🥀 GARDEN of BONES

A New Interactive Fiction WIP!

Perfectionism has been getting in the way, especially as someone who struggles with a lack of focus and short term memory loss, so no aesthetic info cards yet but I can offer a short list of what you might expect from the in-progress demo:

CURRENT FEATURES

- a curse (may or may not be discovered) - bones (quite a lot of them) - fey-adjacent immortal folk - 2 M/F selectable romance options (one of them is very ill-advised) - some character customization - 20 minute playtime - decisions

PLANNED FEATURES

- finished romantic route - platonic route - more creepiness - riddles - revenge

I personally find platonic friendships to be equally as captivating and fulfilling as romantic affection (and also fully support your right to antagonism and arson if desired) so expect me to do my best to ensure that each route is as lovingly detailed as possible!

The Younger (M/F)

Weary of being disregarded and mocked for their aspirations, the Younger has their golden eyes set on not only their realm... but yours as well. Yet they need their disapproving sibling and crowned ruler out of the way, for good, and only a mortal can kill an immortal. Will you be their weapon? As you glance back at the spindly lantern-bearer, she tosses you a sharp-toothed grin, golden eyes limpid in the moonlight.

The Elder (M/F)

A banished ghost haunts a garden removed from the flow of time; they had not considered that their beloved twin would stab them in the back... and now they are doomed to rise and fall by your hand. How far will you take this lie? His hair is not black, but silver as the moon, and it makes those dark, arched brows all the more shocking.

Note: as these siblings are identical twins, both must be set together, so you will have the opportunity to play the game with immortal sisters or immortal brothers as your romantic options and potential allies. I have a plan and intent to release the demo soon, but wanted to give it a shout here early simply because I can! Thanks for your interest and I hope to craft a most distressing and positively delightful journey for you. Ask me anything!

No ID needed, just wanted to show you this friend I've met at the cafe! Had a very cute face, sadly I only have this photo.

I was worried for it's safety inside because while the baristas are all very chill, other patrons are a mixed bag when it comes to insects, especially wasps. So I took the little guy outside with me and it flew away after hanging out on my hand for a bit!

I'm glad they were removed safely! Definitely most people are not chill about wasps being indoors :)

Crowned the most powerful kin of the air but drawn to the arts of the earth; conflict between the undying siblings has shattered a kingdom...

Appearance: In the oldest tales of your ephemeral kin, the Elder is said to possess a mirror image of their younger twin...

What you know: The Elder's ancient and still-beating heart is doomed to be pierced by the dagger beneath your cloak, for mere mortals cannot sever a pact with the kin of the air...

Everything here is subject to change and I don't want to spoil certain in-game discoveries yet, so expect to learn more in subsequent updates and when the demo launches!

I gave eyebrows to one of my ocs after they got compared to Marylin Manson. That was ONCE and I'm still salty about it, I can't imagine 13 years of that. You're not being oversensitive at all.

As for Machete's name itself, I think it's beautiful and it suits him really well!
