Summary: After a particularly rough day, (Y/n) hides away from everyone around them. When Rhydian tracks them down, (Y/n) explains just how tired they truly are of the people they have to spend every day with.

Author's Note: This is kind of a thank you. Out of almost every imagine on this account, my Rhydian imagines are the ones that are consistently getting liked and read over a long period of time. This is just a cute little thank you to the Wolfblood fans.

I did miss writing for him.

STICK SEASON - NOAH KAHAN WRITING CHALLENGE MASTERLIST

I'm not sure how long I had been sitting out in the forest.

All I could remember was the school day ending and then running off. I wasn't ready to go home yet. I just needed some space. Fresh air.

I would like to think that was a healthy thing to desire at points.

"You need to find more original hiding spots."

I looked over when Rhydian spoke up.

He grinned at me. I just rolled my eyes a bit and turned to look out into the trees again. I heard him sigh and the leaves crunch as he walked over and sat down next to me.

"Wanna talk about it," he asked.

I shook my head. "Just... people."

He seemed to accept the answer for the time being. I moved and leaned my head on his shoulder. I felt his head lean against him.

He always seemed to be able to easily figure out when I was upset. He could always guess the exact moments that I needed him around. I wonder if he could see small signs that I didn't know about or if it was just some instinctual feeling he got.

I guess it didn't truly matter in the end.

Regardless of how he knew to be there, it was nice that he was there.

It was always nicer hiding in the trees than it was being at that school. Not everyone was horrible, but it was all so suffocating. I just needed the fresh air for a while. The calmness that I couldn't get in my normal life.

"We should run away."

I heard Rhydian scoff at me. "Why's that?"

"You ask that like you didn't spend your first few weeks here looking for a reason to run off," I muttered.

"It was not weeks," he replied.

"Yes, it was," I chuckled, moving to look at him. He shook his head.

"You didn't answer my question."

I sighed. "I just feel so... stuck."

"Alright..."

"You... You moved here," I tried to start explaining my thoughts. "I've grown up here. The same places, the same people, the same problems. I... I have always been stuck in this little bubble."

I pushed myself off the ground, turning to look at him.

"I don't get to experience what our lives are supposed to feel like," I motioned between the two of us. "I am just the same scared pup that I've always been! If running away is the only way to shake that feeling..."

I stopped, letting the sentence die without any conclusion.

Rhydian stood up, wiping the leaves off himself.

"Why don't you," he asked. I furrowed my eyebrows for a few moments and tilted my head. "I'm not trying to talk you into it, but you said it yourself, you've been here for a long time. What's keeping you here?"

I paused for a moment before a grin broke out on my face.

"What?"

"I got a bit distracted," I shrugged. His eyebrows furrowed this time. "By you, Rhydian."

"Oh..." he muttered before a smile formed. "Oh."

I chuckled. I walked forward and wrapped my arms around him, hiding my face in his shoulder.

"You make staying feel like it's worth it," I continued, feeling more comfortable knowing that he couldn't see my face for some reason. "All of the garbage and boringness. At least, there's you."

"That's so cheesy," he said before moving to kiss my head as I scoffed at him. "I feel the same way."

I almost complained as he stepped away. He had this little grin on his face. One that was very clearly a silent challenge without any words being spoken.

I was about to ask what he was thinking about before turned around and took off.

"Rhydian!"

He just laughed and kept running.

I ran after him, laughing to myself.

I did often feel stuck. Trapped or bored or locked in some endless time loop. But these moments... moments with Rhydian where I could forget about anything else waiting for us... made that bubble just a bit less suffocating.

To put it simply, he made home feel more like home again.

Title: Protective By Nature

Pairing: Rhydian Morris X Reader

Word Count: 707 words

Warning(s): Jealousy, almost a fight

Summary: The signs were subtle at first; holding (Y/n)’s hand a little bit harder, walking a little bit closer, constant glaring. Once it started evolving, (Y/n) was left to wonder why Rhydian got jealous so easily. 

Author’s Note: I swear I only write fluff for this fandom and it almost never has to do with the actual plot of the show. I hate the ending of this, by the way.

“Rhydian,” I whispered, holding back a laugh.

“Yeah,” he asked.

 “If you hold my hand any tighter, you’re going to break it,” I looked at our interlocked hands. 

Rhydian followed my gaze. His grip immediately loosened when he saw them. 

“I’m sorry,” he mumbled.

“It’s alright,” I nodded, looking back towards the front of the room. 

A few moments later, I felt Rhydian’s grip on my hand tighten again. I sighed and looked at him, only to see him glaring straight ahead. I furrowed my eyebrows, looking over his shoulder to see Jimmy staring at me.

When he spotted me, he waved at me with a smirk, not even bothering to look away. I rolled my eyes and turned away from him. 

“Don’t mind Jimmy,” I whispered to Rhydian. “He’s just being a jerk.”

“He’s staring.”

“Because he doesn’t understand basic boundaries. Please don’t worry about it.”

“Okay,” he grumbled. 

We were silent for the rest of the lesson. Whenever I felt Rhydian hold my hand tighter, I’d just rubbed my thumb along the side of his hand. I didn’t want to say this was normal but... Jimmy had a special way of getting under Rhydian’s skin. 

“Come on,” I said after class was dismissed. Rhydian pulled his hand from mine and started walking away. “Rhydian...”

I watched for a moment as he followed Jimmy out before shoving through the group, trying to stop him. Maddy, Tom, and Shannon noticed, following quickly behind me. I put a hand over my mouth when I saw Rhydian jump on Jimmy.

“Rhydian,” I shouted, sprinting over and kneeling by where he was.

I pushed on his chest with my hand. He stopped where he was, staring at me. There was an almost immediate look of regret on his face.

“Get up,” I said quietly, dragging him to his feet and to the darkroom. The other three were right behind us. I stopped in the doorway, “Buy us some time.”

They all nodded and I shut the door. I looked over at Rhydian, who almost looked scared. 

“What just happened,” I asked.

“He... He was staring,” Rhydian replied. “I didn’t like it.”

“Yeah, that’s happened before,” I said. “You’ve gripped my hand, you’ve glared, you’ve moved your bookbag in front of me so Jimmy couldn’t see. You’ve never attacked someone over that.”

“I know,” he looked down. 

I sighed, walking forward and grabbing his hands. He looked up to make eye contact with me.

“What happened,” I asked again. 

“It just got to me so much,” Rhydian leaned his forehead against mine. “You’re part of my pack now... and... I love you.”

“Really,” I mumbled, my eyes wide as I pulled back just a little bit. He nodded. I jumped and hugged him. Rhydian laughed at my reaction, hugging me back. “I love you too.”

He moved back and kissed me softly. I smiled into the kiss before pulling away. The door behind me opened slowly. We both looked over to see Shannon.

“Jeffries needs to see Rhydian as soon as he calms down,” she said awkwardly. 

“I don’t know how to explain this,” Rhydian replied awkwardly.

“Good luck,” I chuckled. He looked at me in shock. “I’m not gonna do any better.”

“I’ll see you later,” he kissed my head and I nodded at him. Shannon looked at me.

“What are you so smiley about,” she asked after he had left. 

“Nothing,” I shook my head and walked out with her. Maddy and Tom were standing outside. “Do you think Rhydian’s gonna be alright?”

“He’s gotten out of this before, he’ll do it again,” Maddy said. 

“Come on, we gotta get to class before we end up in trouble too,” Shannon added, pushing Maddy and me by our backs. 

“You two are cute, by the way,” Maddy added.

“Dang super hearing,” I chuckled, walking into my next class.

I knew that Rhydian was going to be a bit protective. I understood that. I just didn’t want him to get himself in trouble in order to do that. There was no reason for him to end up with bad consequences because of someone trying to be a jerk. Maybe keeping him out of trouble was my own version of being protective.

Summary: After they started dating, Rhydian and (Y/n) became known as the inseparable couple. When (Y/n) started to pull away a little, Rhydian gets nervous and thinks that they’re growing apart.

“(Y/n), (Y/n),” I turned around when I heard Rhydian calling my name. He ran up to me and wrapped his arm around me as we walked away from the school. “All of us are heading out to eat. Do you want to come?”

“Not tonight, alright,” I tapped his chest. 

“You alright,” he asked. I nodded.

“I’m just a little bit tired,” I shrugged. 

I leaned up and kissed his cheek before going to walk away. I sent a wave over my shoulder, feeling relieved when he waved back with a small grin.

--A Few Days Later--

I let out a sigh as I sat down on my bed. I had finished my homework and was finally going to relax. I opened up my book and shift a little bit to get comfortable... and then a rock hit my window.

“Why,” I mumbled sadly before going over to look at where it came from. Rhydian was standing on my lawn, looking up at my window. I opened the window. “I do have a front door.”

“Not as much fun,” he called up to me. “Can I come in?”

“Use the door,” I replied before rolling my eyes. I closed the window and waited. About a minute later, Rhydian was standing in my doorway. “Hi.”

“Hi,” he grinned at me. I sat back down and opened my book. 

I kind of ignored him when I felt the mattress shift next to me. It was pretty hard to ignore when Rhydian wrapped his arms around my waist and tried to curl into my side. Apparently, my arm was in his way.

“Can I help you,” I asked as I laughed at his behavior. 

“I missed you,” he mumbled. I furrowed my eyebrows.

“We see each other every day.”

“At school,” he added. “You haven’t been hanging out with me outside of class at all.”

“I’ve just been a little tired,” I shrugged. I closed my book and looked at him. “Now, why are you really here?”

“I needed to ask you something,” he mumbled, sitting up. “Do you still want to date me?”

“Of course I do,” I grabbed his hand. “Why wouldn’t I?”

“You’ve just been avoiding me,” he looked down.

“Rhydian,” I said quietly. “I haven’t been avoiding you. When I say that I’ve been tired, I mean I’ve been tired. This is the first night that I haven’t been continuously working. I just needed some time to recharge.”

“Really?”

“Really,” I replied. “I’m sorry for worrying you so much. How about I treat you to dinner this weekend?”

“Where would we go,” he asked with a small smile.

“You can pick,” I smiled back before kissing his forehead. 

“Okay,” he mumbled. I chuckled before leaning in to kiss him gently. My smile only got wider when I noticed him blushing. “Shush.”

I bit my lip and nodded before sighing and going to lay down. I closed my eyes and pretended like I couldn’t tell that Rhydian was looking at me. 

“What are you doing,” he asked.

“Napping,” I said simply. I felt the mattress shift next to me. I opened my eyes and looked over at Rhydian. My smile dropped a little bit. “I’m sorry.”

“It’s alright,” Rhydian scooted a little closer to me. 

I leaned over and kissed his cheek before getting comfortable again. I was right on the verge of falling asleep when I felt him kiss my forehead and wrap his arms around me.
