-Pre-corruption he had sex semi-frequently with various different partners over a long period of time, but the closer he got to corruption the more... boring sex became. There wasn't much appeal other than dominating his partner, and even then, once he did that it was kind of nothing.

-He's experienced and he's very good at what he does, but he doesn't really care to initiate in most cases. Despite what most might think of him, he values the time he spends with you. Sex seems like it would be a waste of it, so he just doesn't bother with it.

-Unless, of course, you seem to be into the idea. Then his tune changes. Oh, his little warrior wants to try something different? Alright, sure, but he won't hold back on you. (He does, of course, because he can't have you crumbling on him.)

-Your first time with him is... interesting. He is, in all meanings of the word, considerate of you and your well-being the whole time. 🌸You've got that kind of glib coyness about you, a pretty person's absolute faith in everyone's helpless chivalry - if not because of it and your importance to their current problem, Sanzu would've probably murdered you on the spot for making them all wait so long for you to show up. Your apologies are about as real as the flowers in the meeting room's vase, but everyone grits their teeth and accepts it. You're annoying to deal with, oh so very manipulative and mysterious and does “straight answer with a reasonable price” just not exist in your book?

You're lucky you're the best in the information business. The only thing Koko can grudgingly like about you is that you're efficient and you're never wrong.

🌸Kakucho isn't that fond of you either. You're too wily and cunning for his liking, always with some double agenda with your demands. Or maybe he doesn't like you because he once was unlucky enough to be assigned to take you out on your latest shopping spree and you ditched him the moment some thugs showed up, leaving him flailing while trying to protect all the bags you'd make him carry.

“Hey, hey, don't be mad, I'm sure your boss will be even madder if he found out I got in a, ah, little scuffle and bumped my head, therefore losing your insider information on Harashima Corporations, wouldn't he?”

🌸Ironically you like him the most. Probably because Kakucho is Kakucho and he's reluctantly the nicest to you. Not that being your favourite is fun - you're always requesting him whenever you show up with that irritating little wave and a sing-song “Morning, Kaku-chan ~” The ruder he is to you (which isn't much; it's Kakucho, what did you expect?) the more you'll just wipe a “tear” from your eye and chuckle to yourself..

He's not sure how to feel about you, honestly, because on one hand you save them a lot of trouble with your info…but is playing your ridiculous games worth it?

🌸Funny enough Sanzu tolerates you the most and yours and his interactions are by far the most peaceful, most cordial. Perhaps it's because he's crazy and murderous enough that even you're a little wary of playing around with him, especially after the little incident when you'd called him “Rosie” on your first meeting. You learnt to watch your mouth (and your hands) after that around him, even in more often than not you fail.

🌸Or perhaps it's because Mikey finds you useful, useful enough to keep you around and call you to Bonten's aid constantly, so by extension Sanzu finds you useful and so he won't decapitate you - whatever pleases Mikey, right? (You fixed the haircare trauma he suffered after Baji, even unintentionally, that’s why.)

🌸He’s actually fun to be around though sometimes! You, him and the Haitani brothers, on the occasional day you all share a brain cell (or you manipulate them all into sharing it with you) are a new source of fear for Tokyo’s underworld…and a headache for the rest of the executives.

🌸But right now, you’re a headache for all the executives. For a few measly documents, you want a what?!

“Are you deaf? I thought I was pretty clear, hmm.” The audacity of you, even checking your nails at a time like this! “I said, if you want the info, race me. If you win, I’ll give it to you and our next deal will be a hundred per cent free of charge.”

“And if we lose?”

“Well, you can start by giving me VIP access to all your clubs.” Your smile is angelic; your wink at the Haitani brothers was anything but innocent. “So? Race, no race?”

You clap your hands, a little celebratory “yay”. “Mikey! Glad you could join us - had a feeling Koko might rat us out, or you might’ve noticed I pulled a couple strings to get them to close off this road.”

He stops short in front of your bike. “What are you doing here?”

“Don’t blame them, they’re only upholding their end of the deal if you all want those documents.” Tantalizingly you produce a USB drive from your pocket and wave it around carelessly. “Want to race? I’m afraid only one of you can though. I’m not that arrogant.”

“…you know I could just get those documents from you another way, right?” It’s matter of fact, the way he says it. You know it’s true. He could simply put a gun to your head, throw you in jail, torture you, et cetera et cetera. But he won’t and you know it.

“You could try. But too bad this thing will die with me if anything should happen - and who else will do your dirty work for you in the future?”

“…fine.”

“I knew you’d see it my way!” You patted his head condescendingly. “I’ll explain the rules now-”

“But you’re racing against me.”

Well. Things just took an interesting turn.

🌸One look is enough to silence the protests from Sanzu and Kakucho, to quieten the grumblings from the Haitani brothers; but maybe it was for the best. Reluctantly they moved away from their own bikes and let their boss examine them to pick one, heading off to the sidelines under your direction - “No, no, Ran, you can’t stand there, stand here.” Mikey was the invincible Mikey after all. In what universe could he possibly lose to you, especially in a biking race? You’d be an idiot to try-

🌸(Except…you’re not an idiot. You already guessed Koko ratted them out. You would’ve known Mikey would show up…could you have guessed he’d join too? What’s your game here?)

🌸“It’s very simple, Mikey! All Bonten has to do is stand on the finish line before me, or else the drive stays with me and I get VIP benefits to every single club you own for free.” You clap and secure on your helmet, flashing him one last cheeky grin. “Think you can do that?”

🌸Mikey should’ve known from the start racing with you would never have been that straightforward - doing anything on your turf and terms never was. You were fast in your own right, and in any other circumstances Mikey might’ve been able to overtake you.

You just had to make things harder by conveniently forgetting to mention the obstacles in place; pedestrians were still around to avoid and gawk, and you had decided to use the road with the most potholes in all of Tokyo, little shit that you are. You’ve got the upper hand here, already aware about all the things you’ve set on his path and easily dodging and swerving, even turning back to give him a little wave.

You know. My headcanon for trans Kerry doesn't even change his character, events, or how he is in canon, etc. It's literally just him but if he happened to be trans. It's literally him, but if he was pulling up putting people at gunpoint, burning down yachts, singing, shredding, talking to V, kissing, dating.. but if he happened to be trans while doing it.

Him being trans isn't this big thing to me, it's just something he happens to be. Like. We need more characters where being trans isn't their whole characterization, but just a passive piece of info that doesn't impact the events in canon or canon revolves around, info that people can go "Oh! Cool! Alright :)!!' and move on. Where they're just another person, not something to be tokenized. Like. Hopefully that's makes sense, y'know?

Like I don't change anything about canon to mold to him being trans. He's just some guy who happens to be. That's it. That's all. The MOST I make him being trans have a bigger impact on his story is LITERALLY only during his young adulthood transitioning with Johnny around. And that's still me just playing around with headcanons 😭 There's no in game events that show us what pre 2013 Kerry was like, or how 2008 samurai was like. Like yes, there's the few scraps from ttrpg books I've seen and even concept books, but those just showcase his characterization more than solidify huge events for him in canon.

Like. I don't have this big, grand, idea on why he's trans, he's just is, and low-key it's just me projecting half the time 😭 (t4t EuroV <3). Like. I guess if I HAD to come up with more poetic reasons or point to subtle/unintentional coding, it'd be something like. Kerry's storyline in game having themes of transformation and change.

Rising from the ashes of an old life you weren't sure was ever yours, or was what you really wanted, labels constantly micromanaging who you should be, having preconceptions instilled in you about the face and identity you should project out into the world, that constant demand of *who* you should be rather than who you want to be, an unhappiness in that life that led you to a rock bottom, ashes that transform into a life you're more comfortable in, something you found you wanted, found drive for life and found worth in again. That made you happier for it, motivated, passionate about life even.

And there's also obviously his cyberware, and how his gold seams coincidentally, suspiciously, run along JUST under his pec line to the sides right under his arms. Like.. ykno... top surgery scars.

Kerry's just some trans dude, just adds a little more depth to his character for me, but it's not all he is to me. That it plays an important part of him, but at the end of the day. He's still just some dude. I want him to be just some dude. I want others to see him as some dude even if he's trans, not the one piece of information others see of his character for my headcanons and decide that's the sole reason they don't like the headcanon, don't like my interpretation of him.

Something that's reflected in society too often, people finding someone to be trans and using that as the sole purpose they don't like them, nothing at all to do with their character, just that they happen to be trans.

I’m disappointed by how unpopular Amphibia is on this site- I never even see it trending. I remember when Marcy’s Journal came out, and I was certain that it would trend then, yet it didn’t. Then the official art book for the show came out, and still, nothing (you’d think it featuring explicit sashanne and yulivia art would be a big deal on here, but apparently not). And now the other day, info about the upcoming graphic novel was revealed, and zilch. Meanwhile, The Owl House trends on here literally every other day despite no new content for it being released (outside of Chibiverse shorts, but those don’t seem to be the reason why it trends). It saddens me how Amphibia continues to get completely slept on while The Owl House is still extremely popular despite it not being as good of a show. It’s not fair honestly.

There is SO MUCH that goes into this. I'll actually try to keep this short on the analysis side but before I even do that: A piece of advice. Your media does not need to be the most popular to be special to you. To matter a lot to you. Nothing can take that from you. As someone who has been dealing with their fandom imploding and trying to put a little distance from it for that reason, it's good to have that joy be personal rather than too reliant on fandom. Not trying to say you haven't but it's good to be reminded.

Anyways: Why isn't Amphibia popular on social media?

1: It's non-controversial. There's no lingering elements that people are going to bring up anytime it comes up. TOH comes up and you always, ALWAYS get people talking about the shortening. There just isn't anything like that except people who probably saw the comic announcement and went "UGH! Marcy and Sasha got screwed over for the frogs AGAIN!" -_-

2: It's didn't play to a fandom. It didn't lean into shipping or fan theorizing that could be going on to this day besides Sprivy, which was less leaning into shipping and wanting to just talk about relationships, and the trio. You don't have ongoing shipping wars in part because there isn't a lot of fuel for that sort of thing. There isn't a whole plethora of attractive people that people want to ship Anne with, or unanswered questions about the show besides "Why didn't Domino let them go between the worlds!?"

3: There's no discourse. Like TOH stated a lot of things that were hot on social media. Put its thumb on the scale. Stuff like that. Then people like myself dissected what it had to say and how it said it and TOH's problems have created a community in and of itself on here dedicated to punching each other until the other gives up. This is how you get a new blog called 'DefendingtheOwlHouse' pop up almost two years after the show ended. Meanwhile, I got an ask yesterday about how people didn't ask Anne about Sasha and Marcy also having gone missing at the same time as her because with Amphibia... *shrug* It talked about universal topics like change, community, relationships and what not and did them extremely well and thoroughly so the big thing to say for that is "Go watch the show." This is how you get the unhinged takes that were making me LOSE MY MIND at one point as people kept bringing them to me because you have to go way afield in order to find something to talk about the show, good or bad, that the show doesn't just do already.

There's probably more I could think of if I tried, like the gay elements, but these are some of the bigger ones for what causes something to still drive engagement now versus a solid product that isn't constantly clamoring to be noticed. I also already made this longer than I meant to. ^^;

But again, the important thing is just to hold it close to you and let it be what it is in that way. It's cliche but everyone else's opinion doesn't matter. It's not easy of course, it's something I could do with internalizing more myself, but it's important nonetheless. See you next tale.

I know there's nothing about this in the manga and that we've only been shown the most important members of Bonten, but do you think Hanma is in Bonten? Not as an executive but working for Bonten in some way, he was in KMG and we don't know if that was because of Takemitchi altering the past again or if he was actually in KMG in the Bonten timeline. There's Shion too but when I think about him, I get a lot of different ideas about what could have happened... maybe he died in the war of the 3 deities, Mikey discarded him or he simply gave up. I can see Hanma being useful in some way to Bonten but not Shion, I know they all matured and changed but Shion to me is someone who would be easily influenced by the money and power he would gain by being a Bonten member, at some point he would do something stupid lmao (I like him even though it doesn't seem like it) while Hanma is different about that, I can see him being the person who gets important information and even maybe finding traitors, someone who acts in the shadows

Ah I'm also undecided on this! Like I have a few different ideas on this and I don't really have a favourite (I'm a lot more clear cut on why I think Wakasa and Benkei aren't there). But I do agree that if Hanma is a part of bonten then he's not an executive, instead I think he would have some other kind of role. I could see him potentially doing undercover type roles and deals or being an informant, where he isn't known to be in bonten so he get's trusted with a lot of stuff the other gangs don't want bonten to know and Hanma secretly gives that info to them. Tbh I think Hanma would enjoy these roles a lot more then an executive role too. Whenever we've seen him in gangs in the future he's been very different from his past self. He seems bored with it all (I think it's because he prefers the unpredictability and the climb to being on top rather then actually being at the top). So these kind of roles seem to be more him.

Tied to that I could also see him being an enemy of bonten, the person tying him to all the other future gangs we've seen is Kisaki. So without kisaki, I wonder if he would've eventually quit because he really did get bored or wanted to do his own thing. Could definitely see him enjoying being an enemy of bonten and undermining them in deals and jobs.

I have been receiving several asks regarding some of my recent posts. I admit they are darker than the usual stuff. That was a decision I consciously made, because I do tend to have darker fantasies and wanted to see how they would be received. I consider most of the criticism I received to be valid points. Here are a few of them:

The whole idea of "ruining yourself"/"ruining your body" as you're gaining weight can be found fatphobic

Connecting feederism to habitual behavior, addiction, loss of control, and even brain damage can be found scary or even disturbing

Encouraging people to embrace health issues (both physical and mental) because of feederism can be found toxic

Constantly connecting feederism and weight gain with the negative side effects (sluggishness and laziness, health issues, societal judgement, etc.) can lead to the conclusion that feederism, obesity, indulgence, etc. are generally bad things

I won't try to defend myself. In fact, I completely agree with (most) criticism I received. The only kind of "criticism" I don't recognize are attacks toward me personally, but that's just reflected in a minority of the asks I receive. To all people who have sent me asks: it's great that you're sharing your opinion and thoughts, and I encourage you to keep doing so!

I think it is necessary to mention again that I don't mean anyone any harm. I am not fatphobic, and I do not mean to force any kinks upon anyone. This is just me writing and recording some horny ideas I occasionally have for those people who are into the same stuff. It is also very important to mention that in many cases, the fantasy of something can be very hot, while the reality of it could be very stressful and traumatizing. This is especially the case with more intense fantasies and kinks, e.g., being kidnapped and fattened. Everything I write takes place in "fantasy land". Nothing I post is meant as a threat, actual encouragement for dangerous behavior or self harm, or other harmful behavior. Pleae keep this in mind!

Getting back to the criticism: Yes, I like the dark stuff. I am very intrigued by the idea of feedees getting fatter for pleasure, despite all the negative consequences that can come with weight gain and obesity. I also enjoy calling people out for it, both with mild teasing and with very direct "you're damaging yourself" claims. I know that this is not everybody's cup of tea, which is why I already tag all posts with darker topics related to self-destruction, severe health issues, permanent damage and even death with "#death feederism" and "#death feedist". This is also mentioned in my pinned info post under "My Content", encouraging people to hide these tags who are not into certain content I post. However, it is quite clear that this isn't a great solution – otherwise I would not be receiving these asks.

I am very open to solving this issue together. After all, it always has been my personal ambition to write and record content for your enjoyment and pleasure. I want to make you – the readers and listeners – feel good and excited. I don't mean to scare or disturb you with my darker fantasies and kinks that don't appeal to you. Nonetheless, I do enjoy causing "holy shit, this is really bad, but it just feels so good!" pleasure and horniness.

In the past, I occasionally made use of trigger warnings at the top of my posts. If I recall correctly, I did hide the main content behind the "Keep reading" button. This was not consistent, but I am open to generally implementing this for all future posts that include sensitive subjects, such as death feederism, consensual non-consent, heavy conditioning and brain damage, or severe degradation and objectification.

However, before I do that, I first wanted to recognize the asks I received and open the conversation by addressing these issues. I encourage you to share your thoughts on this with me in the comments, asks, or my dms. Please let me know whether you think the combination of a trigger warning and a "Keep reading" button is sufficient and reasonable. I will still be tagging my posts accordingly, like I've done in the past, so filtering through hiding certain hashtags will remain an option either way.

Of course, it all pairs with her body language and specific words, but it's effective nearly all of the time. She has kept her unique magic well hidden, but she doesn't consider it a secret.

I sorted her into Pomefiore because. like. i think that fit her aesthetic, first off, but she’s also she fits in with their self-betterment thing. Kalmia, however, abandons all self-preservation to attain what she believes is better for her. She maintains her weight through unhealthy dieting, and I KNOW that all that hair dye is NOT going to be good for her head later on (this is fiction though so let’s pretend for now). She’s aware that it’s bad for her, but she’s also the type to focus on the present.

She doesn’t really have anything to look forward to. She just wants to be saved with love.

Childishly, she wants a prince charming she can marry and live happily ever after with, but that’s as far as her future thoughts go. After all, what truly matters is how she’s treated in the present.

Fun fact! Vil hates (?) her btw. He sees Kalmia's efforts and acknowledges it, but he's disappointed that's it's misdirected and short-term. Kalmia abandons self-preservation for self-betterment. Vil wants her to do both. He thinks she's wasted potential. It's not like he's going to give up on changing her mind, of course. As long as Kalmia's in his dorm, he'll make her realize a couple things about herself.

I also think that fandom's reaction to Darius' and Camila's relationship (of any kind) also really shows fandoms biases.

And, just to be clear, i am writing this under the assumption that there is no canon info about Darius's sexuality because all info i've seen was based on fanmade wikis - which are not, as far as i know, made with the participation of toh creators and all the wikis might be edited by the same fans or use each other as sources (and one of the people who was agressively pushing the opinion that wikis are canon had several absolutely disgusting posts about Darius on their blog and had said outright biphobic things so i wonder whether there were other motives in claiming wikis as canon). If i am wrong and there is at least word of god info - please tell me! And i am sure most darimila shippers would've stopped shipping it romantically if the new canon info was dropped. But the important thing is that the dislike of darimila had started long before the finale when there was nothing even in the wikis, and it extends to platonic relationship as well.

And incompatible orientation would be the only legit reason to dislike romantic darimila, because all the other reasons are just bad faith:

"Oh, fans only want them together because of Hunter. Why should it be about Hunter?" Everything in the fandom is already about Hunter. Strange how it isn't a problem when Darius and Camila are reduced to Hunter's caretakers separately or when they are constantly pitted against each other because of Hunter. And while there might be fans who want them to be together because of Hunter, most people who talked about darimila had noticed similarities and contrasts between their stories and wanted to explore them.

They are both people who were deeply affected by the death of someone close to them and after that person's death ended up stuck in a place where they couldn't fully be themselves and had to confirm and act strong, etc Both seem to have creative hobbies that they can't fully engage in anymore, but a more science/biology (magic kind in Darius' case) related profession. Both seem to be embarassed to be engaged in something that can be seen as too silly (Camila about the Cosmic Frontier, Darius with the Catts name). As others had said, even Camila being a vet and Darius being best friends/sibling with Eber is a funny connection to explore. None of these involve Hunter at all.

And especially ironic when it's fans who ship Darius with Alador or even Graye(🤢) act like darimila is bad when there is a more widespread problem with those shippers treating Darius terribly, as an one-dimensional comfort provider if not a walking sex toy. (I am not that familiar with Camila's ships, except ramila, of course) Even with Raine, as much as i love Darius's and Raine's interactions, there is a problem when most fanworks only focus on them when they give each other relationship advice rather than on their actual friendship, and Darius still often ends up as only a comfort provider. Meanwhile from what i've seen most fans who liked darimila or wanted to see them as good friends seemed to understand and care about both characters.

And twice ironic when fans of Darius x prev GG as a romantic relationship call darimila disgusting. Like, sure, there is a possibility that a word of god might make romantic darimila an insensitive ship, but... there is even a bigger possiblity that new lore info would make the ship with the prev GG just outright creepy. Yet only darimila gets an intense preemtive backlash.

And this extends to the platonic relationship because fans are really intense on making them into rivals because of Hunter (this time it's of course ok to make everything about Hunter/sarcasm) while this doesn't really happen with other relationships. And i dont have a problem when characters who are good people dislike each other and don't understand each other, but it's clear when there are double standarts in the fandom. The fans say that their personality would clash? But Camila's and Eda's personalities only clash when fandom uses this to hate on Camila and paint her as less progressive. Camila "doesn't know whether she would be able to forgive Darius for how he had treated Hunter"? But she won't be horrified by how Eda had been raising and treating King?

Ultimately it's not about shipping it's about the way characters of color and their relationships of all kinds are treated compared to white characters.

Team RWBY's refusal to ask questions about the EA is even more frustrating when you contrast it with volume 6. Like these are the characters who were willing to violate Ozpin's privacy just because his secrets *might* have included info relevant to them (but they didn't know that for sure). But in V9, when faced with stuff that is *directly related* to the Gods and Magic, while Salem has most of the keys she needs to end the world, full worst-case scenario, NOW they're not demanding answers???

I think that difference really highlights how secrecy is what motivates the group in Volume 6, rather than self-preservation. Yang doesn't actually care about the danger carrying the Relic around may cause because, if she did, she would have been equally upset at Ruby choosing to carry it around Atlas. Rather, she's upset that Ozpin withheld that information from them. As you point out, they don't know going in whether understanding a) how the Lamp works and b) what Jinn has to say is truly relevant to their part (key words there) in the fight, but because Ozpin is, again, withholding that information, now they have to have it. Which on a purely human level I get because hell, who likes learning that they're out of the loop, particularly when it comes to apocalyptically relevant info?? But as has been pointed out extensively, that knee-jerk displeasure is undermined by considerations like how many secrets the girls have kept across the series, Ozpin's personal history/trauma, the danger that comes with more and more people having access to such information (as they just saw with Lionheart), and the maturity with which the girls want to be treated. Sometimes being an adult isn't having all the insider knowledge; sometimes it's learning the importance of accepting "No" as an answer.

In constrast, the girls are rarely shown to be intrinsically motivated in later Volumes. Volumes 1-3, and even Volume 4, are a different matter because back then they were asking basic questions (what's this White Fang group up to?) and taking action to discover things for themselves (something is going on at Mountain Glenn, let's figure out what!). Now, the girls not only demand the information that is explicitly positioned as a secret (they demand it BECAUSE it's secret), but otherwise do nothing to further their/others' understanding of important situations. Why would they politely bother to ask Ozpin anything now that everyone is getting along again (or wait until the very last second to learn something, i.e. how the Staff works)? Why would Ruby bother to have more than one conversation with Maria about her eyes? Why should Yang hear anything about their mother from Qrow? Why would they share the information with Ironwood when he's bending over backwards to be upfront with them? Why would they work to establish new allies rather than continually fighting them? Why bother to ask ANYTHING Salem related in the Ever After? Hell, I don't actually think this is a good idea because it would result in Jaune saving the day off screen, but it is wild to me that the girls not only spent all that time there, but he spent a lifetime in the EA and never took a few weeks to start hunting down Salem options on the off chance he got back...

It's not just the meltdown, it's the specificity of their rescue of aeng-du and the kind of lore we're getting.

dante is instructed to extract someone for information.

dante comes across aeng-du and identifies her as the person they need based on "gut feeling". they do reason that the basis is of their feeling is because of how the company tends to set them up, so the way my thoughts switch hard on this was a conspiracy theorist brain pretzel. My thinking is that they identified her because she was a book in the library, and it's why Dante specifically should be the one to pick her up.

aeng-du explains 2 things: the library and the location of kim. because limbus company already had information on kim, they wanted her extracted to get a firsthand account of the library.

iori was the one who suggested the distortion-centric fixer company, yet she is presumably the one who sent those people to kill dante, the presumed manager of a division of that very company. what gives? (my previous theory was that they stole a branch from her. <- LOL)

until this point it was kind of self-evident that the branch is giving dante freaky spacetime powers due to direct access to the Light. but we witness dante having a full-on meltdown. One thing that stuck out to me is the mundanity of it. The cast has either an intimate or a superficial understanding of everything Dante is saying. So why is it important? It isn't a crazy word slurry.

It sounds like they're reciting an eroded text.

And finally, the end of the story update, Vergilius mentions offhand that he himself is waiting for the lore drop; he is depending purely on Faust, who seems singularly responsible for the LCB, and what info she's deigning to give.

Overall, the update was about the mechanics of Limbus Company, from Acquisitions to After to Distortions, and what they prioritize; Distortions and information on the Library, which is the cause of distortions.

Conclusion?

Dante is a construct made by Angela. Constructs cannot leave the Library, but they are being artificially sustained by the Light present within the branch. They're a construct of a separate person, and the facsimile deteriorated due to the improper use of ■■■. The rewinding death function is also the core gameplay loop of Ruina; Dante is using that same process on their own crew. They resemble the Outskirts clock monsters intentionally; Faust - who is dropping anvil sized hints about being an ex-lobcorp employee - is a Librarian, and witnessed these monsters personally. Iori doesn't want Dante doing anything too crazy because they aren't real; there are not a wide array of universes where they exist. She would know them exclusively in terms of the purpose they were built for. This significantly thins the avenues of attack, and Vergilius would put a lot of faith in that, even if he's never been told why the fuck Dante is a free radical and is kind of annoyed and confused this is who he's working with.

I don't think this is a theory that explains everything, or even most things; who was Dante made out of (carmen without a doubt funniest possible option), what is ■■■ (may be library/도서관), what is the "aspect" Dante is trying to carve, how this helps the library, all of that is very ????. But isn't the tension delicious when you think about it that way.

Allow me to explain, and I guess spill my organs just a bit- just a WEE bit! So, given only two people on this forsaken website actually know about my personal life and was there to watch it happen I have a bit of explaining to do- so, where do I start... Hm, how's about middle school! Middle school, ah, how lovely- cutting out how much I was relentlessly bullied middle school was my first exposure to this kind of unhealthy relationship that I've unfortunately grown so accustomed to. Long story short I was forced into a relationship, got extremely emotionally attached only to be abandoned and have the things I love most stolen- then people spread rumors about me and blah blah blah I was bullied in middle school and people did not stop that's the short of it!

But then it kept happening.

Each relationship was progressively worse I, being the dumbass I am, only grew more and more dependant on these people who would hurt me, desprate for the approval of people who looked down at me with nothing but hate in their eyes. Starting to see a similarity? Anyways skip to freshman year! 

Highschool! How bad could it be?? Not worse then middle school that's for sure! And believe it or not- I think I'm that loser who peaks in highschool-BUT the reason I bring this up is because of my most recent experience with an abusive relationship I could not get out of.

At the time I was 14, Michael was 17- he guilt tripped me into dating him, used me for what he wanted and smothered me with 'love' if you could even call it that and at some point in this endless loop of hell he turned 18 while I was still 14- a lot more happened in that relationship but the important part is that this is when I hit an all time low and I didn't mention this but I have always been big on cannibalism metophors- and this is around when those cannibalism metophors stopped being uhhh, metophors let's say! 

Yeah things got real bad but I managed to crawl away mostly unharmed-

0:41- nothing to note other that these pink orbs are balloons :)

0:47-0:49- Kanata and Hinata are sharing a table. If you look closely, you can see both Hinata and Kanata have food in their bowls, even though the former is a plush and therefore, cannot eat (most likely meaning is Kanata lying to himself about Hinata sentience, although this could mean that his parent[s] are again, playing along with Kanata's behavior, pretending along with him that Hinata's alive and everything is fine). The image (besides the paintings in the background, the apples in the serving dish [idk how else to describe it] and Hinata) is actually mirrored, you can tell by looking at the tables you can see in the corners of the foreground and the serving dish. The flooring has the missing texture used in video games. To quote some dude on Quora that appeared first on Google search results:"The colors purple and black are meant to stand out to the creators to get attention of them to fix it" This means that Kanata treating Hinata like a person is getting him attention. However, nobody, in his family at least, is doing the "fixing" (helping him move on) part and turning a blind eye to the issue.

Finally, we see a large family gathering displayed on the center of the wall, but Kanata and Hinata are alone, sitting at a much smaller table. He's presumably at the kid's table, far away from his other family members, both emotionally and physically. In Kanata's eyes, nothing is more important than Hinata, and his parent(s) take no issue with this. (also said painting may or may not be referenced from the famous Christian painting "The Last Supper", since the other paintings are clearly referencing royalty-free Victorian paintings.)

0:53- You can see Lion (another character) being represented by an actual lion plush next to Kanata at the top.

Add-on 1- from 1:10 through 1:14, you see Kanata playing with Hinata with unopened presents surrounding him. This has a nice double (quadruple?) meaning. Of course, the first one is that Kanata is only really concerned about Hinata and nothing else is important to him, but also the presents could represent all of the people in his life who love him, and yet Kanata either ignores (that's why their unopened) and/or annoy. But kanata can always open the presents up (start having connections to other people than Hinata) but chooses not to because just having Hinata is easier than stepping out of his comfort zone. The gifts could also symbolize the truth, so Kanata wraps it up in a bow and ignores it (stay in denial about Hinata; everything is fine, Hinata is still with him.) The final reading I could think up is that the gifts could be a metaphor for embryo eggs, and Kanata was the only child of his parents to be successfully birthed without dying in utero along the way.

Add-on 2- At 1:29, at just the right time, you can see this (The text translates to "Stop, right now")

Misc/transitory scenes- you can see a mouth screaming. According to some JPN maigoen fans, it's saying "No, stop that!". It might also be screaming in labor (giving birth), which if you know abt maigoen's plot.... yeah.

Misc/multiple scenes- you can see crosses in the background on top of a mansion (I think? it looks too fancy and big to be a house.) This could mean that Kanata's family has a history of miscarriages/ stillbirths and Kanata was a successful attempt in a sea of failed pregnancies, since crosses are usually placed atop of graves.

Misc/multiple scenes- Okay it might be just me but when Kanata is placed in front of the ferris wheel, it kinda looks like a halo? Since halos can symbolize sacredness, maybe this is metaphorical way of showing why Kanata acts the way he does, at least a part, is because his caretaker(s) don't correct his behavior, since they see him as "a little saint who could do no wrong" (could also explain the mansion, his parent[s] spoil him rotten with affection. Him being the parent[s] only child who didn't die during/quickly after birth likely is the main reason for this)

Misc/multiple scenes- a censor box is placed in front of Kanata's eyes, which is way of showing that someone is presumed/ is dead. (might be Kanata and co. labeled as an unsolved missing person case since they went into Uropia that fateful day.)

IWTV S2 Ep3 - Armand as Unreliable Narrator

I'm seeing a lot of posts defending AMC!Armand against fans thinking he's lying or untrustworthy or something. I've seen people point out valid things like AMC's deliberate twisting / reckless disregard of book canon; to bad takes stemming from shipping wars; to personal preferences & biases.

My reservations against AMC!Armand go all the way back to S1, when we saw those floating bookshelves and sliced pages in Claudia's diary. I've long since been of the suspicion that Armand's not necessarily forcing Louis against his will or anything THAT nefarious; but that he's definitely been taking advantage of Louis' need for someone to help stop him from going off the deep end--and more importantly, that he's been taking more than his fair share of autonomy over things Louis does/doesn't have access to--specifically: information/knowledge.

For me, GABRIELLE'S absence is the most telling red flag. Cuz the writers know good & well that they want S3/TVL; Rolin never shuts up about it. It's not that AMC isn't doing the books so we don't need to expect it to be 1:1--it's that THEY ARE doing the books! They're planting seeds through deliberate misdirection & omission.

Gab's arguably the most important/impactful person in Lestat's life b4 he meets Louis. She's Les' very first fledgling. She's there when Armand kidnaps Nicki; she's there when Alessandra explains the Devil's Road for the first time (a scene AMC was obvs inspired by with Daciana in 2x1); she's there when Les leaves the Theatre; she's everywhere.

And what's more:

Armand hates Gabrielle's GUTS.

Gabrielle's "useless" to Armand, but she was EVERYTHING to Les, and most of his emotional damage & abandonment issues come from her. Armand KNEW to weaponize Magnus' suicide & Gab's lackluster treatment of child!Les as the best way to seduce him!

Armand, like Claudia, is DESPERATE for someone to want & need him as their #1.

Louis is pretty good for this--if only he'd hurry up & get over Lestat (& Claudia) already.

In the book!IWTV/TVA, Armand dumped Louis when Lou gave up on being happy & got way too depressed for Armand to help him anymore. But Armand really wanted Lestat. Cuz Lestat is CLINGY--he doesn't pack & up leave (ie: give up) without a DARN good reason--and it's mighty sus that Armand didn't mention that Les & Gab left him to look for HIS MAKER, MARIUS, cuz Armand didn't know ISH, and doubted Marius was still alive--cuz if he was still alive, why had ARMAND been ABANDONED BY MARIUS for all those centuries, left for dead with the Children of Darkness/Satan? 👀💔

Lestat is a carbon copy of Marius, down to the blonde hair, blue eyes, and red velvet. Armand's Louis' rebound of Lestat, but Lestat's Armand's rebound of Marius.

Louis is not the only vampire who lives in a constant state of denial/delusion, running from his fears. They are both exact opposites of Lestat, who confronts his fears head-on.

I'm becoming increasingly convinced that if Lestat IS asleep in the penthouse, Louis doesn't know--or he doesn't have all the correct info. Cuz Armand's been isolating Louis this whole time in their weird cage/penthouse, with its jail bars and floating bookcases. He is ACTIVELY AGAINST this entire interview; and he encourages any & all contradictory talk of Lestat being "dead"--

--so it makes sense that he wouldn't want Louis to know anything about Gabrielle, as that would be someone who KNOWS Lestat, and would probably know where to find him (IF he's not comatose in the penthouse somewhere).

So for Armand to leave Gab out and make it seem like Mama's Boy Lestat was this cavalier playboy who cared about nothing & no one but himself (as per Louis' words to Daniel) just smacks of a highly slanted angle, that even LOUIS is ignorant of--I don't think AMC!Louis knows anything about Gabrielle's existence whatsoever. 👀 Yes, "Lestat never told me ish!;" but clearly ARMAND never told him the whole story, either. 😬🤫🤐

Then, there's Nickistat....

Plenty of interviews/reviewers already said Armand's petty, so I'm not surprised that the Nicki info doesn't add up. First off, it's a great way to garner sympathy from Louis, and create a connection, and act as an effective stimulus for Louis' own unpleasant experiences being cucked by Lestat. If Armand can convince Louis that Lestat did to Louis what Lestat did to Nicki, it just makes Lestat look worse; legitimizing why Loumand is oh-so-much-better; which they're actively tryna pitch to Daniel.

But it's a risky gamble though, cuz it also puts Armand in the same spot as Antoinette--and we see how that went. 😬💀🔥 Only this time it won't be Armand who ends up in flames, but Louis, if AMC pulls a Merrick.

It helps that "Lestat never told him ish," either, cuz Louis CLEARLY has no idea that Nicki died--AND HOW. Lestat admitted that he & Nicki "parted ways," but if that's all Louis knows, then ofc Armand can tack on that Nicki was abandoned & hung out to dry--that Lestat was giving Armand money through Roget, not NICKI; that the Theatre was Nicki's, NOT Armand's--and neatly omit everything about what really happened: that Nicki was mentally insane, thoroughly hated & resented Lestat by that point, and was eventually tortured & killed BY ARMAND and his coven when THEY couldn't handle him anymore--a la PAUL'S treatment by the DPDLs.

Armand NEEDS to come across as sympathetically as possible; otherwise he loses Louis AND Daniel to this interview--only this time he won't be the one sitting back letting it happen.

For me, Armand's unreliable not cuz cuz I hate him--on the contrary, I've said 1000 times that he's my fave character in TVC; and Assad's doing an excellent job with him so far. But I don't trust him cuz I KNOW HIM--the fandom calls him a GREMLIN for a reason. I know the stunts he pulled in TVL (telling Daniel the Children of Darkness/Satan killed themselves, when in the book Armand killed them all (except for Eleni, Felix, and like 2 others IDER--they're all Rhoshamandes' fledglings IIRC). He's reduced Nicki's role significantly; making him seem like some desperate twink, while not mentioning how Nicki was half mad before Armand chopped his hands off & forced him to kill himself when he couldn't play violin anymore.

Armand is a MENACE in the early books, and he was originally supposed to be a main TVC villain before Anne Rice realized how much she liked him in QotD and toned him TF down--same way she did with Lestat's transition from IWTV to TVL.

THAT'S why Armand is both lovable/likable and also SUS AF. At least for me. I can't speak for other fans, ofc, cuz I know some folks approach Armand from totally different angles.

She is from One Piece! A she's without question my favorite Strawhat pirate (Sanji being a very very close second), and there is so much I have to say about her but none that I can really say without spoiling pretty large chunks of Alabasta/Skypiea/Water 7/Enies Lobby. So Mads, if you have any intention of ever reading/watching One Piece (which I highly reccomend because GAH) then warning that under the cut are lots and lots of spoilers

And if you do stop here, then here's me officially accepting your blorbo shouting invitation apology gift--I missed you on my dash and in my inbox :)

The first time we meet Robin, it's as a villain--Miss All Sunday, the partner of the Alabasta saga's primary antagonist, Crocoldile. While it's made clear she's working with Crocodile, her motives are purposely unclear and foggy. She offers to help the Strawhats at first by giving them an Eternal Pose to Alabasta so they can bypass the first island on their course, which is full of dinosaurs and giants. They refuse it, assuming it's a trap, and go to Little Garden anyway.

The next time we see her is in Alabasta, where she spends most of the arc in the background assisting Crocodile with all of his evil plans, until near the very end of the arc where she forces the king to show her to the kingdom's secret hidden Poneglyph. He takes her underground, and we learn here that Robin is the only person in the world that knows how to read the ancient language written on these giant stone cubes, and that when put altogether, the Poneglyphs are thought to hold the truth about a time in history that's been completely erased from the records. There's just a whole hundred year period that's been totally erased, and anybody who tries to research into it is branded a criminal by the World Government and usually hunted down and killed for it.

This particular Poneglyph is not the one she's been looking for though, and after lying to Crocodile about what it says, she's betrayed and stabbed and left for dead. She says here that this was her last hope to discover the truth, and now that it's not turned out she has nothing left to live for, so she planned on staying in this underground temple and letting herself die when it collapses. Now enter--

THIS lovable fool :)

This is Luffy :) and chances are you've seen him before even if you have literally never watched anime ever. He's maybe one of the most famous anime characters of all time.

After literally kicking Crocodile through like four or five layers of bedrock, Luffy grabs both the king and Robin to save them from the collapsing tunnel. Robin tells him to leave her there, but he downright refuses and saves her anyway. After everything is over and they're leaving Alabasta, Robin reveals that she's been stowing away on their ship ever since. She says that because Luffy forced her to live when she wanted to die, then she doesn't know where else to go and asks to join their crew

From here the crew goes on an adventure into the sky (yes, you read that right, the LITERAL sky), where a lot of stuff happens but the most important part for Robin is that she discovers another Poneglyph on the island, which gives her a light of hope that she can still achieve her dream of learning the truth of that hundred year gap in history. She bonds with the crew and starts to dream again (which is integral to the overall theme of One Piece as a whole)

But then, at the end of a very silly and short arc, a certain man shows up who says he knows Robin after letting her escape from him a long time ago. He warns the Strawhats that Robin will eventually bring ruin to all of them, and of course the crew collectively tell him to fuck off. At first, it seems like he's going to let them go without a fight, but last minute he changes his mind and attacks Robin, freezing her solid. The rest of the crew jump to her defense, but all of the crew's fighters are easily overpowered, including Luffy. They save Robin anyway, without even questioning anything the guy said to them, which gives us one of my favorite panels because there is SO much to this one little page; she's finally felt love after all this time, but she also knows just how much danger she's putting them in now

And then we go to Water 7, where things take a MASSIVE turn. The goal here was to get their ship repaired (because it turns out taking a ship into the sky isn't great for keeping that ship intact), so while one group goes to take care of that, Robin goes shopping with Chopper and it seems fine at first but then we get a scene of a mysterious figure in a mask cornering her on the street, and then she disappears. We don't see her for a while, and then it's suddenly revealed that the mayor of the city was shot in the middle of the night, and when he wakes up he says it was Robin who did it. This leads to a huge manhunt where the whole city is looking for the Strawhats to arrest them all, meanwhile the Strawhats are searching the city for Robin, and this is where we get another really great scene.

Sanji and Chopper are searching alone for Robin when she appears on the other side of the canal from them and tells them she won't be coming back. She specifically says to tell the others that even though she didn't deserve their kindness, she appreciates everything they did for her. She also gives one of, in my opinion, the most important lines to understanding her as a character.

I could say so much more about this particular scene, but instead I will link a really great video talking about it at length (and this same channel has a lot of really great One Piece analysis videos that I'd reccomend if you're interested)

After this, Robin shows up back to the mayor's mansion, where it's revealed that the people she's been working with are a top secret World Government assassin group known as Cipher Pol 9. She tells them that she's working with CP9 to achieve her dream, but it's later revealed that she actually agreed to work with them because they threatened to kill all of the Strawhats if she refused, so she essentially gives herself up for their safety.

A lot more stuff happens in between, but eventually CP9 takes her on the sea train to transport her to Enies Lobby and then Impel Down, the World Government's prison for the world's most dangerous criminals. Of course, Luffy and crew go after her, including Sanji who had secretly boarded the sea train prior to this. Sanji goes on a whole rampage (which is really great and one of my favorite moments in this saga lol) and eventually makes it to her car, only to get completely turned away; she tells him to go away, because she just wants to die (hint, they do not)

Some more stuff happens, and everybody arrives at Enies Lobby; from the second they get there, Luffy and crew start destroying absolutely everything and demanding to see Robin again, but then we get probably my favorite moment of anything ever when Luffy and the crew finally get to see her at the top of the stairs to the building; Luffy yells at her to tell him she really wants to live, and they'll do absolutely everything they can to save her, and finally-FINALLY-Robin admits the truth, that she wants to keep living, that she wants to go back to sea with them, that she wants to achieve her dream (literally just looking at this panel has me misty eyed)

I think it's after this scene that we finally get her backstory in full: Robin was the sole survivor of something called the Ohara Incident; as a child, she was alienated from the other kids on her home island of Ohara because of her devil fruit powers, which were called creepy and unsettling (I also think this where she first gets called "demon," which is a recurring moniker). Her only company was the island's resident scholars and historians, who resided at the library for which the island was famous for; it's then revealed that the scholars of Ohara were secretly researaching the Void Century, that hundred year gap in history you're not supposed to look into under threat of assassination. Robin learns how to read the poneglyphs from them.

But because of their research, the World Government decides to eliminate the entire population of Ohara. Robin only manages to escape with the help of three people--her mother (who was also a historian out collecting research, but came back when she found out what was going to happen to the island), a giant who was friends with her mother named Saul, and the same man who freezes her solid at the end of Long Ring Long Land--Aokiji Kuzan; Robin becomes the only (at the time) survivor of this mass genocide, and as a result the World Government gave her a bounty of 79 million berries at only eight years old

After this flashback goes the rest of what is maybe my favorite arc in the whole series, with the only real contest being Whole Cake Island (but that's an entirely separate post); it's an incredible arc with too many great moments to put to words; I'm not going to go into detail with all of it, but it's great and I love it, and in the end, the Strawhats do end up saving her (as well as the shipwright guy who kinda got pulled into this along the way on account of some blueprints for a world ending superweapon, who will become the crew's carpenter)

There's so so so much more I left out of this post btw, I didn't even cover anything post-timeskip

I also need to talk about the current manga arc, where she cuts her hair back to the same style she had as a child upon learning that Saul is actually alive

It's revealed that Saul actually lived and recruited other giants to retrieve the books that were saved from the Ohara library fire by the scholars; she and Saul get a very tearful reunion on the giants' homeland of Elbaf, and yes, I cried my goddamn eyes out at this scene

Believe it or not there's still more I could have talked about, but for the sake of everyone's sanity (and Tumblr's 10 image limit) I'm going to make myself stop here

This is a writing question more than an ask but how do you handle lore dumps???? Your AU is so full of em and you handle them so gracefully. I’m here stuck on a chapter because my MC really really needs to have Information in order to Progress, but having Character B explain it to him is so tedious??? It reads like a rant!! I want the information to flow smoothly for readers, but it needs to be given all at once because it’s Plot Relevant. Any advice is a godsend 🙏

Well, 90% of my "lore dumping" is done via conversation to some degree—whether it be one character happening to be knowledgeable during a particular situation, two characters sharing a personal discussion with each other, or round-robin getting a whole group up to speed on a subject. It just never reads as a "lore dump" because a) there's also character dynamics being dispersed amongst the information, and b) there's more to the scene than just the information itself, even if the information is still the most important part. And that's still true even if dialogue isn't your go-to method for info deliverance!

All right, here we go, spit-balling rambles here!

You can still have Character B outright explain things to the MC, but to avoid it being "ranty", the easiest thing to do would be to have the MC react to what's being said to break up the monotony with how they're feeling about it, or even questions about what's being told to them. And having the MC asking questions has the added bonus of allow different ways for Character B to offer information, instead of going through the points like a check list. Character B could respond to points the MC brings up, questions the MC had the Character B hadn't even considered, the MC mentioning something that jogs something else to mind for Character B to bring up—anything that isn't just "MC, you must know this: [word words words words]". Make sure there's a push and pull, give and take with the information, rather than, well, all push or all give—THAT is what will ultimately help with your flow.

(...though I dunno if the characters are in, like a "time crunch"/urgent situation at this point in time, hence why Character B would be divulging everything at once in a bombshell rant—but if that is the case, at least you'd have the excuse for doing so! That being said, you'd have to counterbalance this by limiting the amount of info that's being given, because otherwise that's going to make the "ranting" even more obvious and harder for a reader to get invested in gfdsgfd)

And also, assumedly, your audience is learning this information just the same as your MC is—think about the questions your audience might consider about the lore too, and use the MC as a way to add those extra clarifications as well! I tend to use Kai for this a lot haha

Or, if you don't want to go the "direct" route via conversation/dialogue and want to switch it up, you could have a mention of the MC learning the info from Character B offscreen, then jump right to them either mulling over everything they've learned to themselves or someone else (flavored up by their own personal thoughts about it) or by them already putting the info into practice with some reflection throughout. This is probably a little less effective strategy for a written story than something like a movie or tv show, but if your first way isn't working out, try restructuring it like this anyway! If nothing else, you can reverse engineer what the most important bits of the info you really want the MC to take away in this instance in time (or at least what's most relevant for the moment/situation at hand), thus shortening the amount of time Character B has to spend "ranting" in the first place. Or, maybe it'll give you another idea of how to frame the information!

Also, try to give a reason for why this information is suddenly being shared right now (again, if this isn't some kind of "MC I have to tell you all this NOW before it's too laaaaate!" kind of scenario. Sure, there's always "you'll need this to progress on your quest" or the overall whatever else may be going on, but think on a smaller scale—what in the moment causes the topic to come up now?

For example –using my own story here because I wrote it and I know my own thought process lmao– Lloyd starts explaining about the Moon's Triad holiday in B2Ch41 because Acidicus comes to him with concerns for how the associated traditions are affecting the Serpentine's plans going forward. Miranda discusses how the Aftershock Ability functions to Jesse in B2Ch45 because Jesse's been trying to figure out why it happened to begin with. And Wu and Garmadon's whole discussion in B2Ch36 is mostly stuff that they both mutually know for the most part —yet is shared regardless for the audience's benefit—but to avoid falling into an "As you know" back-and-forth trap, it's also framed by Wu trying to catch up Garmadon on things he's missed, with their mutual information being used as anchoring context for Garmadon, so it's there for a character purpose as well. Basically killing two birds with a stone there.

Yet when the lore dump is large enough to warrant, like, half a chapter's worth of dedication *eyes B2Ch31*, sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet and go all-in with an outright dump for utmost clarity—but that doesn't meant you can't dress it up or have fun with it! Like, for the Elemental Compass explanation, I literally have Jesse pull out a whiteboard and marker and make everyone sit in a circle to learn sjhgffd–I make fun of the fact that I know this is going to be a big chunk of info to take in for everybody, and using some of the techniques mentioned above, I'm able to break down all my main points I want delivered all while preventing Jesse from just throwing out text blocks in an unnatural, not-fun-to-read fashion. So, that could be an approach for you too!

Ah, how to phrase this...as long as there's dynamism in the deliverance of the information, that'll save it from reading as stale. Even if at the end of the day it really is just two people standing around talking at each other (or one at the other)—if there's action and reactions, emotions, an established point of it all to begin with (as opposed to sudden information for information's sake), and that push/pull + give/take as discussed, you should be able to get your point across in a way that's entertaining for reader's just fine~

Anyway, I hope at least even a sentence of this made sense and was even minutely helpful! Good luck breaking through your block; I'm rooting for you! ^-^)/
