i want to see what england is like in the winter. do u like the winter there or do u prefer summer?

hmmm this is hard to answer because i prefer summer in the sense that i get to do things and im not being battered by mental illness quite as much and the sun is out etc etc, but i do think im incredibly guilty of romanticising autumn/winter and seeing as the question is about england in winter i think i'll lean towards that because the things i love about summer here are things i love about summer IN GENERAL whereas the winter months have some more specifically england reasons. like yes it gets dark at 6pm and it rains more often than it doesnt and the entire country exists under a grey blanket of puddles and clouds for four slutty slutty months, but also... i guess there's a sense that this is what it's supposed to be like. like THAT is england in a way the bright sunny summers aren't. england is wet and miserable which means we function best when it's wet and miserable, so i always think everyone feels very settled in winter. we get comfortable. we wrap up warm. we make soup. we put the kettle on. going to the pub feels cosier. you sit in a booth with your friends and get a pint. the last bus hasn't left yet but it's already dark out. sometimes it snows and settles on the countryside and it's beautiful. we have bonfire night in november where everyone waves sparklers in a muddy field and we eat toffee apples and still-warm donuts and we watch fireworks and light a big bonfire. in winter all the historical buildings look less out of place, every exposed beam and crooked alley and cobbled street appearing exactly as they should against the elements. all the english ever do is talk about the weather but winter makes it all feel more contained. strangers on the street will laugh with you about the rain. old people will start small talk at bus shelters about the lack of rain. the christmas lights reflect in the puddles on the street.

Needed to go for a run, and needed to go to the office for my flu shot. Killed two birds with one stone by running to the office and back.

I literally just had a dream of me, Nazo, and Seelkadoom having a country-wide road-trip across America in the cold and rainy winter that’s out of control. I also had a vaporeon and a sylveon from pokemon too, but honestly they would fit right into the sonic world, so there’s that!

It felt like such a fever dream, but yet it was so peaceful. We ventured all over the states to see what each of them had, and eventually we came across a large cathedral or possibly a library that I thought existed In Edinburgh, England. Yet it wasn’t! We were all over the place, but it didn’t feel all the ways fun, more so melancholy and a little more moody. There were good times, but most of it was overshadowed by the cold weather and traveling.

I was in a pretty dark dress as well, probably down to my knees + a matching petticoat, knee length socks, and long puffy sleeves to help keep me warm!

When I was little I dreamed of being so rich I could afford two houses, one in the Southern Hemisphere and the other in the Northern Hemisphere, and every spring I would fly from one to the other, so I would never have to experience summer again. My views on this dream have become more realistic since, but if somehow I came across enough money to make it happen indefinitely, you can bet I'd start setting it up in a heartbeat.

Uhm, what do you mean unpopular? Pretty sure fandom has seen all the outtakes of TK planning it all, hiring actors to pretend shoot him just in case Carlos gets called to the scene. For Push he went all out and changed the weather and then even convinced two trained professionals he was dying. That makes the day he sabotaged the plane to make it look like it was crashing a bit less overdramatic if you think about it. A whole winter storm. That boy is DEDICATED.

This winter (the season not the me) has been unseasonably and terrifyingly warm, like it's 10 degrees (Celsius sorry Americans) out today and I'm reminded of an article I read in the news a couple years ago about how Canada was baking at twice the rate as the rest of the world and go 👁️👄👁️. In my youth snow where I live would be probably a foot high in the lowest snow areas of snow drifts and up to my waist (in adult height) in the high parts, and every year I see less and less snow ☠️☠️☠️

On one hand despite my namesake I actually loathe the season winter, I'm extremely sensitive to the cold and getting brain freeze because the wind is blowing against the direction you're walking in sucks booty hole. But like NO snow is extremely bad. VERY bad. Do not like living out the consequences of climate change because uh. Canada just does not seem to have winters like it used to and hasn't in years. It's like watching all the corn crops stop growing like they used to because the summers are so much dryer and hotter with the exception of last summer, which was almost wet enough to kill the corn with that. But they survived and grew bushy like they used to and it was kind of terrifying to acknowledge I hadn't seen a crop that good in years.
