love/hate my wolfdog roots. too dog–like to be with the wolves, too wolf–like to be with the dogs. domestic enough to be a pet, but wild enough to let loose. why should i be both? why can’t i pick a side? too vicious to be affable. too affable to be vicious. too normal to be outcasted. too outcasted to be normal. is this still about wolfdogs?

I think I’m finally coming to terms that I am a wolfdog. I’ll always try and convince myself that I’m a wild wolf from Yellowstone but the pieces never fit together. I suppose it almost mirrors myself socially. Having only one person to depend on rather than an actual pack with people that are like me. Unsure if that makes sense, it does to me anyway.

All my life I’ve never really fit into society, similar to a wolfdog living in a household. It’s not ‘common’ or ‘normal’ unlike your average dog breed.

I absolutely adore everyone here, they turned out so well. Mae's attitude/softness is so gently conveyed. Shes visibly talkin to u with her face! What is she sayin?! Coelocanth just scuffin his feets with hands in his pocket. His tail is just so pleasing here. Hes such a gender.

Then as always we have our Mitten and Zim. She's poking at his antennae and he's acting annoyed, though you can see he's leaning it toward her to reach better. And holding her up still. He loves her so much.

we could somewhat mask, but we were never high masking. after a couple of autism regressions, we are now low masking. we have got a lot of attacked emotionally for not acting "normal" or allistic by our mother. some alters try to mask, while most can't mask and don't try. masking is hard and scary. we understand people mask to survive, but we just can't do it anymore. we are visibly autistic and it is hard. we wish no one had to mask. we wish we didn't have to mask when we were younger. it's hard. everyone is doing their best. we hope we will get accepted even though we can't really mask anymore. we hope our new team and future friends will accept us - shane + others (shane drew image, others helped with caption)

Polymorph, not Omnimorph

When speaking of shapeshifters, and especially polymorphs it might sometimes come with the asumption that you can control what and to what extent you shift into. If not initially, one might assume with enough training they might be able to chose other forms, since you can shapeshift into multiple things.

We have shapeshifting abilities as a zmeu, it's in our nature. However, we noticed we can only shapeshift into one species per genus(ish).

This is easier to do because we're a system and alters have their own alter species. Unna from our system is a wolven creature and can shift into his form, but Vikka who's his sibling and a white wolfdog cannot. And for Kozel who is a tibetan fox, he can but only partially and with great difficulty.

The Mye subsystem, who are shapeshifters as alters, have the same limitations. Artemy likes to take the form of a Ruppel's Fox sometimes, but meets the same hurdles as Kozel. If he tries shifting into a lion, he meets little to no hurdles since we have no felines in our system. This became his usual form to adopt if he wants to use our abilites to shift out of our default jackrabbit form.

We're a jackrabbit and yet i, Lev, cannot shapeshift into a snowshoe hare even if it pains me at times.

Our body is a jackrabbit by fate not by choice. we'd love for our body's default form to be a european hare for example; we wouldnt feel as shit in our current climate. Or any other temperate or arctic hare, if i am to be honest. But Polymorph does not mean Omnimorph, and for us at least, shapeshifting has its limitations.

ive always felt nonhuman, i felt neglected as a child & was raised by my stuffed animals and animals on the TV. i acted like a cat for over 4 years. when i found the word “therian” it just stuck and made me realize that there was a word for it. plenty of my alters do have animal forms, most prominent right now is my protector Blade. He is a black german shepherd/wolfdog shapeshifter and though he isnt therian he does like to interact with the community sometimes. honestly, most of us dont really give a fuck about atypical identities—one of my headmates is literally a god and another is a gummy so therians arent even that odd to us. my headmate cody is a wolf therian and we really dont get treated any differently because of it. we exist to help eachother and thats what we do for the most part—really friendly up in here when we squash the bad guys.

Recently had an idea for my Persona anthro AUs where what would happen if I drew the P3 and P4 cast as anthro dogs like the P5 cast (since P5R was my first Persona game and wanted to draw anthro dogified designs for the P5 cast)

Then here would be my picks:

Gonna be honest, I actually did want to draw the P3 and P4 casts as anthro dogs but I kinda decided against it due to my original idea of making the Phantom Thieves the opposite species of Morgana. So I just decided to make the P3 and P4 casts the opposite of their "animal" character (Koromaru and Teddie*).

*musteloids are sometimes referred to as bears in some of their other names or in other languages (like raccoons being called wash bears or wolverines being called skunk bears) but they're not exactly related to bears

Is it just me that feels the need to like mark my scent on my bed and claim it as my own again after someone else has slept in it?? I will be lying there and feel like something isn’t right, and I just cannot sleep until I have rolled and rubbed myself on my bed. Then I’m like ah yes this is mine now
