I just want to say something, but I have an ask:

For what I want to ask: is there any advice for writing a story that you're okay with giving or feel confident in giving?? I'm working on one myself, but I would love to have any type of helpful advice.

As for what I want to say: I really hope you're taking care of yourself. Take it easy, please make sure to drink water and eat (something small or not), and I hope your rest is...okay, if not better.

First of all, thanks a lot for checking in on me! I'm currently doing a bit better, trying my best to take of myself even when it's not easy🖤

As for your question, I do have some advice/tips I can give you, but please keep in mind that I'm not a professional writer, despite creative writing being a great passion/interest of mine!

Write down the message(s) you want to give with your story, as well as the main topics you want to convey. Use these as guidelines to avoid straying off-topic.

Plan your story ahead. Basically, write down the plot with all the main events, a sort of summarization of the whole story. It doesn't have to be too detailed, and you can use a bulleted list to keep this as simple as possible

Divide your story into main arcs, and at this point, split them into chapters. They don't have to be 100% accurate to the final products, but they'll serve as guidelines and will help you keep everything more clear and organized.

Flesh out each chapter, adding more details, like dialogues, descriptions of the environment/settings, the characters and their emotions.

Write down a brief "character page" for each character that appears in the story, making sure to include their personal info (name, age, personality, brief backstory etc) as well as their role in the story. This will help you keep their behaviours and interactions more realistic and believable.

Once everything is settled, I'd highly suggest writing a script, with dialogues etc. You won't have to 100% stick to this when working on the actual story/comic/visual novel etc, improvisation can be cool and it's okay to change some of the dialogues last minute (I did this too many times lol because I suddenly came up with sentences that I felt like they fitted better)

Never give up!! Working on a story can be really time-consuming and draining, and not receiving enough positive feedback can discourage you. Keep in mind that there will always be people who love your story, and don't forget that writing should be something that makes YOU happy

i "came out" as plural to my counselor a while ago without using the specific terms, but it feels like she just isn't taking me seriously, or acknowledging that these parts are seperate pieces of me. its really frustrating, because its something she needs to understand about us... and she just isnt getting it.

hey, we’re really sorry to hear you’ve been dealing with someone in your life who you should be able to rely on not taking your system or plurality seriously.

we do have a post with tips and advice on “coming out” as a system to loved ones.

at this point, after you’ve already talked to your counselor about being plural, it may be a good idea to send some resources her way so she can start learning about plurality from some outside perspectives. for singlets who haven’t really heard much about plurality, it may take learning from a few resources in order for them to realize that this is a real phenomenon, and an integral part of who you are that affects every aspect of your life. we’re not sure whether or not you have a dissociative disorder, and we’ve included these links in the above post, but we’ll go ahead and add links to the articles that we (a did system) use whenever we attempt to explain our multiplicity to someone new.

we do hope that after sharing some resources and talking earnestly and openly about your plurality and how it impacts you, your counselor will be a bit more understanding and accommodating. however, please understand that this might not happen. sometimes singlets can be baffled, indifferent, or uncomfortable about plurality. facing something that they don’t understand may cause them to ignore it or lash out.

our system personally prefers to be ignored as a system rather than be shamed, fakeclaimed, or belittled due to our multiplicity. your system might need to have some internal conversations in order to make this call for yourselves. hopefully, your counselor will be open to learning and can start treating your system with the respect and recognition y’all deserve. but if that doesn’t happen, we hope y’all can find some validation internally and continue to learn more about each other and work together in positive ways.

Shuffling and other noises filled the air as her friend leaned her head closer to peer at the outfit she was currently perfecting around her. Making sure the ruffles fluffed out just right and the curls of her man weren't crooked in any way. "You've been awfully quiet, Darling." Her friend flinched. "Is something bothering you?" There was a short pause before she sighed and turned her head to peer at the white unicorn in glasses. "I guess I'm just having pre-date jitters. That's all." Yesterday had seemed like a blur and she almost chalked it up to being a dream. Keyword being almost. If it wasn't for Fluttershy dropping by with a cute Hearts and Hooves Day card(she always gave one to her friends and family) and wishing her luck on her date with Discord. Of course she was prepared and read One Hundred and Two Tips For Interspecies Dating Cadence had leant her. Unfortunately, it didn't cover draconequues. So she went to Plan B! Who was the most expert in dating and relationships in close range? "I don't entirely blame you, Twilight. This is Discord we're talking about....Lift your wing please." She did as she asked silently. Rarity may have not seemed like the best choice in relationship advice, but she had enough experience with failed dates and crushes to know what to look out for. And to help her get ready. "I honestly didn't know you still had this. I haven't seen it since Cadence and Shining Armor's wedding." She looked down at the old bridesmare dress Rarity had dug out. She didn't have time to put together a whole outfit for her, but luckily she had an older dress. All that was needed was some wing room. "I was thinking about donating some of my old fashions to the local performing group, but it seems it was a good thing I held onto this one." "Mmm hmm. I'm sure everything's gonna be fine. It's just Discord after all." The unicorn stopped what she was doing and looked at the alicorn princess with a raised brow. "You sound so unsure about this." "Well, of course!" "AND you gave him your word you would go with him. Did you not?" "YES! But that's-" "Then you should have no problem with it." And as the Princess of Friendship I shouldn't let something like a date get in the way of our friendship. But that's not why I'm...….having doubts." Rarity took her time finishing the last of the stitching before calmly looking at her and asking, "What ever do you mean? I'm sure he'll behave himself. Half way at least." "I.....don't exactly have good dating experience." Rarity turned to trot over behind a curtain of sorts but still listened. "Whatever do you mean? You went on one with that-oh, what's his name- Flash Centry!" Twilight sighed and sat down. "He was nice, and a real gentlecolt, but he wasn't the same outgoing, spunky guy I met in the place they call 'highschool'." The curtain was drawn back and Rarity proudly trotted out wearing an elegant dress that very nicely showed off her natural beauty and well done hair. She noticed her friend's stare and posed. "You like it? I've been saving it for a rainy day." "You look beautiful, Rarity. I'm taking it you have a lucky date," Twilight teased lightly, "Who's the lucky stallion this time?" Rarity giggled. "Capper. He's meeting me later at Sugarcube Corner. But, on the topic of lucky dates- Do give Discord a fair chance." She reached out a hoof to place on her shoulder. "Trust me when I say I know from experience. Sometimes it's better to chance it with a friend then to fall for fancy fake-ness. Besides. It's Hearts and Hooves Day. Nopony deserves to be alone." She slowly smiled. "Thanks, Rarity. I should give him the benefit of the doubt." She nodded her head. "That's good to hear. Now, I suggest we both go before our dates come looking for us."

By the time she left Rarity and went back to the giant castle, she realized not much time had passed as she had thought. Only maybe two hours at most. That just left more time to let her mind wonder about all the crazy things that could happen. This WAS Discord after all. So, she did what she normally did when stressed. She read. She wasn't sure exactly how long she'd been(trying to) reading the same two pages, but it felt like an eternity. Especially with her past of awkward non romantic experiences and having basically zero confidence in that area. Perhaps if she pretended that this was just a fun platonic get together with a guy friend? Yeah! That's it! Just look at this as one of those girl buddy guy buddy hangouts. She had those with spike all the time. Heck! It just might be more fun with Discord's crazy antics. She released a sigh of relief at her idea and was finally able to turn the page- "EEEKKK!!!"

The book was dropped to the ground with a thud. She scurried back against the couch at the sight of a giant red and yellow eye staring at her from the page. "Discord!" A deep chuckle filled the air before the familiar flash of light lit up in front of her. A moment later, she was staring up at the smiling creature. "I was wondering when you would turn to me. I was waiting for almost an hour you know. It's very rude to ignore your date." She face hooved. "I didn't know you would-! *sigh* Nevermind. You're here. Let's go and do whatever you planned." He hummed. "Straight to the point I see. But, I may have to change my original plans. She tilted her head confused. "Why?" He pointed his lion paw at her outfit. "My dress?" "If I had known you would dress up like this just for out date, I would've planned something much better suiting." "What? You don't have to-" "Nonsense," he cut her off, "A pretty dress like this doesn't deserve to be wasted. If anything, it'll make things much more fun." "Fun? Fun how?" He smiled. "You'll see soon enough." He raised his eagle claw to snap again. A bright flash of white light filled the room making her squeeze her eyes shut. The sudden shift in environment gave her an uneasy feeling as she was forced on her hooves once again. She opened her magenta eyes, but had to blink a few times to actually take in her new surroundings. "Discord, where are we?" Giant buildings loomed overhead as the sun had just began to set. Yeesh! She spent more time getting ready at Rarity's then she thought. It couldn't be Canterlot. Canterlot had a more.....fancy atmosphere to it. "Manehatton. I knew the young nobles of Canterlot had driven you up a wall, and they don't need to be encouraged by seeing you all dolled up for today." She finally looked at him and blinked. The orange tux from the last gala was back. He noticed her stare and quirked an eyebrow. "Is the tophat too much?" "Wha- Uh! No no. You look really good in orange." He lit up an her compliment. "Why thank you, my dear. And might I say-" He suddenly shot down and grabbed one of her hooves. "-YOU look lovely tonight.~" Her face flushed a deep purple at his compliment. Discord chuckled at her reaction before nodding towards the building in front of them. "Shall we?" She only nodded and he extended a limb. "Well, Princesses first.~" What looked like a simple house in the middle of a city had turned out to be some kind of restaurant. A few couples were seated here and there making googoo eyes at each other or talking. It seemed that this café was cottage themed? It certainly wasn't over the top. "Hi there!" Twilight jumped from the new voice. A slightly smaller pony stared at them in a waitress outfit. She smiled a mouth full of braces at them. "Welcome to Cozy Critters! How can I help you today?" "Just the regular and table for me, Bubbles. You might want to take her order though," Discord piped up before she could. She nodded and turned around. "Follow me please." They were lead to a small table near the back and sat down. Twilight thanked her and took the menu in an aura of purple magic. It showed plenty of options, but she didn't feel like anything fancy though so- "I think I'll just have the hayburger and-" She looked up and froze at what she saw. "-some water. Discord. Are you eating a table?"

The draconequues smiled down at her with his mouth full. A small coffee table was in his hands. Neither noticed the waitress walk away. He gulped before answering. "Why yes. How very observant of you. This is my usual after all." "Why?" "Twilight, the better question is why not. You are talking to THE embodiment of Chaos." He had a point. She shook her head but smiled. "I guess you're right." She glanced around. "Where are we anyways?" "Fluttershy's favorite restaurant. It reminds her of home, and they DO have excellent tables." He took another bite of the table. It splintered and made a crunching sound where he bit down. "Oh. Well, it's really not what I expected, but it's very nice." She paused when something hit her. "Hey." He hummed. "You said you had plans before you decided on this. What was it?" He shrugged. "Just some star gazing up close and seeing the making of a super nova. But, this is probably better. Less noise and more room to talk." Her jaw dropped. "Are you being serious?" "Completely." A small silence followed with him continuing to eat his table. Eventually the waitress pony came back expertly balancing a tray on her head. She bent down and slid it in front of the princess. "Will there be anything else?" Discord shook his head. "No, Bubbles. Just put that on my tab, dear." The burger was pretty good as she bit into it over and over,. The two ate in silence for what seemed like forever- "You seem pretty quiet." She jolted, almost dropping her water, and looked up at him. He still smiled with a raised brow. He no longer had his table so she assumed he finished eating. "O-Oh. Sorry. I just-I'm not familiar with this kinda stuff." "Surely you have been on a date before." His smile faded and his brow rose further. "With all these young stallions' sudden interest, I thought you'd at least go on a coffee date." She coughed nervously and rubbed the back of her neck. Averting her eyes nervously. "I....uh....Went on one. And I'm the one who kinda asked him. B-B-But it's ok. We're good friends." "And you never accepted when someone else asked you?" He stroked his beard in thought. "How interesting." She shrugged. "They were interested, but their reasons weren't really that sincere." "Understandable." He waved a paw and a glass of chocolate milk appeared in it. "If their intentions weren't pure, then you shouldn't feel pressured to go." He took a gulp. "That's exactly how I feel!" She watched him chuckle and continue to drink. She had to admit she didn't expect Discord of all people to ask her out. Speaking of which- "Discord. Why intentions did you have for asking me?" He stopped mid sip and looked at her. "I guess it's finally that time, hmm?" He made his drink disappear with a flash, and leaned across the table. "I already told you last night, but knowing you, you'd want a more detailed answer. It's simple really." "Then why? Besides my obvious immortality." He chuckled again. "Besides that. Like I said before. You challenge me. Sure a chaotic life is plenty fun by itself, but what's life without a challenge every now and then? Hmm. Easy gets boring after a while. Plus-" He reached a hand over to boop her nose. "-You had some chaotic moments. I can name a few." She tutted. "Really? What?" He raised fingers as he spoke. "Oh. That time you cast those spells to change Fluttershy into a bat, make everypony want your smarty doll thing, have all those parasprites literally eat the town. And let's not forget when you switched everyone's cutie marks. Oh! What about the time you tried to figure out Pinkie's sense? Or when you thought I hypnotized everyone because you were jealous-" "Ok, ok!"

He outright laughed at her sudden intervention. "Shall I continue?" "No. That's ok. I think I get the picture." He leaned back to his full height. "But, I guess the main reason is the old saying that opposites attract. And who is more opposite than us two?" He winked. And despite herself, she giggled and pointed at him. "I thought I was supposed to be the one with love logic," she teased. He placed a paw to his chest in mock shock. "My dear starbutt. Wouldn't it be chaos if I started using logic? Hmhm." The rest of the night was actually quite relaxing and his play on logic made her more at ease. By the time she noticed how late it was, Discord had already snapped his fingers and in a flash of light, they reappeared inside her library. She blinked again again at the uneasy feeling of being forced on her hooves without warning. When she looked back up at Discord, the spirit was floating next to her without the tux. "Did you have fun?" "Yes!," she happily shouted, "Tonight was better than I thought it would be." She smiled sheepishly. "Thank you for treating me to such a lovely experience, Discord." His smile widened. "Think nothing of it. I rather enjoyed myself. Though I can't leave without giving you one last thing." "Oh? What's tha-" She froze as something warm pressed against her cheek. As quickly as it came it left, and Discord chuckled. "A good bye kiss. We should do this again sometime. Tata." In another flash of light, he was gone. Leaving her and her growing blush.

Do you have any tips for those who wish to create a webcomic?

I do apologize if this has been asked before!

this is a pretty big question that would probably be easier to answer if you had any specific things you'd like to know about!

but i can give you a summary of general things i've learned over the years!

disclaimer: these are my personal experiences, if any of this sounds like something that doesn't fit your workflow or preferences, please disregard!

if you've never made a webcomic before, i would personally recommend starting small. do a short oneshot first to see how it feels instead of diving right into your multi-season 2000 pages big epic story, because i feel like the workload can get really overwhelming really fast if you go from 0 to 100 right away. some creators thrive on that but it was definitely not for me. i have a lot of failed and unfinished projects sitting around because i was too ambitious and didn't know what i was getting myself into. later on i started drawing short comics for various fandoms & ships i was invested in deeply, and those got progressively longer until i suddenly felt ready to seriously tackle one of my original stories again. which was when i finally started working on #MUTED!

don't worry about sticking to the strict 60+ panels weekly schedule that you see a lot on platforms like webtoon for example. unless you've signed a contract, you make the rules and decide how much and how often you post. i've seen a lot of creators burn themselves out over that when there really wasn't any need because no one was forcing or paying them to churn out so much all the time T -T) you can still find an audience and success with a slower pace (for example #MUTED was released with 2 episodes a month, 1 ep usually had around 20ish panels iirc)

finished is better than perfect. if you're a perfectionist this can be difficult to accept, but i promise most people won't look at your panels for longer than 1.5 seconds. some wonky lines here and there don't matter much, it's more important to get the feelings across imho.

vector layers (for inking) are your best friend \o/

imho having a pretty clear outline for your story can be really helpful and take away some stress, knowing where the story is going without having to constantly sit down inbetween chapters to come up with more plot is a blessing and i wish i had been better about doing that with #MUTED. i did have a rough outline but a lot of holes in between chapters and in the end some things i would have liked to explore more never got touched on because my planning was bad and i wasn't able to find the room in the story (like some emma back story, more about jasper's family dynamics, also a bit more of a deep dive into kai's relationship with his family) (also towards the end i felt pretty burned out and just wanted to move on haha) [i'm not saying to plan every scene right from the get go, there's always room to adjust and remove or add stuff while you're working on the project, but a few important anker points here and there are important, at least for me!]

shortcuts are also your best friend, use all of them. 3d models too!

when you start publishing, don't get discouraged by algorithms and statistics and numbers (i say as that's something i still struggle with daily LOL), agonising over these things is pointless because they're mostly out of your control, focus on things you can actively do to be proud of your work. also instead of comparing yourself to others, instead compare yourself to past you! look how far you've come compared to the you from last year :>

i hope any of this helps, sorry for rambling lol if there's ever any specific questions, my asks are always open and i'll do my best to try and help out!! i'm also still learning and don't consider myself to be a person who really has anything to teach to anyone, but i can share my progress and experiences and hype you up if needed, hehe

how have you both been? days have been harsher here, and in spite of our hard efforts to overcome these barriers, times have been tougher recently. jiaoqiu appears rather at peace with his condition, but i'm afraid something darker is rotting inside his heart. if only i knew.

on the brighter side, we have been closer than ever these few days, and he seems rather at peace with not running about the place due to his duties; much like he was all those years ago. i'm certain you remember, back when we were in university together. those were easier days, and love was easy to maintain as it was to blossom.

when zhongli would be busy with other duties, i would drag you to the cafeteria to ask you about everything you knew about boys and their likes. you seemed to be rather fond of the fact that i had never been in the company of many, and would often tease me, but answer my incessant questions regardless. beautiful days, those were.

oh, and do you remember that time the four of us were a part of the same team that went to the swamps as a part of our educational tour? best memory ever! zhongli would be so cheesy all the time, always telling jiaoqiu and i to leave you two to your privacies for a while and go 'enjoy our few days of single-ness' and we'd never understand what you meant until one of those days of wandering off resulted in us falling for each other, and you both resulting in a hearty fit of laughter when we told you both about it.

alas, all good days come to an end. although i must say; every day spent thinking about our memories together is a day cherished. jiaoqiu speaks of zhongli often, and hopes you two will drop by some time. he seems to be of the impression that zhongli is an 'old man' who struggles with his vision all the time so he would be able to give amazing tips with his current condition. zhongli would be amused, i bet.

I’d be happy to give encouragement and support! I fall somewhere in the atheist/agnostic range, so I can’t offer any advice specifically on the Muslim side unfortunately, but as I saw someone else say, doing research into what your specific religious texts and teachings say about being LGBTQ+ is a very good place to start. Making sure that you have that knowledge is always a good thing, but above all else keep yourself and your girlfriend safe. Based on what I saw, it seems like you have a good plan for moving away, cutting contact, and so on, so this definitely seems like the right move.

This is a super tough decision to make, and you have the motivation to go through with it which is super impressive and speaks to the strength of your character. Ultimately, it will be a tough process as I’m sure you know already, but I think it will be worth it for the ability to be who you are and to be open about your feelings. Pride is absolutely for all, and I wish you and your girlfriend the best of luck!

That's a great question! I am not within a coven of my own but I've always been interested in finding one at least temporarily so I can grow in other areas for the experience so let me tell you what I know currently.

If you're looking locally, your best bet is at your local witchcraft shops or metaphysical expos. Often on their store bulletin boards they'll have group event postings, meet-ups and other adventures. IF that shop however uses a lot of appropriative items in it I'd personally be weary of anything linked to said shop.

Sometimes if you search for events on facebook or google you'll find local pagan or witch gatherings. You can find many like-minded people there. Remember personal safety when meeting up in person. Maybe take a friend if possible.

Are your friends witchy? Form your own if you have enough members! Remember to make a steady set of rules and boundaries for each other though.

For red flags, however, I suggest staying away from discord covens. They rarely turn out well. Use caution with most online covens as well. You are free to search them out but keep track of anything that gives you a bad gut feeling, use stranger danger and NEVER give out too much personal information. Cults especially are really easy to fall into. VERY easy, please stay safe.

Finding covens can be tough, especially safe and good ones. I wish you luck in your search and if anyone have any more tips feel free to leave them below!

Edit: I also wanted to add joining a coven is absolutely not necessary. It can be a lovely start to your practice to learn from others in that way but its absolutely not necessary. Solitary practice is just as powerful and sacred.

My apologies if this is not the right place, but I simply need to get this out somewhere, and I don't know where else to do so. I suppose it's a little bit of a vent.

I so desperately want to be plural, I am so tired of always being in control of this body, I wish I could take a break for a few days and just be in my headspace/inner world, but I have no idea how to get there. What must I do to not be the only one in this brain anymore? I realize this might be wrong of me, to wish for something that some might desperately want to rid themselves of, but I can't help it. I've wanted this for so long, but I can not achieve it.

Hi there! This is exactly the right place! And there's nothing wrong at all with wanting to be plural. Many systems exist without dissociative disorders, and even a majority with dissociative disorders like being plural, despite the other associated symptoms.

It sounds like you'll probably be interested in tulpamancy.

You should start with this list of questions to ask first before jumping in.

Remember though that Tulpamancy is a commitment. It's not something to just try out.

I do caution that if you make a tulpa, there's no guarantee they'll be comfortable fronting or will want to takeover for you for a time. This is something you'll have to work out with them. Please be considerate and don't push them to do something they aren't comfortable with.

Also, try to stay with them for a while early on if they do front. Young tulpas can be impulsive and can benefit from an experienced guiding hand.

Giving free rein over your body to a tulpa who doesn't have any life experience can be risky. Try to ease them into it.

of course!! first thing i could already tell you is

1. confidence and practice!!

you can already remove that thought about you not being the best writer off your mind!! i know a lot of people struggle with posting their work because they feel like they’re not good enough but really you just have to be courageous enough to post your first one and then practice will make everything!! you might not get too much recognition at first but you might be positively surprised with the engagement you get overtime!! i also did not imagine i would get so big when creating this account just months ago so i’m very thankful :’)

then 2. posting regularly(?)

i am not the best for this especially right now lol but try to communicate with your followers or with others through tags, ask them what they’d like to read, etc. and if you don’t get much engagement at first (which is totally normal) don’t be afraid to continue posting regularly, even if you get just a few likes!!! it’s very easy to quickly doubt yourself and your work but just try to think about writing for yourself, just for the fun of it too :D if you just post for likes and reposts you might get burned out easily… :/

also 3. synonyms!!!

especially because english is not my first language, i like to always have a tab opened to search for synonyms and specific vocabulary when i write!! it’s always nicer to read a work where the words are not repeated all the time!! also don’t be afraid to restart writing your drabble several times if you’re not satisfied. it usually takes me 2-3 times to actually like what i write lol but then the rest is much faster!! (it does take a lot of time though!!)

but either way, first of all, i wanted to thank you for your amazing stories, like, you‘ve really become my favorite writer and i‘m so hooked with your type of writing, i can’t even express it and i wish i‘d be just as half talented as you are, ngl.

the reason i‘m leaving this message here though is, that i’m kinda seeking for some of your advices, regarding writing stories. like, i think you‘ve mentioned before that you‘re not a native speaker right? Hey bub! I gave a few general writing tips here.

I do not have any methods tho 😕 I used to write ages ago (just not in English and under a different name), so that was a bit different experience for me. But you know, you learn as you go. Just write, write, write. To improve your English, you can always watch a lot of movies, tv shows, listen to music and read books.

When I first started this blog, I did my absolute best and I thought I’m doing good. Looking at some of the stories now, I’m a bit embarrassed 😅 But that’s what improvement is about, so don’t be scared of it! Just write, practice. Feedback might help you too. There are also beta readers who could be a huge help.

I’m not sure if I’m the right person to give any tips, but thank you for trusting me with this!

First off, OH YAY PLEASE WRITE IT!! So exciting!!

I actually answered a VERY similar ask a couple years ago where Nonny wanted to write a ficlet but didn't know how to start. And I have a small compilation of advice posts on this mini-masterpost here. The second link has basically the advice from all the other past posts I've done compiled into a small point-form list, hah hah.

But if you want what I do: Literally I just open up a Google doc and write "snippets" and then piece them together EVENTUALLY. I'm very slow at writing, and I have a LOT of half-written ficlets on my Google Docs right now, hahah. I find I just need the right motivation to go back to them once in awhile. I keep them on a Docs so that if I think of something to add to them while I'm out, I can access them from my phone and add onto them, LOL.

But yeah, again, I'm not the best person to ask about writing, even though I've answered a lot of asks about it, and other authors seem to think my advice was decent so yay lol. I know many authors plot out their stories, as do I when I write longer stories, but for me ficlets are just "bursts of inspiration" I jot down, and then later go back to flesh out and clean up when I have some free time.
