the ground and he stepped off it, then slowly walked towards you and Gwen.
Immediately you lowered your head again and a few seconds later you saw his feet appear before your eyes.
"Are you going to explain to me what happened today?" you heard him say it in such a severe tone that it made the blood run cold in your veins.
Initially you said nothing and Gwen tried to speak for you.
"Miguel, it wasn't her fault. We had some problems and-"
"I didn't ask you, Gwen" Miguel interrupted "I asked her"
You hesitated again, playing with your fingers and feeling your palms and forehead begin to sweat.
"Y/n. Look at me in the eyes" Miguel ordered you.
You complied, lifting your head to look at him. He stared back with his hands resting on his hips and his head tilted slightly to one side.
"So?" he asked you.
You swallowed a lump of saliva.
"T-There was a problem with the anomaly. It was stronger than expected and so i formulated a plan, but it went wrong and-"
"A plan that was totally different from what i ordered you to do. Or am i wrong?" he said, irritated. "Haven't i already told you more than once, that you must do everything possible not to interfere with the canon events?"
You nodded slowly.
"Yes, Miguel and i'm sorry. But... But there were a lot of civilians risking their lives and we couldn't let them die"
"Yet to save the lives of people you don't even know you almost risked Gwen's life, your friend!" he exclaimed suddenly making you jump "Not to mention you even let the anomaly escape! And now, because of you, a lot of other people have to work to fix the mess YOU caused! You almost ruined the canon and it's not even the first time this has happened, Y/n!"
While he cursed with his hands thrown in anger, you clenched your hands in two fists, feeling your heart pounding. Gwen stepped forward, raising a hand.
"Miguel, it was my fault too, really. Not just hers" she said trying to defend you, but he didn't listen to her.
He turned to look at you again, pointing a finger at you.
"Listen to me Y/n, i have no idea what's going on with you. At first i thought you were just having a bad time, but it's been a while since you did your job properly" he said and you nodded again feeling guilty. "This has to stop. Because i didn't take you under my wing just to let you ruin everything me and the others are doing"
You felt your eyes become watery with tears.
"You're right. I'm sorry Miguel, i'll do my best next time. I promise"
Miguel looked into your eyes for a few seconds and then sighed.
"There won't be a next time"
At those words, your heart sank.
"W-What?"
"I want you to take a long break from the Spider Society. And only when Jess and i are really sure that you will be able to work like before again, then you can start again with the missions"
"Miguel you can't!" Gwen called to him and he turned away from you again.
You felt your legs turn to jelly, but you managed to stay standing.
"I don't know if this is because of Spiderpunk's influence, but i don't even care anymore" Miguel continued. "Whatever the problem is Y/n, don't show up here until it's resolved. Because until now, you've done nothing but disappoint me"
Your eyes were fixed on the figure of Miguel as he climbed onto his platform, but your mind was completely elsewhere. Gwen gave you a pitying look. She was perhaps the only one who could understand what you were feeling in that moment. Hearing those words come out of the mouth of someone you considered as a mentor, actually almost a father, hurt more than a stab in the chest. Not to mention the guilt about the mission and all the trouble you created Jess, Gwen and Miguel.
Gwen tried to touch your shoulder with a hand, but as soon as her fingers touched you, you turned on your heels, walking quickly out of the headquarter.
Gwen glared at Miguel, seeing him wipe his face with a pained sigh. Gwen watched you run away and even though she wanted to follow you to comfort you, she knew there was no need, because you were going to the only person who could really comfort you.
///
When you exited the portal, you weren't surprised to find Hobie already sitting on the couch in your living room. After all, you told him that he was allowed to show up at your house whenever he needed it.
Hobie looked up from his guitar as he sensed your presence.
"Hey luv, how was it with Gwendy?" he asked you with a smile, but it vanished as soon as he noticed the tears streaming down your face.
You tried to wipe your tears away with your hands as Hobie immediately rose to his feet, walking towards you.
"What happened? Why are you crying?" he asked frantically, placing both hands on your cheeks and lifting your face to look at him. "Please talk to me, sweetheart"
"H-Hobie... I-I... I'm sorry..."
You sniffed, but when you tried to speak only strangled sobs escaped your lips.
"Oh, darlin'. Come here"
Hobie held you against his body, one arm along your back and the other across your head, making you cry into his denim jacket.
"Deep breaths, come on. 'S okay, breathe" he murmured, occasionally leaving a few kisses on your hair. "I'm here, it's alright sweetheart"
So after a few minutes of weeping against his body, the sobs finally stopped. You continued to sniff and Hobie put a hand on your face to pull you away from him slightly so he could look you in the eyes again.
"So... Who do i have to hit in the face with my guitar?" he asked you with a smile and even though you were feeling at your worst, you felt the corners of your lips slightly bend upwards.
"M-Miguel..." you murmured.
"What did he tell you? What did he do?"
As you remembered Miguel's words you squinted, letting the last tears flow and Hobie wasted no time wiping them away with his thumb.
"Nothing, it's just..." you murmured, taking a small breath and looking at the floor. "It was terrible today"
Hobie cocked his head slightly to the side, giving you a small, encouraging smile. With the same hand he had on your cheek, he brushed a tuft of hair from your forehead, but he said nothing, leaving you time to speak.
"I failed my mission again. I thought.... I thought i had everything under control, but i messed it up again. The anomaly escaped and Gwen almost died because of me! A-And now Jess and the others have to sort out the mess i did again and nobody wants to work with me anymore! And Miguel hates me, he said he doesn't want me at the HQ anymore and he said i'm a disappointment to him and-"
"Hey hey, honey', let's stop here for a sec huh?" Hobie interrupted, grabbing both of your hands and bringing them to his chest. "If you keep talking so fast you'll end up losing all the air. So take a deep breath now, come on"
Hobie took a breath and you copied it, in through your nose and out through your mouth. You did that a couple more times and then he gave you another smile.
"Better?" he asked you.
You nodded, tightening your grip around his hands.
"Yeah... I mean, actually no, but yeah. Thanks"
"Okay. Why don't you sit down for a few seconds? Come on"
He dragged you by the hand to the sofa he was sitting on a while ago and after moving his guitar, he made you sit on it. Hobie didn't sit next to you, but opted to crouch between your legs, looking up at you with his hands on your knees.
"Everything's been going wrong ever since i failed the first time" you murmured, playing with your fingers. "I don't know what's happening to me, i just know that i'm stressed and i'm not thinking straight. And i just keep mess things up"
"Do you know what Miguel said?" you asked him. "He thinks you've influenced me in some way and he thinks it's your fault"
"Darlin'..." he tried to call you and you kept your eyes on the ground.
Hobie said nothing, but looked at you as if he wasn't surprised at all by your words.
"But i know you had nothing to do with it, Hobie. And i'm sorry Miguel thinks that about you. But maybe he and the others are right. Do you think… Would it be better if i stopped being Spiderwoman?"
Hobie's eyes widened slightly and you bit your lower lip, closing your eyes.
"Y/n, sweetheart. Look at me" he said and after a few seconds you obeyed, reopening your eyes to look at him. "Listen to me, you can't stop being Spiderwoman. Your universe needs you. You're an important part of the Spider Society, you can't abandon us"
"But Miguel-"
"Miguel is like a father to you, everyone knows that. He doesn't hate you luv, he could never do that. He didn't kick you out, he just wants you to take some time to think about yourself mh? You're sick, so you just need to rest a little from work. He does it to protect you"
You shook your head slightly.
"What if he's just doing it to protect you all from me? You know, to make sure i don't cause more trouble"
Hobie gave you a small smile.
"We don't need to be protected by you, because you don't bring trouble. You just had a rough day, aye?" he asked, tilting his head and you shrugged, still not entirely convinced.
Hobie sighed softly and took your hands, bringing them to his lips to cover your fingers with little kisses.
"Gwen's fine. You're fine. We're all fine, aren't we? This is all that matters when you're on a mission. And you'll see that everything will work out with Miguel too, 'kay?" he said, looking at you with hopeful eyes and you nodded slowly.
Hobie reached out to your face, caressing your cheek with a knuckle.
"Now, you wanna give me a nice smile? You know i don't like to see you sad, come on"
You felt a smile escape at your control, not resisting his words.
“And there it is” he exclaimed, causing you to chuckle softly.
Hobie stood up on his legs and looked down at you as you leaned forward, burying your face into his abdomen, hugging him around the waist.
"My Spiderwoman. You're the strongest and bravest of them all, you don't have to care what anyone else thinks. And you're not a disappointment, neither to Miguel nor to me. Okay?" he said, stroking the back of your head with one hand.
"Mh-hm" you nodded against him.
You were silent for a few seconds until Hobie heard you mumble something into his jacket.
"What was that, luv?" he asked.
You turned your face away, finally looking at him with a sincere smile, the real smile he had fallen in love with.
"Thank you Hobie. I don't know what i would do without you"
Hobie smiled back, leaning in to give you a long kiss on the lips.
"Hey, that's what i'm for, isn't it? Otherwise you would never have given me permission to sneak into your house at will"
You nodded with a chuckle and Hobie grabbed your hand, forcing you to your feet.
"Now do you really feel better? Can i do something for you?" he asked thoughtfully, stroking your hand with his thumb.
You thought about it for a few seconds, then nodded.
"You've done so much for me already, Hobie. But if you could let me hear you play your guitar for a few minutes, you'd make me really happy. Please?"
Hobie nodded almost immediately, turning to retrieve his guitar with one arm while the other wrapped around your shoulders, pulling you against his body.
"Anythin' you want, luv'" he replied, as you walked towards the bedroom together.
"Hey Hobie?" you called him, squeezing his hand. “You are the best hugger ever, you know?”
Hobie smirked and gave you a quick kiss on the forehead.
"Just for you darlin'"

Blood Will Out Ch 28 - It's Time
<prev | AO3 | Next>
“It is done,” the castle said.
“Er...what did Tik—”
“Irrelevant. I have resolved the situation.” The castle’s tone indicated that further inquiry was extremely unwelcome. “We have delayed long enough. You will go to the Chapel of Bone and prove yourself a Heterodyne.”
“Right now? But we’re almost done putting you together!”
“Now.” Its voice was cold, and brooked no argument. Then it hesitated and said, in a slightly different voice, “I need...certainty.”
Agatha felt a sudden pang in her heart. Between the Heterodyne Boys keeping it (and half the town) at arm’s length, parts of the castle thinking it had killed a Heterodyne for over a decade, being stuck up here with no one to care about it as anything but a tool to be regained control over, to go from being a home to a prison, to have no one want to even go near you…
After all that, to have someone honestly, genuinely want to understand it, must have been...nice.
She put a sympathetic hand on the wall.
“Would it make you feel better to destroy some of my enemies?” she asked cajolingly.
“...maybe.”
“Okay, well, those airships were being kind of aggressive. Why don’t you go remind everyone about the two leagues rule?”
“I...I suppose I could wake up the Torchmen…” the castle said, uncertain but slightly less miserable.
“There you go!” Agatha said. “That’s the spirit! You go show those airships who’s boss!”
“Yes,” the castle said. Its voice grew stronger. “Yes, I am who is boss! I am Castle Heterodyne! The enemies of Mechanicsburg flee before my might! I do not need him! I have two Heterodynes, and the strength to defy all who would stand against them! BEHOLD! THE TORCHMEN OF MECHANICSBURG!”
They hurried over to the tall windows. Agatha had to use a sleeve to clean away the grime, not that it made much difference. This high up, the people were only slightly larger than ants. She wondered if that was why the Heterodynes viewed them the way they did – closer to people than outsiders were, but still just tiny, crushable insects.
She saw panic break out, the not-quite insects running around in circles, as a fire began to spread down one of the main roads. Not the whole road, actually, just along the edges, and not in a continuous line. Dots of fire...evenly spaced...
Agatha’s breath caught in her throat. One by one, the streetlamps began to burn. When the entire street was lit in flickering red and yellow, one of the fires began to ascend, lifting up from its perch. Then the next, and the next, until a great ribbon of flame snaked through the air, heading for the three great airships bearing the crest of House Sturmvoraus.
The torchmen closed in on the nearest airship and began to draw delicate lines of fire across the fabric of the balloon.
“Ohhh,” Agatha breathed. “I bet they’re beautiful at night. Not that they aren’t impressive now,” she amended.
“It’s a good thing you launched them,” Tarvek said grimly. “The town’s taken a beating.”
It was true. Lots of damage had been done: holes in the buildings, patches of fire, people rushing in a steady stream to – and not often from – the Great Hospital. The Geisterdamen’s spiders were easy to spot, their spindly corpses standing out sharply against the red slate shingles of the houses they had collapsed against. No live ones, but from up here she couldn’t be sure that their riders were equally dealt with, just as she couldn’t be sure they were all out of the castle.
No new ones would be entering, however. She saw one try, managing to get almost halfway over the edge of the wall before suddenly being dragged, screaming, back down again by some unseen force.
“Oooh,” Agatha said, pressing her nose against the glass, eyes wide and eager. “What did you wake up on the other side of the wall?”
“Nothing yet. I am afraid I do not quite have the reach. The Jägers are currently maintaining that territory.”
“The what?” everyone shouted.
“Er...I’m sure I mentioned…”
“No!”
“Dot...iz gon be a problem,” Vole muttered.
“Oh, there are plenty of back doors we can sneak you out of, if needed – but as I understand it, the Heterodyne has no current desire to announce herself, yes?”
“Correct,” Agatha said, more firmly than she truly felt. “Not yet.”
“Why not?” Tarvek asked. “You’ll have the castle, you’re clearly able to defend yourself now.”
“I’m not ready,” she snapped. “Castle, how do you feel?”
“Independent!”
“...great! You go ahead and do that, and we’ll head for the – what? What?”
Gil was giving her a very odd look.
“That was...a little weird,” Gil said. Agatha puffed up indignantly.
“What’s so weird about being concerned for the emotional wellbeing of my castle?” she demanded.
“By letting it set people on fire?”
Her eyes narrowed.
“First of all, I am having it set my enemies on fire. Second, do you have a problem with my castle, Gilgamesh?”
Tarvek clamped his hand over Gil’s mouth.
“Nope. None at all. Let’s get a move on.”
Gil glared at him.
“I’m saving you from yourself,” Tarvek whispered, as Agatha swiveled on her heel and flounced out of the room with her nose in the air. “Do you want another Mariia situation on your hands?”
Gil went bright red, and the fury of his glare turned up several notches.
“Do you?”
Finally Gil made a sound to the negative, and Tarvek released him.
“Hoy!” Vole called from down the hall. “Ve iz not vaitink for hyu!”
Agatha’s indignant storming got her as far as the end of the hallway before she realized she had no idea where to go. Fortunately, Higgs appeared beside her and, with a tilt of his head, began to lead the way. They fell into step easily.
“Have you thought about what you’re gonna do with the army outside when you get the castle fixed?”
“Crush it,” she said, and gave him an odd look. “What kind of a question is that?”
“What if they surrender?” Higgs asked in response.
“Oh...well. Um...nothing, I guess. I won’t be the Heterodyne, so I don’t exactly have any authority to chase after them. I guess we just leave them surrendered until the Baron shows up.”
“And if you did have the authority?”
“I don’t know! I’m fifteen! I’m not ready for the brutal reality of military command!”
All the same…
She’d listened to Saturnus talk about things belonging to him, the town, the people, the Jӓgers. Agatha had chalked it up to his evil nature, to view people as things to be possessed. But now, suddenly, she understood – or perhaps she was arriving at the same feelings from her own, less evil angle.
These people were hers. Not possessions, but still possessive, hers. Her fury that someone would dare attack what was hers. The need in her heart to ensure they were kept safe, and that she be the one who did it. To crush those who threatened what was hers. She struggled to put it into words, even in her head. Perhaps for now she would have to be satisfied with the nameless feeling of certainty and love and determination.
“Prince Sturmvoraus needs to be taken care of,” she said. “Gil and Tarvek and I talked about it. The Geisterdamen, too. They’re the ringleaders. Everyone else...it feels wrong to slaughter people who are here because they were told to fight. It’s not like the Jägers. These soldiers didn’t all choose.”
Higgs nodded, but Agatha couldn’t tell if it was in approval or not. They walked in silence for a few more minutes, until Agatha glanced over her shoulder. Vole wasn’t lagging behind, exactly, but he wasn’t moving as quickly as he had been.
“So you...know the generals,” Agatha said, very softly. “Personally, I mean. How they think. If I could get them to understand what happened, do you think…?”
Higgs lit his pipe, a trick Agatha was beginning to suspect was his way of buying himself time to think of an answer.
“Maybe,” he said finally. “Other side of the coin, will he.”
“I’d like him to stay, at least while Grandfather is alive. Grandfather could use a friend. And...Vole misses him, I think. And it does make a difference, doesn’t it?”
“It does change things,” Higgs admitted. “But it was still an order he shouldn’t’ve followed. And he said he’d probably have done it anyway.”
“But he didn’t. You can’t punish people for things they might have done. And he didn’t kill me. He doesn’t want to, he said so.”
Higgs raised his eyebrows and tipped his head, expression considering.
“There is that. I think he’d want to stay for Saturnus, at least. But the generals...they’d need some convincin’. Somethin’ concrete. Seein’ is believin’ and all that.”
They came to a halt in front of a large door framed on either side by two large statues: identical women holding a lantern and an axe, and not wearing much by the way of clothes. Gil and Tarvek came up beside her, trying to pretend not to see the statues, but focusing on the great bronze letters stamped across the doors.
“'Bibliotheca'?” Gil read.
“It’s Spanish for library,” Tarvek said.
“I know that,” Gil said, jabbing him in the ribs. "It's spelled wrong."
The statues juddered, the lanterns flaring.
“You must choose,” one statue murmured.
“One must die so one may enter,” said the other.
“Ooh,” Higgs muttered. “Forgot about that.”
Agatha drew her little gun. She still wasn’t sure if it worked, but the statues didn’t know that.
“No.”
The two statues looked at each other.
“But—”
“I will count to three.”
“The test is passed,” the statues chorused quickly. “Enter.”
Agatha heard someone behind her snicker. She wasn’t sure, but she thought she saw the statues shoot whoever it was a dirty look.
Agatha grabbed the door handle and shoved. Tarvek grabbed the back of her shirt as she pinwheeled in open air, the ground several stories away. Tarvek managed to haul her back, and they both sat down hard, clutching at each other, Agatha’s gun skittering away across the stone floor.
“Hey!” Gil exclaimed.
“Tradition, I’m afraid,” the castle said, almost – almost – believably apologetic.
“Is not,” Higgs said.
“Shush.”
Agatha narrowed her eyes.
This room was lower than the one they’d been in before. She had a better look at the town, and she could see spots of fire in the town below, broken rooftops and craters in the streets, damage the castle could be stopping, but wouldn’t, because it was still, still, playing games with her.
A few bricks wobbled up from the emptiness below and began to form a narrow, shaky bridge across the void to the door on the other side.
“Oh please,” Agatha said. “Like you’d really do it.”
“It is supposed to be a test,” the castle said. Agatha threw up her hands.
“Fine, fine, alright,” she sighed.
And took off running.
She ignored the shouts of alarm behind her – and around her.
“Wait! Hey, wait, not so— You’re not supposed to—!”
The bricks shot up from below, some of them practically catching Agatha midfall, as the castle scrambled to keep up with her. Agatha kept her eyes fixed on the far doorway, not letting herself think about heights or falling, and in moments had zipped through the doorway and into a long, dark hallway.
“There,” she said smugly. “Test passed.”
“Yes, yes, very clever,” the castle said.
And opened the floor beneath her.

Afraid -
⚠️ black brothers again. angst. abuse. ⚠️
Sirius had a small fear. Well actually, he had lots of fears over time. When he was 7 he was afraid of spiders. They had way too many legs and his nanny had told him about this huge spider that might have killed a girl at school. He kept this fear for a year until Regulus found one under the sink and begged Sirius to just take it outside. When he was 10 his mother and father sat down and repeated every page of the fantastic beasts over and over. At 10 years old Sirius was afraid of werewolves, unicorns, centaurs, even pixies. When Remus Lupin cried in Sirius' arms about being a monster, Sirius decided werewolves weren't that scary.
"Pads?" Remus was looking at Sirius with a small smile. Sirius looked away from the bookshelf he was building to see Remus crouch down with a cup of hot cocoa. "There's this girl at the high school. Her name is Nymphadora and she's got herself into some trouble that I think we can help."
Sirius chuckled, "What sort of name is Nymphadora?"
"The same sort as Sirius Lupin?"
"Ouch point taken." Sirius pointed towards a screw driver sitting by Remus's foot. "So this girl?"
"She's pregnant." Remus paused looking towards Sirius. "She doesn't want the boy to end up in foster care, but she's too young to take care of him."
"That's awful, her parents won't help her?"
"She doesn't have any Padfoot. They were murdered when she was a kid." Remus inhaled and bit the inside of his cheek. "How do you feel about being a dad?" He breathed out.
Sirius dropped the screwdriver, the screw still sticking out of the wood of the shelf. "What?"
"We could.... adopt the boy? Dora can come round see her kiddo, he'd be loved Pads."
"I just- I don't think- I can't Moony. I can't. I can't. I can't. I have to- I'll be back." Sirius was trying to catch his breath, to explain to Remus that he wasn't leaving for good.
"Sirius? Love, are you okay. It's okay we can wait. We can talk it out?" Remus reached towards Sirius who was standing up and heading towards the door.
"Yes- Talk. Just not now. I'll be back-I'll be back. " Sirius ran out the door leaving Remus sat near an unfinished bookshelf tugging at his curls.
++++++++
Sirius was still afraid of many things. He was afraid of cows, afraid of tight closed spaces, afraid of dragonflies. Fears come and go for Sirius all the time but being a father? Sirius has done that before. His kid ended up hating him, fell in line into a cult despite his many attempts to stop and was now missing.
Sirius approached a small brass cross. It was embellished with snakes and planted into the tree him and Regulus used to hide at.
"Hello Reg. I know i've not been here, well neither are you." Sirius laughed to himself. "Remus he asked me a question today. Asked if I wanted to be a dad. I ran. It's what I'm good at, you'd tell me that." Sirius wiped a tear from his cheek.
"Being a dad though? Not so good at that. I know logically that i was a kid too but i couldn't protect you, how am i supposed to protect him?" Sirius continued to chat to Regulus through all his fears. It had begun to get dark and Sirius had fallen asleep against the trunk of the tree.
+++++++
"Sirius?" Remus had shaken Sirius and he had begun to blink awake. Remus spent 3 hours trying to figure out where Sirius could have gone; he checked the park Padfoot liked to run in, the coffee shop Sirius ran too after he ran away and lastly, the small grave Sirius had planted for his little brother.
"Moony?" Remus sat down next to Sirius and leaned into his side.
"Good morning Pads. I think it's time we had that talk huh?"
"I'm sorry for running Remus." Sirius tilted his head on top of Remus'. "Having a kid outside of Reggie. I mean I know he's not my kid-"
"Sirius listen to me. Regulus will always be your kid. You raised him, you gave him food, you showed him laughter. You protected him from really evil people. This- His death? It isn't on you. You tried Sirius, you went back 3 times. Walburga cursed you every single time." Sirius shook his head.
"We haven't even found him! He's missing and he's dead. I can't do that to another kid." Sirius cried into Remus. "I'm scared I will miss that boy up too."
"You didn't mess up Regulus. Did you hit him?" Sirius shook his head. "Did you tell him you would only love him if he joined the Death Eaters?"
"I would never."
"Did you starve him when he cried?" Sirius shook his head again. "Okay good, so what did you do to him exactly Sirius?"
"I left him there. I knew what they would do."
"What would they have done if you stayed?" Remus let the answer wash over him. The potential death of Sirius Black sitting in the area around them.
"Can we name him?" Sirius asks eventually. "Regulus liked the name Edward, he always named the teddy bears I got him Edward." Remus laughed dipping his head down.
"He names his teddys... Teddy?"
"No Edward I just said!"
"Pads love, Edward is the long form of Teddy."
"Godric, Regulus was 70 years old?!" Sirius joined Remus in his laughter. For the first time since Regulus went missing, Sirius laughed in his memory.

The Spider
Eve and Villanelle in their dating era, encountering a spider. For @little-lemonbaby
"Eve," Villanelle said, pointing to the far wall. "There's a spider."
Eve looked up from her book, her eyes meeting the glittering eyes of an arachnid, caught mid-skitter on the wall of their house. It had frozen in place, perhaps aware it had been sighted or perhaps simply pausing to think its own spidery thoughts.
"Yep," Eve agreed, with a glance at her girlfriend, who was managing to take up the majority of the couch, her legs draped over Eve's lap. "Want to do something about it?"
Villanelle, who was, as far as Eve could tell, completely fearless, contemplated the spider, then shook her head. "No. I do not. You do it."
Eve stared, then felt a grin tug up the corner of her lips. "Hon, are you afraid of spiders?"
"No, Eve, I am not afraid of spiders," Villanelle said, coming up to sitting, though in a way that kept her eyes fixed on their arachnoid intruder. "I do not like them, though. They move strangely. I do not want it to get on me."
Eve couldn't suppress a soft snort of amusement. "Right. Knows two hundred ways to kill a man, but scared of spiders."
Villanelle finally broke eye contact to glance at her. "I am not afraid of…"
"It's moving," Eve said and then burst into snickers at how fast Villanelle jerked around to check the location of the spider, which remained completely still, cleaning itself fastidiously with its forelegs.
The other woman gave her a very unimpressed look out of one eye. "Yes, Eve, you are sooo funny. Kill it now. Please."
"I'm not going to kill it," Eve said, stuffing her book under one arm and looking around for a suitable vessel for spider entrapment. She plucked a glass off the table, drained the last of the water from it, and then slowly approached her prey, keeping the glass held at arms length. She might not have been afraid of spiders, exactly, but she'd always let Niko handle this bit. "We can put it outside. That's more humane."
"I do not care," Villanelle said from behind her. "Just get rid of it."
"Yes, yes, spider disposal squad at your service," Eve said, leaning in to put the cup over the spider, who chose that moment to engage in a burst of motion down the side of the wall, one that caused her to drop the cup and let out a less-than-brave shriek, stumbling backwards.
"Eve, it is getting away!" Villanelle said unhelpfully, as the spider skittered, not away, but towards Eve's bare feet.
She brought the book under her arm down on it, adrenaline taking the helm before she'd made a conscious decision to give up on humane treatment of spiderkind.
Then, for good measure, she picked up the book and brought it down a couple more times, squashing the already-pulped remains, until a hand settled on her shoulder, making her jerk like a puppet on a string.
She looked up at Villanelle, aware of the ragged sounds of her own breathing. "Jesus. Wow. Okay. …You know what, the world doesn't need that many spiders."
Her girlfriend's eyes glittered with not-at-all suppressed amusement. "I think it is very dead. You know you said a lot of curse words?"
She didn't remember. She could imagine, though. "Ugh, that's a library book," she complained, as an arm worked itself around her waist, pulling her back into Villanelle's embrace.
"Eve. Forget the book. Come to bed," whispered a warm and very distracting voice in her ear.
"Did you just get turned on by my killing a spider?"
Villanelle's teeth scraped the lobe of her ear. "Mm. Yes. It was very brave. And very violent."
"You have the weirdest turn-ons," Eve said, savoring the contact, still slightly amazed to that they'd gotten here. "You have to deal with the next one."
"Noooo," Villanelle said, teeth continuing down her neck in a way that sent shivers all through her body.
"Then admit you're afraid of them."
A soft nip against her skin, pinching it between surprisingly sharp teeth, a sensation she didn't mind at all. "I am not afraid. I do not like them. That is different."
"Next one," Eve insisted. "It's not like I'm their biggest fan."
"Yes, but…" Villanelle started, then stopped.
Eve turned to look at her, hands settling on the other woman's waist. "You weren't thinking something like, I'm too good to catch spiders, were you?"
"I am too good to kill spiders," Villanelle corrected, pressing her face into Eve's hair.
"And I'm not?" Eve said, tugging her closer. They'd had this argument about any other number of domestic chores, Eve hammering home the point that there were only two people in this relationship and whatever life Villanelle had lived before, as a spoiled assassin for the Twelve, someone had to do the dishes and it wasn't always going to be her.
"…Yes, Eve, fine, I will kill a spider," Villanelle said and Eve had to admit she was almost impressed at getting the admission out of her so quickly. That counted as some kind of character growth. "Can we go to bed now?"
"Mmhmm," Eve said, leaning up to kiss the other woman, a gentle pressure of closed lips that still seemed to make Villanelle reel against her. "…Did you really like how violently I killed that spider?" she asked as they walked away, hands unthinkingly reaching out to clasp each other's hands.
"Yes, Eve. I really did."

Hey uh been re reading LS/WTCBS and gok a bit do we have a reason butterfly is petrified of heights? More of will we learn there a specific experience that cause that or is it just amped natural fear?
*nervous author sweating because the actual reason is--
--way less cool*
Three short answer is yes, eventually, we'll explore that more. After all, we're destined to date a *Seeker* ;D
The real answer is I didn't know yet either 👀 It was something i added on a whim because i wanted Butterfly to have a few things that shake up her character that could cause interesting scenarios and also give her some reasons to be truly afraid and unable to even manage to hide it, while in the presence of her alien company.
Butterfly herself is a character inspired by and designed to be, a very strong and sensible woman with a gentle heart and a will of Damascus. Having a true phobia allows me the chance to write the reader in a scenario where they *are* scared-- but because the frightening experience isn't the mech themselves, we get to see the Decepticons with an excuse to show a softer side they rarely have a chance to reveal. Butterfly has genuine reasons all the time to be afraid, very afraid, but she's really good like many people are at masking it.
It definitely gives me an excuse to write Knockout having to be careful and conscious about his human-- one of the things he's learning is how to be mindful and aware of others and really go out of his way to make choices that take care of them. He knows he can't afford to mess up with Butterfly, because she's so fragile-- even too much scariness can literally kill a human from heart attack or other "system malfunctions" we can get when ensuring extreme and acutely concentrated stress.
It also means that any Cybertronian handling Butterfly, is going to have to Deal With That which gives me opportunities to reveal their inner character. How someone reacts to another beings' distress especially if it's inconvenient directly to them, is very revealing. Knockout gets impatient but still respects that we need something to calm down and that something is not being up high or being able to convince ourselves we're not up high, but he's really not the best at comforting us
Soundwave just.... Aces it. Manages to comfort us whether he can set us down or not, is very sensitive and aware of our fear and how deeply it affects us and doesn't complain about it. He just moves right into doing What's Needed For That. Also, it's a great excuse for cable cuddles because dammit i love the snuggles.
So... At least at the moment, my answer for her fear is born more from meta reasons than knowing the actual cause of it yet. I like the way it has affected the story and the challenges it will present in future events. It's been interesting for me, because i myself am not phobic of heights; yet i can picture Butterfly's fear and panic so clearly, and it makes sense in my head. She's not someone who is comfortable with a loss of control and gravity has, really, a LOT of control over us whether we want it or not :> it just is
Spoiler, we are also scared of stinging bees. Spiders are cute but wasps make us panic response like there's no tomorrow Butterfly is gonna have FUN weeeeeeee
(Nevada has wasps right??? To the interwebs i go!)

How much they wanted to see each other?
Another people had made analysis, but I honestly couldn't help myself but to examine another scene, because I need to squeal at this.
While the beginning clue us in how much they miss each other (which wow, I knew Miles was crushing on Gwen since the first movie, but Gwen doesn't get behind AT ALL.) When they reunite, is very interesting.
Leaving aside that a lot of stuff changed from the teaser (because WOW, they really went and say "put the teenage crush up to 11" to both of them,) we really are sold in how much Miles is crushing on her, both from the drawings (in the notebook and the Walls, she was the first drawing and she appears the most,) and the last movie.
Gwen in contrast, comes a lot more subtle not just because Miles cannot hide his emotions for the life of him; while Gwen has issues controlling her anger, or had before, you can see that in general closes off about her feelings, and tries to not talk too much about it. In other words, she has a tendency to hide, and it is reflected on the screen.
Just as much as is shows that when she cares she can't help herself.
First When she appears, she tries to act as if is not a big deal. She is just opening a hole to create an entrance from another dimension, no biggie.
Miles barely had time to recollect himself (a lot more coherent if it was me that's for sure.) But again, I think that is to be expected.
What I like is what Gwen is doing.
The first thing she does is try to appear casual, looking around to anything in the room before him.
But the second she looks at him (and I mean SECOND, I was trying to get a decent screenshot but is hard.) she hugs him.
(We will take a moment to appreciate Miles being so out of left field he is just frozen.)
I also like to note that Gwen is probably a very physically affectionate person, or at least, someone who likes being physically affectionate with the people important to her.
We can see it with her dad in how even when things with him are tense, she doesn't hesitate to hug him because despite everything, she loves her dad.
And with the spider society being well, the spider society (That's a topic for another day and maybe not this blog,) she probably doesn't have a lot of affection these days, which makes sense go to Miles since well, she REALLY has miss him.
But I don't think she agrees with that.
Hey, remember how I was talking about how cool and collected Gwen seems at first, just to be betrayed by her own emotions because she cannot help it? This is happens often and I love it.
I think this is a good time as any as to talk about something that the movie could had done, and I am SO glad that they didn't.
Part of the reason I was lukewarm to this ship in the first movie, is that it was doing partially the very tired trope of "Dorky protagonist has a hopeless crush in the badass female co-lead and despite finding him annoying at first, they end up together."
Luckily it doesn't actually immerse into that trope and Miles has more personality than most of those archetypes; but being a super hero movie, I was kind of tired of this, and while I think Miles crush on Gwen was cute in the first movie, I didn't think they would turn around.
When the teaser dropped, I was afraid it was going to just dive in that route.
And yet, this movie does the interesting thing, by having Gwen actually lose the cool mask sometimes.
Because yes, Gwen is cool, she is awesome. She is badass and she can still, probably defeat Miles if she really wanted to; she has been a spider for longer than him so that makes sense.
However, even if she is all those things, she is still a teen, with a crush, and even her coolness cannot stop the fact that she probably doesn't know how to do this either.
I love how as much as Gwen wants to act cool, she still slips up because she probably thinks she made Miles uncomfortable by hugging him like that (he was just a slow to react, yet that would be my read if I was her.) And also because again, she knows she needs to take it easy.
I found funny how she just realizes this is his room, despite technically she giving it "a look" when she came in. Like I say, she was just trying to contain herself.
Miles being nervous about looking like a kid (valid fear considering one of the last things Gwen said to him was how she was 15 months older than him.) is normal and cute.
While I don't doubt Gwen teased Miles a little, and I still don't know what to say about the ripping scene; she sounds a lot more relaxed about the fact that one may think. I had people react badly to my fandom stuff that is often perceived as childish; so while Gwen still shouldn't had done that, it wasn't bad in my eyes.
Now let's talk about one of the favourite scenes for us shippers.
When she sees the drawings, I think she sounds a tad shocked and confuse, which is normal all things consider. What is important for me is Gwen's reaction.
THIS isn't the face of someone uncomfortable with that information.
Listen, I am not trying to shoot my own horn or anything, but when I was younger, I had people confess to me, from private to in a very public manner; and it can be extremely uncomfortable and awkward.
I had needed to find a way to keep my face neutral, and man isn't easy.
But Gwen doesn't look like she is trying to pretend everything is fine, she looks actually fine with this information.
She literally found out her friend has a stupid amount of drawings of her, imagine someone you know and who you don't have interest doing that to you.
There is no way she will be this chirpy about those drawings if she wasn't a bit happy about it.
Which is part of the reason I love this sequence, because Gwen knew Miles's crush on her from before, but it has been over a year, and you don't know how much it can change. So her initial insecurity makes sense.
And it only takes her less than 5 minutes to confirm that nope, he is still head over heels for her.
And I think getting her cool back and how she reels him in her direction show that.
Also, look at this face.
This is exactly why everyone clock's Miles feelings in 0.5 seconds, it never stops shining.
However, as much as his feelings shine through, Gwen doesn't stop showing them back constantly, as discretely as she can.

Grins. Tell me about Lia :3 I'm mainly curious if you have a cage and/or psychodrama set up for her? Or if you don't, what about her relationship with Ellen? What did they think of each other at first? What do they think of each other now?
HGF3FGQHFAAAHHHHH OK LET ME TELL YOU WHAT I HAVE 😁😁😁
Yes i have a cage and i think it was very clever of myself to think about it. very vERY MUCH
TW: ARACHNOPHOBIA!!!
Under the cut cus theres too much here cough
Ok so, it consists of a cage where shes trapped in a spider web, where various spiders of different sizes crawl over her body, and some even enter her body through her mouth. Some of them get in her ears and whisper horrific things about her past and about herself, how she will never be able to remember how her father was, how her mother treated her and manipulated her multiple times, how she will never be understood, etc etc.
About the psychodrama part, I'm still working on it, but I'm thinking about making something related to her relationship with her mother and spiders or something like that
AND ABOUT THEM..,... ABOUT LIA AND ELLEN OH WOW I MIGHT EXPLODE I LOVE THEM WITH MY SOUL
Well, I didn't wrote much stuff about them so I'll just make anything right now with what I think and what i have IDK
At first, Lia didn't trust anybody, of course. But, seeing that Ellen was the only woman with her and all the things that she has gone throught, she felt very bad for not being able to do something about it, to maybe, try to stop it, because she knew if she even tried, it wouldn't go well, it wouldn't work. So with that, Ellen was the only one she truly cared about, but sometimes she would just pull herself away from her, being afraid of trying to help her and not doing it well, making her feel like someone that doesnt know how to help anyone without feeling like it wouldn't be enough, Lia had a lot of problems in her mind, which would difficult their relationship a little, but it would NOT keep them away from each other, certainly not. I think i wrote some stuff wrong and forgot a thing or two, but anyways!
And about what Ellen thought about her at first, I'm not really certain of it, I'm afraid of mischaracterizing her in any way because aUGEHGWHGEG idk 💔 But she was glad that there was someone to care about her, to be interested of learning about her, to see her more than just a... you know... And also, Lia refused to have anything sexual with her, idk what to add to this information but yeah she refused, even if it lead to worse tortures, SHE COULD EAT SPIDERS BUT SHE STILL REFUSED oops i think i said to much hehe :3 and despite Lia being someone who suffered a lot in her life and being a complicated person to deal with, she does her best to understand everything about her, and so does Lia THEYRE SO AAUGG4H4H
sorry if i didnt have too much to say about ellen im HORRIBLE at writing about characters that arent my ocs and i hope its accurate to the way she thinks dont shoot me....
About what they think of each other now, I would say they are very close, they care very much about each other, they're glad to have each other's company, and Lia haves very strong feelings towards Ellen, she loves her so much I can't even describe it, but she still keeps it to herself, scared of what Ellen might think, scared of them being invalid because of what Ellen suffered,,,, oh god its too much for my small brain IM TRYING MY BEST ALRIGHT,,,,
but well i think thats it,,,, THANK YOU FOR THE QUESTUON!!!! if i wrote anything wrong i am very sorry because i have poor media literacy idk if thats the name im looking AND MY HAND ARE FREEZING but yeah thats it,,,, HIH8EGEHHQAAAHGHRHEH IM SO HAPPY RN THAMK YOU THANK YOU STARTS CLIMBING ON THE WALLS
#ihnmaims oc#i have no mouth and i must scream#ruko's stuff#ruko's yapping section#lia the mentally unwell one#ihnmaims#ellia#ihnmaims am#idk how to tag this#i had to squeeze my brain to think about everything i wrote it was a litte complicated#i did the best i could AAUAGGHEHE

I was saving Januaries for election night—the plan was to disconnect and wait for morning—but I couldn’t concentrate. Then I couldn’t concentrate for a few days. I finally picked it up, though, because you always make me feel like the world is a beautiful place, and I needed that.
Anyway, I sat down with Januaries and I teared up a bit when the first story was The Wish Bridge. What a great one. I’m not sure if I made a note of it when I read it before, but this time I fully cried when Lila learned about the phases of the moon.
It was so wonderful to see some of the old favorites. I hadn’t read A Year in January since it was first published and my goodness I forgot how much I liked it. Also a large spider crawled across my page when I started The Animation Games, so that was fun and fitting.
So okay. I happened to read Monsterlove when I was sitting around waiting to hear from my friend who was in the hospital giving birth. This is actually the first time someone I love has had a kid. I know it’s a lot, intellectually, but it’s not something I can really understand. And I know she’s been afraid in that way that people with bad parents are afraid, even though her baby is so wanted and so so loved. Monsterlove was moving and powerful and intimate, and I haven’t read anything like that before. Reading that story in that moment meant so very much to me.
Preexisting Conditions is my other new favorite! That is so exactly my thing. I won’t say anything else because spoilers but I found that ending hideously satisfying.
I’ll stop rambling but I spent a week reading Januaries and it was amazing. Also, you described the audiobook somewhere and I realized I need to listen to that eventually too. For The Atlas Paradox, the whole cast was great but I was completely blown away by the Belen chapter; if that voice actor has done more work for you, then I definitely need to check it out.
Happy new year! I hope you’re doing well 💙
omg thank you so much for this, I don't even know what to say, I'm so honored my work makes you feel the world is a beautiful place. I feel like that is the goal? the point? but many people don't walk away with that feeling or don't really receive that message and then I feel like I failed in some way. so. thank you
I am ALSO thrilled that monsterlove spoke to you because I knew it might mean something to other people who had also experienced that, but wasn't sure how it would read to someone who hadn't. what a wonderful thing to hear. and YAY okay so a lot of people have expressed how much they dislike preexisting conditions (which I don't get, since it's basically exactly the same story as the animation games but told more spitefully lol) and I personally had to fight for that story to even be in the collection. I like it!! I think it's funny! SORRY!!! but anyway thank you so much. "hideously satisfying" is exactly what I was going for, you understand me
yes, the actor who voiced belen is alex palting and she read "chaos theory" and "monsterlove," which were probably the two most demanding performances in the collection. she KILLED it, I truly think she should win awards for that performance. her rendition of violeta is my favorite thing. I also find the audio version of "the audit" to be soooo funny. I've listened to it multiple times

Meet the Rivers of Beleriand!
After some recuperation time following their ordeals, they've put on fána and come to Aman to meet old friends and seek new homes in the Blessed Realm! They're waiting on some decisions of the Valar at Mahanaxar, but after someone accidentally washed out a road after a slap-fight with Eönwë on the Sauron subject in the meantime they are staying at the Palace of Ingwë in Valmar! Why Ingwë agreed with the Valar that the flooding would be less of an issue there is a fascinating question Queen Ilwen would love an answer to.
Meet the Rivers! (Interviewer: Ingwion Ingsuilo Ingwion, Fourth Prince of the Vanyar)
[Part One: Adurant, Esgalduin, Nenning]
Adurant
Of the Seven Rivers of Ossiriand and Dor Firn-i-Guinar
Tributary of great Gelion
Likes: Trees, pereldar, music
Dislikes: Orcs, getting pulled into the Sea when the subcontinent collapses even though your spring in the mountains is actually still there
Who are you most hoping to meet in Aman? "Dior! And Denethor — of the Nandor — I'd like to see him again, but Dior was my baby. —The other Ingwion said he'd sent for him. I hope he gets here soon."
What are you looking for in your new location? "I'm not sure! Somewhere with Dior or my Laegrim would be nice, but! I think I am uniquely qualified to be somewhere around Mandos!"
Would you like to say anything about the fána you chose? "It's reminiscent of a few of my favorite people, but I'm not making a statement. But I do think I'm doing better than average at not dripping on your nice carpets!"
What else would you like people to know about you? "Um, I'm not sure how much else there is to say about me! I was pretty lucky, all told — well, all of us in Ossiriand were lucky, and I was luckiest. My people got a lot of raids later on but it didn't touch me. I really could have stayed in Middle-earth, but… obviously things didn't turn out that way."
Esgalduin
Of Doriath, born of the Shadowy Spring
Tributary of great Sirion
Likes: Beeches, Holly, Grey-elves, Melian
Dislikes: Naugrim, Kinslayers, Men Invaders, dragons, spiders
Who are you most hoping to meet in Aman? "Melian most of all. We were close friends, I've missed her a lot. Also Elu, young Dior and Nimloth — Elmo and Galadhon — I have many, many people here. But I meant to go see Melian in Lórien immediately, except there were reportedly concerns about the roads."
What are you looking for in your new location? "I would like to dwell with my Grey-Elves — ideally with Elu and Melian as their King and Queen. If Melian needs me more than the Grey-Elves and means to stay in Lórien that is also an option, but I would hope she can anticipate Elu's return."
Would you like to say anything about the fána you chose? "It's modeled on Melian's fána, yes, except for the hair."
What else would you like people to know about you? "I have a tributary you won't hear much about — they fall from the mountains directly into Nan Dungortheb, and it… went badly for them, from quite early on. Their proper name is Nenbrass, though I'm afraid my people often said Esgalfuin. They have… some resentments. I'm hoping people will be understanding."
Nenning
Of Eglarest in the Falas
Likes: the Sea, Falathrim, ships, Noldor
Dislikes: Orcs, erosion, poison
Who are you most hoping to meet in Aman? "Many of my people are here, of course. And Brithon and I are both very curious about these Western Lindar. Though if I meet any individuals who objected to sending aid we will have words."
What are you looking for in your new location? "East of the Pelóri and directly into the Sea, definitely, though that may end up with less length than I'd prefer. I understand my people here have a settlement of their own, and either Brithon or I will pass by there. The other of us might go by this Swanhaven."
Would you like to say anything about the fána you chose? "I don't think there's much to say."
What else would you like people to know about you? "We were overrun and used as roads to attack our people. It was… distressing. But after we had nothing left to protect, when things continued to worsen — both of us, eventually, consigned ourselves to the Sea, and after that it was over. That wasn't a route available to to tributaries, and Sirion… wouldn't. —Also I apologize for the water. It should be less brackish now."

Jeff is one of my favorite characters and I think we should start a post of all our favorite Jeff headcanons. He and Freak get left out in almost every Eddie-centric fic I read, with his "best friend" being either Gareth or Chrissy, and I'm tired of it. Jeff is wonderful. Here's my hc's:
- Jeff and Eddie have been best friends since middle school. They started CC and Hellfire together.
- they went to the Snowball together and rigged the bubble machine to spew bubbles during the slow dance songs. The dance had to end early and Jeff and Eddie never got caught
- Jeff's parents loves Eddie. They used to have sleepovers at each other's place almost every weekend.
- Jeff was the first person Eddie came out to. Jeff tried to be surprised and "that's great, man, thanks for telling me!" But Eddie saw right through that.
- Eddie is afraid of geese and spiders. Jeff thinks this is fucking hilarious.
- post-Vecna, Jeff is the one Eddie reconnects with first. Eddie tells him everything, despite the NDAs and Steve's warnings. Jeff believes him, because he knows there's wacky shit going on in Hawkins, and he's seen Eddie's wounds.
- they have that kind of friendship that nothing can break. Even if they don't see or talk to each other for years, because Life Happens and people lose touch, they'll always have part of themselves carved out for their best friend.
Ok, that's all I got for now, and sorry for the long ask! I just love Jeff so much and he (and Freak, too, because Freak gets ignored because of fatphobia) deserves just as much love and attention as Gareth gets.
What are your Jeff and Eddie headcanons?
I am loving this Jeff love and your headcanons, thank you so much for sending this to me!!! <3
I think with Unnamed Freak things are a bit different bc, yaknow, he doesn't have a name. For me at least that makes me hesitant to write about him so I don't wanna go as far as to say it's all bc he's fat (even though I'm not gonna deny that that probably also plays a part in how popular he is in this fandom urgh). Anyway, yes this fandom certainly does Jeff dirty. I think it's this gross combination of racism and people copying a lot from already existing stories, characterizations and headcanons without much critical thinking of their own (which baffles me, if you're creative enough to write a story please use that creativity for some originality ffs). Anyway, this is gonna turn into a rant again can you tell I'm still annoyed? so let's turn to something more positive now, like my headcanons for our beloved Jeff:
He was the first person in Hawkins (after Wayne obviously) that Eddie got close to. For Jeff it was kinda the same, being a black, nerdy boy in this town had been very isolating for him and Eddie was his first real friend.
Unnamed Freak made their duo into a trio a bit later. All the others in the group (including Gareth) were Eddie's "lost little sheepies" who he sought out to protect. This means that Jeff and Unnamed Freak are the only people who don't borderline worship Eddie but see him (and love him) for who he is including all his flaws. They're also the only ones not afraid to call him out on his bullshit.
Jeff's mom is really cool. Her name is Pauline and she's not like Jeff at all (she was a cheerleader in high school). Despite their differences they love each other a lot. (Jeff's mom is actually heavily featured in one of the fics I wrote so I got her all fleshed out lmao)
He has two little twin sisters. They're friends with Erica, one of them is one of her friends we meet in the mall in s3. He has this typical hate-love relationship with his sisters: they fight a lot, but at the end of the day, he would die for them.
HE'S BISEXUAL
While he can't wait to get out of Hawkins and to a place that'll be more accepting of him, he doesn't want to move too far away from his family.
He's the most loyal friend in the world, 100% a ride-or-die kinda guy
While he does love metal a lot, his guilty pleasure is Tina Turner
Tell me all your Jeff headcanons i wanna hear more about him!
