Alma Wade is the personification of prey animal rage. She’s a little girl with remarkable power who was tortured, experimented on, impregnated and killed before she was even fully aware of what had happened to her.

She’s a feral prey animal who has no idea she’s even dead. Who has no clue she’s free. Who just wants to escape and get her children back, the only piece of reality she knows that was stolen from her. Fuck the rape subplot — make it so that she was pregnant already when they killed her and the baby survived the same way she did. Then you can still have the plot of F3AR without reducing a woman who by all intents and purposes shouldn’t even know what sex is to a rape-ghost for some free shock points.

Idea: Ganke’s mom is a real estate agent. There’s a HUGE house she’s been in the process of selling in this newly constructed gated community previously designated District Zero. Y’know, before the residential buildings were bulldozed to make room. Ganke plots to throw a party in it while she’s gone for the weekend and make himself one of the popular kids.

Miles, who’s coming off a hellish week in action, is more lenient than he should be with Ganke’s shenanigans because it means the chance at a night off from being Spider-Man. So they put up flyers around the school, invite their classmates, who invite their friends and so on and so forth until word spreads from Brooklyn Visions to different schools altogether—

800 people show up. Kegs get rolled in like army tanks. Miles ignores the sinking feeling in his gut and reminds himself that it’s supposed to be his night off.

The actual party starts out loose but doesn’t get fun until Miles starts drinking with…light encouragement from his classmates. Ganke follows soon enough and it all kinda starts to go downhill from there.

Little by little the function gets more and more out of hand with every bad decision they make and every line one of the guests cross. Still, Miles gets a day off and Ganke gets a shot at being cool so they find themselves encouraging each other to ignore the nagging feeling that something is wrong so the party doesn’t have to end there, and it’s like that until they realize they let in a supervillain who’s wanted in seven countries and SHIELD shows up at the gates

ok it’s been like six books and I’m still hung up on Reyn’s name being Reyn. he was born and his Rain Wilder parents were really just like yeah we’ll name him Rain, that’s a fine name. I don’t know why this bothers me as much as it does but like all the other Rain Wilders get cool names (or lame ones like Greft) and Reyn is just out here with a word name

Scrolling through BBC Merlin’s tag and can’t help but think about how funny it is that you’ve got two shows both set in a magical medieval setting with knights and princes and sorcerers and all and in both magic has been outlawed and in one it’s integral to the plot and in the other it’s so briefly mentioned you could forget it entirely

They really don’t make very much about how magic is outlawed do they
