[My own Healer thoughts is below the 'Read More' to not clutter the poll].

Now, in my own case I mainly play as a White Mage/WHM while healing, so my favorite Tank is Paladin. They're basically fine with a Regen, and in a pinch I can also add Medica II's own Regen. Hell, if the duty is high enough lvl to let me use Asylum, that makes my life healing a Paladin even easier.

WHM has a lot of focus on pure healing, so I pair really well with Paladin's high defense and many shield skills. Granted I might be a bit biased too, since my main jobs are Paladin/WHM/Warrior, which means I also have a good idea of what a teammate Paladin can and can't do at certain levels.

With that said I don't mind DRK/Gunbreaker either, because even if they shoot themselves in the foot (like Gunbreaker's superbolide 😂) I can usually just Benedict them up to full in a pinch. They feel a little more squishy in the lower level dungeons/trials though, since I don't have any of my few shields/"take lower damage"-skills at that point to give them. Meanwhile a Gladiator/Paladin already has a few shield-skills they can use at a low level, which pairs really well in those dungeons I can still only use Cure I and maybe Medica/Cure II.
