Did a style test for something I'm working on (⌒_⌒;) Can you guys figure out what style I tried to do?

Ngl Frye looks super cursed (prob cuz he looks a decade younger) , but I'll def tweak some stuff once I figure out the fullbody designs

*There's IS a reason why they are younger than their canon ages, but I'll explain it in another post.

I think I like how Yelv is shaping up so far. Just have to adjust the proportions a little bit, so I might reference a different generation for it.

I'll talk more about this thing once I have developed some more worldbuilding and ideas to the plot I'm writing for it ^^ Can't wait to do more studies for the other characters!

Version 1 line up of the main trio in the AU. I'll probably make changes in the future, but I'm glad I put something down to kick start what they would look like ^^

I like Frye's outfit the most since it had some XCX inspo there as well. I honestly had no ideas for H.B. so I copied elements from the Gen 8 trainers lololol. For Yelv, I took various pictures of Pokemon breeders/ranchers as references.

A small tidbit of the AU:

Set in a new region called Miran (Not tied to any canon regions atm)

Everyone is aged down cuz I wanna fit the Pokemon universe a bit more, but also I can write funnier stuff

There is XCX creatures planned to be in the AU, but still figuring out the logistics and balance of pokemon design and XCX design philosophies

Tyrants are going to be a major thing in the AU and I am VERY excited to figure out that stuff

There's a plot I'm still writing out, where pokemon catching is illegal and being a pokemon trainer is more of a job to protect citizens from dangers outside of cities

Frye is a new pokemon trainer, Yelv is a ranch hand working at an illegal Pokemon farm, and H.B is a rich dude who got tied up in their mess

Yeap there's gonna be an evil team like in Pokemon games

Main character is Frye cuz I am biased

Ok so fair warning. I was not a Percy Jackson kid, so in preparation for this I went and tried to consume as much of the series as possible. I can now firmly say that I’m obsessed with the wider implications for this AU and how certain characters will be fitting into it.

However...due to LORE RESTRICTIONS...i cannot fully explore it yet...

So that’s a long winded way to say I’ll definitely be revisiting when more lore allows me to make more interesting pieces .
