Hi y'all. I f you remember a couple months back (you probably don't. why would you?) I mentioned that when I finished my prog rock research paper for school, I would post it to the essay account. Well, it didn't come out exactly the way I wanted it to, so I think I might just try and link the papers I used instead, and perhaps... I don't know, post excerpts of the paper that I particularly liked? As for any other essays, I'm actually wrapped up in quite a bit of fiction writing right now... Well, okay, fan-fiction. I just finished Union Among Us (which is titled Union Disaster Logs on Ao3, and posted under my co-writer's acc), and now I'm writing another really long crossover prog fanfic. The premise is basically like. What if a bunch of prog bands in the 70s tried to make a Dune movie, and it's the worst movie ever made? It's a lot of fun, but very distracting from any essay-writing I could be doing lmao. So, we'll see about essays. I still have the account; I'm just going to be busy. FINALLY, I'm thinking of doing a summer interactive fanfic again, like Mig (who was my first co-writer/bestie that left tumblr) and I did last year with the PRSC. Not sure what the premise of that would be, but it's rolling around in my head, and I intend to actually... yknow... finish it this time!!! I'm thinking of something between Rocklemania and the PRSC. Maybe Prog Rock Clue, or something like that. I don't know yet; I just like the concept of doing an interactive fanfic again.

So, yeah! Also, plsplspls join my discord server (no pressure ofc!) It's been very quiet lately lmao (mostly due to me being busy af). And, yeah! That's about all :)

Reema is the cousin of @mohamedabushaban06 (source). A few days ago, I made an emergency promotion to get Mohammed registered for college abroad here (It's not urgent anymore but he can still use support).

She's a 4th (out of 5) year pharmaceutical student currently studying abroad in Egypt after her school in Gaza was destroyed. Pharmacy school is difficult but she has a high average.

She just fundraised enough to pay her tuition for all her remaining schooling (see fund allocation section) and will start her semester on Sep 21, 2024.

The campaign goal was raised to $25,000 and the additional $5,000 will go towards academic needs and Reema's family back in Palestine.

She needs a new laptop after losing her old one.

Fund allocation:

All the original $20k is for paying off all of Reema's remaining schooling. There was a rush to get her from $15k to $20k to pay off her current semester due to banking complications. Her campaign manager was not in Canada until very recently and could not access the funds already in the campaign.

Even now, the manager can only send $1,500 at a time. At the time of writing this (Sep 22), I'm not sure when Reena can access the $15k and she isn't online often because she has the flu.

Okay, I’m going to do it. I have been holding back and just telling my closest fandom friends my crazy theory, but what the hell. Most of you think I’m batshit anyway.

Here we go.....

What if we have been on the receiving end of a long played out psyop and Louise has been a way to make the public want Milex?

Okay, hear me out...

It’s 2017/8 Alex has abandoned Miles after EYCTE. He has gone to France to write and record TBHC, having realised their little TLSP bubble could never last (see Star Treatment). Without Alex, Miles is a little lost and lonely in LA. His reputation is also at rock bottom after the journalist incident. Miles decides he wants to move back to England, and Alex decides he wants to move back to, as we know they can never be more than a few minutes away from each other

Taylor either wouldn’t or couldn’t leave LA, so she and Alex break up. But they need a new girlfriend to keep up the straight image (especially with the new badly-received album and a world tour about to begin). On the original version of OPP as seen on the AM in Mexico video, over the turtle segment Alex sings ‘One More Year I’ll Call It Quits’ maybe the plan was to give it all up,but he had signed a contract to do another album and tour after TBHC, and with Miles’ reputation so bad, if they were together then they would both be cancelled.

So a European girlfriend is found and this is where the subterfuge begins. We start with old Instagram posts with tags like #alexturnerwillyoumarryme, then we get professionally shot videos of her backstage at AM’s concert (all the time Alex is ‘still with’ Taylor) so as soon as they launch, the first image of Louise the public get is a negative one, as a fangirl who has set out to get Alex, not caring if he cheats in his current girlfriend.

Before I list the reasons why I think she is fake, can I say this idea he has stayed with her as punishment for cheating on Taylor is absolutely ridiculous. Men who are serial cheats aren’t known for wearing hairshirts. Especially when you’re a handsome, wealthy rock star who could easily get another girlfriend.

So, the idea is, Louise is the most unpleasant person who makes Alex miserable, and if most people are honest, they want Alex to be happy..

So, let’s look at the evidence..(where there is a * it means there is a Miles counterside)

Louise doesn’t work. She claims to be a feminist, but her job seems to be being Alex’s girlfriend.

She openly copies selfies posed by previous girlfriends, making her look like she has no personality of her own

She boasts in her IG posts ie the ‘we just fucked’ pic and the panties on the piano.

She claims to be a musician but we rarely see her writing or recording anythjng.*

She writes embarrassing things about itAlex on social media (beautiful dick).*

Openly takes a neutral stance on Palestine.

Claims to wear vintage clothes but they rarely are*

When Alex was ill after the third London show, it is publicised that he leaves the Emirates with his parents, no sign of Louise. She’s too busy taking pics in the hotel with Matt and Amanda

Meanwhile Miles has worked hard on his public image. He has shown he is a hard worker. He rarely mentions Alex on social media and when asked about him in interviews, whilst admitting they are good friends, is insistent they are not working together. Which is good because he has always been accused of riding on Alex’s fame.

He frequently gives updates when he his writing and recording, treating us to little snippets, something Louise never does.

Is it a coincidence that holiday gate is the same as the week One Man Band’s release. Alex looking miserable with Louise Vs Miles being charming and hard working.

Not long after Louise starts going on about her fake vintage, Miles posts a whole real of him going proper vintage shopping so he looks authentic.

Even in Dublin there is no duet with Alex. Miles not using Alex’s,fame,but also those who monitor social media can see how hungry they are for Milex interaction.

The river Mersey comment – another way of guaging public opinion. Finally the legion of doom 😍😍 comment on the NY recent. The fandom went crazy at Milex acknowledgement.

Alex....

His face..Alex is a pro. He has had twenty years of faking smiles after arguments with the other Monkeys, girlfriends, even Miles. He could fake a smile with Louise if we wanted to when they call their friends at Backgrid to take pap pictures. But instead he chooses to look like someone either on the verge of tears or else being held hostage. And in the latest set of pics, Louise looks the same.

The Taylor tattoo....it looks like he thinks so little of her he has kept that tattoo.

‘I don’t wanna be hers, I wanna be yours’ quite often at gigs where Louise is in attendance.

Not one song on the car written about her.

And now of course with the tour over, a lot of people return to watching TLSP videos. Happy, muscly, healthy looking Alex having fun with Miles as opposed to skinny, miserable Alex trapped with Louise.

Apart from Louise’s most ardent fans, most people want to see him away from her and would be overjoyed at a TLSP reunion, and for us Milexers, a declaration of their love.

So, has this been a long game? A way of making the people think they want Milex? I told you it was crazy, but just remember the world of public relations is completely underhand and insane.

so.............it's been a while. finally going to get back to my #priswritesmordlust tag like i said i would a million years ago. my summer break is coming up, so hopefully i'll be able to get a decent amount of writing done then (lie). i also reached another follower milestone so mayhaps a celebration/giveaway 🤭

finally hit 64k on my draft (69,420 i'm coming for you) and ig that means i've finished writing a little over 70% of it if i'm able to stick to my projected wordcount

took out the intermission side stories but added in more 2nd person pov dream sequences

Rolling out the Red Carpet for the Cinema branch!!

Hello,hi, it's me that one person who makes the funny videos and thinks she can draw(she cannot) Inspiration hit me in the middle of my film studies course while watching Vertigo by Alfred Hitchcock and I thought "what if I made my own LCB branch where every sinner is based on a movie I've watched in my film class (and just general classic Hollywood cinema) and so I did it! The branch is currently VERY unfinished,as I add a new sinner each week for every film we watch in the class,so lemme introduce you to the guys that I've at least doodled so far(awful art incoming lol)

First up,we need a manager,or should I say,director(get it, because it's based on movies?) anyway here's Dorothy! If it wasn't obvious, she's based on the Wizard of Oz,She may or may not have come from the Outskirts and now she's running around with these sinners,and her little dog too! Oh and her red slippers(boots now,IG lol)? Those have a use, clicking her heels 3 times allows her to bring her sinners back to life!

Our guide is Glinda! Also based on Wizard of Oz,I have....not drawn her yet! But she is ultra hands off,she mainly communicates by sending Dorothy letters in bubbles,oh and did I mention she's a color fixer? ...yea I probably should have started with that

Now onto our actual sinners, don't ask me about major plot details about them,I haven't worked it out yet,

Sinner #1,This is Chaplin! Based on Modern Times by Charlie Chaplin,this guy is more of a fusion of the two main characters of the movie since uhm...neither of them have names and frankly their stories are both so intertwined that You could easily mix them together so here we are. They are the most comical of the sinners,I have described them as having a lot of cat like behaviors to a degree, and they are selectively mute(silent film lol) They have a white board they write on like it's Lethal Company and they have Heelys(mainly for the funny)

I haven't uhm.....finished sinner #2 yet because everytime I try to draw him my art style makes him look like the Pringles mascot lol but it's Kane! Kane is based on Charles Foster Kane from Citizen Kane by Orson Welles! Right now currently he's like "god I'm in a company of all women...AND CHAPLIN" He's rich like....richer than Hong Lu rich,he does seem to offhandedly mention something Rosebud and it seems almost like he's searching for it...wonder what that could be?(Btw go watch Citizen Kane, I'm not telling you what Rosebud is)

Finally out last Sinner at the moment: Sinner #3 Judy based on Judy from Vertigo! Yessir this is the reason for the branch, her source got my imagination spinning (she may or may not be mine and Amia's favorite atm of the branch) I would have made Scottie a sinner but......I hate his ass and need him exploded and not in the cute way(JUDYYYYYY YOU DESERVED SO MUCH BETTER GIRLLL) Judy is also 20x more fun as a character than Mr. "I'm gonna stare at women for 70% of my screentime" Honestly I could gush so much about her but I won't to keep this brief... essentially by the end of Vertigo Scottie convinces her to change everything about herself to turn her into his lost love/obsession Madeleine (ai know there's more too it but uhm....Go watch Vertigo, I'm not spoiling the movie)[PS, Ignore the doodle in the corner, that was from an idea that Amia's OC Tessie and Judy would get along well]

Tomorrow we'll actually have Sinner #4 who's gonna be based on someone from the movie Sunset Boulevard ( I don't pre watch these bc my attention span actually increases so much when I analyze movies for Limbus)

Hey!! Just another anon lurker who decided to finally step out of the shadows. Probably a bit too awkward but that's a work under progress.

“I helped,” said Thomas.

“No you didn’t,” Robert said immediately.

“Yes I did, I made a circle -”

Robert sighed. “That does not count as helping.”

“I made a circle of rocks around it,” Thomas went on, ignoring him, “so it looks like a proper, actual campfire, instead of a… you know, an accident.”

“It does not look like an accident -”

“You look like an accident,” Thomas muttered.

He hates that they don’t even need to name Mario, that he’s just him, an eternal Him, like he’s some sort of imperial entity, and not just Marco’s ex-boyfriend – if that’s even what he is. Because they were never really boyfriends, exactly. They never got that far. And yet they were so much more than that.

dear fanfiction readers,

i’m putting this out here just to say that, if you are a fanfiction reader, there is some etiquette, and things to remember, and especially with the bunch of new ao3 members coming over from wattpad and not knowing what to do, this is just a basic little list of ao3 etiquette.

so yes, this mainly applies to ao3, but there is some that is notable for any fanfiction.

firstly and possibly most important, writers do this all for free. we write for our own enjoyment, and sometimes we might become disinterested in the fandom, or we might just have writers block, or maybe we need a mental health break. whatever it is, please do not demand for an update. we write for free, and we need to take breaks. don’t hold us to the same standards as you would a professional writer.

read the tags. please. that would help all of us greatly.

don’t like something? don’t read it. and if you do read it, don’t comment on it. it was most likely tagged that _____ is in this fanfiction. if you read the tags, then you will have no issue.

writers don’t know what kudos mean to you. you leaving kudos could be a “omg i adore this so much”, or it could be a “thanks for writing this :D”. the writer doesn’t know what kudos mean to you. i usually take kudos as a “this was decent ig, good job”, but some readers don’t leave kudos very easily, so it might be a “omggg i love this so much”. we don’t know that. so please, leave comments! it only take two seconds to say “i really liked this! great work!”

and also, we don’t know whether you’ve reread it. and you can’t leave kudos, so i usually assume that you just didn’t think about the fic after you read it, it just became another work that you read. so leaving a comment saying “just reread this, second kudos!” is greatly appreciated. once again, only takes two seconds!

don’t leave hate comments. this is someone’s piece of work, and they spent time and put effort into these works. just, don’t leave hate comments, or they will be deleted and you will be blocked, most likely. they’re a waste of your time, and just plain rude to the writer.

don’t give people shit for what fandom they write for. i can not say this enough. no matter what your opinions on the fandom are, just acknowledge that they find comfort/enjoyment/any other positive emotion that writers may find through writing, through that fandom.

and on that, people write for different reasons, and just make sure you respect that. i started writing bc i had an active imagination, and i loved the fandom that i was in when i was younger. now, i write as a way to vent, and deal with my emotions, and as a way of enjoyment. it’s different for everyone. respect everyone. it’s not that hard.

and to writers, i love you, and i’m proud of you. youre doing a great job, and if you’ve received any negativity bc of writing, don’t listen to them, and do what makes you happy.

Your boyfriend was sick, and your boss was giving you overtime for the 4th time this week. It was completely unfair and you wanted to punch someone in the face for your luck. But that would be a bit uncalled for, and you were sure Sunoo would laugh at it.

After a little persuading (arguing) with your boss, he let you have the weekend on account of a “sick relative.” Sure, you didn’t specify how sick your “relative” was, or the fact that he was actually your boyfriend, but your boss didn’t need to know.

Once 5 o’clock rolled around, you rushed back to your apartment. You picked up some painkillers and other medication from the drug store, as well as some mint chocolate ice cream before you walked through the door.

Apparently, you weren’t as quiet as you thought, because when you finally opened the bedroom door, Sunoo was already sitting up groggily. It was very clear that he had just woken up from his adorably messed up hair, disrupted sheets, and a Sunoo head-shaped dent in the pillow.

“Oh no- Did I wake you up?!” You asked quickly, and he just giggled and nodded, suppressing a cough that tried to surface. “I’m sorry.” You murmured.

“It’s okay.” He yawned, “Can you give me a hug? I haven’t seen you all day, and I missed you.” He pouted, giving you puppy-dog eyes as if he needed that to convince you. You would give him a hug regardless.

“Hold on- I have to navigate through the ocean of tissues before I can hug you.” You said, grabbing the trash can and throwing the tissues in their proper place as you made your way to Sunoo.

“Sorry about that- I wasn’t really thinking about where I was throwing them.” He explained and you laughed.

“You don’t have to apologise for anything, baby. As long as you work on getting better, that’s all that matters.” You said gently, finally reaching him and wrapping your arms around him. He sniffed, hugging you as tightly as possible.

“Do you still have a headache?” You asked, referencing the text he had sent with updates on his condition. 

He shook his head, “Sleeping made it go away. I’m just a bit sniffly still… As you could probably tell from the tissues.” He laughed, and you were glad he was still keeping his spirit up despite falling sick two days ago.

“Tired?” You asked.

“Yeah… You kinda just barged in here.”

You cringed, “Sorry for waking you, baby. Go back to sleep.”

“Can you stay with me? I really missed you.” He asked hesitantly, clinging onto the sleeve of your shirt as if you would leave and then he’d never be able to get you back.

“Of course, anything you want.” You let him pull you down next to him on the bed, his arms wrapping around your waist as he snuggled closer and got comfy. You smiled, pressing soft kisses all around his face to make up for the fact that he wouldn’t let you kiss his lips.

“Do you have work tomorrow?” He whispered, already half-asleep.

“Nope… I’m all yours for the weekend.” You said satisfactorily, happy that you were able to spend time with him uninterrupted for two more days.

“Really?” His voice was quiet as he fought to stay awake. You hummed, stroking his hair and making the battle against sleep all the harder for him. He eventually lost and you heard his breathing soften and his body relax as he drifted off to his dreamland.

You kissed his cheek, whispering a, “Get better soon, baby…” You fell asleep yourself, your arms still wrapped safely around him.
