do phil & techno exist in your au?

yes they do!! i keep forgetting to talk about them and i think it's because i haven't explored their characters enough in my head so im not as attached to them in this au, but i really want to develop them more. originally this was an sbi au but then my crimeboys solo brain (and my tntduo brain) took over. but sbi is very much a found family in this au too!!!

i think i mentioned that wilbur met techno first, probably through their job? originally i wanted phil to be a college prof who meets wilbur when hes a student, but then i scrapped wilbur going to college after school because he doesnt have the money or time (he does eventually go in his late twenties!! because he really wants to like he loves learning and it was always a dream of his), so phil is still a college prof in my heart but yeah.

he's techno's dad, and techno's mum isn't even in the picture, i guess she's dead lmao. yeah im making that canon she's dead because then wilbur and techno can make dead mum jokes. <- you just saw the live process of a fact being canonised.

anyway twinsduo bond at their retail job over talking about history and ancient greece and literature. techno is a classics major at his dad's college, and he took a job to get some money on the side. sometimes he sneaks wilbur his textbooks just because he's really passionate about the topic and he's really jealous of techno who gets to learn about it and have the college experience and live at home with his dad.

phil and wilbur have a Somewhat? fatherly? relationship? over time as crimeboys & emeraldduo grow closer phil definitely starts acting as a father/mentor figure for wilbur, but it's never like. official. wilbur doesn't call him Dad or anything. but they still love each other a lot it's very much found family but i suppose not in the traditional sense.

it takes a LONG time for wilbur to warm up to phil though, he has a tendency to distrust adults given. well. His Whole Life Experience i guess. but the second tommy meets techno he makes it his life's mission to annoy him as much as possible. This is a mark of love. it takes a long time for techno to realise that . tommy and phil also get along pretty quickly, phil's chill, easy-going vibe matches well with tommy's . General Presence.

they live a couple streets away from wilbur & tommy's flat (and later in the story when wilbur buys a house with q they buy the house right beside phil and techno's. they make a hole in the fence separating the houses so they can hang out in the other house more easily!). phil gets really worried about wilbur when he learns that he has a teen and a baby in his care alone, so he tries his best to help out where he can, but obviously wilbur's a stubborn asshole who refuses help, so phil has to be subtle about it. one day when he's visiting he finds the fridge is empty except for baby formula and a single sandwich for tommy's lunch, he doesn't leave wilbur a choice he makes him come over and feeds all of them. and wilbur keeps protesting but phil's like "it hurts them too if you refuse help" and so he shuts up.

phil teaches english, and he's kinda the cool old teacher who always swears and talks shit but who cares a lot about his students, and it's a similar relationship he has with crimeboys. he and techno also have a very funny (to me) relationship because often when they talk it doesn't feel like a father and son, more like two weird old friends who constantly jab at each other. it's very confusing if you don't know them.

techno also doesn't have a lot of friends (mostly by choice) and phil is like. The One Person he trusts the most. he begrudgingly starts allowing wilbur in that circle. eventually also tommy although that takes work (thats a lie techno loves tommy but he has to act like he hates him because yknow. The Principle).

to a lot of people's surprise, fundy and techno latch on to each other very quickly. it's surprising because fundy was a very very shy and anxious kid, and as a baby, he would cry if he was held by anyone who wasn't wilbur. and techno is this big burly socially awkward guy who doesn't know how to give hugs. but for some reason fundy immediately trusts him and lets him carry him and techno is very gentle with him. he doesn't talk to him like a baby, he has conversations with 6 month old fundy about ancient greece and politics and linguistics. he's the only person besides wilbur who fundy will fall asleep in the arms of. even when fundy's an older kid they still have that bond, at any social events they'll be in the corner so they don't have to talk to people.

techno also plays the violin, and when he learns this tommy begs him for months to play him something and he refuses. one day tommy comes home crying because he had an awful day and skimmed his knee and got a bad grade and his lunch got soaked in the rain, and techno leads him up to his room and silently begins to play a piece. tommy never shut up so quickly in his life LMAO

Imagine villain!emduo where they do some kidnapping along with other villainy things. But Techno and Phil have differing views about how to knock someone out while kidnapping them. Phil's an expert at potion making and prefers to use his potions to render someone unconscious (think like chloroform). Techno prefers to just knock them out the old fashioned way - using his fists. When Phil asks why, the conversation goes like this:

Phil: Using my potions are way easier, why bother with your fists?

Techno: Do you know how harmful those chemicals are to the body?

Phil, in disbelief: So you can bash a man's head in but draw the line at drugging? God forbid the Blood God gives his kidnappees chemical poisoning.

Techno: Bruhhhh

he was around 350 years old when he stumbled to the doorstep of a village doctor.

(the half-lost memories of an immortal. started as an ask game, now poorly translated to ao3.)

SO FAR: 7 chapters, 2,600 words. mostly poetry-prose. small chance i'll add more, but complete for now.

it’s still fucking devastating to me that ctechno is canonically dead. i saw a screenshot of phil’s chat when he was fighting a code monster on qsmp and it was filled with “BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD” and i just thought like. what if cphil hears the voices now. what if they came to him with no other place to go. he doesn’t notice at first, but sometimes he’ll hear something and think it’s a crow but his crows aren’t around at the minute. he thinks nothing of it until he's in the middle of a battle one day against a simple mob and suddenly his head is flooded with "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD, BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD" and once the mob is dead he nearly cries. what if huh.

what if in his next life, or hundreds of years in the future, wherever the qsmp is in the timeline of canon, he ends up on this island. and he's missing some memories, and he doesn't really know where he came from, but he knows he has these crows that follow him around, and he likes them. and he has a son, and he's taking care of wil's daughter, and he has a husband, loves them so very much. and he had a friend, a very good friend named techno, and he remembers just enough to build a memorial because he knows his friend is gone, and his family loves hearing about him, and the others on the island know and respect his old friend.

and then he's attacked by this monster that threatens his family and his friends and everything he holds dear, and his once quiet head is suddenly deafening. all he can hear is disembodied chanting for blood. and once the monster is dead, once he knows his family is safe, the voices linger a bit longer, making sure he's fine, that there's nothing left to fight, and then they're gone as quick as they were there.

and he raises a hand to his face to feel tears on his cheeks, and he remembers now that those voices used to be techno's. he wonders how he ever forgot.

RIGHT so the pirate au

well it's nothing very original don't get your hopes up or anything BUT. basically it's mainly lmancrew (with a crimeboys focus) and tntduo centered and it's set in like a medieval-esque fictional setting like basically six of crows minus the magic. like i literally typed six of crows into pinterest to get good images those are the vibes

wilbur's captain of this ship called the l'manberg (ok no but i hesitated between naming the ship or their og town lmanburg but i ended up naming the ship that because i just think it's such a good ship name like . she/her in a boat way. does this make sense) and the crew is niki, jack, eret, fundy and tubbo (well obviously theres more people cause how would a ship Function but the rest of those are Unnamed background characters).

wilbur's also a pretty high ranked official like idk general or captain of the guard idk how the military works i would have to figure that out, but basically he's kinda famous and so's his ship. they aren't participating in a war it's more of like an explorer position because wilbur's known for being a brilliant cartographer and so the previous king just kinda appointed him to this new position to let him fuck off & do his own thing mapping the whole world with his crew. the issue is the old king died with no heir and replaced by his nephew (dream) who's much more controlling and power-hungry than he was and who doesn't want to waste money & resources on some bs like maps. this will create Conflict (im so good at narration guys. Help)

tommy's like a homeless orphan (as he alwyas is) and really needs a job and money and all that and he hears the l'manburg isn't at sea for once and wilbur & his crew are taking a rest at the capital for a couple days before sailing back off again. naturally he sneaks in, lives in the storage room for like a week or two, surviving off scraps of food . then tubbo stumbles across him and almost reports him, but tommy convinces him not to and so tubbo helps him for a couple days. then someone else finds him, and he's brought to the captain and they all threaten to throw the stowaway overboard (they wouldn't actually they're all kinda softies) and tommy's like pissing himself from how scared he is especially cause wilbur's like . this really famous general who's had books and songs written about him and shit (he doesn't know yet hes just an annoying pretentious prick (/lovingly)) so he's like Ohmygod im dead and then wilbur's like . "Can you cook" "erm no" "can you clean" "yeah ig" "Can you fight even somewhat decently" "yeah bitch me and my knives are the best they call me th-" "Ok you're hired" AND THUS tommy joins the crew

and so they keep on sailing with their mission yadda yadda and WHAM they encounter the most notorious pirate crew of the continent, named, you guessed it, las nevadas. and tommy's heard a lot of proper horror stories about them and he's terrified but the crew have fought them off a bunch of times before so they're mainly annoyed because they're gonna have to deal with the frankly disgustingly homoerotic rivalry that their captain and the pirate captain have been passionately engaging in for several years now. THATS RIGHT TNTDUO BABY oh they are so pathetic and so gay it's actually embarrassing they'll have like sword duels . wilbur's the uptight, bitchy, and somewhat pretentious general with perfectly styled hair and ornate coat always huffing and puffing and waxing poetry meanwhile quackity's the fuckin bad boy stereotype with like a half unbuttoned poet or blackshirt (slut) (wilbur cannot stop staring its embarrassing) and he's always hanging off ropes and shit and doing sick acrobatics and taunting wilbur GOD they're so. and yeah they have sword duels where all they do is "distract the opponent" in order to "efficiently win the battle" which is code for "practically make out while hurling insults at each other"

also crimeboys is like "in awe of the legendary general" "who is this child on my boat" >>> "oh my god the general's a prick" "oh my god the child's a demon" >>> "maybe he's not that bad but i would rather die and curse his entire family line than admit that" >>> "that is my brother i would die for him and if you lay a hand upon him you won't have hands anymore" (the funny thing is they both end up with that same level of protectiveness and making the same threats despite wilbur being a like Adult and high ranked official with power and influence and decades of training of elaborate swordsmanship behind him . and tommy is a stowaway fifteen year old orphan with three knives and teeth and a whole lot of anger . but they're both like "no i must protect and die for the other" im sorry i just love them ok theyre so stupid) i just LOVE crimeboys having to go through begrudging bonding instead of instantly being ride or die brothers GIVE ME TO MORE ENEMIES TO FRIENDS TO BROTHERS anyway

also we also get emerald duo in the form of them being co-captains (please pretend that is a thing i know Nothing about anything ever) of this other ship and they're like independent merchants or whatever idk i have not figured out that whole bit yet MY POINT IS they're not affiliated with anyone they just sorta do their own thing and only help people if they want to or are indebted . they help out wilbur sometimes cause he's a dumbass

speaking of wilbur like i said he's had books and songs written about him (his age is kind of a grey zone like on one hand he's pretty young for a general but he's also had time to become this like famous and mysterious figure so can't be Too young . so i think probably like 27-29? smth like that) and one of them was a legend about how he fell in love with a mermaid . yes she had red hair and teal scales and her name was sally BUT SHE'S STILL AN OCEAN MERMAID I KNOW SALMONS LIVE IN RIVERS anyway . also for little tntduo crumbs he's called quackity a siren multiple times (in his mind he's insulting him like "ooh you manipulate people" and everyone around him is like "that is the Gayest thing you could possibly have said") and quackity's like "didnt you date a mermaid" "yeah but sirens are like evil mermaids" "so you want to date me" and then wilbur stabs him

ALSO more about wilbur's character development (this is a bit spoilerish but also it's not like im ever writing this full fic so you're not exactly risking much but just be warned) he starts out like i said as this really uptight military official who started when he was really young and trained really hard and flew through the ranks really fast because he worked his ass off . And so he's Very protective of his rank & title & prestige not so much because he's snobbish but because he worked so hard for it but so it often comes across as him being this like pretentious fuck (well he's also pretentious but thats just wilbur) . also he originally dreamed of being a cartographer and he spent his whole childhood drawing up maps but then he realised he couldn't make a living out of that so he decided to work hard enough to be at the top and then do what he wanted. and so he wears like his tricorn hat with a feather and his ornate coat and neatly tucked in shirt and everything cause for him it's like Proof that he Did it yknow . but then as time goes by, especially in the presence of quackity (who's very antihero-esque and so does not give a shit about ranks or whatever he's a pirate he does his own thing) and also a bit tommy (who was literally dressed in rags until they clothed and fed him but still behaves like a street rat on the most famous ship of the country) he slowly loosens up and he ends up ditching the coat and the hat and instead wears more stuff like loose poet shirts (open because he's a slut) . and so yeah character development through clothing and whatnot

ok so YEAH those are the tidbits that were plaguing my mind the most but there's definitely a whole lot more in my head like ive got a pinterest board and shit

I’m making a commitment to C!sbi as much as possible. Specifically the characters of the DSMP. I do not mean the content creators.

I tend to use both tags for the characters but for C!Wilbur I will only use the character tag for him as I mean that for his character. NOT the content creator.

SBI also extends to the duos in SBI, c!Crimeboys as I am obsessed with their story. C!bedrock duos because only my god they were a tragedy with conflicting ideals! C!emerald duo because for them it be the world. And other duos in SBI as well.

Sometimes it will also be just the sole character as well.

Other characters will also sometimes be in it like C!Tubbo, or C!Ranboo but it will mostly consist of C!SBI

Fanfics are also included when I draw C!SBI as some art will likely be art from said fic. Whether it wholesome, dark, depressing, toxic, or whatever.

All my c!sbi art is always platonic as I like to HC them as family or found family depending on the AU.

I will date my art, all art I do of dsmp SBI I will put the date when I made it and credits linking back to this tumblr account specifically.

c!Phil and c!Techno were always weird to me because I feel like they're two pretty interesting and deeply and obviously flawed characters who just. never actually had to deal with their issues or failings. Phil kind of had to after Wilbur's death but he didn't really change as a person, he was just sadder and angrier, and it just kind of faded away after his revival

In a kinder, nicer world, cEmeraldduo are a pair of equally self-obsessed, selfish, power-tripping cowards who use each other as validation for their "violence as power" "strength as a right to control" worldview who feed into each others awfulness in the most godawful feedback loop known to man: with cPhil as the frail old man immortal so out of touch with any sense of morality or humanity who sees himself as the wizened old leader atop his ivory tower of comfort and security that he may dispense humble teachings and punishment at his discretion. cTechno, likewise, would be the wall of muscle he hides behind whenever people take poorly to his brazen violations of their homes and attachments. he'd also be a whiny little bitch baby who has violent hissy tantrums each time he's told No in some way. his constant lashings out like in doomsday would be seen as the childish fits they are and would be framed as a clear reason this guy should Not be allowed to dictate how people live their lives or group together via the syndicate. cRanboo would find out about the festival and the pit and be utterly disgusted he ever allowed himself to live near these rotten fuckers and would take his belongings and leave post haste. they'd make each other worse and worse and worse until they crumbled over their own bullshit and either got killed by cDream or murdered each other or were swallowed by a nuclear fireball. they'd be punished for all the times they willful aided the child abuser stalking serial killer. there would be no ao3 comments accusing me of disrespecting ccTechno's memory because I wrote his character as a villain and life would be lovely forever and we'd all each peaches and lay out in the sunshine.
