I'm now back in my wrist splint and possibly using a cane tomorrow and (maybe) the day after

I exchanged the metal inlay of my new (light-weight, breezy) wrist-splint with the metal inlay of my favourite (padded, sturdier) wrist splint and I swear I’m never going back!!

This new “hybrid” is so perfect, I’m getting emotional

My other “summer option” is using bandages (the martial arts variety) since they are less stuffy and are very versatile but I prefer a splint over a support bandage, usually.

Steve needing to wear a wrist splint due to the upside down trauma and the nerve damage built up. And everyone tries to be very nice about it, going out of their way to make things easier.

Eddie and Robin are the only ones treating him almost the same. Sure, they avoid his bad hand, more aware of his limits and not pushing them... but they still shove him around, throw things at him, tease and mock him.

They still treat him like Steve. But Steve doesn't know how to tell the others that without sounding ungrateful for how kind they're being. It takes Robin pushing him, insisting that it's not him being mean or bitchy to set bounderies.

Both of them hover behind the others so they can silently cheer him on when he finally does sit them down and explains how he's feeling.

I'm 100% serious when I say that if anyone buys the Cutie Breeze quilting frame for me, I'll make a quilt for them equal to the amount they paid for it. It's on my Throne list. This thing will make it possible for me to machine quilt using my regular machine while treating it like a longarm machine. I'll be finishing soooooo many quilts, and they'll be less expensive because it's done on a machine and take significantly less time than what handquilting involves.

I'll need to practice before I'm comfortable selling what I finish, so those quilts I make will be at a discounted price.

There's a very real possibility I have EDS. Even if I don't, I live with chronic wrist pain in both wrists, and tendonitis in my left hand and thumb. This device will serve as an accommodation for these issues.

tripped on my laptop charger cord trying to get into my bed, caught myself on my fingers and had the sudden realization most other people probably don't have their fingers feel jammed or have them go too far back when they catch themselves on a mattress.
