I'm not athletic. At least, that's what I thought growing up. I can't play competitive sports, so I had the story in my head that I wasn't athletic. To get ready to go into the USAF, I started doing aerobics regularly, because I "wasn't athletic" and I thought basic training was going to kill me. It turns out, I was able to work up to running a mile and a half and doing a certain number of push-ups and sit-ups pretty easily. I kept doing aerobics off and on because we had a yearly fitness test, which I always passed. Then, I started lifting weights and getting 45 minutes of aerobic activity in several times a week. Suddenly, the girl that "wasn't athletic" looked like this. Never believe all that negative self talk that's running through your head. APRIL 2020 FAVORITE THINGS.. QUARANTINE EDITION

Hey everyone! This months favorite things will be a little bit different.. it seems a bit lazy to me but I wanted to share with you a few things that I’ve been enjoying during this crazy time. I hope everyone is healthy and safe! Click below to find images and descriptions about my favorite candy, shows, app, pick - up services and trends. 

Strawberry Sour Patch Kids - Now, I’m not one to typically eat candy. I eat candy probably 1-2 times per year usually or as a treat here and there. I have to say, being stuck in the house has my cravings going insane so I got some sour patch kids! I remember liking the berries bag the best, but I believe they discontinued them so i got these and I am OBSESSED. If you enjoy the all red/pink packs of candies, try this if you haven’t! $3 

WorkoutWomen App - THE GYMS AREN’T OPEN, USE THIS APP! A coworker and friend suggested this app to me a while back and I used it consistently at home after work. I used to always get more excited about doing cardio over strength exercises, but it made me actually fall IN LOVE with them. I have been combining these workouts on this app along with 30 mins of some type of cardio - usually the treadmill or a dance fitness marshall workout (search him on youtube, he’s great!). This app also has cardio and full body workouts! It guides you directly to specif workouts like abs, butt, yoga, full body, arms, etc. They work, I’m so sore after them! 10/10 rating

The Big Show Show - If you have Netflix, I highly recommend this show. I watched this show so quickly with my bf, and we loved it. We laughed so hard the whole time. Yes, The Big Show is from WWE, but you don’t necessarily need to be interested in that to love this show! For us, it was cool to see him in a different environment while still touching upon his WWE career. 10/10 rating.

The Morning Show - The Morning show is on APPLE TV. It came out awhile ago, but I haven’t gotten Apple TV until I got my new phone, so I was SO excited I could finally watch this. If you haven’t seen it and have Apple TV, I highly suggest it. It does have disturbing content that involves sexual misconduct and drug abuse, so please use your discretion. If you remember what happened with Matt Lauer in NYC in real life, this is sort of similar to that. 

Pick Up Services - Don’t want to head to the store with this virus around? Walmart Pick up Grocery and Target Drive Up have been the top 2 for me! It is difficult to go online and pick a time slot for the Walmart Pick Up, but if you can get a pick up time I highly recommend this service. They will provide substitutions for your items if they’re out of stock or just refund your money. Target Drive Up is a good option as well, but they do not provide a lot of food items as Walmart does such as eggs, milk, etc. It’s super easy and a lower wait time than Walmart, about 4 hours or next day. GREAT FOR MOTHERS DAY GIFTS!

Silk Touch Up - This is an eyebrow shaper/ face shaver tool. I’m OBSESSED, it takes off a lot of hair and dead skin cells on all over the face. It shapes eyebrows perfectly and prepares your face for a perfect makeup application. Don’t forget to not use the same one too often - they can become dull and filled with bacteria. Comes in 3 pack or larger, generally $5 and up, Amazon 

Pastel Rainbow Nails - I used all ESSIE brand polishes for this look, but you can use any that you have. I chose 5 separate colors and created a rainbow look with them as shown above. I’ve done this look twice so far while in quarantine and it makes me feel so happy with the pops of colors and it’s so pretty to look at! We all know nail salons aren’t open or the safest to go to right now, so be creative with looks at home! Essie polishes, $9 each, Target, Ulta, Amazon
