I’m having wolfblood thoughts because when Alric said that “you already have an alpha” and Rhydian doesn’t even have to think before being like “her name is Maddy actually” and that got me thinking about how he is so willing to battle for her at any moment.

His mom says like “the alpha male to her female” in reference to Jana and Rhydian but like… she has to know that he isn’t alpha? He’ll be in charge if he has to but consistently he’s Maddy’s sounding board.

Jana says she thinks he stole the laptop when it goes missing but he literally wouldn’t even consider it unless maddy asked him to or if Maddy had suggested it in passing. Like if Maddy had SUGGESTED “hey we could take it to show Shannon how easy she could lose it and expose our secret like just hide it” she could even backtrack but if Maddy is spitballing Rhydian would probably have done it and handed it to her like “you said maybe this was a good idea :))”

If they’d started dating sooner I guarantee a regular occurrence would have been

Maddy: wow the flowers are so pretty this time of year

This boy doesn’t Actually want to be in charge he’s the muscle. He’s Maddy’s rubber duck with a machine gun. This boy is so second in command coded, half the time all Maddy has to say is “Rhydian!!” And he flies off the handle. And the whole time Maddy is stressed that he has feelings for Jana he’s like I am growing Maddy’s pack! Make Maddy stronger. I am a very GoodBoy :)

When things go wrong the First thing he does is look at Maddy for orders. And she usually gives them. God I WISH we’d gotten more of them after season 3.

Since I am re-watching Wolfblood after a few years I have something to say about the ending of season 2 I have got that on my mind since I've first watched it

HOW COULD THEY BASICALLY CANCEL THE SHOW AFTER TWO SEASONS?! WE JUST HAD 20 EPISODES OF MADDY AND ONE OF MYDIAN

What bullshit to make the alpha leave after two seasons leaving her pack with her soulmate behind and then he follows her after season 3 and the original wolfbloods are gone

I hate it

Maybe I am going to re write it and make my own version of wolfblood which won't be over that quick

Okay Wolfblood house again.

Rn I'm thinking about two things, number one: Wolfbloods generally remember things when they're changed by the full moon. We know that with time and training, they can change at will, and we can definitely infer that memories are better kept that way. Rhydian doesn't remember much from his traumatic first turn versus Maddy remembering everything from hers. The Smiths scold Maddy for her staying up late and hitting Emma on the face with a shoe.

I just think that's an important piece of detail and a really neat choice that contradicts the traditional rampaging werewolf tropes because, like Maddy says: "we aren't monsters.'

Second thought.

It can't only be woldbloods, right? If the moon has such a deep magical and physiological ability on an entire species. Who's to say there aren't more? Now I'm not talking vampires. I'm mainly thinking things like Selkies or Mermaids, but that's purely because I like multiple secret populations doing such a good job at it that they don't know of eachothers existence. But you can very well ignore this second thought it's really nothing.

like. i'm so upset actually, y'all have no clue how desperately i wanted more scenes of maddy and rhydian being obnoxiously hyper while everyone around them is annoyed by how clingy they are. like kara making that smoochy noise on the bus i just know it's about them!!! and the tom and maddy clip like were we supposed to see them having breakfast the next morning??? i'm going to cry this episode should have been two parts or something, what do i have to do to get the extended cut or even just the script

Headcanon that Maddy and Rhydian were actually together the whole time and were toying with Tom and Shannon. Literally would be making out in the dark room every time they were both off screen. Hilarious
