I eat out three times a month. First, third, and fourth Friday of each month, I get Chipotle for lunch. I get the exact same order every time. I eat half for lunch, and then half for dinner. For $12, it's a bit expensive, but a fair price for two meals I don't have to prepare myself. I don't believe that this is particularly excessive, and certainly not enough that I'm a "regular" at this location.

Today was a shitshow. Left lunch in the fridge at home, was already later to work than I would have liked, was up to my neck in briefings all day. Around 3pm I realized I was starving and had to do something about it. I found enough time to run over to the Chipotle. I was in uncharted waters - it was a Thursday! I wasn't wearing my usual favourite Friday outfits! I was frazzled!

But the person who usually prepares my meal on Friday was there today at the head of the counter. He grabbed a bowl as soon as I walked up and immediately said "we're out of guacamole - I know you get that with your order. Do you still want to go ahead?"

I was a little shocked, but also touched. Someone recognizes me. By my face alone - even if my outfit and vibe was different than usual - they knew I'd want guacamole. And they were thoughtful enough to let me know before I spent $12 on a pile of (mostly) beans, rice, and corn. And when I went ahead and ordered anyway, they added a few extra scoops to make up for it without me even asking.

I guess this means I'm a regular?

one thing i really wish people wouldn’t forget when it comes to suguru’s character is that his core desire is just to have a family. not in a nuclear family way, but in a “i want a place where i belong / i want to protect the ones i love” way…… literally everything else is just an extension of that desire. a means to meet that end. he broke down after being forced to realize that staying with his family meant having to watch them die, so he left and made a new one. and he got stronger. and his core wish was always, always always to create a world where he’d finally be able to protect them :(((((((((

Loved that Ray was along for the ride in Frozen Empire, he wanted to get stuck back in, and he wanted to help Pheobe and Podcast with the mystery

but it would've been great if just occasionally Ray (or Peter, or Winston, though they weren't interacting with the new guys on a personal level much) just dropped a couple of tips he'd learnt from his time, or just helpful anecdotes from back in the day - the kind that you're confused by at the moment but later make you go "oh shit, that's why they told me"

i have a lot of snooty old-money behaviors but the one which i do recommend wholeheartedly to other people is, if you live in a multi-unit with a dedicated groundskeeper, live-in maintenance or one specific 'fix-it' person, i believe that every year around the holidays that person should receive from you a christmas card with a little note and $20.

The lock clicks. He slips his suit jacket off. Loosens then removes his tie. Untucked, buttons undone. It’s all laid out on the bed. Step by step. Shoes set to the side and trousers swapped for silken pajama pants.

The bathroom door closes behind him. The second lock between him and the world. The shower comes on. Towel laid out on the counter.

His drawer, second down on the left. He pulls out the small black bag. Gold zipper. Supple leather. Inside, his collection. Three packs of new razor blades. An open pack of blades; used ones tucked into the back. A single hypodermic needle. A crafting knife. Two unopened band aids.

The rest of the drawer’s contents is ignored, antiseptic and suture kits, butterfly closures and rolls of gauze, in favor of practiced hands sliding the tin of blades from the bag and the blade from the tin.

He sits on the toilet, lid down. Elbow straight. Fist clenched. The first slice with a small inhale. Bright and sharp and stinging. Familiar and comforting. Line after line as red blooms from the wounds. The ecstasy second only to the Kiss. Rivulets follow gravity down. Strategically placed tissues catch the mess.

Stained crimson, they fall into the waste basket. He flexes his wrist, testing the pull of the broken skin, blots the last of the blood away. Blade inspected and stowed; everything returned to it’s place. Pajamas folded on top of the toilet, he steps into the shower.

@goopi-e Well let's see… where should I start? The mass assumption that Ganondorf just sort of left his kingdom for dead and stayed holed up in Hyrule Castle for seven entire years, (lolwut???) no longer caring about his fellow gerudos or even letting them know what the hell was going on?

Or something else? Maybe something a little dicier? Like the existence of gibdos? Or the fact he didn't save Nabooru after his moms decided her punishment? ... That last one might be a little self explanatory, though, if you understand his mindset.

Ganondorf is a man with a very strong sense of justice and a very skewed sense of morality. I think it's actually because he cared that he'd ever punish or let his people be punished like she was. Twinrova were his mothers too, so, it's likely he trusted their judgement more than anyone else's. A lower ranking pair of gerudo might not have gotten away with dealing justice in his name like that.

But I digress. I know I have to be missing something. I'm just very tired today and have a lot on my mind. Do feel free to let me know, though, if any of that interests you or if there's another thing I forgot to address that you want me to go into.

1. How does your OC get the comfiest? Do they wrap themselves in a blanket? Do they build a pillow nest? Do they make a nice cup of cocoa or tea?

YES.

mimi will take every blanket they can find, huddle in a corner, and wrap themselves into!! kind of cocoon. they do this mostly during the winter!! (the season makes them feel a little more sleepy and also, it gets really cold there.) with dots around, they do tend to make a little nest with the two of them :]. (mimi may steal a bit of the blankets oops—)

they’d prefer cocoa more! they’re also just like me, so they prefer peppermint hot chocolate the most. though they tend to down it before they huddle up, lest they risk spilling it on the blankets shsbsjs. they worked hard on those and it’s a bit difficult getting all the stains out :(.

4. What would be the best present to give your OC? Who would most likely be the one to give it to them? What is their reaction to receiving it?

oooooo!!! anything related to flowers or plants would be best, really!! they have an entire book about plant life, and a journal they regularly update :] (they also bring it with them on patrol!)

second best would be any kind of sewing patterns, or little trinkets (fleur likes collecting!) the most likely to give them the first would be dots, or any of those close to them (such as a few coworkers, or the tailor they help out.) the second would be the children they see on the daily XP.

their reaction to being given anything plants would be to gently cradle it, then spin around while their wings flap and buzz and their tail thumps against the ground and they ramble (stim stim stim—). with the others, they tend to.. run in place a bit and thank them profusely, a little teary-eyed :’). they also tend to ramble about the trinkets (the kids love when fleur does that!)
