Studying can be a daunting task, especially when we're not feeling motivated or don't know where to start. Luckily you are on Tumblr, where the Tumblr Studyblr community lives!
A group of individuals who share their study tips, techniques, and challenges to help motivate and inspire others.
As a member of this community, I've compiled a master post of study challenges created by Studyblr bloggers. These challenges aim to help students stay on track, improve their focus, and achieve their academic goals. So you can join in and start achieving your academic potential!
>> 𝐍 𝐨 𝐭 𝐞
If you know any other challenges or you've created ones yourself and want to share them, do message me with the link to the post so I can update the list! I too will be creating some, more coding-related ones as I am a coding studyblr (codeblr) blog! That's all and hope you find a challenge you'd like to start!

Hi! I’m new to studyblr! I’m doing wilstudies’ april studyblr challenge. I thought it might be nice to reflect on things!
🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍
1. what are you looking forward to this month?
Easter! Also getting most of the way done with this semester haha, it’s been a bit stressful.
2. three goals for april?
I’d like to finish or at least be close to finishing all my final projects and assignments. I’d like to finish the semester with a 3.5. I’d also like to get a healthy amount of sleep while I’m doing it!
3. reflect on march
As I’ve said before, it was pretty stressful with so many assignments. I got to work on my 3d modelling hobby a bit more though, which was nice.
🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍
Goals for today:
- register for courses for next semester ✅
- finish draft for philosophy paper ✅
- work on cs presentation ✅
- learn about the housing selection process ✅
🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍

Hi wil, sorry to bother you again, but I really need some help. I'm studying French, English language and English literature at A-level and I have mocks in 3 weeks. French is fine because of all the extra work I did over the summer, but English lang and lit is decidedly...not. I have ADHD, and was also generally not having a good time of it over the first term, so I wasn't really revising as I went. I'm not entirely sure how I should go about studying, because I cannot focus at home at ALL and my sixth form is closed. Do you have any advice for studying A-levels with mental health conditions?
you're not bothering me at all, so no worries :D
in my experience, it's all about trial and error and can be very hit and miss :( but, at the bottom of this post i've linked some advice columns i found helpful when looking for ways to make studying accessible to neurodivergents, or those with mental illness.
my no. 1 piece of advice is that you optimise your environment according to your headspace. some days it's easier for me to work at a desk, with a few candles, a lofi playlist and completely romanticise it. other days, i get out my bed-desk and curl up in bed, with a twitch stream in the background.
i find it is worth planning a go-to method of engaging all of your senses. whether that be a playlist of crunchy music, a rocking chair at your desk or chewing gum. it's about finding an optimum state of stimulation, to be able to focus on the task at hand. try using a variety of study methods for the same effect - recording/listening to summary podcasts; the 'match' interactive on quizlet; youtube videos of exam paper walkthroughs.
it's also helpful to understand your personal signs of burnount and overstimulation, and how to remedy them efficiently. i tend get tense aches and pains and a stuffy head when i'm starting to burnout, so, i splash my face in cold water, walk around my house to stretch everything out and take some deep breaths of fresh air. i never go back to working until i feel better, as that just makes my burnout worse in the long-term. pro-tip: a weighted blanket and a good tv series are a blessing for burnout you just cannot shake.
if it’s possible definitely try studying at your local library or a café! if not, perhaps get yourself a study buddy either irl or online.
how to complete your tasks if you can’t do routines
how to study while having mental health issues
how to change your study environment when you’re self-isolating
saving your grades from a mental health crisismy list of random mental health tips from an AGE ago
how i stay focused while studying (masterpost)
as for subject specific tips, there’s plenty of useful youtube videos detailing former students’ experiences with revision, mocks and final exams!
my post on revising with a quickly approaching deadline
i hope you find this helpful !! my asks and dms are always open if you ever need to talk/vent <3

Recently, I've felt like I've made some mistakes as a studyblr, and I really want to start over, but not delete my account or any of the posts; like a revamp, I guess. Do you have any tips as to where I should start? x
hiya wil!! can i pls firs say that i absolutely love ur blog & ur posts aaaa
hmm im not too sure on how one would go about this cuz I’ve never done it before, but here are some things that i can think of:
find out what u wanna do in ur revamp, what interests u & what u don’t wanna do again in ur “new blog”
maybe a new aesthetic, new theme, new url, w/e strikes ur fancy?
make a re-intro post
make a new tag for ur new original posts so that when ppl go to see ur originals, u can have 2 diff options for new & old originals?
just basically do ur own thing, whatever u like & ideas on how to revamp ur blog will follow! imo, there are no mistakes one can make as a studyblr w respect to their content? we’re all so diff & unique & thats what makes every blog special ^^
anyhoo, hope these tips help! gl w ur revamp & hope u have a great day!! tc

Monday 27th March 2023
April is in 5 days and this year I will be doing an April Study Challenge! I don’t think I did one last year but yay ho! I’m going to start one this year! I’m going to follow the one made by @wilstudies - LINK TO THE CHALLENGE INFO POST ✉️
Want to do another study challenge? I made a masterpost of all of the Studyblr challenges you could try and complete! - LINK
I’m going to do two versions of the challenge:
Programming study on my coding blog (this one - @xiacodes)
Spanish language studies on my personal blog (@xiabablog)
Spanish language study is something I really wanted to do for a while. I’ve been influenced by the TV shows and some of my Spanish-speaking family members to learn the language finally. My main goals are the speaking and listening skills, solely because they’re always my best skills when learning a language!
With programming, I will continue learning C#, Python, JavaScript, and Lua. Studying and creating mini projects to then feel confident to build massive projects. Within the challenge, I will focus more on studying than on personal projects. I am guilty of maybe pursuing new projects every couple of days, I need to get the education/theory right so I’ll feel more confident in what I’m doing in the future!
Can’t wait to start the challenge so wish me good luck! 🥰🎉💗

ah this is so helpful! tysm💛
~sleepover ask~ | I've got the next week off school, but I'm worried I'm going to overwork my self and forget to relax. I haven't the slightest clue how to balance things this break, any tips? x
I find that when the biggest thing is to listen to your body. If you’re starting to get tired, or your mind is starting to go off topic- go and do something else! It’s great to be productive, but there are times that we don’t feel up to it.
We learnt at a study workshop the other day, that you should focus on tasks rather than time. Meaning that you might sit down and complete one page of questions, and make a summary for one topic, then have a break.
It causes you to be more productive, without wasting time saying something like “I’m going to sit down and do an hour of math” and then find after 20 minutes- you’ve done your work and now you’re wasting time forcing yourself to be productive.
In saying that, I like to set a time that I will not do any more work. This may sound a little confusing with the next part but….
I find the best way to keep a balance of work and relaxing, is to have a ‘reward’ for each task. Three hard task might mean two episodes of a TV show or a movie. But don’t do the rewards during studying. Every time you complete a task, write down the reward on a sheet of paper, and throughout the week- at different times of the day, complete these tasks.
It sounds a little confusing, but it means that you get to do fun things that aren’t work. And by setting a time to stop for each day (make sure to change it up each day too. So it might be 6pm one day and 3pm the next!) it helps you stop burnout!
Hopefully this helps a bit xx
ps. I am loving this february challenge x

How to study a language at school
Hi! I’ve studied several languages throughout my time in the education system, the main ones being French, Arabic and German. I thought I would give some advice on how to make the most out of classes, and how to study outside of them.
Learn all the vocabulary you are given in class. You can use flashcards (digital ones, like anki, quizlet and memrise, are very good). Personally, I have two sets of flashcards on anki: one for class vocabulary, and one for vocabulary I have learnt outside of class. You can also try to use mneumonics and songs to learn them, so that they stick in your head (when I was a kid, I remember learning the Arabic names for fruit by singing the vocab list to the tune of ‘centuries’ by fall out boy - it was very effective!). Also, try to write them down, and keep on testing yourself on them. Note down any useful extra words as well, though you don’t have to memorise them. They are just nice.
For each topic, try and generate some points to make before you have to write or speak about them. For example, if you have to talk about the generation divide in your target language, then try writing down your opinions in English first. Then, try figuring out a few ways to express those points in your target language. Maybe try memorising some set phrases, or relevant strings of vocabulary (credit to @wilstudies for this idea!).
Do practice questions. Use practice questions for grammar especially. Also, try doing exam specific practice, like reading and listening tasks. You can use work/textbooks for this. You might also be able to find them online.
It’s kind of a no brainer, but don’t waste your lessons. Do all the tasks set for you, even if you don’t like them, and do your homework. Also, make sure to ask your teacher for the meanings of certain words, or to explain grammar you don’t understand. Maybe try speaking in your target language during your lessons with the person you are sitting beside.
Immerse. Try watching youtube videos, and read social media posts in your target language in your free time. Maybe listen to a podcast while you are walking to school, or read fanfiction when you are bored. Switch your phone’s language to your target language. Just try to listen to and read content that you can understand at least 70% of.
Thanks for reading this post! I hope it was useful to you!

6th of April
Today has just been terrible. Anyway enjoy my chemistry notes.
I decided I’m taking part in @wilstudies challenge, I’m very excited :)
April study challenge
what are you looking forward to this month?
I’m going to a vet practice in about 2 weeks time so I’m excited for that since I’m going to be getting some hands on experience. I’m also going to a theme/amusement park as well with my friends and I think that’s about it.
three goals for april?
Get better grades/study smarter not harder
Watch more tv/films
reflect on march
March was okay, nothing memorable really happened except getting into the finals of this competition but apart from that it was a very relaxing month.
how are you finding your subjects at the moment?
Um…
Maths:
Pure: I can do pure and I find it fairly easy and really like it the only thing that gets me which I find irksome is exponential for the most part you are subbing in and I just can’t do it :,)
Stats: I think stats is definitely my favourite because it’s my strong suit, what we are doing now is quite challenging and has made me have to think (we are doing binomial distribution) but I’m getting better at it.
Mechanics: …
I wish I could leave it at that but I’m rubbish at mechanics, I’m so bad and I just can’t do it I find it the most challenging third of AS maths. It’s just a bunch of physics and I’m not the best at physics.
Biology:
I’m not horrendous at biology I quite like it and it’s definitely my easiest subject: I would say I don’t always do well on the tests but I definitely find the concepts fairly easy and if not after an hour of two of consolidation or asking questions I understand. I think my issue is remembering the content e.g for a test if I don’t remember I’ll just make it up…
Chemistry:
I love chemistry, it’s definitely my favourite out of the three and I’m definitely getting better especially with my graded homework, I have an assessment coming up and I’m fairly competent in the topic so I’m kind of looking forward to it? I’m really good at the maths side of chem I just need to get better at the organic side but I have time for that :)
what initially sparked your interest in the subjects you take?
Honestly I don’t really know I just have the undeniable love for stem and I find it fascinating it’s great.
how do you plan your time? bullet journal, phone memos etc.
In my head. On a serious not I’ll have a rough idea and some times I’ll write it down if it’s weekdays since time available will vary. On weekends I use an app called structured to manage my time as it’s very easy to create a time plan on it.
🎵 breakeven - the script
