Mirror au TBOFS protags 👀 (designs or what they’d be like lol- basically what they’d be like if they either a: reacted to their situation the complete opposite of canon or b: had the complete opposite events happen to them)?

This was super interesting and fun to think abt… I have more ideas for other characters but just with these guys I’m trying to avoid spoilers 😭 anyways….

I think for it to work, I’d have to bump their ages up by like 20 years. So imagine they’re all in their 40s here. They’re also kinda scattered all over the story, just with how my AU lore is and where they’d make the most sense!

WHIMSY: He’d be a very high ranking member of The Animus Exchange (the company Legend works for). Can’t say too much yet…. But he would be bedazzled and very very popular. Lots of boyfriends and girlfriends probably

INSIGHT: An Animus Organization leader, which is a little extra interesting for a reason I cannot say. Made the most sense with how against the organization he is lmao. I think he’d be corrupt in some way… that’s different from how corrupt it already may be

SPONGY: A sad life for her. She’d probably be one of those animi that they met up with. Very obviously dissatisfied with her life. She wanted to paint forever but was pressured into using her magic all the time

SHEEP: Dream job! He’d be one of the more ‘important’ teachers in the story I think. He’s Like a combo of Northstar and Gelid. I think he could be the enchanted artifacts guardian guy!

Like I said I have more ideas.. I’d love to expand on the idea if anyone would like to hear sometime!

Imagining Emily just staring out of the window at the training ground of excorcists.

Sera: Emily, what are you doing?

Emily sighs, oblivious to the world's around her. Sera raises an eyebrow and goes to look out of the window.

There is Lute, dressed in training outfit, that consists of a training bra and shorts, fighting 5 of her colleagues. Sera finally notices a lost look on Emily. Oh, she recognises that one.

Also, I can't help it, when ideas strike, they strike. You don't have to answer them today. 🙃

Sera is racking her brain, trying to remember where she's seen this particular Exterminator before, when she realizes this one is Adam's second in command. She almost falls over in horror at the prospect of Emily pining after her.

Sera: "Emily. Are you serious? That one?!"

Emily, startled: "Oh, Sera! I didn't see you! Don't mind me! I was just, umm...just aaahhh...seeing how the new recruits were faring!"

Sera: "From where I'm standing, your eyes were only on one angel."

Emily, awkwardly: "Oh...oops....yeah...sorry? I guess? You caught me."

Sera, taking in a deep breath: "I know we talked about this. I told you about Carmilla, and we agreed your attraction to women would be between us... But please, Emily, please, for the love of all that is holy, reconsider that one!"

Emily: "I can't control who I like, Sera! You couldn't help falling in love with Carmilla, could you?"

Sera, pausing for several seconds and groaning under her breath: "...Touché."

Here she isssss The Handler but in WOF.

I had an idea of her being a Icewing Nightwing hybrid WITH A DASH of Rainwing (which explains the large fangs, claws, and prehensile tail)

Also RAM HORNS to make up for the bob. The bob is too iconic to not include, but a bob would look so stupid on a dragon, so I gave her ram horns to make up for it

the freckles are a NEED obv. I had a silly idea where her rainwing dna taps in where when she’s feeling intense emotions, instead of her actual scales changing colour, her freckles change colour. So if she’s extremely happy all her freckles would turn pink. PINK FRECKLES!!!

Also she wouldnt breath fire, or ice, she just has magical death spit. /ref (for anyone who hasn’t read WOF, essentially she spits venom. Like a JP Dilophosaurus.) She’d use this as a means of stunning her victims while her atrociraptors clean up the mess.

While she technically wouldnt neeeed the Atrociraptors since she’s so big and so so strong, she just uses them to clear her tracks, and clean up the mess.

I actually have a whole lore/timeline thing made up for her existing in the WOF universe incase anyone is interested in hearing abt that 💀

New headcanon about SkyWings:

I’ve been thinking about Sky and Peril a lot. Here are some Things that I came up with (mixed in with some stuff that’s just canon or common headcanon).

Firstly, yeah, I think Sky is trans. That’s almost canon at this point. He probably doesn’t ‘pass’ if such a term exists in dragon culture, but hey, no transphobia from the society, confirmed by the author herself! Everyone just lets him live his best boy life! Hell yes!

Secondly, I think that the SkyWings, especially before Ruby’s time, were very religious with their egg-hatching process. They would leave an egg out facing the sky (every egg is left alone with either a parent or another caring party, but there are no mass hatcheries). Any deviation from standard hatching procedures is frowned upon.

The hatching process of eggs containing twins is slightly different. They are kept much higher up, for fear (read: superstition) that the sky spirits will not notice the dragonets individually otherwise, cursing them to never truly find themselves because they share a soul.

Egg theft is not a common practice, but if it does happen, these higher nests are usually targeted because the altitude makes them less easy to visit and protect regularly. The egg Hvitur stole was probably a twin egg, and he was probably exhausted (eggs-hausted, anyone?) from the thin air and long flight.

Peril and Sky’s egg was also left in the high mountains, but when touched, one side was warm, the other stone cold. Kestrel was sure Sky would never survive when the egg finally hatched.

MAJOR spoilers for my Cadmium AU (also known as ‘Wings of Fire: What if The SkyWing had Survived?’) up ahead:

Cadmium and Flame were fraternal twins, not identical twins. As described, they have drastically different scale colours and patterns, along with Cadmium’s slightly crooked tooth, a minor detail and a trait Avalanche has too that I mentioned in a recent chapter.

They do, however, have the same spine, wing and claw shape, as well as the same eyes and a similar shape to them. They are about as similar as normal twins.

My idea of how this happened is that Avalanche was a dragon on the inside, there to give Hvitur the egg and leave, raising little suspicion, but when the egg hatched into two dragonets instead of one, Avalanche had to return and take one of them back to Nautilus. She chose Flame, further isolating himself from both the real and false dragonets of destiny.

Cleo is a seawing/skywing hybrid with a mix of traits, and the bio luminescence spots are outside of normal variation, likely making any aquatic talk very challenging. Not sure about the colors (might change) and wings are somewhat translucent on seawings so you can see more. Probably also lived nearby the seawing kingdom for some time before being put in the gladiator arena in the skywing kingdom. When a massive prison riot occurs she ends up escaping, along with the others, but I haven't the faintest clue what should happen next. This drawing is likely pre-gladiator arena, lacking a variety of scars they're sure to gain.

⚠️(SPOILERS TO IF YOU HAVEN'T READ BOOK 6 MOONRISING)⚠️Ok so, I heard about Tui confirming Carnelian and Moonwatcher were going being mates before deciding to kill off Carnelian. Well Carnelian is one of my F A V O R I T E characters out of two and had sooo much potential! If Moon and Carnelian DID become mates the whole love triangle of Winter and Qibli and Moon just wouldn't be an issue! Moon and Carnelian being together leaving Winter and Qibli single... Winter has also already been confirmed Bi and those two would make sense! An in my opinion Winter x Moon would be kinda toxic or akward alot with some "good" moments. Carnelian seems like she's sensible and protective which seeme PERFECT for Moon! She can reassure her on things and make sure she's safe and keep her from doing regretful things! Moon can do all the same and also calm her down and balance her anger and possible trauma of the war out. So.. What if Carnelian GUARDED Moon when the explosion went off? Secret crush for a bit but sh pushed the thoughts away til protecting moon she finally released the thoughts along the line of being scared to lose another person she loves, what happened during war to cause this fear??who did she lose before?? How?? And when Moon hears this EVERYTHING CHANGES! Carnelian after finding her future telling (not YET mind reading) really angry but doesn't leave Moons side and heals her up instead of Turtle and EVENTUALLY Moon tells her of the Mind reading with her FURIOUS but she gets over it eventually and they go to the mountains at night to talk about it.

I know it's going to be a while for me to jump back to the Nexomon tag when the next chapter for my fic drops (and believe me, that's going to take a while), there's been a semi-crazy theory I've been going over since I was thinking of weaseling it into the fic (especially during the NexoLords Frozen Tundra arc) since it's something that doesn't seem to make sense in hindsight.

Namely with the NexoLords' attempt of reviving Omnicron, and even the earlier run-in with the goons holding a bunch of bomb-experts hostage and possibly planning to use the dynamite for their own plan...What if before the Guild stopped them in their tracks, what if they had a previous attempt to revive Omnicron, failed, and were trying to cover their tracks is the second time went bust? What if the NexoLords accidentally created a Tyrant that was nothing like the great King of Monsters but the heir of Omnicron's heir the first time around?

(Minor spoilers for Micromon, major spoilers for Nexomon 1, post-N1, Nexomon Extinction, and a bunch of rambling/theory crafting below)

TL;DR: Reverse doomsday cult in Frozen Tundra "accidentally" create a monster beyond their comprehension, abandoned it at Palmaya and perpetuate the cycle of neglect Omnicron started with his "weakest child" Metta, the one true heir to the King of Monsters...Then both their plans gets ruined by a blue-haired kid.

Like I made as a joke but already plausible theory, Omnicron's youngest kid Metta (the glass pinata with a titanium ego) would've been considered the king's heir due to his moveset following every bit of his power over all elements at once. But given Metta's (gestures wildly at everything) and not immediately putting the fear of Nexo-God onto humanity, he was ignored and cast aside as the lesser of Omnicron's children...Of course, until everything that happens before and after Nexomon 1. Apart from Metta being murked from Extinction's story due to the dev not wanting to develop his character further (or also from how congested the story is already with all the protags/antagonists); there are plenty of little easter eggs that still show Metta's influence on the world long into the Tyrant War and up until N:E's story. Like him previously making a resurrection machine to revive Omnicron and his siblings and his teacher/unofficial father-figure Malk having a database in a variety of "Nexomon" similar but unknown to the public (Micromon/Pixekai Project); ultimately leading to the NexoLords (and Lobo the ex-Guild Grandmaster) finding the machine's blueprint and Amelie and Logan finding the database and extracting the info to create a anti-Tyrant weapon to topple the war in their favor and end the mindless violence once and for all. And all of this was in the Frozen Tundra, mind you, and most likely in Metta's old home or in Omnicron's Tower/Tomb; though I'm all on the former being the case :).

Circling back to the NexoLords, obviously assuming they had a chance to revive Omnicron and "restore the world's order" with their new blueprints, jumped straight into building/testing out the machine in the tower where Omnicron was once slain long long ago. Maybe they used a Nexomon egg as the catalyst, maybe gathered some residual energy in the ancient site no sane person dared to venture to; but the Nexomon they got was nothing any of them had expected. It was something human-like but not, a Tyrant but not, and a Nexomon with stars in their eyes and a bright smile against the harsh and destructive world around them...

-That's right, this was a Byeol theory rant all along! And there's nothing you can do to stop me now!! >:D To try and make a more long story short, it makes some sense to me if the NexoLords (and by extension Lobo) made Byeol in their first and only known attempt to revive the doggo dad himself (going heavy in the copium since Omnicron's soul was completely destroyed after N1), so they had to work with what they had even if they had no idea what kind of ancient/primordial Tyrant they're channeling to achieve "world peace". Besides, even if Lobo was the ex-Guild leader and had every chance to read up on Omnicron's history, who wants to bet he had no idea that Metta existed if he was never considered a threat in the first place in the past? After all, Omnicron was a Normal-type and had power over all the elements, so why would he have a Normal-type kid as well? All of his children were killed off by Ulzar, so they had to go for the source of all Nexomon, the Normal-type monster, that's the most obvious choice! (/s) If that then applies to Lobo accidentally making Metta's Tyrant, then why is Byeol found in Palmaya and not Omnicron's Tower and/or the Frozen Tundra? Simple, the NexoLords really didn't want their token Tyrant being a baby cherub bird-thing and totally not Omnicron, so they dumped him at the one place that's "Tyrant-free" and getting the little guy as far away from their base of operation as possible.

But that's still a bit ironic, you know? Metta, abandoned by his father and siblings for not putting humanity under his thumb, eventually becomes the strongest Nexomon tamer in the world (aka the Nexolord) and putting together a plan to revive his dad to destroy humanity once and for all (and finally be his dad's special little boy :). Then there's Byeol, abandoned by a man with an Omnicron mask and his Children of Omnicron-styled lackeys for not being the true King of Monsters and ending the Tyrant War without anymore bloodshed; (fic-wise) becoming a beacon of hope in Palmaya and exploring the world helping those in need and avoiding Tyrant conflicts at all cost. Cause in Byeol's strangely starry eyes, his idea of world peace is for everyone to be nice and get along, human and Nexomon, simple as that.

Whether or not it if the NexoLords knew their "Tyrant" was being raised to be a goody-two-shoes is up to debate; but I really wanted to figure out someway to explain Byeol's existence other than "he's just a post-story legendary just because" or following the series' gimmick of using post-story 'mon for the next game, but the thought itself is pretty funny to me.

(Imagine if Lute woke up almost eleven days later after Emily saved her only to have Sera and Carmilla in the room checking in on her and dressing her injuries. I’m sure Sera would have some questions about what happened to her and why she’s in hell and looks like a sinner while Carmilla, aiding Sera, is not exactly happy about Lute being there having learned that she’s the reason Emily was scapegoated.)

Lute jerks awake feeling a sharp pain where her eye was missing. She instinctively goes to swing the sharp talons of her demon hand at the offender when a large clawed hand stops her in her tracks.

“I wouldn’t if I were you. Sera is just changing out your bandages.”

Black and gold meet red and white. Lute feels very very small under the burning gaze when she realizes that is she is in the presence of a Very POWERFUL OVERLORD who is holding her arm in place so effortlessly.

“Lute…”

A softer catches her attention, she knows that voice. She turns her head and wishes the ground would swallow her up as she sees the familiar form Sera. She seems more at ease here than she ever did in heaven.

“…I have a few questions. Most will pertain to your fall, your changes, and injuries.”

She’s so screwed, of course she would want to know…but the doesn’t help her cope with the fact she caused it all herself. She tries to swallow back the guilt but it sinks into the pit of her stomach like a stone. Where to even start?

Lute's eye travels back and forth between the two women taking care of her. The overlord's face is set in a scowl that makes Lute feel smaller than she thinks she's ever felt before. There is so much hatred and scorn behind that woman's gaze, that Lute realizes her entire body is paralyzed by how intimidated she is. She's never met this person before...why does she look like she'd enjoy tearing Lute apart and feasting on her battered, bloody corpse?

Wait…is this…?

Sera seems to notice the effect the other woman is having on Lute. She smiles at the overlord, oddly soft and timid compared to how Lute is used to seeing her. Sera had once been so full of authority, with a domineering, confident air about her. The way she looks at this demon woman is...affectionate.

"Carmilla? Would you give us a moment?"

Wait…fuck….THAT Carmilla???

Carmilla doesn't speak. She shoots Lute one more angry, incensed look, and shows herself out of the room. Lute doesn't even realize how tight she'd been holding onto her bedsheets, or how tense she’d been keeping her shoulders; as the other woman exits, Lute finds herself relaxing. Her skin is still crawling, but not as bad now.

"Now," Sera says, turning her attention back to the diminutive angel. "Would you like to tell me what happened, and what you're doing here? And why you look like this?"

Lute shakes. She is shivering. Like a small child left out freezing in the cold. Like her entire body has been dunked into a freezing vat of ice water. Sera leans down, and puts her arm around Lute's shoulder. Lute almost flinches away, but Sera holds onto her tight.

"Breathe," Sera coos. "Just breathe."

Where is this coming from, Lute thinks? Why is the High Seraphim...the once powerful authority over all of Heaven, second only to the council of Elders and the Father himself, treating her this way? With so much empathy, and kindness, and patience? And gentleness? It makes no sense. Not after what Lute had done to her and Emily.

Lute feels nauseous...the bile is already rising toward the back of her throat, threatening to make a not-so-graceful exit, burning its way up her esophagus.

"Why are you helping me?" Lute asks, almost demanding. "What did I do...? You shouldn't be... It was because of me that you...!"

Lute can't manage to finish a sentence, but Sera seems like she knows what Lute is asking, all the same. She rubs Lute's shoulder where her arm is wrapped around her, holding her steady. When Lute starts to get dizzy, she helps the battered angel lie back down, holding a cold cloth to her forehead.

Lute is running a fever...she can tell from the delirium. Maybe an infection, somewhere. Her entire body hurts. But through it all, she still questions...why?

"The people down here have taught me things about forgiveness," Sera says bluntly, drawing Lute out of her bout of mental self-flagellation. "When Emily found you, I almost told her to toss you back where you came from. I was livid. She was the one who made the case to keep you here...and if I were still the type of person I was in Heaven, I wouldn't have allowed it. Or I would have let Carmilla take a stab at you first. Heaven knows she wanted you to die."

Lute quakes in fear. Sera looks at her again, with more disappointment than anger. They both know what Lute and Adam had done. How they were responsible for her and Emily becoming fallen. But rather than seek vengeance on the former Exorcist for her betrayal...the only feeling Lute gets from Sera is pity.

"But it seems like your suffering has been far more recompense for your sins than any of us could ever inflict upon you. So I want to ask you again...what happened to you? What are you doing here?"

Lute can't argue with her. She has suffered. She doesn't want to suffer anymore. So she tells Sera...everything. How her guilt had consumed her. How it had literally transformed her body, fed off her angelic essence, turning her into this, before she'd ever entered Hell. How she'd stayed behind during the last Extermination, hiding and feeding off scraps in the street while she suffered through the pain. How she'd ripped out her own eye, plucked out her own feathers, and tried to remove her demonic wings, but they just kept growing back.

Sera listens, without judgement, without derision, and just stares into the mattress next to Lute's demonic hand. She hasn't been able to look directly into Lute's remaining eye since the former Exorcist began her tale. The things the Exorcist went through...did to herself...it's almost too much for her. When Lute finishes, Sera's expression has totally changed. The anger and disappointment are gone. All that's left is...sadness.

Sera clears her throat, actively fighting back tears. "Thank you, Lute, for sharing that with me...I'm so-- Uhm. Well...Emily wanted to see you when you woke up. Do you want me to go get her?"

Lute doesn't miss the almost-apology Sera had been about to give her, but at the mention of Emily's name, the thought completely leaves her mind. Her one remaining eye brightens a little at the sound, and she tries again to sit up in bed.

"Yes!" Lute says, a little more enthusiastic than intended, fighting with herself to sit up despite the pain in her back. "Yes. Please. Let me see her."

I’m a bit late to the party but here are a couple little sketches I did while I was bored! I have never attempted to draw this man before this nor am I good at drawing with pens but he’s been living rent free in my head since the new trailer came out so I had to try. 🤣

Now, I'm not fully sure of elytrin wings will work, and I might change this but this is what I'm going with right now:

Elytrin wings are a type of high-speed wing, they can fly fast for long periods of time; the end has long gaps between islands, which is why all end type hybrids have some type of traveling method. Enderians have teleporting, shulks can float, elytrisn can fly and dragons can...well also fly-

Oh! And rant here, nether hybrids are all immune to fire and heat, like they can bathe in lava. Unless their a tracer, in which case they just have a resistance to being burned(by the sun or heat)

The main layer of feathers, like the top, represents an elytrins over all personality or a key personality traits one might say; shekby ahs always been creative so purple was her color, false is more calm and a bit distrustful so a grayish blue fits

The primary/secondary feathers, the ones under the 1st layer, represents something their good at; Shelbys good at bringing people together so green, false is good at tinkering so a light copper color fit

The same goes for enderians but about their horns and tail fluff, respectively. So Olis horns are purple while his tail fluff is pink

The same goes for a dragons spikes and wing skin thing, and shulkers shell coating(top and bottem); nightlights would be a dark blue for his spikes and a deep purple for his wings

These colors CAN change for a few reasons; trauma, they've grown, etc. However they will typically always stay in the color range so like galses used to be a neon blue, but turned into a greyish type when she got taken
