Comaetho, Tydeus' first child, Diomedes' older sister. She was born first, two years before her brother. Yet the divine twins did not bestowed her with the health all parents prayed for for their children.

She was sick frequently, spending most of her time inside next to her mother at the loom, waiting as she wove shrouts and their designs. Clothes for her and her baby brother. And even her future wedding gown. She sat and watched and learned and helped her mother and soon she got her very own loom that she could work along side her as they exchanged stories and news of the country and palace with each other and the women.

When she is six her father lifts her up and tugs her into a tight embrace, the way he always does, almost choking her. But she laughs as he puts her down again and pats her hair, telling her that he'll be back soon. He puts on his scary armor and leaves, with her grandfather and many of the men of her home.

She waits with her brother then, for news of their fathers return.

She waits, but he does not come back. Her mother leaves the loom then, she goes to Athens, pleading with the king to help them gain the bodies of the fallen men, to bury. Comaetho stays in Argos with her brother, until they're called to the funeral. She watches her brother take the oath to avenge their father with his shaking tiny hands.

They return to Argos then and she watches her mother turn to cold fury and prideful grief and her brother getting molded into something strange. She knows he and the other Epigoni will go to war and fight and die and she cant do much else than be there for her family and fullfil her role as daughter.

She tells herself that she just has to make it through another day. To have no expectations, no hopes, no desires that could be crushed. Recalling the burning smoke of the funeral pyres that left her sick for a week.

Her father died, she knows her brother will too. And it was only a matter because until Artemis shoot her with her arrows. Each time she got sick, recovering took longer.

She returns to the loom soon after the funeral, even though her mother doesnt. Her husbands shroud the last she ever wove.

And Comaetho begins to weave. To forget, to stay busy when her body wont let her do much else, to be useful. She starts weaving her first funeral shroud.

When she reaches the age where women would soon marry, Aegialeus courts her, heir to the throne of Argos. They did grew up together and she loves him, she thinks.

Her grandfather grands the marriage, and now the time of revenge for their fathers murder is coming closer. She doesnt know if they would return.

She gets pregnant then, when they begin the preparations for their campaign against Thebes. Her body grows weaker because of it. But she keeps weaving now. A funeral shroud for her grandfather because he is growing old and one for her mother, because she wont weave one herself. One for her brother, who will go to war and one for her husband who will join him. Her maids and slaves help her weave because she cant do it herself anymore though she wishes she could. Its all she does these days, when shes not bedridden. Weave, determined to provide her family these honors when its time for them to go, weave because that's what her mother did and she did as they heard the news of her fathers passing, weave because its all she can bring herself to do without letting the weight of death and sickness crush her down like a surging wave.

She weaves a shroud for the child growing in her body too. What hope can she allow herself for her little joy to survive, though she wishes she could offer Aegialeus an heir before he sets out. She prays to tho Hera and Artemis and Eileithyia and still she weaves the shroud.

And then one she shroud she weaves for herself. For her after childbirth, or at whatever time Artemis or Apollo would decide to shot black death upon her.

And yet, through some godly blessing she does make it through childbirth, as does her child. She is remains sicker than before, but life is another gift she is happy to bear.

The men march to Thebes once more, and she waits, nursing her child at her breast.

Her brother makes it home alive.

Her husband and grandfather do not.

What happened to her after the news? How long did Artemis hold back before she struck her down?

The shrouds unfinished in her room.

So... Pokémon has officially revealed the Top 300 quarter-finalists for the TCG illustration contest. I myself have participated, but unfortunately, did not make it. There were many awesome artworks!!

However... there has been a suspected case of an individual who entered with multiple identities (similar initials) through AI generated entries - V.K shows up in 6 entries. The weird and unnatural proportions, position, angle (look at vaporeon for instance) all give away indications of AI too.

The rules have clearly outlined multiple identities to lead to disqualification, yet the judges failed to take account into the suspicious number of similar styles appearing more than three times (surprassing the maximum number of 3 entries) with the initials.

"The rules in the contest affirmed that: submissions must be submitted by the Entrant. Any attempt, successful or otherwise, by any Entrant to obtain more than the permitted number of Submissions by using multiple and/or different identities, forms, registrations, addresses, or any other method will void all of that Entrant's Submissions and that Entrant may be disqualified at Sponsors' reasonable discretion."

This is very disappointing, Pokemon TCG. Not even just disappointing, this is very shameful and distasteful to artists who did not make it.

Edit: There also seems to be 2 more entries that are ai prompts but under a different name (pikachu sleeping with a background night landscape and another one sleeping on a tree root)

UPDATE: on Twitter pokemon tcg actually addressed the issue, has disqualified the person with multiple identities and will be selecting more entries from other artists!!
