Request: Could I request Ling Yao x clingy reader? Not super clingy, but the kind of S/O whi just feels safer near their partner, or enjoys holding hands as often as possible as it calms them down?

A/N: Couldn't do this one without adding Greedling for a small section, sectioned it off so that you can skip it if you want but I figured it was something that you would need to address as well.

👑 Ling would love a clingy S/O or someone who relies on him to feel safe, he relies on you to reassure him that he’s doing the right thing, so you both need each other's case closed. 👑 He was the one to ask you to travel across the desert with, it’s not like you don’t know how to look after yourself so you agreed since you never felt more at ease than when you were with him. 👑 He makes sure that he’s holding your hand when he can or standing close enough that you could feel him there. 👑 He’s excited about everything, he pointed things out to you as he dragged you from place to place, he never forgot about you, you were literally attached at the hip. 👑 Ling is careful with you around other people, like the first time that you met Ed and Alphonse and he made sure that you were practically sitting on his lap so that he could keep you safe. 👑 Times when you get overwhelmed he’ll let you play with his fingers, hold his hand or lean against him until you feel better.

Greedling

👑 The one time that you and Ling were separated he made a decision that affected you both and Greed took control of the body that was supposed to keep you safe, it wasn’t the same as it had been. 👑 Ling basically conned Greed into finding you, he needed to make sure that you were okay while he trusted Lan Fan and Fu to keep you safe, he was sure that you still needed him. 👑 He wasn’t wrong in his absence you had become more jumpy and less trusting, you only really spoke to Lan Fan and never really left whatever safe house they had managed to find. 👑 Greed came straight through the window, no regard for scaring you. 👑 You would have taken his head off had he not been wearing Ling’s face, he tried at first to pass himself off as the man you had been waiting for but you saw right through him, that was when he explained what happened and even gave you a few minutes with Ling. 👑 From there you set up a small deal that allowed you to still see Ling nights to cuddle up and talk or moments of hand holding or quick whisper in your ears. 👑 You ended up getting to know Greed in the time that he spent in Ling’s body and realised that they were very similar, Greed quickly became a stand in for Ling and while they both reacted differently to your affection, they both loved it for different reasons. 👑 Greed was just as protective of you and kept you just as close though he would tell you it was because the prince wouldn’t shut up if he didn’t. 👑 Basically the same relationship but way more teasing.

Back to Ling

👑 Once Ling has his body back he doesn’t let you go for a very long time, he missed being able to touch you and worried that he’d never get to do it of his own free will again. 👑 Apologies for putting you through that and promises that he’ll never do it again. 👑 Kisses you for the first time when you are back in Xing and he is announced as the new emperor. 👑 Never lets you go again, allows you to do whatever you wanted, playing with his hair, fingers or sitting on his lap as you had hushed conversations. 👑 Will dedicate times of the day to you and make sure that no one interrupts you. 👑 Will drop everything if you needed something, if you needed support he was there, hand connected to yours as he encouraged you forward. 👑 No matter what he loves you and supports you no matter what you need, after all I fully believe this man loves giving to whoever he chooses as his. Gifts, time, physical affection it’s all yours for as long as you will have him.

Runaway - Oneshot

A/N Hiya Tails here, this ones another old fic i brought up thats meant to be a short story. :)

Running through the train station, Traveler panted, having run from a fuming blonde for a couple miles. Taking in her surroundings, Traveler saw a train departing for central. Looking over her shoulder to see her fiance behind her, she ran into the train car, and watched as Ed was left behind. Finally relaxing and sitting down, Traveler looked down to see the state alchemist watch resting in her hand. An identical one was strapped to her belt, the chain slack from her sitting position.

    Suddenly feeling a shiver go up her spine, Traveler fearfully turned to see the blonde staring at her from the other side of the traincar. Casually standing and maneuvering around the numerous people in her area, Traveler started speedwalking into the next train car, Ed not far behind. Traveler continued walking until she was met with an empty train car. Sweatdropping, she turned to see Edward smile horrifyingly, before sprinting at her. 

    Being in the last car, Traveler froze, having nowhere to run. That was until the train jolted before stopping, causing both her and her fiance to fall to the floor. Seeing a chance, Traveler bolted out the train, bumping into people as she tried to evade Edward´s attacks. 

    The chase continued all throughout Central, Traveler skillfully evading Edward´s attacks and grabs, as she ran towards Central Command. The large building loomed over her as she used alchemy to push herself over the high walls, surprising a multitude of people before they realized it was just her. 

    While this was happening, Roy Mustang watched through the large window of his office. Sighing and dragging a hand along his face, he bent down to remove the boxes from underneath his desk, placing them on the floor nearby. Risa saw his actions and smiled, knowing who would burst through the doors in a couple seconds. 

The entire office turned towards the door, waiting expectantly for the female to burst through. However, Risa noticed a figure knocking at the window. Chuckling and opening said window, the older women stepped out of the way as Traveler came tumbling through. Havoc and Mustang turned to see the female disappear under the large desk. 

Just as Traveler had disappeared under the table, Edward slammed open the door, watching everyone that was present closely. Edward walked up to Mustang, glaring down at the man as he sniffed the air. Eyes widening at the familiar rose scent, Ed smiled before walking around the desk.

Traveler felt her breath hitch when she saw the signature black boots of her fiance step around the desk. Silently clapping her hands and moving the wind pressure around her to lighten her weight, Traveler sprinted towards the direction of the window, feeling Edward´s hand grab hers. 

Now standing in front of the window, Traveler had a stare down with the smiling blonde, their hands still interlocked. It wasn´t until Traveler looked between the open window, and her fiance, did Ed feel a sense of dread. Before he could react, he was being pulled out of the window and plummeting towards the ground.

Traveler, ofcourse, used her alchemy to soften the fall, creating a gust of wind around them to set them both upright. Then, she continued running back towards the train station, hoping to make it back to Resembool before Winry could notice she had left. 

This left Edward staring after her, still shocked from the sudden fall. He faintly heard Mustang´s laugh through the window, before running after the female. 

Eventually, the two made it back to Resembool, tired of the giant goose chase. Setting down the pocket watch, Traveler walked to Winry's work workroom, sitting down in the chair she was originally in. Winry was talking about the newest automail designs inspired by her own unique automail, when she turned around to see a disheveled Traveler. 

Lifting an eyebrow, Winry looked towards the door to see Ed in a similar state. 

    ¨Jeez, it looked like you two ran to Central and back.¨

Rolling her eyes, Traveler looked towards Ed with a wink. Seeing his jaw tense, Traveler turned back to Winry looking over her shoulder to help with the blue printing.

    Edward walked out of the room to see the small watch sitting on the dining room table, innocently sparkling as if it hadn't been snatched and dragged throughout Central.

I told you about updating Sparkling Eyes and Cigarette Burns (Dad!Sam, Found Family, Season 5) in my last weekly post, and I’ve already started working on the next chapter, where we get to see the forces Team Free Will has gathered go up against Lucifer and Michael! I actually spent every lunch break for the past week writing this chapter in my notebook… and I’ll be doing the same thing this coming week.

Through The Gate (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood x Criminal Minds) was updated this past Wednesday, and this coming Wednesday (06/19/2024) I’ll be posting Chapter 4! I got some writing done on this as well, but I’m honestly not sure how I’m splitting up the chapters, so I’m either still finishing up Chapter 7 or I’m writing Chapter 8 and just haven’t realized it yet.

Got a lot done with Cataclysm this weekend! Got the book approved and uploaded it to BookSirens, so starting July 1st, I will be able to distribute it to my ARC readers (let me know if you're interested)! I also created an account on Goodreads, and I posted another oneshot introducing some more characters from the book, which you can read on AO3, wattpad, or Substack. STILL haven’t heard anything about my TIN, and I’m kind of losing my mind.

Rehearsing Tragedies (Slave!Castiel) consumed my soul again, but it limited itself to Friday, so I added several pages and experienced quite a bit of pain, which I always enjoy. (I’m not being sarcastic.)

I got some other stuff done, too, but as usual, I am trying to keep things short. Thanks so much for reading!

Introductory Post

Uhhhh... Hello! Greetings! and Salutations! random person of Tumblr! You've stumbled either on this post, or you decided to check on my Blog in whichever case, Hi, make yourself at home.

I am Bartibit, or Barti - A random internet person who wanders around the interweb, trying to find the place that suits them. Shy in person, Introverted from hell and back, trying to find non-toxic side of the internet. I've only recently stumbled on here, quietly watching to see if this site is to my liking after... whatever the fuck is happening on Twitter / "Nobody will call it 'X' Musk". Yes, I'm a Twitter Refugee (woe me). And from so far I've observed, I really like it here, so this post is more for me, finally breaking ice.

I actually have a lot of interests, so follow me at your own discression, I will be unapologetically me, I will vent, I will post about my interests, I will make typos, I will share my accomplishments, I will post random sketch once in blue moon. I will randomly fixate on some series, I will post about my thoughts. Maybe you'll find something new, I don't know. I will be fucking random because my mind does not know how to segue naturally. I will probably have reflex on liking instead of reposting which I'm sorry about, I will fight the demons of not reposting.

I am a digital artist, mainly doing some silly doodles and seldom full pieces. I drawed comics in my addolecense instead of studding, making me also interested in storytelling. I dabbled in flash cs6 animation, video editing, writing reviews/video essays (i'm kinda bad at them) and making source maps for TF2 and CSGO.

I also play a lot video games, like I am obsessed with this medium; I love it, it's my entire personality because it carried me through a lot of hardships. I mainly play on PC, as I find it the most comfortable, most flexible and I already have most of my hobbies be tied to computers.

Request: Please may I have Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood platonic headcanons of Edward and Al Elric with a older brother age 16 who is exactly like Finny from the Black Butler series when he was in a dangerous fight mode and he wasn't exactly very friendly when he was dangerous and it was clear how it frightened the absolute hell out of anyone. He is genuinely a nice guy and Friendly and unassuming, he was often underestimated- but beneath the gentlemanly charm there was a genius alchemist at work. Understanding what made people tick was always instinctive to him. With his respectful and empathetic manner - as well as his love of a good yarn - he managed to disarm everyone he met and he can literally befriend anyone and he is a highly skilled and experienced alchemist and he is a inhuman strength alchemist. Winry is his girlfriend…

🥛 You had been pulled away from them after your mother had died, you were the sole provider for them and given your unnatural strength and unrivalled work ethic there were many people that were willing to give you a job but most of it took you a long way from home and had you sending money back. 🥛 When you got back after hearing that your brothers had gotten into some trouble, you surprised them, you didn;t ask them why they did it, you didn’t tell them that they were wrong and you definitely didn’t tell them it was what they deserved instead you hugged them both and apologised for being gone so long. 🥛 From there you stayed with your brother’s doing the best that you could to help them get their bodies back, you didn’t have any alchemy abilities but that didn’t matter when your punch could split a rock or you could break a leg and keep running. 🥛 You and Ed were close you always had been, you were the only person that was able to lean and elbow on his head mostly because no matter how much he tried he (even with an automail arm) could not hurt you. 🥛 He was very aware of the fact that you didn’t know how to keep a secret so he never told you any, when he made plans during a fight or even when he had done something a little dangerous, you were none the wiser. 🥛 Ed never once criticised your strength and often scolded others for doing so, you were the one that showed him the strength in kindness, he was sure that was where Alphonse got it from. 🥛 He never understood how you kept going like nothing had happened despite everything that your family had been through even before the alchemy adventure. You were the one who had known your mother the longest and yet were the one who dealt the best with her passing. 🥛 You were the secret weapon, everyone underestimated you, Roy Mustang included. You were the Ace when they needed to turn a fight around. 🥛 You were kind to everyone and it bothered him because he had met enough people to know that they didn’t all deserve your kindness. 🥛 You only ever wanted to help and sometimes led to disaster and Ed was always reminding himself that you were just trying to be helpful. 🥛 Ed argued with you a lot, I say it that way because you never once realised that you were having an argument, you just laughed at you little brother yelling and waving his arms around. 🥛 Literally hike Ed up under your arm when he got carried away with something, taking him somewhere he could cool off before causing any trouble all while apologising and waving haphazardly.

Alphonse Elric

📖 Alphonse definitely learned alot from you, starting with your kindness and ending with your ability to control your uncanny super strength. 📖 When he first got his body he realised that he was much stronger than he was in his human body, you helped him to learn how to restrain that strength and how to use it when he needed it. 📖 You also benefited from the new body considering you had always had to be careful with your little brothers, now with his new body you were able to fight properly for once. 📖 Alphonse doesn’t ever raise his voice at you the way that he does with Edward. There are two reasons for this: the first is that you are significantly older than the both of them so it’s partly respect, the other reason was because if you didn’t understand it yelling at you was going to make no difference. 📖 Despite the strength that you had, you never walked into a place expecting or pushing for a fight, you often tried getting people to give you what you wanted rather than taking it and Alphonse obviously liked that approach. 📖 When you were together you were both the sweetest pair, you’d help anyone that needed it and protect anyone that needed it. You were dangerously protective of you little brothers but Alphonse more so when he was younger you used to promise to fight any monster that hid under his bed and even now he hides behind you when he’s scared. 📖 Once they get their human bodies back you're the strongest of the three of you and this time you aren’t far from home, you're always around when they need you. 📖 Just an aside, Mei loves you. 📖 You often lifted him over your shoulder (when he got his human body back) when you wanted him to do something for or with you. Alphonse enjoyed talking to you, you had a very simple view on things and sometimes that was all that he needed.

Winry Rockbell

🔧 Winry was like a little sister to you, you remember the times when the boys got to big for her to overpower and you used to run around with her on your shoulders chasing after them. 🔧 You encouraged her to do whatever she wanted when she was younger; it probably helped with her confidence to this day. 🔧 You saw the way that Ed and Winry acted together and when they got older you were the one to point out how cute they would be together even if they constantly denied it. 🔧 Winry always called to make sure that you were okay when you were away for work, she was also the one that told you what happened with your brothers. 🔧 You brought back anything that you thought Winry might find useful for automail construction. 🔧 You were the least troublesome of the Elric brothers and she loved that about you, as she got older and started chasing after your younger brothers to make sure that they didn’t get in too much trouble. 🔧 Winry used to fall asleep on you all the time and that didn’t change, you didn’t mind keeping her company when she was tinkering, helping her lift things and sometimes she ended up falling asleep on you when she was working too hard. 🔧 You always protected Winry whether it be physical or emotional, that was the only time that you were seen showing true anger outside of anything happening with your brothers. 🔧 When you did lose your temper Winry was the one that could calm you down the quickest (Ed tended to fight it out with you, Al talked you down most of the time though it did take some time) 🔧 Winry helped with the gardening when she had the time, especially when everything settled down. 🔧 Literally nothing changed when she and Edward got together, she was already family to you, your little sister.

Whew!

Updated Through the Gate on 08/28, and I wrote another oneshot with my original demon character, Xal, that I think I’m going to call Turn the Car Around (like the O.A.R. song) and post on 09/11. I also finished Chapter 7 on Rehearsing Tragedies (Slave!Castiel) which is the story that will be regularly posted after Through the Gate is complete. In other words, I got a lot done, and I hit 1,000 kudos for 2024 on AO3, so it’s been a really great weekend!

Cataclysm is coming out in two weeks, I have an event with my sister on 09/13, and we’re doing a book signing event on 09/28, all of which is completely crazy and overwhelming and I really hope I don’t have a complete mental breakdown! Yaay!

Also, tomorrow is a holiday! I’m going to post another short story from the Cataclysm universe on both AO3 and wattpad, and if I get a significant amount of work done on any of my fanfictions, I will probably make a small post about that!

Roy was staring at the ceiling from his hospital bed. At this point, he had memorized every little detail from the uneven texture of the faded white paint but he was glad for the alone time. According to his calculations, it should be around eight o'clock, based on how much time had passed since Havoc left for his therapy session and him not being back yet. He could fetch his watch to check, but he wasn’t sure of what drawer of the small nightstand it was in and it felt too much of a bother to search.

There were more troublesome matters occupying his mind. Too much had happened the previous night and he was still digesting it. The homunculus, the possible involvement of the Central Command, Havoc’s injury, Riza’s defeated words… They should be considering themselves lucky for making it out alive, all of them, but how could he truly believe that when one of his men had ended up paralized from the hips down and he nearly lost the other one?

Summary: "Mom! I'm so sorry!" Edward cried in his sleep. Hot tears traveled down his cheeks as the cold nightly air blew in through the window. Or in which Edward has a nightmare and Ling is there to comfort him.

"Mom! Mom!" Edward called as he ran towards his mother who was hanging up clothes. "What is it, dear?" She spoke calmly as she turned to face her son. "Look what I made!" The golden haired boy cheered as he held up a wooden dog. "That's wonderful, dear. You're such a great alchemist at such a young age." Trisha complimented. Edward grinned through laughter. "It's a shame though." She said in her normal soft tone. Ed's laughter died down. "You weren't good enough to fix me." She spoke as her voice changed into a demonic tone. Edward looked back to her and she was now that thing they transmuted that day.

"Mom! I'm so sorry!" Edward cried in his sleep. Hot tears traveled down his cheeks as the cold nightly air blew in through the window. His entire body shook violently as he repeatedly apologized to his mother. Someone sat up next to him and snaked an arm around his waist. That someone being none other than Ed's lover, Ling. "Hey, hey Ed, it's alright. It's just a dream, you're okay." The Xingese prince cooed. Jet black hair was shining through the light of the window. Ling kept whispering words of reassurance to Edward until he sat up. His breathing was ragged and uneven.

"Ling." Edward breathed out. Ling smiled softly. "Nightmares again? Do you want to talk about it?" Ling offered. Edward was still shaking slightly, and this of course, didn't go unnoticed by Ling. "Hey, hey, it's alright, come here." The ravenette motionced to his side. Ed wasted no time scrambling to his lovers chest. "M'sorry. Did I wake you?" Edward apologized into Ling's chest. "No honey, I was awake already." Ling said softly as he ran his fingers through Edward's golden locks. That was a lie, Edward did wake up Ling, but Ling knew better than to say it or else Edward would apologize and be more upset with himself.

Edward would not stop shaking still. "Hey, if you need to talk about it you can, y'know. I'll stay up as long as I need to with you, alright?" Ling said as he pulled Ed closer to him. The shorter male hummed in acknowledgement. "It was with my mom, she said I wasn't a good enough alchemist for not bringing her back. I've had this one before." Ed mumbled. Ling running his fingers through Ed's hair always calmed him down. Ling whispered reassuring things once again to Edward, calming him completely. Soon enough, Ed was snorming again. Ling kissed Edward's forehead causing a smile to form on Ed's lips. "Sleep well, my dear." Ling whispered as he too dozed off.
