And have wind use the abilities of the windwaker

Like the sky gets darker when he gets upset

It rains if he is sad

And it storms if he is angry

But like controlling the wind is not the only ability of the windwaker

You can change day and night with the song of passing

You can also straight up command people (command melody)

And in phantom hourglass you can control time and see ghosts

Like imagine him having an actual panic attack from the point of view of like Wild who already experienced a big calamity

Like there is a hurricane appearing

The sun and moon are fighting for their spot on the sky (till it ends up a solar eclipse)

The wind is strong enough that actual boulders are flying off the ground

And you feel something commanding you to go there (wind really wants someone to stop him )

The time in several places is going out of control

And on top of that your ghost friends are freaking out because of something

You are convinced that that is divine punishment

And that the world will end

Like imagine the sheer shock that any of the chain will experience when it turns out to be wind

you’ve heard about linksmeet aus before, but today I bring you a LINKLES MEET AU

✨WELCOME TO THE LINKLE-VERSE✨

basically, an au that asks the question of: what if each Link had a Linkle counterpart? The Linkles don’t necessarily share a spirit, but they do share one thing, aka GETTING LOST! So lost in fact they end up in different eras lmao what’s better than this, just gals being pals trying to find their way back home amiright lmao

it all starts with Fauna (botw/totk!Linkle) following a story about Zelda’s whereabouts for the Lucky Clover Gazette and falling down a suspicious portal accidentally. She ends up in another era and another time, and pairs up with the local Linkle to find a way back home (though jumping through time will absolutely make a great story for the Lucky Clover!) what happens next will (not) surprise you (they get lost again and find themselves in another era, find the local Linkle and…rinse and repeat lmao)

hada dies to ganondorf’s forces while protecting oot!zelda in all timelines except the child timeline

brisa hates ww!link’s guts and refers to him as her sworn arch nemesis but it’s all one sided cause ww!link couldn’t care less about her lmao he keeps finding rare treasure and getting his hands on treasure maps, ITS NOT FAIR !

rosa is like brock from pokemon aka her eyes are always closed lmao

ocaso has a bitch resting face but is actually a sweetheart, she feeds the cats in castle town every day

linka is a traveling merchant in hyrule, while rava travels lorule. they both have had encounters with ravio in lorule/hyrule and hate him, they’re competitors lol the hatred is mutual though ravio hates them too since they keep stealing Mr Hero’s patronage from him lol

I like to imagine peregrina has stumbled upon loz/al!link a couple of times but has no idea who he is, like just a weird traveling kid lmao

alma likes trains and aspires to be a royal engineer like st!link but she also dreams of eventually being the captain of a steamboat lol

ever since she split, colores talks in plural sometimes

capa is mc!link’s cousin aka they both have the same grandpa :)

the translations of their names are:

Cielo = sky

Capa = cape

Hada = fairy

Rosa = rose or pink

Brisa = breeze

Ocaso = twilight

Linka is just Linka lol same with Rava

Colores = colors

Alma = spirit or soul

Fauna = same in English

Peregrina = pilgrim

Miyazaki's Retirement Declarations (chronologically)

Translated from last week's NHK documentary on the production of The Boy and The Heron (more under cut). I saw people posting a screencap of this and I just couldn't contain myself. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON WAY LONGER THAN I IMAGINED LMFAO

This is from the NHK programme "Professional - Their Working Philosophy" (プロフェッショナル 仕事の流儀) a few days ago (16/12/2023). The episode investigates the production process of The Boy and the Huron, and how the late Takahata Isao influenced the movie.

(It was confirmed within the documentary that Mahito = Miyazaki, Great Uncle = Takahata Isao, The Heron = Suzuki Toshio, Kiriko = Yasuda Michiyo)

The documentary is currently available on the NHK Streaming Service (Location Limited). If you have your own ways of watching and you know Japanese, I would definitely recommend the episode as it gives a lot of much-needed context to The Boy and The Heron. Personally, I haven't found a way to watch it yet, so all I know about the documentary are hearsay I saw on Japanese twitter.

Also, at the very end of the episode, Miyazaki was shown working on a Naucicaa piece without any explanation, which led to many people speculating whether he could be working on a sequel for Naucicaa of the Valley of the Wind.

What do yall think? Do you think he's going to finally retire or release yet another animated film in a few years? I would love to see Naucicaa 2 but I also feel like he really needs to... yknow, chillax a bit and stuff. He deserves a long ass vacation.

Like using something this powerful would definitely change someone fundamentally

You couldn’t stay a mortal after something like that

And it would make his beyond broken skill set make sense

He can command someone with the command melody

He can control day and night (song of passing)

He can change the direction of the wind

Can control seagulls and has extreme strength that a kid shouldn’t possess (he can easily hold a struggling pig over his head and throw that poor thing)

And has fire , ice and even light magic (fire and ice got gifted by the fairy queen and the light magic was found in a chest but the fact that he uses his own magic for all of the arrows is just crazy to consider)

Can create hurricanes to bring him to other places and probably destroy the world with them if he wanted too because those are literally just hurricanes)

And after phantom hourglass he Was in constant contact with a god's life force

Had three spirits follow him and killed a deity like demon bellum

And Cielia consideres him her brother (and she is conveniently related to a god ) and she promised to forever protect his dreams form nightmares

He can see ghosts

Stop time

And the spirits are three but the elements of wisdom, power and courage

And time is the fourth and belongs to Cielia

She promised to protect him forever and that means that he would have to live forever

She would happily give him one of her elements to keep her promise

And that would make the spirits be balanced with a fourth one

Wind main while hasn’t noticed it but the chain sure has and is very much going crazy in the background
