I can't stress enough how this Fandom can be fxcking stupid so I'll take advantage of it to make a brief analysis
TikTok is back at it with being extremely gullible

people seriously believe this is Koyoharu Gotōge's official account. a quick glance would debunk it immediately, but if we wanna look into details there are mainly 3 things that are really obvious and they all piss me off SO bad:
1) they posted fanart. literal fanart, without consent, of course, and without any credits, badly cropped and filtered too. I couldn't see signatures in most of them, but I recognized some art styles and overall it's easy to spot non-official art when you also follow Ufotable's official account. from which, by the way, this fake account takes all of the content they post, then they write a silly and pseudo-cool caption and that's literally it. what's the point? one of the captions said something that quite fucking literally made me want to scream, joking about Shinobu possibly being Tengen's 4th wife because there was a pic in which their VAs were standing close....what. Gotōge would never say that???
2) they reply to fans, which isn't bad per se but let's be SO fr...and it's not even the worst part.
3) said replies include misinformation. saw them saying Masachika would be reincarnated as Sanemi's son or stepson (what the fuck) AND that Sanemi and Kanae would've been canon if Kanae didn't die, which, I'm sorry, is the fakest fucking thing I've ever read despite being a common misbelief.
I don't want to digress too much into this but imagine you're an author, you have the power over your characters and you decide to add a couple that will be doomed inevitably...you would make it canon, if it was supposed to be. you would AT LEAST make said crush remotely relevant in AT LEAST one of the two characters' arc...which it isn't. in ANY of the canon universes. the Academy is right there, the Timeskip is right there, both had Kanae alive and both don't make SaneKana canon, not even remotely. HEAVY ON THE TIMESKIP in which ObaMitsu are married, but they're canon in all the verses...Mitsuri had an actual impact on Obanai's character and even when there's silly trivia about him in databooks or even in the manga it always somehow involves Mitsuri, something that we did NOT see with Sanemi and Kanae.
now, as much as I would talk *endlessly* about this, I don't want to sound hateful to shippers, but it pisses me off that a Gotōge-wannabe is reinforcing the toxic shippers' delusions.
I would've lost my shit even if they said the same thing about my fav fanon ships, because it's FAKE.
if the author wanted them canon, they would be. there's no "if" nor "but", there was no excuse.
they clearly and luckily wanted to leave it to open interpretation
as an OC creator if I want a couple canon I simply write them in a way in which would make them canon in at least one AU 😭🙏🏻 tf
this being said please don't fall for such weird ass stuff 💔

Debunking common Lando Norris hate / misconceptions :)
Debunking common Lando Norris hate / misconceptions :)
Lando “bottles” starts / turn 1 - This is so overly misused and has led to so much ridicule, hate and toxic memes and harassment. What most people who use this don’t know or bother to look into is that Lando’s reaction times were actually always consistently in the top few times compared to the other drivers. For example, throughout the 2024 season, the commentators (helped by the AWS stats) noticed that Lando’s reaction times were on par with his rivals. However, the gears made a strange sound and indicated that, although the MCL38 took time to launch, it was not due to LN’s reaction time or start but rather related to the car. (See Zandvoort) Mclaren realised that the MCL38 had a glitch that had occurred in multiple races and events across the 2024 calendar: ”It wasn’t the smoothest of starts to the race for Lando, though, as he experienced a small glitch finding second gear during his acceleration from pole,” said Mclaren. Despite Mclaren’s eventual recognition of the mechanical fault they didn’t help dissipate the “bottler” narrative and continued to paint Lando in a negative, blaming light as seen in multiple points and situations throughout the season.
The “its luck not talent” comment from Brazil 2024. THIS WAS TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT BY THE MEDIA, He was not referring to Verstappen. Even if it was, Lando retracted the comment or rather the media twisting it in the FIA gala. And even talking about his win in Miami being lucky because of the safety car
The situation with Tr*mp in Miami, it was a bad situation all around however what do people expect him to do? All of the drivers are trained in PR and have to be careful and measured in response to the media and guests. Tr*mp was having a Republican party conference in the Paddock suite and visited Mclaren due to the location of their hospitality and garage. He also posed with several high ranking F1 officials including Lando’s direct boss Zak Brown and the heads of the FIA and F1. No person would risk speaking out when multiple people with authority over your job and status are interacting - specially in a time of high political divide. Also, Lando has mocked and expressed his hate for Tr*mp multiple times on stream in the past. He has also gotten in trouble for speaking about social issues in the past (along with Lewis and Seb) as the FIA have barred drivers from talking about their political beliefs and stances.
This is a good article by Planet F1 with more information and a good perspective on the way that Lando would have to be: “his comments sounded like a young sportsman desperately trying to stay neutral and not come down anywhere but sitting straight on the fence.” :
The truth behind Donald Trump’s Miami GP visit in a tale of unfortunate events
People calling Lando unsportsmanlike and not a Team player. Lando has always been extremely team centric and has said for years that he is motivated by his team and making his team proud. He has a very close relationship with a lot of his mechanics, often getting them tickets that they struggle to get, taking them out for dinner and keeping an eye on personal life details such as noticing when one of his mechanics got a dog. LN always thanks Oscar when he has the opportunity in both post race debriefs and pre podium interviews (see Singapore 24 and many others). In the 24 season he did multiple things for Oscar in terms of giving him points, wins and helping defend to protect Oscar’s position (In Baku 24, he held Perez off). In the Qatar Sprint Race, he unprompted and, actually against team direction, gifted Oscar the win as well and ensuring Oscar was in P2 in the first place by slowing down to give him DRS Slipstream the whole race. I personally don’t think Lando should have done this but it shows his good character - even in Hungary he did give Oscar the win.
And despite the horrific treatment and emotional manipulation by his team he still congratulated Oscar after the race, praised his talent and DID spray him with champagne despite popular misconception.
He regularly shows respect for all the drivers, having good rapport with most of them. And doing things like having a meeting with Franco Colapinto and his manager in Brazil and trying to help him with easing into the expectations and spotlight of being a F1 driver.
Lando isn’t perfect, he has done things that aren't ideal but he tries to learn from them. Most of the times he has acted imperfectly - like the Hungary cooldown room comment - was when he was coming down from an adrenaline high after a race where he was treated horribly by his team. In fact, Lewis said later he saw no harm in it.
Lando has always done a lot of charity work, raising money for causes like Dementia, deaf and blind children, BLM (e.g. "I’m Happy They Unfollowed Me"- Lando Norris Bashes His Racist Fans - EssentiallySports), NHS, and Mind (mental health awareness), despite receiving a lot of backlash because of this. He has spoken up about women in motorsport and his company Quadrant have multiple female members and recently posted a blog about Women in motorsport on their website:
THE WOMEN SHAPING MOTORSPORT: LOTTE VAN DRUNEN AND RUTH BUSCOMBE – Quadrant
Let’s be as kind as we can as we all love this sport and should be united by this not the opposite. Just because we prefer some drivers doesn’t mean we have to hate the rest.

Let me debunk a few more misinformation things about what Misha or Jensen say about Destiel. (Bolding some particularly relevant things I really want people to notice).
At Darklight Con Nov 8, 2020, Misha firmly said Cas's confession was about romantic feelings for Dean. (Notably, this is a European con, not CE in the US). Misinformation has sometimes been spread that Misha said Cas's confession wasn't romantic. Not true.
Misha then added that in his "interpretation" it was "unrequited" but continued on that "I'm speculating" and "I don't know what's in Dean's head. And Cas doesn't know." Misinformation has gotten around that Misha ever confirmed that Dean absolutely isn't in love with Cas back.
He then said the same things Jensen has said about supporting people's interpretations. They align on this viewpoint. (Antis don't want to listen, it's inconvenient for them).
He confirmed that Jensen was all in supporting Cas's confession scene. And that Jensen was told 3 months in advance. Since some have tried to claim it was sprung on Jensen at the last minute, a week before filming or something, and it was all an evol nefarious plot to lie to Jensen, trick him, and ambush him.
I mean, come tf on.
Jensen had three months to think about it.
And it's not only common practice on TV to have actors not know things too far in advance so their performances can be as spontaneous as possible, Jensen himself has said it's his own practice not to read ahead, so Dean's reactions can be as spontaneous as possible, and Jensen was in fact was given more than the usual amount of lead time about Cas's confession.
And was all in.
But especially interesting to me is how Jensen and Misha's comments mirror each other's take about the other's character.
Jensen and Misha have both told us they talked about Destiel.
Am I being clear enough here? They have talked about it. With each other. Often. They have an understanding among each other. (Yet antis seem to be in complete rampaging denial about this little fact).
And Jensen and Misha's takes often complement each other's, fit each other's on certain points, or even align via different styles and slightly different approaches and takes but actually boil down in essence to the same thing, plus both of them keep saying to fans...run with your interpretation.
It's like...both of them were trying to hand it to us, in any way they could manage, despite all those network shenanigans where it's not going to be acknowledge on any official SPN PR (like DVD set extras...and it seems like Misha kinda went, you know what if the network won't back press about this, I'll do it myself so he said things, here and there, to say what this was, dodging the CW sniper).
Misha's take: Cas has no idea what's in Dean's head and Cas doesn't know whether Dean is in love with him romantically the way Cas loves Dean or not. Jensen's take: in Dean's pov, because of Cas being an angel, assumption that his love is so cosmic and unfathomable no human can grasp it, so Dean has no clue as to the specific nature of those feelings for him. Mirroring!!!
(Side note...there's plenty of room here for an interpretation that Cas did know how loved he is at the moment The Empty took him. And I think that too...but that doesn't mean he knows Dean is romantically in love with him back, just that Dean loves him, period).
BTW, Jensen never said anything about how he played things wrt Dean's feelings for Cas, what he said was he never played Dean knowing Cas was in love with Dean (because Dean didn't know Cas was in love with him!!!!).
(And omfg I am so sick and tired of seeing Jensen misquoted about that, and it's never done with good faith motives, ever.)
It's about what Dean didn't know. It's about what Cas didn't know.
Which is the actual plot!! We watched!!! Dean and Cas not realizing the other one is in love with him is just so *chef's kiss* exactly miscommunication destihell. Was always part of the story, how many times did we talk about this ourselves?
Receipts below.

you know what i really love about post-first-bucktommy-meeting-pre-first-bucktommy-kiss buck? how his subconscious almost completely took over the reins.
we know that at some point off-screen in 7x03, he met tommy for the first time. we don't really know what that interaction looked like, but i think we can safely assume he introduced himself as evan buckley, and for some reason he didn't mention that everyone calls him buck. a number of external factors could have been at play here: perhaps he was interrupted by chim or eddie (honestly, i could see that), or there was simply no time or too much chaos to mention that he goes by buck (this one feels like a stretch because of another factor i'll mention in a moment, but nevertheless, it could have happened). there are also a lot of internal factors that could potentially make sense: he might have simply forgotten to mention it (but i do feel like this is the kind of information you don't really forget to touch upon, especially when it is so ingrained in your day-to-day life), he might have thought that they weren't close enough for tommy to refer to him by his nickname (which, i feel, is a huge stretch because there are plenty of instances where buck tells people he barely knows to call him buck), or he might have just not liked tommy very much (which is immediately debunked – i don't think i have to explain why this just can't be true). but there is one more internal factor that i think tracks pretty well with what we observe in 7x04: from the very first moment buck laid his eyes on tommy, he was immediately attracted to him. he looked at him as his potential love interest from the get-go. he wasn't consciously aware of it, so he probably tried to justify it in a way that made sense to him outside of the "i'm-also-attracted-to-men" aspect of it all. or perhaps he didn't wonder why he was completely fine with tommy calling him evan at all. maybe he didn't question it because, for some reason, it felt right. hell, maybe he didn't even register the "anomaly". but his subconscious mind knew the real reason why he let that happen. his subconscious mind knew the real reason why he didn't correct tommy at any point. and that is because he had always viewed him as more than a friend.
in 7x04, his subconscious mind, which was very much aware of his attraction to tommy, took over the reins on many occasions. the very first instance was him rejecting the advances of the contestants during the bachelor call. he consciously justified it as having a rule of not dating people he meets on calls. but subconsciously? tommy already had him wrapped around his finger. by that point, his eyes were on tommy and tommy only. he wasn't interested in those women flirting with him because his heart was busy trying to pursue tommy.
later on, we see that buck reached out to tommy off-screen for a tour of the harbor station. when tommy tried to get an idea of the real reason why buck wanted the tour, buck consciously justified it as wanting to see the place during the day. subconsciously, though? he was there to get to know tommy. he wanted to find some common link between them, and he wanted to spend more time with him.
his subconscious mind also completely took over when he and tommy were talking about their exes. at no point did buck indicate that the people he used to date were exclusively women. he didn't want and didn't feel the need to specify their gender. why? because his subconscious ass knew that if he had mentioned they were women, he would probably have little to no chance to pursue tommy romantically (unless he somehow managed to realize on his own that he's attracted to him – not entirely impossible but highly unlikely given that buck had to be kissed to finally get it). so he made sure not to disclose that information, keeping things as ambiguous as possible.
buck then proposed that he should buy tommy a beer. i don't know for sure if he consciously justified it in any way – it is pretty normal to go out for a beer or two with your friends, so i guess he didn't really feel the need to. but i'm pretty sure that by that point, he regarded tommy as cool and he very much wanted to be his boyfriend. i don't quite know if he consciously realized that at that stage. i honestly could see it both ways, and i don't want to make assumptions when i'm not that sure, so i'll just leave it at that.
then eddie showed up, and tommy left with him to see the fight in vegas. everyone and their mother could see how uncomfortable buck was at that moment. he was seething with jealousy. there was no conscious justification on buck's part in that moment because no one really expected any explanation from him at that point. but we later learn that he probably justified this jealousy (which continued pretty much throughout the entire episode) as tommy taking his best friend away from him. subconsciously, however? he was mad that eddie was getting more attention from tommy than he was. he didn't like that eddie was the only one taking up tommy's time. buck wanted tommy to spend time with him as well, and he really wanted him to like him. both his conscious and subconscious reasoning here apply also in the subsequent scenes of the episode: when buck was grilling eddie for information about his and tommy's time in vegas, learning that they also did some muay thai sparring at tommy's place, and that tommy worked on eddie's chevelle; when eddie said that he and tommy instantly clicked, something that buck subconsciously thought actually happened with him and tommy; when buck was hopeful that he would get invited to that karaoke bar trivia thing that eddie and tommy had planned, only for eddie to ask buck to watch chris during that time; when he was ranting to maddie about how close tommy got not only with eddie but also with chris; when he was trying to fetch an invite to the basketball game because he knew tommy would be there, trying so hard not to make it obvious that he wanted to go there only to spend time with tommy; or when he maimed eddie because him and tommy were too much of a team for his liking. buck kind of admitted to that in the scene with maddie, where he explained the most likely reason why he had hurt eddie – he felt left out seeing eddie and tommy be such good friends after only two weeks and he wanted to get his attention (again, his subconscious mind conveniently not specifying whose attention he was after).
buck both knew and didn't know what he was doing throughout this episode and why. subconsciously, he was very much aware of his feelings for tommy. and all the little smiles directed at him, the looks he gave him, his body language whenever he was around him, the way he talked about and to him, and the way he was constantly trying to get his attention only prove that.
it wasn't until tommy showed up in his loft that his conscious mind finally started piecing it all together. tommy's reassurance that he couldn't possibly replace buck in eddie's and chris's lives, although very much appreciated, for some reason wasn't quite enough. why? because buck wasn't really worried about that. it was tommy's attention he was after all this time. and he realized that when tommy disclosed his own insecurities to buck. and only when tommy kissed him did he truly understand it all. his consciousness finally tuned in to his subconscious mind, and he could finally make sense of his behavior. he finally realized what his subconscious mind was screaming at him since the very beginning: tommy was always more than a friend to him. and the journey that he took to this realization was just so beautifully crafted. it felt really rewarding to see his conscious mind finally catch up with his subconscious feelings. i can only hope that from now on, they will always go hand in hand.

Anti-Endhawks takes to debunk
"Endeavor is 46, and Hawks is 23; why do you ship them?"
That's all on personal preference, tbh. It's cool if you find the age gap to be uncomfortable. It's important to point out that both characters met when Hawks was a pro-hero (meaning he was already an adult when they first started working together as a duo). Endeavor himself did not know of Hawks when he was younger. If Endeavor knew Hawks as a child and the relationship was formed due to that, then I would also have an issue with the ship itself and understand this saying for argument purposes.
There is already a canon age gap between Gentle and La Brava, and no one talks about how the age gap is bothersome for them, with Gentle being in his early 30s and La Brava in her early 20s. I think from what I've been seeing that people just don't like Endeavor as a character (which is fair if that's the case. You don't have to love his character or anything). Still, it would be good if some antis were honest about using this take as a reason to shun the ship in general.
"Endeavor is still married to Rei; therefore, he is still connected to his family that they had."
Yes, Endeavor is a part of the Todoroki storyline since his perspective alongside Touya and Shoto's is very important for readers to pay attention to. His relationship with Rei Horikoshi has shown that it quickly changed despite their relationship starting out as wholesome and healthy in the early stages. We see very fast that the love that Rei and Endeavor once had turned sour once they began having children, and Endeavor tried to push his goal of having that perfect child with the ideal quirk. Now, whether the two reconcile and come back together is anyone's guess; I'm assuming that Horikoshi won't have Rei and Endeavor get back together, and they will most likely separate due to everything that has happened in their relationship and family in general.
This reasoning, out of all the anti-endhawk ones, is probably the most reasonable if I'm being honest, since the Todorokis are shown still having some connection back to each other. We are still determining how the aftermath of it all will play out.
For story purposes, he is very much connected to Rei since they both are responsible for saving Touya. But it's good to note that when it comes to Endhawk's relationship, they don't display the typical power imbalance that most people would expect from out-of-age gap ships. In fact, when it comes to their overall dynamic, both characters respect each other as equals and have this bickering/bantering dynamic, especially during their early interactions; they both care for one another, as seen in the panels below.

"Hawks would hate Endeavor if he knew his past."
This take has been a common argument circling around the fandom before Dabi broadcasts his reveal to the world. I have to say, I was curious what Hawk's thoughts would have been if he found out Endeavor's past, but after he explained that despite the wrongs Endeavor has done in his life, he still would support him and do his best to help him out whenever he needed him. To me, it showed how much he trusted him; he views Endeavor as the person who is trying to atone for everything he has done to those around him rather than the person he once was; and this trust that the two of them have extends into the final arc as well.

If there are other takes I should probably tackle; I'll make a separate thread for those. But I am also working on a Bakudeku version of this as well (so look forward to that one 😊❤️)

thinking about tokyo debunker again big surprise i know. but im thinking about,, the concept of the ghouls' stigmas being directly based on whatever they wished for. im going to go in order of house and just through everyone bc i like thinking about it
Frosty
Jin– stigma is to be able to literally command people for a time. it seems it is directly tied to his mental state whether or not he can use it (outside of the enhancement of the ring). hes the son of the president of anamolous research; it could be he wanted to be listened to either by a parent thats too busy or be listened to Over his father. With its connection to his mental state, maybe it has to do with an event where something happened specifically because he was unable to get people to do as he said because of an internal conflict. or it could be as simple as "i am the son of an important person i want everyone to do what i say"
Tohma– her stigma is described as being able to "send vibrations." this allows for destruction and for sending what are essentially radio signals to be able to telepathically talk to people, though its unknown if it allows for being able to hear anything back or if its just a one-way system. My idea is tohmas wish was to make an impact. To "make waves." Vibrations allow for this to happen literally and physically as well as allowing social influence via sending messages straight into peoples heads. We also know tohma used to be in vagstrom, the house given to those that pursue change and freedom. Shes now in frostheim, the one for ambition and unchanging goals. These also both happen to fit really well in line for someone who wants to make things change, make waves, make vibrations.
Lucas–it is probably the Most straightforward one. He wears his heart on his sleeve we dont have to guess too far. Lucas wants to protect people. It Wants to be a protector that is his goal in life. To use his power to help and protect. His stigma is to be, essentially, a shield. With him carrying around snacks and implying he used to always keep them specifically for its brother, we can infer that he was always protective of its twin. Maybe it was even a wish specifically to protect his brother that was painfully twisted by whatever demon granted that wish.
Kaito– We don't know Exactly what Kaitos stigma is. Hyde says it has to do with seeing auras, but Kaitos ability to see Luca's powered up stigma, to see usually far, and even to be able to near perfectly read lips can be inferred in our time with her. Taking into account her want to fit in with crowds and be up to date on trends and gossip as well as kaitos staunch awareness of how shes treated, we can guess the wish may have been along the lines of wanting to see more. Depending on what all Kaito can see, it may be a wish given vaguely and twisted. Or, it could be more specific, like wanting to be able to see people better, to see things first, to see how people are feeling, to see why people treat her differently, etc etc. With as vague as it is now, there's quite a few different variations that could apply. Given Kaito's clear lack of self esteem thats made up for by desperately trying to fit in, I'm inclined to believe it was something along those lines.
Vaggy
Alan– his stigma is unnatural strength. a wish to be strong. That's a pretty common wish, and a common feeling. Even if it wasnt meant literally, this is a really clear way to turn that wish into a power. Especially when it's someone like Alan, who is to the point and wouldnt add flowery language. Even assuming the demons just inheritly Know what the wishes theyre granting for someone are, wanting to be stronger physically is, again, not uncommon. Especially not for someone with an implied (and stated) tumultuous past like Alan.
Leo– Also realllly self explanatory. Leo has amplified hearing. personality-wise, he's a rat–a snitch. he thrives off using information to get his way and blackmail people and to presumably further his online career. Of course he'd wish to be able to hear people and eavesdrop on shit.
Sho– their stigma is ??? to jam stuff?? which includes opening doors and pushing ghosts and a myriad of other loosely connected things? Keeping in mind their implied estrangement from their family (and leo, especially since we dont know if theyve known each other before the demon pacts), it could be a wish to want to keep people away, or to make it easier to run away. If he knew leo before make the pacts and, considering how leo treats sho and how sho doesnt Really seem fond of leo, was pressured into it, maybe it has something to do with wanting to get away from leo ? hard to say on this one
Jabber
Haru– his stigma is to move fast. of course the ball of restless energy would want to be able to move fast and do a bunch more stuff. this stays in line whether we think of them now as they are in jabberwock, or as of his how he was in (presumably) sinostra. haru is a buzzing busybody. No stretch to say hed wish he could Do More.
Towa– another nebulous stigma. Lets put all the individual information of what he can do under an umbrella and say we know towa can control weather. Specifically, he seems to have a strong handle on lightning and wind in particular. Focusing on lightning, we know via conversations with Ed that towa used to have a disdain or hatred for humanity. This is also something we can still get glimpses through in her lack of care for people (and anomalies) being or getting hurt and their flippant attitude toward death. If we think of someone who has no care for life and a sour attitude toward people, well, wanting to hurt or cause destruction would be a good wish, wouldnt it? Which falls in line with Towa's reliance on lightning, which in many cultures and religious mythologies symbolizes anger, destruction, and vengeance. retribution.
the bigger question is whether or not towa is human (likely not), if being nonhuman is a source of some (still a ghoul) or all (not even a ghoul) of his powers, or if she has multiple stigmas giving him multiple powers, or a combination of any of the above. if we go along the line of them having multiple stigmas, his control over the wind may be indicative of a second wish to be able to help who she cares for (haru, most likely). Wind pollinates, carries, cools, and in many places you can see wind symbolizes healing and positive change. Alternatively, if all of towas powers come from one wish and he was a mortal being before making a pact, the powers of weather as a whole are great forces of destruction in enough capacity. and we have seen how destructive and scary they can be when they are upset.
or maybe this guy is just an anomaly, a forgotten small god such as the one in chapter 13, and darkwick has been keeping her there and haru was the first person to treat him like a person and "wish" to her which restored their faith in humanity to a degree (and is why he seemed in pain right after haru prayed to the other god) and this is where all her powers come from no demon input. or maybe still some demon input. who knows! i love him. so much to chew on.
Ren– SO. all we know for his stigma as well is that it's "good for cleaning messes." ok. whats good at cleaning messes (and is often a mess itself) that ren also happens to have an intense phobia of and avoids at any cost. water. i dont see ren being the kind of person to just go along and make a lact with a demon. Unless. It would help him avoid water. To never have to go near it, especially since it is explicitly not just the ocean, but Any body of water he fears. What better way to grant the wish to avoid bodies of water than by giving someone the ability to conjure or manipulate water?
not directly related but this would be a fun tie in to the hints of ren being the mermaid whether or not he even knows it, and that his fear of water is connected to that. (and if Ren doesnt even know what he is, that would be why he isnt in obscuary. clearly the guy doesnt go swimming so it wouldnt be a stretch at all)
Sinostra
Romeo– bomb stigma. the things he values most blow up the biggest. if we take into consideration his family having been passingly mentioned as losing their designer brand, we can start to connect some dots. romeo is materialistic, hot-headed, and prideful. so, in the fall of his family's brand, its easy to picture him in a rage at incompentence costing him what he is owed. Then, he wishes to make sure that he never makes the mistake of blowing up his assets. Then, he's given that in the most purposfully literal way possible. His most valuable assets are the ones he can blow up the best
Taiga–Also one of the easy ones. Heavily implied that its stigma allows it a glimpse into the future at the cost of his memories. the guy is a gambler and a generally risk-taking criminal. wishing to see the future to ensure you never lose, never miss a mark, it's very classic. and coupled with its memory loss is a fun bit of irony
Shinjo– another straightforward one! she can harden her body to take any blow. her goal in life is to be the most prestigious lawyer in the history of ever. so. you want to be able to take anything that can come at you. especially if we keep in mind the rumors of shinjos father being corrupt, which could mean dangerous clients and associates.... protection is important. she already has the legal knowledge and smarts to stay protected there, so the physical is the only flaw to fill. this would absolve the work of having to train, giving more time allotted to work and study. its the inverse of luca, she wouldnt be considering the protection of anyone but herself. wish to cast a shield on the only part unprotected–the physical.
Hotorubi
Suburu– his stigma is being able to see all te thoughts and memories of everything and everyone he touches. Whatever shady shit he may or may not be doing, subaru is unequivocally an anxious mess. what is a common wish during anxiety? wishing to know what everyone is thinking. and now he does, whether he wants it or not.
from here on is where it gets a bit dicey due to lack of knowledge
Haku– ok this is the one i have Nothing on. no clue what his stigma is other than he is almost certainly the one that conducted the stigma test for the MC. no idea what his desires are. other than the lack of information, haku is already the exact kind of character/person i struggle to understand on a base fundamental level tbh. moving on
Zenji– ??? dont know their stigma or of they can even use it as a ghost
Obscuary
Rui– His stigma allows him to ease other peoples physical pain for a while. we see through every interaction with rui that he is a person who is constantly thinking of other people and trying to make things better and easier for them. it stands to logic that he would wish to be able to help. well. ease people's pain. thank goodness he doesnt have to touch people to do it i suppose. small mercies
Edward– Unclear if anything hes done is his stigma or if its all just been old vampire knowledge and powers only so another harx ???? for now
Lyca– his stigma is ? following smells. the only reason we know thats not a werewolf thing is because he verbally activates it. but. we also know a lot about lyca. much like alan, he is a very straightforward thinker and doesnt mince words. he knows exactly what he wants. it os unclear if he was a ghoul when taken by darkwick, but he was taken and immediately imprisoned on a murder accusation so that does seem unlikely. (and also does like ? does darkwick even Know lyca is a ghoul or do they think he is still Just a wolf boy) Itd stand to reason Lyca was taken advantage of in the vulnerable state of a prisoner by a demon. We already know what lyca has been wishing for this whole time. To reuinite with Neros. And what would help that wish come true? Being able to follow anything and anyone hes smelled before.

@ggyweek2024 Day 1: Scars
(2,434 words)
After developing a new normal, Tony finally asks Gregory about how he got the scar on his face.
One of the first blaring changes that Tony noticed about Gregory when seeing him again after so long was his scar.
Tony couldnt help but stare when he first saw it. It was thick and jagged, and discolored a darker shade than his skin. It was large, jarring on his face, and travelled from his jaw across his cheek to his nose.
And even after they had the big long talk about everything and discussed and debunked and explained, Gregory never told him how he got the scar.
It took Tony a while to feel normal enough around Greg to go to his house a lot. It's more common than not, now, for Tony to go to Greg's after school and get to know him. The real him.
But through it all, Tony's never gathered the courage to ask Greg about the long jagged line taking up a quarter of his face.
Its been weeks, now, since they reunited. Possibly months, and Tony hasnt asked Greg about it in that long.
Its never felt right to. Even when things were still centered around what happened enough to reveal that much, it had been too soon, and any time afterwards, Tony was just happy to be friends with Greg again. He never wanted to mess up any normalcy and his relationship for Greg to satisfy his own curiosity.
He already learned his lesson about that.
Today's one of the days he goes over to Greg's to hang out. The standard routine continues as normal; Tony bikes to Gregory's house, parks, goes inside and greets Vanessa and Freddy on his way to Greg's room, who both greet him back enthusiastically, and then he goes in.
When Tony enters Gregory's room, he immediately finds him hunched over at his desk. His back is facing Tony, and even from his point of view he can see Gregory's arm moving back and forth in a scribbling motion. He doesnt seem to hear him come in. He's so engrossed in whatever he's drawing he's almost nose to nose with the surface of the desk.
Instinctively, a smile quirks on Tony's face. He shuts the door quietly behind him, and goes over to Greg's chair.
Gregory only seems to notice him when he's in his peripherals. He jolts slightly, eyes widening in suprise, but then hes smiling and setting down his pencil.
"Jeez," Greg chuckles. "You scared me."
"Sorry." Tony replies. The window is open and the blinds are open by Gregory's desk, and it casts a few lines against Greg's face and his paper. Tony switches his gaze to Gregorys latest drawing, and smiles again.
It's some comic centered around Gregory and Freddy taking down a bad guy. The panels are dramatic and scary looking, and Tony notices that near the end of the page, in the right bottom corner, theres a panel where Gregory is completely alone.
He's interrupted by Gregory calling his name.
Tony looks back over, and the sunlight peeking through the blinds somehow manages to cast a perfect halo around the scar on Greg's face. It's like the world somehow knows that Tony's been stewing in curiosity about it lately.
Tony must have been looking at it, because when he tears his gaze away to look at Gregory himself, he shuts his mouth from where he was about to say something and darts his eyes to the side. His hand comes up to his cheek.
"Sorry." Tony says again. He looks at the floor.
One moment, then, "Its okay." Gregory drops his hand after a few seconds of silence. "Did you come over to finish our book? We only have a couple chapters left, I think. I saw that the second series is way longer."
Tony smiles again. "Yeah." He confirms. "Are you reading or am I?"
"You read last time." Gregory gets up from his chair, leaving his comic and colored pencils behind. "I'll do it this time."
Tony still feels bad about making Greg uncomfortable, but Gregory seems to have moved past it. He sighs. "Okay, sure. This is the last book, isnt it?"
"The last in series one." Gregory replies, moving to his bookshelf. Tony watches him go. "Funny how we only started reading because you wanted a reference to start writing first person, and now we're going to start series two."
Tony smiles, knowing why exactly he kept reading for so long. Of course he's inspired by the first person point of view, but theres another reason he likes reading the books so much. "Its a good series."
Gregory plucks the book off of his shelf and makes his way over to his bed. Tony follows him, and they sit side by side, leaning against Greg's pillow as he opens to the bookmarked page.
Tony's on Gregory's right side, meaning that Tony has perfect view of his face scar when he leans down to see the pages clearly. He sighs out his nose, trying his best to ignore it. Greg's obviously uncomfortable with it. He thinks. He doesnt need to tell me. I dont need to know.
While Gregory is finding their last page, Tony thinks about how hes never told Gregory how he got his own face scar. The thin pale line on his right cheek.
But then he remembers that he doesnt need to tell him, because Gregory already knows how Tony got the scar.
"Here." Gregory rips him out of his thoughts, pointing at the page. He clears his throat, and Tony tries to ignore the proximity, and how Gregory's face scar is in his peripherals.
"I looked around to make sure we were alone." Gregory starts reading. "Then I leaned in close and whispered: "My Achilles spot. If you hadn't taken that knife, I would have died.
She got a faraway look in her eyes. Her breath smelled of grapes, probably from the nectar. "I dont know, Percy. I just had this feeling you were in danger. Where...where is the spot?""
The word knife makes Tony think again, even when he tries to pay attention to the story. Tony's own face scar was made by a knife. His eyes dart back to Greg's cheek.
"I wasn't supposed to tell anyone." Greg's voice echoes in his room. "But this was Annabeth. If I couldnt trust her, I couldn't trust anyone.
"The small of my back.""
"Greg." Tony interrupts impulsively, not tearing his eyes away from the discolored line on Gregory's face. Gregory stops reading, twisting his neck to look at him. When Greg looks him in his eyes, Tony switches his gaze to look back. "Uh... can I ask you something?"
Gregory seems to deflate a slight bit, but Tony only notices because he's watching closely.
Greg sighs almost soundlessly, then: "My scar."
Tony jolts, his eyes wide. He glances to the side. "Oh, um--"
"I know that's what you're going to ask about." Gregory interrupts. Tony risks a glance back, the inklings of guilt in his stomach, but Gregory doesn't look angry, upset, or uncomfortable. Just kind of resigned, but in the least worst way. "Its okay."
Gregory shuts the book, only pausing to place the bookmark back in. "Is it okay?" Tony asks. He wouldn't want anyone prying for answers about his face scar. He hopes that Greg wont mind as much because its Tony.
"I see you looking at it all the time." Gregory tells him, shifting in his seat to angle his body so he's fully facing Tony. Tony forces himself to look him in the eye. "I know how you are. It's probably killing you, isnt it?"
Tony tries not to let his jolt show at those choice of words from Gregs mouth, and he nods. "Sorry." He apologizes. "I just--"
"You cant stand not solving a mystery." Gregory interrupts again. He fidgets in his seat. "I get it."
Tony doesnt respond again. He just stares, and watches how Gregory is looking away from him when it falls silent. He looks at how Gregory's face is tilted so the scar is in perfect view for Tony, and how his fingers fidget with the strap of his watch and how his knees seem to tremor ever so slightly.
He waits. In the silence, he can hear the TV in the living room droning on through the walls. He can hear the barely audible exhaust from cars from outside. He can hear his own heartbeat in his chest, and he can feel his own guilt for being excited to be told.
"Its..." Gregory's voice is jarring in the silence. He looks back at Tony, and there are lines under his amber eyes. "Its not a fun story. Might... might remind you of some things."
Gregs eyes had darted to the right side of Tony's face when he said that, and Tony's brows raise. He's suddenly hyper aware of his own face scar.
He looks at Greg's, sharp and large and jagged. It dips in his skin around his jaw, and it makes the skin around his left eye stretch differently. Its darker against his tanned skin, and Tony sighs out. "That's okay."
Tony doesn't notice how Gregory never worried about trusting Tony.
"Vanessa was like me." Gregory jumps right in. "She had a knife, and I just woke up with no memory, and she just..."
He trails off, making a slashing motion with his hand. "I barely got away with my life." He says, his voice slightly wet. "If I was just a little slower..."
His eyes get faraway, and Tony, in between his shock and taking that in, bravely reaches out a hand and sets it on Gregory's fidgeting one.
His hand is warm against Tony's icy fingers, and it's enough to bring him back to reality. He gasps a little, and Tony catches that same expression that he used to think made Gregory look so young a year ago.
Tony doesnt bring up his own scar, because he knows Gregory knows how it came to be. It was from a knife, too, and Tony barely got away with his life.
Greg's other hand has been raised to his face, where he messes with the scar on his cheek. Theres a few fleeting moments where Gregory and Tony look at nothing but eachothers eyes, and it feels like it lasts hours.
Tony sees how Gregory unsubtly looks away from Tony's eyes to his right cheek.
Gregory's fingers twitch under Tony's hand. Tony watches Gregory remove his other hand from his face, reach out, and barely brushing against his skin, poke the spot on Tony's cheek.
"We match." Greg says, soft as silk. He smiles, but it looks pained.
Tony cant find a response in him, he just keeps staring, and realizing for the first time how Gregory's right.
It feels otherworldly, Tony thinks, or fictional, how Tony and Greg somehow have matching scars on their cheeks that are parallel to eachother. It reminds him, boldly, of how Freddy and Bonnie have parallel matching earrings.
But they were designed that way. Tony and Gregory somehow got here by chance. Are they this way because of the worlds design? Is it fate that both their cheeks were marked by that thing?? That the fact that they have scars at all tells that they're still here? That Tony would look in the mirror and stare at the pale line on his face in-between it all to remind himself that it was all real, and his theories weren't far-fetched? That he wasnt going mad?
"I have another," Gregory rips him out of his thoughts, tapping on his hand, and Tony realizes his eyes were unfocusing. "on my stomach."
Tony feels a surge of panic when Greg lifts his shirt, but he looks back from where he averted his eyes to where Gregory is pointing.
Theres a gathering of skin on his stomach. It's long and horizontal, almost diagonal, and discolored like his face scar. It's a line, Tony realizes. A big one. Tony's mouth parts, and he looks at Greg's eyes.
"When I freed her." Gregory looks away. "She got me again."
Tony doesnt respond, he just looks at the bunch of skin on Gregory's stomach. It obviously used to be a stab wound. One of Tony's biggest fears is stab wounds.
He shakes his head, clearing his throat and trying not to stutter. "I have one." Tony says. He shrugs off his jacket, tossing the green corduroy at the end of the bed, and he rolls up the sleeve of his raglan tee.
"Y-- Rab got me." Tony says, pointing at his bicep, where just under his shoulder on the side, theres a thick, long slice. He feels it with his finger, and it dips in the skin, dark like both of Gregory's are. "He tried to stab me in the back, but I dodged."
Greg stares at it for a long time, and his eyes look infinitely more tired.
He eventually shifts, and uses his other hand (the one not beneath Tony's) to move his hair out of the way near his temple. He tucks it behind his ear, pointing at a small scar right at his hairline. Its almost lined up perfectly with the corner of his eye. "One of-- Rabs lenses shattered, once." He explains. "It almost blinded me."
Tony sighs through his nose, feeling his eyebrows furrow.
Theres so many. Gregory has so many scars littered around his body.
Tony squeezes his hand.
He shows Gregory more scars of his, which are few. He eventually gets to the old childhood ones with funny and embarrassing stories attached to them, and he stops giving Greg room to reveal more of his scars. Tony can see little light lines and dots scattered around his arms and hands, and another bigger one peeking from under his shirt sleeve, but Gregory never gets to tell the stories of those. Tony just tells him about how the scar under his chin is from tripping at the pool when he was eight, and that the one on his ankle is from a scooter rearing back at him from a failed trick when he was nine.
Greg doesnt try to unearth all of the scars hes collected again. He just laughs at Tony's stories until tears prick his eyes, and the book sits un-re-opened next to them as the sky darkens outside Gregory's window. The lines under Gregorys eyes recede, and Tony's shirt sleeve starts to fall back down his arm.
Through it all, Tony never moves his hand from on top of Greg's, and Gregory doesnt move his either.

Before getting into the main article, I'll quickly debunk a few common misconceptions:
1) Alexander Hamilton never purposely set his son up for his death. In Blow Us All Away he talks about how his mother can’t afford another heartbreak and he doesn’t want her to get hurt. And even if Phillip hadn’t thrown away his shot as Alexander instructed him to, he would’ve been shot anyway because Eacker shot early on the count of seven.
2) Alexander Hamilton is not a villain, there is no villain in Hamilton. If you think here is, you missed the entire point of the musical and Burr’s insight. He calls himself the villain in Hamilton’s history because people will always find their own opinions on people and paint them as the villain without sharing the full story. LMM did just this by giving insight on both Hamilton and Burr, its history, there is no villain. Everything musical Hamilton did was in good intentions. He was never intentionally malicious nor did he ever go out of his way just to hate on Aaron Burr as people like to think.
3) Alexander Hamilton isn’t this heartless person who doesn’t care to spend any time with his family. He always tried to make time for them, and he even says himself in Dear Theodosia that he’d never be anything like his father. He says in It’s Quiet Uptown he’d give his life up for Phillip’s, and he does take pride in everything his son does. He constantly worries if he’d be enough for Eliza in That Would Be Enough, who says herself that he’s perfect the way he is, she just wishes he’d share a fraction of his time. Although unfortunately he can’t spend a lot of time with her due to his job, it’s clear he genuinely loves and cares for her.
—
Alexander Hamilton cared about his family
The interpretation that Alexander Hamilton is a kind of sociopath, who's action/speech is an elaborate facade, is unsupported fan speculation. As a 2 hour long musical, LMM had enough time to establish any character personality traits, motivations, and how they act. If this was the case, it would be addressed in the musical as it would be an important plot-line. When there are multiple songs in the soundtrack describing Alexander’s character, especially at the first track, everything is consistent with his pros and cons. For example, when Alexander worries about being good enough for his family - that is how he actually feels. Alexander makes sure to stay alive and make it out the Battle of Yorktown for his wife. Alexander’s personality is consistent with every character he interacts with: His wife, friends and enemy- never once displaying sociopathic traits of being able to switch facades. So his dialogue/actions are genuine and valid evidence.
Alexander’s affections towards Eliza before he even discovered about the child. Proving Alexander loved Eliza, and loved her for for herself and not some of other malicious motive involving rank:
"Eliza, I don’t have a dollar to my name, an acre of land, a troop to command, a dollop of fame [...] "No stress, my love for you is never in doubt." [...] "As long as I’m alive, Eliza, swear to God you’ll never feel so helpless. [...] "My life is gonna be fine cause Eliza’s in it". - Act 1, Helpless.
He clearly wasn't doing it to get some tactical advantage for himself, as he says himself that he’s worried that he can’t provide for Eliza’s life in That Would Be Enough. Even if it was a plan he was doing by himself, he would have definitely mentioned it while he was confessing everything in The Winter’s Ball as it would have been the subject. But he doesn't. Clearly, it's not true. When Alexander asks if it mattered “if, Burr, or which one” he says that as a joke, he’s never met any of the Schuyler sisters. He says it as a joke because Burr brought up his image as a tomcat. They’re friends, they’re making jokes about how they’re reliable with the ladies. Not once was Alexander toying with Eliza’s emotions for his own benefit.

The statement, that the possession by the evil entity revealed Magnifico's true self, is the biggest outrageous inane shit I have ever heard so far!

Like seriously, are these haters for real? To say someone is to blame for the evil that the evil possessing them does is absolutely wild!!!
I mean, every statement of the haters and "anti-Magnifico's" as they call themselves, is stupid anyway and they have all been debunked easily so far, but THIS! ....
Also, the way they treat trauma as if it's a common cold! Some silly headache, a sneeze! Something that hurt once but later on means nothing! Oh how I wish I could block and remove those people not only from tumblr but form the internet entirely, cause their toxic shit enrages be beyond belief! They have absolutely no idea what they're talking about! They're spitting not only stupidity and lies but also harmful and hurtful statements!
If an evil entity possesses someone and takes control, then it is the evil entity who is to blame for the actions and reactions it is doing through the person they possess!!
Sure, humans can be evil too and do wrong but a possession is a possession! And no, a possession does not reveal someone's real face! God give me strengh!
To misinterpret Magnifico's whole character and his actions is one thing, but throwing around such statements pinches a nerve on me that better shouldn't be pinched.
That some people truly believe they are in the right with their insane mind diarrhea, is beyond me!
If even one, one single thing of them would be a solid point, the majority wouldn't be on Magnifico's side, defending him with teeth and nails!
I truly hope and pray a traumatized person will never cross the path of these anti-Magnifico's and haters, because we saw how they view trauma and would treat them!

hi! regarding your latest post about Amber, I’ve honestly just recently realized what actually had been going. do you have any sources or arguments I could use/share for Johnny supporters? (Aka 99% of the people IRL)
Easiest thing I can do is point you to the blog @justiceamberheard . They have a pinned masterpost breaking down the trial and allegations and going into detail about some things I’m choosing not to address in this reply such as Depp’s dishonesty about his drug addictions, other lies/inconsistencies in his testimony, and overall shitty behavior (racism, misogyny, associating with awful people, terrible parenting, etc) as well as debunking some ridiculous claims like the shitting in bed stuff. Also, a lot of evidence like photos of Heard’s injuries and of trashed rooms as well as Depp’s verbal abuse against her— all of which I’m choosing not to bring up here just because in my experience it’s simply not good enough for Depp fans. The blog also makes sure to post about other high profile abuse cases like the ones against Marilyn Manson, Brad Pitt, Jonathan Majors, Justin Baldoni, etc. They’re doing amazing work.
The youtube channel Incredibly Incredible has posted the full unedited versions of their recorded conversations together as well as some other illuminating evidence videos; any reasonable person who takes the time to actually listen to the full recordings should come out of it with a good idea of what kind of person Depp is, but the full recordings are multiple hours long so a lot of people would prefer to listen to the shortened, smear campaign-approved versions and just pretend like they listened to the whole thing.
Some of the most clear cut evidence of Depp’s abuse, in my personal opinion:
Texts from both Depp (who is named Steve in her phone because of some weird gross pet names they gave each other, but if you’re talking to a ‘I followed every detail of this trial’ person they should already know that lmao) and his assistant Stephen Deuters after Depp kicked Amber on a plane to Boston in 2014. Amber says ‘he’s done this before’ to Deuters who does not deny it. Depp later claimed on trial that he never kicked her and that she was the one antagonizing him during this plane ride.

Texts from Depp apologizing for getting enraged, going too far, being a lunatic, etc… all his words, not mine

this video which in itself could be considered abuse via intimidation in some states— this was the earliest piece of evidence I remember seeing that really solidified my stance in believing Amber, because his behavior in it is genuinely triggering
this audio clip where he admits to headbutting her in the forehead— again, something Heard brought up on trial and that he denied, since he’s apparently ‘never laid a finger’ on her
audio clips of him telling her that she should beg him not to hurt her or to ‘bring the monster out’ during arguments; a common abuser tactic is to separate your abusive actions from yourself by referring to it like an alter ego (worth noting that whenever they talk about Australia, they’re talking about the incident in which he violently raped her with a bottle while telling her over and over again that he was going to kill her)
many many many many audio clips of him agreeing/not denying when Amber talks about his abusive behaviors, including this one where he specifically says that he didn’t call her a liar and doesn’t deny her claim that he knows she’s telling the truth about her abuse. Also, note that in the audio clip where she talks about being afraid that he would kill her, he not only fails to defend himself from such a serious and horrifying accusation but also does not deny her claim that he cut off his own finger.
this audio clip where he talks about their relationship being physical abusive and says they’re a ‘crime scene waiting to happen’; this audio clip where he talks about getting in physical fights
Those last clips are important because once again, remember that he claimed on the stand to have never laid a finger on her. But they also might not work if you’re trying to argue with a ‘they both abused each other’ person. In those cases I usually just direct the person to some sources about how mutual abuse isn’t a thing. These sources are also important when bringing up the times Amber attacked Johnny, which happened like thrice:
-One time because he was trying to attack her sister, which Amber and her sister both testify to have been what happened
-On at least one occasion she threw pots and pans at him to try and get him to stop hurting her
-The infamous ‘I wasn’t punching you, I was hitting you’ ‘I did start a physical fight’ and ‘I can’t promise I won’t get physical’ audio clips; the context for all of these was that which Depp slammed a door on her toes while she was trying to check on him and she hit him instinctively to keep him away; He then claimed he hadn’t meant to hurt her and so she tried to apologize and take accountability for her part in their fights. Which if you ask me, she shouldn’t have even had to do. but wtv
Once again, the earliest proven instance of him abusing her was in 2014 and according to Amber the abuse started in 2012. All these instances of her retaliating happened YEARS later. Any instances where she hurt or mocked him would be considered reactive defense. An imperfect victim is still a victim. ‘Kill all rapists’ but when Amber hit hers a few times and called him a baby she was out of line, I guess?
Other points/counterarguments
-the infamous ‘tell the world, Johnny’ audio clip; if you listen to the full phone call this comes from, your heart will break because she goes on to tell him that the evidence she’s gathered of his abuse is too strong, that he’s bigger and stronger than her and could kill her if he wanted, that there’s no way he’ll be able to convince the courts he isn’t guilty. This wasn’t an abuser mocking her victim and saying no one will believe him because he’s a man. It was a victim incorrectly assuming that the justice system would actually be JUST and that any sane person would recognize him as the abuser that he is.
-‘Amber was arrested for domestic abuse against a previous partner’ yes and the case was dropped instantly because her PARTNER SAID SHE WASN’T BEING ABUSED. You try to explain this to a Depp fan and they short-circuit. Tasya van Ree supports Amber and has said that the arrest was made based on a misunderstanding that likely stemmed from misogyny and/or homophobia. It really does not matter if the cops who made the arrest claim otherwise, I’m not believing some fucking cops over the actual would-be abuse victim.
-meanwhile Johnny Depp’s ex Ellen Barkin literally testified saying that he was abusive to her in many of the ways Heard also claims he was abusive: that he drank too much, was overly jealous and possessive, and that he threw a bottle at her on at least one occasion. Deppford wives’ best defense of this was that Ellen Barkin is ugly and bitter. They loved saying this about Dr. Dawn Hughes as well.
-He was literally known in the 90’s for being a violent troublemaker, he was arrested multiple times for trashing hotel rooms, assaulting security guards, and threatening paparazzi. You can look up his arrest history pretty easily
-like a month after the Depp/Heard trial he had to appear in court again for assaulting a crew member on the set of City of Lies during filming. Ppl claimed he was defending a homeless woman or something but it was literally a closed set. Also easy to look this up just google ‘depp city of lies lawsuit’
-Lola Glaudini recalls a time when she was in the movie Blow (2001) where Depp came up to her and started yelling in her face, she specifically said that the things Amber Heard claimed he would yell to her were practically identical to what he yelled at Glaudini
If I can be candid for a moment though, if you’re gonna try and convince anyone who still supports Depp at this point that they’re in the wrong, good fucking luck. I made a post a while ago kind of pointing out/mocking how delusional their reasoning is and well, you can check the replies and reblogs to see how receptive they were to it. I’m not saying it isn’t worth it to try but most of them are so stuck in their own cognitive dissonance that they’re not going to want to listen to anything that threatens their perception of events. That being said you have an advantage over me of having understood their perspective until recently— and that’s not me trying to be snarky, it’s a valuable asset that I hope leads you to have more success than I’ve had in changing people’s minds.

old men analysis time!
okay pokemon unbound tumblr, let's talk about the old men.
for context, recently i've observed some discussion about professor log making the rounds and after some intense discussion with @avielex, we'd like to clear up some misunderstandings about log which we don't believe are true. i will narrate the majority of this post, but the ideas here have been put forward and agreed on equally by both avi and i.
furthermore, as a basis, we have tried very hard to only view the player as they are depicted in the game, without our personal player characters' influences (as well as without our personal biases for jax and ace respectively).
as for this analysis, apart from debunking the myths about log, i also want to lead into arthur and how he's portrayed as a parallel to log, and showcase the differing relationships between log with ace and player, and arthur with jax. so without further ado...
re: log 'forcing' the player
first and foremost, a common opinion i see of log's role in the story is that he forces the player into running his errands, and turns them into an ideal champion as part of his rivalry with arthur. while i do not doubt that he asks the player to do multiple things for him, and i also do not doubt log's rivalry with arthur playing a part in his spurring the player towards being champion, i do not believe that this behaviour constitutes forcing — or grooming, which is a word i've seen being thrown around as well. let's take a look at log's lines when he asks the player to run the first errand for him:
Prof. Log Ah, yes, [Player]. You seem rather capable... would you be willing to help an old man out with a little something? Yes, this is a splendid idea, your father was well known for helping others, after all. It's only fitting that his [son/daughter] would follow in his footsteps. As for the task, in Bellin Town, at the Poke Mart, I have a package waiting for me. I would go get it myself, but I'm a bit too busy with my own research, and so are all my assistant researchers... Don't worry, I already informed the clerk that someone would pick it up in my stead. Since you have your own Pokemon with you, it shouldn't be too difficult.
this is a pretty standard request for help. an old man, who clearly requires a walking aid, wants a teenager/young adult (assuming that player is at least 17 years old, as confirmed in the flashback in the shadow base revisit) to go down a mountain and retrieve a package that he is not physically fit to collect himself. (and also, he doesn't have the time to do so.)
while there is no option for player to refuse the request (or in fact any of his requests), we should also note that player does not appear to be unwilling to complete this errand! further along in the story, it's noted by jax that player has a certain look on their face when faced with something they don't want to do, and this doesn't appear here — but you know when it does appear? when player tries to leave frozen heights without visiting their mother, and log says the following:
Prof. Log [Player]! What are you doing? I told you to check in with your mother! ...Don't look at me like that. Didn't your mother ever teach you to listen to your elders? Go see her!
the only thing you might point out in the first dialogue sequence is that he brings up aros. while this could be rather insensitive, i believe this is because aros is likely a strong role model to the player, and someone who many people look up to. however, i don't believe that this is considered forcing rather than a crude persuasion technique, as 'forcing' would imply that the player is unwilling. (also, note that this is the only time log brings up aros in regards to errands.)
the next errand he gives is filling out the pokedex. since this is something player can do passively while doing other things on their trainer journey, i don't think there's much forcing in this one. while this can be considered pushing some responsibility on player, it's also not critical to the tasks at hand, and every mainline pokemon game professor asks the player to fill one out anyway. as for giving one to ace... well, it is sorta true that ace doesn't get along with log, so player is log's best bet. (more on this later!) i'd have to agree that this one is a little forcing, but it's also important to note that player doesn't object to it either.
and now let's get onto the third errand: going to see arthur in dresco town. by now, player has seen the lab in the shadow base (and gotten conked in the head for it), saw a legendary pokemon being captured with log's master balls, and the profeessor has told them that this could be Big Trouble. at this point, refusing the professor would be less reasonable, no? do you help an old man who needs a walking aid relay some critical, possibly world-ending news to someone who lives two towns over when you've seen the evidence with your own eyes? to me, if player has any ounce of empathy, it would not be surprising for them to accept this errand without hesitation!
those are the three errands that prof log asks the player to run at the beginning of the game. it is clear that player does not repeatedly try to refuse log's errands, and that log does not force (or groom) player into running the errands — and nor does he repeatedly bring up aros in order to persuade player. i will get back to the main plot as the "fourth" errand in a bit. in the meantime...
the quote-unquote ideal champion
as for the "turning player into an ideal champion" part, i believe the only thing that alludes to this is jax's dialogue at the league (before battling him, and the dialogue for winning against him):
Jax This whole time, Grampa Arthur has been training me as his replacement - by having me fight against threats to the region. I'm sure that's why Prof. Log had you run these errands too... He and Grampa always did have a bit of a rivalry, ha ha! But now that a worthy challenger has appeared, someone I respect, this is going to be a fun battle!
Jax Wow, [Player]... Looks like Prof. Log picked a worthy challenger after all! ...but no, seriously, congrats! You're now the new Champion of Borrius!
you can imply here that jax believes that like how arthur was training him to be his successor, log was training player. it's important to understand that characters don't always have the information you have, and may misunderstand the situation accordingly. log certainly does note that player has grown much throughout their journey and has achieved much in the timespan of the plot, most notably in tarmigan town, and again at the entrance to victory road. the dialogue for the latter is as follows:
Prof. Log [Player]! Arthur just relayed the good news to me! Thank goodness you're still in one piece! And of course, thank you! You, Jax, Ace... you all gave everything you had to save Borrius. Of course, I've been told not all has been resolved with this "Aklove", but that's something you can worry about later, I suppose. For now, you just worry about that empty seat, meant for the Champion!
this comes after ace and arthur have both told the player that they should aim for the champion title, so it's possible that he heard off one of them that player was going to challenge the league. (arthur's dialogue is a bit easier to miss since you'd have to talk to him before you beat the league, but he says the following:)
Arthur Now that everything is at peace once more, why don't you take on the Pokemon League? I'm sure someone with your skill could easily become the Champion.
in all, this reads more like genuine support rather than forcing the player into becoming champion. considering that player has already been urged to go for the champion title, log's support here, which is only gotten once the player reaches victory road (and thus already is intending to go to the league), does not seem to be persuasive at all.
i personally think that if log was giving training to player (and even ace, too) through his errands as jax says, it would be so that they can grow into respectable, kind people who will help others when they come across people who require it — arguably, the sort of person that aros was. none of the errands the professor sends player on are geared towards training pokemon, unless you count filling out the pokedex.
log's actually quite nice, y'see...
okay. now that we've got that under control, let's look at the other big opinion about log: he's a crusty old man — crusty meaning easily irritated in this case. we have a very good window into this behaviour through ace, who is clearly at odds with log almost every time they meet. however... i don't think log is being rude to ace with malicious intent; if at all, log is kind and caring, but the way he expresses that care is not shown in a straightforward manner. additionally, it's important to consider the amount of information each character knows about the other and how much they understand each other before jumping to conclusions.
let's review ace's history and goals first. ace has just moved to borrius a week before the plot begins, and log is ace and melony's legal guardian. ace's goal is to find his parents, who have not been seen in ages. this is all shown through this conversation between ace and log in the beginning of the game:
Prof. Log I was planning on giving Ace a Pokemon of his own someday, but now I don't have to! Ho ho ho! Ace Someday? I've been here a whole week, and you made it sound like I was gonna get one any day now! Prof. Log Well, of course I was always going to give you one, Ace! There are plenty of errands I'm too old to run myself, after all! It's just that... well... you seem to be insistent on going off on your own, to look for your parents. I keep telling you, no one has seen them in years! Even if they are somehow still in Borrius, finding them is much too big a task for you alone. I was waiting for you to accept that fact before giving you your own Pokemon, but you refuse to listen to me! Ace I'm more than capable of doing it on my own, old man. You may be my "legal guardian" or whatever in Borrius, but you sure don't know anything about me!
ace is brash, headstrong, and will do anything to achieve his goals; if you've played through the entire game, that should be quite apparent as a major trait of his character. he is clearly pissed off that log won't support him doing what he wants, and i understand that log sounds condescending and rude to ace on a first glance...
...however, consider this: you're an old man who has just gotten two 18-year-olds under your wing. one of them keeps running off alone to god-knows-where without a pokemon to protect himself from danger, without listening to advice and going off alone, or even the foresight to see that his task of finding his parents would be like finding a needle in a haystack. log is saying all of this because he is trying to keep ace safe. the reason for their conflict is because ace and log's values and perspectives aren't aligned: ace thinks log is being overbearing and not respecting his goals in that his answers are so close and log is stopping him from getting them; log thinks ace he needs to calm down and think before rushing headfirst into danger. the most important line in this dialogue is this one:
Prof. Log I was waiting for you to accept that fact before giving you your own Pokemon, but you refuse to listen to me!
clearly, the professor is willing to support ace! but he wants ace to understand his viewpoint and be able to take responsibility for himself before he can fully trust ace by giving him a pokemon. he even says that the task of finding marlon and ivory isn't something that ace can do alone, which again supports the implication that he is willing to help him achieve his goal. am i saying that this is the right way to talk to kids who won't listen to you? no! the way he says these things can definitely be inconsiderate, but you have to remember that he believes ace is going into danger and he's the one responsible for ace if he gets hurt.
(also, you might think hey, but log is forcing ace to run errands, too! well, presumably log is also giving ace and melony a roof over their heads and taking care of them in some way, and log clearly isn't at his physical prime. if he wants to feed all of them and can't walk properly then of course he'd get ace and melony to help him out. unless you're a very ungrateful sorta-grandchild, or you've got better places to be like ace, you'd probably hear your poor grandpa-standin out lest he kick you out into the snowy forest.)
also, earlier, we noted these lines by log, too:
Prof. Log [Player]! What are you doing? I told you to check in with your mother! ...Don't look at me like that. Didn't your mother ever teach you to listen to your elders? Go see her!
log's an old man. he's a bit old-fashioned. you wouldn't really blame him for believing that respecting your elders is important, yeah? that's what he thinks ace isn't doing. and ace really isn't respecting his elder, actually, but ace is just like that as a character. that's what gives him charm.
...which brings me back to the main plot as supplementary evidence that log is actually just looking out for the younger ones in town. it's very important to note that he tries to discourage arthur from involving the player in his arguably very dangerous plan to stop the shadows. the following dialogue happens after arthur tells jax to stop the shadows:
Prof. Log Well, [Player], I think it's time for you to head home. You've completed your errand, and I'm sure your mother misses you. But still, I'm surprised that you managed to get here so easily... I'll have to brag to your mother about what a reliable errand [boy/girl] you've become! Ho ho ho! Arthur Now, wait just a moment, Euler. I know Jax is capable, but I believe this young [man/lady] may be just as useful. [Player] has had prior experience with these "Shadows", and Jax very well might benefit from the extra assistance [Player] could lend. Prof. Log Assistance? Arthur, [Player] only became a Trainer very recently... Is that... is that Dresco Town's Gym Badge? To think that you'd make this much progress so quickly...
and even after arthur insists that player joins in the plan (and then again after they come back from cinder volcano with jax), log tries to reassure the player's mom so that she doesn't worry about her child going off to fight an enemy about 10 times their size:
Prof. Log Alright, [Player], you may follow after Jax. I'll... tell your mother you finished my errand, and you've left home to take the Gym Leader challenge. Yes, I think that will do it.
Prof. Log I'll head back to Frozen Heights, [Player]. I'll explain to your mother that I've seen you off, and you're on your way to the next Gym Badge. No sense in letting her worry, after all.
you might note that he's more polite to player than he is with ace. that's probably because player doesn't disagree with the things he says, doesn't have ace's attitude, and isn't running off on their own straight into danger — they're even coordinating with arthur (who log obviously trusts) to make a plan before they go!
anyway, to conclude this section: i don't think ace ever really comes to understand log's intentions and respect him by the end of the game, but i hope this at least proves that log is truly just kind and wants to look out for the young ones, and his conflict with ace is not out of malice but out of worry.
and as for the other old man...
the main plot here is certainly a good place to swerve to focus on arthur as a contrast, who i believe is actually the one who is less kind of the two old men. seeing the way he treats jax and player is a stark contrast to the way log treats ace, in a weird uno-reverse sort of way.
overall, arthur is portrayed as a wise historian who was the previous champion of borrius, and acts as the leader of the group against the shadows and light of ruin. one thing that immediately stands out to me when i go through the script is that... you can barely point out any flaws. he's knowledgeable and wise, people trust him, and as a leader he knows exactly what needs to happen and how to proceed through with his plan. he never truly comes into conflict with anyone like log does, and as a supporting character, he doesn't get any true character growth like jax does. the lack of content where he does something outside his assigned narrative role leads to this section being more theory than proper analysis, and some of his influence is better seen through jax's struggles instead of through himself.
nonetheless, arthur clearly knows his place in-universe, as he takes control of the conversation and the plan quite quickly after the apparent goal of the shadows becomes clear. notice that everything major that happens in this scene is because of an order from arthur:
Arthur Not yet, Jax. First things first, I need you to fly to Frozen Heights and bring Prof. Log here.
Prof. Log What do you think should be done about this, Arthur? Arthur Jax will fly out to intercept these "Shadows". So far, he's shown himself to be a quite capable Trainer... And as you know, Euler, I've been training him as my successor, so I believe he's our best hope. He'll confront these "Shadows" and stop them before they reach Moltres. Prof. Log Of course. That seems like a very reasonable plan, Arthur.
arthur is the one who insists that player be included in the plan, despite log's concerns. i could even argue that arthur is the one forcing player to join in the story, and not log:
Arthur Now, wait just a moment, Euler. I know Jax is capable, but I believe this young [man/lady] may be just as useful. [Player] has had prior experience with these "Shadows", and Jax very well might benefit from the extra assistance [Player] could lend. Prof. Log Assistance? Arthur, [Player] only became a Trainer very recently...
arthur never even asks for player's (or jax's!) input into this whole plan — they're just kinda standing there the whole time. the way he talks about them — jax will do this, player will do that — implies that he sees player and jax more in terms of their potential, their skills and experiences that could assist in his plan, and deploys them like a commander deploying troops. hell, note that he calls player (and by extension jax) useful, like they're tools. chess pieces. in stark contrast, log's first thoughts when player is dragged into the plan are to act on a protective instinct to prevent player from jumping into what he perceives is a very dangerous task and to think about what to tell their mom, who is being kept in the dark and will likely worry about her child.
in other words: arthur is like a chessmaster, and player, jax, the shadows, the light of ruin... are all pieces in his big game of mind-chess. and he has the confidence and experience (as former champion, most likely) to back himself up.
(making a side-note here to say that arthur's guidance, his confidence, his legacy... all are huge contributing factors to jax's growth. as we know, jax is trained to become arthur's successor, and early-game jax shares an (over)confidence in his being able to thwart the shadows. when he's defeated, he realises he's yet to reach arthur's level and expectations, and through arthur being a near-perfect role model and player literally showing up out of nowhere and being better than him, it absolutely destroys his self-confidence and drives him to be more reckless in a bid to prove himself. it doesn't work. it's player's influence again in the distortion world and then the champion battle which starts to turn his mindset around.)
this objective side of arthur brings a shade of doubt to arthur's kindness to player when he's sending them out to cinder volcano, or even his faith in jax (specifically jax, since he's the one who fails, but player would also be included here) when player meets him in dehara city. it's interesting to think that instead of telling player to mind their own limits, he's telling them that they could be a liability if they get hurt:
Arthur Don't force yourself, [Player]. If you feel you are too injured to continue, then you must fall back. Jax will help, if it comes to that. Good luck, youngster.
it's also interesting to ponder where arthur's trust in jax comes from — is it in jax himself, as his grandson and successor? or is it in the training and experiences that he's given jax?
Arthur Oh? You say Jax wasn't with Zeph? That gives me hope... he must still be out there...
Arthur If they have taken Jax... no, I'll try to stay optimistic. Jax is a resourceful boy... But lately, he seems to be contacting me less and less... and with less pep, every time.
...but arthur never actually seems to show much worry towards any other individual, so it's hard to determine just how much of each he holds.
from this it's possible to theorise out of this that arthur rarely takes emotions into account, especially when brewing his plans. it's likely that this is from his experience as champion and having to act in a leadership position, though again, it's unclear what the duties of the champion of borrius are. his dialogue after player beats the post-game suggests that he isn't so aware of how deeply his influence runs in jax's image of himself, and doubts the way he's been training jax:
Arthur He... well, actually, he came to see me just before. He told me about how the pressure of trying to live up to my legacy was messing with his head... All the more so after the setbacks against the Shadows ad the Light of Ruin. I admit, perhaps I was asking too much of him... So I told him that he should improve himself, for his own sake, not mine.
...but because this also represents a change in arthur's view of jax, it's hard to determine whether he was so considerate about jax's feelings before. nevertheless, his support of jax is a wonderful backbone for the growth he does offscreen before he returns as a title defense challenger for the player.
and when you compare him to log, you can clearly see who the kinder one is by thinking about where their priorities are when faced with issues. it's quite neat to consider that the very kind-presenting arthur is much less considerate of his own grandson than log, who seems to just throw metaphorical hands with ace (who he's known for a week) every other time he shows up!
once again, as a disclaimer: arthur just doesn't talk as much as the main characters and doesn't get into conflicts the same way as log, so please take this above section with a grain of salt, as it's mostly theory and speculation.
so! in conclusion! hopefully that leaves you a little more informed about the old men and why they act the way they do. i'm not the world's #1 fan of log nor arthur by any means, but i do believe that it's important to truly understand the character before making untrue claims about them. (and you're still free to dislike them, in whichever case, but now you can hate them accurately!)
#pokemon unbound#arthur unbound#log unbound#character analysis#hopefully this is clear enough it's like 4000 words of pure brain juice#the important thing is to be able to back up your claims with evidence and think critically about the characters#even if you hate them! in which case it is even more important to hate accurately :D#thanks avi for having a very nice discussion with me about the old men it was very productive and fun#shoutout to mage for moral support and helping provide evidence as well!#alright i've rambled enough. en out

Okay you guys are not going to believe this or maybe you will believe this maybe I'm just slow and this is common knowledge in the fanbase. However, I was doing my yearly mbav marathon and last night I watched The Brewed; I've always been curious on the timeline of each episode and when they take place during the year I'm a stickler for it because of my fanfiction series I always thought the gang face off against supernatural forces pretty much every week I mean the show is a monster of the week format so in my eyes it makes sense.
However, I do like to think there are slow weeks or months where nothing happens but for the most part, I like to think the gang deal with supernatural problems pretty often. And I was under the impression that season one went from late September to early November or December and season two is pretty much the same timeline unless they went back to school early since it was still warm enough to have pool parties who knows I don't love in Canada.
What I'm trying to get at here is in the Brewed Hick's said he got Latta Latte to Celebrate 100 days until Summer Vacation I've always been intrigued with that line I tried to search for an estimate of the date before a few years ago but found nothing until today.
100 days until summer vacation puts the episode in around February which is kind of insane to me but makes sense, since in the same episode Rory takes his zombie mask from the teacher's lounge and said Hick's took it from him back in September notice how he says September not last month or two months ago. (Yeah, I know that's a stretch but it's still interesting to me, let me cook.) Still the point is from the way Rory spoke it seems like he got that taken away a good while ago which was always odd to me if the episode took place during the last half of the year. But wait there's more, I found out when the gang's midterms most likely took place for episode 13.
According to Goggle, again this could be for the US only but I'm rolling with it. Midterms normally take place mid-October to mid-March (Yes, I know this should be common knowledge to many, but I've been homeschooled my entire life don't @ me.) It couldn't have been in October since the gang just stopped Jesse about a month ago and the school year would've just begun for them for the most part. Plus, in Three Geeks and a Demon which takes place a good few days before the season finale. Benny says they owned an evil tree last month referring to episode 8 Die Pod. So that puts episodes 8, 9, and maybe 10 around January to February I already established episode 11 takes place in February as well; but episodes 12 and 13 takes place in March or around that time. In other words, their adventures are a lot more spread out then I originally thought and more importantly how much supernatural insanity took place behind the scenes.
I don't know if this is entirely accurate since it's a tv show and potholes pop up all over the place if there are any inconsistencies that you can debunk let me know I'll revolute everything.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
TLDR: While doing research for future mbav fanfic entries I discovered that episode 11 takes place somewhere in February and freaked out because I thought the first season's timeline was September to around November to December. I could be super wrong though.

Ok, so I saw you saying that PJO Hades was a bad dad
Can you please elaborate on this? Because I saw a post saying that Hades saw Bianca as a chess piece only and I'm FASCINATED by that
I
thank you for the ask! i know exactly which post you're talking about (unfortunately i can't find it lolll), so i'll use that idea as well as what i think about pjo hades in general.
so i don't know where you read me saying that but i'll do my best to fit the context. as you know, the fandom tends to praise hades a lot as a godly parent, even calling him one of the best alongside poseidon and apollo (the former i firmly disagree with for reasons similar to this). the praise is likely because of hades seeing nico more than once in a blue moon and the dead limosine driver he sent for him. other reasons i can think of is hades riding into battle with nico in TLO and offering nico a home in the underworld.
not to say any of this is bad but it is frustrating that this excuses hades' behaviour and that hades is immediately put into the "best godly parent" label. a lot of this is also because of hades' own resentment towards the olympians so people in the fandom tend to sympathise with him having the olympians as a common foe, and insisting he is nothing like them. in fact, the complete opposite is true precisely because of the one scene that percy witnesses between him and nico in TLO that highlights this resentment in the first place.
the whole point of this argument between hades and nico where the latter tries to get the former to ride into battle against kronos is to actually crystallise hades' similarities with the olympians not to foster division between the two parties (HEAR ME OUT). readers may have been led to believe up until this point that hades is an outlier because of how nico was treated upon being discovered as one at the end of TTC and into BOTL. everything seen in TLO such as him cursing the oracle of delphi and his staunch stubbornness to join a battle where he clearly has much to lose (despite what he might say) is meant to highlight hades as vindictive and as prideful as the olympians. he goes out of his way to punish the olympians for what happened to maria and for their general mistreatment of him by outright targeting the innocent (cursing the then oracle and causing may castellan's whole predicament) and sitting tight while the whole world falls apart around him. i emphasise this because this is exactly the kind of behaviour expected and seen many times from the olympians, and something the fandom ignores while idolising him and separating him from them.
i say this first to debunk the point of hades being positively different to the olympians that leads to his perception as a good parent. now to his ACTUAL parenting. his decision to put bianca and nico into the lotus hotel, while made in crisis, affected them severely, especially bianca. by being left alone with nico in a strange place that warped perceptions of time, it led to her parentification, which is definitely the most tragic part of her character. this specific part of bianca's arc would have also meant her being prone to manipulation in plots bigger than her, which leads me to her being hades' chess piece. when thalia died and got turned into tree (because of monsters sent by hades, mind you), it would have left bianca as the next potential prophecy child once freed from the lotus hotel. if you recall, bianca and nico were let out of the hotel before the events of TLT, which was most certainly in the few years after thalia's death. the theory is that hades was now allowing bianca and nico to grow and whose continued existence would later be revealed to hades' brothers as giant leverage in the prophecy. the person with the potential to destroy olympus being under hades' whims, who resented the olympians enough to potentially go against them, would have been a frightening prospect for them as it would not have been someone in the olympians' proximity like percy or thalia, and thus easier to control. hades may not have necessarily wanted to defeat olympus but earning a huge bargaining chip against them would have surely granted him some favours and influence.
this is fully why i think hades said the whole "it would have been better if bianca lived" thing to nico; not out of favouritism, but because nico wasn't as appealing as leverage as she was. plus, if we dare glance at the atrocity that is TSATS, hades literally MADE UP A PROPHECY to send nico and will into TARTARUS to deal with a titan held hostage because his cries were getting annoying. (if i had a nickel for every time hades fucked up the oracle, i'd have two nickels yada yada). what kind of parent willingly sends their child into the literal SUPERHELL, a place which has already traumatised nico once, and then says "oopsies, my bad" at the end?? hades literally used his demigod child for a quest like every other olympian and proceeded to go "gods don't know how parenting humans works, old habits die hard haha" as the lamest excuse ever.
also if we want to conflate hades and pluto (this entire fandom including rick himself already conflates zeus and jupiter so why the hell not?), then he was absolutely AWFUL to hazel by literally letting her suffer so much with her mother and getting her crayons the one time he actually makes an effort to see her? the dissonance between hazel and nico (who does not have it much better) is insane.
#diya answers#rrverse#anon#anyway that's my piece thanks for coming#this is so disjointed OMG but enjoy#tumblr HATES to see me answer asks about pjo

Week 5: Bears- Myths, legends, and conservation!
I want to talk about a subject that is near and dear to my heart and personal experiences. Banff National Park is home to some of the most majestic wildlife in Canada, including bears! Unfortunately, misinformation about bears is widespread, leading to unnecessary fear and sometimes dangerous interactions. I hope that in this post, I can debunk some common myths, share stories about some of my personal encounters with bears, and explore conservation efforts to keep bears safe.
Myths debunked
Growing up in an urban city in Ontario, I had never seen or had to worry about bears. When I moved to Banff, many of the “facts” that I had heard about bears ended up being far from true. Let’s debunk some common misconceptions about bears
1. Bears are aggressive and are constantly on the hunt for humans
FALSE: Bears prefer to avoid humans whenever possible. Most bear encounters occur because the bear is surprised, feels threatened, or is protecting its territory or cubs. Let’s not forget, were invading their space, not the other way around. Bears are omnivores – most of their diet consists of berries and roots. If you maintain a respectful distance, bears shouldn’t bug you.
2. Black bears, Grizzly bears, and Brown bears are all different species.
FALSE: There are only 2 species of bears in Alberta: black bears (Ursus americanus) and grizzly bears (Ursus arctos). Despite their names, colour is not the best way to tell them apart since black bears can also be brown in colour. Black bears are typically smaller and have a pointed face. Grizzly bears have a distinct shoulder hump and a concave face. For more details and photos check out this resource:
3. You should run away from an attacking bear:
FALSE: you will never outrun a bear. Instead, slowly back away, make noise, get big, and have your bear spray ready.
The Boss Bear – Alberta’s most famous grizzly bear
The Boss (Aka bear 122) is a massive male grizzly who has dominated Banff National Park for years. He is estimated to weight over 600lbs, is father to over 50% of cubs in the area (making him key in maintaining the local bear population) and is known for his incredible survival skills – he has survived being hit by a train TWICE. Unlike other bears, The Boss is constantly seen coexisting in areas with high human activity, frequently spotted by highways and trails yet managing to avoid conflict with humans. If you ever get a chance to go to Banff, ask a Parks Canada ranger if they have had any encounters with The Boss.
My Own Bear Encounters
When I lived in Banff, I had a few encounters with bears. Many times, I saw them scavenging for food in the forest. I also had a few encounters on hikes and saw many bears on the golf course. It was always a reminder of how important it is to respect wildlife by keeping a safe distance and not leaving food out in nature to attract them. Here are some photos of bears I saw (taken from vehicles and maintaining a safe distance).

The Loss of Nakoda and the Importance of Bear Conservation
When I lived in Banff, a devastating event happened in Yoho National Park in BC (about an hour from Banff). Nakoda was an extremely rare white grizzly bear, with her white fur caused by a recessive gene. Since she is so rare, Parks Canada installed electric fences around her habitat to protect her from human activity. Despite these efforts, in summer 2024, her two cubs were struck by a speeding car on the highway. Only two days later, Nakoda was also struck on the same highway. Nakoda was the only known white grizzly in Canada.
Nakoda’s death highlights a major issue: road mortality. Highways that cut through bear habitats put these animals at risk, and speed limits and wildlife crossings are crucial in reducing fatalities. Since this accident, conservation groups have continued to advocate for improved measures, including over highway animal crossings and responsible tourism practices. Here is a photo of Nakoda and her cubs before they were killed.

If you ever visit an area with a bear population, remember that simple actions like driving cautiously in bear-prone areas, securing garbage, and respecting bear safety guidelines can make a huge difference. Bears are a vital part of Canada’s ecosystems, and with the right efforts, we can ensure that we will continue to see them thriving in the wild. If you made it this far, thanks for reading to my post this week. This topic is very important to me.

Peace be with you all friends, happy All Hallows Eve to you!! This will be a somewhat lengthy post because I think I have some ideas worth sharing.
So for those of you who don't know All Hallow's Eve is the day before all saints day. The day when the Church remembers her saints. The Catholic and Orthodox churches alongside high church protestants observe the day as to keep alive the memory of those who gave their lives to the faith, either working tirelessly to spread the Gospel, help us to understand the nature of God better, or literally gave their lives in witness for the Gospel.
A few saints outside of the Bible I think are worth sharing.
Saint Athanasius- 5x exiled for defending the divinity of Christ and kept fighting heresy.
Saint Anslem- Theologian who made the ontological argument of God.
Saint Patrick- Herald of God's kingdom to Ireland.
Saint Maximilian Kolbe- Took the place of a married Jewish man destined to be killed in WW2 at the cost of his life.
Saint Justin Martyr- Early Church Father who recklessly defended the Christain faith, to the point of writing letters to the Roman Emperor to debunk rumors. This cost him his life.
Sadly (at least to me) this day marks the anniversary of when Dr. Martin Luther nailed the 95 theses, which contained 95 points of protest against the perceived and real problems occurring within the Roman Catholic church. Ofc the indulgences scheme to build Saint Peter's Basicillia comes to mind yet there was plenty of clerical and liturgical abuses, inconsistentcy in training for the priesthood going on too. I am not going to talk about why I think the Catholic position is more correct. Plenty of smart people have done this before me. What I will offer are a few ideas to foster deeper unity.
Working in common interest- while having deep differences Catholics, Orthodox and Lutherans share a common foundation and values. For example Christian orthodoxy (just right belief, not the churches) rejects aborti0n. Think about how much more of a statement it would be if Catholics and Protestants if instead of holding separate marches were one big march at state capitals?
Learning from one another- As Thomas Aquinas said "All truth, is God's truth". While I don't believe God intended his beloved Church to fracture this to me seems very human. God works with human errors as he did with Israel when they fractured, God's grace and power works through all who strive to know him. While I am Catholic I still consume non-Catholic Christian media. For example on Youtube the Lutheran Pastor Jordan B. Cooper, makes videos about the Lutheran confession explaining it. These videos help inform me so I don't strawman Lutherans and I better understand the Catholic faith by seeing the differences. Furthermore he makes other videos especially on etiquette which is informative.
Talk to each other- similar to my first point, but different enough to be worth mentioning. If we talk to each other, it will do so much good. When we talk to each other it will break down prejudices and enlighten both parties quickly. We will see each other as more than souls 'on the wrong side' but friends who we value and care to learn more about.
I hope this post gives some helpful thoughts. May the love of Jesus Christ that surpasses all understanding br with you all.
