He is genuinely a nice guy and Friendly and unassuming, he was often underestimated- but beneath the gentlemanly charm there was a genius alchemist at work. Understanding what made people tick was always instinctive to him. With his respectful and empathetic manner - as well as his love of a good yarn - he managed to disarm everyone he met and he can literally befriend anyone and he is a highly skilled and experienced alchemist and he is a inhuman strength alchemist. Winry is his girlfriend…

🥛 You had been pulled away from them after your mother had died, you were the sole provider for them and given your unnatural strength and unrivalled work ethic there were many people that were willing to give you a job but most of it took you a long way from home and had you sending money back. 🥛 When you got back after hearing that your brothers had gotten into some trouble, you surprised them, you didn;t ask them why they did it, you didn’t tell them that they were wrong and you definitely didn’t tell them it was what they deserved instead you hugged them both and apologised for being gone so long. 🥛 From there you stayed with your brother’s doing the best that you could to help them get their bodies back, you didn’t have any alchemy abilities but that didn’t matter when your punch could split a rock or you could break a leg and keep running. 🥛 You and Ed were close you always had been, you were the only person that was able to lean and elbow on his head mostly because no matter how much he tried he (even with an automail arm) could not hurt you. 🥛 He was very aware of the fact that you didn’t know how to keep a secret so he never told you any, when he made plans during a fight or even when he had done something a little dangerous, you were none the wiser. 🥛 Ed never once criticised your strength and often scolded others for doing so, you were the one that showed him the strength in kindness, he was sure that was where Alphonse got it from. 🥛 He never understood how you kept going like nothing had happened despite everything that your family had been through even before the alchemy adventure. You were the one who had known your mother the longest and yet were the one who dealt the best with her passing. 🥛 You were the secret weapon, everyone underestimated you, Roy Mustang included. You were the Ace when they needed to turn a fight around. 🥛 You were kind to everyone and it bothered him because he had met enough people to know that they didn’t all deserve your kindness. 🥛 You only ever wanted to help and sometimes led to disaster and Ed was always reminding himself that you were just trying to be helpful. 🥛 Ed argued with you a lot, I say it that way because you never once realised that you were having an argument, you just laughed at you little brother yelling and waving his arms around. 🥛 Literally hike Ed up under your arm when he got carried away with something, taking him somewhere he could cool off before causing any trouble all while apologising and waving haphazardly.

Alphonse Elric

📖 Alphonse definitely learned alot from you, starting with your kindness and ending with your ability to control your uncanny super strength. 📖 When he first got his body he realised that he was much stronger than he was in his human body, you helped him to learn how to restrain that strength and how to use it when he needed it. 📖 You also benefited from the new body considering you had always had to be careful with your little brothers, now with his new body you were able to fight properly for once. 📖 Alphonse doesn’t ever raise his voice at you the way that he does with Edward. There are two reasons for this: the first is that you are significantly older than the both of them so it’s partly respect, the other reason was because if you didn’t understand it yelling at you was going to make no difference. 📖 Despite the strength that you had, you never walked into a place expecting or pushing for a fight, you often tried getting people to give you what you wanted rather than taking it and Alphonse obviously liked that approach. 📖 When you were together you were both the sweetest pair, you’d help anyone that needed it and protect anyone that needed it. You were dangerously protective of you little brothers but Alphonse more so when he was younger you used to promise to fight any monster that hid under his bed and even now he hides behind you when he’s scared. 📖 Once they get their human bodies back you're the strongest of the three of you and this time you aren’t far from home, you're always around when they need you. 📖 Just an aside, Mei loves you. 📖 You often lifted him over your shoulder (when he got his human body back) when you wanted him to do something for or with you. Alphonse enjoyed talking to you, you had a very simple view on things and sometimes that was all that he needed.

Winry Rockbell

🔧 Winry was like a little sister to you, you remember the times when the boys got to big for her to overpower and you used to run around with her on your shoulders chasing after them. 🔧 You encouraged her to do whatever she wanted when she was younger; it probably helped with her confidence to this day. 🔧 You saw the way that Ed and Winry acted together and when they got older you were the one to point out how cute they would be together even if they constantly denied it. 🔧 Winry always called to make sure that you were okay when you were away for work, she was also the one that told you what happened with your brothers. 🔧 You brought back anything that you thought Winry might find useful for automail construction. 🔧 You were the least troublesome of the Elric brothers and she loved that about you, as she got older and started chasing after your younger brothers to make sure that they didn’t get in too much trouble. 🔧 Winry used to fall asleep on you all the time and that didn’t change, you didn’t mind keeping her company when she was tinkering, helping her lift things and sometimes she ended up falling asleep on you when she was working too hard. 🔧 You always protected Winry whether it be physical or emotional, that was the only time that you were seen showing true anger outside of anything happening with your brothers. 🔧 When you did lose your temper Winry was the one that could calm you down the quickest (Ed tended to fight it out with you, Al talked you down most of the time though it did take some time) 🔧 Winry helped with the gardening when she had the time, especially when everything settled down. 🔧 Literally nothing changed when she and Edward got together, she was already family to you, your little sister.

Next up is probably one of my favourite anime characters of all time.

Alphonse Elric!!

I think Al definitely knows that he likes different genders but hasn’t got to a point where he really knows what his sexuality label is. He’s young and still figuring things out and he also still has a lot going on with being a soul in a suit of armour.

He didn’t really get too many crushes back when his mum was still alive and before he lost his body because he was young and didn’t really like romance. He wanted to focus on alchemy and hanging with his brother and Winry.

His attraction towards people is based more on their personality and how they treat others. He doesn’t look much into how someone looks and will care for them either way. This is something that became even more apparent to him after he lost his body and so many people perceived him as a big guy in a suit of armour instead of the young kid he is.

He doesn’t really feel comfortable being out to anyone at the moment except Ed. He came out to Ed because he knew how much his brother loved him and knew that he’d support him. He hasn’t told anyone else yet because he wants to be able to trust them.

Ed is even more overprotective of him after finding out. This guy gets angry so easily just because someone called him short so imagine how he’d react to someone being homophobic towards his little brother.

The next people he is considering coming out to are Winry, Roy and Riza. He trusts them a lot but wanted to build up his courage a little before finally coming out to them. It’s his journey and he wants to go at his own pace.

Hughes definitely would’ve been so supportive of Al so I think Al would’ve felt safe telling him.

Al is very loving towards people so he finds that he develops crushes easily. I think he had a crush on Ling and found him a little cool.

Apart from obviously sleeping, eating and being able to properly hug his friends and family, one thing that Al is looking forward to when he gets his body back is exploring his sexuality and coming to terms with everything. He was so young when everything changed so he wants to be able to experience new things that he couldn’t while he didn’t have a body

You write for FMAB, Right? Do you think if you could squeeze it in somewhere, write something about Al helping Ed with autmail pain? Preferably near the start or before canon, while als still in his armour. Assuming they live in like army barracks as well.

Edward had always been a bit too ambitious and a bit too trusting of what his automail could handle. It was the bane of Winry's existence knowing that whenever Ed and Al came to visit, there was almost always something she needed to fix. 

"Seriously Ed, you're putting yourself through a whole lot of unnecessary pain when you're being reckless! You need to be more careful!" She scolds him.

"It's no big deal, honestly! I trust you to be able to fix it and I've done this plenty of times before, it doesn't hurt that much anymore," he says, waving off her lecture.

She clicks her tongue and finishes connecting Ed's automail to his nervous system, which causes him to let out a screech of pain.

"Sure. It doesn't hurt," she scoffs. 

He flushes in embarrassment, but doubles down.

"Well of course the first connection to my nervous system hurts! But after that it's fine!"

She rolls her eyes and waves him out of the room.

"Whatever! Just try to take care of yourself. I don't want to keep fixing you whenever you visit."

He stumbles his way out of the room, trying to readjust to his automail and trying to hide the obvious nerve pain from Winry.

She sighs and catches sight of Al waiting for his brother.

"Hey Al! Can I talk with you for a second?" She asks.

His looming figure nods and he clunks his way over to her.

"What did you need, Winry?" He asks, his voice young and unfitting for the armor he's attached to.

"Ed is being stubborn again and his automail is going to be sensitive for awhile until his body readjusts. Will you make sure he takes it easy?"

Al nods.

"Of course! I've gotta look after him somehow!" He says before running off after his brother.

Ed groans as he collapses into bed and Al makes his way into the room as quietly as possible.

"How's it going?" He asks.

"Terrible. I don't want to admit it to Winry, but it hurts like hell right now. Like the area where my arm and leg end and the automail begins is on fire."

Al sits down next to his brother and holds a metal hand up, revealing a bottle of painkillers and a heating pad.

"I know it won't make it all better, but I figured these might help!" 

Ed flashes an exhausted smile at his brother and grabs the pill bottle with his non-automail hand, then points to his leg.

"Will you put that on my leg? That's where the worst of it is right now," Ed says.

Al helps get his brother situated and comfortable before settling on the floor next to him.

"Talk to me about something while these meds kick in okay?" Ed requests.

Al jumps, unsure of what to say.

"Uhhhhh… is there anything you want to talk about?"

"Well, how about when you get your body back? What's the first thing you want to do?"

"Oh gosh, there's so much that I will be able to do, I don't know if I'll be able to come up with one specific thing! Maybe eat? I don't even know what, but I just miss being able to enjoy a good meal," 

"Yeah? Well, when we get you back to your normal self I'll take you wherever you wanna go to eat. If there's a specific chef who's food ya wanna eat, I'll make damn sure they're there to cook for ya!" Ed says.

The two sit for awhile, discussing what they'll do whenever they get their situation figured out.

"You know… I know you're in a lot of pain right now, and maybe this sounds weird, but in a way I kind of miss pain. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to get myself injured when I'm back! I just miss being able to have the full human experience, yknow?" Al explains.

Ed turns to face his brother.

"Yeah, I can understand what you mean. Don't worry, we're going to get you back to normal soon. I'm sure of it!" He says, holding out his fist.

Al gently bumps his own metal fist to his brothers and Ed rolls onto his back.

"Thanks for distracting me. I'm not feeling quite as bad anymore." 

"Oh good! Just let me know if you need anything, okay? It's the least I can do right now."

Ed nods and starts drifting to sleep. Al lays down on the ground, staring quietly at the ceiling and finding quiet ways to entertain himself until his brother wakes up again.

At the end of "Fullmetal Alchemist", Ed Elric quits the military, has given up his ability to "play god", and is (as he has been since he burned his fucking house down as a tweenager) homeless, disabled, and crashing at the Rockbell place to help his very sick brother recover.

And it's easy and funny to imagine Edward Elric essentially becoming the house husband of successful and innovative automail mechanic Winry Rockbell (and later a stay-at-home dad). Small family businesses are pretty much always a mess of needing an extra hand just to answer phones and the mail, to schedule appointments, to deliver and pick up parts, to organize stock, to "just hold this for a second for me", and so on. Pinako is not getting any younger and could use someone to cook dinner and fix the roof while she rests her back!!! Winry is busy!!!

There is also always a lot to do in a rural community, so I'm sure that Ed would find another hobby in the absence of alchemy and could turn it into a gig if necessary, if he really doesn't like automail. He has a lot of skills that he could potentially turn towards an income. I've also generally assumed that Ed made a pretty decent amount of money as a State Alchemist and still has some generous savings on that front.

But I was also thinking that it would be kind of funny if being a State Alchemist came with incredible retirement benefits. Like, the military wants to lure people in with wealth and power and resources - and then make alchemists desperate enough to keep these things that they become walking weapons of war, commit horrible crimes against humanity in the name of "research", and/or resort to human transmutation and become viable sacrifices. Ed never had to worry about getting kicked out (and presumably losing his benefits) because he was a perfect human sacrifice from the get-go (although he didn't know this). I'm guessing a lot of State Alchemists were never actually able to retire between dying in wars, failing out of the program (the brass finding excuses to save money! Bosses are always cheap!), getting arrested for speaking out or actually getting caught publicly doing bad shit, and being murdered for their crimes against humanity.

But, in theory, maybe the State Alchemist retirement benefits were absolutely incredible if you could somehow survive long enough or get permission for an early, "honorable" retirement, because King Bradley (who let's say set up this financial bait) somewhat reasonably assumed that Father would completely destroy the country before he'd ever have to pay out a pension. Which means that Ed could be out of the military for years and somehow still costing Roy Mustang a lot of money.

Holy ehit I just had a fucked up FMA/B AU idea

What if like, instead of armor Al's soul inhabits a different object?

What if it was one of Ed or Al's toys? They're young kids, so I suspect they'd have toys (You can't tell me Ed and Al didn't have stuffed animals that they'd use for comfort after their mother died).

Now I'm just imagining an AU where Al's soul is in smth like a plush that either him or Ed owned, a gift from their mom before she died, and Ed just attaching Alphonse's soul to it.

I feel like they'd have to keep it a secret, maybe pinako and winry would know but no one else. Not Roy nor Riza nor anyone. To everyone except Ed and the remaining rockbells, Al is dead and didn't survive the human transmutation; But Ed *insists* on carrying around this plushed animal that he constantly talks to, and Roy swears he heard it speak or saw it move.

Idk this was just a thought but now I wanna draw up smth for it; Has anyone else thought of this? Like, alternatives to the armor I mean in the terms of other items the boys would have. I need to check again but I'm pretty sure I saw two toys in the first episode in the room Ed and Al preformed the human transmutation, so I mean it could've happened. From what I remember there was a doll and a bear, but I could be wrong.

A List of My Headcanons for Edward Elric: Full Throttle Edition!

What I mean by the subtitle, is what I think happened in the parts of the story, between, that weren't shown. Like what happened during their travels and locations they went too or things they did that are NOT in canon

Share your thoughts if you share any Headcanons with me or have any ideas to expand upon these, because I feel these are topics and ideas that are so interesting to ponder!

Onto the List!

(I'm adding a break cause this post is VERY wordy~)

The precursor to the rest to "set the scene":

HC 1 - Ed does NOT have a sexist or elitist bone in his little body!

This is something EVERYONE knows about him. Given the plethora of female role models in his entire life, he grows to respect and/or fear women. He treats everyone equally and bases his opinion on them based on their actions.

As well as despite having a fat pocket full of cash because of his status, it never goes to his head. He happily gives his money to those that help him. He sometimes uses his status to get what he wants, but not always for selfish reasons. It's usually to help his cause or someone else.

HC 2 - Edward wore Winry's clothes when he was hiding out in Resembool waiting for her and Al.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but these boys burned EVERYTHING they owned. Maybe except for what Ed carries with him in his trunk, whereever that thing may be on the regular basis no one knows. But! I'd like to believe that after the incident and the time skip, Ed most likely didn't have ANY of his original belongings, right? I mean yeah, he could go to fabric stores and transmute himself some stuff while passing towns. At the same time, he probably couldnt just walk into a store or town very often for fear of being recognized because of being a fugitive at the time. He could always have his big strong body guards go get him clothes, but they don't understand his style, so he wouldn't ask, right? Besides, what's the fun in that?

I believe, that while he was waiting in Resembool and Pinako told him to go take a shower, because imagine how dirty and stinky they'd be traveling in the forest and by night for days?? I feel she would've given him Winry's clothes, to change into.

And you can very well argue 'His clothes look like they're made for men. They aren't women's clothes. They aren't the same size and Eds grown, they wouldn't fit!' Ah! But what if, he just transmutes them to better fit his shoulder width and leg length?

That's what's fun about this thought, he could very well still have clothes at the Rockbells and just transmutes them bigger when they don't fit by combining fabrics. But if he did in fact burn everything he owned in the fire, he'd have to use something for material for clothes when he's under the radar.

But if he didn't wear Winry's clothes, what do you think he grabbed to transmute himself some clothes while down in Resembool? If he doesn't transmute himself clothes in hiding, then what if he uses Pinako's sons old clothes or old clothes from hohenheim? Pinako's bound to have clothes laying around her house from all the boys running around.

HC 3 - Ed PREFERS his hair up (braided or tied) over down.

Okay, so hear me out....if you put aside the fact that he obviously wears it tied back for convenience purposes because of being very mobile and active. BUT! At the same time when you think about when Ed comes back after the time skip and he reads the note of the description they're looking for: Red coat, blonde w/braid, and short. And he says: "Guess I'm stuck with this look for now..." It makes me think:

Obviously, he cares about his looks, right? Not in a selfish way, but he cares about his appearance and he feels confident in his old red and black attire with his signature braid. But he can't have that right now because he'd be easy to spot.

So, Ed's OKAY with his hair being down, but only if he's not doing anything. As soon as they get caught and he's carried to the car, he puts his hair up. It would just get in the way.

But like I said, I believe, he just prefers it being up, especially when he's doing something. In this instance, since he cant braid it, he just puts it in a ponytail.

Which this preference for his braid makes sense later when he's fighting Pride, cause it's in a braid again. So he obviously feels he looks better with the braid.

But when he changes it to a ponytail when he's older is probably just for mature reasons so he looks older. Plus he's letting it grow, so it's harder for him to braid when it's much longer than his shoulders, so I feel he's just like 'Fuck it, ponytail it is!'

Before this post gets too long, I'll stop here and maybe make continuations as I think of them. Feel free to expand upon these ideas or tell me your ideas! I love delving deeper into character personalities and properties they have.

Did a redraw months ago during a stream where I spun the wheel to see what year I will land on to redraw one of my old art pieces. 2016 landed and so I redraw one of my FMA works [even though recently I checked I guess this was from 2014 but DA wont show me the image.. which im mad about.] Either way I wanted to redraw this piece since its been a LONG time.

I will still find it funny someone got so stupid mad at me, being a lil white knight trying to 'protect their senpai's' by angerly going at me for making Alchemy High when its been around much longer. [and I have old fanart to prove that from other older fma members and artists].

I am bringing this back in a way to make the story , however its gonna be much different. I would go for uniforms BUT I decided, lets just do regular like - highschool and collage shit where they can wear whatever the hell they want?

Even though the story is mostly going to be focusing for the collage story but have flashbacks with the highschool and other variety stuff since I do want to focus on the whole group being Adults in collage. they knew eachother for a long time now [mostly Ed, Al, Winry and Emmy and probably Thanos?] and they still have their hobbies and other stuff they enjoy. Edward still heavy on the heavy metal rock punk, same somewhat for Winry.

Emmy enjoys it too but dresses in pastel. So she somewhat a pastel punk maybe? Alphonse I feel he- would dress somewhat like a hipster maybe. I just imagine him wearing a vest often like their dad. Thanos very much into rock and punk. Emmet Im not sure what he'd be into as of yet.

I do wanna do more sketches of them thats for sure so more are coming on in. :P

Also for Thanos [top left] I decided to go with him being Half Ishvallen and Half Xingese like I have mentioned in the past which I feel be a interesting change for him. Still need to work on his toyhouse profile though.

8. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise? (Winry Rockbell)

Hmm...I can't really think of anything too heinous the fandom does, except maybe forget about her? ^^' Especially when shipping Ed with somebody else. Shippers are gonna ship, but I often feel like there's a gaping hole left behind when they don't account for where Winry is and why she's not upset about Ed going after someone else.

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character? (Roy Mustang)

We're told that he was raised by Madame Christmas, but I like to headcanon that she also adopted all the women who work in her bar and become Roy's intelligence network when they go on their fake dates. So Roy grew up in a highly unconventional setting with a dozen adopted older sisters, all orphaned or abandoned. He goes from a female-dominated living situation to a male-dominated one when he joins the military XD

18. How about a relationship they have in canon with another character that you admire? (Riza Hawkeye)

Royai. Are both Mustang and Hawkeye a bundle of issues? Is Hawkeye in particular perhaps unhealthily dependent on Mustang, to the point that if he were to die, she would kill herself? Yes. But their complete and utter devotion to one another, and the way they show love to each other in a thousand ways without being able to even hint at the way they really feel, is something I've always admired.

25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now? (Edward Elric)

Looooool, my introduction to Edward Elric was a fanart depicting him as an angel holding a claymore XD When my brother showed it to me, I was like, "Okay, we have to watch this Full Metal Alchemist thing now!"

Naturally, we soon discovered that particular fanart was more...imaginative than we realized at first. But by then we were hooked anyway. Now, obviously, I don't think of Ed as an avenging angel :P He's still inspiring and heroic, but now I also know him as a total dork with a bundle of issues, but also the biggest heart for his little brother you could possibly imagine <3

Winry Rockbell and Automail apprentice Reader Headcanons

Warnings SPOILERS FROM FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST BROTHERHOOD!! Some Angst from both Winry's and Reader's past, Reader has issues. Automails may be a sensible topic? Maybe. Fluff.

okay! I think I have a more or less solid idea of how the reader ended up being Winry's companion. which was thanks to Garfiel.

although it wasn't always like that. You see, reader (similar to Winry at the beginning) was super focused on trying to convince Dominique to be their teacher in the field of automails.

and when I say that reader was focused, I mean almost OBSESSED.

reader worked very hard to try to get his attention, thinking that maybe they would be rejected because they had a very amateur level, so they improved as much as they could on their own.

However, this obviously did not convince Dominique, not because the reader did a bad job, he simply was not interested in teaching anyone.

However, this definitely hit the reader VERY HARD, perhaps too hard.

I imagine that the reader probably does not come from a good family environment, which is why in part they was looking for some approval in this possible relationship.

Although, at least, Dominique recognized their talent as a reader and introduced them to Garfiel, with whom they began to work by pure reflex.

Let's say that the reader, unlike Winry, saw this as a defeat. and reader was quite bitter during the first months of work.

I don't think Reader was mean to Garfiel, but they definitely wasn't very receptive to attempts to improve the relationship with their new instructor.

By the time the story takes place, Reader has been working in the automail business with Garfiel for a while.

and when Winry arrived, they really wasn't interested. They simply dissociated while working.

However, Winry was not like that with them.

Since they were introduced, Winry was determined to have a good work environment with Reader, even if it was clear that they were clearly bitter about life.

Winry saw the reader as a more experienced partner, and genuinely admired the custom work they did! and the creative ways in which they worked.

What Winry didn't understand was why someone would seem so...angry doing something they supposedly loved.

This probably generated several frictions between the two at first, precisely because of the different ways of working and how they handled frustration.

At first, Winry saw Reader as someone who was brilliant but immature, volatile, sometimes even stupid.

She just didn't understand, she didn't understand them.

probably at the beginning it is Garfiel himself or reader clients who tell Winry about the situation with Dominque. and how this left the reader super emotionally constipated.

(I think it would give more weight to Dominique's rejection if the reader also has one of his automails. Something similar to Papyina, in a way)

Although Winry knows well what it feels like to be rejected for reasons you don't understand or know, and you have every right to be angry, but she doesn't think that should stain the love you have for something.

especially an art that helps people, to which you have put heart and soul.

Winry (being the QUEEN✨👑 that she is) would end up speaking directly to the reader about it. giving it a well-deserved reality check.

-"You're talented enough to do incredible things with automail! But you're bitter about not being someone's apprentice!? If you really wanted to learn, YOU WOULD LEARN FROM WHOEVER, WHATEVER!"

READER DEFINITELY WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT.

but at the same time, something clicked in their head.

The reader really wanted Dominique to be their teacher, yes, but was it really because of the automail at that point? Or was it simply because they had the approval of someone they considered superior to them? A role model?

Winry definitely leaves a reader unusable for at least that day, they needed to think things over.

Winry was worried that she had gone too far with the reader until they went straight to apologizing to her for their initial attitude, and their Bad habits...and their quirks...and fights...

in general, showing a much more shy and calm face than normal. Winry being super used to the shitty attitude, it almost scares her.

However, she was more than willing to accept the reader's apology, and above all, improve together as Garfiel's Automail trainees.

and from there, their relationship improved considerably.

The reader genuinely took what Winry said seriously and made notes about her attitude, especially towards Garfiel. So they tried to improve their relationship with him.

which worked! Although I doubt Garfiel was upset with them in the first place (knowing where they come from) he still really appreciate that they apologized and ALSO started talking to him better, treating him better.

Winry was happy about this too! and she definitely began to notice that the reader was calmer, lighter (not just because of the lack of weight hahaha).

Probably in the breaks that both Winry and reader have they talk a little, not really about their lives at the beginning, but about possible ideas for Automails that are easier to load, better materials, etc.

Although eventually when they were talking about it, Winry deviated and started talking about the Elric brothers, which generated a whole new topic of conversation between the two.

Winry doesn't really talk much about her parents, and the reader understands and offers condolences, which Winry appreciates.

And most importantly, readers try to be more open themselves.

Remember that the reader has an obsessive need with approval? Well, that probably comes from their own family.

reader is not what their parents would consider a "model child" despite being intelligent and creative, it was common in their circle.

take something unique and interesting and CRUSH IT..

reader was just lucky to be more stubborn than most of their relatives, which didn't make them very popular in their family.

That's why they constantly went after Dominque, since he was like them. or so the reader thought, a reject, a hermit, someone who didn't fit in.

and honestly? Winry feels really bad for the reader.

Winry was lucky to have an environment that supported her and admired her abilities, reader didn't even have someone who saw their interest as something positive.

It was definitely something very vulnerable. and Winry treasured that. That reader was honest.

I think that (in the most platonic sense of the word) Reader and Winry would make a great ✨POWER COUPLE✨

Winry is the one who comes up with the structured ideas, and the reader finds a way to give them an intense spin and/or use those bases to do something completely different.

They balance each other.

Reader is definitely still the serious one of the two, but he is surprisingly shy and soft as time goes on, which contrasts quite a bit with Winry, in a good way.

GOD, IMAGINE THESE TWO IN DRACHMA, reader would be foaming at the mouth to see Boccaner's automails.

and they definitely come back with MANY INTERESTING IDEAS :)

Taking into account the reader's bad relationship with her family, I imagine Winry inviting them to meet her grandmother and it is quite an experience, the reader practically left the Rockbell house crying (happy), to Winry's fright.

They are simply not used to so many compliments. Specially from Someone who is MEANT to be FAMILY.

SPEAKING OF, Winry would definitely want to have ONE WORD with the reader's family and the way they treat them...

let my girl be feral.

Winry is definitely the kind of friend who makes sure the reader takes breaks, eats well, and above all, DOESN'T GET HURT BY AUTOMAILS.

If necessary she will knock them out with a tool to make them sleep.

IMAGINE WINRY TAKING CARE OF A READER WHEN THEY ARE SICK😭

reader would definitely have a hard time keeping up with Rossvile when Winry goes to the Elrics, not only because of the new workload, but because they had just gotten used to working with someone...

When all the chaos of the transmutation circle, Scar, etc. occurs. reader would be SUPER anxious and worried, not only for themselves, but for Winry.

A BIG bear hug awaits when Winry returns to the Ross Vile.

Needless to say, if Winry does her Automail business, READER WILL GO AND GIVE HER A HAND, no question asked.

and definitely, in the epilogue, they'll would be the equivalent of a fun and somewhat strange uncle, who brings MANY GIFTS to the children Winry has with Ed.

(reader strongly ships Winry with Ed, and probably gave her some winks of Edward's interest in her for "being a boy thing." I DON'T DO THE RULES!)

In short, an ICONIC duo.

Post Xing Travels Alphonse who still travels occasionally but always comes back home where he still lives with the Rockbell-Elrics because He cant imagine being away from Ed, Winry or his nieces and nephews permanently.

Uncle Alphonse who gets told hes the favorite Uncle (his only competition being their Uncle Roy). Who helps tutor Ed and Winrys Kids and Shows them alchemy and teaches them the basics. The table being so full with Ed and Winry cooking to feed their small army of kids and Alphonse bringing hom recipes from his travels much to the joy of most of the kids.

Alphonse who always comes home to a large family the loves him and makes it seem like the years he spent in the armor dont exist because he can feel as his nieces and nephews climb him like a tree when he spent just one extra day traveling. As Winry pulls him into a hug saying welcome back. As Ed wraps his arm around their shoulder.

Just Alphonse living with Ed and Winrys Family instead of being on his own and basically becoming like a 3rd parent to them because they stay that close.
