#why are we all getting back into DSMP

I miss when the most stressful thing in my life was worrying whether or not my comfort character in a Minecraft roleplay server lost a canon life or not

As many people have mentioned, Dream is very good about framing things to make himself sound right and other people sound unreasonable. But not a single video or post he has made so far can convince me that he is doing this with good intentions, because of the way he speaks towards everyone else involved and those he dragged in.

Now I mainly picked up on this with Tubbo and Tommy, but there are hints of it towards his viewers too: he speaks to us all like we’re children. The way a parent talks to a child they’re trying to gently reprimand, or the way a teacher talks about a subject in class. He speaks like we would never be able to come to these conclusions without his help and that he needs to guide us through it all or we’d get lost in the sea of information. And sure, plenty of his viewer base are kids, but the majority of people who would be watching this drama are fans from the Dream SMP era who knows all these people and remembers when they all used to talk and hang out. We may have been kids back then, but it’s coming up on half a decade since that server began; we’re not kids anymore. I myself started watching the DSMP when I was a underclassman in high school, I’m in college now. All the people he called the R-slur, the people who were offended and wanted an apology that he took days to properly deliver, most of us are adults. We can form our own conclusions, and we’re not an amorphous blob of opinions and views, we’re our own people.

This is especially bad when talking about it to Clingyduo, especially Tubbo. In his 3 hour stream he continually talks about Tubbo being misguided, and despite saying he has great respect for Tubbo and his opinions he skips context and actual criticism multiple times or, as Tubbo mentions, tunnel visions on one part of the criticism he can target and tosses the rest out with it when he’s done. He doesn’t give two shits about what Tubbo says unless it’s something he can use against the people criticizing him to make them sound disingenuous. With Tommy it’s worse, because when he’s not villainizing him beyond belief he’s using that condescending tone to talk about how proud he is and how he thought Tommy was special, which explains why Tommy felt so much pressure from him and like he owed him his success, or at least that Dream thought as much. He holds his approval over his head, like an abusive parent who just spent hours screaming in your face about how much of a disappointment you are before telling them “Of course I still love you.” It has the underlying tone of “you’ll make up for this slight, won’t you?”

And don’t even get me started about the DMs to both Tommy and Sarah. It’s fine to explain your feelings, but you’re not explaining them, you are blaming these feelings and reactions on them and telling them “You are the reason I’ve been suffering, it’s your fault for all of these horrible things that other people have been doing to me.” That’s not explaining your feelings, that’s guilt tripping and expecting an apology. That’s how long texts like that come across, that you don’t want the other person to be able to interject, you don’t want to make this a conversation, you want to drop your feelings and leave them to clean up the mess.

Dream’s a manipulative jerk, that’s all this has proved to me.

I will say, on my main, @isa-ghost, I've reblogged a ton of liveblogging stuff that kind of gives you context in detail? But in reverse order because, yknow, that's how reblog chronology works or whatever.

This don't stop the party edit is a good tldr of the beginning of it all but you gotta pause to really read it so I'm gonna summarize via bullet points too.

XQC (shitty Canadian Kick streamer, misogynist and flaunts his money at every turn) met Trump, wearing a Trump shirt. Is a fanboy of his clearly. Is not the first streamer to do this, esp on Kick

Tommy quote rts his pic of him meeting Trump like "its hard to be more cringe than TommyInnit but you did it"

XQC clapped back saying Tommy went from dickriding Dr*m to making jokes to 17 year old girls irl (which is sexist to say but I digress)

Dr*m gets involved for some fuckign reason (he wants attention that's why) and makes a meme calling all dsmp stans (he later claims he meant inniters specifically) the r slur

Shit BLOWS UP obviously because he called 15 million people a slur in a derogatory way. Makes SO MANY excuses that don't work ofc. Later deletes all his tweets abt it, but prior to doing so he TRIPLED DOWN ON USING THE R SLUR. Tried to excuse it with "I'm autistic" (which personally idk if I believe bc he's such a fucking liar but I also don't follow Dr*m obv so if he posted abt the diagnosis then. Whatever. Anyway)

Tommy, Tubbo, Jack, Sneeg, and so so so many other CCs now have been ripping him apart for the last 48 hours. Tubbo has dissected everything he's said on Twitter and a Reddit post he made yesterday

Last night at like midnight to 3am his time, Dr*m goes live and dissects Tubbo's vod of him dissecting Dr*m's shit and Dr*m GENUINELY CRASHES OUT for 3 FUCKING HOURS, most of which was him projecting on Tommy hardcore and lying and manipulating AS USUAL. If you care enough, I'd watch Tubbo's vod. OR you can probably find a summary somewhere but it's. A lot.

Tubbo went live at 10am CST today dissecting Dr*m's crashout, which lasted FOUR FUCKING HOURS. He was meant to talk to Dr*m directly on stream today but then--

Tommy posted a 5 min vid clapping back very concisely so Dr*m is in the process of making a response vid, therefore he canceled his chat with Tubbo.

Quackity tweeted he would be going live because during Dr*m's crashout he name dropped SEVERAL ex-dsmp members and other people such as Ludwig, a6d, the girl GNF assaulted, Gumball's VA. The list goes on. However, idk for sure if Quackity is gonna talk abt this, all he tweeted was "going live later" basically.

47 MCYT CCs were tuned in to Tubbo's dissection stream today at one point or another. I haven't seen MCYT this united since we all ousted W*lbur for abusing Shelby Shubble (you said you haven't been around since the dsmp finale so idk how much abt that you know. It happened in late Feb last year)

Oh boy, I have a ton of cTechno thoughts all the time, but I feel like I'm bad at pulling them out randomly unless people want to ask/hear about anything specific (which, for the record, I very much embrace; I love cTechno lore questions)

HOWEVER, you're in luck today. Because I did have thoughts this morning!

Specifically, I am thinking once again about cTechno's conversation with cTubbo about the Red Festival during their Saving Michael stream.

Techno's situation during the Red Festival is kind of interesting to me because we know it is a fight Techno would have lost, and thus he decided not to engage with it. We see this as a returning character trait. Techno isn't only a good fighter, he's a smart fighter. He's not reckless.

That is to say, cTechno and ccTechno have both confirmed that in the case of the Red Festival, Techno pulled the trigger on Tubbo (AFTER trying to get out of the situation, dissuade Schlatt of the entire affair, and stall for time so their allies could come help, none of which worked) because he knew that if he refused, then he'd be entering a fight he could not win. He would not have been able to keep Tubbo and himself safe against a crowd of armored and armed people, especially as Tubbo was completely without weapons and armor. The most likely outcome would have been for them both to just be killed anyway, or maybe if they're lucky for one of them to die and the other escape.

And Techno only has one life.

Now, a few characters (mainly cTommy) do believe Techno could have fought his way out of that situation easy-peasy. The problem is that Tommy is in this case wrong. Again, both cTechno and ccTechno confirmed he could not have won, and in fact, we see that Techno's health dropped significantly and he almost died, leaving him to flee, and that is after shooting Tubbo. So yeah, no way would he have made it out with both of their lives intact. (Sadly, some of the fandom also decided to take Tommy's word for it despite cTommy being extremely wrong in this case but that's another post)

Here's why I'm talking about all this. During the Saving Michael stream, Techno apologizes to Tubbo about the events of the Red Festival, but these are the exact words he uses:

"I should have been willing to die for my beliefs back then"

This line still drives me up the wall and makes me chew the isolation /pos. Techno isn't saying he would have survived the Red Festival. He's not saying that he lied about being able to win that fight. HE'S SAYING HE SHOULD HAVE TRIED ANYWAY EVEN IF IT KILLS HIM.

And this comes literally minutes after he admits he only has one life.

Techno's 'belief' in this case is in reference to anarchy, obviously. I could write full dissertations about how Techno's understanding of the concept that is anarchy evolves to be more nuanced and complex throughout the dsmp, and how it is one of my favorite arcs, and why it makes him such a compelling character, but the main point for this post is that Techno got others involved in his cause.

Anarchy is not just Techno's thing anymore. It's the Syndicate's thing. Techno's friends. And one of Techno's defying character traits is that while he's not reckless, he's very much willing to put himself in danger for his friends. So now he feels that he should have put himself in harm's way during the Red Festival because that's what he would do now, after his character development.

He's not apologizing for being unable to save Tubbo - because he still doesn't think he'd be able to, and he's probably right about that. He's apologizing because he has one life and he was unwilling to sacrifice it. But now he is.

Honestly though like if you're following Philza you should get used to the fact that since the dawn of him streaming RP people have violently disliked his reaction to any angst beats because like, the cc finds angst rp funny and is also a very giggly guy. And if you're here for drama and tragedy it looks like he's not taking the pain seriously, which is obviously going to be something you don't like seeing. Trust me. We have been here before. I have watched DSMP. There were people saying he didn't take Techno's IRL death seriously enough because he was positive on stream. Like, this is top five things people get mad at cc!phil and his characters for, after "breaks the fourth wall" and "is an imperfect person/parent" and "idk his vibes just grate and I read them as Bad y'know".

I personally think that like the fact that he was repeatedly saying to the eggs that they were gonna get Tubbo back, they'll bring him back with the create wrench cause he cares about create, don't worry it'll all be okay; that was all evidence that the character does care about Tubbo and for heaven's sake, if you want angst, read that as denial and you're fully comfortably in one of the recognized stages of grieving. I was making jokes the day people in my life died, this is also one of the ways people deal with loss. But I also see why that's a POV clash if you wanted a more straightforward depiction of grief and angst? Phil was pretty far from being in tears, which is what some people think was warranted. So like, sure, if you've been watching a specific perspective, Phil's reaction was trivializing. I can see that perspective as well.

It is not fun to see someone calling your POV "vile" and "heartless" and "too selfish to consider other people" and the other delightful stuff that I just saw on a scroll through the tag, but like, that's just POV clash, you gotta let people have their own opinions and block the neg tags and maybe block people who are being really loud. Sincerely, it does nobody any good to go beefing about people being mean about your favourite cubito. Post careful lore exploration on your own blog if you want but doing replies, sending anons, all of that is the way down which A Bad Time lies. Sincerely like, this has happened before, this will happen again, just go listen to good music or something and ignore it.

I genuinely intend to remain reinforcing that Phil Does Not Want To Do Lore On The Realm because I don't want the community's pushing to send him to the point of never doing anything like it again (I've seen this lowkey happen before in other fandoms).

BUT...

I see such a clear pipeline from trPhil's "no fuck you go away I'm burying previous trauma and pain in logging obsessively" to some sort of "fine, I admit I'm miserable because I lost family and friends AGAIN, and I will begrudgingly try soothing it with letting people in my bubble again" type surrender moment brought on by trSneeg because he's so persuasive and makes excellent points with pure logic and reason and the idea makes me salivate.

Obviously it's all 100% ooc jokes and even if it WAS intentional rp, we have no guarantee that trPhil is "main" (specifically q) Phil, but technically trPhil HAS vaguely opened up to trSneeg about the grief and scars he has in the wake of losing his children. trSneeg knows trPhil is bitter and still grieving. He can see that logging, no matter what trPhil insists, is Not helping him actually heal. It's just barely letting him cope.

It's the same old tricks rpPhil has always turned to to deal with baggage, immersing himself as much as he can in physical labor of some kind. His projects back home in Hardcore, the "trains in his basement" in DSMP after he had to kill his own son, all the building and looting and protesting he did on QSMP any time the kids were taken away from him.

And I think we've seen more than enough evidence to show that trSneeg could 100% keep his cool through all the stubborn and heated refusal trPhil would meet with his attempts to convince him to just be willing to socialize and invest in people again. Not even to join Yellow, just let himself have meaningful connections again, rather than sticking to tolerating his and trFit's presences (most of the time). Even though trPhil's evasive behavior has been reinforced (probably tenfold) after The Keepers assaulted him and destroyed his wings AGAIN, I think with the tenacity and confidence trSneeg exudes, he could slowly eventually coax trPhil into opening up again. Even if just a tiny bit.

Especially because he sees why trPhil is so adamant on sticking to his guns rn, he knows it's not JUST the factions and snails. He'd see it even if trPhil hadn't straight up told him multiple times already. Right away, trSneeg would make it very clear that trPhil would have no obligations to anyone or anything, that socializing doesn't mean he HAS to save people from the peril they face or take a side in the interpersonal conflicts they have or help them all figure out what the deal is with the eyes or the Keepers or anything else.

He doesn't have to put up with a snail that reminds him of his lost kids, he doesn't have to choose a side like it's Purgatory again, he doesn't have to get involved with the horrors people are going through like he often did with the islanders, he doesn't have to help solve/understand whatever is going on in The Realm like he did with The Federation and The Codes and everything else fucked up and strange on Quesadilla Island. If having friends is all he wants, he can have that.

And even if trSneeg STILL couldn't sway trPhil with All That, that would mean we'd get a gut-wrenching storyline about how after so many years of loving and losing again and again throughout his immortal life, rpPhil knows that pain is a part of love whether you want it to be or not, you can't have one without the other. He can't make connections here without signing up for the stress and pain that comes with it because that's what it means to care about people.

It's not just the most recent time putting him off from it all, it's an entire cycle he's been forced to suffer in for as long as he can remember, because that's what being immortal entails. He wants the cycle to end already. He can't stand being fully alone right now whether he admits it or not thanks to QI. His determination to isolate himself as much as he can while he's in The Realm is to slowly reacclimate himself to being alone so he can tolerate it in his home world again. When the loneliness gets unbearable, that's when he has no qualms with being pestered by people or goes to see what everyone else is up to. As that happens less over time, he'll go home again now that complete isolation doesn't hurt anymore (or more accurately: now that he's reconvinced himself it doesn't).

All of this is to say, trSneeg is 100% the guy that would break the ice under trPhil and get his story rolling, whether that means he embraces the pain of loving and caring again, or reinforces how hellbent he is on trying to escape it.

Dream was pushing a wheelbarrow of hay when he felt the warning signs of a seizure.

Philza called it the "aura" of the seizure-- the numbness, mild twitching, and fuzz that gathered at the edge of his vision before the stronger spasms hit. Dream thought it was a stupid fucking name. "Aura" made it sound like something spiritual and magical rather than what it was: an inconvenience. He just seized yesterday. They usually came in bursts, but this was getting ridiculous.

Techno was loading hay into the sheep's feeder, and Dream was bringing him more. Trying to bring him more. They were already behind on their chores because his body was so uncooperative, and the thought of causing even more trouble made red rise to his face, even despite the chilly air that bit at him. Techno and Philza made him swear to announce if he ever felt the aura, but...

He abandoned the wheelbarrow and dragged his body to the goat pen, where the wall was just tall enough to hide him when he dropped to the floor. His thigh muscles twitched and he couldn't feel his fingers beneath his gloves. If he could just withstand the worst of it, he could go back to the wheelbarrow and pretend nothing happened. He would not be an inconvenience again.

His left elbow twitched backwards and hit the wall with a thud. He moved away from it a few inches. With any luck, Techno wouldn't notice the wheelbarrow standing alone in the middle of the barn.

The spasms spread to his left shoulder, and it tensed until he could hardly handle the pain, his arm straightening against his will--

"Dream?" he heard Techno say--

and when he next knew it, he was in the cabin, stripped of his jacket and gloves, but still comfortingly warm.

"-- there." Phil's voice became clearer and less muffled. As his eyes focused, Dream could make out the worried expression on his face. He felt a towel rub at his chin, whipping away a trail of spit. "There you are. You're alright, love, relax."

Dream managed a pained grunt. His whole body ached. He felt he might drop from exhaustion before he realized he was already laying down, on the floor of the living room with the fireplace nearby. The light from the flame flickered at the side of his vision, and he felt he might vomit.

"You're okay, you're okay. That might've been the worst one yet, mate."

Dream realized, distantly, that he was grabbing the edge of Phil's sleeve. He was usually conscious during seizures-- the gap in his memory was frightening.

Techno came into focus as he knelt by Phil's side, holding something in his hands. Another towel, maybe, or a blanket. "He was hidin' from me, Phil."

"What?"

With a pang of guilt, Dream met Phil's eyes, hoping his expression conveyed his apology even if he couldn't find his voice.

"He was hidin' behind the goat pen. He said he'd get more hay and he just left the wheelbarrow and hid."

Phil had something akin to legitimate fear on his face. His brows were furrowed, his skin paled. He searched Dream's face for several long moments before pulling him into a tight embrace.

"Why wouldn't you tell us?"

When the embrace tightened, Dream realized that Techno also wrapped his arms around the two of them, his size making it a simple task.

"I-- I thought--" He scanned his half-scrambled thoughts for an excuse. A lie. Anything that might be acceptable. He found nothing. "We were already behind--"

Offended, both Techno and Phil spoke at the same time. Phil said something like "We have all the time in the world," while Techno, frustration clear in his voice, said "Dude, the sheep can wait! It's not worth it!"

Phil pulled away and looked Dream in the face, a newfound determination on his face. "You were supposed to tell us if you felt it start."

"I know," Dream said.

Phil sighed. Wiped a strand of hair out of Dream's face. "Alright. If I can't trust you to alert us, you'll be spending your nights with one of us. Or both of us. No more sleeping alone-- we can't risk it. Am I clear?"

Techno nodded in firm agreement with his partner. Dream nodded in turn, knowing better than to fight their decision.

The guest room of the cabins, despite holding most of Dream's belongings, was empty at night. They no longer lit candles, no longer kept the door closed so it would heat faster, and no longer bothered washing the sheets. It was never occupied, after all. Dream spent his nights in either Techno or Philza's bed-- usually both of them-- pressed against the warm skin of an immortal who would wake at the slightest thrashing and sacrifice anything to keep him safe. Including, it seemed, Dream's own privacy.

He would admit that the warmth of extra bodies was comfortable.

In conclusion, Technoblade is good at calming people down without even trying (I was literally having a breakdown and all I needed to do was listen to the silly pig man talk about Greek mythology. It must all be part of his master plan…)

Speaking of listening to his voice, here’s a scenario.

“Technoblade, can you read to me?”

“…what?”

“Read to me.”

“I’m not reading you a bedtime stor-“

“I wanted you to tell me about Greek mythology.”

“Fine. Come here.”

Long story short, he starts by reading you just one story. That one story turns into the entire history of the Greek gods and goddesses… yeah you pass out pretty quickly. But Technoblade isn’t one to stop mid-ramble. Once he notices you’re asleep, he’ll continue talking, just quieter. He’ll eventually get sleepy himself, and soon enough… you’re both asleep.

Needs to be said

Alright so,

I'm not fully back I want to finish some things before I do.

But I want to say this and set a bit of I guess... rules- Not really the word I want to use but I'm going to.

I am fully done with the MCYT community/fandom

And by that I mean I am no longer interacting with the fandom other than certain community's in Tumblr.

I will still post Minecraft stuff (hermitcraft, life series, empires) because I want to. I'm not having the fandom ruin what I enjoy.

Yes. I know the Skizz situation, I have talked about the Skizz situation. But he apologized and owned up to it and also HE HAS QUEER FRIENDS. And also considering people in my area have been JUMPED and KILLED for showing their views, I can understand why he did not say it live. And no I will not bring up the mods because he hired those mods about 5 years ago for their work not their views. They work for free and it's not simple firing someone than hiring 2 new people over night. Yes, I have read what they said on twitter but I dare someone to bring up one good person on Twitter. Oh you did? Let me search up that person I bet I can find any dirt on them cause that's what the internet is. You guys only bring it up now to hate. I know how you work.

Don't bring up how easy it was for Jimmy to say it, HE ISN'T AMERICAN! I know people WHO WERE KILLED for having a pride flag in America. IT IS DANGEROUS.

I am still a skizz fan until he does something arrest worthy.

Then some other things happened while I was away.

Opened up Tiktok to find out Lizzie will not be in the next life series. Which is fine! she says she's working on content that you all watch so.

I wish there was a way to create like a scrap book or something of all of the supportive posts on all the social medias to send to Dream, because I feel like the people on Dream’s side are really spread out at this point and if all he’s seeing is Twitter it just not a lot and can’t help him feel good. And like for him not just to see that people support him no matter what or whatever but that people actually relate to him. That we see what’s happening even if no one else does. That he is not alone in being made fun of for any of these things from social inappropriate behavior, speech and logic to sexual orientation. Not just so he knows people have his back, but knows he isn’t alone and isn’t weird or wrong or insufficient or worthy of this treatment… I have been hurt so bad in situations like this with like 20 people, I can’t even fathom what it must feel like to have hundreds of thousands (millions?). And don’t even get me started on the content creators, who make the people who betrayed me look like angels…

Anyways… I’m sorry I’ve talked a lot about this over the past week, especially when I strive to keep my main blog more dsmp related and drama free for the most part for anyone not wanting to get involved. And usually I wouldn’t have gotten involved and in the past I have been annoyed at first or whatever but then tried to ignore it and move on. This time I didn’t (couldn’t?), I’m not sure why this is different. Why this drama just bothers me so much more, it’s not like injustice, lies, bandwagon, hypocrisy or any of these things are new… my best theory is that so many of the things people are attributing to Dream being a “proper movie villain” are things I see in myself so perhaps it feels as though the internet is against me too? Or that it hurts so much to see someone struggle with the same things you have? Or maybe it’s the hopelessness that comes with my very first prediction that no matter what autistic people will always be disliked. I don’t know, I think this has bothered me more than when people harassed me and called me ableist in September… like it’s just so… but again, I will say having y’all commiserate with me in this has helped a lot and I guess I want Dream to feel that too.

INTRODUCTION

To get some things out of the way before we properly begin, when I'm talking abt the characters I will put a ! in front, when I am talking about the ships I am NEVER shipping the actual content creators. Additionally, I am not making this post to hate on q!Teaduo in any way, shape, or form. I'm also using the name “Teaduo” instead of “Bagina” for !Bagi x q!Tina because it’s more widely used.

With that out of the way, here’s my yap!!!

Personally I think Moongi is really well done, it’s very well developed and ak!Moon & !Bagi’s dynamics are very interesting to watch. You can really see how much effort is put into both characters and how much depth and development the ship has. Overall it’s a lot more developed than Teaduo was.

I think the main reasons moongi is so much more developed than teaduo and whatnot is because of:

1. How much time they had

2. Circumstances (idk what else to call it)

POINT #1, “TIME”

So, I think a lot of the issues with teaduo stemmed from the fact that both Bagi and Tina respectively had very little time to play together on the QSMP. They were in different timezones, the server was dying, and they both often missed each other when they WERE playing. I think q!Teaduo’s relationship could have been a lot more developed and had much more depth if the pair was given more time to interact like Moongi had. There were many moments that could have led to the development of q!Teaduo that just didn’t happen because of time constraints and conflicting schedules. These issues aren’t often a problem with Moongi so I think that allowed them to have a lot more room to grow and develop as a pairing.

POINT #2, “CIRCUMSTANCES”

First, let me clarify what I mean by “Circumstances”. When i say circumstances i mean these 3 main facts:

Fact A. Tina doesn’t have much experience with Minecraft roleplay.

Fact B. Bagi’s first language isn’t English and Tina doesn’t speak Portuguese.

Fact C. Both creators were getting back into playing Minecraft after a long time and were still navigating how to go about interacting with their environment and all the new people they were meeting, including each other.

POINT #2, “FACT A”

When Tina joined QSMP it was her first big Minecraft roleplay experience. She was on the DSMP prior to QSMP but didn’t really roleplay much (to my knowledge, I didn’t watch her much prior to QSMP). Anyways, because of this Tina was still trying to fully grasp how she wanted to go about her character, and by extension q!Teaduo’s relationship, leading her to take things slower and more cautiously (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing! she obviously needed time to figure out how she wanted to play her character and go about developing q!Teaduo). Anyways, I think this is also a big reason for why q!Teaduo both had less development and moved a lot slower than Moongi.

POINT #2, FACT B

Obviously, another reason for why q!Teaduo got a lot less development than Moongi was because of the language barrier between Tina and Bagi (which, even with Quackity’s translator, was still very much a thing.) I feel like q!Teaduo could have evolved a lot more if both creators could understand each other more clearly and therefore communicate, and express their feelings more effectively.

POINT #2, FACT C

I feel like I don’t have to elaborate on this point much because I think it speaks for itself. Both Tina and Bagi were getting back into playing Minecraft after a long time of not playing it. Because of this, when they joined QSMP, they had to sort of get back in the groove of meeting and interacting with new people, INCLUDING EACH OTHER. As a result of this they had to take some more time to get used to each other and others, especially with the language barriers. This is another reason that q!Teaduo moved a lot slower than Moongi, because with q!Teaduo they had to get warmed up to each other and get used to playing minecraft (especially with other people) again, something that was not an issue with Moongi.

CONCLUSION

Anyways that was my yap!!!! if you read this whole thing i’m actually baffled cuz i yapped SO much LMAO. Just a reminder that all of this is just silly yap and thoughts and nothing serious <3

A while back, @feather-sapace asked for the original design sheets for Wilbur and Foolish, so, here they are! Just remember that this was art I made a couple years ago, back before I started my Roleshuffle AU comic, so it's definitely a touch old. But let's start with Foolish!

A lot of people do a lot of different things for Foolish. He's kind of one of the weirder skins to make a design for--it's not super cut-and-dry like Ant's or Tommy's or George's or something, but it's not as necessarily out-there as Dream's is, or even Skeppy's, for that matter. So, when designing him, I had a lot of wiggle room to interpret/make my own. Since in the canon dsmp, he goes for a fantasy desert theme, I tried to kind of keep the same vibe with his design.

He doesn't really have any clothes on his skin, but unlike with Ant (who gets a free pass since he's an anthropomorphic cat) who can just roam around without any clothes and have it look normal (in the same way it's normal for Techno not to have pants), it really would be strange for Foolish to do that, since he's more humanoid. So, I gave him a fun little outfit, instead. Fun fact! You only really see this a couple of times, since most of the time he has his shark hat on, but his robe (tunic? dress? idk) doesn't actually have a back above the middle-tie-thingy. Neither does his tank top, technically. Why, you ask? Well...I just kind of wanted to. Oh, also, his eyes aren't just shaped like that. It's canonically eyeliner. I think the only time thus far he's seen without his eyeliner is after he got hit by the minecart, lol.

In other design terms, you have the issue of the shark itself. Foolish's skin is based off of a totem, but it also has these shark elements. It's never clear if that's supposed to be because he's a hybrid or if he just... wears that for some reason. So, I went with the latter of making it into clothes, even though this wasn't particularly true to the skin--he only has bits of the shark on him (the head on his head, shark-y hands, etc.). The hat is cool, though, and even though we haven't gotten to this yet, I tried to give it LORE so it'd not be as random.

Speaking of LORE, you may notice that Foolish's eyes glow in the original design sheet! He doesn't do that in the comic. Not yet, anyways. One of the big things I wanted to do with this comic is fix the ending problem and (since they're 100% connected) the problem with c!Dream. I left Foolish's design open in a few areas to changes later down the line in the story. I want to justify the canon dsmp's attempt to have its audience sympathize with c!Dream by actually altering parts of the story to make him, well, sympathize-able. We are suuuuuper close to getting to the point where this is going to become relevant in my comic--it's in the next arc! I think my idea will still make Foolish a good villain and such, but still leave room for audiences to still think of him as human.

Oh, also, his bead earrings were originally blue, but since simple is often times better in designs you have to draw over and over and over again, I changed it to his iconic green. Having too many colors on one character can be overwhelming for you to draw all the time, and it's not very cohesive, so it's important to remember that complex designs aren't always better designs when making characters.

I kind of wrote a lot for this, so I'm going to talk about Wilbur tomorrow in his own separate post. Hope you enjoy!

alright, so i have been asked some questions on twi regarding dsmp stuff, and i thought it would be better to make a whole post out of it

1. What is the root cause of the conflict and Dream's subsequent "chase" of Tommy? Does Dream have any clear motivation for this or does he do it more, so to speak, "by inertia", because he likes it and it is part of his life, as you already wrote?

as i already mentioned in the music theme thread, i hc manhunt happening prior to the events of the dsmp (maybe someday i'll expand on c!dream's past, but for now i'm leaving this question open), and the essempie (which is a region rather than the whole server) is somewhat of a sanctuary for c!dream - a place to start a new life without running away from death all the time, and he cherishes the peace it provides A LOT. and, as we all know, c!tommy's actions are a direct threat to this peace. c!dream is willing to stop this kid from taking away his refuge at any cost, and he will be getting more aggressive with every conflict, though he doesn't want to get rid of c!tommy completely, as he is an important piece in the broader game, although a chaotic one. it's really ironic that he went back to being hunted and called a tyrant and a devil because of him so desperatly trying to prevent it.

2. Why are Phil and Dream on bad terms? Is it because of Dream's connection to XD or is there something else to it?

okay, so, c!phil doesn't know much about c!dream actually, and he certainly isn't aware that he is in some way related to xd (exdee is not actually called 'dream'xd by mortals, only original gods know his real name), though he might be starting to suspect it. c!phil's reasoning for not liking c!dream is pretty simple - he acts like a dick and is being very aggressive towards c!tommy (phil would be the only KIND OF okay guardian for tommy on this server tbh, and he juuuust a tiny bit cares for him, like for any other child in danger). in the long run phil becomes much more antagonistic and open about his growing dislike of dream, as being his ally becomes a death sentence, but techno just doesn't stop working with that guy dream though. he thinks of phil as a very oblivious man (by being, in dream's opinion, inattentive towards his son and remaining neutral with l'manburg for a long time) and is offended by him claiming to be wise. dream might've even dropped the "at least i didn't neglect my son and then kill him" bomb during one of their quarrels, which definitely didn't help

What is the dream smp drama ?

tl;dr called all Tommyinnit fans the r slur, deleted the tweet and didn't apologise till waaaay later, before which he made multiple streams and all the shit about him started coming out again (because his streams made everything worse). Tubbo made a stream about it in a very mature way by asking to talk on stream (Dream has a history of cutting private conversations up to make other creators look bad) and eventually it just turned into Tubbo vs Dream because Tommy blocked him, and Dream started being a shit to Tubbo. Most of the dsmp, some outside ccs, and editors/twitter folk who were in the fandom got involved revealing more stuff about Dream and how shitty he was.

A little after this were the first set of grooming allegations against Dream, made by Alexandria (October 2022)

This just caused the dsmp to kinda just fall out

Tommy made a video entitled "If Youtubers were Honest" which included a part on the Dream vs Quackity (5 Aug 2023)

Dream texted Tom's mum, bro literally harassed Tom's mum

fast forward to 2025:

Tommyinnit calls Mizkif the worst person he’s knows

Mizkif calls Tommy cringe and annoying which xQc also does in his reaction to Mizkif's stream

Tommy called xQc a trump supporter (true)

xQc had a public meltdown saying Trump is cool and that Tommy is dickriding Dream (but he does this by giving free promo to Tommy's show)

This is where our path also diverges because there are so many streamers. Everyone reacts to the tweet and Dream deletes it.

Then Dream ranted to reddit saying he didn’t understand cause he’s autistic so he should be able to reclaim it (stupidest thing i’ve ever heard). It was meant to be his "apology". He also mentioned that the public’s reaction to Nicolas Cantu doing the same was generally positive (while i do agree most of the public went overboard in terms of support for Cantu especially when he used slurs as insults - most people only focused on him calling out Dream for covering up assaults and being weird around women and children + after the initial hype died down most people did agree his use of slurs and harassment of the driver was horrible - hence why he’s literally gone. He has no upcoming roles and he's def not coming back for the tmnt sequel). The biggest issue here is how instead of taking accountability he’s pulling this whataboutism card.

Also just a note that he claims he saw the meme, but people did the reverse image search - he created it.

id: Genuinely still confused on what the "rules" are. Honestly not trying to be obtuse, multiple people go viral calling me the r word and everyone explains that its ok because they're neurodivergent, so then I see a meme that uses it and post it and get absolutely throttled for it. Obviously it's the internet being disingenous, but that doesn't completely invalidate anyone that might be upset by it. Most of the people calling me ableist for using it are the same people that lit off fireworks when Nicolas Cantu was the slur slinging slasher (including Tommy's closest friends). it's either okay or it's not okay, the double standards are infuriating. I have my own reasons for having a problem with Tommy going around being the "internet police" and was expecting to get a lot of shit for going after poor Tommy that lies about me constantly, but obviously i had no intentions of attacking every Dream SMP fan or being ableist lmao. Either way, my lesson from this is that twitter is somehow even less reasonable than i thought in the first place, oh and don't use the r word under any circumstances even if you see a funny meme and you're autistic. Why is Dream only getting involved and doing this much when Tommy insulted xQc and not you know when he called Dream a pedo

When Technoblade seemed focused on splitting wood, Philza limped over to the campfire.

Building Philza's half of the cabin has proven to be difficult work. Not that the building itself was complicated or that the heavy lifting was strenuous, but the arctic itself wasn't the most hospitable building environment. Philza's measuring tape was blown away by the wind at least five times, Techno's axe was hidden under snowfall when he wasn't looking, and their damned fire kept going out.

It was early in the morning, and this new day has thankfully proven to be less windy than the others. Phil was supposed to begin laying down stones for the fireplace when he turned instead to the fire.

"You can't be tired already, old man," Techno smirked over his shoulder. He must've thought he was slick, leaving his work when Techno wasn't looking.

His smile faded when he heard Philza wince upon lowering himself to the ground.

"Whoa, whoa," Techno said, "You good?"

"I'm great," Phil replied with no lack of bitterness, his voice tight with pain. Techno dragged a log over by the fire and lifted his partner onto it, giving him a more comfortable seat than the snowy dirt. "Thanks mate, you didn't have to do that."

"What was that? You're not about 'ta pass out on me or anythin', are you?"

"Nah, I'm alright. It's just," Phil's face scrunched as a wave of pain hit him, "this hip of mine. I'll feel better if I sit by the fire a while." He rubbed a hand along his right hip, massaging away a cramp.

Techno hummed in the back of his throat. His own home stood nearby, surrounded by the various materials he's gathered in the hopes that his friend would join him here. He's been dreaming of this for what felt like decades-- any short period of time away from Phil felt like ages, and he could minimize that time. But...

"Suddenly this isn't feelin' like all that great of an idea, huh?"

"Hm?"

"Why am I makin' you live in the literal arctic when the cold hurts you so bad, man? Maybe we gotta look at other places?"

"I--" Phil looked up at him with surprise. "No, Techno. No. This is your home."

"I want it to be your home--"

"I love it here."

Taken aback by his sudden sincerity, Techno searched Phil's face for any sign of hesitancy. He saw, instead, a pair of warm blue eyes and a nose made rosy from the cold. He saw snowflakes falling magically around his friend, settling sometimes on his shoulders and hair.

"I love it here," Phil repeated. "This will get easier. I have all the time in the world to heal from this, I just--" he smiled, "I just need to sit by the fire for a while, is all."

Techno sighed. There was no arguing with Philza Minecraft when he had his heart set on something. "Okay," he allowed, "but if you're gonna change your mind, you better do it before I finish diggin' the basement out."

Phil chuckled. Techno worked harder than ever to ensure that he had a nicer fireplace to sit at.

Then he states that he does not like the labels that are being used surrounding him and that his family and friends know that he isn't an abusive

And to prove his point he'd have to share personal information about himself which is isn't comfortable with, so we should just trust him

To which, the genuine counter argument is:

1. We knew what the inside of his old apartment was, because Fundy showed it in a vlog

2. We know the city he lives in. THE CITY

3. We know his age (roughly), gender, date of birth, full legal name and his physical looks

4. We know what he would have named his first born child if they were born AFAB

5. People know where he's going to be because of his tours

6. We know his preferred brand of clothing, his style of clothing etc...

7. We know what he did/would have done at University, as he used to say on the dsmp that he was an English major. Since we don't have "Majors" in the UK, the thing he was most likely to be referring to is his pursuits for an English Language and Literature degree.

7.5 we know it was an English Language and Literature degree because he himself recounted learning and being interested in Hamilton and The Odysseus (being English Literature) and English Language is creative writing. Like the script of the dsmp

8. People know what trains and tubs he takes (idk how but they do)

And ALL this information was shared by him, in either his blogs, videos, live streams or collabs. So to say he doesn't share personal information yet have all this out thier is a lie

Furthermore to say that "alot of influence have to share personal information with fans for XZY" is a lie, because content creator like Ethoslab, Zombiecleo, Okaysoheresthething, Ranboo, MANY vtubers and other have all been able to keep both their likeness and personal information out of public spaces by just choosing not to share it, and taking the necessary steps not to have it public

But anyways, then he said he still stands by what his statement said in February of last year but people "misinterpreted probably due to his wording"

To which I'll point out again he's an English major/was a uni student for English/has a degree in English. So he either lied about his academic pursuits or his wording was somewhat intentional, because their ain't NO WAY-

Then he states that he doesn't the "sides to fight each other"

To which, I would like to add my own personal accounts of his fans. Not one single Shubble supporter or victim supporters did or said anything negative or harmful to me even when I asked questions.

His fans on the other hand... Yeahhhhhhh.

But sure it's a good message to stand by, and no one should be sending death threats or "fighting" each other.

But to promote his band and to say he wants to do more videos. Leading many to realise the first 30% of the 5 minutes long video was just engagement baiting, into getting more people to see, spread and recognise that he's coming back to content creation and his band is preforming again
