Quick question — how old is IM!Mugs supposed to be? Cuz in my mind he's IM!Cup's twin (even tho they're really not), yet I vividly remember this point in The Labyrinth Arc™ where IM!Cup is reminiscing about their parents and through his memory we're shown he was at the youngest a toddler when IM!Mugs was born, maybe even a little older (my headcannon is that he was 5 years old, but to each their own)

A PLACE - Suzail (The Many Lies of Makaria Trapeiros; The Next Adventure)

Chant sauntered through the streets of Suzail, idly swinging her cane in one hand. This place wasn’t bad, as towns went. Very picturesque. Had that retirement-home sort of feel she associated with the rich and powerful, the ones who pretended to be out of the game but played it twice as hard as any young ambitious noble. It’s cute, really. Very quiet.

to be honest its incredibly irritating to me that mc sees "the future of humanity" through vlad's memories and is like "no...! how could this have happened!! i'm filled with despair..." like girl how ignorant ARE you? are you just blissfully unaware of all the fossil fuels we're burning and all the habitats we're destroying and all the water we're sucking up and all the weapons we're creating and all the chemicals we're pumping into the oceans and our atmosphere and how many entire species we have wiped off the face of the earth?

like yeah okay i get it the mc has to be a sweet kind hearted angel with a bleeding heart that feels the deepest despair and surprise over every negative occurrence but you cannot sit here and tell me that you, as a human being from the future, did not see that future coming. how naive can you be?!?!?!

I often think about the vast differences of formality between Finnish and Japanese. Like the two languages aren't even remotely similar as far as grammar goes, but they can sound pretty similar and they have a lot of false friend words. Outside of the languages, Finns and Japanese folks can find a good few similarities in shared values, I especially recall my Japanese teacher back in the day talking about how much she loved the fact that Finns aren't afraid of casual silence. They're very different countries, and the cultures overall are very different, but what I'm getting at here is that the two countries can find a surprising amount of common ground

so it's just kinda funny to me that in Japanese there's nigh endless nuance to politeness and familiarity and respect shown in how you address other people, and in Finnish you come across as weirdly formal and stilted if you refer to the person you're talking with as anything other than "you".
