Today was my last Zoom lecture with my Urban Hiking students and we are winding down the course with their last two assignments due in the next 10 days. . I was grading some assignments today and pulled this quote from one guy in my class that made me so happy. . I miss teaching this class face to face so much and look forward to doing do in the fall after three semesters teaching it virtually. . Although it feels at times like a structured independent study instead of a class, I’m thrilled the students are still getting out from the class what I hoped for them! . Holy sh*t! New lowest weight ever! Late April and early May I fell off the @we wagon slightly, but I’ve been staying on plan through the past two weeks and was rewarded with this! . My fitness game has been really strong these past few weeks too, I think I’m going to raise my #wwfitpoints goal to 115-120! . I feel like it took forever to get to the 24 range (aka “ideal”) BMI wise, so it’s crazy to think 23 is just around the corner! . Bodypump 110 is no joke! The new release launched at my gyms this week and I taught it 3 times in a row! . Confession I was nervous to teach it on Thursday I didn’t feel prepared after 10 days without doing Pump or reviewing choreo due to the end of work madness and vacation. In the last 2 weeks I’ve taught BODYPUMP 8 times (including this morning and the 3 straight days before it). Lots of areas schools has the last week off so I think instructors with kids took the week off too. My friend R needed a last minute sub this morning so two Saturdays in a row I taught Pump and then my Urban Hiking class. However today was the last class of the semester, so hopefully my Saturdays will be a bit calmer! I was nervous to get on the scale this morning after 9 days in California. I tracked for a few days, but due to all the eating out/on the go I didn’t keep up with tracking. . I knew I’d be over on points each day and I was okay with that. I also knew I was going to be active this whole trip (see last post for my stats), but I wasn’t sure how eating so out of the norm for me was going to show up on the scale. . I mentally prepared myself for a hefty gain and was floored to see I was only up 0.6 lbs. Still in the healthy BMI range and my goal to end the month firmly in the 160s is well within reach and then some! . I still feel a bit heavier, my clothes feel a little more snug, so I’m sticking to my 7 blue dot day plan for this week to reset. .

2020 workout calendar is complete! . I’ve been tracking workouts like this (although it’s evolved over the years) since 2014ish. Seeing how many days I’ve workout out in a month or how many days off I’ve taken has also motivated me. . No surprise this year has been my biggest number of workout which is largely made up of walking. For me a walked needed to be least 30 minutes for me to count as a workout since I did tons of little daily dog walks. . 292/366 workout days . 168/292 workout days were made up of walking which ranged from 30 min to 2 hours across the year. Walking has been an core activity since I stepped back from running in 2016, but this was a new level of mileage. I have explored so many of the FANTASTIC paths in my town. So very thankful for all the trails and paths in NoVA/NWDC. . I taught 59 individual classes, most of which were in January and February. . I also used this space to log my @ww blue dot dates which are the days I tracked and stayed in my healthy point range. 186 days of blue dots, in comparing my monthly tally to my weight loss there is no real trend I can see. I would wager it’s the days I didn’t track at all vs the days I went over my blue dot points. So perhaps that is something I will pay more attention to this year. . I truly love having data to look back on. This is where “Measuring Life” came from in January 2010.
