Shiratorizawa being overlooked so often makes me so damn mad like I’m in 5 Haikyu servers and whenever they do popularity polls Shiratorizawa literally loses first round ALL THE DAMN TIME

Like they worked so hard to get where they are, Top 8 consistently, and being fr if they had a diff coach who let them embrace their individual play styles, let them work as a damn team i genuinely think they could beat some other of the top teams.

Shirabu is a very good player, but being fr he’s lowkey a hole in their defense. Unlike Hayato, he doesn’t have some extreme receiving skills to get him some ground over being short. Constantly throughout the Karasuno match, they’re scoring over his head.

Now I love Shirabu, I really do. But I love semi more (obviously).

Washijo is wasting SO MUCH TALENT with his damn “cannon” philosophy. Like bro, think abt it. If all of shiratorizawa used their talents to the fullest, wouldn’t it actually make them stronger?

I get sometimes that too much talent will overlap and sabotage each other, but focusing so many individual talents into one simple strength is kind of crazy. Like you literally invite some of the top players in your prefecture, then don’t even use them?

Demo Update + Possible Announcement

Made fantastic progress this week, but the scrollbar is still ugly. 😔Hazards of migrating to VSCode!

Before I get to the good stuff, I just want to say that this coding journey started for me in earnest mid-August of 2024 - although at the time I was mostly working in Ren'Py with some Twine shorts on the side - and it has been a fascinating one, especially after starting Garden of Bones.

I've recently learned a few of my IF-author preferences.

Such as the fact that adding tiny variables to recurring passages which only a few players if any will ever take the time of day to notice makes me deliriously happy for some reason.

Now, if you're still here, please listen seriously to Effie for a moment: I cannot overstate that this is my first ever IF demo, and I've known since the beginning that Garden of Bones will have some limitations because of this - yet hopefully it will exceed expectations in other ways. It's a WIP, and might change a lot with each update, but I'm going to do my best to entertain you along the way.

In the realm of progress, I've been working mostly on getting the rest of the demo coded... and speaking of the demo, it's probably going to include less of my outline than that poll from November suggested, but that does not mean it will be shorter! 45 minutes of playtime is not a short demo, at least from what I've seen. Rather, the story is in a perpetual state of expansion.

Just like the universe.

And I have moved my goalposts to accommodate for that expansion - you're getting a more involved prologue, for example, than I was visualizing when I published that poll!

I even have a hopeful release date in mind. Will keep you updated, and if all goes to plan, you might see an announcement sometime before the end of January...

It was a warm afternoon as you got your scuba gear on, preparing to dive in the depths of Fontaine on a mission to look for flowers for your beloved boyfriend, Lyney’s, magic show tonight. You latched in your helmet and dove below the surface, sighing in satisfaction at the cool water enveloping your body after having been sweating all day. The fish danced around you happily and the rays flapped their wings gracefully on their way to find places to float around.

You reached the seabed, swimming around and beginning to collect the flowers that your boyfriend had requested. You stop after a few seconds to listen to a sound you could not initially identify. Listening closely, you follow the sounds of what seem to be sniffles over a ridge of sand. Peeking over the edge, you see a little blue form with a diving helmet on, balled up with his head in the pit of his elbow.

“Freminet?” You swam up to the form, recognizing Lyney’s younger brother, a sad expression on the screen of your diving helmet. You begin to rub circles into his back as he sniffles, embarrassed to have been found crying alone. “What happened?” You offer him a warm smile, encouraging him to confide in you.

“*Sniff* I- I made a fool of myself in the Court of Fontaine today… I- *sniff* I fell and dropped a whole basket of peaches…” Taking pity on him, you ask him if he wants a hug, then you pull him into your arms and rub comforting circles on his back.

“Wanna go back up? I’ll walk you home.” The boy nods and you swim back up with him in your arms.

Arriving on the beach, you take off his diving helmet and reveal his red, puffy eyes. You internally coo at how cute he looks but remember that he is in a vulnerable state and mentioning what he looks like would likely not be appropriate at the moment. So, after cupping a comforting hand on his cheek, you take his hand and walk him home.

Arriving at the triplets’ door (I know they aren’t all related, but for simplicity’s sake…), you knock and wait for the light pads from inside to reach you. The door swings open to reveal Lyney in his pajamas with a surprised expression.

“Y-Y/n! And Freminet!” He blushes slightly at having noticed you before his own younger brother and at having been seen in pajamas by someone he has been trying to impress. You gently push Freminet in front of you, handing him over to Lyney who hugs him shortly, ruffles his hair, then passes him on to Lynette who takes his hand, nods at you thankfully, then takes him into the home. Lyney steps out onto the porch and closes the door behind him.

“Uh… Thanks for taking my brother home. He can disappear better than myself, sometimes…” He rubs the back of his neck, a little embarrassed at the situation. You had only declared each other officially boyfriends about a month prior, so the whole relationship thing was a new concept to the ‘suave’ Lyney the public knew. It pleasantly surprised you to discover that he was actually very easy to fluster, making for a very cute boyfriend to tease occasionally.

“Yeah, no problem. I found him on the seabed crying while I was looking for your flowers, so I comforted him and brought him here. Oh, here you go by the way.” You hand him the flowers he needed for his show while smiling warmly at him. The tips of his ears immediately reddened, both at his immediate thoughts of marriage and at what the offer of flowers looked like. He knew this was not a love confession or anything of the sort, but the current situation could have fooled an outside observer.

He stepped forward and threw his arms around you, sandwiching the flowers between the two of you. He buried his face in your neck in an attempt to hide his face exploding with heat.

“… I love you…” That was all he managed to say after a few moments. You laughed, placing a kiss on the top of his head.

“I love you too, but… Watch the flowers.” He pulled himself away from you immediately, realizing he was damaging his precious show flowers.

“AH! Sorry! Uhm… Did you wanna come inside for a bit?” He looked into your eyes with a shy smile on his face, his cheeks and ears still red from before.

“I’d love to.” You said, your eyes locked on his.

writing update and poll about how to post this bucktommy thing when and if i ever get done editing it (aka apparently making it longer while also deleting giant sections)

So, if you haven't heard me crying in word count, the current bucktommy fic i have continues to grow, currently it is 17k and I still have 7k left to get through first round edits, which the writing math is super fucked on this cuz as i edit and delete, the amount remaining doesn't ever seem to go down, like kinda want to cry here

anyhooo so this is all in bucks pov, hurt/comfort angst with some heavy dissociation on buck's part. The first 5k is pretty much buck & Eddie friendship h/c along with a bit of Hen and Bobby, the rest is all buck/tommy

so this is probably going to be in the ballpark of 18k to 20k for total word count, and regardless of whether it gets broken into two chapters or not, i will still post the entire thing at once, but i would like to know: Yay or nay on splitting it into chapters for ease of reading?

Yellowjackets/IWTV Fanfic

So, about a week ago I put out a poll about doing a weird IWTV fanfic that's basically set in the Yellowjackets verse... And now I'm doing it... YAY!! but I do just want to come on here to basically throw around some things I'm going to do :P So this is going to be where I update people and just basically talk about how I'm going to do this, what my schedule is going to look like, things I need opinions on. This is more so a motivation thing so IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, please please please comment and follow along. I lose motivation quickly, but this is something I'm pretty dedicated to. but either way THIS IS HAPPENING.

First things first. YES I have started working on it. Im not even close to finished with the first chapter because each chapter is going to be LONG. This is not going to be everything that happens in Yellowjackets happens in here, and not even close. Even as I started it... I will sometimes use direct quotes, but thats only if im stuck and cant figure out what im doing.

NEXT as I said this is not going to be yellowjackets word for word, but I will be using each episode as a starting point. scenes might mirror each other, and I will cut between scenes as they do in the show.

Some things that are automatically going to be different from Yellowjackets:

They will not be on a Sports team of any sorts. The one thing each character has in common, is that they all are passionate about one or more forms of art (ex: Louis: Photography - Lestat: Acting - Madeleine - Sewing and dress making and altering (not the right words sorry lol)) SO im having them go to an art school :P little bit of a long shot but not only is it just convinent for me because of all the art forms they like, but also I think it would be kind of cool for just normal (LMAO) IWTV kids who have never touched a sport in their lives to now have to like hunt and stuff... kind of Lord of the Flies with half of the kids being CHOIR KIDS core.

Theyre all gonna be in High school. i was like well im not aging them up cause what fun would that be, so lets just age them down and keep a whole bunch of that trauma and see what happens... and im not super far into the writing process but its working rn!!

Theyre crashing in the Alps. I have zero knowlege of the Alps whatso ever BUT i know i went over them when i flew to Italy so Im having them go to the Uffizi Galleries!!! and then BAM Alps. so get ready for some major inaccuratcies about that cause im gonna make them how they are in Yellowjackets... just in like Italy. Maybe I'll reasearch a bit more... dw about it its ok :D

As I said before each chapter is going to be LONG. so rn I have around 4ish scenes (ones not finished yet) and by the time I'm finished with those and edit it's going to be close to around 4,000 words I'm estimating... that's 4,000 words for not even a quarter of THE KIDS STORY LINE. on that topic, because each chapter is going to be so incredibly long, I've decided to split each chapter in about half. I was originally planning to do one chapter = one episode of yellowjackets but again it's going to be WAY too long, so kids' storyline, adult story line. I like that a lot too because a big pet peeve of mine is in stories where it keeps switching through times and then i get so lost and have to reread like 10 times to understand... LIKE PLEASE JUST SPLIT IT INTO A FEW CHAPTERS SO IM NOT CONFUSED

Last thing! Most of each character's backstory IS WORKED IN... so for example (A HUGE example) is for at least the first few chapters Armand will be called and referred to as Amadeo. Marius is his adoptive father who rescued him from some sex trafficking scandal or something and renamed him, before he eventually changes his name to Armand while out in the mountains. So, like obviously he's not going to get the name Armand from Santino, but you know... working in what I can :P

OK ACTUALLY LAST LAST THING: I don't know when this will come out... I have a deadline for myself and I'm certain I will get to it, HOWEVER I do not have access to the other Yellowjackets episodes, which is pretty crucial if I want to get into a schedule of posting each week regularly. As of right now I am hoping to get the first chapter out on October 3rd... Yellowjackets will be accessible to me AND then I'll be able to post a chapter on Halloween... Human name: Milo Mansfelid

Freshly out of the workshop, it's true to say that Milo is new to the world. Because of this, he's very unaware of his surrounding. He is a very approachable engine, loving to chat about random new topics he found interesting(The topic can literally be anything). He can go on and on forever and very unaware of how the others think of it. He have a very open and optimistic point of view and doesn't mind opening up a conversation with anyone, this causing some problem when the conversation is not appropriate for the current situation. oh boy he LOVES gossiping and talking behide someone's back. When his chattiness get one someone's nerve he isn't afraid to snap and taunt them back, causing him quite a joker reputation in the railway.

Note:

During his early years. Milo doesn't have a name, only a BR numbers. He got his name from when he ask his first driver what he was drinking, thus the name 'Milo' origin.

He've never visit the island of sodor, but would love to if they ever install electric polls

Love reserching and learning random knowleges.

Bulldog BR Class 55 'Deltic'

Human name : Bud Ballin Burton

Your usual grumpy engine. Losing many coworkers and friends from both roads and rails to scrap and accidents can be quite hard. The large diesel mostly keep to himself, not wanting to build up many relationship with the others. The few that he have close relation with are his crews and few vehicles and rolling stocks. The class 55 is the type to get easily annoyed and can be seen snapping at the others, this putting him in many problems with the others. But don't worry! He eventually tone down with the help of his close coworkers and Milo.

Note:

He used to be one of those ''I HATE STEAM ENGINE!!!" Diesels but quickly come to his senses years later.

His driver call him "bulldog" because when he snap at the other engines, his driver think of a dog barking.

When he did laugh he laugh LOUD

He was annoyed by Milo at first meet but eventually keep him around cause' he's fun

He went from "We all are going to get scrap anyway so why should I care" To "We don't last forever so lets make the most out of it"

Andor S1 Rewatch Commentary - Episode 1

hi pals, back again to be annoying. here's all the dumb shit i said while rewatching episode one of andor for our server rewatch. i really couldn't shut up

Okay, starting this recording, about two minutes early. There's literally no reason for me to wait until 8 o'clock, but it just feels right to train myself to do that

I thought I was going to have to watch this on Disney Plus and not the beautiful DVDs because there was a cat laying on me and I needed to get up to actually turn on the DVD. But he got up so yay

I'm sitting here watching with all the lights off. No other distractions. Just remembering the first time I watched this. Also had all the lights off, but there were major distractions. Which was annoying, but I was watching Star Wars at home on a Wednesday, the day before my birthday, so I really could not complain

I don't think I've ever realized when I've turned on the DVD that it has the, it still has the helmet thingy at the beginning. I just sort of thought that was only on Disney Plus. Maybe it's just this first episode. I don't know, honestly, if I've ever watched….this episode on these....I guess I have, just not very observant

I wonder if the music will change for season 2. I mean obviously it changed every episode, but I wonder if there will be a drastic change, I kinda doubt it. But you never know

It's just so fucking beautiful right off the bat, I will never get over it. I'm also never getting over seeing BBY 5 on the screen for the first time
