hey everyone, I am finally back (with a really terrible picture to start us off)
This year has been hectic and I feel like I lost so much of myself and of this community because of it, but I’m feeling so much better and I am back!
Prelim exams are this week and next week and it’s pretty crazy

Digital Bujo
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just thought I might post last weeks August/September spread. This has been largely motivated by @studyblvsh and her one note bullet journal as well as inspired by @langblrstuff and their one note digital bujo. You should definitely check both of theirs out they're absolutely stunning and so detailed!

[ 1 1 - 5 - 2 0 1 8 ] an artist came in to teach us about still life painting at school! it was lovely and I feel like I learned a lot? it solidified a lot of stuff I’d been struggling to figure out on my own about structure and colour and tone and it was a really enriching experience. haven’t been working as hard as I could be. just got a job for the first time (woo!!) and I’m just desperately trying to adjust to that. also gonna try and go on a social media cleanse bc honestly I waste so much time on ig it’s ridiculous. 🎵 gooey - glass animals 🎵

You did brilliantly! Tips for someone starting y11 in September please??
Aww thank-you! My advice:• Laminate all your work so teachers can’t mark it • Sit next to the clever people in your class and copy their work • Stick googly eyes on your eyelids so teachers can’t tell when you’ve fallen asleep in class
Jk, please don’t do that • Don’t panic, I know it’s hard not to but I was left with only one day to revise my final exam and I still passed
• Revise a lot but don’t let it ruin you, your social life or your mental and physical health
• Know that it is possible to turn things around. At the start of year 11 I was incredibly depressed and suicidal, I was put on report and constantly in detention for not doing homework but with a lot of effort I managed to turn it all around towards the end of the year
• Pick a motto that speaks to you on a spiritual level, none of that “success is achievable when you believe in yourself” bullcrap you see on Facebook. For me, my motto came to me one night when I was jamming out to Missy Elliott and heard the line “just keep it going like the energizer bunny.” As weird as it sounds, it actually worked :D
• Set yourself up in a study space that works for you. For me, I could not concentrate at all in my bedroom so I started doing revision in the office and my grades just started getting better and better because I was able to concentrate in there.
•The aesthetic of your notes has no proportion to your grades, they don’t have to be pretty.
• Create or get into a class group chat, it was a golden revision tool for the people in my science class and I, I can honestly say that it helped so much. Also, our physics teacher very much endorsed it
• Be nice to teachers, you’ll need their help at some point
• You won’t get on with all teachers, that’s ok
• It will take some time to find a revision method that works for you, it doesn’t come straight away but once you find it, you’ll know it
• Do as many past papers as possible
• Be supportive of other students, congratulate them and tell them they’ll be able to do this, lend them a pen and help them with their work and the favour will be returned
But most importantly…• Get. A. Diary. And. Use. It
That was a lot but I hope it helped and good luck next year!

new studyblr!
hello, i’m alice from sydney, australia and i’m currently in year 11. i’m new to the studyblr community and decided to join in hopes of motivating me to study more efficiently and achieve better grades.
here’s a little about myself:
the subjects i currently take are: advanced and extension 1 english, legal studies, modern history, biology, pdhpe and french beginners.
my favourite subjects are legal studies and english. my least favourite subject is maths (bc i suck at it) and you can probably tell as i didn’t choose it as one of my subjects.
i’m planning on dropping biology and pdhpe in year 12 and picking up extension 2 english instead. (yay 4u english!)
i plan on getting into university and studying either criminology and criminal justice/law or international studies/communications and media.
i’m looking for studyblrs to follow so follow me and i’ll gladly follow back! also feel free to send me a message and become friends with me!

✨✨✨studyblr community challenge✨✨✨
I’ve been locked out of my tumblr for a little while, so here’s me doing the first half of this challenge in one long post.
Day 1 - Introduce yourself and tell us what you study!
I go by ruby on this site and I’m an electrical engineering student.
Day 2 - Explain your studyblr URL!
I drink about a litre of mint tea a day...
Day 3 - Why did you create your studyblr?
I was looking for inspo and tips during my time in IB, and I’ve kept at it since.
Day 4 - How long have you had a studyblr?
I think...four years? I’ve only been active for maybe 1.
Day 5 - Have you ever done a challenge before?
I have not!
Day 6 - Why did you decide to do this challenge and what is your goal?
to become more connected with the studyblr community.
Day 7 - What is your goal for your studyblr for the next few months?
try to use it as a way to reward and motivate myself :)
Day 8 - What is the best thing about studyblr in your opinion?
it allows me find find tips, advice, and resources that are optimized for my current situation
Day 9 - What is the worst thing about studyblr in your opinion?
it allows me to compare myself to people with beautiful notes and better lives...or so it seems through their pics haha
Day 10 - What is one thing you wished you could change about studyblr?
I wish there was more of an engineering network :(
Day 11 - What is something that you have learnt from studyblr?
organization! it motivates me to use my bujo and notion.
Day 12 - How much time do you spend on studyblr per day on average?
not much! I usually only check every few days
Day 13 - Do you have an ‘aesthetic’? If yes, what is it?
...I’m not that put together.

I finally accepted my place at law school and now, I just need to make it through the next few months of work. It should be a decently easy term and the good weather has me feeling ready for summer vacation already.

What to do when you feel overwhelmed:
We’ve all been there. Too many tasks, too little time. So much to do, yet yo have no motivation and no idea where to start.
Step 1: Songs
Find two songs that make you really happy, or that make you feel on top of the world. Can’t think of any? Here’s the link to a playlist on Spotify of songs for when you feel down
Step 2: Shower
Put your phone somewhere you can hear it and go and have a nice long shower and belt out those songs. And if you have some sort of coffee scrub or really nice smelling soap, get that out. It will wake you up and make you feel better.
Step 3: Pep-Talk
Stand there for like a minute and fake the attitude you want to feel. Tell yourself that you can do this and you can get through this. Tell yourself that you are going to work hard and try your absolute best. (I also like to tell myself to be like Hermione, or Elle Woods)
Step 4: Drink something
Go make yourself a drink. Water, chocolate milk, lemonade, a smoothie, juice. Anything.
Step 5: Down to Business
Okay you got this. Put that drink on a table and get out a piece of paper and write down everything you have to do, or everything that’s stressing you/ overwhelming you. Now write out what your week looks like, and it’s time to get to work.
Work out how much time you have for each task left, and allocate certain time slots to complete different tasks. So you might study for maths from 4-5pm on Monday etc. It makes it so much better to see everything on paper
Step 6: Finally
Sit down and complete at least one smallish task. It might be a paragraph of an essay or sending an email. Anything. I promise if you finish at least one thing and then give yourself a break, you will feel so much better.
Remember!!! We all have times that you have so much going on and all you want to do is curl up into a ball and cry and scream. But you can get through this. Remember why you’re trying. Prove to yourself that you can do it. ily all xoxo - tee

Hello!!!
Hi everyone! I’m Colby, and I live in Beautiful British Columbia, Canada! I’m 16, and my studyblr is @colbystudies. My personal account, @the-c-cat, is where I reblog stuff about mostly TV shows and movies.
I have only done, and likely will only do, one AP class; I got a 5 on the AP Lit exam this year. The only other AP my school offers is Calc, and I’m not sure yet whether or not I will do that. This year I am taking Français 12 (I’m in french immersion), Leadership 12, Peer Tutoring 11, and Pre-Calculus 12 in semester one, and History 12, Law 12, Leadership 12, Make-up Design 12, Sociology 12, and Gothic Literature 12.
After graduation, I plan on studying either English or Cultural Studies (maybe a minor or combined major) at my dream university.
For ec’s, I’m currently in the process of completing first aid and lifesaving courses on the way to becoming a lifeguard, and I start work at Starbucks tomorrow. I am super passionate about movies, TV, reading, and music, so please message me anytime about any of those things. Some of my favourites in those areas are Parks and Recreation, Mad Men, Arrested Development, Jane the Virgin, The Graduate, Singin’ In The Rain, What We Do In The Shadows, Heathers, Rocky Horror, all Wes Anderson movies, Stromae, Grimes, Du Blonde, Nancy Sinatra, music from the 60s, and Sarah Waters books.
I’m so excited to graduate and to be a part of this network, and I’d love to talk to anybody at any time! Also, I’m good at proofreading/editing essays, so I can do that if it would help you out!
