Someone called me pretty at work on my last shift yesterday. I have an au I never rlly think abt where William didn't fall of a cliff and was instead eaten by the creechurs of the woods

And a specific young shapeshifter goes "this kid is dead, he probably has a loving family, I know what he looks like and want a family" and just decides to take his place (this is inspired by some other game or story just like this but I can't remember what it is xd)

So instead of smoke and fire and ghost powers and stuff, he can just change shape similarly to Vyncent in a way

But the shape the shifter takes isn't perfect, so maybe the original Will had like, dark brown hair, the new Will has black hair

Maybe new Wills eyes are just a little too wide and empty, maybe he's a little too pale, but his parents are so desperate because he's been missing for weeks, so they accept it anyway

And any slip-up is dismissed as, "oh, he was missing in the woods for weeks alone! Who knows what he saw, of course he can't remember a few things"

But David sees through it (even if he's only just really suspicious of new Will) and that's the reason why him and Will don't get along instead

some of you take elias’ “you didn’t want this but you did choose this” speech too literally and not think of the context of the quote and who is saying it to who…elias is actively manipulating jon at this point of COURSE he would try to tell him he “technically chose it” why are we acting like the antagonist telling their victim that they chose their abusive situation is something the narrative 100% agrees with …. its not a source for the truth of the situation in the narrative like i've seen a lot of people use it

sometimes when characters say things theyre wrong!!!!!! especially when the character is actively grooming the other character for a certain purpose and is Notorious For Manipulation like lets think about context

yes a big theme in tma is choice but it more so proposes and explores questions about that theme in the narrative instead of giving us a specific set answer for those questions….you shouldn't take everything a character says as truth you should infer from the context of the character and the situation

tldr: elias telling jon he technically chose his situation doesnt mean thats true because theres this thing called informed consent + elias uses manipulation and emotional abuse tactics all the time

Ok keeping it in cv. Hmmm. Honestly? The Belmonts in general. I feel a lot the themes of inheritance n both the weapon and the burden it can be. (In b4 my Richter era)

Hmmm this is quite the question. First Samus Aran from Metroid bc. Well. She's Samus. Fuck you. Second i'd say Robo from Chrono Trigger bc he is an apocalypse survivor already, so he has experience (plus he's both though and would make good company). And third hmmm, i'd say a grass type pokemon, maybe a torterra. Why? Bc a creature that can clean the air around you and help you grow plants/food is always useful (if i had to pick specifics then hmm. PMD2 Grovyle. Again, apocalypse survivor, determined and experienced)

Hmmm. I'd say all the protags from Mystic Ark. Relatively obscure snes rpg with the most gorgeous character design from Akihiro Yamada (the illustrator for Dracula X👌) (if i have to pick one of them in specific i'd say Kamiwoo. Ogre mans :) )
