Vampire natalie scatorccio 🧍🏽‍♀️🫦
Tumblr media Tumblr media
comes through your window unannounced, especially late in the afternoon or at night, and laughs at you cuz you shit your pants every single time 😭 as if she didn’t do it on the daily lmaoo
she cuddles you a lot and is constantly snuggling up to you because she loves to feel your warmth. however, she's only this touchy in private; she isn't a big fan of pda. like pretty much everyone thinks she’s aloof af, but when y’all are alone in your room she’s like a big baby istg 😭
she loves laying her head against your chest; the sound of your heartbeats relaxes her a lot. she also likes it when you start playing with her hair simultaneously—running your fingers through it and gently massaging her scalp.
she has trouble hiding her fangs when she’s hungry, but you find her adorable nonetheless, especially when she laughs or smiles and her little fangs poke out 🥹
she often gives you little bites or nibbles on your skin, finding it comforting, especially because it's you. she always makes sure not to hurt you, though.
you have a mini fridge in your room, and you've been keeping chilled blood packs on hand in case she feels hungry and wants a snack.
she actually prefers them warm, but she makes you go downstairs and heat them up for her because she once ran into one of your parents in the kitchen, and it was really awkward 😭 (they don’t know she’s a vampire)
“oh, hi there! what are you heating up?” “um, well, you know, just... some, uh, tomato soup! yeah, i'm really into warm tomato soup right now.” “tomato soup? at 1 am?"

"Misty is the scariest Yellowjacket!" "No it's Taissa!"
Are you kidding me. It's so obviously Shauna. Shauna is so fucking viscerally terrifying it's not even funny. If I saw her walking down the street I'd turn and run the other direction. Except then her fuckin predator drive would get triggered and she'd start chasing me down.

one thing no yellowjackets fic captures is the fact that being high school girls, they def used 90's slang. Jackie was 100% telling Shauna that she was "totally buggin" whenever she got into one of her broody moods, and telling people she "gotta bounce" when she wanted to leave the party

my first yjs fic please don't kill me i lowkey hate this but here we go
Tumblr media Tumblr media
natalie scatorccio was the type of girl you never imagined yourself to even speak to. not because she was a “burnout”, or because she was drunk or high the majority of the time, but because of the way you two were polar opposites. she was on the soccer team, she had a rough home life, and spent most of her time with the other delinquents on campus, while you were in the newspaper club usually taking pictures of the sports teams, had a decent family life, and spent all your time with school.
and for some reason, since the first meeting, you two had a strong disliking for each other.
maybe it was the way she always taunted you with that damn smirk on her face, or how she would sometimes blow her cigarette smoke in your direction just to get you irritated. you didn't know why, but you hated her. in the beginning, at least.
you were friends with the other girls on the team, which meant wherever they went, nat was there too. so you unfortunately were forced to deal with her annoying antics towards you. the girls noticed fairly quickly how much you two hated each other, and decided to do something about it.
“shauna i don't understand why i need to be here when it's for your team,” you said to your friend. you were currently in her car while she drove you to jackie’s house where the team was going to have a “bonding” exercise. for some reason, shauna insisted that you come with. you had no idea why, but were forcefully dragged into her car so you were stuck with going.
“because you're our friend too,” shauna replied, keeping it short with her eyes on the road.
“i know that but,” you let out a huff of annoyance. “i don't wanna see her.” you mumbled.
shauna glanced over at you for a split second before back at the road. “i honestly doubt she'll be there, it’d be a rare sight to see her in such an environment like jackie’s house,” she said in response. obviously she knew who you were talking about, it was incredibly clear when that scowl would form on your face just thinking about having to deal with nat again. which is exactly why she was doing this. well, the whole team. even jackie was for the idea, as long as it meant nat wouldn't be distracted on the field anymore. so, it was the whole team setting up you and nat.
you arrived at jackie’s house a few minutes later, seeing the other cars outside telling you that the others were already there, and you could feel yourself already getting irritated at the thought of having to communicate with nat.
“come on y/n, don't pout like a puppy,” shauna chuckled lightly as the two of you walked inside the giant house.
“i’m not pouting,” you grumbled.
“y/n!” jackie exclaimed, running towards the two of you. “i’m so glad you made it!” she smiled widely at you.
“it’s no problem,” you smiled back. “i wasn't doing anything tonight anyway, my parents are out of town.”
“perfect!” jackie clasped her hands together. “follow me and we will start!”
you followed behind jackie besides shauna, noticing the quick glance they gave each other but choosing to ignore it seeing as they always had those weird glances with each other. the three of you made it to the living room where the rest of the team was sitting on the couches and chairs. your eyes immediately landed on the one girl you didn't want to see, and a scowl formed on your face before looking away.
she was wearing that same leather jacket she always seemed to wear outside of practice, and you found yourself taking another glance at her only for her to already be looking at you, making you quickly avert your gaze.
“all right! now that everyone is here,” jackie stood in front of everyone. “i think we all know why we are here, and it's not for a team bonding exercise, sorry!”
your expression turned into confusion, and apparently you were the only one confused, until you saw nat with the same look on her face.
oh no. no. you thought to yourself. there's no way. if this was some sort of thing to make you and nat be friends you were going to kill shauna for forcing you into her car.
“so, there's been something we’ve noticed as a team dealing with one of us being…distracted, during practice and games,” jackie started, trying to look at everyone but continuously going between nat and you. “so, we need to fix that! nat, will you please stand?”
with a confused look still on her face, nat stood from her spot in the recliner. “what the hell is going on here, jackie?” she asked with a sigh.
“you’ll see,” van chuckled but quickly went quiet after tai sent her a glare.
“now y/n, please stand,” jackie said to you.
you rose from the couch and looked at jackie trying your best to ignore nat.
“come here, both of you,” jackie waved her hands gesturing for the two of you to come closer.
you slowly took a few steps forward, watching as nat stepped closer as well, until you both were standing in front of each other with jackie in between.
“jackie, i really don't understand what-”
suddenly you were cut off by being grabbed by the wrist by jackie who grabbed onto nat as well.
“follow me!” jackie said to you two before dragging you both behind her.
you opened your mouth to protest but caught a glance of the other girls’ faces and realized this is the “bonding exercise”. it wasn't supposed to be for the team. it was supposed to be for you and nat. you let jackie drag you down the long hallway, not listening to nat trying to pull out of jackie’s surprisingly strong grip before jackie opened a door to a guest room, pushing you two inside.
“you two are staying in here for an hour and you will become friends,” jackie told you both.
“what?!” you exclaimed. “that's what you brought me here for?!”
“you’ll be fine, y/n!” shauna said behind jackie, peeking her head over the other girl’s shoulder.
“jackie, i swear to-” you took a step forward and jackie immediately closed the door in your face, and you heard a click from the door. you tried to open the door, only for it now to be locked. “jackie!” you called, smacking your hand on the door. “jackie, i will kill you!”
“you’ll love me for this!” she said through the door. “it's just one hour!”
footsteps were heard leaving the area and you let out a long sigh. you turned around to see nat with her arms crossed over her chest, and you let out an annoyed huff.
“did you know about this?” you asked.
“of course not,” nat shook her head. “i didn't wanna be here in the first place,” she mumbled afterwards.
“well, that makes two of us,” you replied.
the room was filled with silence after that, and after a few minutes you felt like you were going to go insane. you glanced around at the bland room before your eyes landed on nat again, who was staring at you.
“do you have a problem with me or something?” you asked her finally.
“what?” she questioned, looking at you confused.
“you're always staring at me,” you said. “and you taunt me constantly, always blowing smoke in my face, or so close that i can practically taste the alcohol in your breath.”
“tsh,” she scoffed, rolling her eyes. “i do that with everyone.”
“bullshit,” you snapped. “you don't do it to your teammates and you don't do it to those two drunkards you hang around.”
“and?” she said.
“and?” you repeated, getting angrier at every response she was giving. “so what the fuck is your problem with me? is it because i don't take pictures of you on the field or something?”
“oh fuck you,” nat spat. “i don't need pictures taken of me.”
“you wish,” you replied with just as much venom in your voice.
“maybe i do, since you think everyone has some massive fucking crush on you or something,” nat took an angry step towards you.
“me?” you half-laughed, also taking a step forward. “don't you suck dick for some weed and booze?”
“at least i know who i am,” nat glared at you.
“you don't,” you retorted. “you don't have a goddamn clue who you are or what you want.”
“you don't know a fucking thing about me,” nat pointed her finger at you. “i’m at least not a fucking coward who can't admit what they feel.”
“oh you feel things?” you feigned shock. “what a surprise, natalie scatorccio feels things! like what exactly?”
“that i fucking hate you,” she told you and took another step closer.
“i hate you,” you said in response.
you two stared at each other for a few seconds, then suddenly nat took one more step and smashed her lips on yours. your shock went by in a mere second, and you quickly kissed back with just as much passion. her arms wrapped around your waist, pulling you closer to her as your hands found their way to her hair.
when you both pulled away to breathe, you wanted to smack that damn smirk off her face.
“i knew you had a thing for me,” nat said teasingly.
“i do not,” you scoffed, shaking your head. “i have zero feelings for you.”
“i bet i can change that,” she challenged.
one of your eyebrows raised at that. “oh really? are you challenging me?”
“uh-huh,” she nodded. “i’ll bet you that by the time states come around, you'll have fallen for me.”
“and what are we betting exactly?” you asked.
“weed and booze?”’ nat flashed a cocky smile at you.
“i suppose, only since i can easily get some,” you nodded.
“easily? shit, i guess i should've done this sooner,” nat let out a chuckle.
“you wish,” you replied with an eye roll.
“oh, i do,” she whispered and leaned in to kiss you again.
that was how the bet started. you didn't think she was serious until the monday back to school and she found you during lunch period. now instead of the annoying antics, it was a whole new type of annoying behavior with her trying to convince you to smoke just one joint with her, maybe something crazier if she has it, and the flirting that she was now constantly doing.
one day, you decided to take the joint just to please her and shut her up.
you invited her over to your house, knowing she wouldn't want you at her place, and while it took a bit of convincing to get her there, it all worked out in the end.
the two of you were sitting on your bed, a random movie playing on your television you got for your birthday while nat was about to light the joint in her hand. you took your parents ashtray from their room for nat to use, and as soon as she lit it, you weren't paying attention to the movie anymore.
she immediately noticed your stare not leaving her as she took the first drag of the joint, turning her head to the side to blow the smoke out and avoid your face. then she came up with a bright idea.
“you wanna try?”
“what?” you asked, confused.
“just take one small hit from it, you’ll live,” nat said, handing the joint towards you.
with a minute of hesitation, you reached for the joint and held it up to your lips, inhaling the smoke and feeling it invade your lungs as you coughed and blew the smoke out.
“see? you're okay,” nat flashed a small smile at you, taking the joint back from you. “come here,” she said, waving her unoccupied hand.
you moved closer to her, and watched as she inhaled the smoke and held it in for a few seconds. she then held your face in her hands and leaned in, kissing you deeply while blowing the smoke into your mouth at the same time. your hands grasped her hoodie as you felt the smoke trail into your mouth, your eyes closing at the feeling of nat’s lips on yours.
when nat pulled away and looked at you, the way you opened your eyes and gazed back at her made her want to just kiss you over and over again. so with another drag of the joint, the process repeated until the whole joint was gone and nat was between your thighs making you feel things you had never felt before.
she never let you live that one down. proceeding to then ask over and over again if you’ll smoke with her again even if nothing happens, she just can't keep her hands to herself when she's high around you. she loves the way your warm skin feels against her cold hands, she loves gripping your waist to tug you closer to her, and god does she love the way you taste on her tongue with her hands clamped on your legs keeping them open. she couldn't get enough of you.
and you found yourself falling for her, just like you said you wouldn't. in the beginning it was easy to deal with her annoying behavior towards you, but over time you enjoyed it more, because you realized she was being genuine with you.
the night you realized you had indeed fallen for nat was when she came to you after a long day of arguing with her mom’s new boyfriend, drenched in the rain from walking the whole way.
“nat? it's like, midnight,” you said when you opened your front door to see the blonde standing there.
she looked like a puppy that had just gotten kicked out of their house, looking at you with sad eyes, her makeup trailing down her cheeks.
“come in,” you grabbed her hand and pulled her inside.
she was silent the whole way to your bedroom, even when you handed her a spare pair of her clothes she “accidentally” left the last time she was at your house. you let her take a shower as you stared at your tv, now completely awake and likely not going to get back to sleep until the early morning. when nat walked back into your bedroom, you waved your hand to gesture for her to come to you.
she stood in front of you as you sat on the bed, swiveling around to face her. your arms wrapped around her, gently pulling her closer to you as you peered up at her.
“you can always come here if you need anything, okay? i don't want you to have nowhere to go,” you told her in a soft voice.
“thank you,” she finally spoke quietly.
you nodded your head. “c’mon, you can sleep here tonight.” you tugged on the hem of her shirt.
“are you sure?” she asked.
“mhm,” you nodded again.
you scooted over so she could get in next to you and she slowly got in the bed, laying next to you awkwardly.
“are you okay?” you asked.
a head shake was the response you got.
“do you wanna talk about it?” was your next question.
another head shake in response.
“okay,” you nodded your head. “you don't have to.”
nat rolled over onto her side to face you, and you couldn't help but stare at her beautiful bare face without any makeup on. she could feel your gaze on her, and it made a red hue form on her face.
“why’re you staring at me?” she whispered.
“because you're beautiful like this,” you answered back in a whisper.
“you don't mean that,” she shook her head.
“i do,” you replied. “call me crazy but i like this version of you too.”
“mm,” she hummed, her eyes avoiding yours. “you don't think i’m some kind of burnout that's a burden to you?”
“never,” you shook your head. you carefully reached one of your hands to touch her cheek. “you will never be a burden to me, nat. i can promise you that. if you have nowhere to go, then i’ll be here. if you have no one else to rely on, i’ll be here. okay?”
“okay,” she said quietly.
you flashed a small smile at her before slowly wrapping your arms around her and pulling her closer to you. she quickly relaxed into your touch, resting her head on your chest with her own arms gripping you tightly as if she was worried you would disappear suddenly.
there was a nice, calm silence that filled the room now, and nat was close to falling asleep when she heard you whisper something quietly that made her feel something she hadn't felt before.
“i love you.”
she thought it was a dream when she woke up the next morning, not believing that those were the words you spoke to her thinking she was asleep.
nat woke up first due to the sun peeking through your curtains, making her groan quietly and open her eyes, blinking a few times to adjust to the light. she glanced at you beside her still asleep and realized your arms remained around her through the whole night, making a warm feeling radiate through her body. she rested her head on the pillow again and silently stared at you while you slept.
she was thinking about what you had said before she fell asleep. she was unsure if she was just imagining it or if you actually said it. she didn't know if she should question it, not wanting to ruin the closest thing she had to someone who genuinely loved her. but, she wanted to ask so badly at the same time. she wanted, no, needed to know if you were being serious. it would tear her apart if you were lying or just saying it to make her feel better. nat shook her head at the thought of you lying about it. surely, you wouldn't lie about something like this.
“are you gonna stay staring at me or is a good morning too much for you?” you groggily asked nat, opening your eyes slowly.
nat’s face immediately turned bright red at your words, and she quickly averted her gaze. “sorry,” she mumbled quietly.
“chill, i’m just playing,” you giggled. “did you sleep?”
“yeah,” nat nodded. “thanks for letting me stay.”
“of course,” you smiled at her.
silence filled the room after you responded. nat kept giving short glances to you and quickly looking back away and back down at the bed. it was obvious that she was thinking about something, so you decided to question it.
“what’re you thinking about?”
she immediately shook her head slightly. “nothing.”
“i can tell it's something,” you moved closer to her, carefully pushing some of her hair out of her face. “what is it?”
nat avoided your eyes, looking down. “did you mean what you said last night?” she asked in a small voice.
you stared in silent shock for a few seconds, not knowing that she had heard you. “you…heard that?” you said slowly.
all nat did was nod as a response, still not looking at you. you didn't know what to do, either. this was definitely not the way you wanted it to come out, but it looks like you were going to have to work with it.
“i meant it,” you said suddenly, making nat now look at you. “i thought you were asleep which is why i said it but, i meant it. i love you, nat.”
she gazed back at you with slightly widened eyes, trying to process what you said and when she did, she felt her heart beating incredibly fast. “i love you too,” she whispered.
a smile quickly grew on your face and you cupped nat’s face in your hands, leaning in and kissing her. you could feel nat smile into the kiss, and when you pulled away, your smile grew bigger seeing the same one on her face.
“so, does this mean i win the bet?” nat questioned in a teasing tone.
“yes, you won the bet,” you laughed lightly. “i’ll get the stuff tomorrow.”
“wait, you were serious about getting it easily?” nat asked, now serious.
“yeah, my cousin gives me cheap prices,” you nodded, saying it nonchalantly.
“holy shit i think i just fell more in love with you,” nat grinned at you, wrapping her arms around you and kissing your cheeks. “are your parents gonna be home this weekend?”
“nope,” you answered with a smile. “so i’ll stash it all until you get here.”
“god, you're amazing,” nat responded, now starting to kiss all over your face. “we’ll have such a fun time.”
“you just want me to smoke with you again.”
“oh yeah, a hundred percent.”

Jackie Taylor x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
part one part two ➴ part three
A/N: Hii thanks for the love on part one ! This is part two and i’ll probably make one more part after this <3
Summary: Jackie starts sending you mixed signals and you struggle to keep up with her. (shitty description ik shh)
-
Students fill the classroom groggily walking over to their desks. You and Taissa always talk in homeroom and today you wanted to get her advice on Jackie.
“Do you even know if she’s gay?” Taissa asks.
You look down at your book bag. “Well no, I mean she didn’t even know I was.”
Taissa laughs. “Yeah she’s definitely straight. A blind person would know you were gay just based off your voice.” She says, poking fun at you.
“You’re the worst.” You joke back to Taissa.
“But seriously, the hardest part of it all is that before last week she barely crossed my mind and now, I can’t stop thinking about her.” You sigh.
Just as Taissa was about to add on to the conversation, you feel a weight on your desk in front of you.
At the front of your desk stood Jackie, flashing her gorgeous smile.
“Good morning!” She said in her normal chirpy voice. Taissa looks between you and her puzzled. “Who are you guys talking about?” Jackie asks, having overhead a little bit of you guys conversation.
You look at Taissa silently pleading for her to help you. You were the worst at lying and Taissa could win a medal in it if she wanted to.
“No one that interesting.” Taissa says, lying. “You’re so dressed up today Jackie.” She adds on, attempting to change the subject
Jackie was wearing a skirt with a plaid pattern on it. Her pink sweater was tucked into the skirt and Taissa was right she did seem to be more dressed up than usual.
“Yeah you are,” You add. “You look good though.” You say as you look Jackie up and down checking out her outfit.
She smiles at your words and a deep blush spreads across her face.
“Thank you, You look good too.” She reaches over to you and lightly runs her fingers through your hair for a second. Backing away she says, “You always look good though.” She moves off your desk and winks at you before walking away leaving you a flustered mess.
You turn your gaze to Taissa who’s just looking at you with a knowing eyebrow.
“I’m not crazy right?” You say. “She’s flirting with me?”
“No, definitely not crazy.” Taissa laughs out.
The rest of the day was a blur you tried to avoid Jackie knowing you’d just embarrass yourself if she spoke to you. It was easy to avoid her in the classes you shared and in the halls. But, at practice it would be more of a challenge.
-⚽️-
You were dreading practice all day today. Usually, it was a place for you to clear your mind. But the one reason your mind wasn’t clear just happened to be there.
Before practice, you were walking out of the locker room with Nat laughing at some dumb joke she made about Randy Walsh. She had started talking to him recently and couldn’t stop making jokes about how much of a weirdo he was. Which happens to be exactly her type.
Watching you laugh at Natalie’s jokes, Jackie glares at Nat from across the field. She couldn’t help but wonder if you and Nat were a thing. Ever since what you told her yesterday she was curious. You guys were always together and you seemed to think whatever she was saying was the funniest thing in the world. She didnt know why she cared so much but she did.
During practice the team had a scrimmage against each other. Jackie formed the teams and of course she put you on her team. You were already nervous about being next to her on the field after almost knocking her out about a week ago. All you could do was pray it would be fine.
-⚽️-
The end of the scrimmage was nearing. The teams were tied 2-2. Whoever scored next would win.
Van, who was on your team, stole the ball from Shauna and ran towards Lottie to pass the ball to her. Lottie missed the ball and at the last second you ran in-front of Laura lee who almost caught it. You maneuvered the ball away from her causing her to trip. You ran downfield towards the goal and took the shot. And shockingly enough, you made it.
When the ball went in Coach Ben blew his whistle and yelled, “Game! Jackie’s team: Wins.”
Jackie ran over to you and basically tackled you into a hug.
“Jesus Y/N! How the hell did you make that shot?” Still in her arms she looked at you smiling.
You smiled back at her, her hair was stuck to her face from sweat and she was slightly flushed from running. But, she still looked pretty as ever. It was almost annoying that she could still look so beautiful after a full practice.
“To be honest I didn’t think I would.” You say, laughing.
Jackie pulls away from you but leaves her arm around your shoulders. You both walk over to get water.
“I’m glad I put you on my team today.” She giggles out.
You nod, “Me too.”
-⚽️-
After practice, while changing in the locker room you were talking to Nat, as usual, about tonight. There was a Halloween party and you and Nat were trying to pick out your outfits.
“Maybe I could be like a pirate or something?” You say, lacing up your shoes.
“That’s pretty cute actually.” Nat agrees. “And on brand, you steal people’s shit in real life too.”
Rolling your eyes you interject, “That was one time, and I was twelve.”
“Are you guys going to the party together?” You hear a voice behind you say. Turning around you see Jackie’s hazel eyes looking between you and Nat questioningly.
“Uh yeah, I guess” Nat says nonchalantly. “I mean I’m driving her there. I always do though.” She explains.
“Oh, okay I’ll see you guys there then.” Jackie says, sounding a little bit disappointed.
As she walks away you notice her look back at you and she gives you a tiny smile before disappearing behind the wall to the way outside.
“Did she sound upset or was it just me?” You question turning to look at Nat.
Nat just shrugged. “Maybe she wanted to go with you. She has been oddly close to you recently. I mean the way she hugged you after you scored on a Scrimmage? C’mon man.” Nat explained, enunciating the word scrimmage.
Your face contorts with confusion at Nats words. Did Jackie really like you? She couldn’t right? I mean you guys had just started to become friends like a week ago after what happened at practice. Maybe you were just overthinking everything and Jackie was like this with everyone.
She was naturally charming and you were probably just reading over everything wrong.
You drove home from practice that day and didn’t stop for coffee. You just wanted to get home and take a nap before the party. Life was too confusing.
-⚽️-
You’d been at the party for about an hour now. You had been dancing, drinking and doing anything and everything to get Jackie off your mind. Everything was so loud. Halloween music was blasting and you could barely hear anything.
You were dressed in a pirate costume like you planned. It was a tight white dress with a black corset and long boots. The dress barely reached your knees and you wore a red bandana on your head with an eyepatch. You might’ve been dressed a little bit skimpy but it was Halloween, so was every other girl on the planet.
You look over to the couch with Natalie sitting on it talking to Randy.
“I’m gonna grab another drink!” You say practically, yelling over the music so Nat would understand what you meant. She didn’t react to anything you had said. Either the music was too loud or she was too focused on Randy.
You push through the crowds of people struggling to stay upright and finally find the kitchen.
You grab a cup and pour yourself a beer. You were honestly struggling to hold the cup right. To say you were tipsy might be a little bit of an understatement.
“Here to steal my gold?” You hear a familiar voice say. Jackie was standing next to you dressed as Tatum from Scream. You were shocked you weren’t drooling because of how hot she looked.
Your brain finally processes her joke and you laugh a little bit. “Nah, I like your costume though very hot!” You say, still yelling over the music.
Jackie was definitely just as drunk as you, if not more. It was pretty late into the night and she looked like she had been here for about 2 hours already.
Continuing to pour your drink you suddenly feel a wet splash across your chest. “Bitch!” You hear Jackie yell at a girl behind her. The girl shoved her into you causing her to spill her drink all over your costume. “I’m so sorry Y/N!” Jackie slurs out looking like she wanted the floor to swallow her whole.
“It’s okay!” You say, you were too drunk to really care. Jackie grabs your hand and drags you through the crowd. You absentmindedly followed her too distracted by her warm touch to think about where you were going.
You both walk into a bathroom with Jackie closing the door behind you. The bathroom wasn’t very big and your heart was beating out of your chest at the proximity to Jackie.
She wet a paper towel and started to wipe at your chest. Jackie was so focused on getting the stain she caused out, she didn’t realize how close she was to you. You guys were basically sharing breaths at this point.
“It’s almost out, I think?” Jackie says meeting your eyes. Hers go wide for a second as she realizes your distance. Your breathing was labored and your cheeks a deep shade of crimson. You both stood there for a moment. Both trying to understand what the other was thinking. Just before you were going to lean in, Jackie backed away plopping herself down on the bathroom floor.
Her eyes avoided yours as you sat down next to her.
You both just sat there for a minute until she blurted out, “So are you and Nat like, Y’know?”
You scrunched your eyes together hoping she wasn’t suggesting what you thought she was. “Actually no, I don’t know. Are we what?”
Almost mockingly she looks over at you as if what she was saying wasn’t obvious. “Like, dating…”
You widen your eyes at her and burst into a fit of giggles. “Hell no.” You laugh out.
Jackie just looks at you like you’re crazy.
“I wouldn’t date her if she offered me a million dollars. She’s just my best friend.” You say.
“Oh.” Jackie says, furrowing her eyebrows confused at the fact she read it all wrong.
Your drunken mind finally connects the dots. “Why do you care if we’re dating anyway?”
She rolled her eyes at your words and gave you an angry look as if you had just told her that her outfit was ugly or something.
“Really?” She asks you, disappointed by your question.
Quicker than you’d expected she got up and stormed out the bathroom. Leaving you dumbfounded and confused. What did you say that pissed her off so badly?
The party kind of sucked after that. You
just sat outside and smoked with Van and Taissa. Which was a bad idea as they were so obviously in love, and you, were so obviously confused with your love life.
The worst part of it all was Shauna had to drive you, Natalie and, Jackie home since Natalie ended up drinking when she was supposed to be designated driver. The tension in the car was unbearable and you were dying to get out.
Every few minutes Jackie would look into the rearview mirror just to shoot you a dirty look. Nat noticed too and tried to whisper to you. “What’d you do to piss the princess off?” She said very loudly, her drunk mind making her think she was whispering. Everyone in the car had have heard what she said and you just hid your face in your hands for the rest of the ride.
When you finally got dropped off you looked back into the car while walking up to your house. You and Jackie made eye contact and she looked like you had just kicked her puppy or something. You were so lost. What did you do?

❛ i’m 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 from the 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞. ❜
𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 matt thought the crash was the first tremor, the first sign that everything was unraveling. but when yn vanished, the woods grew colder, the trees twisted into shadows, and nothing—not even their love—could hide from the dark that followed.
𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, angst, cannibalism (not too descriptive), psychological manipulation, slight use of religious imagery, trauma, gore, morally grey characters, death, this is set in a yellowjackets-inspired universe, drawing on the show’s general premise without incorporating its specific plot.. so no spoilers of the actual series !!!
𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭, 3k !
𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬, this fic’s plots is completely me, i cannot stress it enough !! while the yellowjacket girls make an appearance, i only borrowed the general themes of the crash and the cannibalism aspect from the show. what happens here is completely separate from the actual series, so the outcomes of the yellowjacket characters do not reflect their portrayal in the show. eeeeeeeenjoy
Tumblr media
the crash wasn’t the worst part.
not the grinding sound of the engines tearing themselves apart mid-air, not the cabin screams that split the air sharper than metal, not the sick pull of gravity as we spiraled down. not even the splintered bodies lying limp in the wreckage. that part ended. it was brutal, yes, but quick. final.
the worst part came after.
the fear swallowed us whole, silent and endless. the trees whispered things that didn’t make sense, shadows moved at the edge of sight, and the fear burrowed into our bones, becoming a part of us. hunger, though, that was louder than any scream. it started small, a tremor, an ache, and then it became everything. it clawed through every thought, every shred of hope.
“we’ll make it.” that’s what matt said. his voice had this strange certainty, like words alone could hold back the dark. we were dragging scraps of metal and wood into a crude pile that might pass as shelter. his hands were red and raw. “you’re tough, yn. you’ll survive this.”
i nodded because i didn’t want to say what we were both thinking.
hunger changes people. you don’t notice it all at once, just the little cracks forming. one day, someone takes an extra bite from their ration. the next, someone else disappears into the woods, and when they come back, their pockets are empty, but their lips are slick. we watched each other through the smoke of the fire, saw the hollows forming in each other’s cheeks, the glint of something desperate in everyone’s eyes.
i was the first.
the others would pretend it was the forest, the cold, or god himself that took me. but it wasn’t. not really. it was them—their eyes, their hunger, their hands.
i didn’t climb that tree to save myself. i climbed it for matt. his stupid lighter, the one he swore was more important to him than anything else, had gotten stuck in the branches. he said it was the last piece of home he had, the last piece of himself.
so i climbed.
the bark splintered in my palms as i climbed higher, the wind ripping at my face. i didn’t think about the branches snapping beneath me or how far i’d fall. i didn’t think about myself at all.
i thought about him.
when the branch pierced my stomach, i didn’t scream. not at first. i just stared at it—jagged, wet, too much. then i slipped, and the second branch tore through my thigh.
i held onto the lighter. i held on even when i hit the ground.
but no one came.
i lay there for hours, the blood soaking into the dirt beneath me. i tried to crawl back, but the woods stretched on endlessly. my nails scraped against the earth, my breath hitched in my throat, and the sky flickered above, like a fading light—undecided, as though it couldn’t choose whether to help or simply watch me die.
by the second day, i was too weak to move. the blood had dried, sticky and black, and the roots curled around me like they were pulling me under. i tried to pray, but my voice cracked, so i bit into the dirt instead.
god didn’t save me.
but the woods were there.
they buried me beneath the leaves, letting the branches weave themselves through my skin. they made me part of them—part of everything.
the others didn’t find me until it was too late.
i remember the way they stared.
shauna cursed under her breath, her face hard like she was trying not to care. jackie gasped, her hands covering her mouth, her eyes filling with tears she wouldn’t let fall. nat turned away, and tai kept her arms crossed, biting the inside of her cheek like she wanted to disappear.
but matt…
matt knelt beside me, his hands trembling as he picked up the lighter from where it had fallen, his thumb brushing over the bloodstains on the metal.
he didn’t cry. he just stared at me, like he was seeing me for the first time.
i don’t know how long they left me there. maybe it was days. maybe weeks. the forest swallowed time like it swallowed me, stretching it out until they couldn’t take it anymore.
they stopped looking at me like i was yn—the girl who argued with nat about firewood, who laughed too loud when jackie told bad jokes, who kissed matt behind the cabin when no one else was looking.
they started looking at me like i was something else.
lottie was the first. she whispered that i was chosen, that the forest had claimed me but left me for them. she lit candles by my body, pressed her hands to the ground like she was trying to feel my heartbeat through the earth.
the others followed.
they stopped saying my name. they started calling me a gift. a sign. a saviour.
matt didn’t say a word.
but i could feel his hands, brushing the leaves from my hair, smoothing the blood from my cheeks. i could feel how he stayed by my side even as the others began to lose themselves.
it wasn’t devotion.
it was desperation.
and when the hunger finally broke them, it wasn’t lottie who made the first cut. it wasn’t shauna, or misty, or even tai.
it was matt.
i watched him with the knife in his hand, his jaw tight, his eyes dark. he told himself it was for them, that it was for me. but i knew the truth.
it wasn’t love that drove him. it was guilt.
the air was thick with smoke and desperation. they whispered things like “it’s what she would’ve wanted.” like that made it less cruel.
they consumed me piece by piece, carving me into something i never was. i felt it all—not the pain, but the betrayal. lottie whispered prayers as she chewed. shauna didn’t say a word. nat wouldn’t look at me, her shoulders shaking as she tried to convince herself this wasn’t what it was.
it took them weeks to tear me apart.
but it would take them years to forget.
matt wouldn’t, though.
he carried me with him, in the dirt beneath his fingernails, in the whispers of the trees, in the ache that settled in his chest every time he thought of me.
they called me an angel. a prophet.
but i wasn’t.
they called me a saviour. said i saved them. turned my name into something holy, something they could cling to when the guilt crept in.
they lied to themselves because the truth was too much to bear. i wasn’t their salvation. i wasn’t their light.
i was the first.
the first meal.
the wilderness turned me into something they could use. a forest maiden wrapped in moss, silent and still, hanging like the last line of a song.
the roots, the branches, the dirt. i was the hunger that twisted them into something monstrous.
and matt?
matt would never escape me.
because no matter how much of me he consumed, no matter how much he buried me beneath his guilt, he knew the truth.
i wasn’t a gift. i wasn’t salvation.
i was betrayal.
and he loved me anyway.
i lingered in him like rot.
everytime matt closed his eyes, i was there—my body stretched out on the forest floor, blood pooling beneath me, my fingers still curled around that lighter. he could still see the wounds, the gaping holes that the branches had carved into me. and he could still hear my voice, though he told himself it was just the wind moving through the trees.
i wasn’t letting him go.
the others moved on in their way. lottie twisted the story of my death into something holy, a sign of the forest’s will. she told them i had been chosen because i was pure, because i had given myself to something greater. they needed to believe it. they needed to make my suffering mean something.
shauna didn’t believe it—not really. but she clung to it anyway, like she clung to everything that made her feel powerful. she became a shadow of herself, the dog that lottie trained to obey. shauna sharpened the knives. shauna prepared the fires. shauna made it easy for them to swallow me, to carve me into pieces until i was unrecognizable.
jackie didn’t touch me.
she stayed in the cabin most days, silent and trembling, her eyes red and swollen. i think she knew what would happen to her next. it didn’t matter that she hadn’t eaten me, that she had refused to look at me once they carried my body back. she knew the forest wouldn’t spare her.
and nat—god, nat. she carried the weight of all of it on her shoulders. she cursed herself for not finding me sooner, for not hearing my screams. she never prayed with lottie, never touched the offerings. but she wasn’t innocent. she had eaten me too. they all had.
even matt.
especially matt.
he stayed by my side, even when the others began to look at me as a thing, a relic, a resource. he refused to leave the spot where they had placed me, curling his body around mine like i could still feel his warmth. he whispered to me when no one else was listening, told me he was sorry, told me it wasn’t supposed to be like this.
but his hands betrayed him.
when they carved into me, when they pulled me apart, matt didn’t look away. he didn’t stop them. he held the knife himself, trembling but determined. i don’t know what he told himself in those moments—maybe that i would’ve wanted this, that it was a kindness, that it was survival.
but i could feel him breaking.
he tried to bury what he had done, what they had all done. but i wouldn’t let him.
i was in the dirt he walked on, in the branches that scraped against the cabin windows at night, in the silence of the forest that stretched on for miles. i was in his mind, in the flicker of the lighter he couldn’t bear to throw away, in the breath he couldn’t seem to catch every time he thought of me.
matt loved me.
but love wasn’t enough to save me.
and now, it wasn’t enough to save him.
because i was everywhere now. in every shadow, in every prayer lottie whispered, in every crackling fire that reminded them of the warmth they had once known.
i was everything they had turned me into.
and i was never leaving.
they carried me with them. not my memory, not the person i was, but what i’d turned into. they left pieces of themselves in the leaves, the dirt, the jagged roots of the forest that had consumed me. but they carried pieces of me, too—in their blood, in their bones, in their guilt.
when they walked out of the wilderness and into the arms of rescue, i stayed behind.
the world called them survivors. they painted them as heroes, as victims, as something worth saving. they didn’t know the truth. they didn’t know what they did to me, how they turned me into something i wasn’t
but matt—matt still visits me. not the real me, not the girl i was before the crash, but the idea of me that he’s convinced himself exists. he comes every year, kneeling at the polished stone that bears my name. it isn’t really my grave—just a polished stone with my name on it, a symbol for the girl you needed me to be. a hollow monument, as hollow as the promises he whispered into my dead ears.
“you saved us,” he whispers sometimes, like saying it enough times might make it true.
but i wasn’t their saviour.
i was their sacrifice.
and they had no right to me.
he brings lilies every time—delicate, white, pristine as the snow that buried jackie later, pristine as the image of me he’s built in his head. he lays them down carefully, his hands shaking as if the act itself is sacred.
i hate the lilies.
he doesn’t talk much, just sits there for hours like the weight of my name carved into stone might somehow balance the weight on his chest. Sometimes he cries, quiet and ashamed, like he knows i’m watching, like he can feel the anger twisting in the empty space i’ve become.
but other times.. most times, he’s silent. not out of peace, but out of exhaustion. he looks thinner every year, his face pale and hollow, haunted by the ghosts he doesn’t dare name aloud.
i wonder if he hears me. if he can feel the cold breath of my resentment when the wind rustles the trees or the sharp edge of my betrayal in the silence that stretches between us.
it doesn’t matter.
none of their apologies matter.
because i am not that girl in the stories they tell themselves to sleep at night.
tai, who circled like a vulture, never touching but always hungry, until she finally sank her teeth into me, reshaping me into something twisted, something unrecognizable; nat, who whispered quiet lies into my ear, feeding me fragments of myself until there was nothing left but the hollow echo of who i used to be; shauna, who sharpened the knives and prepared the fire but pretends she wasn’t the first to look at me with that kind of hunger. van, who laughed too loudly and cried too quietly and ate me anyway. misty, who smiled as she said my name, who let herself believe it was all just survival. even lottie, with her empty eyes and her false divinity, calling me something holy while she carved into me like i was already gone.
they all came at first.
in the weeks after they were found, they came with trembling hands and whispered prayers. they placed offerings at my grave—tokens of their guilt disguised as gratitude. “you saved us,” they said, over and over, as if they could rewrite what happened with repetition alone.
but then they stopped coming.
the world beyond the wilderness swallowed them whole, wrapped them in warmth and comfort until they could almost forget the cold. almost.
nat tells herself that every breath she takes is a result of my sacrifice. she thinks of me when she looks in the mirror, when the guilt weighs heavy on her chest. she pretends that my death was necessary, that it’s what kept her alive, but she knows the truth—she watched as i was consumed, and she couldn’t stop it.. didn’t stop it.
tai tells herself that what she did was survival, that it wasn’t personal. she thinks of me when she’s alone in the dark, when the night feels too quiet. she pretends that my end was just another part of the game, but the truth gnaws at her, and she can never quite forget the way she let it happen.
shauna tells herself that every joy in her life is my gift to her. she thinks of me when her daughter laughs, when the candles on the birthday cake flicker in the warm light of her kitchen. she pretends my death bought her happiness.
van dreams of me, sometimes, though she never speaks my name. she sees me in the shadows, in the dirt beneath her fingernails, in the roots that still cling to her boots when she wakes. she tastes me in the back of her throat, bitter and rotten.
misty doesn’t dream at all.
and lottie—lottie prays to me. even now, even after everything, she still believes i was chosen, that i was destined to feed the earth, to become the roots and the trees and the endless, hungering dark.
but matt—matt keeps coming back. year after year, he carries my ghost with him, dragging it behind him like a broken promise. he looks at the stone, and i wonder if he’s seeing me or the version of me he created to survive.
i wasn’t a saviour. i wasn’t a martyr. i wasn’t the girl who gave herself willingly for the sake of the group.
i was terrified. i was angry. i died clutching the edges of my own fading humanity, praying that someone, anyone, would remember me as i was, not as what they turned me into.
but the wilderness doesn’t let you stay human.
it hollows you out. it makes you a vessel for hunger, for fear, for survival. and when it’s done, it spits you back out into the world, a monster in the shape of a person.
matt isn’t a monster, not in the way the others are.
he’s worse.
he’s the one who carries the weight of all their sins. he’s the one who lets it break him, piece by piece, as if his suffering could ever be enough to absolve them.
but guilt isn’t justice.
it’s not forgiveness, and it’s not redemption. It’s just another kind of hunger, gnawing away at the edges of his soul.
i want to scream at him, shake him, make him see that his penance means nothing to me.
but he doesn’t know me either.
none of them do.
they don’t know the girl who climbed that tree because matt’s lighter was stuck at the top and he couldn’t sleep without it. they don’t know the girl who laughed too loudly, who loved too fiercely, who was afraid of the dark but never said it out loud. they don’t know the girl who screamed when the branch stabbed through her side, who crawled, bleeding and broken, through the dirt while the wilderness swallowed her whole.
they don’t know the girl who died alone, hungry, cold, choking on dirt she thought might keep her alive just a little longer.
all they know is the version of me they created.
the saint. the saviour. the pretty girl consumed by death.
you don’t know the girl i was, the girl i could’ve been if you hadn’t taken everything from me. and now, i am the trees, the roots, the forest itself. i am the thing you buried and the thing you carry, and you will never escape me.
matt, you will never know me. no matter how many lilies you bring, no matter how many hours you spend staring at that stone, whispering apologies i’ll never accept.
i am not your saviour.
i am the girl you betrayed.
and every year, when the lilies bloom and the wind whispers through the trees, I wonder if you feel it—if you hear my voice, sharp and cold as the wilderness that made us.
you don’t even know me.
and you never will.
the wilderness stripped us bare, turned us into something monstrous, something less than human. you think you carried me out of it, but i was gone long before you walked away. i’m hanging from the tree, suspended in your mind, a phantom you can’t escape.
i hope you know i loved you. even after everything, even after the lies and the hunger and the fire, i loved you. but i wasn’t your saviour. i wasn’t your salvation.
i was just a girl—a girl who loved, and in the end, that was all i was allowed to be.

gf!Shauna Shipman HCs
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: shauna shipman x fem!reader
Summary: To be Shauna's girlfriend is… Something else, to say at least.
Word count: 1,4k.
Content: 96’ timeline, cursing, suggestive, kissing, kinda toxic shauna, jealousy, fluff, the team being done with u two.
Note: I think that’s probably a little too long for headcanons but I’m really glad someone asked for it cause I love writing for Shauna sm.
English is not my first language.
- You most likely only spoke to each other because you were paired up on some project in a class that you both hate. A classic, but also one of the few ways for Shauna to actively approach anyone she hasn't known for years or been introduced to by Jackie, the girl isn't very sociable.
- She definitely found the most random and stupid reason possible to not like you at first, just because she enjoys being a little hater.
- Like she doesn't want to meet with you to discuss the topic and just leaves you to do your part alone and you just do it because this quiet girl on the football team is pretty hot and also scares the hell out of you.
- When you guys inevitably put it all together she'd take one look at it and say it's shit and make you do it all from scratch again in like one night as if it was your fault.
- And you simply wouldn't understand why she decided to pick on you. She’d have a beef with you that only exists in her head and you’ll be like??? Wondering why the heck she keeps staring at you like a judging hare even after getting (surprisingly) an A+.
(that’s a strangely accurate description, but you think it fits her perfectly well. Eyes widen following you and nose angrily twitching when you pass by.)
- She has a crush on you. Since the beginning. But she has too many problems to actually admit that to herself.
- She would finally admit that fell for you when she sees you reading something by an author she loves. She's a cliché and a failure, no matter how much she tries to deny it. You'd be in the stands during one of the Yellowjackets' practices (by pure chance, definitely not because you want to watch her too), with a notebook open at your side and a book on your lap, working on an assignment for extra credit, Shauna would see you when she stopped to have some water and she wouldn't be able to concentrate on anything else for the rest of the day.
Especially if it was something by Virginia Woolf, Emily Dickinson or Shirley Jackson. She’d go feral. Seriously.
- Then she finally decides to act (after some suspicious looks from Jackie and screams from Taissa for disturbing everyone during the game) and it's like she was never mean to you. She’ll literally act like she's already your friend because she doesn't know how to apologize and start something properly. Will sit next you in class – and kick out whoever actually sat there – and talk to you normally, looking away and chewing on the end of her pen, speaking in a soft and innocent voice.
- You're very much confused and a little suspicious about all this, but you're not gonna complain about it with her slowly running a hand up your arm and blinking her bright deep eyes at you. Even though she still stares. A lot.
- This is how you get a girlfriend, which isn't really what you expected at all, but it's a pretty welcome change.
- gf!Shauna who only asked you out and took you for a milkshake on your first date, even though she doesn't really like sweets, when she heard Nat tell Van that she was thinking about doing that exactly same thing and finally decided to do something (they did it on purpose, just so that Shauna would stop bothering them with her constant yearning).
- gf!Shauna who accompanies you to all your classes, sometimes even being late for hers. She is so show off carrying your backpack for you and walking close enough for your shoulders to brush and rushing to Jackie's side after opening the door for you.
- gf!Shauna who keeps a hand on you all the time, on your shoulder, on your waist, on your arm, but who is too shy to hold your hand and intertwine your fingers properly. She'll become a mess if you hold her hand in the hallways or in front of the team and pretend like she doesn't like it, complaining that you're being clingy (she won't let you let go of her hand at all though).
- gf!Shauna who is jealous and possessive as fuck, no one is safe from her, not even Jackie. She will shoot daggers with her eyes and scare anyone who even breathes near you in a way that makes her feel insecure. Especially if it's someone on the team. Lottie is usually a recurring target of her reactions, making a point of keeping as much distance as possible from Shauna on the field after she sees her talking to you.
- Will totally pretend not to care and say there's nothing wrong when you ask if she's alright, while silently seething with rage and acting weird towards you, keeping everything to herself until she eventually explodes. gf!Shauna who waits until she's alone to write shit about you and the other person in her diary with a horrible, rushed handwriting.
- gf!Shauna, with whom you have to be really patient.
- gf!Shauna with whom you have study dates where she actually makes you study because she won't admit being with someone with a poor average, but who will start kissing you pretty quick until she ends up straddling you the moment she gets tired and decides you both had enough.
- gf!Shauna who absolutely loves seeing you in the stands during practice or a game. She'll show off like never before as soon as she realizes you've come, especially if you yell or cheer for her when she scores a goal. Nat, Lottie and Tai are rolling eyes hard for you two every single time.
- gf!Shauna who takes you in her car wherever you want and whenever you want, driving with one hand on the steering and an elbow resting on the window. Who looks at you with her big eyes shining like a kicked puppy if you ever say you don't need a ride.
- gf!Shauna who has the worst, most questionable taste in movies ever and who gets outraged if you mention it or try to get her to change her choice on a movie night. She's too stubborn to change her mind, so you settle for admiring her profile and leaning back against her warm body on the couch.
- gf!Shauna with whom you have almost weekly sleepovers because her parents are too oblivious to realize there’s something between you. Sleeping in her bed under the pretext that the floor is too cold and keeping the door closed so as not to bother anyone with your teenage nonsense and loud music. It's the perfect combination.
- gf!Shauna who keeps her favorite polaroids of you on your dates alongside the photos of her and Jackie on her bedroom wall.
- gf!Shauna who's always the big spoon and loves feeling your body against hers. She's practically a furnace, perfect for hiding your face on her neck or chest. The best way to fall asleep is with her arms around you and your face buried in her soft skin.
- gf!Shauna who loves to bite and leave marks for every inch of exposed skin you have. Who bites your shoulder joint and digs her nails into your back when you have her pressed against the mattress or the lockers in the changing room.
- gf!Shauna who goes crazy when she sees you in her clothes, especially her button-down shirts and flannels. Sometimes even hides your clothes just to have the excuse to give you hers, because she doesn't know how to ask you to wear them.
- gf!Shauna who writes cheesy and lame love poems for you like a victorian poet, because she doesn't know how to express herself in words without being on impulse or in a fight. You always praise her and thank her a thousand times for them, without letting her know that you don't understand most of what she writes.
- gf!Shauna who demands you tell her you love her before she does it first. She literally asks for it. And then she only says it back weeks later, rushed and nervous, at the moment you least expect it.
