Do the inhabitants of Chronos all have natural colored coats? (Black, Grey,brown, etc)

Are there any that aren't in the naturalistic color spectrum?

Is there any specific reason Vici is purple-ish?

They are all mostly natural (with my own spin on what "natural" means, lol) — Vici is considered to have a very regular gray-ish coat. I just like adding undertone colors to differentiate characters a little more. For example, Livi is blue (dark gray), Citra is orange (tan), etc. Avelus is light gray but sometimes I give him pink-ish undertones.

This doesn't apply to felyns of course. They can come in blues, greens, yellows, and extreme lights and darks of those colors. This also doesn't account for dying fur, which is something people do in-universe. It just so happens that Chronos doesn't really have much in the way of dyes.

Are Vici's and Avelus suits of armor merely for protection, or do they have any interesting gadgets/ hidden weapons within them? (Like a grappling hook/ wrist mounted flamethrower)

Mostly for protection, though lots of people in-universe customize their suits with all sorts of gadgets. Vici's propulsion packs are mostly for dodging, flying, and general mobility, but as we can see in Chronos she can also use them to burn enemies. Avelus's suit in Chronos is quite plain and is pretty much all protection, but his HUD practically puts him in a video game and helps him keeps track of all sorts of statistics. That being said, their suits can also regulate temperature, allow for space walks, and filter and recycle air. There's also a way to eat/drink while in the suit, though all nutrients would need to be in a liquid form.

do you have any character playlists for Chronos?

Like do you keep sets of songs you have assigned to characters so that people can get a generalized vibe for them?

I have two! One for Vicidia on her own and then one for both Avelus and Vicidia >:)

I need to do some more organizing for the couple playlist, but here's Vici's! I don't really know if these songs go together tbh but they're just songs that make me think of her :)

are there any specific reasons why Vici and Avelus keep their hair short?

Vicidia's hair doesn't grow; at least not any longer than it is right now. She hasn't tried cutting it because she doesn't know if it'll grow back.

Avelus's hair kind of goes through phases with whether or not he's too busy to get it cut. He usually waits until it gets long enough to hinder his work (i.e get in his eyes) to get it cut.

Are there any interesting alien flora/fauna (other than the felyn) in the universe of Chronos?

Absolutely! I wish I had more planetside scenes in Chronos to touch on this more, and Spectra does mostly take place on stations as well so it's hard to write in the fauna I had in mind. But — there will be some in Spectra. Most colonized planets have their own unique set of flora and fauna. Some are incredibly dangerous, but most are just... the usual. The drug Avelus and Vici do at the end of Chronos (plume) is actually an extract taken from the down of an alien bird, hence the name. I think the initial idea I had for it was a type of chemical reaction took place within the down, something to do with secretions the skin lets out mixing with the dust of their environment, resulting in a substance that can have relaxing and brain-numbing effects if ingested. Also these birds are giants.

do the felyn have any abilities? Or do they just look cool

Felyns are interesting in the sense that they have some unique abilities, but it's quite rare, and it takes a certain level of skill to use them, if at all. As babies, most are able to see in the dark, though this ability typically diminishes as they get older. In some cases they are able to "train" their vision to keep this ability but it varies widely amongst adults, and aging will always make it more difficult. Photographic memory is another common trait that can be "trained" for most felyns. It's a lot of work, though, so most don't bother putting in the effort. There are rumors of the species having more metaphysical powers in ancient times, but with the advancement of society and technology these traits were assumed to be abandoned in favor of the ease of tech. There's a bit more, but I can't delve into it too much — Spectra will touch on felyns and some of their unique capabilities more :)

Avelus seems to get around a lot, does he have any favorite exotic food dishes? Anything he can only get at one (1) specific location?

He's got a sweet spot for fried foods and honey-like sweets. So it's only natural he would go absolutely wild for a delicacy found some ways out of the ribbon, on some random planet he's only been to a handful of times — deep fried root plant (similar to a lotus root probably) DUNKED in a thick syrupy sauce.

do Avelus or Vici favor any guns? Have they any "special" or "personal" weapons? Have they given any of them a name?

Avelus has had a plethora of guns throughout his life/careers, and has named quite a few (mainly those he's personally worked, modified, or painted). He also has many prototype sketches and designs that he used to daydream about when he had the time to! But he learns not to get too attached to his weapons, because it's way too common they get lost or damaged. Vicidia doesn't use guns. She was very likely trained with them before the events of Chronos, but presently, she prefers holo weapons and won't use anything else if melee is accessible to her. Her dual holo blades are her signature.
