#the tiny house i based my own blue print off of is for sale at 110000 across the country#if my ass weren't broke id hop on that and drive all the way over to get it#but also 110k for a tiny house on wheels is pretty outrageous especially when these things were originally marked at a cap of 65k#once upon a year now no one can afford them#i do want a home someday and I'm also finding I'm nomadic by nature#dream would be have a “home base” with land thats permanent#but as soon as winter comes i can pack up and move south or wherever is warmer for several months before returning#that would be great for minimizing fibro flares getting away from the cold#heck if remote work ends up getting me good money after i pay off a huge chunk of medical debt i wouldn't mind#being a digital nomad for a few months out of the year#go see people i like across the pond see pompeii see rome see ireland see spain see australia see japan#so many....#theres people that want to hear the pitter patter of tiny feet before they die#then theres me that wants to see all the cool ancient human things before it disappears or before i leave earth and go home#one of the few big fears i have is it wont happen in this life#but hey i didnt think i was gonna make it past 23 let alone make it to 32#i didnt think i was ever gonna get out of my abusive household and out of my old shitty life#but im here so who knows what could happen right?#not magenta or fuchsia but some other pink variation#i just need to roll out a pink color palette and start assigning emotions to them at this point 😂#magenta is my vent word#fuchsia is my vent word for good things#idk wtf this is its a combo

ok but. my flamin’ hot take is that hw’s tendency to lock lore/character/relationship info behind a paywall kind of does more harm than good when gen 3 (particularly lxl, hiyori, and chizuchan) is involved

Moving into the process of wrapping up my reading for the year! I won't hit my optimistic reading goal (let's be real: I've been behind since February) but I have stayed on top of the books I wanted to get to this year. For November and December, I have all of three TBR books I need to read; the rest can be mood reading if I want.
Currently Reading:
Lords and Ladies by Terry Pratchett - a little over 100 pages left
Etiquette and Espionage by Gail Carriger - I only got about an hour into this one yesterday
TBR:
The Quiet at the End of the World by Lauren James - 335 pages (my last Alphabet Challenge book! and if this one doesn't work out, I have several other "Q" options)

#mine#2024 reading list#IF I were to actually hit my overall reading goal for the year#I would need to read 12/13 books in November and another 12/13 in December#somehow I don't see that happening#especially when most of the books still on my 2024 TBR are printed#averaging at 330 pages/book that's like 130-odd pages a day#I have not been that fast of a reader since I was a teenager with no job and no social life#and even then I wasn't reading that EVERY DAY#I'm thinking I'll manage another 10-ish books this year#which? that's still a great total for the year AND I've had a great year in terms of:#1) getting through my TBR#2) finding some excellent nonfiction#3) finding a few new favorites#next year's TBR is MUCH shorter#hoping to make next year more of a writing year

IDK how much longer I'll be in this house but I have finally achieved a life goal, i.e. to have a print of something by L.S. Lowry hanging in my room
#Now if I could just find something by John Atkinson Grimshaw to go with it that would be great#Then I can fill any other space with ornaments or more local/unique prints that I find over the next few years#Assuming I'm still in this house that is and even though I like quite a minimalist lay-out where possible#I love the idea of maximalism but I am very untidy and easily stressed by mess so wouldn't be able to do it properly#At least if things are hanging on the wall they don't tend to get so cluttered or make a mess#Neither Lowry nor Atkinson Grimshaw quite make it to 'favourite artist' status with me but they go well with the room and I love them both#Earth and Stone

I think it would be real cool if I could make a living by spending all my time making crafts and artworks of all sorts that I really enjoy and then touring around as much as I can to events to sell those artworks. I think it would rock to be able to have a job where I sell things I make - but I'm so so invested in the physical I don't think I'll ever succeed doing digital art commissions. I really liked when back when I was growing up my mom had a jewelry business and we'd sell the stuff at booths at events. You get exposed to a lot of different artists that way, you get to listen to live music, you get to eat nice food. It's so enriching even if it's really just sitting at a table for hours and hours and maybe getting to walk around a bit. I honestly like the idea so much

i have a bigass (250ml) bottle of white lino ink and to this day i have no idea what im supposed to do with that
#printing white on black paper is very iffy#and im a somewhat passable printer but i would say im definitely not great#im better at the carving and whatnot of lino#i would use it to make other colours go further but printing light colours on white paper isnt great either
