HI SUCK MY BELOVED MUTUAL SUCKINITUP <3333 free ticket 🎟 to tell me all about spitfire she looks and sounds so fucking cool. also hi how are u. I've missed u on my dash 🔥💥💥🔥💥🔥💥‼️‼️
HI MAC HI BELOVED MUTUAL MACKERAL STUCK-IN-THE-GHOST-ZONE!!!! :D !! sorry this took me a minute to get back to i have been in Education Hell and then . Recovering From Education Hell. ive missed you toooooo king honestly i LOVE roleplay and oc and etc but the worst part is taking my insanity away from beloved mutuals' shared interests >:C pd s3 neowwwww pls anywya. anyway. :3 smiles sneetly. the spittle. my sportle. the girl of all fucking time. i got a new comp for christmas and literally All clip files except for one are about her...... hashtag normal. the crazy thing about spitfire. okay. the crazy goddamn thing. is that she was meant to be a Side Character. she was meant to be Quest Fodder. Interaction Bait. maybe develop a deeper relationship w the primary two characters but . instead she stole the Entire Fucking Show. Facts about spitfire -blasphemes -spits acid -has been spitting acid since she was 13 -has an older brother with p intense "contact everyone including the dead" superpower -loves brother -brother being taken advantage of by parents to run a super fucking expensive business speaking to the dead -brother hates this -parents indifferent to spitfire so she rebels. she still loves brother tho -their house is full of boards and pockmarks and broken chairs and holes in everything because spitfire's saliva is so fucking strong -there are parts of the house she's not allowed in like its so fucking. sucks -brother agrees its sucks and tries to be extra nice to her -brother gets a Good Idea -brother says hey. hey. i found this cool ass pill that will let me die and then come back to life later :D - hey. i think you should kill me
(rest under cut because im normal)
anyway -motherfucking 24 yo asking his 16 yo sister to kill him -'ive already taken the pill you have to do it now this is how we'll be free' -'we?' -'i know you're trapped too. please.' -she doesn't fucking want to -she wants to get the fuck out of that house -she loves him -she spits -blood everywhere. brains on the floor -ohgodohgod oh fuck -runs the fuck away -never sees her parents again -takes on full persona of vigilante -gets invited to stay in brothers new house or given a house of her own or basically anything she wants -fucking refuses because. god. she kinda feels sick every time she interacts with him after that -his home doesn't feel like her home it feels like his and he- -he feels like half a stranger -their relationship doesn't deepen at all it feels just as distant as when they were both living at home -more distant even -spitfire stays on her own. couch surfs and makes friends w drag queens and vigilantes and just hangs the fuck out -she wants to be a hero but her power is so destructive that she Can't
- shes a vigilante. helping out where she can and causing so soooo much property damage everywhere -she gets really good at spitting on the ground people are standing/about to stand on to destabilize them -hangs out like that for a few years. gets into problems and sidequests p often but is Chilling -this is where the rp started. she was MEANT to go and hang out w primary hero characters, The Enigmas -instead we thought it would be funny if she met gunge -gunge is @galaxy-starheart's character. he is evil goo and he eats people -he tried to eat spitfire -it went bad for him -she ate him instead -just a little -(she didn't know he was human at first) -(she used to always spit it out after biting people) -(but that time, to intimidate, she swallowed) -(she didn't know he was human) -(she swallows every time, now) -(she ate some cowboy once lmao) -(also gunge ate her sandwich and she's still pissed about that) -but they started up a convo and were getting along Great until she realized he was super fucking. scary because he started eating a live rat and she didn't wanna truck w that -he showed up again later anyway. through the next few weeks they kept popping into each others' lives and gunge the Most Evil goo: *saved her life *bought her medicine *gently carried her down some stairs after she broke her leg *burrowed into her leg to retrieve a bullet (and then fucking sold it in front of her to a powered pawnshop owner she introduced him to) *advised her to get a mask *respected that she doesn't like gore but also was a bit of an asshole about it -this is all great and also Bad. gunge is also super mega eating people. absolutely a supervillain. spitfire keeps going should I kill him??? I should definitely kill him. its a Good Thign to kill him right???? -kinda spirals in self loathing every time she hangs out with him but like. she also kinda feels a little special to be the special little guy to horrible goo -she starts feeling Safe with him -meanwhile the Enigmas and Gunge fucking hate each other -the Enigmas still need to interact with spitfire because one of them NEEDS to talk to her brother and she is literally their only link -she refuses to tell them anything about him because fuck that -she is a gossip she will literally spread rumours for fun and lie to have more fun. being tight lipped about literally anything is kinda not the norm for her -she told the evil goo that she met the enigmas -but she wont tell fucking anyone anything about her brother -she kinda murdered him. -she still feels super guilty for that and is going to protect him in literally any way she can -(complex family dynamics my LOVE) -anyway the Enigmas promise to buy her a suit for the tiniest nothing amount of info she gives them -she's like ok well they're obviously manipulating me because they want more info, -however. super suit -she kept going through clothes like a fuckign madwoman before that because her clothes. were not acid proof -becomes besties w the tailor -does NOT introduce gunge to the tailor because she thinks he would eat them -gotta rewind a lil bit here. powered pawnshop owner sold gunge a bunch of shit -spitfire made a deal w the pawnshop owner to NOT sell gunge acid resistance because then he could totally fucking kill her and she couldn't stop him -its expensive as fuck. pawnshop owner wants her to rescue his boyfriend from prison -she Hates that. she doesn't want to be a villain. she agrees anyway. -gunge. fights the enigmas. mega eats more people. gets captured. he is now in prison -spitfire Does Not Realize that. -she knows he's in prison and put away and etc etc. she's relieved she doesn't have to deal with him and complex feelings anymore -does not connect the dots. that now. he cannot be sold acid resistance. -she does not need to break the boyfriend out of prison
-she does anyway -your honour she is stupid -she also fucking accidentally breaks GUNGE out of prison -panicks the fuck about that but then he's her frozen cold little scarf and she's too busy escaping -ends up carrying him home for eight hours -during this time he shakes her belief in the heroes' organization -like fundamentally. like there was always this question of if he could villainize her -and this is the closest he comes -but then they get back to the city -he disappears and probably eats more fucking people. -spitfire feels fucking bad for not stopping him -next time she sees him she has her cool awesome suit. she was told by the tailor that someone tried to bug her suit. she's Worried -kinda fucking. angry too? feels like okay. this is where things go wrong. this is where shit fucks up. things are going too well for her. plans to ask gunge to check her suit for bugs and shes so PISSED just at the concept that, if he finds a tracker, he can fucking keep it -she's willing to give him the opportunity to kill the enigmas. the Heroes. -but only if they lie to her and she's not looking too closely and its just. its a big emotional wreck -a death sentence and pretending it isn't -but gunge. now that he is free as a nasty little bird. has killed a hero -and he's carrying around his head -and he's showing it off and laughing and spitfire feels sick -she asks gunge to check her suit anyway. if the enigmas have bugged her then are they really heroes kinda thing -she can't trust them -but there aren't any bugs. its fine. -spitfire is trying to ignore the head and trying to have faith that people will stop gunge again and it will be okay she just -needs to hang out and have faith in the actual heroes (because she should stop him. she can't. she should) -but she's SO fucking excited about her new suit -instead of a mask she has a helmet and its all black and leather and she has so many pockets and a protector for her water bottle -genuinely best thing she has EVER had -most favourite thing in the world -physical items she gets to KEEP. that she WONT destroy -and gunge -takes the helmet -and puts it on the severed head -spitfire is devastated -literally worse than eating her -she was so so sofucking excited for her suit. and now. he has Tainted It -and hes laughing and hes not taking her seriously (because he thinks shes a baby <3 and theyre friends so shes not a threat to him :] and he doesn't respect her !) and he leaves -and she goes back inside. talks to the pawnshop owner. gets the address for where gunge is going -and she calls the enigmas -and she gives him up -not because he hurt her -or hurt other people -or killed a hero -but because he fucked with her stuff
bonus fun facts about spitfire:
-she was fucking devastated by the 'friendship breakup' and what that said about her as a person -she was comforted by the civilian identity of one of the Most Powerful Heroes in the city -she realized this and ran the fuck away -she is currently a willing lab rat of a mad scientist and having Emotions about getting access to powers that aren't as destructive as her own -mad scientist might villainize her anyway -gunge still thinks they're friends lmao -also she is SO fuckign crass to the point that she embarrasses me to write for her sometimes
shes so fucking nasty okay like. Spitfire's Worst Sentence (so far) (responding to Gunge judging her for being crass): '"You're gonna get blasted up a dog's supercunt and squirted to the moon like the whiny bitch you are," Spitfire said, like she was offering something reasonable.'
Spitfire Gallery (more ive drawn since last time)
TLDR: i love her

Reader x Law: Wano-Pre-Raid on Onigashima
Authors note: Been watching Wano and these characters just inspire lots during this arc. Feel free to comment! Criticism is accepted in order to help my writing. Feel free to offer suggestions or more fic ideas! Next I’m working on some monster trio and Law drabbles I think, but other ideas are accepted and appreciated. Let me know your thoughts below. I know I want just 5 minutes alone with this man, as I know others feel the same, here it is. Thanks! I watch the English version where the Starwhats call Law, Traffy.
Law isn’t Traffy to you.
Features: Law
Summary: Law has just returned from being captured by Drake and Hawkins. Luffy sends you to see if Law and his crew are still down for the raid on the night of the Fire Festival. Law is interested in more than just the raid…
Warnings: Minors DNI, NSFW, Smut, fluff, Vaginal sex, fingering, ass/pussy slapping, pet names, “good girl”, Dom Law, teasing, I don’t own these characters
You and your crewmates, the Strawhats, are preparing outfits and hanging out at Kuri beach the night before the raid on Onigashima. Law, having escaped imprisonment by Hawkins and Drake, has rounded up his crew and is camping on his submarine nearby. You and your crewmates knew Law had been captured and had heard from some of the Heart Pirates he had come back in rough shape. You and the rest of the crew were now discussing who was going to touch base with the Heart pirates and reiterate the new plan to them.
“I’m going to go check in with Traffy and make sure he and his crew are still ready for tomorrow. Sanji, can I have a snack when I get back?” Luffy asks as he begins to walk toward the Polar Tang.
“You just ate! No you can’t have a snack!” Sanji yells.
Luffy’s stomach growls. You look over at the Polar Tang, knowing Law was back safely with his crew caused a soft smile to form across your face. You had only known him briefly as a result of the alliance formed between your crews. You couldn’t help, but like the mysteriously passionate and jaded captain of the Heart Pirates. Your crew had driven him insane during your partnership, but you knew what you accomplished at Dressrosa had made it worth it to him. You couldn’t believe that the raid tomorrow could mean the end of it, the end of seeing him. You frowned slightly and shook your head, as you returned to examine the outfit you had picked out.
“Luffy if you go you’ll just make Traffy angry! He’s been through a lot, let someone else go.” Nami urged.
“What do you mean? Traffy and I are friends!” Luffy yelled back, stopping in his tracks.
“Send Y/N. Traffy has rarely gotten annoyed with her our whole journey together. He’ll be honest with her.” Robin says, looking at you with a soft chuckle.
“But I wanted to see Traffy!” Luffy yells.
“You’ll see him tomorrow. He needs his rest, Let Y/N go.” Robin reinstructs.
“Fine. Y/N. Go check in on Traffy and his crew, make sure they are still ready for tomorrow.” Luffy says to you sternly.
You finish the twirl you started to do in the yellow, kunichi dress you had picked out for the battle tomorrow. You turned your head and looked at your captain with furrowed eyebrows.
“Why me?” You asked.
“That’s an order.” Luffy said with a commanding look.
Nami and Robin look at one another devilishly, then look back at you. You raise an eyebrow at them, then roll your eyes and begin walking towards the Polar Tang. At the polar tang you find Bepo, Shachi and Penguin outside on the submarine's deck.
“Hey, my crew sent me over to check on Law. They wanted to make sure you all were still good for the raid tomorrow?” You asked as you rubbed the back of your head nervously.
“Yes, we are still in! We want to find out who ruined the original plan, everyone keeps blaming us and our captain! We aren’t going to let him down like that ever again! ” Bepo says as he clenches his fists and takes a step forward.
“Yeah!” Penguin and Shachi say in unison after Bepo’s words.
“I’m glad to hear it.” You reply to them with a soft supportive smile. “Where’s Law? How is he?”
“He’s in his quarters tending to his..” His voice breaks a moment as he looks down in shame. “To his wounds and getting cleaned up.” Penguin says.
“My Captain asked me to check in with him, do you think that would be okay?” You ask, biting your lip.
You knew from how passionate his crew was, he must have been through something tough while captured.
“I’ll take you to him, this way.” Bepo replies.
“Thank you!” You say with a large grin.
You follow Bepo through the door of the Polar Tang. Shachi and Penguin swoon at you in your kunichi outfit as you walk away from them. Bepo leads you down a long hallway and eventually stops at a door on the right side of the hall.
“This is it.” Bepo says as he raises his paw to start to knock on the door. “Ugh… Captain…”
“What is it?” You hear a muffled deep, gravely voice speak from the other side of the door.
You gasp as you notice the anger in his voice. You knew you shouldn’t have come. Bepo nervously rubs the fur behind his ears.
“You have a visitor. One of the Strawhats is here to check in on you.”
“Tell Strawhat to go away.” Law replies sternly through the closed door again.
“Umm… it’s not Strawhat, just one of his crew.”
You swallow hard and decide to try to help Bepo out. Bepo sighs beside you.
“Law, it’s Y/N.” You say after taking a deep breath.
“Fine. Come in.”
You were shocked at his quick willingness to allow you to enter his private quarters. You turn the door handle and look over at Bepo, nodding at him as you push the door open. You walk in and shut the door behind you. Law sits on the floor, leaning against his bed in his kimono. He rests his arms across his knees bent in front of him. He’s covered in dried blood and staring at the wall. You blink a few times as you look at him. Taking a deep breath, you move to kneel down next to him.
“Law… Are you okay?” You ask shakily as you stare at him.
His eyes darted toward you, then returned to looking at the wall in front of him. You and Law had grown somewhat close during his alliance with the Strawhat crew. You liked talking medicine with him, since you were a former nurse. You hadn’t seen him since Zou as you had gone with Luffy to get Sanji back from Whole Cake Island. Meanwhile, he had gone straight to Wano with the rest of your crew.
You knew you cared about him more than the rest of your crew did and in a different way. You couldn’t imagine him ever feeling the same way, but you had feelings for him. You knew it was crazy, having a crush on the captain of another crew, but you couldn’t help how he made you feel. He made you feel safe, smart, and valuable. Not that your crew didn’t, but he did so in a different way and you enjoyed his company. You’d never leave your crew, but you knew when this alliance was over, you’d miss Law. All you could do was help him with his wounds now and do as your captain ordered, make sure he was still onboard for the raid tomorrow.
“Y/N.” He gives you a side glance then crosses his arms and looks at the floor in front of him. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine.” You say with a soft smile. You gently lean forward to touch his bloodied cheek. “You on the other hand…” You start to say as you reach for the basin of water he had prepared beside him and one of the clean folded towels.
You dip the folded towel in the water and ring it out. Gently, you press the warmed cloth to a cut on his forehead. He winces a bit as you apply some pressure to it. He sighs at the heat from the cloth and the tenderness of your care.
“I’m fine.” He says. “Just a few bumps and bruises. I’ll be ready for tomorrow.” He adds as he reaches up for your hand holding the cloth.
The sensation of his hand touching yours sent a jolt through your body. Your heart began to beat faster and a warmth began to grow inside your chest. Law took the cloth from your hand and used it to wipe the rest of the dried blood from his face. You reached for another cloth and prepared it to hand to him. He sat quietly focused on his task, then his eyes fell back upon your face. His eyebrows were furrowed as he stared at you with an intensity that only made the heat in your chest rise.
“Law.” You reply as you furrow your eyebrows back at him in confusion. “What is it?”
He grunts and clenches his teeth, directing his gaze back to his hands. He takes a deep breath, then looks at you with a side glance again. He tosses the cloth in his hand back into the basin, then he reaches for the cloth in yours. He takes the cloth in from your hand and tosses it in the basin as well. He stands up and sits at the edge of his bed, returning his gaze to you with a sigh.
“I’m glad you’re okay, Law. When I heard you had gone to rescue your crew… and gave yourself up for them… I was…” Your eyes begin to water as you speak. “Bepo was so worried.” You say as you shake your head and look down at your hands, to hide your watering eyes.
“Why do you call me Law while the rest of your crew calls me that stupid nickname?” Law urges as he looks at you without turning his head.
You look up at Law in confusion and twist your lips as you think of a response to the sudden subject change.
“Oh. Um. I guess it’s well, I know you hate the nickname,I ’d rather call you something else, something you like. You say, placing your palms on your thighs, tucking your head down, so Law can’t see your blush.
“Like what?” He asks, giving you another side glance, then looking back in front of him.
“I don’t know, Traf?” You say looking up with a surprised grin.
“Okay.” He says not to make eye contact with you.
“Okay?”
“I’m glad you’re okay. I was worried about you.” He says with a blush he doesn’t try to hide.“But, this alliance ends after the battle with Kaido tomorrow.” he adds with his earlier sternness returning to his voice.
His blush makes your blush grow, but your eyes begin to glisten at the idea of the two of your parting ways. Your thoughts begin to flood with panic, had Law just blushed at you, had he just flirted with you? The man sitting before you had just risked his life for his crew, and after tomorrow night, you may never see him again. You decided it was now or never. You look at him and take a deep breath.
You lunge forward and wrap your arms around his neck, pulling yourself towards him in a tight embrace. His eyes widen, his breath catches in his throat, and his hat falls from his head at your jarring lunge. You bury your head into his neck and breathe him in. It takes a moment due to shock, but his chest relaxes against yours and his arms wrap around your waist, pulling you in closer to him. You sit there for a few seconds, wrapped in one anothers embrace. After a bit, he pushes away from you and his eyes meet yours. Your hands sink down his muscular, tattooed chest as you try to guess what could be going through his mind. Your eyes flicker to his lips a moment, then returns to his gray orbs, you hoped he would realize the permission you were giving him.
Suddenly, his soft, dry lips are hitting yours. Law is rough at first like he thinks the moment is fleeting and you’ll realize you’ve made a mistake. Your hands slither back up to embrace his neck to which his body relaxes against yours, pulling you in closer to him. Your fingers begin to rifle through his dark messy hair. Gently his tongue pushes against your lips, asking for permission to enter. As you grant it, your left hand falls to feel his chest, catching on the lining of his kimono, pulling it to hang loose off his chest. Your hand caresses his naked, tattooed pec.
Law slowly drags away from your lips and begins meticulously kissing down your neck. At your collarbone, you feel his teeth dig into you, forcing a moan from your lips.
“Traf..”
He pulls away and looks at you devilishly, raising his eyebrow in question. You nod back. His tattooed hands wrap around your waist and lift you to straddle his right leg. His warm chapped lips return to press against your plump red ones. You push the kimono off his shoulders, and move to twirl your fingers in his messy dark locks. He begins to pull at the tie of your kimono. Your lips separate as his gaze falls upon your chest. Your lips begin to caress at and nibble his pierced ear. As the kimono falls off your skin, Law stares in awe at your well endowed chest. A moan escapes his lips as you bite and suck harder near his piercings. He moves his right hand from your waist to caress your breasts, gently twisting your right bud. You moan in his ear and move your chest closer to his, seeking out more friction on your sensitive buds. He drops his hand from your breasts back to your waist and begins sucking and nipping at your nipples. Your hips begin to rock against his thigh in delight, while he licks away at your sensitive buds. He chuckles with pleasure against your breast as your hands fall from hair to his back. Your fingertips curl into his toned shoulders, leaving scratch marks as he bites again at your nipple.
“Traf… need you.” you whine.
He smirks, pulling away from his feast on your breasts to look you in the eye. He slides his hands down your waist to your folds. You lean forward, connecting your chests, hoping to find some friction like he had just been giving you with his tongue. He chuckles as his tattooed hand runs through your folds, causing you to throw your head back.
“Law!”
“No underwear. Thought so…and so wet. You’re such a slut for me.” He says with a wider smirk.
Your hands slide across his toned back to his chest. Tracing the lines of his large heart tattoo, you find his hardened length beginning to twitch beneath his kimono. Your fingers grasp at it above the fabric as your gaze falls back on his.
He stares at you blankly with his half lidded eyes, fingers circling your clit. Your hips rock faster against his thigh. His grip tightens on your waist as his lips fall upon your ear. Pulling him closer by grabbing his shoulders, your head falls back with a moan. His thumb drops to trace your entrance while two of his other fingers continue to circle your clit.
“You move when you’re told, make noise when you’re told, and cum when you’re told, got it, princess?”
His hand moves faster against your clit as he finishes his instructions. You bite your lip, trying to restrain a moan and look him in the eye. He wraps his arms back around you and lifts you from his lap, to lay flat on the bed behind you. Your kimono falls to the floor at the foot of the bed as Law moves you. You now rest on his bed completely naked and he looks on at you with a satisfied gaze. You raise your knees and begin rubbing your hands up and down your thighs. Law moves to sit between them. He places his left hand on your hip and his right on your clit. His kimono still rests at his waist.
“Law…need”
He slaps your folds. You stifle a moan.
“I thought you were going to be a good girl and do as you were told?”
He begins tracing your entrance with his left hand and using his right thumb to trace the alphabet on your clit. Your toes lift off the ground as he dips his tattooed fingers “E” and “A” into you.
“Say my name.”
“Law.”
“No.”
“Traf.”
“All of it.”
“Trafalgar Law” you say, still trying to stifle a moan as his fingers begin to pound in and out of you.
His fingers begin curling to hit your spot. His hand moves from your clit to bring one of your breasts and nipples to his mouth. Heat begins to build in your stomach.
“Traf I’m going to.”
“Not until I say.” He says sternly, licking at your bud.
He begins quickly slamming your spot faster with his curled fingers. You grip at his hair and grit your teeth. You feel a smile form on his lips against your breast.
“Now.” He says as he bites your breast and moves his thumb back down to play with your clit. His thumb returning to circle your clit sends you over the edge.
“LAAAWWW.” You call in ecstasy as your juices spill out all over his Death tattooed fingers.
You breathe heavily and hear the whoosh of his kimono as he pulls it off and strips his briefs. You sit up on your elbows to get a better look, a smile growing across your lips.
“Now, prove to me you’re a good girl and take me.”
You nod. He gets back on the ground and lays on top of you. Your arms wrap around his back and pull him closer to you. His lips press against yours as his hardened length pushes against your abdomen. Your hand begins to caress his length, but he slaps it away, grabbing it himself to line it up with your entrance.
He begins moving his length up and down your entrance, causing your hips to buck with need. His mouth drops from your lips to bite at your nipples. You moan in response.
“Remember who is in charge here. Otherwise I’ll have to tease you longer.” He says with a smug grin.
You nod and as your hips begin to buck against his. One of your hands wrapped in his dark locks while the other scratches at his back with need.
“You look so tight. Can’t wait to feel you around me. Are you ready to be a good girl and take me?”
You nod, pulling his lips back to yours. He gently begins to enter you with just his tip at first. You moan and clench around him. He grunts. As you relax with him beginning to inch inside you, he slowly begins to push more into you. Once in, he stops moving to let you adjust. Your head falls back and you pant at the feeling of fullness within you. Law kisses your neck and begins to slowly pull his length in and out of you, using your waist as a guide.
“So tight. Look how well you’re taking me. Now be a good girl and handle your pounding.” He says sternly.
You nod against his cheek. His grip tightens and he begins thrusting harder to slam against your cervix. After seeing you tolerate this, he gradually picks up his pace. His lips fall back against yours, while one of his hands dances from your hip to your clit, where it starts moving in circles again. As he starts working your clit with his fingers you feel the heat beginning to rise again in your abdomen.
“I’m close. You’ve been such a good girl for me, so I’ll let you decide, where should I cum?”
“I’---in-inside… Want to feel you finish in me.”
“Good girl.” He says moving his hands back to your hips, so he can slam into you harder.
His gaze falls upon your face where your eyes are beginning to cross and water. You lift your legs to wrap around him to take him deeper. His balls are slapping against your entrance.
Law reaches a hand up and twists one of your swollen nipples, that combined with another deep slam and your juices are pouring out all over his hard length.
“TRAFALGAR.” You moan as your body shakes around his length.
He moves in and out through your ecstasy and after a few more thrusts you feel his length quiver inside you. His juices begin to drip out your core and down your thighs. You pant as Law moans quietly. His eyes fall back upon yours as he raises a hand to move your hair out of your face. His lips gently press against yours once more before he falls down to lay beside you. After a few seconds of panting he puts his arm around you and pulls you into his chest. You tuck your head into his shoulder and wrap your arms around his torso.
“If we die fighting Kaido, at least I can die happy now.” You say breathily.
“We can’t die. I have some other things I would like to try… with you…” Law says between pants.
“Whatever you say, Traffy.” You reply with a soft smile as you lift your lips to his.
The two of you lay there for a bit chatting and laughing.
“I should probably head back soon.” The crew may be wondering where I am.
You roll off his chest and begin crawling out of his bed. You reach for your dress at the base of his bed, but before you can pick it up, arms are wrapped around your waist pulling you back in.
“Let them wonder.”
“Thank goodness my dress isn’t ruined.” You start to say as he kisses down your neck. “Maybe I can stay for a bit longer, but only if you show me your outfit for tomorrow.”
You knew Law cared about what he looked like, so after trying clothes on with your own crew, you were curious what he would choose for the big battle. He rolled his eyes at you, then got out of bed. He rifles through his closet and grabs a shirt and some pants then steps into his bathroom to pee and change. You talk to him about his future plans while he changes. When he steps out, you visibly gasp and you can’t speak. His signature spotted pants and a yellow dress shirt. Who knew such a simple outfit could leave you speechless. Maybe it was the fact it highlighted his lean build or that he only wore two buttons of his shirt buttoned to show off his tattoos. Maybe it was the fact you knew now what lay underneath. You jump to your knees and begin reaching for the shirt buttons.
“Okay, I’m glad I had some warning. I know we should rest because tomorrow is a big day, but I’m now going to need you the rest of the night… maybe well into the morning.” You nervously spit out as you finish the last button and push the shirt from his shoulders, heading for the buttons of his jeans next.
Law’s smug grin returns as he grabs your hands in one of his. He uses his free hand to lift your chin and bring your lips to his.
“Slow down, tiger. Remember who is in charge here. It’s nice to see you needy for me this quickly. May have to find a way to drag this battle out, so we can get some more time together.”
You nod against his lips and pull him back on top of you on the bed.
“Or just join our crew, they already think of you as a member.” You say laughing mildly against his lips.
“You’ve seen what I do for a good girl, seems like it’s time to show you what I do for a bad one…” Law says as he slaps your ass.

Summary: your boyfriend is a streamer, a popular one at that. this is a fic about: how their chat find out that you are dating, how they treat you off-stream and on-stream/do they treat you differently
Warnings: swearing, mentioning of death threats and killing(Scaramouche), streamer reader(Scaramouche), slight ooc, if there is anything else then pls tell me
Characters: Xiao, Childe, Venti, Scaramouche, Aether
Note: I am trying my best ok, and I'm kinda new to Tumblr, so if it isn't to your liking then leave, please./I´m sorry if you can´t understand what I´m writing, bc neither can I/. btw this is later than I originally intended bc it got deleted when I was almost DONE, like seriously. so I have like no motivation left now, yay :(
Xiao
How Chat Found Out: You two were roommates, or that´s what his chat thought anyways. Because you two lived together that was what you told them and most believed that so you thought it was fine/Xiao is shy and lied about you two dating when they asked, and then you just lied too cus you are the best(I mean that with my whole heart).
but one day when you were out with some of your friends, and Xiao was streaming at home with Zhongli(in this story Xiao´s adoptive father) some girl suddenly came up to you and started yelling at you because apparently you took her "boyfriend" away, you and your friends got confused and just let her be after, she had yelled at you for about 2 min. a little later you called Xiao and explained what happened. and after Xiao told you that Zhongli got asked about your relationship while he was gone to get some food, and he forgot that you were keeping it a secret and even showed some photos of you kissing. when you got home/to a guilty Zhongli and Xiao trying his best to comfort him/you both forgave him and then properly announced it the next day, so you don´t have to worry about anyone finding you out. . . because they already know.
On-Stream: he is very shy so its mostly something like your beside him, in the background or sometimes sitting in his lap. he doesn´t pay that much attention to you but only because he thinks it's embarrassing and that stuff. he will also become a tomato if you kiss him on-stream, even though he will despise you for an hour or so its worth it.
Off-Stream: he becomes less shy and pays more attention to you, he also blushes more at your closeness because he doesn´t feel like he has to hold back his emotions. why? well, he´s with you the most wonderful y/n in the whole world. so yeah he behaves differently when you two are alone, and not with hundreds of people watching you.
he loves you, but he´s not always good at showing it.
Childe
How Chat Found Out: honestly I think would just tell them I they asked, but weirdly no one did. maybe it was because they didn´t want to interfere, and thought it was inappropriate. or they didn´t want any of the lovesick fans ruining your relationship. but either way, there was definitely someone else in the house, because they could sometimes hear someone talking in another room, and sometimes post and pans, I guess they just didn´t say anything about it.
but then one of his friends brought up how you were doing because you were sick the last time they talked to him. and he said you were doing better and then the chat flipped out with messages like "Who the f**k is y/n", "are you dating that y/n person", bratty fan girls raging because how dare him and so on. he then talked about you for the next 30 min, and the other person in the call almost fell asleep by how much he talked, so the chat now knows a lot about you. . . maybe a little too much.
On-Stream: he talks a lot, he always does, but now there are more topics about you when he talks all day. example: what you ate today, a pretty outfit you wore this week, some new accessories he got you today, and yadda yadda. he also has you sit on his lap or beside him in your own chair. and ofc he kisses you at least once every stream.
Off-Stream: I would say that he´s not much different, but maybe a little, for example: lets you talk more and now listens more than he talks, kisses you more and is always touching you(not in a sexual way).
he loves you more than anything and is not afraid to show it.
Venti
How Chat Found Out: honestly I think they already knew since he does "drunk" streams-streams with alcohol-and there was always someone beside him: you. you decided you would be bedside him for his safety and to make sure he doesn´t do anything too dumb. you were out of frame, so they couldn´t really see you, but Venti sometimes talked to you so they knew what you sounded like, and saw your hands once or twice. and they adored you, and by the way he talked about you and looked at you he did too. So naturally they thought that you were dating/or related by blood but he was too lovestruck when he looked at you.
but yeah one stream he maybe drank a little too much, and he maybe began talking to you while forgetting that he was live and called you some rather. . . sweet names and then passed out, so you carried him out of his room to make him sleep a bit. when you suddenly remembered that you forgot to turn off the stream and you didn´t even turn off the camera. meanwhile, the chat was freaking out because you were so freaking pretty. so you went in and turned the stream off.
On-Stream: you now sat a little closer and people could see at least half your body, you also there in more streams and not just those containing alcohol. you two didn't give that much affection but you sometimes kissed him here and there.
Off-Stream: besides being closer and kissing more often then I don´t think there are any other differences in behavior other than ofc you spend more time together and not just beside each other.
he loves you a lot and also loves to show it.
Scaramouche
How Chat Found Out: well basically he got into an argument with Childe typical of him. you were in a collab with them and playing a multi-player game when they started arguing over something/you didn´t know what bc you tried to ignore them, so you didn´t get a headache/and it got so heated you had to mute them so you and your viewers didn´t hear all their screaming and send a message to Scara to tell you when they were done. Therefore you didn´t hear Scara yell "Well at least I'm not single" (I forgot to say that here Childe is single in this part, oh well) and everybody was shocked, they thought that Childe would be the one to get a partner first. so while Scara and Childe were still arguing, the viewers started discussing who would want to date were dating him, they didn´t find anybody though.
a few days later they finally asked him instead of speculating about it, and he/with a straight face/"Oh. . . me and y/n are dating, you didn´t know?" and let's just say that chat flipped out even more because wtf you dating HIM of all people
On-Stream: he doesn´t show any affection like at all, the only thing is you forcing him to let you sit in his lap. but no kissing, sweet talk or anything like that, nope just the same grumpy Scaramouche. he got a little annoyed when you kissed him once while he played with some friends but forgave you. Oh, and you also collab more with each other.
Off-Stream: he is definitely a lot nicer, and is kinda soft for you/but only for you/. And he doesn’t look like he wants to k!ll someone all the time or sending death threats to anybody, so at least that's one thing going for ya.
he loves you, no matter if you annoy him from time to time.
Aether
How Chat Found Out: he was in a collab with a few people (Lumine, Venti, Xiao...), and Lumine wanted to annoy Aether, it´s a sibling thing. and therefore she brought up a lot of... not the best topics to talk about on stream, and she also brought up the fact that someone is living with him/you/and how that person is just sooo sweet and pretty/handsome. (because of course she´s been over and already knows that you two are dating) so she teased him by telling him about how he should totally date you, to try and get him to reveal it to the viewers. yes she could have just told them, but this was more fun for her.
he knew what she was doing but didn´t give in until Venti (actual best annoying b!tch) started to do it too, which Lumine loved Aether... not so much. so he eventually gave in and told them that, yes he was dating someone, Xiao then asked who and Lumine made him admit that it was you/the person he`s currently living with/and chat wanted ANSWERS so they asked him stuff like, who were you, where did you meet, when did you meet, how do you look, can we see this y/n, and so on. he answered the best he could while venti and Xiao were also asking questions. he eventually called you in and asked if it was ok for people to see you, and you said yes. (you cannot say no, understand) so you showed your face and you trended on teyvats twitter.
On-Stream: he definitely has you around him almost all the time, like sitting on his lap, beside him, or having you do something of your own in the background, you're properly also there if he does any cooking streams, vlogs or hangouts.
Off-Stream: he´s still has you around him, but now you´re a lot closer. that´s his way to show more love freely instead of keeping it down. because there's tons of people looking at you all the time, and sometimes he doesn´t want to share you.
he loves you very much, and wants you to be there with him at all time.

Leona Kingscholar in the Years Before
summary: This is Leona Kingscholar in the years before his overblot.
characters: Leona Kingscholar, Vil Schoenheit, Ruggie Bucchi, Rook Hunt, Malleus Draconia
cw: violence against children (not in graphic detail), LeoVil (but toxic)
a/n: This is generally hard to categorize, but this fic is basically a bunch of my head canons for Leona (and some other characters involved) stuffed together in a story format which takes place in the years before the NRC school year we follow in game. I have one of these for most of the twst characters which all started out as bullet point lists for me to remember as I write fanfiction. They turned into a series of short one-shots that act as standalone pieces but often interact with each other, so you can either read just one or treat this as a series and follow along with any plot threads mentioned in other character’s parts.

Though Leona was born an outcast, cursed with abilities which hadn’t been seen in his family line since its beginnings and detested because of it, he figured he didn’t truly understand what that meant until he was around six years old. He had gotten into a shouting match with Kifaji- though he doesn’t remember what about nor does he remember how much of the yelling actually came from his own tantrum- and ran away. He doesn’t remember how he managed to evade place guards and wander farther away from the palace grounds than he had ever been even with Kifaji in tow. He doesn’t remember how he ran into the Hyenas moving cargo into a nearby shop.
But what Leona does remember is how it made his blood boil to hear them talking about his family the way they did so he had to stand up to them. He remembers how they laughed and decided to “teach the lion cub a lesson,” nearly taking out his left eye. He remembers having to use his unique magic on another living being and how they Hyena’s skin and bone cracked and peeled under his touch before Kifaji found them as scared the group away.
What did Leona get for all his trouble? No thank you for trying to protect the family name despite the danger. No concern from his family about his eye or what using such strong magic on a person could do to a kid’s psyche. He was just scolded for what seemed like hours on end and made to stay within the palace grounds for the next few months, even if he did have supervision. Kifaji helped patch him up, saying some bull about how scars are a sign of bravery and that the King of Beasts had a similar mark, not that the feeble attempt to make Leona feel better actually helped the situation. It was embarrassing all the same.
The worst thing about the whole ordeal was that the Hyenas were right. The royal family didn’t put money back into the places that needed it. Leona just needed a bit more life experience to understand it.
He was 16 when he received his first invitation to Night Raven College, but going away to live in a cramped dorm with a bunch of other kids to learn basic magic skills Leona already knew seemed like more trouble than it was worth. Besides, it wasn’t like his already powerful magic skills did him anymore good in the end anyway. Leona already knew his lot in life. He was forced to participate in archaic royal traditions that served no real purpose in centuries, pressured by his family to schmooze with other royals to hopefully find someone to date and eventually marry, and ignored when he voiced his concerns about his brother’s public displays of frivolous wealth and political spending. That was the hand dealt to the second born son of the royal family.
So, when Leona immediately came to the conclusion that going to NRC would be a waste of time and energy, he threw out the invitation right in front of Falena and Subira, his sister-in-law. The look on their faces was priceless. He got an earful from Kifaji later, but that wasn’t out of the ordinary.
It didn’t take long the two to decide that, if Leona wasn’t going to participate in any of his princely duties and he wasn’t going to continue his studies, he still needed something to do instead of sitting on his ass all day. Subira was apparently the one who chose Leona’s punishment: getting stuck with her two-year-old son to babysit. And Kings, did Leona hate it. Having to look after and take care of the assured proof that Leona truly did not matter in the grand scheme of his family line was pure torture, especially after Cheka’s Ubatizo Ceremony- the official recognition that he would be the future ruler of Sunset Savana.
The moment Night Raven’s invitation arrived for the following school year, Leona was practically ready to move out completely.
By all means, the selection of the Prince of the Sunset Savana- a direct descendant of the King of Beasts- to Savanaclaw Dorm should have been an honor for its students. Unfortunately, his status didn’t win him favor amongst his classmates and lots of his other housemates often picked fights with him in the first few weeks of the fall semester. They were all brawn and no brain though, so outsmarting opponents to come out on top was easy. The result was a dorm room full of scared freshmen roommates and a whole house of kids who stood aside when he walked in the room. Leona supposed it wasn’t much different than at back at home.
But then the incompetent Savanaclaw Housewarden came up with the weakest plays imaginable for the Interdorm Magical Shift Tournament. Leona couldn’t stand to watch someone fumble so badly let alone have to suffer the consequences. He easily managed to take the reins from his Housewarden, leading the dorm to a record-breaking score in which they effectively slaughtered the competition. Slowly, fear and wariness turned to respect and admiration. It was something that surprised Leona at first, but their reaction wasn’t without reason if given a second thought. With his intelligence, a rare quality in the dorm where laser focused brute strength was valued, and sheer magical prowess, it was clear that he was the one who really should have been Housewarden.
For a while, there was talk that the Housewarden was considering Leona as a Vice Housewarden, but Leona wasn’t interested in playing second fiddle to a third year with half of his magical skill and less than half of his intellectual ability. Leona eventually challenged his Housewarden to a magical duel towards the end of the Spring semester though, making a play at leader before his Housewarden even had time to announce a replacement. The magical duel between them lasted no longer than a minute.
For the rest of the school year, Leona practically felt like a king in his own right. Even in the Summer semester's Interscholastic Spelldrive competition when he was chosen to compete along with the other housewardens, he was the one who put a dent in Royal Sword Academy’s defenses. NRC always lost, but it was a close game that year. When the short break between the Summer and Fall semesters hit and Leona had to go home, he actually wanted to return to school. It was better to feel wanted and looked up to back at Savanaclaw than to feel like a waste of space and an afterthought in the palace.
But Leona’s second year brought an… interesting challenge– that of not trying to get distracted by three of the incoming first years. And over the course of the school year, it was a challenge he couldn't really win.
Leona spotted Vil Schoenheit immediately at the Welcome Ceremony. he told himself the reason he kept staring because Vil looked kind of familiar and not that he was stunned by how beautiful the blonde was. Leona eventually overheard the whispers saying he was some actor and model apparently, so he decided he’d avoid the guy. Unfortunately for him, Vil decided to track him down at lunch the next day to introduce himself, flirt a bit, then leave. And even more unfortunate, Leona wanted more, so he asked him out a week later.
The two were obviously bad for each other, Leona knew that. But for all the fights Vil would pick about Leona not putting effort into anything or dressing sloppy or not wanting to go to class, there would be an equal amount of time spent sneaking off to make out between classes, in empty classrooms, and behind school buildings and everything was better for the moment. It was an unhealthy balance, but Leona didn’t think too much of it at first. Not that Vil took what was going on between them seriously most of the time. Leona kind of knew what he was getting into when Vil explained mid-make out session on their second date that he was “too busy for a real relationship,” and Leona supposed he was okay with that. Though anytime he matched Vil’s energy, he’d be harassed about it. Considering Leona was starting to feel like he was losing control of literally everything else going on in his life at the time, he quickly started to wonder if dating Vil was really worth it.
Especially because just one month into Leona’s second year, Malleus Draconia, first year and heir apparent to Briar Valley practically soloed the entirety of Savanaclaw in the Interdorm Magical Shift tournament, knocking their dorm out in the first round. It was an embarrassing loss that left Leona shaken for the rest of the semester. On top of that, the entirety of Savanaclaw watched as he and Vil argued with each other for months, essentially exposing one of Leona’s major weaknesses. Eventually Rook Hunt, a loudmouth first year that had a habit of running his mouth off to the wrong people, questioned Leona’s ability to lead Savanaclaw claiming him to be too easily distracted by outside factors. Leona kicked him out immediately and when the inevitable dorm transfer paperwork came in, he was happy to send him along.
Vil finally broke things off with Leona a week later, right at the end of the Spring semester. It was just as well, though. If Leona was being completely honest with himself, he just wanted to feel wanted. But he refused to reflect on that.
Instead, he spent the entirety of the Summer semester not doing anything—not schoolwork or tests or even managing his housemates. He’d spent two thirds of the year struggling, pushing hard to balance everything in his life and he just sort of stopped. There were a few times the others would get bold and challenge him to take the Housewarden seat, but Leona was strong enough to put an end to things quickly. Even the few who wanted to be vice Housewarden would need to pass a similar test and Leona would shut them down every time. By the end of the year, his housemates knew their place and things were back to normal in the dorm anyway.
It was no surprise to Leona that he was held back. He spent a lot of time the past year skipping work and class so the last semester where he went completely AWOL was the nail in the coffin, though he certainly didn’t mind. This would just be an extra year of escaping home with his small group of followers. There was part of him that wondered if he could just keep skipping school—staying on campus but barely doing any work so that he could stay in his little kingdom forever, but a little freshman Hyena decided to stick to him like some hornbill and started managing his life.
Ruggie Bucchi was annoying at first. It was obvious that he was just trying to get a leg up in the ranks by cozying up to a prince from their kingdom, but after a while, it became a means of entertainment watching him scramble to be at Leona’s beck and call. There was a point where Leona wanted to see how far the kid would go to make himself useful, but when Vil, now Housewarden of Pomfiore, started hanging around again, his game would have to wait. Ruggie had a surprisingly good perspective on the situation, as much as it annoyed Leona. He told Leona what he needed to hear but didn’t want to. It helped keep Leona focused as they prepared for the Interdorms again. Not to mention Ruggie also had a Unique Magic that could fuck with the Pomfiore team during the game which was fun for all Savanaclaw considering how Pomfiore’s Housewarden and vice had been a thorn in their sides the previous year.
Over the weeks that followed, the two grew surprisingly close. Ruggie would do all the physical things for Leona like cleaning and being a general gopher with only mild complaint. In fact, whenever he’d nag him for not doing something he was supposed to, it was clear Ruggie didn’t see him as a prince or as someone to look down on but more like an equal. Their back-and-forth banter, constantly catching each other in white lies to get out of obligations, and making sure the other was decently taken care of almost felt familial at times. Leona figured this was the closest thing to having a younger brother he’d ever experienced, not that he’d ever share the thought with the Hyena.
Leona asked Ruggie if he was interested in being Vice Housewarden once. A few other housemates who attempted to suck up to Leona for the position tried to overthrow Leona completely. He didn’t think the kid had it in him to try, but he was curious. Ruggie just did one of his goofy grins and said he was fine with being Leona’s lackey. Leona appreciated the honesty. If he wanted to sit back while Leona did all the big brain work, he couldn’t blame him.
Going into his third year, Leona is determined to not let anything get in the way of leaving a lasting impact on Savanaclaw’s and Night Raven’s history. He had an idea when he saw how Ruggie was able to use his Unique Magic and decided to help him harness it better. That idea gets expanded over the summer break.

Honey
Din Djarin x f!Reader
A Lovers' Crest one-shot (Here's its Masterlist)
Summary: You and the Mandalorian hatch a plan to trap an elusive bounty. And Din Djarin absolutely hates it. Until he doesn't.
[Or, the characters from Lovers' Crest have a little post-story adventure! Can be read standalone.]
Word count: 2.5k
Warnings: 18+ MDNI, pwp, unprotected piv (be safe), creampie, semi-public sex, (there's an unconscious guy in the room), established relationship, Din lifts you but damn he is a strong strong man, Reader described: wearing a dress, heels, having longish hair, does a lil pole dance. I know this isn't how a 'honey pot' situation works but oh well it's just a bit of fun.
A/N: What's this? It's the first fic I ever wrote. Posted to AO3 in June last year. No idea if it's anything anymore, but it dragged me out of a desperate writing slump - and led me to write the longer fic - so I will always feel affection for it.
--
‘No.’
‘Oh, come on!’
‘I said no!’
‘Why not?’
‘I don’t like it. It’s not a good idea.’
‘It’s a great idea. And… all we’ve got.’
So, Din Djarin sits in an upscale-style club sharing a table with Mythrol mobster Earl Gorstrik.
The crime boss has been an elusive target for months, and a royal headache for Greef Karga. Taking out shipments of essentials, extorting construction projects and all manner of agency rackets, Gorstrik’s activities had pushed poor old Greef into upping the reward to nearly double.
‘Just get this fucker out of my business, please,’ Greef had begged him last time they’d dropped into town.
Then you had proposed an idea that had set his blood to boil, a constant roll that continued to this very moment. He’d remained unconvinced by the whole plan, but especially by your assertion that you would be sure to ‘really make it worth his while’. Din is dubious.
He doesn’t even get to have Grogu for company. This is not a child-friendly mission.
Gorstrik is yammering in his ear.
‘Seriously, Mando,’ he slurs. ‘I’m so glad a man of your calibre recognises the value of partnering with my… endeavours…’
Din is barely taking it in. Why are these types always so verbose? He mutters something about ‘needing to expand prospects’ and that sets the mob boss off to wax lyrical about property scams.
Din swears he’s going to ditch this whole, terrible attempt, when the music pounding in every corner of the place transitions to one of heavy bass and soaring synths.
Earl Gorstrik slaps at Din’s shoulder. ‘Oh excellent! It’s starting. Ever been to one of these Mando? No, bet not. Haha! Sit back and enjoy!’
Lights dance on the raised catwalk that dominates the middle of the room. Long, shiny polls descend from above, dropping within arm’s reach of the stage. A tall, lovely twi’lek female struts into view. Skin-tight body suit and stratospheric pumps. She reaches up to a poll and spins, smiling at the whooping and hollering rising from the patronage.
A short, sultry routine ends as the poll she holds rises back toward the ceiling. Din follows it, and her, up to spy the lofted gang plank that vanishes into an upper area.
Gorstrik leans into Din’s space.
‘You like that?’ he breathes. ‘Best part? If you spot someone you really like, you can arrange your own little meeting. Heh, up there,’ he points to the disappearing legs of the performer. ‘Just wave down a tender.’
Two human males saunter to neighbouring polls. They look to be twins. A stunning display of athleticism and strength concludes as they too rise upwards. Din spots several hands frantically waving at the establishment’s staff.
Fed up, Din is about to take his leave – to go find you – when a vision walks onto the stage and sucks all the air from his lungs. He’s locked rigid in his seat and his cock swells so fast it’s almost painful.
An adept lighting droid starts with revealing a pair of black, luxurious stilettos that step with languid grace down the catwalk. Silhouetted legs are shown to be bare as they curve up, all the way up – impossibly far – to the hem of a scant black dress. Deliciously tight and hugging every single curve.
Reaching the pole at the very end of the stage, the vision twists to face away from the crowd and is lit up all at once. The Mandalorian’s eyes are wide and his mouth has fallen open behind his helmet, made utterly transfixed by what he’s seeing onstage.
Glossy hair cascades over bare shoulders, swishing gently as you turn back to the crowd with a flourish. Your glittering eyes lock onto Din’s visor for a split second and he fair nearly blows his load then and there.
You take hold of the pole and give a single lazy spin, letting Din’s eyes roam every inch of you. Then you slide down the pole some and spin again, extending your legs so the sides of your knees and shins skim the flooring.
A few of these rotations before you tuck your long legs under you to stand for a moment. You make one swaying motion to put momentum into the pole and swing yourself up, using a turn away from the audience to open your legs, kick up and cross them to lock over the pole.
With your lush thighs riding the cool metal, you lean back and extend an arm out to the audience, gazing upside down into the pulsing darkness.
You let the pole drift back to stillness, allowing every set of eyes in the place drink in your figure, bust heaving, hair falling below you and swaying. Then you swing your upper body upwards, grasp the pole and drop your hips so your legs release out into open air and propel it all into a renewed twist.
After a moment, you plant your heels and the pole lowers with you as you sink into a narrow squat, facing away from the audience, which is by this time splitting the air with pitched screams and shouts.
You look over your shoulder with mischief in your eyes and the whole place goes ballistic.
The pole begins to rise and you move with it to stand. You let it slip along your figure, waiting until it is moving past your head to slide your arms around it and lift from the floor. It is given to look as if you’re floating on air, still twirling and giving an exquisite 360 view of your legs.
As you vanish into the loft, Din’s reverie is interrupted by a waving hand next to him.
He turns, Gorstrik is beside himself. A frenzy of other hands bat at the air, but Din’s table companion always gets first flush.
‘God damn,’ he exerts. ‘What a show. You do not get enough of that type of cream around here anymore.’
Din fights to quell the incredible urge to rip this pig’s head clean off his shoulders. He channels it all into issuing the slightest shrug he can manage. Gorstrik scoffs.
‘Suit yourself, man,’ he stands. ‘I’m getting my ass a front row seat to the encore. M’sorry, Mando you understand. Particulars can be worked out with my second here.’ He gives a vague wave to the pinch-faced twit next to him and scurries toward the elevator.
Din seethes.
Your voice crackles in his helmet, whisper quiet.
‘Staff access is on the residential side, basic hatch code to get in. Stairs, then make a left. My booth is second along.’
He makes a grouchy show of ‘only doing business with the actual boss’ before leaving the irate lieutenant at the table.
He stalks onto the street and rounds the building to the alleyway that connects the red-light district to the high-density worker housing. Spotting the door you described, he makes short work and slips inside. Climbing the stairs two at a time, he’s trying to concentrate and stop his mind wandering to all the ways this could go wrong.
Could be going wrong.
Why has he let you be alone with this scumbag. That was incredible. What if you’re not quick enough. Hells, fuck! Where had you learned that? What if… So fucking sexy. Why didn’t he just… Maker but that was incredible. He follows your directions and slaps the booth’s open panel.
The door slides across to reveal the scene. A small, velvet-lined room. One long bench against the far wall with a floor to ceiling one-way window looking out over the club floor. Your back is to the door and you’re settled in that narrow squat again, heels spiked into the floor, nimbly cuffing the unconscious Gorstrik, who is sprawled out by a drinks stand.
‘Just in time,’ you say. You peak over your shoulder at Din and slowly, agonisingly, start to rise up. Knees straighten first, keeping yourself bent at the waist. Ass on full display, the hem of your dress has ridden up to show just a hint of cheek. Finally, you lift your torso and turn toward him, something droll to say on the tip of your tongue.
You don’t get the chance. Din has kicked the door hatch closed and barrelled into you. Hands grip your waist first, pushing you back into the wall, then reach down to lift your knees to lock them at his sides. Holding you up, he paws at your ass.
‘Where’d you get this dress,’ he growls into your ear, letting you loop your arms across his shoulders and use the purchase to grind yourself against his erection.
‘Boutique in the main square,’ you mutter, eyes already closed and focused on lust. ‘Only used some of the advance.’
‘It’s obscene.’
‘Mmm, I don’t have to keep it.’ You rub the front of the dress against his chest plate, pushing your breasts into the firm pressure. ‘Could turn it to scrap for engine cleaning,’ you tease.
‘Absolutely not,’ he grinds out. He rubs at your thighs until the dress inches up, exposing your soaking panties. ‘This dress,’ he grunts. ‘This dress is for me now. You’ll wear it for me.’
‘Fuh—Fuck,’ you huff. ‘Thought you’d like it.’
‘Mmm, so fucking divine,’ he keens. He leans back a little. ‘Help me out here, love. Get this cock out for me.’
You reach a hand down and fumble with buckles and garment until you can push his pants low enough for his screaming hard on to bounce free. You immediately move your hand and tug the edge of your underwear aside.
‘Now Din,’ you moan, looking down. ‘Fuck me n— ah!’ He sheaths himself home in one go, piercing you to the wall.
Hips sitting flush, Din trembles at your tight walls stretching and fluttering around him. He lets you adjust. ‘Oh fuck, so ready for me. That performance of yours get you just as worked up as me, did it?’
Humming an affirmative, you reach up to brace your elbows on top of each pauldron, locking your hands together behind his helmet and nuzzling your face into his neck. Like this, you can tilt your hips back and forth to grind into where you two are connected, his pelvis making a perfect surface to work at your aching clit.
It’s so goddamn sensual when you use him like this.
He holds onto your ass and helps you along by lifting you up with each one of your thrusts, creating a harsher connection each time. You writhe and work yourself against him, legs shaking with effort.
‘Din, Din,’ you lift your head with a gasp. He watches your eyes screw shut and your mouth fall open to release harsh, pained puffs of air. You’re so close, he can see it. You press your face into the sharp curve of his helmet and whisper, ‘Din, tell me t--’
‘Come for me, mesh’la,’ he snarls into your ear. ‘Do it, come now.’
You cry out and smack your head back against the wall. Din loses himself in your blissed out features. In the feel of your legs spasming around him, tightening muscles drawing aching throbs out of his cock. You push your hips in tiny little circles to suck down every drop of your climax. ‘That’s it, beautiful. That’s perfect,’ he murmurs to you. ‘You’re perfect.’
Huffing harsh breaths, you open your eyes and smile at him.
He pulls out of you and takes your quivering legs from around his middle, dropping them to plant your heels on the floor. Then he pushes off the wall, spinning you to face the bench and bending you over. A heavy boot nudges at your ankles to spread them apart. He’s back inside you in one intense thrust of his cock.
This position affords you the view through the one-way window, so you’re both looking down at the bustling bar floor.
Din begins to move, barely letting any room between your bodies as he grinds hard and deep. You shuffle your feet wider to give him even more. He chokes out a groan.
‘When you were on that stage,’ he hisses from behind, hands in a bruising grip on your hips. ‘Fuck, when you were up there, everyone down there wanted you.’ He sees your head turn to roam over the crowd, you look over your shoulder again at him, eyes unfocused and lustful.
‘Oh yeah?’ you say, hands sliding a little on the bench with your movements. ‘All of them?’
‘Every. Single. One.’ He punctuates each strangled word with a harsh, deep thrust. ‘Wishing they were here now. Wishing they could have you like this, know the feel of your clenching pussy. Sucking me in so hard, can- can barely pull myself- out…’
He grips a fistful of your dress and uses the leverage to drag himself back before pistoning into you again. The obscene sounds of your slick flesh pumping against each other fill the air.
He’s so deep he can feel the pressure building within you again right as you slam your fingers hard against your clit, letting the friction of his furious thrusts carry you over the edge into another orgasm.
‘Fuuuuck,’ you both groan in unison. He loops an arm across your front and slings you up, back flush to his chest as he drives up into you. His rhythm is starting to falter, the haze of pleasure reaching toward unbearable. You know what he needs and how to bring him over the edge with you. He trusts.
‘But none of them can have me,’ you gasp. ‘Only you. Only you- know- this- pussy, Din.’ The final words are accompanied by the last few slams of his hips as he spills inside you with another strangled moan. He feels, as always, like his soul is being sucked from him and drained into you. It goes on for an age, wave on wave as you squeeze and clench around him. He finally slows.
His hand moves from your chest up to cup your face, fingers sifting through the hair at your shoulder.
As he huffs deep breaths into his helmet, you squeeze again and he gasps in near pain.
‘N-n, please mesh’la, you’re gonna kill me.’
‘Mm, sorry, thought you liked “the feel of my clenching pussy”.’
‘Oh I do, I do. Hope you let me feel it again when we’ve actually finished this job.’
‘Admit it was a great idea,’ you clench one last time and at that he withdraws from you. Groaning a raspy sigh. He turns to your captured prize.
‘Honey pot,’ he mutters. ‘Ridiculous.’
--
Din tucks himself away and bends to hoist the limp quarry over a shoulder, readying to exit.
You adjust your dress, feeling delicious as Din’s seed slides past the hem. A job well executed and a fucking great time had by all. You grin to yourself. You’re going to walk down the street with this man’s spend slicking your thighs together. It’s filthy and you love it.
--

What's annoying about the bk///dk shippers who have infiltrated the tag with their "bakugou is heartbroken and deserves better and deku should beg for forgiveness" bullshit is that these were the same people who said bakugou deserves a second chance after bullying deku for 10 years. That deku loves him too much to cut him off from his life. But one "no" from deku in 431 and they're acting like he's Satan and bakugou should cut him off from his life. The hypocrisy.
Also them writing revenge fics where baku gets with todoroki and TODOROKI of all people starts hating deku for breaking baku's heart. Lol that's his friend too...he'd be upset for both of them.
You know what's wild to me is that some shippers have already refused to accept that 431 even existed when it was just leaks when only like three pictures and a brief summary was shown but then turned around and continued to act like 431 exist with the whole "it got worse 😭" when it was revealed that Midoriya said no to just working at Katsuki's agency.
If the chapter already made you upset, then why continue to look into it?!
And conveniently decide it was worth paying attention to because Midoriya said "no"?
So you agree? So you agree that Midoriya would definitely say "no" even though you claim he wouldn't, right? You claim that 431 is "fake" and "Hori is a BkDk traitor" but then turn around and apply the "fakeness" to fics and agree to them and also being a traitor.
I know someone is going to say it. Yes, 431 has some weird writing but the responses to it is out of line.
I really hated to see BakuDeku shippers going "Deku should give back the suit" just because he talked to Ochako and dapped her up and I knew it was going to go down hill from there as always.
I immediately started unfollowing people because of it. I never thought I would be so disappointed, but I play myself because it's not like I haven't been disappointed before by the fandom and I had to unfollow people I thought I could be happy to see on my dash.
I don't think the shippers who decided that Midoriya is the worst person in the world for being a grown ass man making his own decisions actually like BakuDeku. Just their versions of it they like because no way for either character you're going to treat one character like he's evil incarnate and baby the other and have him hook up with someone close to both of them.
You're right, it's complete bullshit.
So Bakugou can get a second chance, but Midoriya can't say "no" despite that it would make sense given that he is still adjusting his schedule (keep in mind that 431 takes place possibly right after 430, so little time for Midoriya to even get used to being a Pro Hero and teacher), and would have to go back and forth between home, UA and then an agency (like did Bakugou think about that).
Bad writing or not, you can still make sense of it! If you're creative enough to write revenge fics, you're creative enough to come up with the reasons why Midoriya said "no".
It's not like their relationship is forever ruined or anything. Not like they still can't see each other. Not like they still can't be heroes together like they wanted to be!
No matter what, those two have that bond that they don't have with anybody. And who's to say? Midoriya could always change his mind. What happened to headcanons?
Oh, wait! No, apparently the headcanons some of these shippers have is that Midoriya should totally quit the job that he is happy with and just go by everything Bakugou says!
I'm sorry, but that is not the BakuDeku depiction I'm going for. Like, do they know how they sound?!
You're falling right into what antis and other haters say about the ship. By viewing it as something one-sided and unfair instead of equal.
#at this rate I'm probably gonna have just 2 or 3 moots left in mha#and like a bunch of jjk moots because at least with the ending they didn't decide that the mc was like the worst person in the world#kiya answers#bnha#mha#boku no hero academia#my hero academia#midoriya izuku#izuku midoriya#deku#bakugou katsuki#katsuki bakugou#bakudeku#bkdk#bnha manga spoilers#bnha spoilers#bnha 431#mha 431

If you have any other ideas for fanfics, my asks are open for requests! I hope you all enjoy this; it took me forever to get done, and I had an insanely hard time coming up with how I wanted this fic to turn out. The struggle was totally worth it though; this is probably one of my favorite fics I've written!

Living in Spain has been one of your biggest dreams, and you finally moved here for college abroad to work on your infuriating art major, even though you feel like you’re a little old for college now that you’re in your 30s. You’re an underground artist, and you’re just itching to get your work out there to be noticed by the public. You’re an absolute ball of sunshine, and to be fair, you’re the most energetic and outgoing person you know, but, you don’t really know too many people in Spain yet, but that’s beside the point. You really are energetic, though— almost too much. There is one thing that you’re always excited about though, no matter what— reading. Finding new books to binge-read in one sitting is always one of your favorite activities when you have free time. The library cashier is extremely tired of you coming in every week.
Javi Gutierrez, on the other hand, is the polar opposite of you. He’s a shy, new up-and-coming actor who doesn’t know what he wants to do with his life after the success of his first movie. Though fame is finding him well, much more than anticipated, he doesn’t particularly want to make another movie quite yet, now that his co-star, Nic Cage, has left Spain. Even with his newfound fame, he still enjoys going out and doing activities he enjoys, which mainly include going to the local library. He prefers reading in a library than in his own house, alone. He likes the atmosphere the library gives him, but most of all, he loves tucking himself away strategically in the corner of the library window, so he can look out and see the bustling streets of people living their everyday lives.
On a Friday afternoon, you have some free time to yourself, and you, of course, decide to head to your local library. You never go on Fridays— your typical day off is Sunday, but today was different; today was a professor work day at your college, so you had no classes or any assignments to complete, meaning you could spend your whole day reading. You walk into the library happily, as always. The smell of the ink bled into the pages of hundreds of books filled your lungs— a scent you thoroughly enjoyed. You finally pick out a new book that you’ve been eyeing, having heard good things about it online and from the people in your college.
Even though you got what you came for, you couldn’t walk into a library and buy just one book— no, you had to buy at least 5 every time you came in. After picking out your books, you waltz to the cashier, who already appeared annoyed at you being there. A strict, slightly older woman— always had an attitude, but that didn’t let you stop being your energetic, bubbly self to her. “You know, you still need to return the other 10 books, right?” she says, sternness filling her tone.
“Yeah, yeah! I know; I’ll bring them all back next time I come!” you say, smiling widely, setting the books down on the counter. The woman simply rolls her eyes at your response, knowing you’d be back in a few days and she’d have to deal with you again. After she scans the books, the woman tells you, “Your total is going to be €15.75.” €15.75… you think. You only brought €15— you sigh in response; the woman before you, never having heard that sound come out of you, and looked at you like you had 3 heads planted firmly upon your shoulders. You searched your pockets and purse but had no change.
“It’s just 75 cents. Can’t you let it pass this once?” You plead but to no avail. The woman shakes her head harshly, muttering something about ‘library rules,’ but you were too disappointed by her head shake to take care of what she said. You sigh once more— looking around the library; surely somebody would be willing to give you a dollar, right? Right?
You feel increasingly upset the longer you look through the library aisles for someone to ask until your eyes finally land on a gentleman wearing a mustard-colored shirt full of wrinkles. He was sitting in a corner, away from everything, with his legs planted on a footrest and his face hiding behind a book. You hold your finger up to the cashier, signaling for her to wait as she sighs in response. You walk up to the man, “Hey! I hate to ask you this, but I was just checking out, and I’m 75 cents short. Do you mind? It’s okay if not—” you say quickly, trying not to seem too over the top.
The man lowers his book, and a shy pink rose upon his cheeks while nodding slowly. “Um yeah, sure,” he whispers, almost inaudible, as he shifts himself in his seat and reaches into his jeans pocket for some change. He pulls a €5 bill from his pockets and raises his hand for you to take it before settling back into his seat.
You take the bill from between his fingers, grinning brightly— “Thank you so much! You’re a lifesaver,” you say, full of enthusiasm. A soft smile washes over the man’s face before nodding, his cheeks still showing a light rose color. You turn on your heel and rush back to the cashier, proudly waving your money in the air. After checking out, the cashier hands you your change, and you grab your books. Before you leave, you turn back and walk toward the man again. He seemed to have heard you coming and had lowered his book just enough to see you already standing there. “Hey again, thank you for lending me some money. Here’s the change!” you say, holding the money out to him, close enough for him to reach it. The man lowers his book into his lap, smiling softly, takes the money from your grasp, and messily pushes the money back into his jeans.
You finally catch a glimpse of the man's entire face, his curly brown hair complimenting his tanned skin and the patchy stubble on his face. You grow curious and look into the man’s lap to see what book he’s reading— and to your surprise, it’s your favorite book ever. “Oh my God,” you exclaim, a little too loud for a library, startling the man slightly and causing him to look at you. After adjusting your tone accordingly, you continue— “that’s my favorite book!”
His face lights up brightly, “Really? That’s awesome,” he enthuses, yelling in a whisper. Just for a moment, he’s brought out of his shy state. He adjusts his position again, sitting forward in his seat and removing his feet from the footrest. “I’ve loved this book since it came out,” he continues, “I’ve never met anyone else who likes it.”
“Yeah, all the books from this author are really good! I especially love this one, though,” you finish, smiling as you sit on the footrest in front of the man, hugging your new books to your chest. The man, shy once more, becomes flustered until “Hey, I was thinking of going to the coffee shop down the street. Do you wanna come with?” you say, tilting your head to the side.
The man’s eyes widened, with even more heat rising into his cheeks— another thing they had in common; coffee. “Yeah, of course,” he enthuses, breaking eye contact just enough to stand up out of his seat while grabbing his bag and placing his book inside of it, “I love that place!” he finishes as he puts the bag messily around his shoulder, looking back at you. He looks down at the books you’re holding in your arms, and as you stand up, he asks, “Do you wanna put your books in my bag? So you don’t have to hold them—” he says softly.
“Yeah, sure! Just don’t steal them for yourself,” you joke, making yourself chuckle before handing him your books. The man blushes at your words, taking the books from your hands and placing them all inside his bag. The two of you walk out of the library, and you wave to the cashier as you leave; she, of course, didn’t wave back. As the two of you walk towards the coffee shop, you get lost in conversation about your favorite books. The walk was the same distance it always was, but with the man walking with you, it felt a lot shorter than usual.
Just as you reach the shop, you stop suddenly. You hadn’t asked the man his name, nor had he asked you. “I forgot to ask, what’s your name?” you say, turning to him, smiling nervously.
“Javi,” he says, his rich, deep voice rings through your ears. A soft laugh escapes your mouth, full of nervousness as you tell the man your name, him joining your chuckles soon after. The two of you sit at one of the tables placed by a window.
The two of you gush over your newfound subjects in common— a not-so-known favorite author and coffee. What could be better? The two of you spend well over an hour hogging up the coffee table, just getting to know each other, until a worker comes and tells you that you have to leave if you aren’t going to buy anything else. The two of you are already so strung out on coffee you both know either of you doesn’t need any more in your system. “Hey, do you wanna come over to my house for a little bit?” Javi asks, “You don’t have to, obviously; I know we just met and—”
You spring your head up at his words; you’ve been having a lot of fun talking to Javi so far; what could it hurt? “Of course!” you interrupt his concerned rambling. He simply smiles in return, picking up the bag under his seat as he stands up. The two of you walk to the door of the coffee shop, “I walked here from my house, so it’s a bit of a walk—” he says, as he opens the door for you to walk out, “I hope that’s okay,” he finishes as he walks out behind you, closing the door.
“Yeah, that’s alright!” you say excitedly as the two of you start walking toward’s Javi’s house. Obviously, you don’t go to random people’s houses like this, but Javi felt— different. He felt trustworthy, considerate, and loving. You’re brought out of your thoughts while on the way there as you spot a flower field to the left of you. You stop walking to look at the view for a moment, Javi noticing almost immediately. He turns back to face you, a slight smile planted on your face. You’ve never been to this area of Spain before, and already, it’s so much more beautiful than where you currently dwell.
Javi looks for a moment at your wavy hair, lightly being blown in the sunset’s wind, the sun glowing brightly in the backdrop of you, lighting illuminating your features. As he realizes he’s been staring, he clears his throat and fixes his shirt before stepping toward you. Just as he reaches your side, you look at him. “It’s beautiful,” you declare, still looking at the field. Javi looks at you and nods, “Yeah, it is.” before turning his head to look where your eyes were fixated. Suddenly, you interlink your arm with his, tugging at him to follow you into the field. “Come on, let’s pick some flowers,” you say, excitement filling your body, with a slight red washing across your face as you unlink your arm, running your hand down to hold his, as you turn around to face him while walking backward as laughter fills the air. Javi blushes at the sight of you for what seems like the millionth time today— as you two reach relatively far from the path you were previously walking, you let go of Javi’s hand, your body missing his touch.
You bend down near a patch of red carnations, picking a flower and lifting it to your nose, smelling the sweet yet subtle clove-like scent and letting it fill your body, making you feel warm inside. You stand back up and turn around to see Javi standing behind you, hands in his pockets with the corners of his lips upturned softly, causing gentle wrinkles to form around his dark-colored eyes. You walk up to him and place the flower behind his ear, letting his soft curls hug around the stem to hold it in place— light pink creeps up his neck and onto his cheeks once more.
You giggle at his face, full of awe— you break your gaze from his kind face enough to look up into the sky, causing Javi to do the same. You notice it’s getting late, and just as you’re about to say you should get going to Javi’s house, he speaks, “It’s getting late; we should hurry before it gets too dark,” his deep voice with his rich accent echoing through your ears as if honey had a sound— making your cheeks flush.
You simply nod in agreement while holding your hand out for him to take it. He has to look back between your hand and your face a few times before finally taking it in his own, making a few soft chuckles escape your mouth, causing him to do so too. After about 20 minutes of walking, the bright orange rays shining behind you slowly disappear until finally reaching it’s end, and the lightness of the moon begins peeking out from the horizon. The two of you reach Javi’s home, and God— was it beautiful. You wouldn’t admit it, but you felt slightly jealous while walking into his pristine villa home when you’re reminded of your small college dorm.
“Do you want a drink or anything?” he asks, breaking the non-awkward silence the two of you had throughout your walk.
“Sure! Water’s fine,” you reply happily, looking at all of the knick-knacks Javi had littered throughout his home. Javi returns with your water in hand, nearly running to get back to you.
After handing it to you, he speaks up, “Do you wanna go sit on the couch— or?” he says, his voice laced with a sort of sweetness that makes your body tingle. You nod in response, taking a sip from your water. Javi guides you to his living room; the large room before you opens up as he turns on moody, orange lights that remind you of the sunset you saw a mere hour ago. It feels homey— welcoming, and warm. Something you don’t experience at your own college house. Javi walks over to the couch, covered in soft blankets and a few pillows, and kicks his feet up on the coffee table. You follow closely behind, sitting close to him, your knees almost brushing against each other as you sink into your seat.
Javi hums as if he’s forgotten something essential and stands up without saying anything. He disappears into the other room, leaving you there. After a few moments, he returns— an old worn book in his hands. “This is one of my favorite books,” he says, sitting back down next to you, “I want you to read it,” he finishes softly, looking at you while motioning for you to take it. You oblige— surprisingly, it’s a book you’ve never read, so of course, you’d be willing. You open the book to the first page, glancing at it, then turning over a few pages before running your fingers through each and every page, noticing messily written notes and scribbles written out into the worn margins. You absolutely adore annotated books, and it’s one of your favorite pastimes, besides actually reading the book in the first place.
You let a few chuckles escape your mouth as you look up to see Javi’s relieved expression grow on his face after your silence. You reach over to hug him quickly, causing him to laugh too, his hand resting on your upper back. You pull away, returning your attention to the book, positioning yourself cross-legged before him, sinking into your seat even more. “Can I read it now?” you ask, smiling, still not looking at him but skimming the first page's notes.
“Of course,” he says simply, smiling. You start reading immediately— resting your head on the side of the couch. You point out a few rather silly remarks he’s written down on the first page, causing you both to giggle. You spend well over an hour just reading the pages of the book, occasionally engaging in a conversation about what you’re reading, Javi being just as fascinated with it as you are, if not more which makes you chuckle. After a while, a “Can I lay my head on your lap?” escapes your mouth, looking at Javi for consent. He nods as his face heats up, and you lay down, the book above your face, as you two still talk about the notes he’s made and the careless actions the main character makes in the book.
About halfway through the book, you hear Javi’s stomach grumble something mean, causing you to laugh. “You hungry?” you ask sarcastically, looking at him, letting a few more chuckles escape your mouth. You receive a nod as he joins in on your laughter, a slight tint of embarrassment hidden within as he hides his face behind his hands. You lift your head off his lap, setting the book down on the couch, not leaving the page you left off on. “You should eat,” you say softly.
“Yeah,” he pauses, thinking. “Do you want some cake? That’s what I’m going to have,” he finishes, looking over at you, eyes glistening in the light’s warm tones that fill the room.
You smile, “That sound’s perfect!” you say, nodding. He stands up, whispering a quiet ‘okay’ sound before disappearing into the other room once more before returning a few minutes later with two plates, each with red velvet cake and a napkin on each. You let out a small squeak at the sight, making your mouth water slightly at the richly flavored cake. As you two are eating, Javi finishes rather quickly, and you notice frosting on his face he doesn’t seem to notice. You pick up your napkin to wipe it off, his cheeks turning visibly red, as does yours, the both of you gigging.
Once you finish your cake, you set both plates down on the coffee table, along with the book, and lay your head back down on his lap. “Wanna watch some TV?” you ask, looking up at his face and into his eyes as he meets yours.
“Sure thing,” he says, nodding while looking down at your face before reaching for the remote to turn on the TV. After an hour of watching the show, you fall asleep, head still resting in his lap. He notices shortly after when he hears the soft snores that escape your mouth, which is slightly agape. He smiles at the sight, lowering his hand down to brush some of the hair out of your face. He feels your cold skin and grabs the blanket from behind you that was messily thrown over the couch’s back, and lays it over your body, causing you to stir slightly in your sleep. He lowers the volume of the TV so as to not wake you up.
Shortly after, he looks down at your sleeping state, whispering a light "Goodnight, hermosa (beautiful)," before he leans back onto the couch deeper, sighing contently, before falling asleep for the night, with you in a deep sleep on his lap.

WOLFSTAR X READER SERIES
Gilded Constellations | THE INTERLUDE Part 2
Summary: You meet Sirius and Regulus at a family vacation in the Caribbean, but things don't go as planned and you end up losing contact once the trip is over. Years later your family moves to England and you get accepted at Hogwarts where you finally see Sirius once again, along with all of his friends. One of them with a mysterious secret, that you'll uncover as you embark on your own Hogwarts adventure. Mostly canon-compliant. This IS a wolfstar x reader fic, but it's incredibly slow burn. They won't start all dating each other until we're very deep into the story, but I promise the long wait will be worth it.
Series Masterlist | Previous episode | The first Interlude
You guys know I wanted to make another interlude, but upon lack of time, and because I don't want to have you wait another week to read the next chapter (darling @aremuslupinsimp for sure needs someone to vent about the absolute rollercoaster of emotions that it is) I've decided to make it a WEEKL-LONG EVENT!
But Lilly, What does that mean? It means you can send as many questions as you might have and I'll try to address all of them within the week. Including anything related to last week, this week's, and the next week's chapter (although I will not spoil that one).
Adding a few questions here, just as a start:
Have you always known where the story is going or have you kind of figured it out along the way? do you have the ending planned?
Hey love! I do have a base idea of where GC is going. I've had these big plot points thought out from the very beginning to the part where they all start dating. Having said that, a lot of things that happen in the story, and that are in between those points, are just me letting my imagination soar, and a lot of those chapters end up being some of my favourites.
I wanted to end the story either before they end school or before 1981, but now that I've gotten so attached to the characters, I've honestly thought of writing past that, and "fixing" some of the things that happen in canon. But who knows, that's like a whole other fic just on how much plot it would have.
SoIi can’t really remeber if the ‘prank’ that Sirius pulled on Snape had already happened in Gilded Constellations, if it hasn’t will it be happening or will it just get skipped over?
It's happened already (in 5th year). That's the reason Snape is weary about leaving Vixen in the Shack in "Bad Moon Rising". He knew she would be in danger because there was a werewolf inside. He couldn't say anything to them because of the young twisting charm Dumbledore put on him, and he's never been brave enough to stand up to the other Slytherins, so he went straight to Lily and told her Vix was in danger.
That's why Lily knew about Vixen being in danger when Sirius showed up with a fox in his hands and was livid about it.
Tu penses prévoir combien de chapitre pour GC si tu sais sinon si tu sais pas une estimation de chapitre que tu aimerais écrire pour GC ?
I'm terrible with estimations, originally it was going to be a short 5 chapter-long series. And then I wanted to end it at thirty, and then at forty. So far I've written 55 chapters, but I'm thinking of ending before chapter 70. (That's IF I don't get carried away).
Do we get to know if Sirus ever got that necklace back from the first few chapters?
Oh, the necklace is still on Vix's neck and it's going to be HUGE in the next couple of chapters. I've been building on is for a while and I'm really excited about it finally happening.
How is it going with Remus' and reader's fireworms?
They are amazing! They've implemented a whole system that helps them get fed automatically. They're probably going to ace that test.
Are we seeing more to Nina?
Definitely.
After they come back from winter break will the study group start again?
I mean, there're going to be a LOT of things happening after the Winter Break, but I assume yes. Also the reading club, the reading club is going to happen.
How long do we have to wait 'till Remus, Reader and Sirius go out?
I think I'm about one or two chapters away from writing that, but I'm a few chapters ahead. But it's waaay less than before.
Does Nina have a little crush on Reader or is it just me?
I mean, there's a reason why the ribbon she tied on her quidditch gear was enough to defend Vix from Barty's spell. And why, more than once, Nina's love has proven to be a strong protective spell over the reader.
Are we getting more lessons like some of the first chapters?
Yup, not very soon, since the next few chapters will all be happening over the winter break, but once they're back in school, certainly.
Further questions will be answered directly on asks as they come.
I'm really excited about the questions I might get, also a bit terrified about the questions I'll get after Chapter 44, but of well, the show must go on.
Love ya lots, Lils xx

Hii, hello! :)
I'm new to all of this, and I would like to write myself!
And I wanted to ask for advice! What inspires you to write, I've been struggling with having motivation to write (-_-;).
Hello, my dear!
Wow, that's a tough question ^3^
I started writing for real about five years ago and sometimes I still feel like it's the first time.
To be honest, I'm quite deluded, the kind of person who daydreams. Some ideas just come to me, others end up being inspired by scenes from movies, series, books, etc.
Pinterest certainly helps me when it comes to creating a plot. I usually browse through it and some photos catch my eye and suddenly I'm already creating a whole story.
That's what happened with Strawberry Kisses, I saw this photo and thought: my God, I need to write about this!

And it also happened with Colors That Speak, you know? I saw a picture of someone's arm scribbled on it and the idea just came to me. And of course, the colors in Tangled, I love that movie.
Other times I get inspired by things that happened to me, like in Rush Hour - although what happened to me was much less romantic lmao
And of course, music helps a lot too!
Try to consume media, something that you like, that makes butterflies appear in your stomach. And most importantly, take care of your mind! That's the most important thing.
Starting writing is the hardest part for me. The first and last sentences are especially challenging, I always feel like I haven't done anything decent. As well as titles - ugh, titles - and synopses. It's scary how hard I have to do summaries, that's why I just put a piece of the fic as a synopsis.
And then comes the part of making the structure of the story. Sometimes I just go into hyperfocus and end up writing from beginning to end without stopping, but other times I do the three-act structure - although sometimes things go a different way, it's like the characters come to life and make their own choices.
I think that's it. Everyone is different, so try whatever you want until you find something that works for you.
And try to write. I know it's hard, but I promise it's worth it. Don't let it become a burden, writing should be fun! Don't overthink it, I know how insecure can be a bitch sometimes, but don't let it have its say, trust yourself - because yes, I certainly trust you
Please feel free to message me. I may not have the best advice, but I promise I'm a great listener.
And I'm honored that you trusted me with this ask, I hope I helped in some way <3333

Happy 2025, y'all! 2024 was year 2 of me attempting to get my writing groove back after several years of struggle. Stucky is still going strong as inspiration, and community events, bangs, and bingos were a game changer for me. Having prompts, a deadline to work towards, and other people to cheer with while writing helped me tremendously, in terms of staying on track and staying motivated. I am grateful to everyone who puts those events together, participates, reads & cheerleads, and makes the Stucky community so active and lovely. Cheers to you!!
In 2024, I wrote...
1. 5 Times Bucky Tricked Steve Into Washing His Hair +1 Time He Didn’t Have To Ask
My first ever 5+1, and my first time writing a story in Bucky's POV.
Rating: E
Word Count: 34,886
Summary: During the worst of his recovery, Steve used to wash Bucky’s hair for him. Now, Bucky is a semi-stable hundred year old man who can bathe all by himself… but he misses Steve washing his hair for him. Asking for it? Out of the question. Lies, subterfuge, and expertly crafted machinations to manipulate Steve’s big, soapy hands right where he wants them? Much more Bucky’s style.
2. The Things That Unlocked Him
A kinky, completely deranged romcom.
Rating: E
Word Count: 143,287
Summary: Steve has one magical night with his perfect dream man: a strong and silent beefcake who submits to him beautifully during a group scene at a local club. But the guy vanishes in a rush as soon as they're done. Wistful, Steve thinks he will never see him again.
It's less magical when the guy starts stalking him, following him around, lurking in weird places, and bringing him some truly strange gifts.
Turns out, the Winter Soldier is pretty bad at modern romance, and he’s in desperate need of another session with his new favorite dom.
3. Zoomies
The Bucky & Rocket Raccoon friendship team-up I didn't know I needed.
Rating: T
Word Count: 10,169
Summary: “Listen, a few times a year, a talking, sentient alien raccoon breaks into my house, steals my arm, and makes me play hide and seek with him all around the world. That's funny. That's objectively fuckin’ hilarious. The day I can't laugh about that is the day you should put me back in a cryo tube, ‘cause something snapped and I'm the Winter Soldier again.”
Bucky shares a weird hobby with an unexpected friend.
(And this one is cheating a bit, but...)
4. An Apple A Day
I posted the first chunk of this on January 1st, 2025. But I wrote the whole thing in 2024!! So I'm counting it. This one is a pure fluff meet-cute, all sweet-no tart (but lots of spice.)
Rating: E
Word Count: 48,000
Summary: Fresh out of the ice, Steve makes a trip to the farmer's market and finds a few simple things worth living in the future for. Namely: apples, and the hot guy selling them.
What's coming up in 2025?
A few things already in progress! Firstly, I need to finish editing the Apple fic (and maybe re-write the last chapter... I think it needs a smidge more smut lol). That will be done and posted within the next few days.
And then, I'll be focused on my 2 Marvel Trumps Hate fills for at least the first half of the year! One, I am plotting-messy drafting, the other I am still plotting and brainstorming. I don't want to give away too much just yet, but I am so excited for both of these Stucky stories. One is a Sarah Rogers story set in the 30's--her standing up in her own ways, as she lives the example that helps Steve become the man he eventually becomes. I'm trying to get the historical setting and details right, and to bring this character to life in a way that feels fresh and real. The themes in this one are both personal and political, and I'm trying to strike the right tone with them, too. And the other fic is a CA:TWS au. Still in brainstorming stages right now, and I don't know what else to say other than... bonkers. If I can pull it off, it's gonna be bonkers. Wish me luck.
Thanks for reading and writing and creating and hanging out with me this past year!! I love being able to write and share these stories and talk about our favorite fellas with all of you.

Halo fic masterlist ⭐
"So, what's the plan?"
You looked over as ODST Jerry fell into step with you. "Plan?"
"You know, for when your Spartan honey gets back from extended deploy."
Your I'm thinking over my options face clearly looked a lot like your I'm completely at a loss face. Wait, now that you thought about it, they really were one and the same in this case.
"Come on, man, you need a plan," he bemoaned. "You can't just try to wing it with a Spartan. Not a Spartan. She's worth the time, the effort, the thought, the whole thing. Don't you worry, though. Jerry's got you covered. Give me a few hours and I'll be back with some options."
He strode away with great purpose, leaving you staring after him, a bit flummoxed at having somehow gained an ODST Fairy Godfather.
All considering, though, you could definitely use a little of that "feet first" attitude when it came to dating.
You were on your way to the mess for lunch when, as if by magic, Jerry appeared next to you once more.
"I've been going over the options, running the numbers, all that," he began without preamble. "You know that big amusement park that opened a few weeks ago, tallest roller-coaster on Reach, guaranteed thrills for all?"
"That's where I should take-?"
"You should absolutely not take her there. Think about it, she can jump from orbit without so much as a pod! How exciting is some plain ol' roller-coaster going to be to somebody who can orbital jump in just her armor?"
You nodded slightly, conceding the point.
"Same thing with the games. Punch a bag to show your strength? She can punch the whole machine onto the next continent. Hit a target? She's a sniper, my man. Even with the lousy 'guns' they use for those things, I'd bet you a whole year's salary that she'd make every shot. That's no fun for her. She'll want to be challenged, she'll want excitement! You've got to give her something she's not going to get any other way or why would she bother, right?"
You went from nodding to shaking your head to finally just doing a circle with your chin. "But I'm not that exciting," you said. "That's going to be impossible."
Jerry whipped out his padd. "I made some notes," he said and flipped it around so you could read the screen.
You leaned down a bit, squinting at the print. "Um, you know I couldn't survive that one, right? And I'm just straight-up not doing that one, that one or that one," you said, pointing at the corresponding bullet points.
"If you're worried about where to find a marching band, don't sweat it. I know a guy," he said confidently. "I can even convince him to throw in the venomous carnivores for free."
"I don't know," you said with a slight grimace. "None of this is my style."
"Really? Not even number 15?"
"Yeah, I'm definitely not doing battlefield karaoke. Besides, where would I find an Elite who could sing?"
"I know a guy," he repeated even more confidently.
"Maybe some other time. But thanks."
He waggled a finger at you. "I'm not going to give up on you, buddy. Not after you opened my eyes to the wonders of yoga."
"Are you feeling more centered and enlightened?"
"Eh, that, too," he said. "But I'm going to make sure that you show that Spartan the time of her life, even if it kills us both, don't you worry!"
He gave your shoulder a friendly punch and disappeared into the crowd before you could respond.
You were on an early shift today, so you decided to do some recon in the city. There were a few fancy restaurants there, would Kai like something like that? There were also movie theaters, some quite elaborate. That movie in the park you'd been about to see before the emergency deploy, she'd said she liked it, so was it playing somewhere? She might like the chance to see it in a more elegant setting. Or what about live performances? Did she like plays? Musicals?
You realized you had no idea about her taste in music or entertainment. Or food. Or pretty much anything important, the more you thought about it.
Frustrated, you let your feet carry you out of the city into the outskirts. There was one place you could go to clear your mind for a while. Maybe some fantastic, Spartan-worthy idea would come to you, then?
Not long into throwing balls for the pack of rescue dogs, you'd gotten the feeling you were being watched. Surreptitiously, you'd scanned the wooded area beyond the fenced-in yard but couldn't spot anything suspicious. Even after casually checking out the buildings of the animal sanctuary behind you, you didn't spot anybody watching you from a window or around a corner. Often, some of the other volunteers would gather to watch you playing with the dogs but you really didn't know why.
Deborah, one of the other volunteers, approached after a while, calling your name in greeting. "Want a break? I'll take a turn if you want to go visit your best girl. She's in her usual place."
"Sure, thanks," you said, tossing the ball to her and giving the dogs still clustered around you fond scratches. You headed back to where you'd left your shirt hanging on the porch railing but it was warm enough you'd worked up a light sweat, so you left it off. You found a place in the shade on the ground next to the steps to sit, letting your hand turn palm upwards on the grass.
You caught a glint of eyes beneath the steps but didn't say anything, knowing it was better to wait.
It didn't take nearly as along as it once had before there was movement from the corner of your vision. You still didn't react, keeping your gaze forward, but when a slightly cold, damp nose skimmed your palm, your mouth twitched.
It wasn't until the furry body sat next to you, close enough for the wiry fur to brush your arm, did you look at the small, gray dog. "And how are you today, Gigi?" you asked very softly.
You moved your hand up onto your lap and waited until she shifted to lean against your leg before slowly and gently petting her back. She sat there stiffly for a few more seconds, then finally sighed and laid down with her head propped onto your thigh.
"You know, you're welcome to play ball with the rest of them," you suggested and she rolled her dark eyes to look skeptically at you. "Or not," you concluded.
You both watched Deborah and the rest of the dogs for a while, then Gigi abruptly tensed and darted back under the steps a heartbeat before you heard the crunch of footsteps.
"Hey, marine," Kai said as she came around the corner of the building, dressed in dark civvies, the streak of red in her hair barely peeking out from under her black knit cap with the tear on the edge. "Got room for one more?"
You were on your feet and striding towards her before you even realized it. Halfway there, you realized you didn't know what you were going to do when you got there but fortunately, she didn't have the same problem.
As soon as you were within reach, she grabbed you into a massive embrace. For a long moment, you just closed your eyes and held onto her.
"When'd you get back?" you finally asked into her muscular shoulder.
"Couple of hours ago. Been in debrief for ages. Though poor Chief is still there, so guess I shouldn't complain."
"You all right? No casualties?"
"Silver's in one piece," she said which wasn't really an answer but you figured that was all she could say.
When you leaned back, you expected her to let you go but instead she shifted her hold so to touch your face.
"I'm glad to see you," she said, her tone husky.
"Yeah. Yeah, me, too," you stammered out, feeling tongue-tied.
And then she kissed you and, in addition to feeling bereft of words, you had your breath stolen as well.
You heard a faint growl come from under the porch and Kai released you, murmuring, "So, who's your friend down there? They sound like they're considering biting my ankle."
It took a few blinks before your brain resumed functioning again. "That's Gigi," you said. "She's had a rough go of it, doesn't trust very easily. Usually she wouldn't call attention to herself like that, though."
"She must like you, then," she said with a slight smile, "considering that she's warning me to back off."
You turned, finding that Gigi actually had her head poked out from under the porch, her lips curled and showing teeth. "That's not very nice," you admonished in a gentle tone. "You're both Spartans, you should stick together."
Gigi gave a displeased barky growl at that and vanished into the shadows once more.
"She's a Spartan, huh?" Kai remarked, biting her lip as if to restrain a grin.
"Well, she came to the sanctuary already answering to Gigi so they didn't want to change it," you explained. "So, I told her that it was short for Gorgo, you know, the Spartan queen? I thought she should have a strong name, something to give her courage when she needs it."
Kai looked at you as if you were too precious to be real. "I like it," she said. "Well, Queen Gorgo Gigi would be a welcome part of Silver Team, if she ever feels like joining."
"One day," you said. "Or at least I hope one day that she'll feel safe enough to come out and play ball."
"You'll get her there," she said confidently.
"You think so?"
"Yeah," she said with an encouraging nod. "You're good with her, I can tell. She trusted you enough to come out from her hiding place and sit with you. That's a big deal."
You arched an eyebrow. "How did you know that? Can Spartans see around corners now?"
It was her turn to look a bit sheepish. "I saw from the woods." She jutted her chin in a direction across the yard through the fence. "I, um, might've been watching you running around, playing ball."
"Why?"
She gave a huffing laugh. "Probably for the same reason why you watch me do my deadlift routine."
"Because it's an impressive display of strength and agility?"
She waggled her hand to indicate you were close.
You thought it over for a second. "Because you're hot?"
She did an on the nose gesture. "You didn't answer me before: you got room for one more or do you think it'll upset Gigi if I sit in her space?"
You glanced back as if the small dog would offer a comment. Her eyes glittered in the darkness, which told you she hadn't completely withdrawn. "I think it'll be all right," you finally surmised. "If she seems to get distressed, we can move."
Kai nodded and the both of you took a place on the ground with you the closest to the steps. You sat there in companionable silence for a while, watching Deborah throwing the ball to the pack of dogs.
Eventually, Deborah came your way, gesturing to Kai. "Want to take a turn? They've about run me out but I'd like to give them a little while longer to play."
Kai bounded to her feet. "Sure," she said eagerly. "Just… throw the ball for them?"
"Just throw the ball," the other woman confirmed.
Though you had no doubt that Kai could've thrown it three days' drive away even for the speediest Mongoose, she tempered her strength to mimic approximately how Deborah had been throwing it. Soon, she was laughing at the antics of the pack as they raced around. You noticed that she would also deliberately throw the ball to some of the smaller or slower dogs, giving them their turn as well.
She also paid attention to when they began showing signs of being tired. "Should I let them rest now?" she asked.
Deborah had found a place in the shade to sit far enough away that Gigi didn't withdraw further. At Kai's question, she pushed to her feet. "Yeah, they seem good. I think they'll all have solid naps now, thanks."
Then, as Kai approached and gave her back the ball, she went on, "We're always looking for people for play time like this, or even just feeding and filling water bowls. If you'd ever like to spend more time with them, please feel welcome. I know they'd love it."
"Thanks," Kai said with a broad smile. "I'd love it, too."
"You'll make sure she gets in?" you asked, inclining your head towards the little gray dog under the porch.
Deborah gave a wry smile. "Don't worry, I'll make sure she gets that spot she likes tucked away in the linen closet."
You turned to Kai and gestured for her to proceed.
"You don't tell Gigi goodbye?" she asked, arching a brow curiously.
"Gigi doesn't believe in goodbyes," you returned, partially because you thought it would make her smile.
The toothy grin she gave you went straight to the center of your chest. "Something else we have in common, then."
The walk back into the city was much more pleasant now that Kai was at your side. She couldn't tell you much about the mission Silver Team had been on but that was all right with you.
After she told you that she hadn't had time to grab anything to eat, you diverted your course to find the little out of the way diner you often frequented when off-duty.
As it turned out, Kai had never before had the chance to discover the wonders of the classic hamburger. The elderly owners were quick to ply her with every conceivable variation they could concoct.
Kai's enthusiasm was contagious and her appetite was indeed Spartan-sized. In the time it took you to eat three generously sized burgers, she'd gone through perhaps a dozen. The happiness radiating from her made it difficult for you to not grin like a fool.
She waved them off when they offered to grill up another. "I'm stuffed," she demurred. "Couldn't possibly fit in another bite."
"But," the silver-haired woman asked, "what about dessert? Do you like pie?"
"Pie?" she asked, her tone perking up. And, as it turned out, yes, she did.
When you requested the bill, Kai snatched it off the table in a move so fast you didn't even see a blur of motion.
"My treat," she said. "You can pay for the next date."
Her casual choice of words surprised you. Once you were outside, having promised the owners that you'd come back soon, you fell in line beside her.
"Was this a date?" you finally asked.
"It was to me," she said with a tiny smile and threaded her fingers through yours. "It was actually the most perfect date I could've imagined."
For a moment, you couldn't seem to remember what words were. Then you cleared your throat and said, "I have something for you."
"Did you knit me a gun cozy?" she asked eagerly.
You gave what you hoped was a mysterious smile. In truth, you probably just looked besotted. That was okay, though, because it inspired her to kiss you again.
Kai had remained outside of the marine barracks as you went in to retrieve her present. As you joined her, you noted about a dozen ODSTs and marines lurking none-too-stealthily nearby. One of the privates took a step in your direction and, from out of nowhere, ODST Jerry intercepted him, steering him back into the crowd.
He gave you a covert thumb's up, then disappeared again.
You'd thought you'd done a decent job wrapping the present in plain gray paper, tied with a silver ribbon, but when you actually saw it in her hands, you couldn't help but notice how it looked like a lumpy mess.
You should've put it in a box and had somebody professional do the wrapping. It was too late now, of course, but as she stood just looking at it, you wondered if you should offer to take it back and try again.
But then she glanced up at you and her eyes shone with a surprisingly wet sheen. "Thank you," she said quietly. "I love it."
"But you haven't even seen it," you protested mildly.
"Don't have to. I love it already."
You would've expected her to tear through the paper in a split-second but instead she carefully slid the ribbon free, then undid each seam with careful precision. It was almost as if she had never been given a--
The thought hit you as if you'd walked straight into a wall.
Then the thought made you want to punch the wall. She had never been given a wrapped present before.
It was a good thing she was preoccupied with the wrapping paper because you'd never been that great at concealing your feelings, especially when something made you see red. Scuttlebutt about how Dr. Halsey had treated the Spartans had never been particularly kind but you suddenly had an inkling of just how very unkind the treatment had been. Spartans weren't unthinking, unfeeling machines, no matter what anyone had ever said. It was true that they seemed more… animated since Dr. Keyes had taken over the program but maybe that was merely because she was allowing them to be?
It was all way above your pay grade but your feelings for Kai—
Okay, yeah, you had to admit it at least to yourself: you had feelings for her. Pretending to be in a relationship had been only been pretend for you at the very start. Kai was easy to care about, easy to admire, easy to want to be around.
The kissing was also a fantastic perk to the pretending, of course, but even if that had never been a thing, you would've still wanted to spend time with her.
As she undid the final piece of tape, she glanced up at you again and whatever she saw this time made her straighten. "You okay?" she asked.
"Sure." Your attempt to clear all of those feelings off your face was obviously an abject failure, so you went with it. "Hoping you like your gifts."
"There's more than one in here?"
"Finish opening and find out."
She slowly peeled the paper back, as if loathe to have the experience end. Oh, you were definitely getting her more wrapped presents, ASAP.
"I noticed yours was torn," you said as she gently lifted up the black knit cap from the rest of the bundle.
She made a surprisingly squeaky sound as she turned it and the metallic thread of the embroidery along the wide brim caught the light. "Is this my sniper? And a Needler? A MA5C? These are all my favorite weapons!"
"I know," you returned, then grinned as she actually spun in an excited circle.
She yanked off her old cap and put the new one on with reverence. "I just wish I could wear it and look at it at the same time," she said and you gestured at the package she still held in her hands.
She lifted the scarf out next, making another squeaky sound as she took in the matching embroidered pattern across both ends. After throwing it around her neck, she looked at you, this time with heat. "Would you want to come back to my room so I can model these for you?"
You stared quizzically at her, about to point out that she was modeling them, wasn't she?
But before you could speak, she leaned in closer to murmur, "So I can model only these for you?"
You blinked. It took two tries but finally you got out a heartfelt, "Ma'am, yes, ma'am."
As she grabbed your hand and pulled you away, you passed ODST Jerry now in the middle of the group of rapt onlookers.
"I taught him everything he knows," he was saying with a proud sniff. "Now, c'mon, everybody pay up. Yeah, and maybe if you're lucky, ol' Jerry here will help you make a Spartan love connection, too."

MAD World
AO3
Fandom: Batman
Featured Characters: Barbara Gordon
Wordcount: 5100
Summary:
When Barbara Gordon ends up temporarily stranded on an alternate earth, she can't help but start to poke at all the secrets that it holds. With Bruce Wayne on the run, Nightwing and Robin out of the game, and the Joker dead, the Gotham she's in is a far cry from her own, and the secrets she finds might end up concealing far more than she ever anticipated.
The third and final of the the fics I have written for the MAD Universe (Also the first one I actually completed funnily enough...) Probably not the last fic I'm going to write for this universe though since I still have a couple ideas rattling around in my head.
This fic was written because Barbara deserves the chance to go to another universe and flex her detective skills.
Excerpt:
That was the last time Barbara ever agreed to do a favor for Tim. Just come over real quick, he’d said. I need a second opinion on this weird piece of technology, he’d said. It’s off, he’d said. Well, judging by the brilliant flash of light that had left her in a distinctly abandoned building, that had not been the case. A visit to the nearest library confirmed what she suspected: whatever Gotham she was in, it wasn’t the one she knew. She was stranded on another earth.
Barbara closed out of the news sites she had open with a sigh. Tim owed her big-time for this. The only reason she wasn’t plotting revenge at the moment was that she was pretty sure that it was temporary. According to the files he’d sent over while requesting her help, everyone who’d been affected by the device’s power had returned on their own within 5-7 days. Barbara could accept a week away from her Gotham. If she was stranded here for any longer than that though? Robin had better start running or groveling pretty quickly.
Until then, there were practical matters to take care of. Barbara pulled up a new window. It was simple to… liberate some funds for her use from someone who neither needed nor deserved them. Whipping up enough of a paper trail that her existence would hold up at a glance went quickly as well. From there, she went about securing some personal technology and a place to say. It wasn’t nearly as good as the setup she had at home, but that couldn’t be helped. Now all that she needed to do was kill time until she made it back. She could think of it as a vacation.
—
The thing was: Barbara Gordon never had been very good at taking vacations. She made it all of an afternoon trying to relax before giving up and pulling out her new laptop.
The other thing about Barbara Gordon was that she could never leave anything well enough alone. She had to know. And here was a whole new earth’s worth of secrets to uncover.
Some cursory research revealed that on the whole, the earth she was stranded on was remarkably similar to the one she’d left behind. Most major events and near-apocalypses seemed to happen at around roughly the same times. Sure there were some minor differences in timing (the quake had hit Gotham about a week earlier) and which cities were wiped off the face of the map (Blüdhaven was still standing; Salt Lake City had been annexed into Hell and was now a smoking crater). But on the whole there was no evil Justice League or any alien overlords, so really, Barbara could have far worse places to be stuck in for a week.
The basics taken care of, she began to dig deeper into Gotham: her home turf. Some cursory digging revealed the following information:
Oracle: Active and running the Birds of Prey. Barbara left her alone for now even though it would be oh so tempting to measure her skills against herself. (It would be such an appealing challenge. However, she was aware enough to realize that that was inching towards supervillainy.)
Batman: Active. He appeared to be wanted by the GCPD though for reasons that weren’t obviously clear. She’d bet it probably had to do with him being an ass. Also, for some reason, Bruce Wayne had never been cleared of Vesper Fairchild’s murder. Speculation put his location somewhere in Santa Prisca or some other country without a US extradition treaty.
Clearly, Batman was failing on multiple fronts here. Unsurprising. Barbara moved on to the next name on her list.
Robin: Inactive, as far as she could tell. She couldn’t find any recent sightings of him, either online or in the files she could hack into without alerting this earth’s Oracle. She was able to track Tim Drake’s location down to a boarding school in Virginia, but there were no signs of Robin in that area either.
Nightwing: Unknown, also likely inactive. He’d vanished just as much as Robin had, only more so. She could barely find any record of Richard Grayson from any earlier than a couple years ago.
Batgirl: Active. Rarely seen working with Batman surprisingly, but she was spotted much more with the Birds of Prey.
Huntress: Active. Still working with the Birds of Prey, still a Justice League reserve member. Little change there.
Spoiler: Alive and active surprisingly. It appeared that the city-wide gang war that had engulfed Gotham hadn’t happened on this earth. There was no record of her ever becoming Robin, but she was spotted working with the Birds of Prey on occasion.
Azrael: Still dead, unfortunately.
And then, because Barbara was the sort of person who kept an eye on her enemies as well as her allies, she found the most interesting piece of information of them all:
The Joker: Dead.

Pick 2 in every section except Canon Muses and Fandoms (pick 1 from those) :3
Questions for the mun
this is long so imma cut it lol
BASICS x2 What caused you to start writing? What was your key point?
in 3rd grade we watched the cartoon movie version of the legend of sleepy hollow and had an assignment to write a summary of it. i was barely out of ESL at the time but thought it was a neat assignment (and prided myself on my memory for details) so i hecking did my best and wrote a long detailed one (with pictures because it was elementary school and you could illustrate your stuff) and for some reason my teacher and the principal were all happy about it and made a big deal complete with ceremony and applause and made me feel important and cool.
after that i was like "yeah! that was awesome. can't i write more stories like that even outside of school?" and thus it kicked off my journaling obsession besides writing diaries of my daily life. i did a lot of original fics and sailor moon/digimon-inspired stuff but when i found ff.net it was like discovering a whole new world where you could control the characters to do whatever you wanted (while staying IC, cause that was definitely part of the "rules" of the challenge) and that was amazing.
realizing writing meant i could take destiny into my own hands for these made-up blorbos was such a fun power trip. i have tried to use that power responsibly ever since.
Do you still write your first muse?
dahlia hawthorne was my first real muse on tumblr and i poke her now and then, but she seems content in her semi-retirement in my brain. sometimes she wakes up to snark people but she's enjoying her vacation in peace right now : )
CANON MUSES x1
Have you ever written a canon muse that you first thought of ‘meh’ when they appeared in their canon show/movie/book?
don't shoot me but before i wrote yagen toushirou for touken ranbu i was like "yeah yeah okay this is just a standard big brother x cool doctor type trope," i actually didn't even pick him up until i wanted to try someone new and my other friends (playing other swordboys at the time) suggested him
then i had to research him and really fell in love with the dichotomy of his character, about how he's very human with his brothers but also 100% a weapon and embraces that fact, about the juxtaposition of DUTY vs. FEELING and the HUMAN HEART vs. OBJECT/TOOL he's been balancing all his life on a very fine line (and does flawlessly, because he's yagen) and i was like, heck! this is gonna be so fun to RP and make him deal with stuff
tho most of the time i got into crack threads again and shipping with Fudou it was still very very fulfilling and im glad my friends convinced me to try him out :D
OCs x2
Do you have developed dynamics with the OC of another mun that has influenced your OC or Canon muse?
yeah I mean this guy wouldn't exist without Jade's Klaus u know? his template might've been taken from his faceclaim guy but the rest of him i molded to fit Jade's OC, specifically his personality and to an extent his looks. in some ways Klaus has everything Aurelius lacks and vice versa, they have this classic balancing scales thing going on that i like very much and try to fill intentionally.
i also wanna say Klaus is one of the few windows to Aurelius' genuine gentle/good side, the side he might have been all the time if his father didn't screw him up from birth (of course i can't say his dad is all to blame, but he sure takes 60~75% of the blame).
as for developed dynamics im guessing this is asking about interactions with another OC that influenced this one...why do i feel like they've all been humbling experiences... Issy has shown him some humans are worth treating with care, Constantine has demonstrated how not everyone takes his shit, Dar is there to inspire working business relationships while highlighting Aury's awkward aspects fitting in, Huey undos all the good work everyone else puts in by proving how crappy some humans act, etc.
idk how to answer that part aside from "they help subvert expectations, but i don't know if that's enough to actually change the way he acts" why did i pick this Q the second part's hard to answer hahah
Who was your first OC?
time to get embarrassing so my first OC with an actually established backstory and stuff was this girl with a randomnly generated Japanese name i thought was pretty (Saikoubi) for a digimon RP group
and i intentionally gave her a happy-go-lucky personality and positive outlook because looking at the rest of the applicants everyone was like either emo or orphaned or both and my 14-year-old self was like "well! how are we going to save the world as digidestined if we're sad all the time" and basically made her the complete opposite of everyone else
it was rad, people got to be edgy, she got to be sunny, we didn't really get past the first region between our threads before the group died down but i think we all had fun and that's what matters in the end xD
FANDOMS x1
What is your favorite fandom in which you write?
i still like touken ranbu but it's more fun to write (RP) that when other swordboys are around, plus the fandom's so saturated with new swordboys these days it's hard to keep up with latest lore stuff. i still try to write 1 fanfic for it in the annual xmas secret santa thing the english-speaking fans host, tho i'm very very slow these days
beyond that i've been dipping into FFXIV fic writing a few times but i haven't grasped the language of the world well enough yet so i'm not satisfied with my work ehhh it is what it is for now
SHIPS x2
Do you plot a ship or see where it goes?
it's more fun to see where a ship goes because i like unpredictability. like the unscripted stuff feels more genuine to me especially if it surprises me u know? i do acknowledge the value of a well-planned romance but in a fall first vs. fall harder relationship i'm definitely invested more in the "fall harder and beautifully in all the disastrous ways" kinda person
i think that's how my past ships have generally gone, finding a connection between 2 muses, expanding on it, referencing it, and then boom! one day you know so much more about the other muse and you're always thinking about them and wait, what, we're hanging out together? just the two of us? is this a DATE? kinda revelations are very fun
What are you looking for in a ship?
i enjoy ships with room to develop. like it's cute when they come together and are all kiss kiss/blush blush but the process to getting there is half the fun! and the pining. and maybe a little misunderstanding here and there.
uhhhh i guess what im saying is i like the journey to get to the ship even more than the ship itself sometimes
or if we're in a ship let's go crash the boat for fun!!
hehe drama
TUMBLR x2
What was your first blog / URL?
preciousdollie
if it sounds cringe it's feenie's fault he came up with the nickname...even announced it to everyone in court of all places
Do you still have your first blog / URL?
yeah the blog's still up tho the theme's so old it's a little broken. i basically keep all my RP blogs around for archive purposes, i like going back to read the stuff sometimes (also the reblogs of art and aesthetic posts are cute + good cause some tumblrs delete and you lose that post forever otherwise)

12, 13, 18 for the writer asks? I might come back with more later if you don't mind but these were the first that grabbed my eye, if any of them you've already received feel free to substitute one that catches your eye!
I don’t mind at all! Fire away!
—
How does receiving or not receiving support impact you?
Like most people, I crave positive support. When I get into something for the first time, I don't necessarily expect support, but once I do get it and make friends, then it's much more difficult to continue without it. Still, I habitually keep my expectations low (to this day, the support Holometabolism got/is getting is unreal to me).
If I don't receive support, I don't necessarily burn out, but I do feel a little bit :( about it, if that makes sense. But most of my work is primarily for me (writing what you want to read and all that), so it's not terrible. That said, I hope I influence people to write more; that's always nice. I like being needed, I guess.
What’s a common writing tip you always follow?
Make it meaningful. Be it for your own enjoyment, someone else's enjoyment, exploring something you want to explore to surmounting a mental block via these silly little words we call stories-- make it mean something. Even if it's not a lot, if there's meaning, then it's worth it.
As for actual writing tips, have a friend to talk to so that you can have an outlet for spoilers.
Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process? How do you come up with titles?
A title's either the easiest or the hardest part of creating the fic barring the summary (oh god the summary; all my homies HATE summaries).
Titles can come from songs ("Running With the Wolves" is a nice title I've been toying with for something, and is a song by AURORA), themes/subjects of the work itself ("Bitter Dream" and "Intangibility" were this one), or phenomena that inspired the whole thing/are tangetially related to it ("Holometabolism", or "complete metamorphosis", to signify a total change in character).
As for when, I try to do it at the beginning to at least have something to call it (I like posting as I go, so I kinda have to LOL). It's part of the outlining process.

Thank u for the ask! Had lotsa fun, and looking forward to more if you do ask more!

Chain Reaction Notes - General
Want to know about my writing process? Want to see my POV style guides and areas of concern? Discussion of the writing of the fic, the writing of my notes, an old outline of the fic, and some other random shit under the cut!
As you all know, the last chapter of chain reaction that I wrote before the hiatus was chapter 9. I finished chapter 9 mid December 2022. I was working on chapter 10 soon after that, but my hyperfixation had shifted and I was more focused on other projects. That being said, I was still plugging away at chain reaction, and ended up finishing chapter 10 about 5 months after the hiatus started. At that point I had already decided not to post anything until the whole piece was completed, though, so it just lived quietly in my word processor.
Once again, I slowly worked on it in the background, and after a little over three months, I finished chapter 11. That puts us in early September 2023. I had started reading the One Piece manga around that time and it really inspired me to pick this piece up and try to finish it. By the start of November, chapter 12 was done, and I'd decided to take part in NaNoWriMo with the goal of finishing the fic by the end of the year. 10 days after finishing chapter 12, 13 was done, and I was really picking up steam. Two and a half weeks later I finished chapter 14. Three weeks after that I finished chapter 15. Eight days after that I finished chapter 16. Ten days later, I finished chapter 17. Three days after that, on January 19th, 2024, I finished the epilogue. After writing 50k in three months (a lot for me!) I took a nice long break from looking at or even thinking about the fic. Then, in late February, I started my final round of edits. I sent it to some friends and got feedback. And now we're waiting for my beta to check for grammar and other minutiae I tend to fuck up on my own.
Ultimately, this piece is 107k. Depending on how edits go, I expect it to end up pushing 108k, maybe more. That's long! The longest thing I've ever written, in fact! That's a lot to keep track of, especially considering that half of the fic was written over a year ago, so I kept a lot of notes, especially during the hiatus.
While writing the first half of the piece, all my notes lived in a single Google Doc. As you may remember, chain reaction is actually based on someone else's fic, so in the early days, the Doc was filled with a basic summary of that fic and what I was keeping, what I was changing, and what I was getting rid of entirely. Then my piece got farther away from the source material and I used the Doc to plan out my story beats. Even before chapter 9 was finished, I had the whole fic outlined, though that outline ended up changing significantly. (More on that later.) When it came to actually writing the hiatus chapters, though, I was getting frustrated with my notes in the Doc - they were wordy, and I find it very annoying to scroll through a long document in search of specific information. By the time I was working on chapter 13, I was starting to get genuinely frustrated. My Doc notes just didn't have what I needed - specific details about what I'd written, not what I planned to write. It was essential that I knew what happened in each previous chapter without having to reread prose every time I wanted to check a small detail. And I certainly didn't want to keep scrolling on my computer, clicking in and out of my word processor with my little trackpad. So I broke out an old sketchbook and started to take notes the old fashioned way.
Step one was figuring out what I needed to keep track of while writing the new chapters. What did these notes need to say? What was worth writing down? The more I wrote, the harder it would be to find what I needed, so I had to be selective.
Mostly, the answer to that was character dynamics. It was essential that I kept track of how the characters felt about each other, so everything progressed naturally instead of happening arbitrarily when I remembered to include it. I also created a list of things that needed to happen regularly that I regularly forgot to include. I'll list out all the variables I tracked at the end of this post, as well as the POV style guides I created for Ace and Zoro. I'll also put the original fic outline down there, too, one from November 2022. The final fic ended up much different, so it might be interesting to see how things were originally supposed to go!
Once I decided on the Essential Variables and Information for my sketchbook notes, I started writing them out. The first page was filled with the important variables, the POV style guides, some doodles, and a color coding guide. Then I set up one page per chapter. Each page had the chapter's theme at the top, followed by a summary of each scene in the chapter and all the relevant information for it - the scene's POV character, its corresponding number in the outline doc, how long until they have to return to Sabaody, how long Ace and Zoro have been together, and any of the Essential Variables that were included in that scene. Then, at the bottom of the page, after I'd written the chapter and finished writing up its notes, I'd pick the title!
Despite the fact that I was working on chapter 13 when I started keeping the sketchbook notes, the first chapter I took notes on was 10 (the first hiatus chapter and second timeskip chapter). This was because chapter 10 is the first one that's unpublished - if there was a variable I forgot to include, or if I made a mistake with the continuity, I could still change it! On top of that, chapter 10 functions as a baseline; the theme of the chapter is literally 'learning our new normal'! So it was really important for the progression of the piece that I kept good notes about what, exactly, that baseline is.
Then, once my notes on chapters 10, 11, and 12 were done, I felt ready to continue with 13! I wrote the scenes from my Google Doc outline while regularly checking the sketchbook for variables. Honestly, I was often changing the order of scenes in the Doc, or changing their contents, or deleting them, or adding new ones, but I was still (generally speaking) following the outline there. Eventually, I abandoned the Doc, copying the scene ideas right into my word processor and organizing the outline in the drafts of this very tumblr!
By the time I was writing chapter 16, things had changed so radically from the original outline, and I was so close to the end, I got a little lazy with the notes. The notes for chapters 16 and 17 share a page, and all I did was reorganize the outline again, as well as change the way certain scenes played out. For the epilogue, though, I ended up writing 3 pages of notes. This is largely because I hadn't decided what it was going to look like until I got to writing it - I had one scene in mind, but that was it! So I had to decide 1. how much time I wanted to cover 2. what happened in that time frame 3. how much of that I was actually going to depict and 4. how I was going to structure it. I ended up going with something radically different from the body of the piece, but I think it's both effective and fun!
In the near future, I'll be typing up those pages of chapter notes. I'll post them here one chapter at a time. They'll have spoilers, obviously, because they're a summary of the events in the unposted chapters, but they're not very detailed, so it shouldn't actually ruin anything for anyone. They'll be under a cut so only those who wish to see them will!
Wow, okay, this post ended up really long. Wow. I'll put the POV style guides, Essential Variables, and original outline under this, and that'll be it, I promise. Thank you to everyone who has read any of my posts on this silly tumblr account about my silly fic. It means the world to me, truly.
POV STYLE GUIDE - ZORO
a lot of cursing
gets poetic sometimes (often)
holy mother of parentheticals!
a lot of "oh my God"s
calls people assholes / dickhead / fuckhead
says [word] ass
repetition girlie (in twos)
POV STYLE GUIDE - ACE
more casual voice (IN DIALOGUE)
um, uh, etc. (IN DIALOGUE)
doesn't really say fuck unless it's about sex
more hypothetical questions
loves 2 spiral
milder insults like jerk
repetition girlie (in threes)
can't feel heat
more formal prose
VARIABLES I TRACKED
Perona + Zoro's relationship
Mihawk + Ace's relationship (they are @ odds until a particular chapter)
Mihawk + Zoro's relationship
Perona + Ace's relationship (they become besties between two specific chapters)
Acezoro relationship obviously but this was the Point of the fic so the progress was baked into the outline. That being said, I did make sure to write down any instances of either of them using the word 'love' or something similar in regard to one another. The scene summaries contain information about the progression of their dynamic
Perona calls Mihawk 'boss'
Ace falling asleep in his food (I WAS SO BAD AT REMEMBERING THIS ONE)
Ace spirals. Always guilty
Zoro Autism Meltdowns (tm)
Zoro's always drinking
Perona shoots negative ghosts at the drop of a hat! (I was bad at remembering this one also)
Zoro calls Mihawk 'hawk eyes'
Zoro's training progress. esp w haki
Ace can't feel heat. (Really important!!)
ORIGINAL HIATUS OUTLINE - FAR DIFFERENT FROM FINAL PRODUCT - ANNOTATED TO SHOW WHAT STAYED AND WHAT DID NOT
The numbers are from the full timeskip outline, so the first 5 scenes are in chapter 9. The hiatus starts with chapter 10 so we'll start there
Chapter 10:
6. The alpha humandrill. Ends up being easier than anyone expected (zoro does it by himself) bc he's not fucking stressed out about his crewmates or ace or anything. He's like Back On Form and fully healed and everyone is like um. Okay. hello [stayed!]
6.5. Spar interlude! Happens right off the tail end of 6 and ace is like. Distracted and flustered and ends up getting cut because of it. Ace explains that you have to consciously transform to avoid hits, but if you're good enough at observation haki you can pretty much do it automatically. Admits to 1. Being distracted by how sexy zoro is and 2. Not being good at anything other than armament haki [stayed!]
7. Farming! This is supposed to be an all 4 of them activity but perona quickly fucks off to go make lemonade and snacks for everyone so she doesn't have to slum it in the dirt. Mihawk makes her anyway. They have kind of a fun time time throwing dirt at each other and eventually manage to goad mihawk into throwing zoro into the lake [stayed, with less dirt throwing but zoro definitely still goes into the lake!]
7.5. Family Dinner interlude! Mihawk complains about how little work they got done that day and zoro grumbles about not being able to train and mihawk's like look idiot taking breaks is important. What do you think about this wine. And the two of them go back and forth about it and ace and perona are watching like :pogchamp: father and son…… [stayed! though it ended up shifting a bit to focus on mihawk and ace being at odds, and happens the day after 7 instead of the same day like i originally planned]
8. Mihawk explaining haki. The canon scene, expanded. [stayed!]
8.5. Spar interlude! This one is obviously zoro trying to get better with haki. Ace gives him tips and kind of accidentally teaches him ryuo [stayed - sort of. it's zoro practicing, but it's ace pov. he frets about being a bad partner, doesn't actually help zoro much]
9. Ace and zoro drunk convo number one. this one is about their relationship and what they want from it. also they go camping. Trying to figure out what it means to be together, what they want that to look like. [stayed!]
Chapter 11
9.5 Family Dinner interlude! Set up 10 [stayed!]
10. Perona doing zoro's nails. He won't let her do his fingers bc they'll chip from his workouts but he'll let her do his toes. They talk about his ankle scars and she can't decide if that's funny or infuriating. Ace thinks it's hilarious but does ride zoro's ass about it later lol. First inkling of zoro's sword throwing tendencies [stayed - sort of! perona does his fingers first, actually, bc she talked him into matching with her. then, when she's doing his toes, she see the ankle scars. instead of the reactions in this outline, they both freak out - they're upset that his first impulse in that situation was to cut his legs off. and they're even more upset when zoro is dismissive of their feelings and concerns about that. perona has to leave the room and ace and zoro have their first argument as a couple]
10.5. Spar interlude! Zoro's first spar w mihawk [changed! this became a resolution for 10, involving zoro examining his own tendencies, a mushy apology, and intense makeup sex]
11. Mihawk bonding! He and zoro go spearfishing [stayed!]
11.5. Family Dinner interlude! Talk about baths nd the devil fruit user feeling of powerlessness. Ace esp hates being cut off from his fruit bc it's become an essential part of himself [stayed! focused on ace's Issues]
12. Zoro and ace take a bath! Mihawk probably has a huge huge (room-sized) marble tub around somewhere. Ace agrees to heat the water up with his powers but zoro convinces him to get in. A very tender trust exercise. First inkling of ace's deflated sense of self worth [stayed but was moved to chapter 12!]
Chapter 12
12.5. "Spar" interlude! (it's just naked wrestling) [changed! this became a spar with mihawk to show the progress of his dynamic w zoro]
13. zoro lets perona give him a piercing… that's right. zoro nipple piercings. Ace gets his navel done in solidarity. Love wins [stayed! expanded a bit to cover the change in the dynamic the three of them have, and also to reassert the bond between them]
13.5. Family Dinner interlude! "Roronoa your nipples." [stayed!]
14. Drunk convo…… 2! They talk about sabo and kuina. ("so. Why three swords" "the honest answer?" "i think i deserve that. We're together, aren't we?" "yeah. It's just… i've never told anyone." "how about i tell you something in return?") They learn about each other's baggage. This, too, helps them get stronger [stayed!]
14.5. Spar interlude! Z spars one on one w mihawk again. Appreciable progress [stayed, but was moved down into chapter 13]
15. The first "i love you" and it of course comes from ace. Happens during very tender sex. Zoro does not say it back (yet) [stayed, was also moved into chapter 13]
15.5. Family Dinner interlude! This is where perona drops the infamous "he sacrificed his eye for you, the least you could do is give him your last piece of fish" and ace is like he WHAT. he and perona start freaking out and screaming at zoro and eventually zoro is like OKAY. BYE. and jumps out the window. [whew. okay. this scene stayed in the fic with a few changes, but ultimately ended up being the final scene of chapter FOURTEEN. this is because i wanted to expand more on zoro's reaction to scene 15, so i added 5 new scenes between 15 and 15.5. details on the new scenes will be in the notes for chapters 13 and 14]
Chapter 13
16. Zoro doesn't come back like they expected tho and by day 2 ace is like i'm going after this mf fr. ace repeatedly tries to play charades w the humandrills to get them to tell him where zoro is and eventually they lead ace right to him. [stayed (sort of. he only has to play charades with the humandrills once) but, because of all the new scenes, this ended up being the opener of chapter 15. i also added a new scene after it]
16.5. Spar interlude! This is actually a genuine fight between them, not really a spar. Ace tries to talk to him during it but zoro shuts it down. "But your eye!!!!!" "but nothing. You were going to die and now you're here, alive. That's all there is to it." they don't exactly work it out but ace does start to understand zoro more completely. He is going to make his own decisions independent of everything and then always double down [stayed - sort of. they do fight but it doesn't last that long. it's more of an icebreaker than anything. they eventually work it out (tho zoro doesn't say it back) and have more makeup sex. the dialogue in this outline was heavily edited in the final piece. again, so much stuff was added that this ended up being the final scene of chapter 15]
17. Cold snap. Lots of everyone following ace around bc he's a furnace. Even mihawk seems to always end up in the same room. It's very funny [deleted!]
17.5. Family Dinner interlude! Mihawk thanks ace for ^ but is like. Super cringe abt it. Perona starts sniffling [deleted!]
18. Perona gets sick :^( zoro takes good care of her. Ace hovers. Mihawk make soup. They're all being cute about it and graciously ignoring that abt each other [deleted!]
18.5. NO spar interlude! They worried about perona [deleted!]
19. Zoro, ace, and mihawk cooking (fail) compilation [deleted!]
19.5. Family Dinner interlude! Perona's all better :) [deleted!]
Chapter 14
20. They get a news coo that finally announces the fact that ace went missing. His bounty is increasing to a billion and the "He's Gol D. Roger's Son" thing is dropped, an attempt by the gov't to make ppl more likely to hunt ace and turn him in. he has a whole Mega Breakdown over everyone knowing, over ZORO knowing, and zoro finally hits him with the completely earnest "i don't fucking CARE!" "but you sacrificed your eye for me, someone with bad blood in their veins!!" "you think that matters to me? Do you think for one second that something like that would've made me okay with leaving you for dead? I love you! I'd DIE if it would keep you safe, bad blood or not!" "but i'm the son of–" "I DON'T CARE!!! YOU'RE MY PARTNER!!! YOU'RE MY CAPTAIN'S BROTHER!!!! YOU'RE THE ONLY MAN I'VE EVER LOVED!!!!!" (first time he's said it and not "me too" or some shit equivalent) and he Storms Out and ace has to really wrestle with how much he's allowed roger to cloud his vision. Mihawk is like well i met roger once and he seemed chill. Perona is like i really don't see why it's such a big deal now. You're twenty one years old. Like, would you care if the roles were reversed and zoro was the one who was roger's kid? And ace is like :O no…….. I wouldn't…… Wow Thanks Perona [wow okay so this scene stayed. technically. but only so far as the premise - they do get a news coo announcing that ace is still alive and has a one billion berry bounty and is also roger's son. but it plays out totally differently. more details on what actually happens in the chapter 16 notes!]
20.5. Spar interlude! Swing over to zoro, who is frustrated. Who feels unseen, misunderstood. It's him against the humandrills and he goes so wild that mihawk comes out and is like fucking. Stop. and zoro raises a sword against him in earnest anger and while he still cannot win, he pushes mihawk back. [okay so this scene kind of stayed, but it was moved into chapter 15 between ace's charades w the humandrills and their reconciliation spar. zoro does go crazy against the humandrills, but when mihawk comes out to stop him, he stops. and they talk]
21. Epic reunion. They understand each other and are like okay sorry for being dismissive of ur position. Let's both agree to not let this shit we can't change bother us. They will have to accept these things about each other (zoro's need to throw himself on the sword, ace's complicated feelings about himself and his value and history.) Finally get the "thank you for loving me" speech (edited of course) which zoro meets with "thank you for living. Thank you for letting me stay by your side" [this got deleted, mostly. some of the ideas were pulled into the highly edited version of scene 20]
21.5. Family Dinner interlude! Everyone is like um okay that was awkward. Why don't we own mihawk over his music tastes now [deleted!]
22. Drunk convo the third. What's next for us? Can this really survive beyond the shores of kuraigana? Do we want it to? [changed and moved - not a drunk convo anymore. combined with 25, ended up the penultimate scene of chapter 17]
22.5. Spar interlude! Zoro and ace spar. Zoro wins decisively. [deleted - didn't need to be a scene. it's a milestone that happened and is mentioned but that's it]
23. zoro doing perona's hair. Maybe ace's too bc it's been growing out [stayed - sort of. moved to be the first scene of chapter 14. he only does perona's hair]
23.5. FD interlude! Mihawk "are pigtails in season…?" [deleted!]
Chapter 15
24. Mihawk bonding! Ace talks to him about what his next step should be. What he wants it to be. They talk about whitebeard and legacy and what it means to want the best for your children [stayed, with significant changes - still a conversation between mihawk and ace about the future, but it doesn't really hit the beats in this outline. ended up in the second half of chapter 17]
24.5. Zoro and ace spar. It's Very Fucking Intense and when zoro pins him ace gets heart eyes and they smash on the forest floor like animals [deleted </3]
25. Ace and zoro have a serious talk. Ace "i'm staying by your side. Let's get married" "THAT'S how you propose to me?????" "yes?" "yeah ok. Let's get married stud" [stayed! dialogue changed slightly. ended up the penultimate scene of chapter 17]
25.5. Family Dinner interlude! Announce their plans + engagement, talk about how they're gonna get to sabaody [stayed!]
CHAPTER 16 - Epilogue [Not a breakdown of scenes, but basic notes about it]
– + them getting back to sabaody. All 4 of them go. Intentionally about a week early to make sure they can get married and have a little honeymoon lol. Perona and mihawk are their witnesses for the wedding. [true]
– + mihawk and perona say they're leaving but definitely stick around and watch to make sure everyone leaves sabaody together. They're both too aware of the straw hats' luck [kind of true - perona sticks around at least]
– + ace notices this by day 4 and is like hey. Let's go to the amusement park, as one final hurrah! [untrue - ace and zoro do go to sabaody park, but it's just the two of them and it's also off screen]
~ ace has to be in disguise. He has a whole Thing abt covering his tat, but it's also like c'mon brother. [kind of true - they do wear disguises but ace is not seen caring about covering the tat]
– + eventually they get the call from rayleigh that's like "ok everyone is back. You should head to the ship." and they're like  and they make it to the sunny first. When nami rolls up, zoro and ace are making out against the mast [kind of true - no call from rayleigh happens on screen but they ARE making out against the mast when nami rolls up]
~ nami "what the FUCK is going on???? Is that ace?????" and they're like "yeah. We're married now." namigetstrolled.png [true!]

More like I've thought all of this up to mostly be behind-the-scenes background logistical information so that if I write something later that contradicts that background stuff, I have something to look back on.
Though, I am currently in the middle of trying to flesh out the details of a fic that utilizes said information. I mean, at this point, it's mostly just a summary/prompt part 1 & 2 that's been super expanded to the point where it's no longer really identifiable AS a summary/prompt. I mean… plus a number of other things that sort of add onto the main summary/prompt. Don't worry, it's all put together on the same masterlist & all of my masterlists lead back in on each other, so if you can get to one of them, you can manage to get to the one you want. It just takes a bit of navigation, is all.
Anyway, for the moment, I really only have the story for the start of his eventual redemption arc. In my mind it would take way more than a single life for him to eventually be able to completely let go of a hatred that has been stuck to his soul like the fuggliest barnacle ever for multiple lifetimes.
My main goal in it is more so to give him something worth not giving up everything for. However, because of it, the first few parts of the story will end up only barely related to the game it’s based on. Now, there will definitely be overlap, but you don’t get to the actual game events until almost the end. And, in fact, I go very much out of my way to change as few of the in-game events as possible until halfway through the literal final boss confrontation.
Essentially, from Link’s perspective, there would literally be zero change from the actual game, but then suddenly at what most likely seemed like the absolute last minute, there’s suddenly this brand new character that may as well have come out of effing nowhere! And… I’m only just now realizing just how flipping confused the poor guy will most likely be & I am now determined to add his complete bewilderment as part of the story. 🤣
Anyway, the whole point is that everything from that moment forward is different, but I’m not about to inform you of anything regarding that.
But at the end of the fic, I want Ganondorf changed irrevocably & on a fundamental level, but to still be himself as we see him in the game. Like, he’ll still hate Hyrule, still hate Link & Zelda, but… You’ll just have to see.
And thank you! I've actually brainstormed how they'd taste & stuff! It was interesting! 😁
Also understandable.
And, that's fair. Mineru would be knowledgeable on this. And it really is freakin’ weird that Rauru & Sonia backing up Link could do something that Mineru swears couldn't be done. Like, I never liked this part because it felt… It just wasn't satisfying! Like, at all!
In fact, this is another one of the few things that legitimately got my goat about the game! Though, like I mentioned, it isn't so much that Mineru was wrong, because I try to look at it as an actual world where that's just their reality. More so, I was always upset with HOW she was shown to be wrong!
Though, at the same time, it’s possible that the reason why it worked was because, before that, they hadn't had, technically, 3 people able to use Recall at the same time? Or, well, they did, but they Mineru might not have thought to test it? Because, technically, Rauru should've been able to use Recall just as readily as Link. So, him & Sonia powering up Link may have resulted in Link’s Recall being amplified? And, it may also have been partially due to Zelda herself also being a Sage of Time with a stone of her own??? And, if so, then it would mean that it was, being literally reverse back to the moment before Zelda swallowed the stone, which is theoretically feasible for them to have not be able to do. Because every other time, the Recall Rune was really only used to reverse small, inanimate objects back a few seconds? Perhaps Mineru even tried it with Sonia before, but was unable to because there was only Sonia & Rauru with the Recall? As in, maybe Mineru hadn't thought to try again?
It… I admit, I’m not sure.
I agree that it would've been cool for Zelda to have the trauma & denial as part of her character arc. Mostly because, at the end of the day, they're still just people.
Personally, I tend to be of the opinion that it could've been a bit of both, because there typically isn’t just one singular reason, but more so a main reason backed up by other lesser, but still contributing reasons. Like how Link's main reason for saving Hyrule in TotK is getting Zelda back home safe & sound, but alongside all that is 1) saving his home, 2) his people, 3) utterly destroying the S.O.B what took his wife from him, & 4) it's just the right thing to do.
No matter what, the main reason is first & foremost that he just wants his wife back, but that doesn't make any of those other reasons any less valid or important.
As such, I like the idea that it was mainly denial & a frantic hope that this wasn't him & that they killed him, they made sure of that & hadn't they suffered enough??? But one of the things that supported that denial could've been the fact that Urbosa had never said anything about it & she trusted Urbosa, so the idea that her godmother (my hc) wouldn't inform her of such an important detail is… well, I think that it would be unfathomable to her.
Sorry if I'm overexplaining again. I do that a lot. 😅
Not to mention, it's possible that Urbosa herself actually didn't know the full story either. She definitely knew more than anyone else, but considering the fact that no one else seemed to know much of anything at all, that isn't exactly the highest bar to clear.
I mean, I doubt that Urbosa expected to have to worry about the guy literally returning from the grave. If anything, she likely expected to either put down the Calamity for another century for the next set of Champions to deal with or to, hopefully, just end it completely this time & finally put the shame of the Gerudo to rest without having to inform her little bird of that shame.
But, again, I might be inserting too much real life logic into it.
Oh! You & me both! I would’ve LOVED seeing how Rauru united Hyrule!
I mean, I know how I think it started, but ya know.
I'll be honest. I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo wanted us to think that all the Gerudo turned against Ganondorf, but as I mentioned before, there's really only so far that my suspension of disbelief will stretch. And one of the things that said suspension won’t cover & even specifically refuses to, is the idea that NONE of the Gerudo stayed loyal to him. If no one else, I would be willing to bet my bottom dollar that Kōme & Kotake stuck with him, but I’d still say that there must have been others.
Like, no! Even if Aonuma were to literally go out of his way to become fluent in every single language currently spoken on earth just so he could tell everyone on live television that both in OoT & TotK, ALL of the Gerudo turned against Ganondorf, I would still squint suspiciously & say, “No.”
Normally, I’m fairly adverse to the concept of “death of the author” as I feel like completely stripping the literal creator of a franchise of any authority regarding said franchise, is honestly just super dang disrespectful.
Like, at least wait until the flippin’ copyright has expired!
However, I still reserve the right to be a belligerent brat about it if I want to. As such, I feel zero shame in saying, “I don't buy it. If you want me to believe you, then do me a favor & actually make it believable & not just say, ‘trust me, bro.’”
Mm… True, I agree with the Fi thing… But didn't Granny Impa also mention that Sun didn't get to the Surface the way that she was supposed to? In fact, I remember reading a post where someone pointed that fact out. Because, remember, Granny wasn't just saying that because it'd been passed down to her from the guardian of the temple before her. She's literally Impa, meaning that she literally didn't remember it happening that way the last time.
As such, this implies that things had already started going off the rails at the start of the game.
And if that's the case, then it's possible that even Hylia hadn't expected this deviation to happen. And, if so, then it would suggest that Fi had believed that the loop was a stable one.
In other words, she miscalculated. Though, the thing about Impa remaining in the past is that had she not, then Granny Impa would've known for sure that something wasn't right. Because she would've remembered. Or, instead, Granny Impa wouldn't have been there in the story when we needed her. Or maybe she was still needed in the other timeline.
Also, it wasn't just that the pedestal & Master Sword weren't anywhere to be seen. Neither was Sun. Like, she's nowhere to be seen either. Which is partly why I found myself needing to create the Outset Timeline to begin with, because nothing made sense if I didn't make it make sense.
I can accept that! XD I can live with balancing things out.
And yeah. Though, to be fair, the first 2 main games in Kingdom Hearts, don't really have much, if any, of that hoop jumping, while Chain of Memories & 345/2 Days have a whole lot less than the others. And they're also super fun! 😁
I dunno. For all we know, “Misko” might be a family name or a title that you earn. Which, BTW, did you know that their name in Japanese translates to “Lambda” & in both versions, their symbol is the Japanese glyph for the lambda symbol? → 入 Which itself is based on the original lowercase lambda symbol? → λ
And, did you know that the symbol of one of the 7 Heroines of the Gerudo is actually the uppercase lambda symbol? → Λ
And maybe I have my tinfoil hat on, but I think that this is supposed to be a bit of a subtle hint to something. In fact, I think that Misko, if nothing else, may have some sort of connection to the 7 Heroines. Whether as a descendant of one of them or simply as a follower.
And even then, it's possible that, again, it could just be a family name or title. If so, then that alone could explain the odd time discrepancy. Or it could be a copycat thief.
My theory? I think that they are a Gerudo & that she is the descendant of, my guess, the Heroine of Skill, who I believe was the one who gifted the Gerudo Shield to the Mysterious Eighth.
But that's just me & my crazy theory that's based mostly on my own personal research as well as some things from other people. One such individual was actually the person on Reddit that I learned about all that Yorishiro stuff & the other, I somewhat pieced together on my own during a conversation with @alasse-earfalas.
We were talking & she mentioned that Misko's symbol was the lambda & that it was used in math. And then I think that I remembered something similar from that Reddit post I mentioned. So, then I went looking & she was right. And that got me curious & I realized that almost all of them were some sort of text symbol.
So, I thought that maybe they might correlate somehow. But for a good while the only one I was near positive about was the symbol of the Heroine of Heart/Spirit & that was mostly due to how Japanese culture, the piece of a soul is often depicted as being the shape of a tomoe or comma. → ❜
I eventually went back & investigated the colors of each symbol on the orbs. And then I listed the attributes of the Heroines as they were mentioned both times.
The first time we hear of them in BotW, they were told to us by Rotana & she listed them like this: "skill, spirit, endurance, knowledge, flight, motion, & gentleness.”
However, the next time we learn of it was from the Stelae, which listed them as: "heart, skill, fortitude, wisdom, flight, mobility, & compassion.”
Now, obviously, I’m more inclined to believe the Stelae rather than Rotana. Though, that doesn't mean that her information has no merit. All it means is that the stories have been told many times over through the years & that tends to result in details changing. Details such as the order & the most accurate terms. And, honestly, I quite like that they did that with the English version. Because even if it was a mistake, I find that it's a mistake that makes the quests feel more believable. Feels like you really are rediscovering something that's been lost for a long time.
Anyway, I couldn’t figure out what order the symbols were in until I thought to myself, maybe the games give it to you?
So, I looked & it seems that the order of the orb pedestals matches that of the order of the statues at the East Gerudo Ruins. And, if that order matched the order that the Stelae listed & the gifts left by the Heroines for the Eighth, then this is how they would be listed:
Heart; Shin (心; しん | heart, spirit, mind) = ❜ | Comma, phonetic symbol = Gerudo Shield
Skill; Gi (技; ぎ | skill, technique) = Λ | Lambda, phonetic symbol, ʎ used to represent wavelength in physics, electrical engineering, & mathematics = Golden Claymore
Fortitude; Tai (耐; たい | endurance or endure, resist | たい can also be used to mean want or desire) = o | phonetic symbol or O | Landau's symbol, null matrix or asymptotic behavior of functions = Ruby
Wisdom; Chi (知; ち | knowledge, wisdom) = : | Ratio or scales = Sapphire
Flight; Hi (飛; ひ | flight | ひ also be used to mean fire) = ⎎ | Hysteresis, technical symbol, correlates to f = Topaz
Mobility; Dō (動; どう | motion, action | どう also be used to mean copper) = Drop Sign | ??? = Gerudo Scimitar
Compassion; Jū (柔; じゅう | gentleness, softness | じゅう also be used to mean gun, but that's irrelevant) = ǁ | Absolute value symbol, phonetic symbol, alveolar lateral consonant = Gerudo Spear
The only one that I'm struggling with is the flippin’ droplet sign!
I cannot, for the life of me, figure out what it's supposed to represent as far as a text sign is concerned, because all the other ones are, so this one must be as well!
Not only that, they’re all in some way or another related to math/equations or phonetics.
But… sorry… I uh… I went rambling again…
Honestly, my fave might just be the Mystic Set. Not for actual use, but most definitely for the aesthetic!
True, but not many of those game overs result in an actual scene hinting at the consequences of said game over. In fact, I know of at least one other. I think it was one of the OG Zeldas. Not sure as to whether it was 1 or 2, though… And, while it didn’t give you a scene, it had a text box that said that Ganon returned, I think is what I was told. Though, I haven’t seen it myself.
But, you know what? Now that I think about it, if Nintendo really did want to make an entirely new timeline to put BotW & TotK in, then why not just indicate that they split off from the MC bad end or the OG Zelda bad end? If nothing else, those are easy to confirm the existence of in a way that would be difficult to argue with.
Hmm… Didn't know about the Haniwa thing, might wanna look that up later… But that's understandable.
Actually… I'm not so sure that on’nen & miasma are a purely Japanese concept. More so, it's simply that Shintoism appears to be one of the only ones that go into the phenomenon in-depth.
For something that might be a bit more familiar, think about places with a truly bloody history. Places like Alcatraz Island or the sight of a bloody battlefield. Places that, even when all lit up, just feel haunted. The quintessential haunted house.
Or an aura of melancholic peace such as cemeteries.
Or, in contrast, places that feel peaceful or even sacred. Like a beautiful grove deep in the woods that seems untouched by man or a cozy little church.
This sort of concept does exist in places all over the world, but I'm not sure if anyone else has really put a name to it the way they did in Japan. If they have, I'll need to look.
It's the “vibe” I guess you could say. The emotional atmosphere.
Unfortunately, most of my sources are from Zelda related stuff like yours.
I can get being sad about that. It also makes sense.
However, I love that you bring up the Triforce & its virtues & all that because I agree. And actually, I have a theory regarding something. I’m not sure if we know as much about the Triforce as there is. Now, I’m gonna talk a bit about philosophy (which, take everything I say with a grain of salt), but instead of Buddhism or Shintoism, I’m going to be talking about Confucianism. Because in Confucianism, they also have a sort of “Triforce” of their own. A Triforce of virtues. And they happen to be Courage, Wisdom… & Benevolence.
I think that the Triforce has 2 sides to it.
Because isn't it odd that the Triforce is made up of 2 virtues & 1 non-virtue? As I just can’t see power as a virtue.
I theorize that we don't have the whole picture. I think that on a virtues level, it's supposed to be Benevolence, Wisdom, & Courage, but on a more practical level, they also represent Power, Order, & Justice.
In fact, I think the Triforce actually represents the qualities necessary for not only an effective ruler, but also a successful structured society, & possibly even a person.
Now, I'm gonna get into the Confucianism part. From what I can tell, in Confucianism, “benevolence” is defined as a moral sense beginning with those who are dear. In a word, one's own family. Above all, one must be filial to their parents & adore their siblings. Then that strong foundation allows for such feelings to flow outward to one's community & beyond. In other words, one must branch out from this feeling, considering others & empathizing with not only them, but even with one’s own heart.
One could even argue that it is an extension of Aristotle's idea that one's relationships with others reflects the relationship that we have with ourselves. In other words, how you view or treat yourself can affect how you view or treat others. Which makes self-compassion (philautia) rather than narcissism (narcissus) very important. Because arrogance is oftentimes a sign of someone who is secretly insecure.
Now, from how I've heard it, arrogance’s source is ego & is the counterfeit of true confidence. If one is truly confident, then it is far less easy to damage one’s pride. And, this is very much based on a CinemaTheropy video I watched on YouTube where they talk about this very subject as it pertains to Sokka from Avatar. And, while I don't always agree with them, I do find that they make a bunch of good points. Also, I likewise recommend taking a looksee at some of their other vids. Very fun.
And, this actually brings up something else that I learned about that I was, in fact, able to learn about from a non-LoZ related source: (https://folklore-japaneseswords.jimdofree.com/the-significance/#:~:text=The Shinto faith says that, this life or the next)
Now, I haven't verified the validity of the information, so just keep that in mind?
And, actually, I think I even discovered it due to having been looking for extra-cultural lore with which to help me expand upon my fic & some of the stuff that goes on in it! Like, yes, I believe that the search was prompted by a discovery of LoZ related information, but what I’ll eventually be talking about is mostly based on my own personal discoveries/logic & not that of others’. Regardless, I just found this to be super flipping interesting because, if the concept of Tsukumogami (付喪神; つくもがみ, Tool Kami or Artifact Spirit), specifically a Tsurugi no Tsukumogami (sword tsukumogami) that has been treated well, & the more spiritual aspects of the Sword with Japanese culture had been in mind when that particular game was made, then it could actually give us a bit of insight into Demise’s possible perception of himself. Maybe even hinting at a small underlying piece of his actual motivations underneath all of that rage. And, if so, it could cast him in an ever so slightly more complicated light than we currently see him in now. (Though, at the same time, this is only one of a handful of different interpretations of what tsukumogami are. So, I still might be wrong.)
Anyway, like I said above, in general, benevolence is believed that benevolence starts in the home & then spreads outward to one’s community.
In other words, I think that each Triforce segment has both a virtue & a purpose.
In my head, it's possible that the Triforce could even represent the threeway balance of power. The Triforce of Power/Benevolence representing the State (which tends to be more oriented towards the waging of wars for either offensive or defensive purposes), Wisdom/Order representing the Rule of Law (more oriented towards transcendental ideals of a timeless/religious nature), & Courage/Justice representing the People (more oriented towards protection).
What if the reason for the alignment of the Triforce pieces is because of effectiveness? Because, who would you choose to have the most power if not the one who is the most benevolent? Likewise, who would you choose to keep order if not the most wise & who would you select to deliver justice if not the most brave?
But, then, that begs the question of what happens when the family, the foundation of benevolence, is broken? What if the powerful has never known such stability?
Well, they fall back upon that which they know. Power, which they abuse.
Now, this is all just me speculating & hcing wildly, but if it turned out that I was right, then I have to say that it would be a really clever & deep way to go about this whole thing!
Otherwise, I agree with you in regards to what the Triforce represents.
Hahaha! Yes, but I was basically just a little middle schooler on a baby names site! The way it would be written might be (愛恋矢 or あいこいや). So, I was essentially looking to write “arrow of love,” but because all the site showed back then was that Ai & Koi both meant love, I didn't understand that they pertaining to different depths of love. With Koi 恋 being a more selfish or surface level type of love & Ai 愛 being something deeper & more tender. And Ai isn't just limited to romantic, though it is what the word is most associated with. It can also pertain to familial or platonic relationships.
However, had I known that then, my name on Tumblr might've been more like Ainoya 愛の矢 (あいのや).
And yes, I am aware of how cheesy it is, but in my defense, I was still deep in my Sailor Moon era.
Either way, I find that I can't bring myself to stop using it, if for no other reason than pleasant memories.
And, lightning does suit the Gerudo, but I also wish that we had a bit more variety. It’d be cool to have a Gerudo with sand magic or… OH! What if Tourma had Plant Magic?! That’d certainly explain how she’d be able to alter mangoes in such a way!
Also, like I mentioned before, I prefer the idea that no one is really barred from an element just due to their race. I mean, how cool would it be to have a more eel-like Zora with lightning magic? Or fire magic, but since fire can’t burn in water, their magic shows itself in the form of heat.
Eeeh, a wind dragon is only boring if you don't know how to use it. Imagine a dragon who creates tornadoes or that doesn't even need to touch you in order to cut you with its claws. Like, they can generate razor-sharp winds much like the Windcutter Longsword. Though, personally, I think that lightning fits Farore better if you think about lightning in the context of storms & nature's fury.
YES!! AUTOMAIL LINK!!! *punches air*
Also, that makes sense. I'll be honest, I find Flora’s interest in the Sheikah & Zonai tech adorable but… well, I guess I just find that the tech she's interested in is just… it's very obviously not the sort of stuff that the typical Hyrulean is going to see much use in.
For one, they seem the sort of thing that would need a lot of work & capital along with complicated machinery in order to make. So, this plus the fact that they don't exactly seem to be very useful for everyday use (other than the Purah Pad possibly), causes them to not exactly be… practical.
And even the Purah Pad isn't exactly the sort of thing that the normal citizen would have access to.
That isn't to say that parts of them wouldn't be, in fact, the actual Ancient Parts (the screws, cogs, springs, that stuff) would be very useful in the creation of actually legitimately practical technology.
By that, I mean things like household appliances that would make the citizenry's lives just that little bit easier & a tiny bit less time-consuming. Things like vegetable peelers & various things with hand cranks. Like food mills, hand blenders, spice grinders.
Heck! Why didn’t they bring in Pictoboxes?? Those are likely a bunch easier to produce than Purah Pads, so it would also be a lot easier to distribute out to the populous! It’s even a flipping Polaroid, so it produces pictures instantly & can even store a few at a time!! Like, it’s really weird that we have the Purah Pad, but no Pictoboxes in sight!
Similarly, we have stinking energy-based bows, regular bows, but no flipping CROSSBOWS???
Also horse-drawn wagons, then the ability to build what are essentially cars, but no carriages?
Just… Ugh!!
Anyway, as for a way to mitigate Link's climbing, maybe have the first part of the story going through a rainy season? Makes it difficult to climb, that's why they put in the Froggy Suit (which I loved), so maybe use this fact to your advantage & you can just sort of choose when you don't want him to climb stuff. Possibly even make it a running joke where Link gets frustrated by this fact.
Just make it:

(By ElderlyCats on Reddit)
And absolutely, losing your arm will definitely cause issues. Though, one of which that I know of will be phantom limb syndrome. It's where you sometimes feel the missing limb as though it's still there even though it isn't. And, in fact, you could probably use that as another way to make climbing difficult when you don't want him to. Have it so his brain is sending his false pain signals from.where the arm used to be. And, actually, that could be an interesting arc for him. Feeling less than he was due to the loss of his arm. Because he likely defined himself by his abilities as an adventurer, so having an injury cause him to not be able to climb so well would most likely sting.
Another interesting thing I think you should include. I noticed something about Link during TotK. The Purah Pad isn't what's keeping his things. But this means that he has some sort of knapsack on him. At the same time, you know how Link can just sort of through Wheat into the cooking pot? Well, I had a thought that maybe Rhoam gave him a mortar & pestle when he taught Link to cook. That way, when he uses wheat, it makes more sense him being able to use it because he'll be using the mortar & pestle to grind the wheat into flour. Of course, that isn't all it's used for, but that's the big thing, ya know?
“Oh that concept with Rauru's mom could be very interesting too!” Thank you! I wanted to have an actual story regarding how Rauru became king! My thoughts are that the Zonai, as in not just Rauru & Mineru, but the Zonai Empire. They came to Hyrule from not just the sky, but the skies of a distant land across the sea. (Not quite sure which yet, though.) Did you notice that both Rauru & Mineru end in -ru? And when you transfer them over to English, they read as Rare Mineral? Well, I’m thinking of making that the Zonai’s naming theme, with the -ru thing being the specific naming theme of the Zonai Royal Family.
The widowed Huētlahtoāna (empress, great speaker) is named Jueru Ryūmayateoteru (ジュエル りゅマヤてあてル) to mean “jewel” & “chosen of the sacred dragon goddess.” Meanwhile, her husband was named Nōburu or “noble.” I'd have her all in a black & deep, dusty orange in association with the marigold for mourning with a veil over her face at all times.
I was actually under the impression that it wasn't so much the Sword itself that traveled on its own as Zelda’s time magic, but now that I think of it, didn't Link literally just get Recall from Zelda's… temporal impression? Just before the Master Sword went back? If so, it could've been Zelda & Link's joint Recall? As in, the power… created a sort of point A & point B link in time, I guess?
I mean, aren’t the Sheikah Towers & even a number of the Shrines just up & disappearing on their own after their task was complete actually the more plausible answer here? Especially the Sheikah Towers considering that the way that we were introduced to them was via them literally coming up from out of the ground? And a bunch of the Shrines appeared in a similar manner.
If nothing else, those ones, at the very least, could've simply just peaced out! 😆
Just, “My planet no longer needs me,” & ⬇️. Like gophers.
True, they definitely could've given us something. It's possible that the entire point was to leave you asking questions, though. Not that that's an excuse, but still. Maybe they wanted to leave a bit of mystique?
Mmm… I actually think the point of it was that Ganondorf actually did want Link there. One of his big things is that he perceives the strong as the only ones worthy of survival. And as the strongest, he wants to prove it by dominating Hyrule. As such, he most likely wanted to fight Link one-on-one.
As for the Plateau & the Shrine, well before Link blows up the rock blocking the true entrance to the Plateau in TotK, I’m pretty sure that it was inaccessible for most other than Link & the Rito. Not to mention, the entrance wasn't there in TotK, so my guess is the Uprising shook the rocks loose enough for a bomb to finally reopen it.
So, my guess is that the reason why it isn't sacred is simply because not many people could get up there. So, I wouldn't be surprised if after TotK, it did become a sacred place with shrines & memorials.
… I'll be honest, I much prefer your alternative of the Sand Goddess having allowed the Gerudo to reproduce asexually far far more than a couple of the other theories I've seen. One in particular honestly said that they could do it themselves before & the only reason they couldn't do it now was due to “evil Hylian propaganda,” but let me just say, the actual hc made it seem like they thought the Gerudo were just gullible idiots who couldn't figure out that 🌭 + 🌮 = 🤰. So, while yes, I do prefer my interpretation best, I still like yours more than a number of those other ones.
Though, that begs the question as to the purpose of the 1 male a year? Like, if they never needed 1 before because of the Sand Goddess, why do they have one now? We're they always able to have a singular male? And, if so, why? For what purpose?
Not to mention, if they were literally designed to be women & never need men, then why not just make them hermaphroditic in the first place? Seems strange unless the Sand Goddess wanted to keep them loyal to & dependent on her.
Though, I will definitely agree with the sentiment that the Gerudo would've likely been much more well-adjusted if men were allowed in town. Or, if not men, then maybe at least the pre-18 y/o step-sons & adopted sons of Gerudo? I mean, in such an instance, they could probably argue that they weren't yet men, technically, & were Gerudo by right of being the child of another Gerudo?
And I actually think that voe are still being born, but I very much think that they’re… not exactly… allowed anymore? In fact, it’s entirely possible that it started out as no voe allowed (the subtext being no Gerudo Voe), but that it eventually became twisted over time into no voe, period. At least, that was my assumption. In fact, I kinda worry that the first couple generations after that was a scene from the beginning of the Prince of Egypt… Like, really think about it for a minute. If all the bad eggs in your basket were also always ones with spots, whereas all the others didn’t have them, what would you start doing whenever there was another spotted egg in your basket? And, I mean, think about just how bad it always ends up being whenever that egg is allowed to hatch. And it’s always just one egg. No one would miss it…
I’m being intentionally ominous here because as wonderful as humanity can be, we can also be truly despicable…
Especially when we believe such acts will save us from pain later on…
And as horrible as the idea is, it isn’t like this sort of thing hasn’t happened before.
Didn’t many women who birthed sickly or deformed children once leave their babies in the woods. Sometimes to die, but also sometimes in the belief that her child had been swapped for a changeling & attempting to return the changeling so the fairies would return her baby to her?
… Actually, I'm pretty sure that the weird dude that wants a bunch of crickets & frogs to impress a girl makes mention of remembering Link. He says something like, “The new in town act doesn't fool me,” or something like that.
And, to be fair, at least some of these people can be explained away with possibly having only met Link once 5 years ago. Like, do you remember some dude you met, maybe, once 5 years ago? Sure, a guy who did you a solid, but still just a guy as far as they knew.
Now, that by no means explains all of them, but I'd at least give a couple a pass for that. Because, you really expect Link to keep up with literally every character in Hyrule?
And, honestly, I very much doubt that anyone alive other than Link, Dorephan, Impa, Purah, & Robbie had actually seen Zelda in royal regalia. And, when Zelda's there, a literal princess, one who, in-game, has been doing so much crap consistently over the last few years to help her people. Are you really gonna take much notice of the feral dude standing beside her?
Well, to be fair. I'm more so suggesting that it isn't so much Demise himself who is being reincarnated, but more so his hatred.
Ah, but I actually think that he might be. Think of it this way; Time had the Triforce of Courage before going back to the past. But if that's the case, what happened to the Triforce afterwards?
Perhaps, there was a timeline bug, but it was more so that the Triforce registered the presence of a bearer, so the ToC went to said bearer. But then, we've never seen a case where only 2 pieces were in place with one missing. So, maybe, that cause the other pieces to seek out their own bearers?
Definitely possible. Though, I actually wonder if maybe Null is the mysterious Yōkai equivalent to the Tennō (emperor) that I theorized might exist? What I'm talking about is the fact that Demise & Ganondorf are always referred to as Daimaō, the mortal equivalent of being Daimyo. But the thing about that is, there are at least 2 other titles/roles above a Daimyo. Those being the Shogun (royal military general I think) & the Tennō (emperor). Of course, the possibility of such malevolent figures doesn’t seem to be substantiated in actual Japanese lore, but I just find the possibility of it intriguing.
But, you know what part of this theory, might be? See, I believe that at the shogunate’s foundation, there had been something in the ballpark of 200 daimyo under the servitude of the emperor…
What I’m saying is that, there may well be 199 other daimaō (possibly as powerful as Demise in their own rights) out there. And, who knows, maybe that's what Bellum & Malladus are. Just another couple of Daimaō.
But then, that makes me wonder about this mysterious shogun equivalent that I've essentially conjured up inside my own head.
And, if Null is the equivalent of the Tennō, then who’s to say that he wasn't the one who ultimately made the daimaō? Consider this: he can make echos. Echoes of people who can talk & think. So, maybe in his frustration with the tris, he also made things that they wouldn't go after. Things that he could sort of pincer formation creation with. Things that would hate creation as much as he wants creation.
Actually, that makes sense, but also I think that TotK Ganondorf is more complicated than that. I'm pretty sure that it's canonically confirmed that he's a Social Darwinist of the Struggler variety. As such, it isn't so much that he wants to destroy everything as he thinks that the strong survive & that peace makes you go soft.
In a lot of ways, I don't think that Ganondorf was actually in control of the Calamity. I guess one way to put it would be that I see Ganon & Ganondorf as 2 different, but connected entities. Ganondorf is a person who has his own identity & sense of self, & with that comes his own individual desires & goals. Largely, the obtaining of power, control, & eventual rulership over Hyrule.
But Ganon, in essence (in my mind, at least), is Demise’s hatred. And because of that, Ganon’s goal is ultimately the death of Hylia’s bloodline, the cessation of the Hero’s spirit, the annihilation of Hyrule, & ultimately, the destruction of everyone & everything around him. Because that is what Demise’s goal was.
Anyway, the way I tend to write Ganondorf, I sort of make Ganon’s influence more subtle &, in many ways, insidious. In a way, he acts as the Anti-Jiminy Cricket. A “Jack Hopper” if you will. (A term that I literally just made up, so searching it most likely won’t have any results.) He’s something like a combination of the devil on your shoulder & intrusive thoughts. He lurks there in the back of Ganondorf’s mind &... gives him little nudges in the “right” direction. Sometimes lending him a tiny bit of his black magic (which, in my version of things, is quite literally corruptive; spiritually, mentally, & even physically). And that’s how he typically tends to work… until Ganondorf obtains some form of power. At which point, he’ll slowly begin to influence his host more & more. Pick at his insecurities so that the Voe begins to use more & more of his black magic, thus pulling him deeper into his thrall. And, in a lot of ways, you could see Ganondorf transforming into the pig monster as the culmination of all that. In essence, representing Ganondorf losing himself to the very thing that he was so arrogant to believe that he could control.
And, maybe… Maybe Ganondorf dies & is reborn, but Ganon isn't. Maybe Ganon is learning. You see… Maybe that’s why Rancor & Miasma were so effective against the Master Sword this time around? Because, he's learning.
Perhaps… Ganondorf is ultimately little more than a pawn & no one but Ganon & the Twinrova are aware of it…
And, I think it’s been confirmed that the reason why Ganon &, through him, Ganondorf, is always associated so heavily with pigs. Because the literal definition of being pigheaded is stubborn obstinance to the point of self-sabotage.
Oh! I hit on a possible plot fix?! Yay!! 😄 I'm glad!
Though, I know that I don't have to help, but I want to! It's something I enjoy doing!
Oh! Also, the thing I brought up before, but didn’t finish, was a little detail that I'm not sure if others have noticed yet. It has to do with a bit of an interesting aspect of TotK Dorf's personality.
I think that he is a very intelligent & strategic individual, but that he's also prone to taking chances. And by that, I mean calculated risks. (Because of this, I tend to see him as a bit of a gambling man, but if you were to put him in a room with only roulette or a simple memorization game, he actually much more likely to choose the memory game even though I think he'd also see it as beneath him. The issue being that roulette is all luck & no skill. On the other hand, I think that he'd enjoy card games. Especially ones that involve bluffing & trying to intuit what sort of hand your opponent has.)
Once more, I'm basing this on the Molduga scene.
Think back, what is a Molduga's big, exploitable weakness? Simply put, the fact that they can't swim in solid earth.
But then you remember that Ganondorf sends them to attack the Great Plateau. So, by all accounts, all the Hylians would've needed to do was take a few steps back & let the Molduga fling themselves at the mountain & flop around. Maybe poke at them until the monsters died.
Now, does this mean he’s stupid for doing that? No, just a risk taker.
Because, why would you assume that this tactic was common knowledge among the citizenry of Hyrule if they weren't allied with the Gerudo before that? And, if my theory about the tribes being at war beforehand were true, then it was unlikely that many pre-Hyruleans would've visited the desert often. And if so, then they wouldn't have the same knowledge regarding the desert predators that the Gerudo would just by virtue of them living there.
However, if Ganondorf were to have only sent maybe one, two, or a few, then it would've been more likely that the soldiers might've tried their luck on their own, which would've revealed the play for what it was: a bluff.
And I am aware that he was too far away to be seen. However, even if they wouldn’t have known it was him because of this, had he only sent a few, then it would increase the likelihood of him not drawing out the information that he wished for.
Which is one of the next 2 points of order: Ganondorf’s goal & why sending a swarm of Molduga almost ensured that he achieved it.
Well, the reason why he needed the numbers was because, if you were a handful of simple little Hylian soldiers facing a swarm of massive & intimidating, but most of all, unfamiliar (beyond description & name), opponents, what would you do? Especially, if you had a King who was so powerful that many believed you a god?
You’d call him & pray he’d handle it because you don’t think you can do it yourself.
But what then would that powerful king do if he also was not familiar with how to fight that same opponent, but you had little time to learn their weakness before you were forced to figure something out?
He’d use his trump card: The Secret Stones.
Which, in my mind, was Ganondorf’s true goal. He wanted to bait Rauru into using the Secret Stones so that he could get an idea of how powerful the stones were or could be. Not to mention, getting an idea of who might’ve had access to a stone.
In other words, his attack didn’t fail. If anything, I think that Ganondorf got exactly what he wanted from that encounter.
Which is why it pisses me off that he pulled such a stupid move by only taking one stone!! He should’ve at least stolen 1 other stone if he wanted to ensure that he’d win! Because, he knew for certain that there were at least 3 people were in possession of 3 stones (because he would’ve seen at least 3 lights from a distance) & had likely encountered Mineru later. However, even if he hadn’t, he could likely infer as such just based on the fact that the only ones he knew had 1 were either Rauru or people noticeably very close to Rauru & he already knew of Mineru at least by the time of the audience with Rauru. So, if nothing else, he at least suspected that she might be in possession of a stone.
As such, he should’ve at least stolen one other stone!
I dunno, maybe he figured that because one of the lights he saw was bigger/brighter, that it meant that the stone could increase his own power more than he’d expect, but he shouldn't have banked on that!
Then again, the light to the left would've looked much bigger & much brighter to Ganondorf. And, it wouldn't have been too difficult to figure out that Rauru was likely the one in the center, yet despite how strong he was known to be, his light was no bigger than the one to the right of him.
If that's the case, then that would suggest that, without the stone, either Rauru had much less magic or his magic would be much less potent.
Perhaps he hadn't made his decision by the audience cutscene? And perhaps he used his time between that & the one where he kills Sonia to gauge each one's capabilities.
And, if he'd learned that the one with such a powerful aura had been Zelda & that she was actually still a novice at using that power, then he may have felt a bit of pressure to do what he needed before she could fully master this power that dwarfed Rauru. (Which is also part of why I don't think the Zonai are meant to be actual gods, as he & Sonia seemed to possess auras of a similar potency. While it's true that Sonia was likely a descendant of Hylia, herself, if Rauru were also a fully divine entity, then how would their power levels be the same?)
Regardless, he might have spied on them training, possibly both their magic, use of the stones, a/o in a martial aspect. We already know that Rauru was deft with a sword, so he likely trained. We just don't get to see it.
If you ever watch this one movie called “Tucker & Dale vs Evil,” I'd encourage you to only watch an edited version from the perspective of the college kids first.
And once you do, I'd then suggest you watch the full, unedited movie. (Unless you get squeamish about blood, then I'd suggest you just not watch it at all. It isn't by any means the worst I've seen, but it's still bloody & kinda grim.)
Either way, let's just say that perspective changes a lot.
And another example of this is actually in BotW with Link's memories. Specifically that, everything we see regarding Rhoam's relationship with Zelda is almost entirely based on the things that Link was there to see himself. But Link is automatically going to have a biased perspective in favor of Zelda no matter what. And that’s exactly what we see.
If we never met the old man or if he never revealed that he was Rhoam. And if we never find Rhoam’s journal, then we’d all have just believed that he was an a-hole & cursed his name.
Honestly… I kinda think that a few things may’ve been cut. A couple things seem to indicate as such, in fact. Because BotW just felt… More complete, I suppose? And a couple of things never really get addressed. One such case being the situation with Wabbi. Another is the thing with it being implied that Zelda is Rauru & Sonia's descendant, yet we neither see nor hear of hide nor hair of their implied child. We also get a shot of what was most likely a new iteration of Kōme & Kotake, but after that, we see nothing else of them. Then, there's the practical zero evidence of the Zonai as a culture & people.
So, either they forgot, they didn't care, or there was more, but something made it so they had to cut the fat (possibly, in order to meet the release date at all).
Also, sorry. When I said that they were thinking about bringing Koroks back in my last reblog, I meant to type “Minish.” There's literal flippin’ screen shots of Link kneeling by an itty-bitty Minish House! X3
Also, one thing that I just really didn’t like about the Wild games is, ironically, the trees & forests. They all just feel like the same straight trees that any child would draw. And none of them really had a natural old feel to them the way the trees in, say, Faron Woods did in TP. I just really miss the really gnarled, twisting, old-old, possibly ancient trees that actually look like they might have a little kodama living inside with the thick canopies above! But when you run through what's referred to as forests in the Wild Era, don't they feel too… Manmade? Like, my grandpa used to measure trees for harvest on a wood farm for the timber industry. A bunch of the forests in the Wild Era kinda look like that. And, I dunno. It just doesn't feel like a 3D Zelda game should because of it. Feels too intentional & not wild enough. Like, I wanna see branches twisting into each other to form archways! I wanna see fairy rings at random spots! I wanna see trees with their roots showing because of the rocks under them!
And, something else, I'd recommend looking up some BotW/TotK mods. One I know of is Second Wind for BotW (evidently, it's actually worth a fresh playthrough). It adds a bunch of stuff, including Ordon, but I'll be honest, it just… really doesn't feel like Ordon to me. It just feels like any other BotW village. The add on stuff is really cool, it's just that the placement & general aesthetic of Ordon isn’t the best, is all. There's also Relics of the Past for BotW,
Another one that's for TotK is Zonai Link, which changes the Ancient Hero's appearance to be… Less… Eugh, I guess you could say. And I actually really like the look of it compared to the canon version. There's also a Master Mode mod for TotK, a Champion's Cap mod to go with the Champion's Leathers & a Weapons Restoration mod.
Also, I think that you might enjoy the Trails series. It's a very intensely story-based game series that's just huge about continuity, lore, & making the world feel real. As in, it works how you'd expect a real world would.
Heck, sometimes completing certain side-quests will even change the reactions of characters in the main story a bit. But only where it would make sense.
Problem is, I'm liable to raise my expectations for games as a result. 😅
@aikoiya The post was getting too long so I’m replying here, hope that’s okay! If anyone is looking for the beginning of this discussion, it's here.
Your extended pantheon is amazing! I just knew that Gàlondo would end up being Demise haha. I'd say I prefer not to associate Demise with any race in particular (and the Gerudo already have quite a heavy burden with Ganondorf), but otherwise I like that backstory you came up with. So what's Hylia's role in your version then if he’s the guardian of the Triforce? I'm curious ^^
I'd say my reasoning isn't so much "I hate this" but rather "this doesn't make sense/contradicts something else" or "previous games did this better". I also want to show that it's still possible to create stories without ignoring everything that was established previously because to me this idea that the timeline is too restrictive doesn't stand. In fact I tend to believe being a bit restricted and working inside a frame can trigger more creativity (after all they did wild stuff like flooding Hyrule before and it fits perfectly in the timeline). I also would prefer to see the existing lore extended or clarified instead of them adding new confusing stuff and leaving it extremely vague.
Oh I LOVE your Outset Timeline!! Though the ending is indeed very bittersweet. It always makes me so happy when someone else points out the inconsistencies in Skyward Sword's story. That's exactly my reasoning for my fourth timeline, it exists because of Ghirahim and Link's victory over Demise in the distant past. Though you are right, adding a timeline split while keeping the Master Sword in the official timeline requires some gymnastics! At the moment I'm going with a lazy theory about the Sealed Temple being the future Temple of Time, so the Temple's magic somehow allows the Master Sword to exist in both timelines (I said it was lazy haha). Impa’s bracelet is another story though. In my timeline the Goddess Sword is also left untouched in Skyloft because Skyward Sword doesn't happen, which could be useful in case someone accidentally broke the actual Master Sword 😁 It's very intriguing to me that Sky left the sword in the past when he had no reason to (and it shouldn't even be possible since it's in the exact same spot as Zelda's crystal). It's probably just a mistake on Nintendo's part but I like to think there could be something else there, and that Fi had a reason to stay in the past.
About the DLC items the thing is that most sets are found in the Depths in random Zonai chests if I remember correctly, or in the coliseums, and there was no explanation as to how they got there. In Misko's little shrines we find the Fierce Deity set and the LA set, but also the barbarian armor, the shock-resistant outfit and the climbing gear. I can understand building shrines for the Fierce Deity or LA Link following what you said, but then for three random armor sets? Not to mention that Link already owned them in BotW, so making us look for them a second time was kind of a joke. I like this shintai/yorishiro idea, but I think it would work a lot better if there were only a few items to collect and not… the outfits of all the Links ever INCLUDING WILD'S (how!!). It feels really meaningless and more like a catalogue for you to choose from so you can look like your favorite Link (which is a bit insulting to Wild, you can just replace him at this point and go as far as changing his hair or even his entire appearance with the LA set). I also didn't really believe they were the actual items from past games, it made no sense (the same way Link wouldn't actually wear a red Nintendo Switch t-shirt or something from Xenoblade). It just really felt like fanservice.
The dictionary thing might help, but I think the story should be explicit enough on its own and I don't really want to study Buddhism/Shintoism in depth so that I can play Zelda games and understand what's happening haha. I mean of course it's fine if knowing a bit about it adds new context and all, but if you can't understand things like malice vs. gloom without it then I think it's a bit of a problem. Speaking of Fujibayashi I feel like this wasn't really an issue before he was in charge.
Yes the French translation for Demise is very misleading, that's another problem: depending on your language things are sometimes interpreted very differently.
I really like the English names for the three dragons, I think they're so much better than what we got in French. Nedrac, Ordrac and Rhordrac, really?? At first I didn't even understand the link with the Goddesses, and then the last two sound way too similar. Btw I remember from my very basic Japanese courses that it's common in Japanese to create new words by mixing a few syllables of other words together. For example "rimokon" means remote controller (remo + con), or there's the well known Pokemon = pocket monsters. So naturally we end up with stuff like Ordinn + dragon etc.
I thought as well about the dragons going by names given to them by mortals instead of their true names. The thing is, I don't really want to create new names because I'm already changing so many things and my timeline stuff can be a bit complicated, so I need to keep at least a few things familiar. And I really like Dinraal, Farosh and Naydra :D
I agree about Farore being more associated to wind and plants than thunder (I mean she's kind of Link's patron goddess and he has nothing to do with thunder). What's even more confusing in BotW/TotK is that the Gerudo are now also related to thunder for some reason, but they're definitely more Din than Farore in my mind.
Maybe I should give you some context about my dragons haha. The beginning of my story is quite similar to TotK, though I still made some changes. Ganondorf completely destroys the Master Sword, Link looses his arm (except here Rauru isn't there to replace it), and Zelda still travels through time (but not because of a Secret Stone since I got rid of everything Zonai). She arrives in ancient Hyrule one century after Sky killed Demise (because this is set in my alternate timeline), and she's stuck there so she needs to find a way back home. Before that she learns a lot about SS, the Triforce, the timeline split and Hyrule's past. After meeting various characters and most importantly Sonia (who's still a priestess, the Sage of Time and her ancestor), Zelda learns that this era has two Master Swords: the one left by Sky in the Sealed Temple, and the Goddess Sword that is still somewhere above the clouds. She understands then that she needs to retrieve the Goddess Sword in Skyloft and forge a second Master Sword in order to help her Link in the future, and to do so she needs the three Sacred Flames. Where are the flames? The dragons "swallowed" them since they weren't needed anymore after Sky left his own Master Sword, which turned them into the giant immortal dragons we see in BotW/TotK. So that's Zelda's quest: find a way to go to Skyloft and then get the dragons to lend her their power. Along the way she'll also meet the ancient Sages, who can help her return to her own time by using the Triforce (but of course this won't work because of Ganondorf, and Link will have to fight him in the present and bring her back himself).
I'm trying to make this both a story I could adapt in comic form and something that could work as a game. The idea is that Zelda's memories would be playable sequences with places to explore, fights and maybe even mini-dungeons and bosses. And of course there's an entire story for Link as well. At the moment I'm trying to come up with interesting arcs and quests for each race/Sage, both in the past and the present.
Anyway, that's why I'm so focused on the dragons. Zelda (and Link) will need their help and they will talk this time. And since they will remember being apointed by Hylia and they're supposed to absorb their respective sacred flames, I need things to make sense. This is also a timeline without climate change in Lanayru (here it's the same province as in BotW with the addition of Mount Lanayru and a good part of central Hyrule), so the thunder dragon has no business being up there. That's why the swap would make sense.
No need to apologise! I appreciate your perspective and that you're interested enough to share your own ideas! :D
I agree on Zelda's magic being her own and what you said makes sense! Love the part about her only thinking about how she's a failure (though I guess it's only natural if she's been trying for 10 years without result). I don't know if she would have had the same reaction had she witnessed her father's death though. AoC isn't canon but Zelda doesn't unlock her power when Rhoam "dies" in front of her and Link forces her to run. The memory where's she's crying in Link's arms in BotW also shows that she knows everyone is dead, it's even possible that she saw some of it happen (maybe in the same way as AoC for Rhoam, or they saw what happened to the Divine Beasts from afar). I guess they must also have seen some terrible things on the roads, so she could have unlocked her power trying to save her people. But it only happened when Link was about to die.
Haha yes, I'm probably one of the most obsessed Zelink shipper there is and even I can't stand that power of love trope. It really has no place in a LoZ game. In my headcanon Zelda wouldn't access her power only because of her love for Link, though it definitely helps, but rather because the Hero dying is kind of an emergency situation and would trigger her divine magic even if the necessary conditions were not met. I don't know if that makes sense to anyone but me though 😆
Yeah I'm okay with the women of the royal family having some sort of power though not as powerful as Zelda. I think some part of it could also be attributed to their Sage of Time abilities. And the gift of prophecy being inherited from Sky is such a cute idea!!
I don't know about Terrako, I only remember that Zelda built it when she was just a child?
I'd send you an ask to rant about TotK but I'm not sure about the character limit and I fear it would just turn into a second wall of text haha! Here are some thoughts:
– I could live with new lore that contradicts older games, if only things made sense and were sufficiently fleshed out. Then I could just enjoy the story and accept that this is a different continuity. But here everything is so vague and sometimes even confusing. Like if we're going to meet the Zonai and make them such central figures in Hyrule's history, then I want to know more about them and learn about their culture. What's the point if we're only going to see two of them and have no clue about how they created all that technology, mined the Depth, lived with the Hylians, and then disappeared? Same for ancient Hyrule: if the different tribes were at war, I want to see it, and I want to learn more about them. Ganondorf also had so much potential for an interesting backstory. What kind of king is he? How did the Gerudo feel about him becoming the Demon King? What about the Gerudo Sage? And so on. It feels like this could be so much more.
– Other things I would love to see explained: where is the Master Sword in ancient Hyrule and why does no one seem to know anything about it or the Hero? How does it travel through time to reach Zelda? What about Rauru and Sonia's descendants? Also what was the point of the fake Zelda, and why did Ganondorf stay in his bathtub the entire game instead of rehydrating himself right away and getting stuff done? There's also everything I said about the secret stones the other day, but I know you don't see it as a problem ^^ (Also I just rewatched the memories and I had completely forgotten what Rauru tells Zelda in front of Sonia's grave: "Remember, that was a future where you never appeared in this world". So does this mean this is a new timeline that kind of retcons BotW? If not then where did all the Sheikah tech go and how were the shrines replaced by the Zonai ones? I really need an explanation for all of that!!)
– The game also barely mentions what happened in BotW, except for the history class about the Calamity in Hateno, the statues in Zora's Domain, and the memorials left by Zelda to honor the dead. I wanted to see Hyrule starting to rebuild and to get some sort of follow-up on the story. Did Link regain all his memories? Was Zelda planning to take the throne? Does she have some sort of trauma after her century-long battle against Ganon at Hyrule Castle? Why does she react to Ganondorf's name, but doesn't link him to Calamity Ganon? Why did the Sheikah tech that was so central in BotW disappear, especially the Divine Beasts? I care about this world and its characters, I want it to feel like a real place and to see it evolve. But then stuff like this really reminds you that this is just a video game world, and that Nintendo doesn't really seem to care. And if things can be retconned any moment even in a direct sequel, then… why should I feel invested?
– There was a real waste of potential with the Light Dragon and Zelda just transforming back thanks to Rauru and Sonia (btw couldn't they have helped if they could appear anytime and still had that kind of power?). I find it so disappointing that Link doesn't have to do anything to help Zelda, it almost happens by accident. Mineru also said it was irreversible, but in the end it's no big deal (they shouldn't establish something and then ignore it like that). If only Link had to use the Triforce or something. I didn't want Zelda to stay a dragon but sometimes I wonder if it wouldn't have been a better ending.
– It also really doesn't help that Link feels so disconnected from the main story. In BotW he was also experimenting the story through flashbacks but at least they were his own memories and they fleshed out his relationship with Zelda and the other Champions. Here Zelda is the one experimenting the best part of the story, and to make it worse you can find the memories in any order and get badly spoiled. It could have been so cool if Link also time traveled at some point and could explore ancient Hyrule (and they could have done something crazy like Link and Zelda being the ones to seal Ganondorf in the past, which would lead to his transformation into Calamity Ganon). Link is also so expressionless (except when cooking and all) that I find it hard to care when he doesn't seem to. Imagine how different Zelda sealing herself would feel in Skyward Sword if Sky didn't act so distraught. In the same way TotK would hit a lot harder if Link did stuff like falling to his knees after seeing Zelda's last memory.
– I also think that the hands/cooperation theme the devs talked about in interviews is a bit weak and cliché (with characters reminding Link and Rauru that they don't have to do things alone and that they're stronger together, stuff like that). First I don't find it very interesting compared to what games such as OoT, MM or Wind Waker did, and then Link being able to fight Ganondorf alone from the start kind of throws it out the window (and Rauru also ends up sealing Ganondorf on his own). The Sages are not even with Link outside of the dungeons, they just create creepy copies of themselves (and I found them so annoying I never activated them, except for Tulin when flying). But yeah sure they shake hands and vow to help Link. I still think him being accompanied by the Champion's spirits in BotW worked a lot better, and their powers were also more useful. I guess seeing everyone working together to rebuild Hyrule would have made that theme more meaningful. The thing I really liked about this though was Link finally catching Zelda in the end after failing at the beginning of the game, that was a really beautiful scene.
– Also I said it above but I don’t want everything to be explained by Buddhism/Shintoism parallels, especially if the game just expects you to get it without providing context. Let Hyrule be it’s own thing.
So I know this isn't only about lore, but these are the main reasons why I'm not very interested in TotK. To sum up I'd say that the game lacks some kind of depth and has a lot of wasted potential, and it also makes it clear that it's pointless to care about continuity. BotW Hyrule was interesting and I think a lot of things could have been done about existing races instead of adding a new one but not bothering to do much with it. Just bringing Ganondorf back in this version of Hyrule and see how the Gerudo react to him could be so interesting!! Some concepts were also excellent but didn't really go anywhere, like the Depths and the Sky Islands.
Honestly I haven't thought about all these side quests and minor characters yet, I'm still trying to sort things out with the main story ^^ But I don't think I'll touch the ones you mentioned, they were fine. I liked the thing with the Eighth Heroine as well, I've seen a lot of people complaining about it but it's one of the only things in the game I actually found interesting. I just can't unsee the parallel with Link and the Seven Sages (of course).
What I'll be doing for sure is making some of the quests and events more serious, I'm kind of aiming for a darker tone. Most of the quests are quite fun (especially the "potential princess sightings" ones), but I feel like this game really lacks some sense of danger and urgency. For example couldn't the people in Hateno have more pressing problems than making cheese or choosing between Cece and Reede? Or was it really a good idea to make lighthearted little quests about misanderstandings with Zelda when her disappearance should be driving Link mad? (I should have included that in my little rant above haha)
I'd also love to make the pirates in Lurelin something more interesting than just a bunch of Bokoblins, but I'm not there yet. And rebuilding the exact same village was kind of meh.
About the Gerudo questioning their traditions, I'm actually planning for my Ganondorf to be a lot more active and go to Gerudo Town in order to meet his people (I want him to care about them, so he wouldn't attack them the same way he targets the others). I don't have all the details yet but I'm pretty sure there will be a conflict between Riju's supporters and other Gerudo who believe he's their rightful ruler (at first they wouldn't know he's actually that one king who turned into Calamity Ganon). So that's another tradition for them to question.
The consequences of Ganondorf being the only Gerudo male are something I've been wondering about as well. Add to that the fact that he's raised to be king because he's male (and maybe even kind of worshiped by his people) and you get something that can turn nasty real quick. Though I also wonder if Gerudo aren't different from Hylians. You said you hc that the Gerudo are only women because they were cursed so it makes sense that you would view it this way, but on my part I believe that's just how they were created. For that reason I think this is natural for them, so it's possible that it doesn't cause exactly the same problems it would for us or for Hylians.
About Demise, yes of course Ganondorf is more than just Demise's hatred. But in this game it doesn't seem to matter, he kind of turns into a second Demise as soon as he gets his secret stone and his motivations instantly go from conquering/ruling to destroying everything and everyone. They could have done something a lot more nuanced or at least shown a more gradual transition, with him being more and more consumed by his hatred and loosing control for example. I don't know, anything that would look less like a comically caricatural villain riding a demon unicorn.
Also about Demise's curse, I always thought it sounded more like a warning than an actual curse, and I remember reading somewhere that this was the intention in the original Japanese text. In French Demise even says something like "you must never forget, history will repeat itself" instead of "I will rise again", and he and speaks of the curse of the demon tribe (implying that it existed before). Even in English it doesn't sound like Demise himself is casting a curse: "Those like you… Those who share the blood of the Goddess and the spirit of the Hero… They are eternally bound to this curse". He doesn't say "I curse you" or "I bound you to this curse". I feel like this makes a difference (the curse already exists). This is why I interpret it as him basically saying that evil will not die with him and that Link and Zelda/the Hylians as a whole will always have to fight the demon tribe, but not necessarily his reincarnation. So I don't even believe that Demise himself is influencing Ganondorf in any way.
About the Zonai Zelda explains she studied them at the beginning of TotK and recognizes what's depicted on the murals, so it seems strange that sky beings could get mixed with a tribe of barbarians living in the woods. But yeah history getting lost and mixed is the only explanation for this.
Oh you're completely right about the Mogma, I got the same vibe from them! And a Mogma mafia sounds hilarious ^^ I love the Rocktato, Link would definitely eat something like that 😆
I need to take some time to read through your master list, it all looks very promising!
