Hi Infinite!! I was curious, because of the wings and waves campaign, would you consider adding a shark or whale to the roster? I would love to see what you come up with

Thanks for the suggestion Anon. I already have a lot of designs on my plate and I'm not looking to add more. But I do have many guest artists that will be making pins for the campaign, and I believe at least one of them has a shark design planned :))

If I feel up to taking on more designs, I'll keep your suggestions in mind.

Aelora Targaryen Headcanons - Part 1

Note: No pairing for these headcanons these are just for the female original character, Aelora Targaryen. These headcanons will have more than one part, too. If you want to message me to brainstorm oc headcanons feel free to do so.

Headcanon One

The image above is the coat of arms for House Raengyreon. The crest they display on their sails. Depicting a wyvern in red with yellow eyes and white claws. On a black background in the shape of a shield. The two legs of the wyvern poised, posed aggressively.

Always confused with the Targaryen hydra counterpart, despite never looking alike other than the use of the similar colours. The only difference is the added yellow and white to a small degree.

Headcanon Two

Aelora loves seafood, she loved ever since she was young. Mainly because of her love of the ocean and the creatures lurking beneath its depths. She loves sharks, every type of shark to the most passive to the extremely aggressive.

Much like she had no bias in her love for dragons. She has no bias when it comes to sharks. She has many favourite subspecies of sharks.

Just as she would have favourites of any species related to the ocean. The only difference, the more aggressive the type of shark was. The more she loved it.

Her favourite sharks are the Megalodon, the whale shark, and the Bull Shark.

Headcanon Three

Aelora had always found the smell, taste and the look of raw red meat. It always makes her feel ill to her stomach. She can't enjoy eating red meat without picturing what the animal looked like when it was alive. Not only that, but its smell when its cook also causes her gag reflex to trigger like crazy.

She refused to eat any red meat.

No one will ever know the real reason for this cause.

Headcanon Five

Aelora takes care of albino animals regardless of species because she feels kinship to them because they look more like her. Then her own relatives that have silver-blonde hair with lavender/ violet eyes.

Perhaps this was her way to cope with her own differing look between them and herself. Few could ever get a straight answer for why that this was the case.

Even fewer would be able to get a straight answer from her directly. As she would either brush them off or change the subject on them. Preventing them from digging any further than she was ever comfortable with.

Paranoid that the maesters under the employ of the House of Hightower would twist it into something foul in their historical accounts of her own life.

Random oc things no one asked for:

•Cweepy's ink being colorful is a rare genetic mutation, its supposed to be black lol- Cweepy's also a part of the small wrist gang and her hands easily slip out of things

•Cho-Hee still sometimes has nightmares about the dog attack and will be noticeably nervous around dog/wolf-like characters (YES IK WOLVES AND DOGS ARE DIFFERENT but they're similar in some aspects). I also originally wrote him to be more violent and vengeful, but I decided I didnt like that version too well and just made him more soft and squish

•Dallas would rather die than share his more personal interests, which include dressing in women's clothes. In fact, if you look close enough, you'll see him scratch at his uniform and seem to be almost in discomfort

•Salvatore has issues with leaving Vin by himself due to ✨abuse✨

•Vinny is also scared of the dark due to said ✨abuse✨ they both had a shitty home life tbh-

•Momo subconsciously hums to herself while doing things, he also sleeps with a whale shark plushie in their room (they're her favorite animal!)

•Dell has the ability to "possess" android/robot students if they're strong enough, but they don't know that yet (and even if they did, they IN CANON wouldn't). Dell also has notes made of every student they've ever interacted with, every word they've ever said to them and every interest they have

•Faust's dragon form is actually more similar to a wyvern, but I just say dragon bcs its easier lol- He also has a big sweet tooth

•Hextian showers every day so the strong stench doesnt bother other students, if he skipped a day, everyone would definitely notice. You'll sometimes hear him talk about how "The filth follows him" and how he cant help it/its not his fault, but he'll never really provide context for it

•Despite Benibara's grudge with beast-people, complete animals are fine, in fact, she prefers them.

•Kenzo is a fake name, no one knows his real one. He also made his mechanical parts himself!

•Venus used to be chubby as a kid, she's also far sighted

•As much as Marinus would fist-fight his mom, he wouldn't do it to his dad bcs he knows he's gonna be turned past-tense if he did. Marinus is capable of holding a human shape by himself, but prefers potions since they can make it last longer

•Kumo can also purr, meow, trill and chirp (Amos and Kendall can too). Kumo has canonically fought against Marinus, stood a fighting chance, but the fight was stopped by staff

•Some of Aotome's features include things like being able to use her eyes as projectors, turning her arms into weapons, a removable face and head (do you really want to know whats under there?), among other things. Despite her cold nature, she also has a soft spot for children and animals and wouldnt ever lift a hand at them

•Banji will absolutely bite you if you touch his tail.

•Kamïk's girlfriend goes to RSA (Her name is Yoliztli)! They occasionally sneak to each other's schools to visit each other!

•Clover holding her tail when she's scared/sad has been with her ever since childhood, she still does it to this day! Clover also likes people brushing her tail and scratching her ears but would only ever trust Avery and Jolie with it

•Avery doesnt like reading because she prefers to write her own books. Sometimes she might write a character based on students she enjoys

•Jolie sometimes bullies/teases Clover for not being able to handle horror media despite having canonically beat people's asses before. Jolie being an ass is 50/50 depending on if Avery or Clover is present

•Roan doesnt currently remember how they got to twist, but anytime they try to their head and hands start to hurt. Roan also hates his birthday since he got the "This is for Christmas AND your birthday! :D" treatment

•The Accident™️ that traumatized Pepper was genuinely not their fault, but they refuse to believe it. They spend a good chunk of the time in their dorm room unless its absolutely essential to go in-person

•Wolfo taught himself how to cook since he was young bcs no one else would. He prefers people dont do things for him because he feels like he has to return the favor

•Creek's first doll came from Wolfo! He got it for her on one of her earliest birthdays! She's also on the very skinny side but usually wears long sleeves to cover it up (she's lowkey a big fan of wearing frilly stuff though!)

•Coffee, tea or warm drinks in general make Poppet sleepy- Poppet's also a late bloomer! Thats why their horns are very tiny compared to their siblings (Wolfo and Creek)

•Amos' parents are the type to lie to him for his money (they left when he was around 7-8 years old). He looks NOTHING like his parents so his mom would regularly dye his hair to convince his dad to stay, HOWEVER, his hair had a negative reaction to it (His hair is much better now though!).

•Despite Enid looking intimidating so some, she also has a soft spot for kids, animals and shy students, she's basically like a mom friend and always comes prepared with snacks and other things in her bag. She'd also 100% fall for a squeaky toy/ball/frisbee (the Festus twins would too)

•Lorien will sometimes make their own clothes if they see clothes they'd like but are WAY too big to fit them. He's also extremely terrified of cats (including cat people/cat-beast people)

•Jessica has body issues which is why she pays attention to other people's physical appearance the most. She's also the type that considers "traditionally feminine things" (dresses, makeup, jewelery, etc) to be something thats weak

•It is very difficult to make Oceana mad, purely because she can't hold a grudge for more than a day (forgets all about what happened by tomorrow, unless its something more serious). She's also accidently broken countless things due to her giant size, so preferebly DONT trust her with sentimental items that are fragile

•Yoliztli and Kamïk are freaking giants together- but she's still just a smidge shorter than him. Out of both of them, SHE mostly buys things for them

•Jaiden was once shamed of his fear of the dark by someone so bad he just burst into tears at that very minute. He's also allergic to polyester and wears cotton clothes

•Mindel doesnt trust anyone else to make his coffee since he likes it in a very specific way, he doesn't even trust Jaiden with it. He also has asthma

•Frey mostly prefers to plant plants that produce fruits/vegetables over flowers (they still enjoy them though!) Frey also has 23 plants total, all with their own names!

•Sylvester's more chill about his snek form and doesn't really care what others think. He takes a lot of inspo from his older cousin! His cousins designs are upcoming, but they're based on Arbok and Ekans! (Although it'd take a lot of convincing for Arbok OC cousin to join HSA since he's a dropout looking after his MUCH younger brother (Ekans OC))

•Mao is sometimes so quiet they unintentionally sneak up on other students. Mao would be terrified of Santa if its not properly explained-

•Cherokee does have more destructive magic within them, but prefers to not use it since he hates hurting people, also cause he just likes magicians lol

•Shiloh's parents are divorced, he lives with his dad and his girlfriend (dad's girlfriend doesnt like him though and considers him "weird" and even threatened to get rid of some of his stuff). Both of them get very annoyed/mad when Shiloh happens to bring animal friends to their house.

•Midge got shamed out of his monster form since he was bullied in school for it and even his parents think its hideous (neither parents are monsters... I think that says enough-)

•Kendall absolutely loves attention and praise! Also, just cause they prefer to work on cute projects, doesnt mean he cant do others too! Its just preference-

•"Speckles" loves to knot things for people she enjoys! Her ears and tail are also very sensitive, she prefers you not touch them (unless she really trusts you!)

What are all the sea monsters in mythika?

Not counting the lake monsters like Ahuizotl and Abaia ect. I only name the SEA monsters, not the aquatic or lake monsters.

Bakunawa - A variant of the Abaia in my project, but more based on the gulper eel, not big enough to swallow a moon of course, but still pretty big enough to swallow an entire sloop. They are deep sea Abaia.

Akheilos - The monstrous white shark-sized horror shark.

Isonade - The demonic Thresher Shark.

Akhlut - In it's aquatic form only, the Akhlut in my project can transform into forms that fit the environment, it can grow wings to fly and become half wolf/orca to adopt to aquatic life.

Globster - An aquatic ooze

Berberoka - Also living in swamps and rivers, there is a bigger Sargassum variant that lives in the ocean, Berberoka in my project are plants, kelp monsters.

Boobrie - While mostly living near swamps and rivers, they also live on beaches and in the ocean, these are giant monstrous Hesperornis.

Caleuche - The ghost ship

Caspilly - The monstrous lion-fish.

Echeneis - The speed-sapping Remora fish that can stop the biggest of ships to feed on it's speed.

Haietlik and Ikuchi - My favorite Sea Serpents.

Siren - A harpy variant with a beautiful voice and face, but nasty temper, they have beautiful blue feathers and mostly feed/torture sailors and other sea-going folk.

Heikegani, Karkinos and Saratan are my crabs, they mostly are coastal/beach going encounters, but some attack you from the sea.

Umibozu - Undead black-water elementals, the sea variant of the lake-going Hinqumemen.

Charybdis - The giant whirlpool creating toe-biter horror.

Longgui - Another name for the Dragon Turtle

Lusca, Kraken, Rogo-Tumu-Here and Iku-Turso - All my octopus monsters, spare for Migas which lives in swamps and trees.

Marool - the Demonic Angler Fish.

Merrow, Adaro, Zitiron, Yawkyawk, Siyokoy and Scylla, all my aquatic merfolk horrors.

Morgawr - A Elasmosaurus-like horror that also lives in lakes, but also in the sea.

Nakshatra Meenu and Stella the starfish horrors mostly live on the beach, but can attack you from the sea as well.

Nereid - The water nymphs live in any water.

Con Rit - The parasitic giant water centipede/Ragworm.

Qalupalik - The sea hag.

Naujakuksualuk - The giant sea roc based on the seagull.

Sazae-Oni - The monstrous or demonic sea slug.

Sermilik - The ice-controlling polar bear is sometimes found in the cold seas swimming around using it's ice-creating abilities to form ice-platforms when it needs to rest.

Shen - The illusion-creating clam monster that lures sailors into it's giant clam-maw.

Selkie- Both the gentle seal-variant, the powerful Walrus variant and the evil Leopardseal variant live in the cold seas.

Ahkiyyini - These skeletons use their music to control the waves and turn the most gentle water into a raging ocean within seconds.

Shellycoat - These aquatic trolls can be found in and near any form of water.

Trolual, Raudkembingur and Bakekujira - My three whale horrors, Raudkembingur is a demonic variant of the Trolual and the Bakekujira is an undead Trolual whale.

Vatnsandi - The gaint manta ray horror.

Tizheruk - The ice wyvern variant can be found in the ice cold ocean.

Ziphius - These half fish and half dophin horrrors use their extremely sharp beak and dorsal fins to slice through boats like a knife through butter.

Topielec - These sea zombies are found in any form of water, oceanic Topielec are mostly undead sailors, pirates or other.

I’m not sure if I recommend using this with the Table of Races from a previous post (https://randomencounters.tumblr.com/post/631073167702687744/okay-fine-a-d100-table-of-races). I was trying this table out and, sure, a Drow Were-Styracosaur, a Succubus that turns into a Hyena when the moon is full, sure, but I’m not sure even I could handle a Mi-Go Were-Baleen-Whale.

In Idera, where Rhys and Aerith are from, Wyverns have very snakelike, lanky appearances. They’re excellent fliers with large wingspans, on average the ratio of their wings to their bodies is even larger than that of dragons. Dragon grow to much larger sizes, where as wyverns typically reach full size within 10-15 years of life. Though their lifespans are also shorter than dragons, wyverns still can be lifelong companions, and can live close to 200 years. They are also excellent swimmers, and many wyverns are known to be found in sea caves or living near large bodies of water, so that they can hunt small whales, porpoises, seals and sharks.

Rhys raised Mirai from an egg, and they have grown up together. Rhys was about 10 when they found Mirai, and she is fiercely protective of them. Her scales are iridescent, and while they look black in dim light, her scales shift with all sorts of colors especially in sunlight. She likes to fly along the coastline with Rhys, and take in the spray of the ocean.

Second Head break will decrease damage of ice torpedoes. Broken Back decreases amount of ice missiles fired in its wide range attacks)   Though normally an ocean-dwelling species, Hvalstrom have been found wandering a wide variety of locales. They can appear wherever the land meets the sea, though they tend to wander inland. Despite coming from a realm of water, their thick blubber allows them to survive in harsh conditions, be it in arctic or arid environments. It is quite obvious when a Hvalstrom arrives in a locale, as they are incredibly loud and incredibly territorial. Hvalstrom are quick to anger and will target any large monster that is in their vicinity. Their hulking mass and dense blubber provides hefty protection as well as crushing bulk. The hides of these beasts are covered in scars from previous battles but these injuries don't seem to slow them down. When engaged in battle, Hvalstrom use their bulk to bludgeon foes. Their massive head is wielded like a hammer or club, smashing foes into the ground or sending them flying with a powerful swing. Their thick tail can be used in a similar fashion, making them just as dangerous from behind. While they have physical prowess for close quarters combat, Hvalstrom can be deadly from afar. Organs along their snout and back secrete a freezing compound to turn the water they intake into ice. This ice is shaped into frozen javelins and are loaded into specialized orifices. Using a combination of muscle and water pressure, the Hvalstrom can fire these icy missiles from its snout or back. The frontal shards are often used to target specific monsters or hunters, while their dorsal weaponry is used for taking down flying foes and raining destruction across the whole area. Hvalstrom are quite accurate with their shots, and they are quick to restock on these missiles in case an enemy still stands. If their crushing power and frozen weaponry wasn't enough, hunters will face a new weapon if they enrage one of these titans. Hvalstrom use sound to for communication and sensing, but this ability can become a weapon if they are driven to fury. Cranking up the volume of their calls and bellows, the Hvalstrom will begin to unleash powerful blasts of sound. Their head is the primary source of this power, but their legs and body are covered with these acoustic organs. The ones on their body are mainly used to blow away close quarter enemies or give their attacks extra range. The sonic bombardment from their snout can be used as a long range weapon to knock out bows or gunners, and it can be used to give their head smashes a tremor effect to trip up physical fighters. These blasts of noise have an increased chance of stunning those caught in its path, making them easy targets for an icy torpedo attack.   Despite their size, Hvalstrom feed only on small fish and cephalopods, like Pink Parexus and Sushifish. They use their sonic abilities to detect prey in the waters, then unleash a bombardment of sound to stun them. This same detection method is what they use to survey their surroundings and target foes. Hunters who seek to hide from these beasts will find the task difficult, as their senses can pierce through smokebombs and Sporepuffs.   Through the efforts of many hunters and scholars, it has been found that all Hvalstrom that terrorize the lands are male. Further research has discovered that they are normally a social species that live in large pods. These family groups are only found in their oceanic home, and this is where the females and young of the species reside. It is believed that the nomadic Hvalstrom are adult males that leave their pods when the breeding season ends. Perhaps they are chased out by rival males, driven out by protective mothers, or maybe it is a natural occurrence. Regardless, these males will then wander about, taking to the land and sea. A part of their aggression may come from the separation and lack of socialization these exiled Hvalstrom face, and they take this anger out on any beast or hunter that gets in their way.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kind of surprised it took me this long to make something like this. I had never played a Monster Hunter game before, but playing Monster Hunter World made me an instant fan of the series. Someone who loves big beasts with extensive biology and backstory loving Monster Hunter, who would have thought! But seriously I love this game and I can't wait to play the next one which can only be found on a system I don't have. Well crap... That aside, I knew it was inevitable that I would make a fan monster for these games, but it turned out to not be an easy process. The series already has a ton of beasts, and it can feel like everything has been done before. I didn't want my creature to be just another flying lizard or fancy looking dragon, so I immediately went after the neglected classes of the series. At one point I think I made it my mission to make a Piscine Wyvern, a class whose only few members are mostly palette swaps of two fish and is also the one class I think everyone hates. So I decided I would make a cool Piscine Wyvern! Did I succeed? Only you can tell!   (I imagine some people may be asking: "How is a whale a piscine wyvern? It isn't a fish!"  I don't know, ask the Amphibian class whose one of only two original members is a freaking shark.)     So here we have Sperm Whale + Submarine = Invader Monster that hates everything. I was mainly inspired by the awesome Bazelgeuse, who is an organic Bomber Plane, so I wanted to see if I could make any other biological war machines. It is a monster for on the land and on the sea!
