So Vee and I have been a little bit obsessing over Arcane recently, with the second season having aired, and it inspired me to try and draw Alex in something like the style of the show. It was a real challenge but I really enjoyed it! I decided to turn it into a phone wallpaper, in case any of you weirdos want a bloody, angry Alex to greet you when you get a text or when your alarm goes off in the morning 😂 More versions are under the cut-- one with a little more space for icons on your home screen if that's your preference. I also included a closeup and the sketch, for those who are interested!

one of the best fics i've ever read, one that had me addicted to my phone and crying, wasn't even prose. it was a huge, casual, bullet-pointed outline with every detail of an au that the author never got around to writing in full. and it was amazing.

let this be a message to all you who want to write but can't do it "normally": write it! someone out there will eat it up. whether that be poetry, tiny drabbles, or bullet pointed list: your work is always worth it. your art (yes, art!) will alway deserve to have its moment in the spotlight. why? because you made it. even if it wasn't done in a traditional matter, it came from your brain and your creativity and that is amazing.

My goal for October is to celebrate Spooky season with a bunch of Halloween-themed drawings that keep it fun and loose. I'm hoping it'll re-energize me to take pressure off of renders and help me get some more practice in greater quantity. Anyway, here's Alex, joyfully committing murder.

Character Profile: Alyosha Shvedov

This charming goof, with dimples that just won't quit, is the first character we've profiled who doesn't have a knack. He is power-less. Fun fact, while all members of SolCorp have a knack (unless it was harmful and removed), members of the Entropy Games Inc (the antagonist) are made up of both knacked and unknacked humans working in alliance.

One character's response to finding out he used to work for Entropy about sums him up:

shaming and making fun of people for still engaging in fandom activities once they reach a certain age is so embarrassing because why are you giving yourself an expiration date of time you have fun? why are you not-so-indirectly saying you will stop having fun once you reach a certain age? or do you really believe you have to stop engaging in fandom activities and having fun once you turn (x)? do you not think you will, what, live that long and turn that age too? do you think fun will suddenly stop for you and life will all of a sudden lose its meaning once you reach a certain age? how sad to be giving yourself an hourglass and just waiting for your time of having fun to run out.

adults can and should engage in fandom activities if it's what makes them happy.

adults can and should continue doing whatever they like doing as teenagers if it's what makes them happy.

age is just... part of life. it's a part of me and it's a part of you. shaming people for something you will have to go through (unless you don't think you will live that long) is such a loser behavior. indirectly saying you will stop having fun once you reach a certain age isn't the flex you think it is. it doesn't make you look "cool and edgy", it makes you look miserable.
