Just got home from taking Rocky to the vet to get a facial wound checked out. The wound was badly infected and had killed the skin directly over it. They also did blood work and checked him over. He's got a mild heart murmur (a 3 out of 6 on their scale, expected even for a healthy 19yr old cat), noticeably under-weight and has anemia - no kidney, liver, thyroid problems or signs of any cancer/tumors.

Now I get to give him once a day liquid antibiotics for the infection, twice a day iron/vitamin liquid supplements for the anemia, plus more wet cat food/healthier senior-oriented dry food to put on weight until his follow-up in a two weeks.

So worried it was going to be worse, now the hard part will be force-feeding him the meds.

everyone would know that you and lighter are together because there would be teal strands of hair on your person.

his hair is super fluffy and healthy and he loves nuzzling into you, it is literally no surprise that there would be one or two strands on you. it’s dark enough so people might mistake it for cat fur at first but then they’d see you interacting with lighter and the dots connect.

I am a terrible person and did something unforgivable last night.

While sleeping in my recliner I was having a vivid dream where something was attacking me and I was having difficulty moving my arm to fight back. Then my arm was able to move and I felt it connect with something soft and furry.

I had punched my elderly cat who was sleeping on my chest.

I punched my 18 year old Rockhead and it's one thousand years jail for me, if not more

He is okay, he just hid under my bed for several hours and would slink/run-hide whenever he saw me for a bit but he's currently sitting in between me and the computer demanding to be comforted for the mortal sin I committed.
