On Altheia’s birthday (4/3) made before maintenance lol she was surrounded by loved ones here and gone.

Lalapril 2024 🎁 Day 29: Trail

(And Nameday!)

Aymeric led Hali up the trail to the entrance of Hali’s Island Sanctuary with her eyes closed. When they reached the top of the trail, Hali kept her eyes closed until Aymeric told her it was time to open them. Once she could see what was in front of her, she could hardly believe it. Aymeric had surprised her for her Nameday with decorating the whole cabin and workshops with nameday balloons, giant candy decorations, and a feast fit for royalty. Hali knew that she would have the best Nameday ever.

(She doesn't have a "real" nameday, considering the circumstances of her arrival on the Source... but this is the birthday I gave her in character creator! And I have a little fic in which she accepts a nameday for herself that I might share one day.)

Today is Rornir's name day! His nameday is the day I physically made him in game, so I could keep track of how long I've had the character. So he's one year old! He's 177 in Eitherys and has never really celebrated his nameday. this year was different. Between saving the world (and all of creation), marrying his soul mate and true love, and being surrounded by amasing people he loves. He's incredibly thankful for the people in his life. Today is a day for him to appreciate those in his life. And thank you to all of you for welcoming him (and me) into your feeds!

It was too quiet. Far too quiet for the usual subtle bustle of the cheerful port town that doubled as the Scions’ favored base of operations. And yet that was only the immediate surround of the steep stone docks of Vesper Bay, the lack of merchants’ echoes and haggling creating a suffocating silence as he strode back toward the place he’d so recently come to call home.  It was enough to make every ilm of his skin prickle, all his fur stand on end like he was a Miqo’tten whelp in the orphanage again, watching the sky fall and burn and Dalamud shatter, and terror settled in the pit of his stomach, heavier than lead. He’d only just spoken with Minfilia over the linkpearl less than thirty-six hours ago, just prior to boarding a ship from Limsa Lominsa. Was it possible something had happened in so short a time? Sometimes, he cursed the overkeen hearing of his sensitive ears. Even by Miqo’te standards he was particular about sound, catching odd whispers and echoes from yalms away on occasion and so this- silence. It clung to him like fear clung to prey. Ominous and looming.
