Anguil, who I have not thought about for years and it’s a shame he’s basically impossible to interact with unless your troll is fleet or otherwise in space because I really like what his Deal is, aka, guy whose company explores planets and sells the rights to them.

Obviously the fleet demands he gives them first bid, which he does…on paper. In actuality he’ll give first stab to anyone who pays him more or else threatens him, or any other kind of bargain.

He’s not a good guy whatsoever but he does hold to what he promises, if you make sure to get a fully thought out deal from him. Unless you’re fleet, then he’ll just lie to you as much as he can get away with it unless he has a good enough reason not to.

Xiphin has had the biggest impact on me as an editor. They've taught me things like flow and timing and we barely speak, this is just me spam watching their edits cause they are so enjoyable to watch! And from what I know of them, they are a precious cinnamon roll who has a good taste in memes.

your fave editor??

I don’t think I can choose just one, since I have a favorite in each editing style. For raw, I personally really enjoy MentalFate, BioticAMVs and xlemonteafantasy. For mmv, i’d say xXNejiten4everXx, Malethicent and Avril (Avrils old style at least, I feel like their new stuff has been really basic). Fx faves are ohsnapitziggy, nemezis, ladykuro and xiphin probably? WbelieveW takes the cake for gmv editors, they are so iconic and for live action faves, AnneSoshi and yawwnpanda.

I drew a zalcoa version of @cloudbatcave’s / @cloudbattrolls‘s troll character Anguil Xiphin with her permission! I’ve posted both a shaded and non-shaded version to make it easier to see what colors go where for drawing purposes if she’s ever interested in doodling this design. (NOTE: Zalcoa DO WEAR CLOTHES unless they’re nudists for some reason or another. This is just for the sake of reference and not to infer that Anguil is a streaker. xux) He’s an aquatic (the gill slits are neatly tucked away behind his jawline!) from the same planet as Malkul Dagoon that presumably also escaped before it got eaten by a rip in the fabric of the universe. He's also likely to have the Longevity mutation, doubling his potential lifespan without medical intervention from ~120 Earth years to ~240 Earth years. Additionally, his markings are a striped collar, striped belly, striped haunch, solid dorsal stripe, striped plumes, striped side-stripe, solid eyeshadow (central), and striped mask! I haven’t gotten to make any zalcoa designs recently, so this was a fun way to stretch my Myriaverses muscles and get back into the groove of things. Hope you enjoy, Cloud!

Xiphin Reconnaissance notes:

(Aka the company Vimana works for)

They aren’t part of the fleet, but a lot of their business comes from them - they explore planets via remote drone and take days of the wildlife, climate, any valuable resources they find, etc.

Vimana is part of one the teams piloting the drones and watching the screens - at least two or three of them are observing at any given time, they sleep in shifts to make sure no data is missed.

Vimana, despite being a dipshit, is very good at focusing on the screens for long periods of time and catching small details in the video and audio feed, so that’s her job. If sees any inconsistencies or glitches, she reports them, and the people who do the actual data analysis will figure out what’s going on.

They’ve been at their current planet (which is beyond the current reaches of the empire) for a little over a sweep, and still have a lot of it to survey. They pass their time when not on the job with prank wars, eating contests, and theorizing about soap operas they watch. Occasionally they get attacked by aliens or are called off duty for some work related event, but they mostly hang out on Egret, their surly cerulean helm ship who gives them endless lip.
