i fucking love the fact that mafuyu and shizuku do archery. also that means that they’re probably canonically strong in upper body, and the more i think about that the more i fuck with it like yes those two are absolutely the two characters to be strongest in upper body of the cast. have you seen their characters. maybe it’s because both their characters have themes of carrying heavy burdens, or just carrying everything in general. with shizuku’s past of being leader of her idol group, being perfect for the face of it all, and with mafuyu’s perfect responsible good girl act, always helping out, always carrying people’s troubles. wait. i’m off track

So yes I have OF COURSE read @naffeclipse new fic Apex Polarity and yes, I AM OBSESSED!

So I decided to make a little comic of how I think their "first encounter" might have looked like from Eclipse's perspective.

I can't help but think about how alien and scary we most look to him (especially if there is a history of fasco hunting polar sirens in the past). With all that gear we look like emotionless beings, just observing and uncaring of this ice world. But then when y/n shows up and probably exudes this joy and wonder for his world + shows respect for the creatures and the environment??? Mmh yeah, I can see Eclipse falling for y/n, especially considering how alone he might be...

So yes, that's what I have for today! If you want to read the fic I'll link it right here. I can't recommend it enough, but as always, read the tags so you know what you're getting into! And lastly I also want to @themeeplord beacuse Eclipse's design is basically their design in my style (god I love their design so much, their character/creature designs are the BEST) so all the credit goes to them! #text #art #eyestrain #cw eystrain #bright colors #cw bright colors #tetris #nintendo #god i dont know what to tag this with. i dont wanna tag it with the podcasts themselves cuz that feels disingenuous. swagever #i actually started this piece a while ago. ok yeah looking at the date that was almost 3 weeks ago wow #but i finally decided to bring it back and finish it #ive been getting back into digital art and its been really nice. its nice having finished pieces.#ive been trying to get weirder with my art. like this piece was weirdly 'personal' in a sense #its been my unique experience listening to these pieces of media. the game in the bg is jsut as important to my experience as the art itsel #the looming sense of dread these podcasts give fit weirdly well with the high tension of some of these games of tetris #i wanted to have that sorta weird ominous vibe to it. have even the pieces feel loud and threatening.#and the gameplay being Past the ds itself is something i thought could be neat #ykno the tetris effect? where you play a bunch and then after you see the shapes everywhere;you play it in your mind?#that was part of what i wanted to channel there. but also like; how your attention works with this stuff #i might be looking straight at the ds but my attention is elsewhere; my brain is in another world #the game is still inescapable tho. tetris effect whatever. these stories stick in my brain just as much.#its all given me some. very very annoyingn anxiety. but i have to go back to them. like a moth to a flame etc. hince the moth climbing out #but uh yeah. that set up was my life for a few weeks whenever i had free time.#the main podcast this is about was magnus btw <- not typing full name so im not on the tag #and uh.#objectum #yeah i think. i think yeah.

something about people calling vrisrezi "toxic yuri" always puts me off. i understand the lack of words to really put their dynamic but like you know theyre in a relationship thats largely good for them right. they arent dating because "it sucks but it would be worse without each other" they genuinely really love each other a lot

#just as a baseline understanding here i am outright stating that their moiraillegance is a romantic relationship which includes kissing etc #if u cannot meet me on that level i dont think i really want to discuss vrisrezi with you #anyways its just so weird to me i dont know. i dont have a super great way of articulating it #they do Need each other they are codependent and its not necessarily healthy #but unhealthy does not equal toxic #they dont hurt each other on purpose they make each other so so happy and they do so much for each other and thats what makes them worse #because as much as they are universally destined to be together by the Laws of Paradox Space they are also universally doomed #and i mean straight up like. terezi is vriska's fp i feel like this is a given with the almost unambiguous bpd coding of vriska #and that isnt a type of relationship that vriska serket and terezi pyrope are exactly going to understand or manage well #but i also think that calling a favorite person relationship toxic by the nature of it regardless of who specifically is in it #is really gross? and harmful? and it doesnt make you sound cool when you talk about vrisrezi like that #ok wow this got really really out of hand. vrisrezi isnt really “toxic” if you read the comic thank you good night #vriska #terezi #my posts ::::)
