I went to the Haunting of Night Vale show last night and it was amazing!!

Fantastic performance, amazing energy, hilarious comedy, thrilling story!

And their outfits were amazing! (Excuse the grainy pics, I wanted to focus on the show since it was so good!)

And the opener/weather Danny Schmidt was very nice! Played some creative songs!

I don’t know how long I spent but I *adore* Tamika and her origin as a strong, bad ass girl who refused to let the librarians destroy her and her friends. Thank you Night Vale writers for making such amazing, strong woman characters (Laura excluded ofc)

It's so weird because during the Council woman Tamika Flynn arc, I kept picturing a 12 year old right there. Like obviously I knew she was growing but listening to this podcast from the beginning will do this to you 😭

"What do you mean Janice is studying for college??? Wasn't she a middle schooler???"

"What do you mean Tamika is an adult and not a kid anymore???"

It's just very... I know this, but I keep forgetting because the period during which I wasn't listening to WTNV, I had this set image of the characters, and while even then they had already grown a bit, it wasn't so dramatic that it felt wrong, but now? It's a trip sometimes.

I have no idea for how long will WTNV continue running but I swear I'm going to scream if one day we see highschooler Esteban or something like that.

I'm sure this was talked to death back in the early days of the fandom back when both were big, but do we think Bill Cipher would love or hate the citizens of Night Vale? Like it's such a weird place already that Weirdmageddon wouldn't be that far from a particularly interesting week, and if it's not enough he could always go to whatever new Desert Bluffs Kevin set up in the desert otherworld (idk if that's still a thing, I'm so behind on wtnv again). Though he may find himself in a turf war with the Smiling God in that case and I'm seriously not sure who'd win. But like, if Bill was capable of chilling out a bit and going for lower-grade weirdness and slightly less sadism, Night Vale would probably tolerate him pretty easily. (Unless he messed with the resident scientist of course.)

(Edit: i wrote this in a way that it sounds like i think they never communicate, that wasn't what i meant. I was talking about Carlos not telling Cecil about his past, especially the ten year DOW situation. Sorry for confusion, they have a healthy realtionship and i know it)
