People say BCS has no sex scenes. That is not correct. The scene where they throw beer bottles is a sex scene to me. It's so instinctual and raw. The discharge of pent-up emotion. The communication without words. They don't speak at all in the scene. He studies her intensely and then just knows what she needs. But it's not really implied that he gives her the idea. We see her eyeing the bottle the evening before already. She was clearly playing with the thought of just yeeting it off the balcony. He may have picked up on it, or maybe he just has the same idea at that moment.

Jimmy has a good instinctual understanding of the needs and mindsets of the people around him. He dangles the bottle and studies her reaction. He teases her. But the explosive action, the loud, violent throwing of the bottle, that's Kim. He follows her lead. She throws them angrily, he throws them playfully. He throws to keep her company.

She's not just with him because he's exciting. He also gets her, the side of her that she can't express well, he's attentive and attuned. She's also the first one to throw a full bottle.

I once read a fanfic on tumblr about Kim and Jimmy trying out some light BDSM, just her slapping him (with his enthusiastic consent) around a bit during sex, and it felt very right. Their power relations are complex - they both need each other, but he is much more overt about it. I think he very much enjoys feeling her power.

Then the next episode begins with them naked in bed, implying the whole situation did lead to sex. We see a nude shot of him, her hand still possessively on his body, while only her upper back and head are visible.

Later he leaves for work, saying the glass shards are not their problem, but she stays behind and cleans them up. There's so much of both their personalities in that bottle-throwing. It's so symbolic. And in a way, it's quite sensual.
