FREE RICE - Official UN World Food Program free nonprofit game that Feeds those in Need!! https://freerice.com/
What does it do?
You play simple trivia games in-browser, and for every correct answer you will help raise "rice" (meaning money to go into emergency relief such as rice and other foods) to help feed those most in need.
Freerice officially works with the United Nations World Food Program (see: https://unric.org/en/freerice/ ), which serves, as of writing:
State of Palestine
Afghanistan
Ethiopia
Ukraine
Sudan
Yemen
See more listed here: https://www.wfp.org/emergencies, as linked from Freerice
How does it work?
Private sponsors now match the rice grains earned in the game. Every question you answer correctly earns 10 grains of rice, triggering a financial payment to WFP. The donations generated through Freerice help support WFP's work in emergencies around the world. (source: https://freerice.com/frequently-asked-questions )
100% of all funds generated via Freerice go to the World Food Programme. Freerice does not earn or keep any money it raises.(source: https://freerice.com/about-us)

Incorrect, the fact that Biden has dropped out and a candidate with history of supporting medicare for all and being more receptive to a ceasefire in the I/P conflict has made me go from "I cannot morally support the Democratic nominee" to "I am voting for the Democratic nominee despite the fact she isn't perfect in every respect." I'm really happy this played out. The Dems for the most part abandoned the old Obama platform and it feels like its possible an actual progressive agenda could come to pass in my lifetime.
Kamala 2024!
If you weren't going to vote Democratic in this election before Biden dropped out you're a dorkass loser who does not care about any of the issues you're yammering about here and also a fundamentally bad person, and I hope you get run over by a bus.
But you got one thing right in all of this gibberish, Kamala 2024.
#personal#answered#anonymous#i mean let's be clear here no president is gonna attempt to be progressive ever again within my lifetime#because joe biden tried to do like 25% of that and got ZERO fucking credit#he did so much on healthcare on reform on loans on so many social issues and for all his litany of failings on i/p#he has been distinctly harsher on netanyahu than a good chunk of dems and certainly the entire republican party#for the first time since i was four we are not involved in any wars as americans and that is thanks to joe biden#but the thing is that he gets no credit for any of it!#him pulling out of afghanistan caused his approvals to tank in a way that never recovered#and leftists gave him FUCK ALL for it#they gave him nothing they just continued whining that even tho he cancelled a bajillion in student loans#he didn't actually cancel a QUADRILLION dollars so both parties are the same and voting is the most arduous task known to man#no democrat who is running is going to forget that catering to leftist/progressive policies gets them zero leeway with those supporters#that it not only tanks numbers but you still get constant haranguing about it anyway#so they're not gonna do it#we are gonna get fuckall for at least a good fifty years#and anything we get will be utterly in SPITE of people like you anon it will happen in spite of everything you've done#mostly because of people like me and mine who understand that voting is the bare minimum#and that for the democratic process to work the way you want it to you need to participate and not pitch a fucking fit#like a four year old who was told they can't go to disney this weekend#like i know you ratfuckers are happy this played out because this is all a game to you and you don't actually care#but that's why i've got zero faith in you people and why i'm glad it's my kind of folks#actual die hard democrats who have always been hardliners for supporting democrats in every possible election#who are picking up the slack and donating to harris and supporting her agenda#which is the exact same as biden's because she's his vice president and they share they same platform#because that's what they were both running on! twice!#anyway fuck you please feel free to find a necktie and test how tall your doorframe is

"The door of the coliseum was a bit open and the ticket-seller had gone. We got behind the glasses of the covered basketball field. The man holding the microphone was taking a nap and the cyclist was cycling all alone, as if he is doing it for god’s eyes."

What do you mean the US government lied about Afghanistan? Living in Afghanistan sucks, especially for women
I will try and explain this to you simply, but the Taliban was created and backed by the CIA because the US was concerned about Afghanistan having just been invaded by the USSR, a socialist state, because the US has a vested interest in maintaining the capitalist system. The US govt helped create and fund the Taliban, then used the existence of the Taliban as an excuse to kill, torture, and drone strike Afghani citizens thereby making them (justifiably) enraged about the US, thus creating further radicalization and pushing people (specifically young men) towards militant extremist ideologies like ISIS, The Taliban, and Al Queda, giving the US more incentive to keep torturing and murdering people in Afghanistan. Why did they do this? To stop the spread of socialism and to steal natural resources like coal and gas from the SWANA (south west Asia and North Africa) region. The US GOVT ADMITS TO THIS AND THEY DO NOT HIDE IT
Here’s a quote from the council on foreign relations!

Here’s a Washington Post article about it
And a short 3 pager on JSTOR

i literally want to move to another country and be accepted into a small, pastoral village to farm and giggle with women while we collect wood and spin yarn.
i would use my saved money to fund a resource that would benefit the community when i arrive and then just live a normal life.
#this is life is not normal and i feel so disregulated#i see that image of the women in her boat picking flowers or there a picture of women in afghanistan having lunch on the farm#jk the women are iranian#i know its really hard work and dont want to glamourize but it feels much more human than what we have going on here

Christine Woods in Flashforward (2009) Playing Cards with Coyote
E8
The discovery of a person in Mark's flashforward impedes a romantic getaway with Olivia. Aaron discovers information about his daughter. Simon and Lloyd attempt to resolve a conflict, and Janis returns to the Bureau.
*First appearance of the the Quantum Entanglement Devices. First Ingrid Alvarez says she heard the men she saw talking about something that "sounded like QED". In the next scene, during the poker game between Simon and Lloyd, Simon mentions "QED" but does not explain what it means. Later, Janis shows Wedeck the new rendering by NSA of Suspect Zero that shows the man had a ring in his finger. In the final scene, we see six rings, but it is not yet revealed that *they* are the Quantum Entanglement Devices.

Israel has worked hard to portray Gaza as a barren wasteland, backwater that is a terrorist stronghold. In reality, Gaza is a beautiful city/region with a rich history that has been decimated from constant bombings and strangled by the blockade. So much of what is being destroyed by Israel are restaurants, bookshops, schools, universities, houses and much of what contributes to life in Gaza and people’s livelihoods. Places that are attached to and filled with the memories of Palestinians in Gaza. It’s not just about making life miserable for the people who live there, but about projecting a particular image of Gaza to the world. This is also similar to how the US has portrayed places like Afghanistan to justify its invasions.

David McBride is I think the funniest whistleblower in history, in a very dark sort of way.
Military lawyer David McBride is mad that the SAS keeps getting "wrongfully accused" of war crimes. He thinks the whole thing is all trumped up political bullshit and the investigations into them are illegal. The boys out there are just doing their jobs, but the top brass keep breathing down their necks casting aspersions on them.
He gets in touch with investigative journalist Dan Oakes to try and get his story out about how awful their treatment has been. He hands over a trove of classified military documents to support his case.
Dan Oakes takes one look at these documents and goes what the fuck. these guys are doing insane amounts of war crimes.
Oakes releases a bombshell article 12 months later about war crimes in Afghanistan, making a compelling case that they should be investigated harder over their conduct, essentially the exact opposite story that McBride wanted him to write.
The Australian Federal Police work out pretty quickly that McBride was the one who leaked those files to the press, and he flees to Spain for a time but eventually returns to Australia and is arrested. He faces time in jail for leaking the files.
Fortunately for him he also finds a trove of supporters. They help raise money to pay his legal fees and protest to raise awareness of the miscarriage of justice held against him. Unfortunately, this support is mostly predicated on the premise that he bravely risked it all to spread the word about the horrible crimes the SAS had been committing. He would prefer to correct them about this, but he is not really in a position to refuse their help.
It is something of an awkward situation.

We’ve all heard about what happened in Afghanistan, where women have lost all their human rights, but something else has come to light. You see men from all over the world expressing that they wish this could happen everywhere. I’m saying this because I want women to see the bigger problem here. Men worldwide are unhappy that women are independent. They would love to see women silenced, to strip away our rights. That’s what many men want, and it’s visible everywhere. I see it on Twitter and TikTok. The number of men out there who want the worst for women, who hate the idea of women working, who despise women’s independence, who believe women should belong to them is crazy. That’s why we, as women, have to be more careful, more awake, more focused, and conscious. It’s a very dangerous time for us now. As women become more independent and knowledgeable, men want to fight us and any progress made.

Ambassador Stevens was sent to Benghazi to secretly retrieve US made Stinger Missiles that the State Dept had supplied to Ansar al Sharia in Libya WITHOUT Congressional oversight or permission.
Sec State Hillary Clinton had brokered the Libya deal through Ambassador Stevens and a Private Arms Dealer named Marc Turi, but some of the shoulder fired Stinger Missiles ended up in Afghanistan where they were used against our own military. On July 25th, 2012, a US Chinook helicopter was downed by one of them. Not destroyed only because the idiot Taliban didn't arm the missile. The helicopter didn't explode, but it had to land and an ordnance team recovered the missile’s serial number which led back to a cache of Stinger Missiles kept in
Qatar by the CIA.
Obama and Hillary were in full panic mode, so Ambassador Stevens was sent to Benghazi to retrieve the rest of the Stinger Missiles. This was a "do-or-die" mission, which explains the Stand Down Orders given to multiple rescue teams during the siege of the US Embassy.
It was the State Dept, NOT the CIA, that supplied the Stinger Missiles to our sworn enemies because Gen. Petraeus at CIA would not approve supplying the deadly missiles due to their potential use against commercial aircraft. So then, Obama threw Gen. Petraeus under the bus when he refused to testify in support of Obama’s phony claim of a “spontaneous uprising caused by a YouTube video that insulted Muslims.”
Obama and Hillary committed TREASON!
THIS is what the investigation is all about, WHY she had a Private Server, (in order to delete the digital evidence), and WHY Obama, two weeks after the attack, told the UN that the attack was the result of the YouTube video, even though everyone KNEW it was not.
Furthermore, the Taliban knew that the administration had aided and abetted the enemy WITHOUT Congressional oversight or permission, so they began pressuring (blackmailing) the Obama Administration to release five Taliban generals being held at Guantanamo.
Bowe Bergdahl was just a useful pawn used to cover the release of the Taliban generals. Everyone knew Bergdahl was a traitor but Obama used Bergdahl’s exchange for the five Taliban generals to cover that Obama was being coerced by the Taliban about the unauthorized Stinger Missile deal.
So we have a traitor as POTUS that is not only corrupt, but compromised, as well and a Sec of State that is a serial liar, who perjured herself multiple times at the Congressional Hearings on Benghazi. Perhaps this is why no military aircraft were called upon for help in Benghazi: because the administration knew that our enemies had Stinger Missiles that, if used to down those planes, would likely be traced back to the CIA cache in Qatar and then to the State Dept’s illegitimate arms deal in Libya.
They sold out our own Ambassador and àll of our men they could have rescued. What makes you think they wouldn't do the same to you? Thanks Obama, Biden, Hillary and all that worked with you, against our own men.
