Top: illustration from an article about Wrecking Crew in a 1985 issue of the Japanese Famitsu magazine, depicting Luigi with an R on his chest due to the illustrator basing this on a romanization of his Japanese name, ルイージ ("Ruiji") instead of the official English translation.

Bottom: a similar error was made much later in 1993 where officially licensed Mario & Wario merchandise spelled his name as "Ruigi".

Fact: Spike is a middle-aged construction worker and Mario’s “original rival” from his time as a building demolition worker on the Wrecking Crew.

Spike worked with Bowser to get vengeance on Mario in Wrecking Crew '98 and returned to play golf with Mario in Mobile Golf.

You may think its a VS. adaptation of the NES game, but this one actually came first! And there's a weird axe guy that never came back!

Desperate times come in desperate measures as Tigra, Hunter's Moon and even Wrecker went to Asgard to break the imprisoned Khonshu out from prison. In the Temple of the First Blasphemy at New York, evil-Blade and the vampires prepare to sacrifice Thor on the alter when he notices the full moon in the dark sky. It turns out that with the full moon, it means that Khonshu the moon god has released the Fists of Khonshu army led by the resurrected Moon Knight. Marc Spector the Moon Knight is back! Moon Knight and his army are appearing all over the cities and kicking vampire asses. Back to the Temple, Black Panther tries to strike at the distracted evil-Blade but he gets caught by the tendril. However, with evil-Blade distracted, Thor gets up and he is ready to fight him. Also, several Avengers came down as reinforcements to fight alongside with Thor.
